Personality Chase is a girl who is sweet and down to earth. She loves to see people smile and she will do anything to do that, she's fairly selfless and most times she thinks more about others than herself. She always puts the people she cares about before herself because they matter most to her and she can't stand to see people upset and miserable, she will always throw compliments to people, in hopes of lifting their mood up for the day because nothing would mean more to her, she really hates when people talk about committing suicide and she wants people to know she will be there for them no matter what they say or do, she's that loyal.

Even though, Chase is one to protect people, and she can fight and shoot a gun, she actually is very clumsy, and always has a habit of breaking something by accident and when she does her cheeks get very flushed and grow different shades of red, because she can get embarrassed easily. She'll even trip over her own feet sometimes, and this trait gets even worse when she's around a guy she likes. Speaking of cute guys or guys she likes, she can get nervous easily and uneasy and unsure of what to do, she'll end up stumbling over her words and being the biggest hazard known. She can't help it either. She'll say the wrong thing easily in front of a guy she likes, she's not normally very smooth at talking to guys.

Lastly, Chase is almost always trying to crack jokes, she may not always be good at it, but she likes to joke around with people, and tease them. She has fun doing it and she really does like putting a smile on other people's faces. Chase is a very friendly person and very charismatic, she can talk to lots of different people with no problems, well, unless you're a cute guy or the guy that she likes, then she might have a problem with it. Other than that she likes to meet new people and she's good at helping people get around the area.
History Chase was born to, Ivy and Mark Simpson. Her mother was a human meanwhile her father was a Moroi. Her mother had met him randomly one day, and they were friends for a long time, Mark never told her what he was, mostly to keep her safe from anything that could harm her, although when they started dating he felt bad lying to her but he didn't know what else to do. Eventually once they were partners and engaged he told her. He wasn't sure if he should marry her or not but knew if he gave her no reason as to why they couldn't be married then he'd be stuck with it.

After a month or two, Ivy found out she was pregnant with Mark's child. Mark stayed with her but they had to hold off their wedding. Which Mark was alright with. He took care of his wife and never left her side, he tried to get her to move over to America but she wouldn't move. He just wanted to keep her and his baby safe. She was stubborn though and she wouldn't budge. Eventually she had the baby, and they decided to name her Chase, mostly because Mark was expecting a son but they ended up with a daughter, although Chase was a name that could be used for either or so Ivy was alright with the name.

When Chase was the age of six years old, after living with her parents for so long, a horrible tragedy happened, her mother had been out walking, Mark had been at work. Chase was home alone but knew her mother wasn't far. Eventually Chase had heard screams and she looked out the window and she could see way off in the distance that these things were attacking her mother, murdering her. They basically sucked the life out of her mother. After they were long gone and left her mother there to die. Chase had wrapped a cloak around her and ran out to her mother, Chase was absolutely mortified, and she wept as she saw her mother die. Chase ended up taking the locket that was around her mother's neck and she didn't know where to do or where to run, she didn't want to go back in the house, but she had to call her father.

When she did call her father he came home right away and he didn't like what happened he became an absolute mess over what had happened but he stayed strong for Chase. Eventually though things turned out bad, and Chase was no longer able to live with her father, he was unfit to take care of her. So they sent her to a new home, which was unfortunately in Sweden. She stayed there for five years. That was when her father was able to raise a child and that's when she lived with him again. She was eleven and her father decided it was time to teach her things, and so he did. He taught her to hunt, shoot, fight, and all of that so she would be able to fend things off, then he sent her to St.Basils, for she'd have to protect a Moroi one day.

Unlike most of the other students, Ashley was bright eyed and bushy tailed even before the sun came up, which she preferred since even though she was completely able to go into the sunshine she doesn't exactly enjoy it. Stretching out the sleep, she took a lazy glance at her roommates', Chase and Janet, sleeping forms before walking over to the bathroom to fix herself up a little before going out. Tying her hair up into a messy pony tail, she dressed in casual running clothes; a tank top and a pair of women's tennis shorts, and headed out the door. Ear buds cranked up to a volume most would consider deafening, Ashley went out on her daily run around the school's grounds. She wasn't exactly a stickler for the rules, but she wasn't a breaker either, so she stayed on the grounds, despite the constant warnings from teachers and her Moroi, Ariella, alike. She knew perfectly well that she was going to be fine, like she has been for the several years she's been doing this at the school. It wasn't long before the sun started peeking out from the horizon and Ashley quickly ran back to the dorms. It was then when she was kicking off her sneakers that she received a text from Ariella.

