Introduction

Warning: The following contains heavy influences from a certain SEGA sci-fi series. If you don't like that, well, there is nothing I can do. It also contains various other references, so a good sense of humor is suggested.

Milky Way Galaxy, 2295 A.D.

It has been over 300 years since humankind has discovered the secrets of space travel. It has been honed and perfected over the years, but is now only used for cargo transport, military ships, space pirates, and pleasure cruises. It has been made almost obsolete by a newer technology; photon manipulation. Discovered almost 100 years ago, it has been the driving force behind teleportation, for it allows for the massive energy required for the actual teleportation. Unfortunately, only up to five people at a time can be teleported as such and therefore is ineffective as a cargo or military mover. However, photon manipulation has led to photon weapons ranging from massive photon cannons to photon swords to photon knives used for cutting food. Also, some people have the ability to manipulate M-rank photons into blasts of an elemental energy (like a fireball, or a giant icicle, or a flash of light, etc…). Some humans are willing to undergo genetic manipulation to be able to wield these powers. They can only control one element, though.

Humans haven’t focused solely on these things however. Genetics have come far as well. Mutations and defects are a thing of the past (although the need for eye correction somehow slid through the cracks…). Also, humans have made sub-races of themselves through both accident and design. One of these accidents is the Beast-Races, more commonly known as Beasts, where created almost 170 years ago in Project Ultima. There are many other groups, but I will go into that later. (And yes, there are all the other hallmarks of the distant future, aka flying cars and the like). The average life span is 120 years old (since about that long ago.)

Humans have colonized much of the galaxy, thanks to terraforming. In fact, the two most famous inhabited planets besides the Earth are Mars and Venus. Most of these planets are under the control of the Solar Empire, ruled by the King-Emperor Matri Abyra and the High Congress. Some places have splintered off from them, such as the Omicron Republic and Endro Collaboration. One group who has almost as much power as the governments is the G.M.A., or the General Manufacturing Agency, which has monopolized much of the market (although they do have fair prices.)

However, many things changed two years ago. An evil leftover from the Spartan Project, the brother of Project Ultima, was unleashed upon an unsuspecting world. All the evil groups rose up at the same time to create a stage of mass chaos. The world seemed to desend into hell. But it was pulled back from the brink by a small, elite group, collectively known as Team Silverose. Within the group were members of three groups; the Wayfarers, a shadowy group of three which used illegal methods to fight slavery led by a mysterious man named Laryn, REAP, a company dedicated to the development of new technologies led by a man named Jack Tanner, who left his right hand man- er, robot AUGER in charge before leaving, and the groups namesake, the Silverose Detective Agency, consisting of two people; Ash "Silver" Gibbs and his little sister Amy "Rose" Gibbs. Ash personally took on the evil presence, known as Chronos, and defeated him in a one on one duel that was broadcast around the world. Ash and the other member of Team Silverose to intergalactic stardom. The Wayfarers quickly disappeared with their new member, Sacura Abyra, while REAP took the opportunity to promote its products and truly challenge GMA (not Good Morning America). The pair of people from Silverose, Ash particularly, are household names and the idols of many children. Ash is likely the single most famous person of all time, with not a single person alive not knowing his name and signature appearance. The pair, however, disappeared mere weeks later and haven't been heard from for two years. And now, two years later, trouble is stirring again.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
I believe that is enough of the general overview. Here are the specifics:

Important Planets:

Earth- Capital of the Solar Empire. Is basically one big nature preserve now, with the cities in glass domes to keep nature out and people in. Big Cities: Nuvo Yorka (yes, New York…), Los Angeles, Romahi (Rome)

Mars- most densely populated planet. It is basically one big city itself. Olympus Mons is the most popular ski resort in the galaxy (for obvious reasons). The world climate is basically like that of Canada

Venus- Tropical paradise. About 94% of the planet is water. Small islands scattered about. Two main ones. Think Bahamas… The home planet of Silverose and still has the empty house and office of Ash. Largest (only) City: Landium

Mygita- a dusty rock in another galaxy. Place where most of the Beasts were shove by frightened humans. Part of the Solar Emp. Many deserts and rocky areas. Picture the rock spires and mesas of the West USA mixed with the painted desert, only cooler. Largest Cities: Corines, Sparti

Gokanin- jungle planet, mostly uninhabited except for research outposts, and some humans who decided technology was bad and formed tribal communities. Largest City: NONE! WEREN’T YOU PAYING ATTENTION?!

Endro- most populous city in the Galaxy, and Capital of Endro. Famous for its copper skinned humans, and its government of androids. And lets not forget its amazing food. Is basically one giant city, although it is very advanced and clean. Houses the main facility of the G.M.A.

Omic- capital of the Omicron, and the worst sleaze pit in the galaxy. Picture the Chicago of Al Capone. Very polluted. Nasty place to be, all said and done.

New Terra- a recently discovered inhabitable planet which has an atmosphere and composition identical to Earth's. It also has nearly identical vegetation and wildlife, causing scientists to marvel over the similarities.

Other than this, you and I can make ‘em up, if you PM me first, and just post a description of it and who it belongs to.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Countries/Groups

Solar Empire- the main power of the Galaxy. Allied with the Endro Collaboration. Abbreviated SE. Leader is Matri Abyra along with the High Congress. One of its Princesses is missing.

Endro Collaboration- a group of planets that broke of from the SE in a peaceful agreement. Allied with the SE. Lead by the Collective, a group of androids. Mostly know for its food and manufacture. Recently, they have been at odds with the Solar Empire and have terminated the alliance.

Omicron Republic- supposedly a democratic state, it rebelled after being taxed for its crime. All the power is held by two opposing gangs, the Jets and the Turks (almost said Sharks ;) )

G.M.A.- the largest company in existence. Has a monopoly in many markets, but always charges fair prices anyway. Most of its real competition lies in the Photon Weapon department, competing with the Venus based company Yoroichi and the Mygita based company W-Photon.

The Beast Liberation Front- a group of Beasts set out to prove they are equal or superior to humans. They have a militaristic splinter group named the Hand of Nam. They were destroyed by Team Silverose and have not been rebuilt.

Mova Sona- A group of Movans that think they are superior to all. Don’t let the name fool you; they can be quite nasty. They were destroyed by the Hand of Nam.

L.C.A.- A group of Androids that believe cold hard logic conquers all. They set out to prove it with cold, hard photon blasts. Well, maybe not cold and hard, but you get the picture. They were destroyed by the Hand of Nam.

Humans First- A group out for the extermination of all sub-human races. All Mova, Navies, and Beasts are in danger from these guys. They are fanatical terrorists who’s main HQ is somewhere on Earth, their only “Pure” planet (not that the other races don’t live there…). Their HQ is in the process of being rooted out.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

And finally, here we are at the meat and potatoes; the races!

Human- I don’t think I have to go into this all that much. Some have the ability to manipulate M-Photons.

Mavo- the descendents of the first humans who underwent the Genetic manipulation to use M-Photons better (or at all). It made them shorter, and with pointy ears (a la Elves…). Not all that different from humans, and are readily accepted into human society. Are almost always weaker than the average human.

