Introduction
The Town of Pale Ridge was a peaceful town. The villagers were at peace and harmony in their day to day lives. It all changed one day when a man was bitten by a wolf. The man though seriously injured survived the ordeal. Upon returning home he settled back in to his normal life. A week later on the full moon he changed. He uncontrollably transformed and killed many people in a terrible rampage. Unable to accept the fact that a mythical creature exists, the towns folk ignored the ordeal, and those who believed it ignored it and got on with their every day life.
It was not long before vampires became aware of the Werewolves in Pale Ridge. In little time they moved to pale ridged and settled their hiding themselves amongst the unsuspecting humans, feeding off the humans and yet not killing or turning them into their ilk, the vampires hid from the werewolves. It was not long before they noticed the vampires presence, at full moon they fought. It was a terrible battle with heavy losses on both sides.
Recovering both factions hid until now, but two covens have started warring again, the blind villagers trying to live their day to day lives, hiding and clinging to life. Some even have become slayers, those believing in the monstrosities of the dark.

Vampires
Vampires, yes you are blood sucking undead.
1. You burn in sunlight come out and you be burnt to a crisp. This is not Twilight. Garlic will make you ill and ward you away, and a stake to the heart will turn you to dust.
2. You must have a resting place where you sleep in the day
3. Keep that place hidden and secret from everyone else
4. You are trying to keep a low profile and not be discovered in the town or make yourself aware to the werewolves, other vampires and humans, you are a 'fairy tale', keep low and don't kill unless necessary
5. When feeding you should 'try' not to kill the person you are feeding
6. You can turn others into vampires but it is preferred if you ask them in OOC
7. You are on your own at the start or if you wish can be together as a coven,if so get out there and befriend others of your kind, the last thing you want is a kin war.
8. You hate Werewolves.
9. You can only survive on Blood, food is meaningless and tastes like dirt.

Werewolves
Wolf You are a fluffy man/wolf creature that go berserk at the moon.
1. You only become a werewolf at the full moon but it seems in pale ridge the moon is a lot brighter than usual and older werewolves may transform under the light of the moon, but it is a uncontrollable transformation in the full moon. You can do little to subside your bloodthirsty hunger,rage and hunt mania. Your actions are often uncontrollable.
2. Silver kills you, you hate it, it hurts keep away from it.
3. Your transformation is uncontrollable, if you don't want to control, keep away from the moon. I.E you have to stand in the full moonlight or see it.
4. You are trying to keep a low profile and not be discovered in the town or make yourself aware to the Vampires, other wolves and humans, you are a 'fairy tale', keep low and don't kill unless necessary, you do not want to be discovered, it is easy for them to get at you in your human form.
5. You can communicate to other werewolves once in that form, but sometimes the form is uncontrollable and you wont remember anything.
6. You can act more like a human than a vamp, making it easier to fit in. You can eat food.
7. You can turn others into werewolves but it is recommended that you ask them in OOC first
8. You hate Vampires
9. Your identity is your most valued thing, keep it safe, or you are as good as dead.

---Couple days later---
Carson
"Ouch..." I wince as the nurse murmurs a sorry once more. I keep my face turned away as the nurse rebandages my wrist. Once she's done I'll finally be able to go home. I glance over at Andrew, his face isn't as pale as it was when I first got put in here. At least he's awake this time. We talked a little yesterday, but not about much. I offer him a wane smile, but grimace again as the nurse tightens another bandage around my wrist. I ask him quietly, "So uh... Do you know when you're going home?" I grimace again, but offer another small smile.
Carson

Andrew had become even paler, he gave Carson a weak smile and then props himself up onto his pillows, his wrist visible now is wrapped in many bandages, there is dried blood around it. "Hello Carson" he said quietly, very unlike the loud energetic Andrew she once knew. The nurse walked in and answered Carsons question for her. "Not till he stops bleeding. and can finally get out of bed" she said snapping at Carson. She undid Andrews bandage revealing yellow skin underneath and two small holes looking very much like fang marks. Andrew winced as she washed the cut area. "At least its finally stopped bleeding" the nurse said sadly. "You can get off the drip soon" she said as she wiped antibacterial liquid and cream onto his wound and put on new bandages. "Will i be able to do sport soon, the winter trials are coming up!" Andrew asked eagerly. "No, my dear, no" said the nurse "Im sorry" and she left the room looking quite depressed, as though there was a bigger secret she was hiding then they knew. Andrew turned away from carson to the window. And didn't speak for a while.