"Hey, save a seat for me. I have to stop by the feeders and then I'll be there."

Ashley ran into the bathroom knowing that it didn't take long for them to feed. The Dhampir stopped herself at the doorway of the bathroom to acknowledge her roommates. "Breakfast soon you guys, up and at 'em!" She took a quick shower, blow dried and curled her hair, before putting on the white blouse, black blazer, and jeans she left out the other night. Without another delay she made her way out with a quick urge for her roommates to follow soon. Like any other day, Ashley took their usual table and it didn't take long before Ariella came to sit next to her. The red head greeted her Moroi with a warm smile and a playful nudge of the shoulder. "Hey there, baby girl, you sure took your sweet time getting here." She said as if she didn't just arrive and went as far as to pretend to look over her nails.

"Supness!" Ashley greeted Nila with the same warm smile before gesturing over to her Moroi with a playful smirk.

"Just messing with Ariella is all, where's Grey?"

Running, the rain pouring down and pitter pattering on the stone walk way, she kept running from something, she didn't know what she was running from but it was something, something that she was absolutely terrified of. She kept running, faster and faster, until she hit the end of the path, and a scream could be heard through the whole thing and she looked around over and over again and it was just rain pouring down over and over again, her hair absolutely soaked and her clothes drenched. She had tears running down her face, and then that's when she saw a body laying on the ground limp, she continued to move forward but the trees weren't moving everything was very still yet she was still moving.

She came up to the body and then she noticed that the body laying limp on the ground was the body of her mother, and her whole death came back to her.

Chase woke up with a jolt and she was looking around and she sighed, she was just at the academy like usual. Chase sighed and breathed in deeply calming her nerves a bit as she took everything out. Her mother was dead but it still freaked her out here and there because of how things went down when she was younger. The young girl finally pushed her covers back and realized Janet and Ashley were already gone. She looked around for a clock. "Clock.. Clock" she said mumbling to herself. She found one, "Awe dammit!" She exclaimed and then she pushed her covers back and she tried to get up but tripped in her blankets, "not cool." She mumbled and then a sigh followed after.

Chase quickly got up and she hopped in the shower and she was started by the sudden cold water before it turned warm. She then knew she had no time to waste and she washed her body quickly before getting the shampoo out. She quickly shampooed and conditioned her hair and then she got out of the shower. She quickly dried herself off and towel dried her hair. After a bit she had gotten the hair dryer out and she dried her hair and simply put her hair in a pony tail.

Chase soon came back out to the room and she rummaged around for something to wear. A pair of light blue jeans and her purple plaid shirt with a blue tank top. She found her favourite shoes and she placed them out there. She quickly got changed and then she checked herself over in the mirror and decided she looked good to go.

Walking down to where food was she grabbed a few things to eat, and she ate them, she didn't bother talking to anyone, because she wanted to go to the library before class started. She then raced down the halls and eventually she found the library and she sighed in relief knowing she still had some time left. Walking into the library she saw Luke and Landon and she smiled, "Hey Landon, hey Luke." That was when she noticed that Janet had just gotten there as well. "Hey Janet." She said smiling and then she looked around a bit and she picked up a book to look at later.

"I was thinking of heading to the Library for a bit. You know..see what we can get any reading done..or, knowing you as I do see what kind of trouble we can get in to." Luke agreed to the plan. The one that didn't involve reading anyway. "Sweeeeeet let's go then." It didn't take him long to finish his food, inhaling his breakfast. Ariella ignored the invitation, but Luke wasn't devastated by it. One less prep I guess. At least Landon got to talk to her. Might of been because he was older, could of been because of Luke's reputation, though that was something that rubbed off on both of them.