Navis- human-made robots. Most have personalities, although some are truly as cold as the first robots. They now make the new androids. Endro has the largest android population. Also called Navies, after the first engineer of them. (A Mr. Navie) They were originally made to serve humans, and many still do, but many humans have had a prejudice against them. That, however, is nothing next to the next group. They are not able to use M-Photons, but are much more resilient to damage or abnormalities (like illness or getting poisoned…)

Beasts- A mistake is what most humans call them. They were first born when an overly arrogant scientist boasted he could make the ultimate human. The first beasts were feral monsters, but that didn’t stop the man. In order to prove they were superior, he engineered a mutating virus to turn the people in the town he was working in to these “ultimate humans.” He released it into the town he was working out of; Bostonia. The people there stood no chance. Nine of ten people infected into the feral beasts, while the rest became non-feral, but still beasts. These non-feral beasts escaped the city, only to be sent to Mygita by men afraid of them. Many Beasts dislike humans as much as humans dislike Beasts. To this day Bostonia lays abandoned, filled with the feral beasts trapped inside the dome. Beasts that are non-feral are in a humanoid form, with the only difference is having animal ears, maybe some animal fur, and maybe even a tail, and an amazing strength and stamina. However, they also have an animal form that is dependent on the Beast. Some Beasts can even vary there form, or have a form that isn’t actually a real animal. However, no known Beasts can use M-Photons.

The Betwixt- Those humans for who Genetics has go horribly wrong. They are when science crosses the line by fluke or design, and terrible things happen. Some of the Betwixt look human, feel human, and even act human, but hey aren’t. Eventually, what happened catches up with them, and the monster left inside emerges. Sometimes, a person can keep their mind. So people can even control it as a transformation. But most transform and go as feral as the Beasts. Only, they are much more dangerous; Beasts have animal instincts, while the Betwixt only know to kill.

Dark clouds rolled over Landium, the largest, and, well, only city on the planet of Venus. The planet was easily the largest tourist trap in the galaxy, with mild weather every day of the year, great surf, and plenty of sunshine. Of course, outsiders had no idea that sunshine was by no means guaranteed. Native Venusians could tell you that the storms they had were frequent and powerful. After all, with a planet comprised of mostly warm water, the storms had plenty of space to build up strength. The reason that people never really worried about the storms was because they were incredibly fast moving. It would usually pour for maybe a minute or so, sometimes more, before the storm was swept along on its way. Today was one of the rare days were the storm was both massive and slow moving, meaning they'd have days of darkness hanging overhead, even if it didn't start raining soon. This kind of weather had actually been a secret favorite of the most famous Venusian of all time, Ash "Silver" Gibbs.

Just a little over two years ago, Team Silverose had waged battle against the forces of the Hand of Nam and the evil Chronos. It had been an alliance of three different sides, originally for a much different purpose than it had turned into. The alliance had consisted of the Wayfarers, REAP, and the original Silverose Detective Agency. Ash had been the most famous of them, having been the leader of the team and the ultimate victor in his one on one battle with Chronos. He had become the single most recognizable person in the world. Then, suddenly, he had vanished.

Sacura hadn't been to Silver's old office/home since before the fight with Chronos. She had just decided to drop in after she had finished her mission here on the planet. She knew she would neither find Ash nor Amy in this place that the pair had once called home. She knew that, but... She felt like it was her duty to come here. After the battle with Chronos, she felt a certain loyalty to Silver, something she felt that everyone who had fought with them must have felt to some degree. She had never been the type of person to just follow someone, but Silver had been the kind of person that you just wanted to follow. Or at least, that was what she had felt. Maybe it had just been her, but she doubted it. Laryn, one of the most stubborn and unfriendly people she had ever met, thought of Silver as a close friend, maybe even his best friend. That spoke volumes about Silver's personality, she thought. If Laryn felt like that, then anyone could.

Sacura stepped outside after having cleaned some of the dust covered house. Some of the others in the group had cleaned there before too, she was sure, because the dust hadn't been all that thick. For now, that was good enough. They would come back some day. She was sure of it. Outside the house, everything looked the same as when she had first been there two years ago, after having been rescued by the Silverose Detective Agency from an attempted kidnapping. The streets looked the same, as did the buildings. the only things that weren't the same were the dark sky overhead and a strange man leaning on the wall across the street. He was staring at the Silverose offices, and something made Sacura walk over to him. Before she could say anything, he spoke. "So," he began, "I take it you are a fan of Ash 'Silver' Gibbs, the so-called 'Galactic Aeon,' huh? I hate to disappoint you, but that man is a dirty fraud. Don't want you to have any fantasies about him being an oh-so-great-- ouch!"

He was cut off with the exclamation of pain when Sacura had grabbed him by the front of his shirt and shoved him into the concrete wall he had been leaning on. Her mouth was contorted into a vicious snarl. Who the hell was he to call Ash a fraud? And how the hell could he believe that? There was no way that Silver could have faked anything! She had been there, she had seen him fight Chronos! How could anyone think that he was a fraud with all of the witnesses that had been there?! Looking up into his face, she saw that he was looking at her with a face of hatred. In a voice of sheer disgust, he said, "Get your filthy paws off me, you damn Beast!" With a sweep of his hand he forced Sacura's hands off his shirt. He glared down at her, pure malice in his eyes.

"Looks like I found another Gibbs-worshiper here. You beasts must really need some human masters, huh? I bet you would just love to have Gibbs as your owner. If you ever see your little master, tell him that Gabriel 'Zero' Angel will take his title from him and prove to the world he is nothing but a damn fake!" Shoving Sacura to the ground with a strong push, he stalked off down the street, not looking back at her as he disappeared in the rain that had started to pour down. As thunder cracked in the distance, Sacura made her way towards the city's teleporter, the snarl still working on her face. That man had been both incredibly arrogant and incredibly racist. She had dealt with racism before, but few had made her mad like this. She needed to do something. She flipped open her communicator, one formerly made for Team Silverose by Ash himself, and set the channel to the one they had always used to use back during the war with Chronos, and the that they still often used today. She said, "Laryn, I think we should take a break today. We haven't had one in awhile. Let's meet up in Romahi, okay?" Without waiting for an answer, she flipped it closed once again and stepped into the teleporter. She needed to take a break, or her anger would have gotten the better of her.

Laryn flipped open his comm as he heard Sacura come over, and then quite abruptly cut herself off. A break huh? He thought looking at his nearly vacant metal desk. Well, there hadn't been much chatter anyway so this may not be a bad time for a break. He stood up and started to talk into his comm. "Sounds good. Let's meet up." he said into the comm. Laryn swiveled his chair to the side and rose, looking around his office. It'd been a while since the last time that they'd all gotten together, so it should be good for them. Besides, that was not like Sacura at all to leave such a breif memo. She was in no shape to work right now anyway, he figured. Laryn grabbed his coat and walked toward the locked door and in one swift motion unlocked the door. However he hesitated afterward. He removed his left hand from the door handle and brought his right hand up to it slowly. Then, cautiously started to twist the knob. Soon though he was simply looking at his arm, gritting his teeth not to scream out. Damn! He couldn't even open a f**king door! In disgust he threw his coat on over his bandaged right side and slammed the door behind him as he walked out of the room, then turned and locked the door. Laryn then left the warehose they called their base for now and went toward the teleporter to Romahi.

Nicholas Taylor is a busy man. He spends the majority of his days cooped up in his workshop, which is his house's basement.

