{Full Name}
Rowan Santiago Dubois

{Nicknames}
Ro | Used by casual friends, co-workers and sometimes teachers.
Santi | Used by close family and good friends

{Age}
nineteen (19)

{Birthday}
February 1st

{Sexuality and Romantic Interest}
Heteroflexible (he tipsily made out with a guy once and didn't completely hate it)

{Heritage}
Cuban-American
(Rowan's mother was born in Havana, Cuba and moved to the United States after marrying his father)

Among Rowan's many talents, his dancing stands out the most. He's been loving dancing, and music in general, since he was a child. However, something about expressing oneself with their body always captured his attention. He not only loves to learn and do, but he loves to teach. Granted, he's still too young to be teaching anywhere, and he's still got things to learn himself, but his ultimate goal is to teach dance to those that have the same love for it as he does. Rowan has competed in many dance competitions, and won several of them. Dance is a huge part of who he is.

Aside from that, he taught himself how to play the guitar. He's fairly good at it, and only keeps getting better. However, because he spends most of his time in the dance studios, his guitar is often neglected. Still Rowan's skill at playing it is unquestionable. He's able to listen to a song once, and already manage to play portions of it with his strings. His father bought him his first guitar, and though he since has gotten a couple of new ones, he still cherishes the gift like a valuable treasure.

{Style}
Like any dancer, Rowan prefers to wear lose-fitting clothes. Preferably sweats and plain, thin t-shirts. This not only allows him to move with ease, but also keeps his body temperate cooler. Even while he's outside the dance studio, his habit has become to wear these types of clothes. However, on occasions when he has to dress up a bit more than the norm, his style leans most towards the Urban street wear side, with a few modifications. Rowan is not fashionista, but he enjoys looking fresh and clean.

{Height and Weight}
6 feet 1 inch, 171 lbs

{Hair}
Dirty blonde and wavy. He likes to keep his undercut high and short, leaving only the very top of his head long enough to reach his eyes. He rarely ever styles it because he's constantly washing off the sweat, but when he does it's merely a run of his fingers with a bit of gel and he's set.

{Eyes}
Bright blue with specks of gold. They're fairly small and sharp, almost sunk into his features, and framed by thick, dark lashes and eyebrows.

{Distinguishing Markings}
His tattoos: Rowan has tattoos all over his body. It started out as an adventure. He was dared to get a Betty Boop tattoo on the day he turned 18. Never having been one to back out of a dare, Rowan did just that. And then one tattoo turned into hundreds, each one with a special meaning and story behind it.
Small, white scar on his right knee: A result of an accident he had when he was younger while trying to jump a barb wire fence.

{Overall}
If looks could kill, Rowan would have been in jail long ago. With his height, his muscle mass, his sharp facial features and tattoos, Rowan tends to give off a very, very intimidating vibe. Though he caries himself in a calm way, he's known for having a resting bitch face. He doesn't mean to stare daggers at people, it just happens. Everything about his look and his aura scares most.

Over view here.
In completely contrast to Rowan's look is his personality. At least, once you get to know him. He's your run-of-the-mill sheep -n wolf's clothing. He may frighten people with his looks, maybe even his first few words, but all it takes is five minutes. Five minutes of sitting down and having a conversation with Rowan, for one to realize that yes, looks can be very deceiving. Out of many things, Rowan is mostly a passionate soul. Of course he's mostly passionate about music and dance, but that's not all of it. He's passionate about people as well. Who they are, what they're like, why they love what they love. It may be difficult to approach him at first, but once one does, becoming friends will be a walk in the park.He's a selfless friend. He will give 110% of himself to that friendship without expecting anything in return. He's very ambitious, shooting for new heights and adventures not many do, even if there's a high probability he might fail. In a sense, he's very brave. He's never been, nor will he ever be one to back down from a challenge. This is due to the fact that he is confident in himself and his skills. Some may perceive it as arrogance, but Rowan knows his limits. He knows he can't be good at everything, however he will still try. He can be very sensitive as hard as it may be to believe. It will be a task to get through to his gooey center, but once one does, it's best they cherish that. It's not that he doesn't believe in second chances, but it will be extremely difficult to gain his trust back once it's broken. He believes that revenge is something only god should be in charge of, however that doesn't mean that he will easily forgive and forget when something is done to him or anyone he loves. He's the true definition of a gentle giant.

{Likes and Dislikes}
βœ“ Music βœ“ Dancing βœ“ Strong coffee βœ“ Cuban food βœ“ His pit bull Lucy (and dogs in general) βœ“ His little sister βœ“ exercising βœ“ playing guitar βœ“ watching others play guitar (or any other instrument really) βœ“ classical music βœ“ spicy foods βœ“ motorcycles βœ“ girls and everything about them

β˜“ Tea β˜“ gossip β˜“ cliques (he never liked the fact that there were cliques in high school and he certainly doesn't like them now) β˜“ liars β˜“ ass-kissing (he believes that only hard work should make one successful) β˜“ drama β˜“ fast foods β˜“ bullies (his little sister is bullied for her speech impediment) β˜“ parties (though he'll always go when invited)

{Strengths}
β™  Music β™  From a very young age, Rowan has always had a musical inclination. It was partially due to his mother. She played a large variety of music even while he was still in the womb. Now as a young adult, everything he does revolves around music.
β™  Dance β™  Rowan can move his body in ways you wouldn't think possible. He also has the ability to listen to a song for the first time and instantly think of choreography moves. He can dance anything from a salsa to a heavy krump. Though his proffered style is contemporary.
β™  Willpower β™  The reason Rowan has achieved so much at such a young age is not only because of his talent but largely due to his strong willpower. He's the type to try time and time again until failure turns into a success, regardless of how many times it takes.

{Weaknesses}
β™  Temper β™  Yes Rowan is a passive person, very difficult to irritate. But when he does get angry, everything around him quivers. He's got the kind of temper that resembles a volcano. It stays dormant as long as it's not disturbed, but when it does erupt it can cause a lot of damage.
β™  Studying β™  It's not that he's bad at it, it's simply that he doesn't like to do it. Therefore he loses his patience very quickly. His grades aren't bad, but they could be a lot better if he just tried to study a little more.
β™  skeptical β™  It's not easy to earn Rowan's trust, in fact he's skeptical of just about everyone until they prove to him that they are trust worthy. Sometimes it keeps him from being hurt, most of the time though, it just pushes away potential friendships.

{Habits}
β™ Clicking his tongue when frustrated β™
β™ Tapping his foot or fingers even while he's standing or sitting still β™
β™ Walking around his dorm in nothing but boxers β™

{Fears}
ΓΈ Heights ΓΈ He will probably never admit it out loud but Rowan is terrified of heights.
ΓΈ His sister being bullied for the rest of her life ΓΈ it's not something he can help in any way, but just the thought of her having to deal with that all her life to the point where it traumatizes really scares him.

At the age of 21, Anabel Castro met Stephen Dubois in sunny Havana, Cuba. The two were fast friends and soon enough, they were lovers. But eventually, Stephen's vacation came to an end. Still, they continued to communicate, and eventually Stephen decided he'd had enough He had to see the love of his life and tell her how he felt. o he did. The two were engaged, and got married in the very Havana where they first met. They later moved to sunny Miami, and a couple of years later, Rowan Santiago Dubois, or Santi and his other dubbed him, was born. For a while he was their only son. He was nurtured and spoiled rotten. From a young age, his father who worked as a club DJ and his mother who worked as a dance instructor, gave him a love and appreciation for music. Rowan grew up listening to music of all languages and styles and appreciating them all for what they were. In school, he was always a passive boy. He got along with everyone, never really having any reasons for confrontation. That is, until his baby sister was born.

Ana Luisa Dubois, known within the family as Luwie, was born with autism. At the time, Rowan didn't understand what that was or what it would mean for his sister, but as she grew, and he grew along with her, he began to realize nothing good would come out of this. As the babygirl grew, and began to speak, Rowan's parents also noticed something. After careful consideration, Luwie was also diagnosed with a speech impediment. he stuttered often, especially when nervous, and had a lot of trouble communicating to others what she wanted. She would often come home from school crying, refusing to go back the next day. One night it was so bad that cried for hours on end. Rowan had decided he had enough. The next day he got himself to his sister's school, swearing to drive his fist through the face of anyone who dared to even look at her the wrong way. From hen on, Rowan has remained his passive self around others, but a protective shield around his little sister. When the opportunity came for him to enter the School of Dreams, sixteen year old Rowan declined the offer. If he accepted, that meant leaving his sister behind with her bullies.

It wasn't until a year later that Luwie found out about what he'd done. Between her and his parents, Rowan was convinced to reconsider the ofeer. The school was willing to pay for everything, including classes and room and board. Rowan was still on the fence, but Luwie pleaded and eventually he accepted the offer. This will be his third year at the school of dreams. He has already made a name for himself within that time, though he hasn't for a single second stopped thinking about the 11 year old girl he left behind.

Aria groaned as her phone's alarm echoed through the room. She rolled over and reached for her phone as it rested face down on her side table. Somehow she had placed it much further away than she remembered and in her efforts to reach the darn thing, she fell from her bed. She groaned again and pushed herself up with a quiet sensored curse. She scrubbed at her face and eyes as she reached for her phone and flinched at the screen's brightness. After dismissing her alarm. She looked longingly at her bed and then back at clock on her phone. Then back at her bed. Then back at her phone and sighed. While it was their day off, the cafeteria only served breakfast until 10 and it was already just before nine. She still needed to shower, blow dry and style her hair, get dressed, wake up Theo, and then make it downstairs and all the way to the cafeteria.

All of that was bound to take an hour.