His friend soon stood and led them to the library, something he was thankful for. Luke didn't care too much for staying around with that crowd. He was more content with his group. Landon took them to a table far from the librarian, who possibly hated Luke because he had a problem with using his "inside voice." Once at their seats, his friend spoke. "So, what should we do? Read? Study? Or none of the above?" The first things mentioned sounded displeasing to Luke, but Landon was on the right track. "Ah, you know me too well." He soon stood and went to the bookshelves. Warming up with petty things. The foreplay of mischief Just moving books around. Like putting "Shark Behavior" next to a book about menstruation.

Janet had entered the room, greeting the two. "Hi Landon, hi Luke. How are you guys doing?" He turned his head to her, "oh, hi." and finished putting something about sky scrapers midst the aircraft section. Luke returned to the table with Landon, when yet another joined them. "Hey Landon, hey Luke." He blushed a bit again. He wasn't too nervous around Janet, he saw her all the time, being with Landon. Chase, not as much. "Hi.." Doesn't help being such a pretty girl He soon gained himself again and leaned over the table, getting close to his friend. "Okay, eighth period, halls should be freed up right? Opportunities galore my friend."

Landon watched Luke, waiting for his response. "Ah, you know me too well." Luke said. Landon laughed lightly. As Luke moved and began moving around a few of the books, he spoke, "We've been stuck together for far too long." Smiling, he continued, "I'm surprised that they've allowed for us to stick together for so long. You know, seeing how much trouble we tend to cause." Seeing what Luke was doing, Landon gave his head a small shake. "You better hope that the Librarian doesn't catch you. She'd have your hide." Landon remained sitting, merely watching as his friend cause trouble for the older woman that ran the library. Landon turned his attention to Janet as the beautiful girl approached the table. "Hi Landon, hi Luke. How are you guys doing?" the young woman said. "Hey! You know us. Trying to stay out of trouble. How has your morning been, Janet?" Landon asked, smiling brightly at the woman.

Janet sat at the table, a book with her. "What do you have there?" he asked her, noticing the book. It wasn't long before another young woman joined them..Chase. "Hey Landon, hey Luke." Landon smiled at the woman, though not nearly as brightly as when he'd spoken with Janet. "Good morning, Chase." he said. Luke leaned over towards him shortly after the girls had joined them, speaking, "Okay, eighth period, halls should be freed up right? Opportunities galore my friend." Landon nodded. "They should be. Where are we going to find the shopping carts though? Or..are you hiding some in you dorm that I don't know about?" Landon asked, laughing. He waited for Luke's reply before turning his gaze back to his guardian. He said nothing for a moment, merely regarding her. He'd known her for some time and they'd become close over the years. Landon would never trust no other to keep him safe. "You're welcome to join us, you know." he said, smiling. He would be surprised if she would though he couldn't deny that he would be happy if she did. Either way, Landon was glad that the woman was at least with him right then.

Getting an "Oh, hi." from Luke she smiled,"That's not telling me how you are doing." Shaking her head a little giggling at that. She then looked over at Luke,"Hey! You know us. Trying to stay out of trouble. How has your morning been, Janet?"

She couldn't help but, think about how perfect his smile was, it would always lighten up her day. Clearing her throat before answering,"Yeah? Staying out of trouble? Really?" She had to question that staying out of trouble thing, when were they not in trouble? "I'm still a little tired but, i'll sucked it up and deal it."

Looking down at the book she just checked out,"Um, it's a very good book, this is actually my fourth time reading it." It was a book filled with drama and adventure and a little bit of romance but, she really wasn't the one who took her time reading books.

Turning towards Chase who probably woke up right after she had left. "Hi Chase." Smiling back at her, she looked back at Luke,"You're welcome to join us, you know." She thought about it for a bit and shrugged,"Sure, I have nothing else to do." Janet thought it was alright to take a break once in awhile.

There he was again.

Standing outside in the unusually cold air, watching the flames stretch up into the navy sky, reaching to the stars like they were trying to grab them. The night breeze was chilly, nipping at his bare skin, however the warmth from the fire distracted him. The colour from the flames danced across his face, reflecting in his eyes as he stared, fixed on the burning mass in front of him. His home, yes, he remembered from years ago. They all escaped the fire nearly fine...it's what was waiting out in the dark that was dangerous.