Okay, 'cooped up' would be stretching it. His basement is 10 metres tall and wide and long as three parking lots. He would've requested slightly more space, but he felt that that would be pushing it. Point is, he spends a lot of time at home. He gave a small cough at his workspace. "Ultimus," he called, and the room consequently brightened just a tad. "Run a diagnostic on the ventilation systems. If there are any blockages, send them to the garbage. If there are any toxic or potentially toxic fumes, please purify them." The room went back to its normal lighting right before Nick reached for his glass of water. He took a nice, long drink. Upon finishing, he exhaled through his nose and began working on his computer.

The teleporter in the corner of the room came to life and a woman walked through. This woman was Elsa Mayer, and she was Nick's secretary and only link to the outside world excluding his computer. She wore her typical work outfit: a black suit with a black skirt going below her knees. A very small slit was present on both sides of the skirt, allowing for extra mobility. It was bizzare logic to Nick as he has never seen a woman need to run or fight in a business suit, but he dismissed it and passed it off as a girl thing. "Hello Mr Taylor," she said. "It's rather pungeant in here."

"Ultimus is taking care of it," Nick responded as he continued typing. A small spherical object roughly a foot in diameter mounted on four wheels rolled up to Elsa. As she picked it up, a small section rose up from the robot and aimed its blue lens at her. It was its head. Elsa couldn't help but smile.

"Hello MAGNUS," she greeted. The rotund Navi beeped happily and extended two think arms from its sides. Now, it's rare for Nick to show any signs of affection for any living creature, so the fact that he finds MAGNUS's acts endearing say a lot. Elsa looked towards him. "So whatcha doin'?"

"Well," began Nick upon turning around to face the computer again as Elsa walked towards him with MAGNUS, "I'm sending a message to G.M.A. asking where the hell my supplies are," he explained as he continued typing. "It's been three days since you sent in the order- yes, it went through, I checked- and I haven't received them yet." He pressed the 'Send' button and the message was on its way. "Maybe I should've signed up with REAP..." Nick turned to face Elsa. "So what are you doing here so early? You don't start work for two hours."

Elsa put MAGNUS down for a moment to reach into her pocket. "I was asked by your manager to deliver a letter to you." After observing his bodily twitch at the word 'deliver', she made sure not to say it later. She pulled out a small thin rectangular metal-carbon material and handed it to Nick.

"Nicholas Taylor", he spoke, causing the letter to expand in size to be roughly the size of an A4 sheet of paper. It was apparently a voice-recognition lock system. After reading over the contents, he sighed. "Elsa, get to the computer and sort out some order forms, please." Nick turned to his computer as Elsa walked over to her workstation. "Why do we still have this things? What's wrong with the online network to still send couriers?"

Elsa looked over her shoulder as MAGNUS rolled up to her. "Is something wrong?"

"Nah," responded Nick tiredly. "Just a maintenace request. Apparently, a CHEsuit's been damaged."

"Oh," replied Elsa. After a few quiet seconds, she spoke again. "Can I help with repairs?"

Nick was about to reply with a sharp 'no', but stopped upon remembering the infamous phrase from his manager: 'Only one in a million people can even begin to understand these things. You need to train someone.' "Sure," said Nick, sounding the slightest bit regretful. "You need the experience."

Elsa smiled. She was surprised and incredibly elated. This is the first time Nick has allowed her to work alongside him with CHEsuit repairs. "Thank you, Mr. Taylor!"

And with that, they got back to their computers.

Eye's flickered in the darkness of Atlis's room, Amber eyes brightening slightly as his night vision adjusted. With a groggy feeling, the bounty hunter sat up and shook his head to clear his mind. Or at least i'm programmed to act groggy.
The thought ran through his mind and disappeared instantly as he stood to began the new day. Good Morning Atlis Light's flickered on, revealing what seemed to be an open field of darkness, as a small sized room. Big enough to to fit a small bunk and computer desk with little room to spare. "Good morning Sheeva, how's the Crimson Sky doing today?" Atlis replied, Nothing apart from the usual scratches. He smiled "Just another regular day huh?", Is there every a regular day as a bounty hunter? "Nope."

He stepped forward, waited a second as the bedroom door slid open, and proceeded down the hall towards the bridge aboard his small ship. Did you have another "dream" Atlis? The annoyed glance Atlis gave was clear enough for the sensors. Must we go through this again? "Preferably not." Atli's reply was short and slightly curt. " I'm ok with you not believing that i can't dream, but please don't mock me for it." I'm just simply interested in what dream you've had this time. The bounty hunter slid into the pilots seat (the only seat on the bridge) and pulled the throttle close to him, from his left arm, he pulled a small wire and plugged it into the piloting system quickly gathering information as to where he was currently located. "Oh good, we're close to Venus, Let's make a stop there." He grinned at the prospect to enjoying some sun and possibly viewing the bounty list the local police were bound to keep. Atlis? Sheeva's voice spoke uncertainly, Your dream?

SIlence immediately filled the cockpit, Atlis keeping still for what seemed like an eternity. "I saw nothing." He responded "Just heard a voice saying i was a failure."

Kofleur smiled as the waiter brought over the water to her table. It looked surprisingly... vacant with only her at it. After all it was a decently large table and capabele of seating at least four people and it was one of the larger tables they had outside. She sighed and stretched a bit. Man, it had been a long time since they'd had a vacation! And she had missed the food so much!!! That was one of the bad things about being in a work cycle for the wayfarers. You were constantly moving and had to keep the lowest profile you could possibly manage, so you ended up having those heat-em-up meals.

Blech.

As Kofleur started to look hungrily at the rather delicious looking appetizer menu a pair of bobbing ears caught her eye. "Finally!" She thought, "Tei is here." Normally it was Tei that got to places first when they decided to meet up but Kofleur had been lucky this time. She had already been on Earth when Laryn and Sacura called over the comms. She returned to her menu as Teisha sat down at a seat next to her. "So" Kofleur began, "Anything new Tei?"

Teisha took a minute to respond, like always, thinking through her answer. But soon she replied with a rather blunt "No, nothing of importance." Kofleur sighed and returned to her menu discussing with Teisha the possible meal choices for their first meal of their vacation. Although after a short while Kofleur spotted Laryn approaching and she waved him over. Laryn quickly sat down opposite of Teisha and next to Kofleur and buried himself in the menu. Kofleur frowned, recognizing this as a Laryn bad mood. "So" she said trailing off slightly "How's the arm?" She asked. "No better" Came the cutting response. To that, Kofleur sighed "You really shouldn't push it! That could put its healing back for we don't know how long!"

"I know that!" Said Laryn dropping his menu onto the table in disgust. "But I can't sit and just let it be! I gotta check on it, see how it's coming along! Anyway. This is vacation, and not time to worry about stuff like that. Let's order some appetizers while we wait for Cura. I need some good food."

"Right!" Came Kofleur's response. So she wasn't the only one the lame food was getting to eh? Although, come to think of it, wouldn't Laryn be more used to the crappy food? He'd been a Wayfarer much longer than her. Heck, he STARTED the Wayfarers. Just as soon as Kofleur was about to ask, the waiter came by their table with a rather delicious looking antipasto salad. So Kofleur busied herself looking it up in the menu.