So with another wistful sigh as she glanced at her bed--hands down the most comfortable thing she had ever slept in--and shuffled her way over to her windows to draw back the velvety, light blocking curtains. She flinched as the golden light of morning streaming into the bedroom, and muttered grumpily to herself as she made her way to the bathroom. Each dorm was a suite with two bedrooms and bathrooms each, a living area and a small kitchen in between. While meals were encouraged to be shared in the cafeteria, it wasn't mandatory. A lot of the seniors chose to stay in their dorms and eat there. Made for more practice time. Aria was thankful to have her own bathroom. To have her own room, too. This school was so much more luxurious than she could ever imagine.

She climbed into the shower after pulling off her pajamas and reveled in the hot water for a moment before continuing. Hot water! It was a rarity at Lady Augustine's. It wasn't that they never had it. It was more that they didn't have a powerful enough water heater to heat enough water for everyone to take hot showers. Mostly, the caretakers got a chance. Maybe some of the older kids too, but the little ones? All cold. And often shared. Ari had always volunteered to help the little ones so her showers were hardly ever warm. Steam was pouring from the bathroom after she had finished showering and drying her hair.

Then she made her way over to the closet full of... well whatever she managed to find through the past couple years at thrift shops with whatever money she managed to make at her job. She had bought some for Theo as well. She found some things that were actually pretty cute and put them on. She stared at herself in the mirror. Only five days and she could swear she looked totally different. There was a glow about her now and her hair and face were actually clean. And all because she was here. Training to be a world famous violinist.

She smiled broadly into the mirror and made her way into Theo's room where she threw open the curtains exclaiming, "Wakey, Wakey, Eggs and Bakey!" Before leaving the room to allow him some privacy. She went over the closet by the front door and chose her metal studded boots that she had been super excited to find. Sometimes you can't find anything good at a thrift shop. And other times, you find a real gem. Then she moved back into Theo's room and said, "Come on! We're going to miss breakfast!"

Ari loved the food here. Especially breakfast. It was always warm, there were a ton of options, and there was so much of it. The night, she stuffed her face so much, she had made herself sick. Thankfully, that had been their welcome dinner, and she could vomit in peace. She was just as thankful to find out that she would be sharing a room with Theo. The two had been inseparable since the day they met and that would continue even after they left Lady Augustine's. She smiled at her best friend as he exited his room. "You look handsome. Now lets go eat!"

Once they had made their way down stairs and all the way to the cafeteria. When Ari first saw the cafeteria--a completely separate thing from the dining hall she found out--she stared with her jaw dropped. It was a re-purposed greenhouse attachment so the outside wall was all glass windows which allowed light to enter and it made all the gold and white in the room glitter. They had even kept some planter boxes by the windows and placed a few two-seated small tables as well so people could sit near the glass and eat. It was modified, however, so it wouldn't be so hot while the students were eating....Either that or they kept the ac on so high no one noticed.

She moved through the buffet line with a tray containing one plate and one bowl. After that first night, she was determined to limit herself. She filled the bowl with fruit and filled her plate with bacon, eggs, and two pieces of toast. She grabbed a fork, a napkin, and a cup of apple juice, before heading to an empty table. When Theo joined her, she bit off a piece of bacon, chewed, swallowed and said, "I feel like we haven't seen each other much since school started... how are you liking your classes? Did you sleep okay? Aren't these beds amazing!? And this food! Did you dream any? Sorry, I'm rambling, I'm just so excited to be here!" While she was making exclamations, she wasn't loud exactly. Just energetic.

Much to Archer's dismay, he was awake. At 9-o-clock... on a Saturday. He groaned, rolled over. Groaned, rolled the other way. Groaned and settled onto his back, but it was no use. He was awake. He tossed his pillow at the nearest wall, before picking up his phone and checking to see what time it really was. He was right. It was 9. He muttered obscenities to himself as he made his way into the bathroom. He was awake. It was obvious he wasn't going back to sleep. Might as well take a shower while he was at it. He took a quick one, just enough to wake him up and wash the sleep sweat from his skin.

He walked, a towel wrapped around his hips, out of his room and into the kitchen for a glass of water. After he gulped down the refreshing glass, he made his way back into his room where he stared at his clothing for a while. He wasn't one to care about his looks, but his father had taught him to always look his best. You never know what opportunities come your way when you do. He picked out a few things and changed. He went into the bathroom to style his hair now that it was a little drier. And by style, I mean he ran his fingers through it a little.

When he was satisfied, he made his way to Rowan's door where he stopped and stared at it. Archie... wasn't a big fan of waking Rowan. He was a nice guy once you get to know him, but if you judged him by his cover, he was a little scary. And for good reason. He sighed and knocked on the door to Rowan's room. "Hey, man. It's 9:30. Do you want to get some breakfast?"

ImageImageIt had been a while since Theo slept through an entire night, like he did last night. Despite how much as the boy loved his sleep, there was always something (or someone) that interrupted his sleep too early. Other times he simply had trouble falling asleep in the first place.Nights at Lady Augustine's were unpredictable. Some were silent, peaceful enough to sleep, but others were loud and rowdy. Theo had never been a grumpy person, but lack of sleep tended to make him a little less friendly in the mornings. Thankfully, ever since he and Aria left that house and set foot inside this school, there was a certain peace surrounding him. Surrounding the both of them. As if a heavy boulder had been lifted from their shoulders. Granted this would be only their second week here. There were still numerous things they had to learn, rules and traditions they had to get used to, but just the simple act of being at such a place, together nonetheless, was a breath of fresh air. Theo was beginning to eat more, sleep more, even smile a little more. Things were finally looking brighter for the two of them.

"Wakey, Wakey, Eggs and Bakey!" sunlight flooded at the room as Aria opened the curtains called out for him. A sleepy Theo lifted his head, eyes squinting at the sudden brightness. His curly locks fell in a curly mess over his eyes, which he immediately attempted to blow out of the way. He groaned quietly, resting his head back down on the soft pillow as Ari left the room. He had yet to look a a clock, but he knew for a fact that it was too early. Much to early to be waking up on a Saturday. If allowed, Theo could sleep the entire day away and have zero regrets about it. "Come on! We're going to miss breakfast!" Ari's voice filled the room yet again. Theo kept his eyes closed but he could hear her footsteps significantly louder now, which meant her shoes were on and she was ready to leave. The teen groaned again, no part of him or his body willing to get up. But he knew Aria wouldn't rest until he did. A few more seconds crawled by before Theo threw off his covers with a grunt and rolled onto his back, taking several long seconds before he managed to drag himself out of bed and into the bathroom. As he went through the morning's routine, he formulated a plan in his head. Head down to the cafeteria and eat with Aria so she's satisfied, then immediately come back up and crawl under the could of blankets. The thought alone brought a small smile to his face.

"You look handsome. Now lets go eat!" Ari'a words greeted him as soon as he left his room, being given no time to protest about any part of her statement before being pulled out of the dorm. The cafeteria, as always, was bustling with students. Even on an early Saturday morning, it was fairly packed. Theo's bright blues glanced around the place one more time, still struggling to wrap his mind around everything. It was an exaggerated change from what they were used to. He didn't expect to be bombarded with questions the moment he joined Ari at the table, which left his head spinning and scrambling for what to answer first. Instead, he chuckled quietly and swallowed his pancake bite before responding. "Calm down, Ari, you might accidentally swallow your fork." he teased, though he couldn't deny that seeing her so happy and excited was contagious. "Can you believe we're actually here?

ImageImageEvery since he was young, Rowan had always been a morning person. As long as the sun was up, he was up. He never liked sleeping the day away, always claiming he had too much to do and no time to lose. Now as a young adult, it was no different. Even on a Saturday morning, a day meant for resting and sleeping in, he was up by seven o' clock sharp. He'd gone to the bathroom, washed his face, brushed his teeth, changed into his sweats and headed out the door all within 20 minutes. When he'd left, Archie was still fast asleep and the dancer didn't bother to try and wake him. He'd taken a duffel bag with a change of clothes and shoes, plus a few other essentials, and quietly left the dorm. Most of the dance studios tended to be empty this time of day, and that's exactly what Rowan was hoping for. A bit of peace and quiet so he could practice on his own time, at his own pace.

So he practiced for over an hour, move in and move out. His clothes and hair begun to stick to his skin due to sweat, but if Rowan Dubois was anything, it was persistent. Their instructor claimed that the choreography given was one of the most demanding, intricate ones he had created in a long time. It was only the second week, and already several of the students were struggling, but Rowan refused to be one of them. He would get this routine down if it killed him. It wasn't a matter of showing off, despite being among the most well-known students in the academy, he never felt the need to show off to anyone. It was a matter of self-improvement and meeting his own expectations. There was no one that demanded more from Rowan than Rowan himself.

When nine o' clock rolled around, the dancer decided it was time to stop for the time being. His stomach was beginning to complain against his rigorous practice schedule, and something told him Archie would want some company at breakfast. He made use of the studio showers, taking advantage of the fact that no one was around, and changed into his clean clothes and sneakers. His hair fell in a damp mess over his right cheek after he ran the towel and his fingers through it a couple of times. He gathered his belongings and headed back to the dorm to exchange them for a roommate. He could hear said roomie's voice as he quietly stepped through the door and headed towards his own room. "Hey, man. It's 9:30. Do you want to get some breakfast?" Rowan lifted a brow in amusement before responding from behind him. "Who are you talking to?" he managed not to laugh at Archie's startled reaction and casually brushed past him to set the bag of dirty clothes on the floor before immediately walking back out and closing the bedroom door. "Let's go, i'm staring."

Ari chuckled a little as she munched on her bacon. "Sorry, Theo. I'm just so excited." She finished off her strip of bacon--probably one of the best things she had ever eaten here--and picked up her fork to eat her eggs. She scooped a forkful on top of a piece of her toast and took a bite. Once she swallowed, she answered Theo. "I can't. Every morning I wake up, I completely forget where I am for a moment and then once I realized how dark, quiet, and warm it is, I know I'm here." She smiled brightly. Unable to help herself. "It's so crazy, Theo. We're here! We're not at Lady Augustine's. We're here and we're living our dreams."

Ari ate another bite of her food. "So. Classes. What have you learned?" She pointed her fork at him, scrambled egg falling back onto her plate. She scooped up more and ate it while she listened.

