From her uncomfortable position, Britney did her best not to groan. Her legs were cramping but it looked like Noah had some unexpected "prison mates", she silently sighed in frustration as she moved away as quiet as possible. Looked like she can't "accidentally bump" into Noah after all. She slid past the entryways she has been through earlier and walked back towards the school yard and up to where the Royal Table was. She arrived just in time to her other friend, Serafina dropping a huge confession to Zoey.

"Um...I have an audition for a GAP commercial in LA the same day as the talent show...I don't think i'll be here to be in it." Sera announced before digging back to her lunch. She quickly dashed next to her friend, taking the seat across from Zoey's and blurted, "What?! You can't cannot be in the talent show! That's like really important," She pointed out with an animated look in her face as she pulled out her lunch from her pack and nibbled on the carrot sticks and ham sandwich. She did her best to look like she's some Hollywood star on a diet. She also demanded to her parents only to pack her Evian. Of course her parents rolled their eyes at her request but did their best to comply by their princess' rules.

"Come on Sera, you are not serious are you? It's gonna be like the 3rd time we're gonna be champions on this thing. Don't ruin the fun!" She hastily complained. She cannot let anyone ruin her chances at stardom! Not even is she was a friend. What if a talent scout was in the audience and thought she did very well? That'll be ruined if her friend wouldn't show up. If she's left with Zoey, the girl would probably steal the spotlight all the way through, at least if Sera's with them Zoey would be forced to give them some fame time.

"Besides, Gap's weird. They have like really generic outfits," She said in a mean way as she dipped her carrot sticks and sipped her Evian. "Right Zoey?"

Ricky was having a good day, all things considered. The jerk who made fun of his nose had been absent from his usual post by the doors, the pop quiz in History was an easy ace, and he and Ian had planned for dodgeball during recess. He had settled into a niche quite nicely with Aidan and Ian, if a synergetic hyper-energetic singularity could be called a "niche." Either way, what counted was that Ricky was enjoying himself, both in general and specifically on that day. Which was why meeting the aforementioned jerk again right on the way to lunch had been such an unpleasant surprise.

"Hey, Nosy." The demeaning nickname came out almost venomous, where from anyone else, like Ian or Everleigh, it would have been funny, if strange. "Hey Nosy," he continued, "I'm talkin' to you."

Once again Ricky found himself putting skills learned on the streets of Brooklyn to good use. "Buzz off, jack."

That was a mistake, and Ricky knew it the moment the retort came, outraged at his flippancy. "My name's not Jack, you dummy."

"My name's not Nosy either," Ricky shot back. He felt quite proud of himself for that recovery. His satisfaction was short-lived, though, as he suddenly felt an arresting hand on his shoulder. He whipped around at it, and saw "Not-Jack" behind him. The kid was older than Ricky, and significantly taller. Ricky felt more than a little intimidated.

"You better watch yourself, kid," Not-Jack responded, icy. "Next time you won't be so lucky." With that cryptic remark, the jerk departed for the cafeteria. Ricky turned to watch him mystified, and only then saw the teacher standing a distance away. She was probably the reason he hadn't ended up with a re-broken nose. Thanking her would be weird, though, so Ricky just made his way into the cafeteria, and found the girls already seated. He had been a bit held up thanks to a late class, not to mention the strange encounter a moment ago.

Mystified and a bit annoyed that his good day had suddenly been brought down to normal, he continued on to the girls' table. He gave the best smile he could with his suddenly changed mood. "Hi all! This seat taken?" It wasn't normally, but he always checked.

Emmaline muttered in annoyance as her brother strutted off, most likely to find the boys. I really hate him sometimes she thought as she stared daggers towards Zoey, who waved enthusiastically from across the field. If the child noticed the odd way Eryka reacted to her sibling, she gave no reaction to it, deciding instead to ponder her impending doom.

She vaguely heard Eveleigh question Eryka about something and turned towards her pink friend ”Just ignore him. It works for me most of the time.” Reaching out, Emmaline placed half of her turkey sandwich on Maddie’s lunch box with a smile ”Really, you would do that?” she asked with a raised voice as Eryka made her suggestion ”That would be really cool! It could be me, you, and Maddie…”

Glancing to Everleigh, Emmaline felt a twang of guilt. She really wasn’t that bad….and it wasn’t her fault the boys treated her different. ”It would be nice if you joined too, Everleigh,” She muttered, swinging her legs back and forth”since your mom is making you and all. Maybe you can come over too….to practice your song?” Just as she finished her question, a presence behind her caused her body to stiffen. Never mind…

She knew it was Ricky before he opened his mouth, and she felt joy and anger all at once. Rolling her eyes, Emmaline placed her arm to rest on the table in annoyance. As he questioned about a seat, she surprisingly stayed quiet, deciding instead to allow Everleigh to answer. She knew it was him the girl had been looking for, and Emmaline felt something she couldn’t place. Aidan seemed to always be around Zoey, and now Everleigh had taken Ricky. Who was she supposed to count on now? Scooting closer to Maddie, Emmaline nudged her and pointed to where Zoey seemed to be ranting and let out a giggle. At least she still had her “big sister”.