Romahi was the same as Sacura had remembered. She had grown up in this city, but hadn't visited in more than two years. In fact, she had done everything she could to avoid coming back here. While she loved this city, there had been a good reason she had avoided this place for that long. A very good reason. Her anger, however, had also greatly clouded her judgment. She was still ablaze inside. That man had been extremely unlikeable. He had taunted her friends, then attacked her for her race. It was funny. She had been born as a pure blood human, or so she had thought, but she had been forced into this beast form two years ago. She now knew how to change from her human form to her beast for, which was extremely useful for disguise, she had now become more fond of her beast form than her human form, and she had come to think of herself as more a beast than a human. And now her beast blood had reached a boil. She had never been so happy with her job until now.

As she walked through the streets of the capital city, she spied three familiar faces sitting in an outdoor cafe. Finally, she had found them. She walked up to them and plopped herself down in a chair, a look of disgust still on her face. Even still, she was happy to see them. It had been awhile, that was for sure. Laryn's arm didn't look any better, Tei looked as shy as ever, and Ko... Ko just looked like Ko. She had cut her hair short recently for the sake of a disguise, but she knew that she still looked a lot like always. Better than she had after she had fought Chronos, that was for sure. She looked around at group again, then said, "Laryn, did you invite that person you said you had worked with? Althy-something?"

By the sudden mention of her name, the girl by the name of Althya popped up from behind a nearby decorative bush. She was still dressed in dark, tightly fitting clothing, a dark smudge of something unknown on her cheek; it seemed that she had been doing a mission of some sort. A few quick steps around and she was now silently standing next to Laryn and a girl unknown to her. Giving a welcoming smile she clasped her hands together and gave a quick bow in greetings, though, she said nothing. Raising her head, it could be quite obviously seen by the others that she was unsure of whether to join the group. From the looks of it, all four were very close from previous encounters and Althya, she was an outsider.

An audible growl and the girl blushed. It was from her stomach, but even so, she continued to stand. It would be rude without invitation she thought.

Laryn turned to Cura listening. "Oh, yeah. Althya. I didn't give her the memo but I might as well now..." And as soon as he began to turn to take out his phone, there she was. Laryn in understandable confusion spun around at her. "What the hell were you doing there! I was just about to give you a call, but I guess I don't really have to, do I?" He finished looking back up at the clouds, waiting for their waiter to come around. "Oh, yeah. You haven't met everyone yet, have you? This is Sacura, Teisha, and Kofleur" Laryn indicated each with a point of his finger as he circled the table. Suddenly noticing she was still standing Laryn reached backwards and suddenly the table behind them became a table for three, even though there were four settings. He brought the chair up between him and Cura and moved his own chair over (Which is more difficult than you think with one arm) to give her room to sit down. "So I still have one question for you." Laryn began "What the hell WERE you doing there?"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Teisha sat quietly as she was introduced to Althya. She seemed to be a nice person, Laryn had said positive things about her work to them. Granted his compliments sounded like "She didn't get herself shot" but they were compliments nonetheless. Anyway, this was the first time she'd really been able to see Cura in a while so she couldn't miss this oppertunity to talk with her. "So, Cura" She began, "How's everything been with you?"

"Done and done," declared Nicholas as he reclined on his office chair, stretching his arms. "Teleportation protocols complete." He rotated on his chair to face Elsa and MAGNUS on the other side of the 'lab', as Elsa like to refer it. "Elsa, can you please?" he requested, pushing up his glasses.

Elsa smiled. "Aye aye, captain," she answered as she typed in a few keys. Elsa and Nicholas focused their attention to the four gaps that appeared in the floor and ceiling around a spare docking bay when those sections of the room retracted. Four objects that looked like thin pillars rose from the ground, and at the same time identical structures appeared from the roof, and descended until they locked into place with the grounded pillars. A glass casing rose from the ground, containing the devices. Within moments, the pillars lit up with a blue energy, which then jumped to the pillar to its left. In a second, the energy jumped to the next pillar, and in half a second it jumped to the one after that one. This cycle repeated itself until the energy appeared to have formed a cylindrical vortex of sorts. After 10 seconds, a pulse of light caused the energy to subside. The glass casing, which just had a crack in it, also retracted, followed by the pillars. The teleportation of the CHEsuit was complete.

Despite being the 'father' of the CHEsuits, Nicholas still couldn't help but be in at least the slightest awe of his creations. The 15 foot black-and-red titan has a torso-cockpit shaped like a gondola lift, two powerful arms attached to the sides of the machine via two orb-shaped shoulders and on the bottom of the cockpit, two legs easily support the structure. Five prongs at the end of each leg form the feet. To deal with conventional warfare, it is equipped with a rapid-fire photon turret mounted on either side of the cockpit and two larger, slower but more powerful photon turrets on the top. In the event of a more powerful adversary, the CHEsuit boasted two forearm-mounted photon blades, if the arms alone aren't enough. On the surface, the CHEsuit looked good as new.

Elsa got up and climbed the steps of the docking bay, which brought her to the torso of the CHEsuit. MAGNUS tried to follow, but its wheel configuration prevented it from climbing stairs. "Doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it," she reported as she walked around it.

"Hold on a sec." Nick pressed the sides of his glasses and repeated Elsa's actions, but this time at the base of the behemoth. After two revolutions around the CHEsuit, he climbed up the sides of the mechanical creature and pressed his finger against a panel of black that stood out slightly. He removed his finger, and the cockpit opened up, revealling a chair, a helmet, two circular pedals, two gloves that could reach up the forearm and a computer terminal that was built on top of the battery of the system.

As soon as Nick sat in the chair, he felt a wave of nostalgia and serenity run over him. It only felt like yesterday when he made the prototype of this suit and was running around in it. The design, over the years, had rapidly evolved. Even though this was not entirely his doing, he still felt proud. He had never been closer to his creations. Walking with them, exploring with them, feeling them; these sensations came running back to the old days of maintenance work. But now, they were mere shields; tools that exist only to take all of the hits that the enemy could dish out. He put his hand on the glove and closed his eyes. He could feel the CHEsuit. He could see its heart. He could see its pain, but he could see its happiness.

"Mr. Taylor, have you found anything?" Elsa brought him out of his reverie.

"Uh, no I haven't. Give me a few more moments," came the response. Truth be told, there wasn't anything wrong with the suit at first glance. The suit was in prime condition and he couldn't find any cosmetic damage (leaving aside small bits of dust, but that's normal). Using his glasses, he inspected the circuitry. Everything was normal as far as he could see. The interfaces were configured correctly and the battery was still fully functional with plenty of power flowing through it. The terminal was also- wait; what the hell was that?

"Elsa," he started, voice uncertain, "why is there a chocolate wrapper in the circuitry?

Elsa, obviously, was caught off-guard. "Uh... I dunno. Gimme a sec, I'll get the screwdriver." She climbed down the stairs to get the tool, but MAGNUS was before her, holding out a strange device with a surprisingly large handle. Elsa smiled. "Thank you, MAGNUS." She took the device from the Navi and walked back to the CHEsuit. "Um, Mr. Taylor? Since you said I could help with fixing, could I do this step?"