Then she shared her week with Theo. "I am... hitting a few speed bumps. I can't read notes because I play everything by ear and math... is elusive." She stared at her plate a split second before smiling up at him. "But I'll figure it out." She took another bite of her toast. "I love Academic Writing though. And my Elementary Ear Training... OH! And I get to free play for a few hours in my instrumental studies class!" That's when she remembered there was a fruit bowl beside her and ate a bunch of strawberries and grapes.

"You know, these are so much fresher than the fruit we had at Lady Augustine's. It's crisper and tastes... so good." She popped a grape into her mouth. Then she saw a familiar face over Theo's shoulder and ducked her head. It was the boy from her algebra class. "Oh! And I need to practice in one of those practice rooms today. Miss Faver is pushing me to learn this new piece by Monday."

She noticed a familiar face at the table to their right and ducked her head. "Oh man. It's the guy from my math class." Before Theo could even react she exclaimed, "No don't look!" In a near shout. Her face flushed and she glanced up hoping he wasn't looking at them.

Archie nearly jumped two feet in the air when Rowan came up behind him. He turned quickly to face him, then turned back to the door, then back to Rowan. "Dude!" He pointed with a thumb back to his roommate's closed door. "I thought you were sleeping." He shook his head and moved out of the way while Rowan passed. "Scared the crap out of me, man." He ran his hand though his hair, shaking the surprise from his body.

Now that Rowan was there, Archie made his way into his bedroom to grab his sneakers. He pulled them and met Rowan back in the living area. "Well, let's go man. Sleeping makes me hungry." They made their way downstairs, weaving between students heading back to their dorms for the day. "So I'm thinking of making an egg burrito for breakfast." He said as they walked, "Oh and where the hell were you this morning." He shook his head with a chuckle and a grin, "Scared me. You're a friggen ninja. Must be that 'dancer's grace' I hear so much about."

When they entered the cafeteria, Archie grinned. He had been here since the middle of summer-- excited to get a head start-- and already enjoyed the cafeteria. The lighting was gorgeous and he itched to take photos of the flowers, but every time he went to eat, he would leave his camera behind so he wouldn't get it dirt or wet. They made their way to the food line and he did just as he said, he found a tortilla (put out specifically for scrambled egg burritos), some scrambled eggs, a few red peppers and sausage bits, and rolled it up. Then he grabbed a couple pancakes, two small things of butter and syrup, and a few strips of bacon and sat down at an empty table.

After he prepped the pancakes, he cut the pancakes and stabbed a few pieces before sticking them into his mouth and moaning in satisfaction. "Ugh. I know its no different than at home, but my god, it tastes so much better." Then he noticed a head of curly hair at the table near him and ducked. "Oh man, it's the kid from art history." He whispered and ran a nervous hand through his hair.

ImageImageTheo knew all too well how Aria, felt. He was still in disbelief himself. Half of him still expected to wake up and find himself back at lady Augustine's, like all this was just one impossible, long dream. But every morning he woke up in his new room, in a comfortable bed under warm blankets, made him less skeptical. Bit by bit. It would take some time, but he was slowly getting there. "So. Classes. What have you learned?" Theo took a moment to recollect the past week. Everything had happened so quickly, he was still feeling the dizzying side effects. "Hmm, I don't have any problems with any classes...yet." he said, giving each of his classes a look over. Algebra was truly the only class he could see himself struggling in down the road, but at the moment everything seemed to make good sense. "I can say I never thought so many different colored paints and kinds of paint brushes could exist." he noted, remembering the first time he stepped into one of the bigger art classrooms. At this point, it was still a bit surreal, but not as shocking.

He listened with a soft smile on his face as Aria spoke about her week. He laughed at her comment on the subject of math as he finished his pancake. Her sentence came to an end and Theo opened his mouth to speak, but was cut off with a small gasp and a duck of the head. "Oh man. It's the guy from my math class." Theo lifted a curious eyebrow, but wasn't given any time to respond. "No don't look!". He watched as the blood quickly rose to her face and gently bit down on his lower lip to keep from laughing. He was instructed not to look, but curiosity got the best of him. He glanced, ever so slightly, out of the corner of his eyes following Ari's line of vision. He looked just long enough to deduct that the guy Aria was talking about was the same guy that had nearly scared him senseless a few days prior. In his defense, the guy hadn't done anything aside from walking past him and looking in his direction for about half a second. However, his appearance was enough to make Theo want to run in the opposite direction.

"The scary looking guy?" he asked quietly, his gaze turning back to Aria. At first he wondered if Ari, too, was scared of the stranger. However, the fact that her cheeks flushed red at the sight of him told a different story. "Do you...like him?" he teased quietly, a subtle smile gracing his lips. It was far-fetched, considering the guy didn't look anything like what Theo would have imagined Aria's first crush at this school to look like. He casually glanced in the table's direction again, hoping to get one more look at the subject of conversation, but his gaze landed on a different yet even more familiar face. Theo immediately recognized him from his Art History class. He didn't mean to stare, but he did so long enough for their eyes to meet. Something strange twisted in the teen's stomach, and looked away in a panic the moment a couple of girls came to talk to the scary guy sitting across the table.

ImageImageRowan followed Archie out of the dorm room and towards the cafeteria. He normally didn't have the habit of skipping breakfast, nor did he usually go to the cafeteria to eat. This morning however, for whatever unknown reasons, he hadn't eaten any breakfast and now his stomach was scolding him for it. He listened to Archie's breakfast plans, contemplating what he would have himself. He wasn't one to eat healthy per say, but junk food was usually not up his alley either. As a dancer, his main priority was his body and staying light on his feet. "Oh and where the hell were you this morning. Scared me. You're a friggen ninja. Must be that 'dancer's grace' I hear so much about." Archie's words brought him out of his food daydream as they entered the cafeteria. "I purposely left early just so I could go back and scare the shit out of you." he joked as he picked up an empty plate. This wasn't Rowan and Archie's first year being roommates, which certainly explained why they got along the way they did. It also meant that by now Archie knew when Rowan was joking and when he wasn't. "I was practicing while you were bumming around and sleeping." he added.

They separated for a few minutes as each of them parted to get their own food. Along the way, Rowan was greeted by several people he hadn't seen over the summer break. He wasn't one for being rude, so he at least made an effort to say hello, which meant that it took him much longer than it should have to reach the table. He sat down just in time to hear Archie's comment about the pancakes and gave him a subtle eye roll. "Drama queen." he muttered with a subtle smile before taking a bite of his own food. He had to admit, though, that the guy was right. The chefs at the school must have used magic to cook the food, because it somehow tasted even better each and every time he had it. Granted, it would never be as delicious as his mom's Cuban cuisine, but it would do.

"Oh man, it's the kid from art history." the whisper caught Rowan off guard a little bit. He glanced at Archie's nervous gesture for a moment before glancing in the direction he had looked. He noticed a small boy with curly, brown hair sitting a few tables away, and a girl who looked remotely familiar. if he remembered correctly, she was in his Algebra class. Though Rowan didn't have to ask to know Archie was talking about the boy. "What about him?" the dancer asked casually, not even bothering to lower his voice. However, Archie didn't have a chance to respond. "Santi, hey!" two familiar faces walked up to their table, blocking the view almost completely.

Ari's face flushed deeper when Theo had asked if she liked him. She didn't really have an answer for him. Theo was right, he was pretty scary. But there was something about him that was... not. Ari couldn't put her finger on it. A lot of people seemed to like him. Just as Ari was thinking it, two people walked up and greeted him. Called him 'Santi'. Ari tilted her head and glanced at him. It suited him. "No, well I mean it's not that I don't like him." She chuckled nervously and sipped a little at her apple juice before sticking a lock of hair in her mouth. "He just.. caught my attention. That's all." Once she realized what she was doing, she spat out her hair and tried to smooth it down.

After she finished her food and let out a small burp and giggled as she covered her mouth with a hand looking just a little embarrassed. "Scuse me." She lifted her arms up over her head in a satisfying stretch before rising. "So I can walk you back to the dorm room, but after I grab my violin, I'm going to practice for a few hours. What do you want to do lunch?" She dumped her garbage in the tray and then placed the tray and plate where they belonged. "What are you going to do while I'm gone? I think it's a beautiful day out if you wanted to go sketch."

As they walked at a more leisurely pace, she would randomly twirl. The school was beautiful. Inside and out. She heard it used to be an old opera house that they turned into a school. The theater was old, but it had been updated beautifully so it was safer and also more up to date on the tech. Ari couldn't keep the grin off her face. "If you want I can play for you later. It's been so long. Maybe I can pose..." She struck a silly pose before she continued, "for you, too." She had intended it to make him laugh. He looked a little panicked before they left the cafeteria so she wanted to cheer him up in her usual way. Being an absolute goof ball.

Archie swore quietly when Rowan turned and looked at the table just as the two at the table looked at them. With the boy from his art history class was a ginger headed girl who was looking not at him, but at Rowan. He looked back and forth between the two when is eyes landed on those of the boy. He was staring right at him. Something shot through his very core and he looked down, his attention on his pancakes. That's when Rowan's friends came around and got between the two tables.

Thank god, he thought as he finished off his pancakes. Thankfully, the two at the table seemed to be leaving while Rowan was still talking with his friends which meant he could finish his pancakes without feeling like he was being watched. And, if he was being honest with himself, probably watching them himself. There was just something about the boy that he found... attractive. Well, he was attractive to Archie, but there was something more... enticing about him. Like a puppy dog. He did have big brown eyes.

Once Rowan's friends finally left, he replied to his earlier question. "There's nothing about him. Why are we even talking about him? Eat your breakfast," he said a tad grumpily, but it didn't do anything to mask the blush that was crawling up his neck at the thought of explaining to Rowan that he thought the boy was attractive and had thought so since the day he walked into art history and saw the boy. He took another bite of pancake and apologized, "Sorry, Ro. Guess I should've had wheaties instead of an egg burrito" which he hadn't yet touched, "So what are you plans for the day? Wanna chill and watch a movie or play video games... or whatever...?"

