Tokyo. Present day. Every year there is a fighting competition between schools city wide. This competition is unofficial though. The competition is not for the weak and annually it has a death toll of at least one person. The competitors often have to keep an eye out for the police because the cities wants to shut down the competition. But sometimes the police cant even do anything. The Sasaki Highschool is new to this competition this year. They have to find at least five candidates to represent their school or they will be unable to participate.

Rules for the tournament:
1. The fights have to take place on school grounds.
2. The fight is over when one of the rival gives up, otherwise its a fight to death.

Sasaki high: The Sasaki high school is a school for about 1000 students. It have a 3 floor building with 40 classrooms, a large gym, a dojo, a courtyard, a cafe, a cafeteria, a school garden and dorms for students who come from further away. Other than classes 1 to 3, there is a special year for those who have already gotten their high school diploma but have to wait a year until they can go to the university. This special year is the teaching assistance year that can shorten university time for those who want to become teachers by a semester. Teaching assistants still have to partially go by student dress code: Girls have to wear a white shirt or a serafuku, boys have to wear a white shirt.

Uniforms: -Students: Girls have to wear a blue and white serafuku with a blue skirt, thighhighs and dress shoes. Boys have to wear a white shirt, black pants and a black gakuran jacket. (There are summer and winter uniforms). Undershirts are allowed for example a turtleneck at wintertime. Female teaching assistants who wear the serafuku have black and white serafukus.