Nick looked down at Elsa, surprised by her inquiry. "Sure, why not?" he said, getting out of the CHEsuit. Estatic, Elsa climbed in and got to work. Nick walked down the stairs, stopping when he got before MAGNUS. "Someone's gonna trip over you. You know that, right?" Nick picked up MAGNUS, who beeped happily, and carried it with him to the computer. He set MAGNUS beside him on the desk, sat down in the chair and started by accessing his emails. There was a new one. He was going to delete it, but then he discovered that the sender was none other than one of the Colonels at the Solar Alliance military. With that, he opened the email and began reading...

Even though she was happy to be next to her best friend for the first time in awhile, the question still made her scowl. She barked the response, "Fine until today." After a second, she calmed down enough to add, "But not from this. It really is nice to see everyone again." She smiled briefly at her friend before addressing the group. "If any of you ever meet a man by the name of Gabriel 'Zero' Angel, make sure you beat the crap out of the him. I was just at Silver's house earlier, and when I came out, this guy talked to me. He called Silver a fraud and a sham and me a filthy beast. I think we owe him something from good old Silver." Under he breath, she muttered, "Who's that arrogant prick to call anyone a fake, let alone Silver. He must be a real idiot to can someone a fake in front of one of his oldest friends. If I ever get my hands on him again, I'll..." She trailed off. She turned to Tei, a strange half smile on her face. "Looks like he got to me more than I thought he had," she said ruefully, then continued, "So, how have you been, Tei?"

On Venus, a man in the bounty offices sneezed loudly. Gabriel "Zero" Angel, or Gabe as most of his friends called him (in total, one), had wandered in to look at what bounties were best for him nab before he looked for more mercenary work. The office in Venus didn't have as many as a planet like, say, Omic, but there were enough for someone to make some good money on them. The clerk of the store was sleeping in a chair lazily, snores penetrating the air every so often. Well, Gabe had to talk to the man, so the snoring didn't last for long. Gabe went to the sleeping man, rang the bell on the counter, and said, "Excuse me, sir, can I have more information on the man Brauhn?" The clerk, now awake, boomed in his low voice, "M'afraid you're too late for that one, m'boy. Silverose took care of that one two years ago, as I recall. We didn't really need this office while they were around. I miss the good ol' days. He was such a good lad, always helpin' wherever he had to to make this planet better. I remember this one time- Where are you going, m'boy?" Gabe had stalked out of the office, anger flaring again. Was everyone on this damn planet part of the Church of Ash Gibbs? Sure, this might have been his home planet, but was it really necessary to revere the ground that the little bastard had walked on? He was as phony as a three dollar bill, in Gabe's opinion. There was no way any man could do what the video tapes had showed, and that was precious little. The live video feed had been recorded and was shown in theaters as much as any movie, but it didn't show most of the battle. It showed the beginning, in which Gibbs and Chronos engaged in hand to hand combat. Then the screen suddenly went white, and nothing could be seen until the end, where Chronos shoots a ball of some energy at Gibbs, who fires a massive energy beam from his gun that destroyed the ball and Chronos along with it. But that blast had supposedly been only a huge mass of M-Photons. There was no way that could be true. People could only use one type of M-Photon. To do that, he had to be able to use all of them. And no one could do that. No one. Gibbs was a filthy liar, and Gabe would do whatever it took to expose him.

Taking the chair provided for her, Althya still could not help but feel a bit out. Though she was well informed of what had happened two years ago during the battle against Chronos, there was always something more that had happened that was never to be share. Another smile was given, a message without words. It was a sweet and open smile that hopefully be read by the others as 'I hope we can all get along' or 'It is very nice meeting you' something of that sort.

The question from Laryn didn't entirely catch her off her guard though, it did not mean she had the greatest answer prepared for him. Twiddling her thumbs a bit while catching a few words of conversation from the others she offered a single word; the only word she has spoken while in the company.

"Sleeping" she said with all honesty. Though, that did not explain her bruised appearance.

Althya, had, of course and totally by chance, been sleeping behind that decorative bush and was awoken by the mention of her name. The events previous to this were a bit darker then just sleeping. A job; pick up package, stroll through city, be intercepted, fist fight a bit, dash to destination, get payed. Nothing quite out of the ordinary, just nothing that needed to be mentioned.

Venus was like Atlis had expected, a virtual paradise full of sunlight and beaches, but those weren't what he came for. His mind awry The bounty hunter bumped past a silver-haired human on his way into the bounty office. "Excuse me sir." He called, the clerk, still sore about his previous visitor stalking out glanced up harshly from his futile attempt to sleep and straightened up to meet with his new client. "You looking for bounties i assume?" He replied "Drop off your name and rank, i don't want to give out some tough job to a newbie.", Atlis nodded "Getting a ton of pranksters in these parts?" He replied sliding his ID over for the man to inspect.

"Like you couldn't believe," The man inspected the card with a practical eye as he answered, then minor shock as he read the name "Look's like you're the real thing Mr. Enless" He slid the card back, a respectful gleam in his eye as he brought out the holologs. On it, listed every known criminal and their status ranging from At large, Captured, Escaped, and Deceased. Atlis peered closely at the listing, intent of finding a large bounty close by.

Laryn looked at her skeptically as she said "Sleeping." Really? Was that what she was doing? Did she really not have the money right now to get a hotel room? Granted, their job didn't have any steady income as most of their profits were from things... borrowed from the houses that they hit. Guess she hadn't gotten any good ones recently. But still, it hardly was worth sleeping in a bush. Laryn looked back at the table and then back up saying "Riight... Okay then."

But something was bugging him. This boy that Cura mentioned. Who the hell did he think he was. Calling beasts as garbage and demeaning Silver like that. Laryn wished he could see that boys pretty face so he could mess it up good. What right did he have to say things like that. He sounded just like those HF b***ards, Ignorant buffons. Maybe he had never worked an honest day in his life, but at least SOME people benefitted from his actions. He didn't spend his days torturing people. Suddenly he had understood why Cura was having a bad day. "So, where to from here? Anybody got anyplace they want to go?" While during work often the Wayfarers were split up, for the sake of more ears in more spots, LAryn tried to keep them relatively together (At least on the same planet) during vacations. Because while some work was independant you still had to get along with the others for the orginization to run smoothly. There was no room for vendettas. Suddenly Laryn reached behind him and litterally grabbed a passing waiter. "Hey, buddy. Mind? I'll have a Dr. Pepper." To which Kofleur soon echoed.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Teisha looked at her friend and smiled a little. "Well, I'm sorry to hear about your day, Cura. On my end there hasn't been much talk though. Its been pretty uneventful. I have been on Endro for a while now so there's not much to hear there. I just figured that I might hear things about other planets or such as it is such a big city. I had forgotten how big it was!" After Teisha said that, out of the corner of her eye she saw Kofleur turn away and look up at the sky in some random direction. "Ko, are you okay?" To which she replied "Yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking about it. Feels like you can't even see the sky, right?"

"So she is fine" Thought Teisha. That is Typical Kofleur thinking. However at that moment she saw Laryn rather forcefuly grab a passing waiter and drag him over to the table. And without even giving the waiter a chance to speak Laryn was getting a drink. And just as quickly, Kofleur had ordered, leaving it to her. "Sorry, She said "For dragging you over here like this. I'll also have a Dr. Pepper."