ImageImageAria claimed not to like the guy, and half of Theo's mind was inclined to believe it. The other half was skeptical and found the way she said this and the actions that went with it more than a tad bit suspicious. Still, he didn't comment on it again, as she made a point to finish breakfast and leave. On their way out, Theo's eyes casually drifted in the nearby table's direction again. He told himself it was in order to get a better look at Ari's interest, but his gaze ended up on the brunette sitting across from him, his face buried in his food now. His stomach twisted uncomfortable as he followed Aria out of the bustling cafeteria.

At this point in time, Theo knew. He wasn't dumb, nor was he in denial. He knew that he had felt a spark of attraction towards the guy. He knew he was attracted to guys in general, something he had figured out a while ago while they still resided at Lady Augustine's. But Aria didn't, not yet and not as long as he could help it. The thought of her rejecting him because of this made his chest compress and the back of his eyes start to burn. She was all she had in terms of family and he wasn't willing to lose her. Even if it meant hiding a part of himself as big as this one.

His best friend's voice brought him out of his thought process and he watched her twirl, delighted by their surroundings. It was no secret that Aria was born to be at a school like this. As for Theo himself, well he still wasn't very sure about that. Still the sight of her happy made him smile effortlessly. "Maybe I can pose...for you, too." He chuckled at her stance and flashed her a thumb. "Maybe I'll take you up on that offer soon. I'll- oh crap!" his feet came to a sudden stop, his eyes large rounded blues, looked in Aria's direction as a thought came to mind. "My sketchpad is still in the art studio." he explained as he realized he would soon need it to work on his first art project assignment. And perhaps it wouldn't have been such a big deal, had it not been for the fact that the art studios were in a completely separate building across campus. "We can meet at the cafeteria entrance for lunch." he suggested, remembering Ari had asked about lunch earlier. And with that he was off, hoping to get his sketchpad quickly so he could still have some time to sleep.

Luckily the building, as well as the studio, was easy to find. The traditional arts room and spaces typically stoof out to him among the rest. And his sketchpad was resting right where he had left it. He quickly chuckled to himself, knowing that if this had been at Lady Augustine's, it would have been snatched from the moment he turned his back. Sketchpad in hand, he headed back outside. It was a beautiful day out, like Ari said. There was just the right amount of wind, a nice temperature and mild sunshine. Everything was right, except for the fact that Theo hadn't a single clue how to get back to his dorm. He'd done it several times already, but with Ari at his side. And as confident as he had been that he could make it back on his own, he had to admit now that he was utterly lost.

ImageImageRowan was more than aware of the signs that came with Archie being attracted to someone. It happened every time, which begged the question of why the photographer even attempted to hide these things from him anymore. He had to know that to Rowan, he was practically see-through. "Don't tell me what to do." he huffed in response to Archie's instructions to "just eat" his food, though he took a spoonful of his scrambled eggs and bacon a moment after. He watched as the duo from the other table got to their feet and headed out of the cafeteria, though the fact that the blue-eyed boy glanced in their direction didn't go unnoticed. "He's looking at you, ya know?" he added, casually biting on his slice of toast. In all honesty, the dancer didn't watch long enough to be able to tell who the boy was looking at, however he also never missed an opportunity to get Archie as riled as possible.

"Sorry man" he finally said as he got to his feet, tossing a small pile of napkins onto his empty tray. "I've got a lot of practicing to do." he already knew what Archie would says. Something along the lines of "but it's a Saturday" or "you don't even need to practice!" but before he actually could say it, Rowan spoke again. "why don't you go chat with your new boy toy?" and before Archie couldn't respond to that, Rowan was already on his way out.

Within ten minutes, he was already at the dance studio. It was still empty, for now, which meant that he had chosen the perfect time to practice. But as much as he wanted to take advantage of the alone time, there was something he needed to do first. He sat his belongings down on one of the empty benches and slipped his phone out of his pocket. It was around ten thirty now, which meant that his family, more specifically his sister, had to be awake. After finding his mother's contact, he pressed the small camera in the corner and waited. Within seconds, his mother's face popped up on his phone screen and her soothing voice came flooding through the earbuds. "Hola, mijito, como estas?!" Rowan's lips curled into a relaxed smile as he sat beside his belongings on the wooden bench. "Hey ma, I'm still doing fine." he assured her before getting to the main reason he had called specifically on a Saturday morning. "How are you guys? And Luwie?" his mother chuckled softly, already having been on her way to find the ten-year-old. "She's right here listening." she replied before turning the phone's camera. A small framed, dark blonde haired girl with large hazel eyes came into view and Rowan's smile widened almost immediately. It hadn't been that long since he last spoke to his sister, but to him it felt like an eternity.

ImageImageTheo had never been one for getting lost, at least not easily. This was only his second week here and he already knew a good portion of the campus and it's main buildings. However, at this very moment, he was utterly lost. He backtracked the steps he had taken on his way out of the art classroom and realized he must have taken a different route than the one he was already accustomed to. Normally, when he exited the art building, the dorm building where he and Ari were living now could be seen in the distance. This time, however, nothing of what surrounded him looked even remotely familiar. Did I come out the opposite end of the building? he thought to himself as his large blue orbs dashed around in hopes of finding something, or even someone, that could guide him in the right direction. He'd been so lost in thought that he nearly jumped ten feet in the air when the sudden voice came from beside him.

"Hey, man!"Theo blinked, his lips poised into a small 'o' shape, scrambling to find a response to the familiar face in front of him. Not that he was given the chance to. The boy continued to speak, going from introducing himself as Archie, to mentioning a friend by the name Rowan, to asking if Theo needed help, then proceeding to saying Theo could help himself, in the end only to ask how he could be of help. There was a beat of silence as Theo's rounded eyes stared at the guy, his head spinning slightly as he attempted to piece together all the amount of information he had just been given to figure out what to respond to first. Once he realized Archie had said so much in such a small amount of time, the small artist couldn't help but let out a small chuckle. Partially because it reminded him so much of Aria, and partially because he found it very endearing. Perhaps even cute, not that he was going to acknowledge that.

"Nice to meet you, Archie." he finally spoke, after taking a quick breath. "I'm Theo." he added, opting to leave out his full name. The only times anyone called him Theodore were in class by his new teachers, or back at Lady Augustine's anytime he did something "wrong". He shifted the sketchpad in his hands and let a shy smile shape his lips as he realized he now had to explain why he was standing in the middle of a courtyard looking like a deer in the headlights. "I uhh...I'm a little lost." he paused, thinking his next words through so as to not sound like a complete fool. "What's the fastest way to get to dorm building F?"

ImageImageRowan ended up speaking to his sister longer than intended. Once he hung up, he realized he only had about an hour before the studio he was in needed to be used. The dancer sighed, tossing his phone into his duffel bag and pulling out his clean pair of sweatpants and black t-shirt, as well as dance flats. It wasn't unusual to find these things inside Rowan's bag. He made sure to be prepared at all times, in case he was graced with some extra time to practice. That way he never had to waste time going back to the dorms only to grab a change of clothes. He once attempted to dance in the jeans and sneakers he'd been wearing, but it made movements much more difficult than they should have been.

Once changed, he dropped his old clothes into the bag and pulled out his phone yet again. This time he walked over to the sound system. After syncing his cell phone to the device via bluetooth, he searched for the song he had been working on choreography for that same morning. Students in advanced dance classes were always required to prepare a piece to showcase for the rest of the class by the 3rd week of the school year. Almost like an entrance exam of sorts. The evaluation included not only how well the student could dance, but also their choice of music and how their original choreography fit the piece. There was only one week left, and though Rowan was nearly finished with his piece, he wanted to make sure he had every move down to the very tiniest detail.

Once the melody came through the speakers, he stepped away from them and towards the center of the dance floor. His limbs slowly began to move, repeating the same moves time and time again. Sometimes changing a step here and there to better fit the rhythm. Perhaps Rowan never came off as the most friendly person, nor was he one to outwardly express his feelings. Not even to those closest to him. But once he began to dance, it's as if he transformed into another person. Something only a select few had ever been able to witness.

As Aria pulled the bow from the strings of her violin, and the room silenced around her, she was brought back to reality. She tended to get lost in the music when she was playing on her own. Sometimes, songs would get...remixed. She's change them up a bit to fit the rhythm in her head. Now that she was pulled from the music, she found she couldn't quite focus anymore. However, she still had the room for another ten minutes so she started messing around a little. She played remixes to songs she had heard on the radio, intros to songs, and well known themes for movies.

She even added a little Green Day and Evanescence.

There was a buzz that sounded through the room that told her the time was up. She could technically stay longer, but only if another student didn't need the room, but Ari had felt she had practiced enough, and it was time to meet up with Theo for lunch. She packed her violin into the case, looked around the room once to be sure she wasn't missing anything, and then she left. She hummed a little under her breath as she walked and once she made it outside, she unintentionally walked a little slower. It was such a nice day outside. If she was back at Lady Augustine's she would probably be climbing a tree pretending to evade pirates while she read a book from the home's "library". Eighteen years old and she still acted like a child. And wouldn't have it any other way. Honestly, she felt bad for those who never had a childhood. Those who were practically adults their whole lives. What fun was being a child if you didn't fight aliens, or discover buried treasure, or even performed onstage.

Okay, that last one Aria never did. Believe it or not, Ari was terrified of performing in front of large groups of people. The home was different from a stage. She knew everyone watching and they all loved her music. They all loved her. An audience... could judge. They could boo her. They could throw stuff at her like they did back in the time of Shakespeare. The thought made her stomach clench with nerves. So instead, she focused on her memories. She would have to reminisce with Theo about them later.