He turned, staring into the night. His shoulder ached suddenly, like it had at the time, freshly burned. He heard something beside him, a piercing scream reminiscent of his mother's. Tilting his head to the right, he watched silently as the Strigoi attacked her. And then his vision went black.

Kole rose suddenly in his bed, the blankets around him disheveled and twisted. In an instant, he felt confusion wash over him. What in the world was that? He hadn't had a dream like that in years. It frequently happened after the attack, but went away after awhile. Why was it happening again? He pondered for a moment, though decided that it meant nothing. He pushed the dream out of his mind, however the odd feeling of a serene calmness did not escape him. He had just stared so contently at the fire and the Strigoi...he just watched like it was a film playing in front of him, a television screen.

He collapsed back onto the bed, ready to fall asleep again, until he realized that his roommate was currently not in the room with him. Tilting his head, he stared at the alarm clock sitting on the beside table, the bright red numbers blaring the current time. He had forgotten to set his alarm. Again. Rather than panicking like most people, Kole smiled weakly to himself like it was some sort of inside joke, and languidly stretched himself. At a slow pace, he rose from the bed and gathered together some clothing for the day. He had showered the previous night in order to avoid having to waste time to do it in the morning. That seemed to be an especially good decision for today, because if he had to take a shower, he would most likely be late. The teachers were starting to get annoyed too.

Kole ran a hand through his light brown hair, trying to tame the loose strands in front of his vision. In a matter of minutes, he had put on a loose fitting band t-shirt with the word 'MUSE' written across the lower middle of it. Light grey skulls and various tribal patterns decorated the fabric, and he paired it with black jeans and white sneakers. Today felt like a casual day. He grabbed his few things he needed for the morning classes, and left the room, shutting the door behind him.

As he walked down the hallway, he felt oddly out of place. One of the few people walking in the nearly empty hallway, he felt oddly singled out, like there was a target on him. As per usual though, he headed towards the feeding rooms. Inside there was hardly anyone left, and he grinned sheepishly at his usual partner.

"Late again?" The woman chirped as he moved to her side. Kole shrugged, leaning down near her neck. She pushed her short brown hair out of the way for him.

"I forgot to set my alarm." He said quietly before slipping his teeth into her neck. It only lasted a few seconds, and he instantly felt relieved afterwards, like a huge weight had been taken from his shoulders. His mood lifted a bit, and he stood up to his full height again, glancing down at the woman. He couldn't remember her name, even though he had spoken to her dozens of times. Remembering names wasn't a talent of his. He waved her a quick goodbye and left, looking up at the analog clock on the wall as he stepped out towards the library. He still had a decent amount of time left, ten minutes, give or take.

With the hardcover book in his grip, he headed towards the library, his sole intent being only to return the book, however upon looking inside he noticed a few familiar faces, including that of his guardian. Trying not to draw attention to himself, he went up to the desk and placed the book in the return bin, saying a quick 'hello' to the old librarian before turning down to the section where he needed to be. He needed another book for the next class to look at and study later. Kole stepped past the table with his roommate and someone without a single word, as well as the one near the bookshelves, though glanced up as Chase came into view and gave her a slight wave.

Many Moroi were close with their guardians. Some even had relationships, however with people around, he treated Chase like nothing more than an acquaintance. Some people found it odd, his apparent ignorance to his guardian, though most probably didn't know that he treated her a bit differently when others weren't around. He went to the shelf right away, looking at books listed under Royal Family History. He narrowed his eyes when he noticed an encyclopedia of animals shoved in amidst the old hardcovers, and turned to glare at Luke slightly.

After taking a book, he turned to look at Chase, then along the other two male students who were there. He flipped open the book he was holding, skimming the pages.

"I don't know if you really want to get mixed in with their chaos." Kole said quietly, lifting his gaze to look at his guardian. His voice didn't have a teasing tone, or even warmth within it. It was as cold and uncaring as the deep ocean. However his eyes lit up with a certain happiness, as if the sight of her just made his day a bit better.

