Introduction

Life is bleak, black and white, colorless in Maysville, Florida. By itself on the coast, the small town is beloved by the adults and mostly tolerated by the youth. Teenagers find the idea of color to be strange until they catch a glimpse of red or green as they walk by a flower basket or a tree. In the small high school, rumors have spread that some students are beginning to see color.

In the small town of 10,000, destiny has worked itself in a way where nearly everyone finds their soulmate in the small town. If they don't, then they move away eventually, forever color blind and wondering of what could have been. The largest fear in Maysville being to not find your soulmate, or to not realize who it is. Merely being around your soulmate begins to leak color into the spectrum of color, an addicting sight that makes youth crave for more.

In the complexities of summer, young adults must attempt to push past their inner conflicts and fears, to realize who they are and what they want in life, before it's too late, and all color seeps from their life forever.

A town where everyone basically knows everyone though may or may not know everyone's name. There is three schools in the entire town, one for each school group. Main street is lined with small shops and home run businesses with the beach behind them and sidewalks between almost every store to have access to said beach. Majority of houses rest in neighborhoods while the wealthiest of people live on the beach. Apartments for smaller families are above the main street shops. Maysville Park rests between the high school and the end of main street. A few major business franchises reside in the town but not many. In summer, tourists flock to the cute small town with many pieces of beauty. Summer romances come and go, flings fly off into the distance, and potential soulmates waltz right by the young adults of Maysville.

Tourists don't know of Maysville's quirk. The members of the town know it is forbidden to release the information as it would only bring hardship upon the town. While many individuals have different viewpoints of the small town and each other, all, even the disturbed ones, would never share such information, for there was no reason to hurt everyone and everything they had ever known and loved, even if it was only themselves.

More roles may be added upon request but please have an idea of what you want to do. Also, all these roles must be filled up first. First come first serve basis. But [Male 2] refuses to admit to himself that he truly has feelings for someone else, Danny Harper, but it could never work out... Could it?

[Female 2] has been dating [Male 2] since the beginning of summer and feels as if he's the one. She's steadily been seeing more and more color nearly every day. What she fails to realize though is that her friend from work at the seaside pool club, [Male 3], is actually the one making her see more color as they get further into summer and see each other more and more, even more than she sees [Male 2]. But [Male 3] is a nobody, so it couldn't possibly be him in [Female 2]'s mind. [Female 2] has been staying with her family in a beach house they rent and enjoy every summer in the upper end of town.

[Male 3] feels as if [Female 2] is the one for him, but he doesn't know for certain since she seems so happy everyday with [Male 2]. [Male 3] fears that if he speaks up, she will only put him down and those feelings he had would be squelched, leaving him with nobody. Could he convince her of his feelings? Or at least make her see that maybe [Male 2] isn't the best choice for her?

A shy girl, Thea Rose works often in order to make money. She works at least two jobs and doesn't think she has time to ever find romance and as a result, believes she will never see color. One day while she was waiting tables though, Kyle Harrison and a few friends walk in and when she sees him, she notices the color of his eyes first, that she could see it. Suddenly intrigued, Thea Rose can't help but wonder about him, and about whether or not the rich boy would even look her way again once he paid his check.

Danny Harper is sure he found his soulmate in [Female 2]. Every time he sees her and her boyfriend walking down the beach it's as if the world brightens and the slow turning blue sky becomes slightly sharper. Danny Harper is not shy with anyone and while he thinks his love is in [Female 2], he wishes it was instead with [Male 2] as he is exactly the sort of person Danny Harper is sure he would fall in love with and live happily with.

Visiting Maysville with a few friends and his parents in his parents nice beach house, Kyle Harrison and his friends one day went to a different restaurant than they normally did, an extremely popular tourist attraction where they heard great food was. When they were approached by a waitress, Thea Rose, Kyle Harrison was struck by her. He couldn't help but wonder about the girl ever since he first met her, receiving teasing from his friends while he contemplated what it was about her that was so intriguing and eventually led to him not only thinking about her constantly, but attempting to reach out to her as well.

Activity || Please be active! This includes posting at least twice a week (hopefully more than three or four would be great!). If you are not willing to be dedicated, please do not apply, I want this to stay active. This is a role-play that I want to last and enjoy! You have three days to get a post up unless you notify me otherwise (PM or OOC works). Please keep up in the OOC. I will post important information there. Please do the relationship thread though it is not required. At least talk with others to find out your characters' relationships with others. Don't guess, it could be considered metagaming at some point.

Posts || Posts need to be at least three paragraphs, 450 words. It's really easy when you start doing thoughts, descriptions, how others look, what others might feel. Think! Literacy please! If I don't think there is enough, I will tell you. Try to match what your partner you are currently roleplaying with gave you, if you can't it's okay, but please get close. No metagaming (controlling another person's character without their consent), god gaming (making a character super strong or unbeatable), or Mary Sues (Making a perfect character or a perfect tragic character). Normal roleplay rules. I will call you out if I see this rule being broken.

Reservations || Reservations last 24 hours until you enter a WIP (Which can be totally blank) which then reserves the role an extra 48 hours. PM me if you need more time. When you are entering a reservation, please include the hex code, faceclaim, a gif of the faceclaim, and the role. I will take reservations through PM. Reservations are first come first serve, no competition at all. Don't ask for it. I will PM you a warning after 48 hours and if you do not respond within 24, the role will be giving to someone else or opened up again unless you finish the character.

Gamemaster Abilities/Requirements Contact me! I will talk to you and I would love to answer questions you might have. This is going to be fun but you must stay in contact if you have questions so we can keep things going! Other characters not used by a person will act as NPCs. Only people who create an NPC can control them. Like if I created a bunch of friends for my character, nobody else could control them unless they ask me either in the OOC or PM. Contact me if you have more fun ideas or anything you think would be great!!! Also, in your reservation, please include whether or not your character has a job and if so, at what store? If they are rich and tourists, please do not give them a job. If they are rich but locals, they can have a job.

It's happening! I will be messaging anyone who hasn't submitted characters left! Since I've been so busy with a show and tech week and rehearsals, I haven't had time to really moderate. As soon as I get my characters and everyone else gets their characters done we will begin. Hopefully by Monday at the latest, tomorrow the earliest. Keep working!