As she was passing the dance studio, movement in one of the outfacing rooms caught her eye. While a lot of the school buildings had big windows allowing plenty of sunlight, the practice rooms did not. Not even the dance studios. It was thought it was to prevent from people stealing techniques from others. Even the theater practice rooms were like that. Aria looked around to see if anyone was watching. When she realized she was alone, she made her way to the door, the only part of the room with a window, and peeked inside. What she saw made her catch her breath.

It was the boy--well man, really--from her math class and from the cafeteria before. Her face heated slightly as she watched him move about the room. His hair hung in his face and his body dripped with sweat, but he never made it look... difficult. In fact, he made it look easy. Like anyone could do it. There was so much grace and lightness in his movements. Aria couldn't believe she was watching the same person. The guy was... scary with his stern looks and his body covered in tattoos, but...here? He wasn't scary at all. In fact... he was almost beautiful.

It was only when their eyes met that she realized she had been staring the entire time and now, was caught in the act.

Archer's heart thudded in his chest as he watched the boy's still confused face as he processed his words. It was blatantly obvious that he had overwhelmed the boy. Guilt rose up in him, but he pushed it down at the sound of the boy's chuckle. If Archie had been thinking, he might've snapped a photo. Laughter--true laughter-- was one of the purest forms of a person's being. Laughter isn't always something you can control and when it's true, unbridled laughter, you can see the joy in the person. It made the boy's eyes light up just a little bit. "Nice to meet you, Archie" he said and then introduced himself as Theo.

"Theo, huh?" He looked up boy up and down quickly, once. Then he smiled. "Fitting. You look like a Theo." He realized how stupid he sounded and held up his camera, clearing his throat. "Well... I mean I'm a photographer. I specialize in reading people. It helps to take excellent photos. If you think a person looks uncomfortable, they probably are and it'll read on camera. So it's a good thing that you being named Theo when you look like a Theo is good." Archie cringed inwardly. Open mouth, Archie. Insert foot. Shut. Up. He thought.

Then he realized that Theo was looking for building F. "Oh! Building F! Dorm building F!" He babbled a little and bit his cheek a little to get himself to stop. There was just something about this boy that flustered Archie. It made him want to impress him even when he didn't really know him. Didn't exactly know how to do just that. It really ended up with him looking like an idiot. "You're on the wrong side of the school. That's probably why you feel lost. Building F is on the other side..." He looked towards the building's tip, the only visible thing from this angle, and his eyes went down, locating the sidewalk that would lead right to it. "I could um... show you a short cut if you'd like?"

In case the boy was going to protest he raised his hands in mock surrender and said, "And look... I know I'm weird. I'm sorry. I just get so flustered with new people I don't know how to shut up. Like now, but I promise... I'm weird, but I don't bite. Much. No wait ignore that! I don't bite! Ever! and Definitely not when I'm dating someone! Which I'm not, but that's so not the point! Look a sidewalk shortcut between buildings! Have a nice day!" Archie pointed to the sidewalk and then started to walk in the opposite direction. Then he turned ninety degrees and hid behind a tree waiting for the feeling of absolute mortification to pass.

Part of him hoped the boy would go and just forget he ever saw Archie here. But another part of him would hope the boy would come over and tell him he wasn't as much of a freak as he always felt he way. Ro always put up with his weirdness. To be honest, it probably entertains him a great deal. But this boy? He didn't even known Archie. Maybe he freaked him out. Just in case, he peaked around the tree to see where the boy was.

ImageImageWhen Theo first saw Archie in his history class, he wasn't sure what he was expecting. But it certainly wasn't this. Archie was much more talkative than expected. If Theo were being honest, he'd have to say just the sight of him made his heart thump. But now, hearing him talk this way, it eased his nerves dramatically. He'd also wondered what kind of art the boy did, but thankfully didn't even have to ask. And somehow, photography seemed to fit him perfectly. The entire time Archie spoke, Theo couldn't hold back the amused smile, regardless of how much he tried. He'd been so caught up in the run-on sentences that he almost missed the answer to his initial question.

"You're on the wrong side of the school. That's probably why you feel lost. Building F is on the other side..." Theo nodding immediately, realizing what he'd thought first was correct. He'd definitely come out the wrong side of the building. Archie offered to show him a shortcut, and as much as Theo didn't ant to bother him, he also didn't want to end up lost again. He opened his mouth to accept, but once again was cut off. This was a habit of his, it seemed. And just as quickly as he began talking, he stopped and turned to walk away, leaving Theo in yet another confused daze. You'd think with Aria around, he would have grown used to these kinds of things by now by the fact that it was coming from someone else. A stranger. A cute stranger that he'd once thought was intimidating, threw him for a loop.

Once again, Theo stood in silence, blinking away the sunlight as he processed everything. Did this mean Archie wasn't going to show him the short cut? He was tempted to just walk in the direction Archie had pointed, but something pulled at him to turn around. Just as he did, he saw the boy's head come into view from behind a tree. Their eyes met, and for a moment Theo forgot why he was standing alone in the middle of a courtyard. It took him a second, but he let out a small chuckle at the sight of a head peeking at him from behind a large tree. "I don't bite either, you know..." he said first before glancing back at the sidewalk, and then back at Archie as he pointed at it with his thumb. "So...this way?" a small, or rather large, part of him hoped Archie could walk him at least halfway but as per usual, Theo's shy nature got the best of him and he just could not bring himself to ask.

ImageImageThis always happened when Rowan began to dance on his own. He always ended up swallowed by the music, the swift movement of limbs, the sounds of his shoes against the studio floor. When Rowan danced, it was as if the world around him froze, like nothing else existed or mattered except the current song and the way his body responded to it. He easily lost track of time. Minutes seconds turned into minutes, which turned into hours. The song came to an end for possibly the twentieth time, and looped back around just the same.Unlike the other times, however, Rowan didn't begin the dance routine over again. His body came to a stop, his chest compressing and expanding as his eyes remained on the ground.

Finally, his sense began to normalize as he took in his surroundings, realizing he had spend more time in this studio than he originally intended. Not that this was a rare occurrence. He almost, almost, opted to run through the routine once more through. But a gnawing feeling in the back of his head stopped him. Someone was watching him, and who knows for how long now. He slowly turned around, almost immediately spotting the perpetrator. She was silent, eyes wide and staring at him as if she'd seen a ghost. Their eyes met for a brief second, a second during which Rowan almost couldn't find any words to break the silence. But eventually, he was the one to speak first. "I'm sorry-" his voice was low and decked with small huffs here and there. "I didn't mean to take so long." as he spoke, the girl's features caught up to him. This was definitely the same girl from that morning in the cafeteria. Somehow, Rowan hadn't pegged her as a dancer. "Studio's all yours." he finalized his statement as he moved towards the plastic bench to gather his belongings. Part of him wondered why she hadn't spoken up the entire time she was there, but he opted not to ask.

He grabbed a small towel, drying away sweat from his face and forehead, as he picked up his phone and hit the pause button on the song. It was suddenly so silent, the only sounds being those of Rowan gathering his things and placing them into his bag. He didn't look back at the girl, an odd feeling stirring in his stomach.

Aria stood still for probably longer than necessary. Not only had she been caught watching him, but she had been caught by him. Her face was red as he moved towards her and opened the door. He was talking to her, but she was so embarrassed it took her a while to realize what he had said. He didn't seem angry with her for watching as she suspected. Instead, he was apologetic. He thought that she was there to use the dance studio. She glanced down at her violin while his back was turned and raised an eyebrow.

What about her said she needed to use the dance studio?

She realized he had left the door open for her as he reentered the room to turn off the music and pack his things. That was something that didn't need to happen unless he actually needed to leave. She rushed forward, her mouth open to speak but no words came out. She just ended up watching him longer and mentally berated herself for it. Stop staring like a crazy person and just talk to him! She thought to herself. He's just a guy! What's the worse that could happen?" Of course, that sent her mind spinning down dark paths so she shook her head and finally managed to force the words from her throat.

"Oh! No! I'm not here for the room! I'm not a dance...student." Her words trailed off as his attention returned to her for a moment. She blushed again and looked down at her violin case. "I'm a classical music student. Um.. that is... I play the violin." Her words started to trail off again and she pushed forward. "I was just curious when I saw you dancing." She said a little louder now. "You... dance so beautifully I couldn't stop watching." She winced outwardly at her words and how ridiculous they sounded to her own ears. She couldn't imagine what they sounded like to him. "So. I'm sorry! I'll go! You can continue with the room if you need to..." She said as she turned to leave.

Archer's heart beat forcefully from behind his ribs as the boy walked towards him. He was actually surprised to see him coming towards him. He was used to scaring most people off. Either that or they call him a freak and walk off on their own, but Theo? He was walking back towards him, a smile on his face. And not a mocking one at that.

After his comment on not biting either, Archer's face flushed a deep red as he recalled his own statement. He forced down the rising comment that if they boy did bite he wouldn't mind and stood. "Sorry about... all that." He said, using his hand to motion back to where they had been standing only minutes before hand. "I get... flustered around new people." He hung the camera around his neck and started to walk towards the short cut. "But yeah. It's this way."

Once he made it to the side walk, he stopped and waited for Theo for however long it took and then continued, walking beside him. "So... you're in my art history class right? What are you in for?" He asked jokingly as if the school were a prison and not a godsend to most people. "Obviously you know what I'm here for." He said as he lifted his camera up a little. "Other than this mishap. How are you liking it here so far?" He was attempting to make idle chit chat, but it took a lot of self control to keep from asking him more personal things outright. It was strange for him to feel so... pressured to have someone like him. The need to impress and make sure the boy wasn't frightened by him or anything. It also took a lot to keep him from asking if the boy was single because that was so not the conversation he needed to have with a near stranger. Even if he was cute.