"Hey! You know us. Trying to stay out of trouble. How has your morning been, Janet?" Luke couldn't help but smirk at his friend's response. Sure. Janet didn't buy it though. "Yeah? Staying out of trouble? Really?" "Oh certainly not ma'am." Sarcastically jumping in. "They should be. Where are we going to find the shopping carts though? Or..are you hiding some in you dorm that I don't know about?" "Hey, I got it taken care of. Gave a stoner two bucks and a snickers while back, he pulled through." Her and Landon soon started talking about books. He soon lost interest, and went back to goofing off. He did overhear them though. "Sure, I have nothing else to do." He smiled. Someone else coming with them.

Luke was trying to see if he could fit himself inside of a shelf when Kole had joined them. He was disappointed at his hi-jinkery, but Luke could only smile, looking back at him. "Find what you're looking for?" Luke was soon emerged in his own world, the only thing bringing him out was a Pokemon card lodged in the shelf. "Neat." He got out of the shelf to show Landon. Before he could tell him 'look what I found,' Kole had spoken to Chase. "I don't know if you really want to get mixed in with their chaos." His mind changed focus, from his friend to the pair. "What do you mean? It'll be fun." Standing with Chase. Luke got himself into the situation, but with no other plan. Luke'd wanted to talk to her for a while, but now that he was, he was lost. He had to improvise his way through it. A bit of blushing and quick thinking would do. "Uh, this is kinda awkward but.. um, maybe after school, we could.. hang out or something?" He pulled a smile, and laughed under stress. "Smooooth as a chainsaw," muttered under his breath. He waited for Chase's response.

"Sure, I have nothing else to do." Janet said. As soon as he heard the words come out of her mouth, Landon's face broke into a bright smile. "Really? You normally don't want to come with us." He thought for a moment. "Well, if you want we can do homework together after? That way we can make sure we both are getting our stuff done." he said, his green eyes focused upon his Guardian. As he sat with Janet, Landon couldn't help but wonder if he should inform her to his lack of sleep as of late. As he though about it, he knew that she probably could tell. The reason Landon was always on the go as of late was so that he couldn't think about his tiredness. In the end..he chose to tell her.

Landon eyed Kole who had joined them. Not even a hello from the young man. He wasn't surprised. "I don't know if you really want to get mixed in with their chaos." Kole said to Chase. Landon remained quiet..knowing that Luke was likely to respond. "What do you mean? It'll be fun." Luke said. Landon spoke then, "Yeah..I mean, at least we'll still be inside. We could be trekking about outside or something. Do you really think us that stupid?" he laughed, hoping the other boy would realize that he wasn't trying to be mean, but joking. Landon heard Luke trying to ask Chase to hang and that's exactly when he turned his attention back to Janet. "So..I know that you've probably noticed but I've not been sleeping very much at all. I'm..not sure why but it's why I've been all over the place lately." His eyes were glued upon the girl's face. He wondered what she would say. He was almost willing to bet that she was going to lecture him somewhat. He deserved it. He should have told her about it the moment it had started.

Chase was just in the library as she clutched onto the book she might take a look at during one of her morning classes. She didn't always pay attention to them but she was still a good student none the less, she had to pass her classes, no sense in flunking them, what would be the point? Soon she saw Kole walk in. He was the Moroi that Chase had to guard. Normally when they were around other people, Kole was silent and treated her differently than when they were alone, Chase understood that he wasn't much of a people person or anything, but over awhile they did realize they had similar interests like photography. Chase watched him over by the bookshelf and soon he looked her way and gave her a small wave and she returned it to him.

"I don't know if you really want to get mixed in with their chaos." Kole had said to her. She nodded at him, she did respect what he had to say to her, and even though they didn't appear as much in public like other guardians and Moroi pairings, they just didn't say much, although because Kole was the Moroi she was protecting she valued what he had to say over other people, and respected anything. Chase understood, Kole didn't really like the way that Luke and Landon did things. She understood that, entirely. "Don't worry I can handle myself." She said softly back to Kole, hoping he wouldn't really be mad with her. She was only talking to the two guys right now anyways, she hadn't gotten into their "chaos", yet. If it was too much for her she wouldn't do anything she didn't want to do.