"Joey!!!" The voice crackled loudly over the really cheap head set Johana was wearing. Instinctively, she grabbed at it to move it away from her ear drum.

"What!?" She hissed back into the mouth piece. But before she could get an answer, Joey spotted a guest wandering into a restricted area. "Excuse me Ma'am." She called after jogging a few paces. "I'm sorry but that area is restricted." Joey popped off her sun glasses so she didn't seem rude. The lady was middle aged with a dress that was way too tight and too much make up. She seemed harmless, just most likely drunk and confused. "Would you like someone to escort you to your cabin?" Some where in Joey's pocket there was a muffled "Moooeyy!" from the head set she had hurriedly stored.

"Oh- oh dear." the woman looked around sheepishly, "I can't seem to him my husband." Joey smiled politely; she could feel the sound vibrations in her pocket.

"That's fine." She said reassuringly. "I'll just..." she trailed off scanning the large ballroom, quickly spotting the correct person she shouted.”Dave!" Joey waved and the fellow security guard wandered over.

"Something wrong?" He asked a bit more seriously than the situation required.

"Can you take over for me? She needs to find her husband, and there is an emergency at the bar." Joey really left him no choice as she spoke these words while jogging in the opposite direction. "Thanks!" she shouted back. When she was out of range of Dave’s voice, she slowed and replaced her head set. "I'm coming Lu."

"Thank god..."

Joey managed to skirt her way through the dark ballroom and into the kitchen doors, apologizing to costumers as she went. They were mostly knocking into her as they attempted to dance, but they were all very drunk and didn't seem to notice. Once through the kitchen doors, Joey whipped off her jacket and sunglasses, tossing them onto a near counter. "Kay, what’s going on?" She shouted to the general mass of people in the kitchen. Most ignored her or looked around confused. The majorities were foreign and probably didn't even know what she said. At that moment Lu, a short young woman with dark hair, burst through the double swinging doors and into Joey's arms. The fractured sobs eventually made a story that described her terrible first experience as a bar tended about 15 minuets ago. Joey had been assigned as her mentor for the week during her trial period. Joey shook her shoulders a little to make her focus, they'd already wasted ten minuets on this.

"Lu, its fine. We have janitors and fire extinguishers to fix that stuff. Right now you need to get back out there, look cute, and give they rich people more alcohol. Kay?" Lu nodded still crying, and Joey pushed her out the door into the bar area. Immediately they were both bombarded with orders and questions.

After that point the night went smooth, at about four in the morning the light came on and the last partiers were moved to their rooms. Joey helped stack the folding chairs and roll the large round table back into the closets. The ballroom was a mess. Plastic cups and plate were everywhere, a few shoes and hats were tucked in corners, and Joey saw what she could only assume were "bodily fluids" soaking into the carpet. Luckily, the clean up was not really her job. She was officially off duty a half hour ago, but she felt bad ditching some of her friends on clean up crew. Finally though, she called it quits. With her jacket wrapped over her shoulders like a shawl and her sunglasses propping up the hair that had escaped her hair tie, Joey wandered her way back to her cabin. She would have to wake up tomorrow night to do this all again anyway.

That was basically her life on Lux Beta inter galactic pleasure cruises. It had been interesting for the first few years, but she'd seen it all now. It was becoming mundane. The people, the places, the vomit... She knew she needed a change; Joey just still wasn't sure what.

Why are they still after me?! Maiko thought frantically as she ran down the darkening alleyways. In the sky, the sun's light was beginning to diminish, and a reddish hue hung over the horizon, while upwards it was a dark blue. But of course, with two fellow androids chasing her down, Maiko hardly had time to admire the beauty of the sinking day.
Androids had been trying to track her down for months now; she had thought she'd been safe when LCA had been destroyed, but now some organisation was trying to hunt her down again, whether it was an LCA remnant or a new group, Maiko hardly knew.
Finally, the alley came to a very high--and very dead end--wall. Turning around, Maiko saw the two androids closing on her slowly, preparing powerful photon weapons and smiling as if this gave them an advantage here. They clearly knew nothing of Maiko, or they would know two things. One, their weapons were absolutely useless and two, they should just give up right now.
"You're finished, M-1.9.11.15," one android spat out Maiko's 'original name' labelled to her when she had been a project by the LCA. "Now come quietly, and we--"
The words did not leave the android's mouth. Maiko had appeared to disappear. The two androids glanced around, bewildered. One looked up just in time to see Maiko's shoe implant itself in his face with immense force. The android crumpled without another word.
The other stared at Maiko, his jaw falling open, but he clearly had not taken the message. He pointed a large gun straight at Maiko's face, and fired. The projectile hit the wall behind where Maiko had been a second ago, and then the android fell to the ground as the side of Maiko's hand smashed into his neck.
Maiko sighed, looking at the two androids crumpled to the ground, and began to walk away.

Calling after the waiter, Sacura added, "I'll have one too, please!" She looked around at her fellow teammates again. It was nice to be with them again, even the newbie. She seemed like a nice person, but she was quite to the extreme. If she hadn't sad "Sleeping" earlier, Sacura might have thought she was a mute. But if Laryn had Ok'd her, she had to have some skills. That was just Laryn's way. if he didn't think you could do something, he'd tell you. No frills, no ribbons, he'd just outright say, "No, you can't do that" in the rude sort of way only he could manage. This gruff exterior hid a good heart, but not too many people got past the gruffness. Outside the former Team Silverose and the other current Wayfarers, she wasn't sure there were any at all who thought of him well. Especially not groups like Human's First.

Human's First was really the only remaining racial terrorist group, luckily. Well, okay, maybe that wasn't the right word. HF was likely the worst of all the former racial terrorists, which was saying something, considering the others. While she had never come into direct contact with either LCA or the Mova Sona, she had been more than acquainted with the Hand of Nam. In fact, that group had but a bounty on her and her entire family's head. Teisha had had one too, not nearly as large, but big enough for there to be many assassination attempts and an outright war here in Romahi. It had been her, Tei, S-9, her personal gang of friends from the city, and a royal guard named Seth who had ended up fighting the leader of the Hand at the Royal Palace. The giant man had simply been known as boss, and it had taken every single one of them to take him down. He had been incredibly strong, that was for sure, strong enough that Chronos formed an alliance with him rather than fight against him. She was glad he was never coming back.

Suddenly overwhelmed by a stream of memories of the city, she shook her head slowly. There were sure a lot of sad memories of this city, and Sacura suddenly didn't want to stay here any more. She turned to her boss. "Hey, Laryn, I think we should take an official week long vacation as a group somewhere. That way we can catch up some more and get some good rest. What do you think?"

Laryn looked up at Cura, now resigned from figuring out why Althya was hiding in the bush. "Yeah, sounds good. It's sure been a while." But as he finished speaking, his phone began to ring, as if conspiring to destroy this vacation. Well, to be more precise, one of his phones rang. Laryn was really loaded up with phones and crap. He had his normal cell phone which the Wayfarers and Althya knew the number to, he had his team Silverose comm and he had the phone that rang. That phone was bad news. It was his phone that he did his... dealings with. Without a word Laryn rose and walked a short distance away from the table, opening the phone. "What now?" He said gruffly. though really the question he was asking was who's calling. In response came a female voice. "I'm only telling you this because I owe you one. Got it?"