ImageImageArchie immediately apologized, though Theo didn't see why he would need to. He thought he'd made it more than obvious that he found the whole thing...cute. Or perhaps not? Ari had always told him he was very good at hiding his emotions, and maybe Archie apologizing meant that he thought Theo found him ridiculous. Which he didn't. Not at all. The thought brought a slight blush to his cheeks, so he kept his head down as followed in the direction Archie had gone, hoping to make it back to the dorm as soon as possible. He'd spent to much time first getting to the art room, and then getting lost, and now speaking with Archie, that his plan to sleep and then met Aria for lunch would have to be revised. He barely had enough time to make it back to their dorm to drop off his things and then immediately head down to the cafeteria.

"So... you're in my art history class right? What are you in for?" Archie's words brought Theo's attention back to him. As the guy spoke, Theo couldn't help but notice his features. He had slightly sharper face lines than Theo himself making him look at little older. Or perhaps he was older. Theo was only 17, and of course it didn't help that he had the features of a 13 year old boy, at least that's how he viewed it. Archie was also taller. Not by much, but tall enough that Theo had to lift his chin slightly to look at him. As an artist that often sketched everything around him, it had become a habit to examine people. Sometimes he stared at them without ever realizing he'd been doing so. And Archie was no exception. He barely registered the guy's movement of his camera, but immediately connected it to the question he had asked as he looked down at the sketchpad in his hands.

"I do traditional art." he said, lifting his pad and holding it against his chest. "Not as interesting as photography but...it's what I'm good at." he added. Art was the only thing Theo allowed himself to feel confident about. He may not have liked his own looks, nor his voice, his dancing was awful and he struggled immensely to learn how to play instruments. But Art was his and it was something he could actually be proud of. "They've got everything here...it almost doesn't feel real." he said as an afterthought, only to gently bite his lower lip. It probably sounded lame, or even cheesy, but Theo had yet to come to terms with the fact that he was here, with everything he needed to live his dream right at the tip of his fingers.He could feel his insides starting to panic, so he decided to speak again before Archie could say anything else. "H-ho long have you been here?" He inwardly cursed at himself for stuttering, but this was the norm. He may have been at a new place with new, clothes, new belongings and new people, but he was still the same shy little pup raised back at Lady Augustine's. He didn't see that changing anytime soon.

ImageImageRowan's focus was on gathering his belongings, only glancing at his phone once to see if there were any missed calls or messages. He didn't hear the girl follow him in, nor did he even realize he had left the door open. "Oh! No! I'm not here for the room! I'm not a dance...student." her voice immediately caught his attention, most because it echoed throughout the now quiet dance studio. After placing the last of his things in a bag, he turned to face her yet again.

Only now did he realize she was so small, fragile looking even. Of course anyone could be compared to him, but there was almost an entire foot in terms of height difference. She was fair skinned, where his had been naturally sun-kissed. She had large, curious eyes, where his were sharp and intimidating. They couldn't have been more opposites, and yet...she talked to him with such ease. She complimented his dancing, something that he'd heard very often, but one word in particular caught his attention. Beautiful? Not exactly a word often used to describe Rowan even when he danced.

"It's fine, I'm already done here anyway" he said before she could begin to walk away. "Thanks by the way..." he added and waited a few seconds for her to turn around. "For the compliment, I mean." though his features remained cold and aloof, he meant every word. Rowan's features often don't, or rather never, reveal what he's actually feeling. This often leads people to believe he's cold and uninterested, and though it would only take a few more minutes of speaking to him to realize that's not the case, not everyone sticks around long enough. He pushed his bangs out of his eyes with one hand and eyed the violin in the girl's hands before looking back up at her. "It's really nice." he gestured towards to instrument to let her know he was no longer talking about her compliments, though those were nice as well.

As Aria walked away, heading towards the door, she heard him say that he was finished with the room anyway and her heart sank just a little. She couldn't help but feel like it was her fault. However, as he continued to pack up his things, it seemed there was no going back. She stopped and turned towards him as he thanked her for the compliment. She smiled shyly at him and muttered, "No problem. It's the truth." She swung her case around awkwardly, nearly hitting herself in the knee--front and back at different times.

Now that she was facing him and he had been kind to her, she found it difficult to leave. Then he gave her a compliment in return. A compliment for her violin. Her face brightened a bit as she lifted the case and hugged it close to her chest. "Oh, thank you!" She rubbed her hand against the fiberglass case. "It's... playing is all I've ever wanted to do. That and be a teacher, but you didn't ask me that." She snorted a little between sentences as a chuckle bubbled up from her chest at the awkwardness that was herself.

Then she had an idea. A crazy stupid idea that he would probably laugh at but she'd hate herself if she never gave it a shot... "Hey, um... if you're up for it... I could play for you." She had a lot of dance music in her repertoire. She wondered... would he dance while she played? She sometimes danced as she played. She wasn't that bad at it either, but it was nothing fancy. It's hard to move that much when you have a violin and a bow in your hands. "Well I mean... if you have the time. Since you're here... and you like it."

Archer smiled as he found easy conversation with the boy. "Traditional art, huh?" He replied, shaking his head. "Man I wish I could draw." He thought back to all the times he had attempted it. He had even tried following drawing books and videos, but to no avail. They all looked like a drunk person drew them. He would've thought an elementary school kid had done them, but they honestly probably drew better. "Everything I draw looks like scribbles. Even the things composed of straight lines!" Then he thought a moment, remembering freshman year of high school when he was placed in geometry and learned to play with graph paper. "Honestly, the only thing I think I can do are like... 8 bit drawings on graph paper. And even then it's hard to tell what it is." He laughed a little at himself.

"But seriously, man. That's awesome. Maybe... I could pose for you sometime. Although, now that I think about it, it might not be a good idea. I'm terrible at sitting still. Hey, if you're in need of practice though, maybe I could take a self portrait and you could draw that. Or I could take one of you and you could draw a self portrait. I'm sure a portfolio could use one. But I'm only a photographer... I don't know what traditional artists need." He coughed a little. "Anyway, you're right. There is a lot here. I think the staff and the directors wanted to be sure everything was covered and we were given all the tools we needed. They didn't even have a photography class back in the day since it was a new and not widely used concept. They still have a dark room for people who do traditional photography." He thought it was awesome that the school had a dark room in which he could develop his photos. Unfortunately, his photos were pretty much completely digital these days. Digital or instant. He liked the idea of capturing a moment and admiring it right away. He saved that camera for special projects and occasions though.

He chuckled a little at the boy's stammering. Not in a mocking way. It was more of a don't-worry-about-it-it-happens-just-look-at-me" kind of chuckle. At least... that's what he wanted to convey. "I've been here a few months. I came before classes even started because I wanted to take part in their summer workshops. Plus, some of the best dorms open up over the summer so I wanted to grab a good one." At this point they had made it around the sidewalk and came out just in front of building F. "Here we are! The humble abode. I'm actually over in building D. Floor 3 room 3-313 with Rowan. So if you ever need anything, you know where to find me."

He shuffled his feet a little. "Hey so... want me to walk you... home?" He thought a moment. "Or that's... probably too weird. What about lunch? We could meet for lunch if you want. Then you'd be able to meet my roommate. He looks scary but honestly, he's a big puppy dog. Well.. okay maybe not that sweet but you get the idea."

ImageImageTheo kept his pace right beside Archie, his eyes always looking straight ahead. Something about looking strangers in the eye made him feel so...small and his nerves began to fluctuate. More so when it was someone like Archie who not only knew his way around this place confidently, but also appeared to be quite the social butterfly if his constant talking was any indication, and more than anything else...very good looking. Certainly much more than what Theo could say about himself. He felt like a five year old compared to this guy. Come to think of it, from the moment he and Aria set foot in this place, Theo felt as if he had been born again, and not it the best way. He was seeing, hearing, tasting, learning to do certain things for the very first time, as if he were a baby again.

"Anyway, you're right. There is a lot here. I think the staff and the directors wanted to be sure everything was covered and we were given all the tools we needed. They didn't even have a photography class back in the day since it was a new and not widely used concept. They still have a dark room for people who do traditional photography." Theo listened attentively. It wasn't very often he got to hear about another person's interests, only when Aria talked about her music and her violin. Of course Theo never minded listening to her, but hearing something new was almost exciting. He hadn't missed Archie's invitation to pose for him, but at a loss for what to say, he simply responded with a quiet smile and allowed him to keep talking. This time however, the words came out on their own as Archie finished his sentence. "I'd love to try photography sometime..." he said it more as an afterthought, or a mental note to himself, and he wasn't certain if Archie even heard him or not before announcing they had made it tot he dorms.

And then Archie offered to walk him...home? Theo assumed he meant to his dorm room. That was his home now, which despite it being a dorm room at a school, felt more like an actual home than any other place he'd ever been at. The artist remained silent for a short beat, mostly due to the fact that he wasn't sure how to respond. Part of him wanted to accept, but what would he do after that. He was already having problems functioning as it was. Thankfully, Archie spoke before he could potentially dig his own grave. The word 'lunch' made the boy's eyes widen slightly. It was probably almost time for lunch! He didn't even have any way of telling time on him, but he had promised to meet Aria a few minutes prior to lunch time and he wasn't one to break promises. Even if that implied rejecting Archie's offer. "I uh-" he thought for a moment, mentally reviewing what Archie had just told him and almost instantly putting the pieces together. Could this friend, Rowan? Possibly be the guy Aria had been trying to hide from that same morning? "Sure!" he responded after a bit more thought. "But...is it alright if my sister joins? I told her this morning I would meet her for lunch so..." Theo bit his lower lip, hoping Archie would give him the okay. If not, he would have to take a rain check.

ImageImageRowan hadn't expected the small girl's eyes to light up the way they did when she received the compliment. He traced her hand over the case, and smiled as if he had just complimented her on her hair, clothes, eyes, whatever else the girls he tended to date always loved to be complimented about. It was odd yet...refreshing? Maybe that wasn't the word for it, but it's the only way Rowan knew how to describe it for the moment. "It's... playing is all I've ever wanted to do. That and be a teacher, but you didn't ask me that." The dancer raised a brow at the way she giggled to herself, but couldn't help but agree. Rowan had loved music ever since he could remember, and though it wasn't technically the same as playing an instrument, dancing was all he ever wanted to do. It's he ever did do and never grew tired or bored with it.