I'm tired of all the silence over the last few days. If I don't talk I might forget how to! Please Andrew, talk to me. Abbea walks down the sterile white hall of the hospital, wrinkling her nose some at the anticeptic smell. Shed hidden for three days from the truth, the truth that Carson was in the hospital and it was her fault. But no one knows that. The nurse had told Abbea which room it was, and told her to go on in. So here Abbea was, standing outside the door to the room, almost too scared to go into the room. Finally she raises a hand and gently knock on the door to Carson's hospital room.

Andrew tried to force a smile but it came out as a face of astonishment. He turned to carson but found she had been separated from him by a curtain. "Well, i was in my room, and all of a sudden everything went cold and then i remember extreme pain in my wrist, i think i blanked out" he paused and asked the nurse for some pain relief, his wrist was hurting again, but she refused. he sighed and continued. "And then i woke up in hospital and they told me i tried to commit suicide" he sounded quite depressed. "They now say it was some kind of animal but i don't remember anything coming in, in fact i don't remember much at all" he finished sadly.

Elijah watched Abbea head towards the door from the seat he had taken. He had tried to go in but seeing as the hospital had no record of him and he wasn't related to either patients he was refused entrance. As abbea knocked on the door elijah sprung to his feet and grabbed her by the shoulders and forced her into the seat next to him. "Have you any idea of what you are doing, and who lies in that room?" he whispered harshly he paused and then let her get up as the nurse opened the door to see who had knocked. "Go in" he said rather eagerly "I want to know who's in there"

I move off the bed and back into my own, biting on my lip some. I kind of hope it's Jake coming in, but I doubt it, for dusk doesnt come for another hour or two. I sigh quietly when Abby walks in and smile a little. "Hiya Abby," I say. "What're you doing here?"

"Doctor said I can go home tonight. Gonna get some pain killers then wait for Jake to come and take me home. They don't want me leaving alone, not that I blame them. I just wish I could leave now and not have to wait."

The Nurse came around to the doctor with a sad face and held out the clip board to him. "Yes?" asked frank taking the clipboard. "This is Andrew's details he does not need to go home yet does he?". "No sir" said the Nurse sadly. "Andrew is dead". The dorm went quiet and frank opened the curtain separating Andrew and carson to reveal a white face Andrew and the life support machine's line ran still. I sigh sadly and close my eyes, surprised that I dont feel the sting of tears at all. I ground my teeth together some and straighten, recomposing myself. I set my face in a determined look and turn towards the doctor. "Yes I'm ready to go home. If I may have my clothes please, I think maybe Abby would be willing to walk home with me?" I look at Abby questioningly, almost pleadingly, anxious to get out of the hospital.

I Sigh and change quietly into my own clothes - a pair of distressed jeans with holes in the knees, the bottom portions of the jeans under the holes barely hanging on, and a really old band blue band tshirt for Journey. I groan as I pull tshirt on, it's so old it barely fits anymore, it hugs my sides and accentuates my flat stomach and boobs. I grimace as I look in the mirror. If I was a guy I'd think I'd look somewhat... sexy. Plain but sexy. I shake my head and grab my jacket and walk out of the room. I glance around for Abbey and see her sitting next to a guy. I walk over to them, hoping I'm not interrupting. "Hey Abbey... You don't mind walking me home do you?" I ask, starting to pull my jacket on.

"Thanks," I say with a slight smile. I zip up my hoodie about halfway and glance at the guy she was next to then back to Abby. "If you two were talking I can wait. I didn't mean to intterupt if I did." I bite the inside of my cheek and glance down at my feet real fast. I realize that one of my converses is untied and bend down to tie it. When I look back up to get up I end up looking the guy right in the eyes. His almost glowing eyes seem familar and I stumble on the end of my jeans stepping back quickly. "I'm sorry... but... Do I know you by any chance?" I ask the guy.