"Doubtful" he replied. "What do you want Farin?" To which there was a short pause and a sigh. "It's true isn't it? You take nothing at face value." To that she expected a reply but Laryn remained quiet. "Alright. The remnants of the LCA have been acting up recently and are currently on the move here on Endro. Just thought yo might like to know that. You don't take a liking to them."

Laryn paused for a minute before responding. "And neither do you. If they knew about your chop-shop business the'd make you PE numero uno. That's your angle for it. But lucky for you, you're right, I don't like them either. But I ain't gonna be your little bouncer. There's gonna be nothing left of m' when I get through and if one of your cronies is there to I WILL kill them. So I advise you hold back. Oh, and don't even think of calling us even. Actually it seems you owe me more. I'm doing you another favor, aren't I?" With that and amidst Farin's objections Laryn closed the phone. Da*n LCA. Their freaking head was ct off but the arms stll wanted to fight. Well, he couldn't pass up the chance to at least cut a few more fingers off. However, since it WAS Farin there might be someone watching, so he couldn't send anyone else. Looked liek his vacation was gonna start a little late. He turned and walked back to the table with everyone. "Sorry, I'll call you later and find out where you guys went. See ya." Abruptly he tured and began walking toward the teleporter to Endro.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kofleur objected as Laryn began to walk away "Where do you think you're going!? HEY!! We're on vacation!!" But as she expected he didn't even turn around. He could be so frustrating at times like that. She knew what he used that phone for, she had been around him long enough to recognise when he was talking to one of his... business partners. Why did he even put up with them? Couldn't they get along without having to deal with these people? And it was always just him that dealt with them. Well, she could understand why, but still... what if he got in over his head? Well, no time to worry about that now. She looked back up at the people sitting around the table and smiled. "He'll catch up. Let's start thinking about where to go!"

Poor waiter... Althya though, though her face did not give away any bit of emotion, a neutral smile still on her face.

These people were friendly, that could not be denied, but it was not easy to sit comfortably in company which all but you are closely acquainted with. It would seem that her silence had even spooked the others a bit, but that could not be helped. Althya simply did not like to speak. It is not because she is shy of what she says, nor is it because she dislikes her voice. She truly believed that through unnecessary speech, so many things could be misinterpreted; lies and drama which could have been avoided. The black haired girl nods to herself; silent communication through body language and expressions are best. (In her opinion of course)

Her thoughts were just pondering the words "feels like you can't even see the sky," when the ringing of a phone disturbed her. The thought of a job were instantly in her mind, but continued to sit quietly as the other conversed around her. As Laryn took his leave, she suddenly felt very alone. The thought of talking was frightening....

Perhaps I should follow, he may need help...But no...he would not help would he? I-I don't know what to do now... Her face twisted a bit into a grimace, and she sunk in her chair with obvious confusion.

This fit of confusion was sustained for several moments before Althya burst out of her chair, trotting to catch up with Layrn's receding figure.

To be completely honest, Elsa was worried for Nicholas. He received an email a while ago from a high-ranking military officer from the Solar Alliance informing him of an ex-Humans First member on Venus by the name of 'Gabriel Angel'. The email went further, asking Nick personally to go looking for him. Why they asked was beyond Elsa. Nick wasn't the type of person to go to other planets, especially if he would be there for, at most, a day before returning. They should know this.

And yet, here he was; gearing up his CHEsuit that he had for emergencies and getting ready to go. With the helmet on, he was in the cockpit testing the gloves. So far, all systems were A-OK.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Elsa asked. "You don't have to go. The Venus division of the SA military can take on Gabriel."

Nick bend his neck back a bit to twist it and get rid of cricks. "I've been down here for a long time, Elsa. I want to take a walk. It's been forever since I've been up on the surface and even longer since I've visited Venus. I want to go. I'm too cramped here."

Was that it? Did Nick simply want a change of scenery? Well, Elsa could definately tell how his life could become 'meh' very quickly. If it weren't for her doing his shopping, he probably would have been even further behind schedule with his works. But he had shields to make. So why did he feel it necessary to go all the way to Venus? What was wrong with being on Earth?

Nick walked over to a spare space in the docking bay. "Elsa, if you would activate the teleporter, please?" he asked before he lowered the cockpit lid.

Elsa shared a worried glance with MAGNUS before sighing. "Sure." She walked over to her computer and input a few commands. The eight pillars rose and fell from the ground and ceiling to surround and cage in Nick and his CHEsuit. A glass casing also rose up from the ground to contain any possible energy bursts. Elsa hesitated for a few moments before inputting the teleportation destination. Within moments, the pillars lit up with energy. The energy jumped to the pillar next to it, and then it jumped to the next one, and again and again until a pseudo-veil concealed Nick's CHEsuit from view.

And with one final burst, he was gone.

Elsa sighed and looked at MAGNUS. Even though she couldn't stop him, she wasn't going to dwell on that. "Well, we're all alone. Wanna go outside? I'm hungry for some lunch." MAGNUS made a single happy beep, which Elsa took as a 'yes'. "Alrighty then. Let me just set the security protocols..." After typing in a few commands on the keyboard, several turrets appeared from the roof and ground. "... and we're clear. Okay MAGNUS, let's get a move on."

MAGNUS gave another happy beep as Elsa pciked it up and walked to the elevator, intent on going to a restaurant.

Maiko's eyes scanned over the pages in her hands. They were files concerning the LCA; files she had long been keeping, but had never really looked at, thinking the LCA to be dead.
Clearly, they weren't. Either the LCA had not been fully destroyed after she escaped from them, or some other unknown Navi organisation was after her. Either way, she was once again a fugitive, once again on the run from 'her own kind'--though Maiko had long abandoned her android identity, given that she looked exactly like a human.
Unfortunately, the files had little of use to her concerning whether it was the LCA who was after her: it had the usual information of how the LCA was an organisation of androids who had been destroyed by the Beast Liberation Front's Hand of Nam--that is, supposedly destroyed, Maiko thought to herself with a sigh. She did believe it was the remnants of the LCA hunting her down--no one else would have had any information on her. All files pertaining to what the LCA had called "Project
M-1.9.11.15" were here with Maiko herself, and she had destroyed the only other copy herself.
If the LCA has re-formed and is after me again, I can't do anything alone... she thought to herself. She was sitting in a small cafe on Endro, where the LCA seemed to be keeping their base of operations.

A flash of light appeared on the outskirts of Landium, which faded away to reveal a CHEsuit. Nicholas believed that he got lucky this time around to teleport into a forest (at least, he thought it was a forest) out of sight of everyone else, but Nick, being his worst critic, told himself that he was going to have to get into the sights of civilians sooner or later. Right now, since he was under cover, he might as well connect to the satellites. Using the helmet, he began a link establishment with the satellites of Venus. An easy task; not a lot happens on Venus compared to Mars and Earth, so the data should be smaller.

So, having nothing else to do, Nick looked around.

The specially made glass cockpit allowed clear vision of the shrubbery around him. It was by sheer coincidence that the helmet also protected the user's identity, which is something a young cadet pointed out (Nick treated them to lunch, afterwards), so the design hadn't changed much over the years. But the sense receptors had only gotten better. Nick reached out for the leaves on a palm tree and stroked them gently. This tree was young, he could tell. The leaves were fresh and full of life. Memories of his childhood rushed to his mind...