Ready to bid her goodbye, and not expecting the conversation to go anywhere else, the dancer flung the bag over his shoulder and looked back at her just in time to hear her offer. She wanted to play for him? What for? It didn't make much sense to want to play for a stranger, a person she had just met not even five minutes ago. Then again, he reasoned that if it were him, he'd take any and all opportunity he could get to dance for others. Even strangers. Most of the time, they gave the best feedback. After a moment's pause, he gently set his bag on the bench where it had been and turned to her with a small shrug. "I don't mind." he took a couple of steps back, sitting against the armrest of the bench to take a more comfortable stance. "I'm in no hurry." he let a half smile form on his face in attempts of appearing less...intimidating. Rowan had never been good at showing emotions with his face, but he'd been working on it. Being around Archie help quite a bit, but his resting bitch face always found its way back.

Aria smiled a little shyly at his surprised response, ducking her head slightly. As he settled down on the arm of the nearby bench, she crouched down, placing her violin case on the floor and gently removing her violin. The way she did it was smooth and slow as if the violin was incredibly fragile. As if it was made from glass and not an incredibly stable wood. She took a deep breath and stood, attempting to clear her mind enough to focus on the task at hand. She honestly couldn't remember why she had offered to play for him in the first place. It wasn't that she had a problem with playing in front of strangers. On the contrary, she enjoyed it as long as it wasn't in front of a large group of strangers.

Maybe it was the fact she had complimented his art form moments before; judging his performance without thought nor permission to do so. Now it was his turn to judge hers. Although he had her complete permission to do so. Still... it made her nervous. She brought the bow to the strings, about ready to play the first note when a soft giggle burst from her chest at the serious expression she saw forming on her features. "Sorry, Sorry," She said, removing the bow from the strings and shaking out the tension from her shoulders. "Okay. This time for real."

She once more brought the bow to the strings. This time she closed her eyes and willed her features into their natural state. A soft smile. After a deep breath, her arm moved, sliding the bow against the string and playing the first note of the song. While she played, she wasn't paying much attention to what was around her. She had completely blocked out reality and just focused on the song, on playing. And then she was whirling around in a little figure 8, her feet sliding along the surface of the studio's wooden flooring. It wasn't... dancing. Not really, but it was movement she paired with the song. In fact, had she not been playing, she probably would've been dancing in her own way.

Archie beamed when the boy had mentioned trying photography. "Really?" He exclaimed, a tad more excited than what the situation called for, "Oh man! I could give you lessons. Really simple things like angles and framing. Oh! I could show you how to use photo shop you could probably do some neat digital artwork with it one you learn the tools. It's free for me because I'm a photography student and the school pays for it. I wonder if we could talk them into letting you get a subscription as well. Otherwise, it's a little pricey." He realized he was babbling again and smiled shyly. "Sorry." He said and ruffled his hair a bit.

When Theo had requested his sister join them, Archie agreed. "She's that girl you were sitting with this morning right? Not that I was stalking you or staring at you or anything, I just noticed you were there and I wanted to talk to you. But we were eating breakfast and it was first thing in the morning and I'm not much of a morning person although Rowan likes to deny that fact and here I go again on a tangent so I'm just going to answer. Yes. She can come. I'll let Rowan know to expect a plus 1." As his statements started to come to a close and he realized he was babbling again, he forced himself to slow down.

Archie thought a moment and pulled out the notebook he keeps in his pocket to jot down ideas in, and scribbled his number onto its surface with a pencil he also kept in his pocket. The pencil was better than a pen because pens had a tendency to break, leak, and stain. Pencils just... stabbed. And when they're mechanical, it's much easier to avoid all of that mess all together. "Here's my number," He said as he handed the piece of paper to Theo. "That way we can find each other at lunch. I'll see you then."

And with that, Archie turned and wandered off, waving back towards Theo. He walked until he was out of sight and dropped down, his back sliding down the building behind him. Very smooth, Andrews He sighed, running a hand through his hair before he pulled out his cell phone to text his roommate.

To: Ro

Dude! That guy from breakfast is going to join us for lunch. Hope that's okay.
His sister, the girl from earlier? She's coming too.

P.S: His name is Theo. He looks like a Theo!

ImageImageTheo watched Archie's eyes light up the moment he mentioned wanting to try photography, and he couldn't help but smile. He loved seeing others get excited about the things they loved to do. Not to mention, Archie's smile was stunning. But he'd be keeping that thought to himself. Theo's hands nervously gripped his sketchpad as he watched and listened to Archie talk, until he slowly came to a stop. The artist watched in silence as the guy in front of him pulled a pencil out of his pocket along with a small notebook.

"Here's my number." Theo blinked, taking the piece of paper and staring at it for a moment before looking up at Archie. "That way we can find each other at lunch." Theo's heart drummed against his chest, but he stood silent and still as he watched Archie turn and walk away casually. The young boy was dumbfounded for several seconds. It wasn't until a door shutting behind him pulled him out of his thoughts and he realized that he didn't tell Archie that he doesn't even have a phone. Still, he looked back down at the paper, the corners of his lips pulling upwards, before he safely tucked it away inside his sketchpad.

The odd feeling in the pit of his stomach didn't leave him. Not as he walked into his dorm, nor after he took a shower and changed clothes, not even nearly an hour later after he had gotten dressed and fixed his hair. He kept looking back at the sketchpad, thinking of the small piece of paper. Each time he did, he'd catch himself smiling for no reason, which would then lead to the feeling in his stomach growing. This is the kind of thing he would probably talk to Aria about, if it weren't for the fact that he was such a coward. After glancing at the alarm clock on the night stand, Theo figured he should start heading back to the cafeteria. He hesitated a few seconds before opening his pad and placing the small piece of paper into his pocket. Maybe Ari would agree to getting a phone that they could both use.

ImageImageRowan waited for the girl to start playing. She took her time, albeit a bit clumsily. It almost made him want to smile. Almost. After regaining her composure, she finally began to play. At first, Ro simple listened. He watched her in slight awe. He hands and fingers move across the strings with ease, like it was the easiest thing to do. As simple as breathing. But after a bit, the song picked up. Rowan closed his eyes for a moment, picturing certain dance moves that would fit the melody almost to perfection. He didn't often dance to this kind of music, but he didn't dislike it. In fact, it often was one of the easiest things to dance to and a style closest to what he preferred.

After several seconds of just listened and mentally plotting dance moves, Rowan slowly got to his feet. His eyes remained on the girl, and his hands made a gesture that signaled her to continue playing. He didn't want her to think he was done listened, he merely just wanted to step away a bit to have enough space. The acoustics of the room made the melody bounce off the walls, as if it were on a speaker, making it easy for him to hear it from any spot. Once he made sure he had the room necessary, he began to move. The arms first, and then his legs along with them. He moved slowly, delicately, hardly making any sound to ensure he could hear the music well. The melody easily led his moves. When the tune picked up, so did Rowan's movement. He was so caught up in creating a routine, he almost missed the fact that the song slowly came to an end.

There was a beat of silence, during which the two only looked at one another, until Rowan broke the silence. "You play really well." he said, slightly out of breath. The moves weren't hard to do, but he was still tired from his practicing earlier. He opened his mouth to speak again but the sounds of his phone cut him off. Apparently Archie had messaged him about half an hour ago. At first, Ro hardly gave the message a thought, but after reading through it a second time, his eyes darted to the girl. "I uh...think we're having lunch together."

To: Archie

Aria nearly stopped when the boy rose, startled at the sudden movement, and her bow slid on the strings a little. He motioned for her to continue, though. So she did, but she watched him as she played. At first, he seemed to just stand there. Then he started moving and Aria's heart beat a little faster at the sight. He was dancing to her music. Moved as she was by its sound. A small smile crept onto her face and she closed her eyes, reveling in the music from her violin.

Next thing she knew, she was dancing with him. Not at all on the same level considering she had never spent any time learning any kind of dance. Either way, they were doing it together. They whirled about the studio space, the acoustics in the room allowing the music to fill the space until Aria felt she was wrapped it. Then her fingers stumbled at the end because it was, in fact, the end of the song. There was nothing left to play.

She smiled sheepishly at him as she stopped and turned to put her violin back in its case. From behind her, she heard him compliment her playing. A heat crawled up her neck and stained her cheeks red. "Oh! Well um... thank you." She smiled softly, hugging the case to her chest. Then his phone went off and she felt as though she was taking up his time. She turned to leave, allowing him the privacy of whatever the call or text was, but he said they were apparently having lunch together. "Oh, but I was going to meet Theo--my--my brother for lunch." She thought, misunderstanding his statement. Then she realized what his statement actually meant, and a surprised o formed on her lips. "Ohhhh. Theo must have made a friend." Then she turned to head to the cafeteria. "Well then by all means. Lets go." She paused just outside the doorway, turning to wait for him and said, "By the way, my name is Aria. Not like Arya Stark from that tv show. Aria like... a vocal solo." Her words trailed off at the end, a tad embarassed at her correcting no one.

Archer was practically beaming as he made his way to the cafeteria for lunch. It took him a few minutes to actually get there, however, because he was stopping to snap photos here and there of students and the school. The entire campus was beautiful. Although, what captured Archie's attention most was the blue of the sky against the pale gold of the school's buildings and the brown of the trees. Archie was suddenly seeing Theo everywhere. Which was strange for someone he just met.

After taking about thirty photos on his walk from building F to the cafeteria building. In fact, he took about five more in front of the large, tinted windows that composed part of the building from the old greenhouse. He thought the windows would make the area unbearably hot, but it was comfortably warm. He wasn't sure if this was because of the tinting or because of the school's AC but either way, it was one of his favorite places to be. Both in part of the building itself and the fact that there was food here.