Soon though, Luke piped in and now he was standing next to Chase. Chase didn't really mind for the most part. She gave him a smile, being friendly enough. Eventually though he started to speak again. "Uh, this is kinda awkward but.. um, maybe after school, we could.. hang out or something?" and he had a smile by the end of it. That was when the nervousness kicked in. Normally Chase would be fine around Luke or Landon but when he asked her to hang out, a slight blush went over her cheeks. "Uh..I uh." She stammered and then she went to fidget with the book in her hand and then it ended up slipping a bit and a fell, and she sighed picking it up. "Uh, I will g-get back to you o-on th-that." She said and she only managed to blush more as she stumbled even more over her words, she was such an idiot half the time. "I just uh gotta make sure, I'm not forgetting something.." She said trailing off, when in reality, she rather make sure it was okay with Kole first, he did come first, because being a dhampire your main focus was on the Moroi you were protecting, so if Kole didn't want to do anything, or if Kole was alright she'd go.

"Don't worry I can handle myself." Luke took the retort as a success. She don't mind Though he got nervous and all talking to her, it wasn't as bad as it could be. Chase was nervous too. "Uh..I uh." She started to play with her book, it was cute in a way. He smiled, with his red cheeks. She dropped her book, Luke eager to pick up, only bumping hands. Returning, he acted as nothing happened. "Uh, I will g-get back to you o-on th-that." He couldn't really blush anymore, only a smile breaking through. "Sweeeeeet.." Normally, there'd be more expression behind the phrase, but this time he let it fade out.

Luke saw he'd stepped into this, it'd just be a waste if he didn't execute. He wanted to run to Landon for help, but he couldn't. He was occupied with Janet, but it'd be ruined if he just ran off from Chase. "I just uh gotta make sure, I'm not forgetting something.." Luke pulled the card from his pocket and held it to her between his fingers. "Bookmark?" It wasn't anything near flowers or chocolate, but it was all he had. "Me and Landon are just going around free period.. uh.. can come too." Grammar was put to the side, forgotten. He was nervous and was more worried on saying something.

Luke had stood in the library with them, but soon something felt odd. Like other Dhampir, Luke could sense a Strigoi's presence. Of course, people in the hall were acting differently, which tipped him off. "Hold on.. I'm gonna go see about that. You guys.. you got people to watch for." It was true, he didn't have any Moroi to watch over or worry about. No arguments on what would be safer. He soon left the group, waving to Landon before tapping Chase on the shoulder. "This afternoon right?"

He exited, not waiting for a response. Curiosity got the better of him, as usual. Moving outside to where the presence was, he caught Grey punching a Strigoi in the back of the head. Way to go mumbles He pulled Nila from the strigoi, and she started going inside to safety. It wasn't as smooth as she intended, tripping and falling to the ground. Luke bent over her on the ground, thinking to himself how close he was to teabagging her. He didn't mean to, just how he approached her. "You alright bub?" He put his arms under her shoulders to lift her to her feet as he helped her get inside. Nila wasn't his girl, but he still felt angered that a female was harmed. "Dang, never seen nerd-boy so flust'd." He already asked her, but he did it again. "You alright?"

When Janet asked him if he was okay, Landon focused back on her. He smiled at her. "I'm all right..just thinking." he said quietly. He remained silent for a moment, watching his friend, Luke, as he waved at him and left the library. After Luke had left, Landon turned his attention back to Janet. "You know, I've never told you about my brother." he said, turning his gaze downward. "Hayden was killed by a Strigoi about five years ago." Landon had only ever briefly mentioned having a brother once or twice before to Janet. He'd never told her that the other boy had been killed. It was painful for him to talk about but he felt as if she should know. He didn't want to keep anything from her. He looked back up at her. "He was my best friend, you know? I mean, even though my parents would always compare me to him, we were still very close. My parents have been riding me pretty hard lately about concentrating on my studies..nothing else." He smiled brightly at Janet, trying to cover the fact that he was still a bit upset. "Luckily, I seem to do exceptionally in all of my classes so I can do other things." Landon was glad that he could focus on other things. At least he could pursue any extra activities that he wanted. He wanted so badly to ask Janet out but he'd been putting it off. The words that his parents had said kept running through his mind. He kept trying to push them from his mind, but..he seemed to be failing at that.