Oh, how he longed for those days again...

With a sigh, Nicholas forced himself out of his daydream when he discovered that the satellite synch was complete. He had clear access to the information in the satellite, so he would use these first to search for Gabriel. The human mind is an amazing computer, with so much processing power. Nick realised this, so he fed images into his mind at rapid speeds for about ten minutes. These images were footage security cameras, speed cameras and other cameras that the police use for surveillance on the streets and in buildings. Chemicals were also injected into the brain to relax it and prevent the stress of information overload. He went through all of the images until he found several taken recently of Gabriel. The credibility was a bit tentative, though: the clearest shot he could find was one taken five minutes ago. Where on Earth- Venus, sorry- would Gabriel be?

"Oh well," Nick muttered to himself, making sure to keep the external speakers off. "I'll just go there."

Hopefully, Nick would find him as he walked towards the intersection where the image was taken, about one and a quarter klicks from where he was now.

As Laryn walked he thought to himself. LCA huh, what could they want right now. They're so crippled. There's no way that they could have recovered so fast. But as he started to think he became aware of footsteps pacing themselves with his own. He whipped around to see the owner of those feet and was relatively surprised to see Althya standing there. "What are you doing!" He hissed tensely. "I told you specifically to go on without me. You shouldn't be following me. I will catch up, but I am doing this alone."

Laryn was relatively angry that she had followed him. While she was the only one that could not be traced directly back to him and therefore made it the safest bet to bring with him, she still was in the way. There was no need for anyone else, and more people could only get more in the way. "I'll finish his up and meet up with you guys. Go back to those three and stay with them. LEave me be."

Uttering those final words Laryn reached the teleporter to Endro and stepped inside. Surprisingly there hadn't even been a line for the teleporter and he made it over there quickly. Exiting the teleporter onto Endro, Laryn took stock of his suroundings. Those tall buildings were ever the same, weren't they. He walked forward among the cluttered streets and started making his way toward the center of town. Where was the LCA hiding? He knew of a few of their little pockets that were left, but he never had the means to go about getting rid of them. If he simply went around taking people out his... reputation with certain people would suffer. Mentally making a map of the city he guessed which one it was that Farin had been talking about. It was a street cafe that the LCA used as a cover. It was so easy to do that here on Endro with all of the tall buildings. People never knew how many floors of the building you owned.

Setting his course for the cafe Laryn shoved his way through the sea of bodies clotting the streets.

And where was Gabriel? Sitting on a bench in the park, on the line with his only friend, Micheal. The look on his face didn't say anything good. "What do you mean, Mike? Why is no one taking jobs from me?"

"I told you Gabe. Word is out that the Solar Empire is looking for you. Nobody really knows why, but they sent someone out to get you."

"But you have some ideas on why, I'm sure. It wouldn't be like you not to."

"Well, alright, I have some ideas, but I'm not 100%. From all the sources I have, it looks like they want you to do a job. I can't tell you what, but... It's the best I got. You wanna stick around and find out?"

"Hehe... Not really. I'll hit the road. See if you can't pick up anything else on this."

"Will do, Gabe. Mike, over and out."

Gabe shut of the communicator quickly as he got up and started to move. Mike was right. Until he knew what the SE wanted, it was too chancy to stay in one place too long. He was afraid that what they actually wanted might not be as benign as just a job. He had done some jobs that weren't exactly in their favor, and he was also a former Humans First member. That might even have been the main reason they were after him. While he had quit HF, that didn't mean he necessarily disagreed with them. He thought that Beasts were all less than human, to be treated as slaves and servants. That they put themselves on an equal table as humans was disgusting. He had quit, however, because he had only felt that way about beasts. Navis and Mavos were human in his book of feelings. Only beasts deserved hatred and contempt. And even then, he hadn't felt they deserved the eradication that HF had planned for all the races. Nothing could have.

While these thoughts buzzed around in his head, something in the distance caught his eye and he ducked into some form of cover, a ditch as it turned out. What he had seem was big, and roughly human shape, but it was like nothing he had ever seen. Was it a new weapon or something? Maybe a new technology? Whatever it was, it was new. And he didn't want to get near it. He slowly drew his guns from their holsters, wondering if such small arms could even do much to hurt it.

Re: [OOC] Silverose

Chari, I think I should tell you that Nick's still asleep. Also, I doubt that eight hours have passed since the mission began.

Re: [OOC] Silverose

Sorry I didn't post yet, I just got mass effect and got a little addicted. The post will probably be pretty long, so hopefully I can have it up late tomorrow (today?) or sometime on tuesday.

Edit: Okay, correction. I didn't expect to get sick, so I didn't get it done yesterday or today. Tomorrow, however, I have to classes, and if I don't, well, bug me til I do.

Re: [OOC] Silverose

Ugh, sorry. I have REALLY been in the mood for writing lately! So I have decided to exert this on my posting! Good idea, right?

In theory, yes.

Except now randomly I have put up a possay, a post/essay hybrid that is way longer than it should probably have been. Well, sorry for making you guys read through the 1200 words I posted. But it is better than not writing anything at all, isn't it!? :D

Re: [OOC] Silverose

Yeah, I felt obliged to make a really long post to make up for some lost time :P

Re: [OOC] Silverose

S'all right. Now, let's get this show on the road!

Re: [OOC] Silverose

Yeah, we really have. I have actually been planning of doing that RP for about a year now, since it was my first RP I ever posted on RPG, that was really popular, then died since I was not prepared enough.

So don't worry, we didn't abandon you :D

Re: [OOC] Silverose

No, my and light have been bugging snake for about a month to post. He just didn't until now...

Re: [OOC] Silverose

Oh thank you, Snake. I was wondering where you guys all went and it turns out you jumped to some other RP! I am disappointed.

Re: [OOC] Silverose

It is me, and I know it. I have had a lot of stuff to do, but I will post when I can, hopefully tonight or tomorrow.

Re: [OOC] Silverose

Um, whose turn is it?

Re: [OOC] Silverose

That's great to hear, Flash.

Re: [OOC] Silverose

Thx

I ended up getting power back exactly 24 hrs before I moved into college, so I didn't have a chance to post then, but now I am all moved in and orientation is over, so I will try to post tomorr...

err... later today.

Re: [OOC] Silverose

That's horrible to hear, Flash. I really hope all goes well for you in the future.

Re: [OOC] Silverose

Hey guys, my town got smashed by the hurricane so I don't have power, and therefore, no internet. Only getting on right now at a town agency. So I will not be on. I will be back when I can, but until then, leve me to wait it out in the dark.

:(

Re: [OOC] Silverose

Okay, I was just wondering because I have posted a LOT.

Re: [OOC] Silverose

No...? I was just making sure that things don't stall. Gabe can run her mouth at the other Gabe as much as you want.

Re: [OOC] Silverose

Should I start shutting up?

Re: [OOC] Silverose

Sorry for not getting this going guys, I have been on vacation for a week or so. When I get back tomorrow, I will try to put things in motion.

Re: [OOC] Silverose

I'm fine for whenever we decide to jump to the next day.

Re: [OOC] Silverose

Sorry it took me so utterly long to post.... I kinda forgot about this a bit... :( but I'm back! Okay!

Let the story go on!