He had read Ro's text on his walk here, but now that he was sitting and a little less distracted, he felt a little guilty. "It's not a date.." he said, as he typed the reply. Then he finished the text with a "Sorry, man..." He chewed on his thumbnail a bit before sending another text:

To: Ro
He's really cute though.

ImageImageMuch to his relief, Theo did not get lost of his way back to the cafeteria. However it did take him a bit longer than it should have to get there. Mainly because he'd never gotten that extra sleep he needed, nor did he have that big of a breakfast. Lack of sleep mixed with lack of nutrition made for a somewhat slow Theo. He walked at a slightly slower pace than usual, his eyes scanning his surroundings for possible sketch inspirations. The school was certainly beautiful, as Ari pointed out at least once a day, and there were so many thing just begging to be painted about.

The other reason was nerves, if that's what you'd call him. Half of him wanted to hurry and make it to the cafeteria already. The other half wanted to take as long as possible in hopes that once he did get there, Aria would already be waiting. It's not that Theo didn't want to be alone with Archie, in fact he really loved their walk back to the dorms. It's more that he didn't know how to. He'd never been good at socializing with strangers, that much was a given. But mix that with lack of rest, an empty stomach and the irrational fear that he might actually bore Archie to death with his lack of conversation skills, and you had a result that made Theo second guess his decision a couple hundred times. Eventually though, he did make it to the cafeteria, and it didn't take him long to spot Archie. Of course, as the universe would have it, Aria was still nowhere to be seen. The brunette thought about waiting just outside the place until she got there, but before he could act on it, Archie looked right in his direction.

The artist nervously bit his bottom lip before willing his feet to move. "Hey" he said, giving his usual soft smile a shot. He prayed Archie could not pick up on his uneasy state, otherwise it could get very awkward, very quickly.

ImageImage"Oh, but I was going to meet Theo--my--my brother for lunch." Rowan's eyebrows rose in response to her comment. Maybe he should have worded things better, because it seemed like the girl understood it as him asking her to have lunch with him. Not that he would have minded, but it hadn't even crossed his mind. He opened his mouth a bit to explain, but thankfully she caught on all on her own. "Yeah it seems so..." he replied, thinking back to Archie's message. He wondered in this Theo boy really had accepted to have lunch together or if Archie simply assumed he had. For his friend's sake, he hoped it was a the former, but he also knew Archie well enough to know that the guy tended to get ahead of himself at times.

The girl's voice brought him back to the room as she suggested they start walking toward the cafeteria. Rowan nodded, picking up his bag, as he listened to her introduce herself as Aria. Not like Arya Stark...noted. He smiled to himself before simply responding with "I'm Rowan". No one truly called him Rowan anymore, aside from his teachers and strangers, but well this girl technically fit into the latter category still. As he followed her out the door, he suddenly stopped, realizing why he felt a bit uncomfortable. "Actually..." he began, coming to a slow stop to assure she stopped as well. "Can you give me like...10 minutes? I should probably..." he trailed off, gesturing to his sweating clothes and hair. "You can go on ahead if you want." he suggested in case she didn't actually want to sit around and wait for him.

Aria was distantly aware she was rambling on about something when Rowan suddenly stopped. She turned, worried she had somehow upset him. He gestured to himself and asked her to give him about ten minutes before he joined her and she blushed just slightly. "Oh. Yeah. Sure thing. I'll just um..." She turned towards the glass dome that was the corner of the cafeteria. It wasn't a far walk on her own. Nor was walking on her own an issue, but she usually walked with Theo so whenever she was alone she felt... awkward. "I could wait outside the dorm area. Not that I can't find the cafeteria myself or anything. Just so you don't have to do things on your own? Not that you I can't..." She rubbed at her face, having trouble telling him what she was thinking. She was better at music than words. "I can wait and we can walk together. It's no inconvenience really. Let the two new friends bond a little. Theo has trouble talking to people he isn't used to."

She waved him off and went to stand in the shade near the announcement board. There wasn't much shade out here thanks to the noon sun, but there was a tree beside the board, meant to keep notices from fading too quickly. As she waited, she looked over the board in an attempt to pass the time. There were notices for roommates needed, group meetings--Aria thought about joining one for violin or strings or something--and then there, in the corner like a scorned child, was a missing person's poster. She made a mental note to ask Rowan if he had seen it before. She wondered how long it was there.

Archie was surfing through various websites and social media pages he often frequented. Perused some fanfiction sites as well, though most weren't catching his attention. He was waiting for the others before he got his lunch. Otherwise, he would either torture himself with the food before him that he cannot touch, or he would eat it all and have nothing when the others were there. So he sat and waited.

He nearly jumped two feet in the air when Theo approached. He was a very quiet person and he didn't hear him coming up behind him. "Oh geez. You startled me." He said, clutching his chest the way a southern lady might when startled. He frowned at his hand as if it betrayed him. He relaxed his arm and sighed. "I'm apparently jumpier than I thought." He smiled shyly up at Theo and said. "Glad you found me. Any idea where our friends are?"

ImageImage"Oh geez. You startled me." Archie's reaction caught Theo off guard a bit, ironically enough, startling him a little too. He watched, with mild amusement, as Archie's hand moved from his chest to the table in front of him. He cautiously took a seat as he listened to Archie explain he was jumpy. For a second, Theo only looked at him like a puppy would look at it's owner when attempting to understand directions. But then confusion turned into concern as his eyes widened slightly. "Oh, why? did something happen?" he questioned. There had to be a reason for Archie's jumpy state.

If he was being honest, he was a little out of sorts himself, but most likely not for the same reason as Archie. Maybe it was a combination of the bustling crowd around them, the fact that he felt as if everyone was staring though they had no reason to, or the fact that Archie was so close to him and his eyes shone so bright Theo could practically see himself in them. The small boy could feel his heart starting to pound against his chest, so he looked away. At the large windows behind him, the grouping of tables, the bundle of students gathering their food, anything except the guy's face.

"I...have no idea. I haven't seen Aria since this morning." he responded, realizing he had yet to give the guy an answer for his question. Wherever they were, Theo prayed that they would hurry before he did or said anything stupid.

ImageImageEowan made sure not to take too long getting cleaned and dressed. He had told Aria he only needed fifteen minutes, and used up 10. The other five he spent sending a quick message to his little sister. Once he was ready and his belongings packed, he walked back out to meet the girl. She was near the announcements board, underneath the big tree. "Ready?" he asked before moving along. As they walked, Rowan gave a quick glance back at the announcements. One in particular that had been there for about a week now. He didn't know the girl, but the idea that someone had gone missing from the campus and had yet to be seen a week after was disheartening to say the least.

"I'll let Archie know we're on the way" he said, tearing his eyes away from the board and on his phone screen. The school was bustling around this time of day, very lively and eventful as it usually was. Several people gave Rowan odd looks as he and Aria walk past them. Rowan had never been your typical popular guy. He didn't have a clique he spent all his time with nor did he have certain types when it came to making friends. Most of his current friends knew that by now and accepted him for it. Still that didn't mean he wouldn't get weird looks for making unlikely friends. Last time he did, it was Archie and his friend chalked it up to them being roommates.

[To: Archie]
[Okay lover boy, we're on the way. Try not to scare the guy too much.]

Aria nearly jumped out of her skin when Rowan came up behind her. It wasn't that he hadn't made any noise or anything. It's more of... Aria's mind was elsewhere. Thinking of the girl on the photo. She thought back to when one of the kids had been "adopted". She had been abandoned as a baby and apparently, not long afterward, her mother went looking for her, but at the time, she had already been put through the system and sent elsewhere, but there was no way to tell where she had gone. After years of searching, her mother--and her mother's husband--found her and brought her back into her life. Ever since Aria had low key wished for a story like hers. That she had been abandoned and her mother regretted the decision and would come looking for her. Of course, it was just that. A wish. Ari didn't mind that much considering she had created a family all her own at Lady Augustine's. She had Theo. But she couldn't help think of the lost girl knowing her family was looking for her like the little girl from her past. She wondered if--like Ari--she would never be found.

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm ready." She said quietly, her blue eyes glued to the poster for a moment longer than it should've as they walked away. He said that he would notify Archie that they were on their way--Archie being the friend Theo made-- and she nodded. She and Theo didn't have phones, which tended to complicate things sometimes, but in the end, they always worked it out. "That's good." She replied.

She found herself in that distracted state until they made it to the cafeteria and found Theo and the boy from that morning that must've been Archie. She gave a small smile to Theo before giving a small wave to Archie and introduced herself. "I'm Aria. Nice to meet you." She left out the part about not being Arya Stark that she had given Rowan earlier. The poster had put her in a rare dark state of mind, but seeing Theo was slowly bringing her out of it. The world was always right when she was with Theo. "So what's for lunch?"

Archie raised his eyebrow at Theo's question about something happening. Then he realized how his comment on his jumpiness probably sounded and chuckled awkwardly. "Oh! No, nothing happened. I'm just a bit tired or... something." He said as his face turned a little red under Theo's gaze. His jumpiness could probably be explained by his nerves with being around Theo. Not that he would ever admit it.

His phone went off and he pulled it out to read the text.

He smiled at his roommate's message and put his phone back into his pocket. "No need to worry. They're on their way." He looked over to the buffet section where the food was slowly being picked off until there would be none left. His stomach growled loudly and he tried not to worry about Theo potentially hearing it. "Oh, so hey, do you like comic books?" He asked.

That's when their missing friends appeared. The cute redhead introduced herself as Aria and then there was Ro. Aria had asked what was for lunch and he nearly jumped from his seat in anticipation of food. "Whatever you're in the mood for. Let's go!" He walked quickly to the line to grab a tray and a few plates and piled them high with different foods. Little sandwich halves, a bag of potato chips, and a bowl of fruit on one plate. The other was filled with desserts. He added a burrito to the top of his food items, grabbed a soda, paid for his food, and went back to their table. In the meantime, he forgot to be polite and wait for the others but he was so hungry. "Sorry about that." Was all he could say before he started to chow down.