He stared back at Carson. "Pardon?" he said smiling. "No, i don't think we have met".
He looked into her eyes, still, he never let her gaze go. 'I will get you, Friend of Vampire's' he thought bitterly.
"I was just asking this young lady here what the time was" he said acting as though he had never met abbey before.
"Go on now!" he said urgently. "Don't want to hold you up, i've got a friend to visit" and he stood and walked past them down the corridors of the hospital
Out of their site he turned into a right corridor leading to the fire exit of the building.

I sit up and stretch and look around me. 'I'm in my place on the couch waiting for the sun to set so I can go get Carson... Not in the woods again, failing to protect her from those things...' I think with a slight sigh. I still feel guilty about not being able to have helped her. I get up and go to the bathroom and run some cold water over my face and hands, trying to clear my head. 'Why this girl? Why do I feel the need to protect her so?...' I dry my fave off and look in the mirror at my pale face and seemingly empty eyes.
The dull glint of the setting sun reflects on the corner of the mirror and catches my eye. I turn and walk to my room and pick out some fresh clothes. Dark wash jeans and black button down shirt. I lean against my front door and watch tge sun disappear behind the buildings of the small town then step outside and take a deep breath of the fresh air. 'To the hospital and Carson. No doubt she's itching to leave and go home.' I walk down the street towards the hospital at a leisurely pace, lost in my confusing thoughts.

I have a char, who i would very much like to play in an established vampire setting. I think he will be a fun addition to the game, as he is the sort of vampire whom the most people don't usually tend to play. Description-She stands at a mere five three, slender in figure but filled out for only being at the young age of twenty five. Her skin is a soft creamy color, but does tan in the summer for she tends to go outside more. Hair that falls down to her waist is a light brown and spirals, not curls per say. Her high cheek bone structure and well formed pointed nose suggests noble breeding, but no one has bothered to ask. She wears a soft green cotton dress that has a corset style top with quarter sleeves and soft deer skin shoes dyed the same color finished with a white apron. She wears a locket with pictures of her mother and father who long ago passed away from a plague that once wreaked havoc on the village. She's soft spoken unless she's angry then her voice raises with a hint of a low growl. She is semi social with others and that in turn is the reason everyone can come to her with secrets.
Personality-Mild temperament when she is socializing with others, she does tend to get annoyed easily, but has learned to control her anger. She tends to study people from afar and will only talk when spoken to. She's organized of course, one has to be when running a store. She has few friends that which she can count on one hand but feels the need to protect them. She has yet to find a man that peaks her interest nor one she can love, but she is hopeful. She helps the homeless or beggers as other villagers call them by leaving scraps of food and such at her back door, she may appear quiet but if someone challengers her she will not back down which gets her into a lot of trouble. On occasion she has gotten mouthy and the result was a bruise on her cheek, but it hasn't stopped her yet.
Equipment-She carried on her a small carving knife tied to her waist, she sees no point in carrying anything else. She owns the general store in town which is filled with many products ranging from grain to vegetables and even a few premade outfits for men and woman.
History-Avari has lived in the village most of her life, when the old man who owned the general store grew too weak to manage it he sold it to her for less than it's worth. After much time of repairing and rearranging she reopened it and has success in business. Many were happy that she was applying herself somewhere. She's owned the store for nearly a year and knows everyone, but of course new people arrive everyday buying up property while others move away. Avari lives in a small cottage some ways from the village, she likes her solitary confinement, that is why most cannot find her home for she has hidden it well. She doesn't attend many social functions and when she does her time is limited, which is why the elder woman Mrs. Barret says she cannot find a husband, but Avari knows her partner is out there, perhaps not in the village, but will someday come. She spends her nights reading, but also takes walks. Only a handful of times she's been seen wandering through the fields in nothing more than her nightgown, but no one questions for if they do she simply grins and finishes packaging their goods.

She crossed into america unseen, and was put into foster care. On the first full moon she lost control of herself, and the next thing she can remember is waking up in the middle of the woods, covered in blood. Horrified she ran for a long time, finally stopping here in Pale Ridge. She hides inside on every full moon, and is actually terrified of transforming.