Across the field Zoey grumbled in annoyance as Aidan’s form left the table and wondered off “He has to make sure his sister doesn’t turn out like her friend.” She spat out before flipping her air and sighed. “Who knows where that girl is, but I know where she is supposed to be.” No sooner than the words left her mouth, Britney showed herself “Gee Brit, nice to show up.”

As she noticed Emmaline’s eyes locked with hers, Zoey waved with a wide smile. She vaguely heard Seraphina, but the girl’s words didn’t sink in until Britney began to speak. It was at this time Michael made his appearance, and the boy paused for moment rethinking his decision to sit as Zoey let out an annoyed screech “You cannot be serious, no, better yet, I know you’re not!” Tapping her feet in anger, Zoey gave a pointed look to her friend “This is important, Seraphina.” Grabbing her bag, Zoey shook her head in shame “You can be so selfish!” Stalking away, expecting Britney to follow of course, Zoey muttered under her breath.

Watching her stalk away, Michael let out a chuckle “You really pissed her off.” Shrugging innocently as a teacher scolder him, Michael popped a couple of sunflower seeds in his mouth and let his eyes roam the field. Nodding his head to Aidan’s sister, who seemed to be laughing as well about Zoey’s dramatic exit , he mouthed in question about her sibling.

Seeing her glance behind her, he too stood to make his departure “I’m going to jet before the beast returns. Good luck with that one.” Tossing a few more seeds into his mouth, Michael strolled to the kids table, allowing his eyes to linger on a certain beauty before he kneed Emmaline in the spine softy “See you later, little bit.” Getting an annoyed half wave, he laughed, giving one last glance to the girl’s friend that sat unaware of him it seemed, before heading to where Aidan stood dribbling a basketball on the black top. No sooner than the game had begun the bell rang signaling the end of lunch, and the once full field became empty as children stampeded to their classes.

As everyone else brainstormed into the ideas for the talent show Madeline listened tentatively on her friends as she continued munching on her bland food. She stared at Emmaline and felt the animosity in her friends voice, she clearly doesn't feel good towards Everleigh. She sighed and continued to munch until the bell rang. Kids everywhere groaned but scurried to close their lunchboxes and throw their trashes as they passed by the large trash bin going towards the school.

Madeline closed her own lunch box after dumping the left overs in a paper bag, a treat for the class' pet rabbit she decided. She took her best friend's hand and walked back to their class just like everyone else.

Eryka watched the entire scene play out closely, her dark eyes fixated on the annoying, poorly reared girls all bicker and disperse like angry vultures. She muttered something in Russian underneath her breath, rolling her eyes as Zoey stomped away like an upset toddler. Eryka wondered how American children could act so juvenile, and what kind of monkeys were raising them to be this way; in her country, anyone who acted so disrespectfully would be severely punished- especially if that person were a female.

But then that left Noah, and she couldn't help but feel guilty by association. His behavior at school was something to be ashamed of, and Eryka worried that perhaps the Americans were starting to get to him. When Michael appeared like a bad omen, Eryka quickly looked away and flinched, hurrying to pack away her things and flee from the table so that she wouldn't have to suffer any insults today. She watched ad Madeline and Emmaline walked away hand in hand, leaving Eryka alone, which she was accustomed to anyway; and then she caught a glimpse of Michael's half-longing gaze at Everleigh.

All she could think about when the girl swung her perfect hair around, was how Noah constantly gushed about his feelings for her, and that much irritated Eryka. But alas, Everleigh was too kind hearted for Eryka to harbor any negative feelings toward her. She dusted her navy blue coat from the bread crumbs that had spilled into her lap, straightened her matching French beret, then scuttled quickly away toward the classroom. She turned and looked over her shoulder just to catch a glimpse of Aidan as he enjoyed basketball, admiring his boyish charm and handsome features more amorously than usual. It was short lived, however, and before anyone could possibly noticed how she stupidly gawked at the Boyer child, she turned around and left.

Sera
No sooner than Sera had finished telling Zoey about her GAP commercial the weekend of the talent show did Britney show up and start whining about it before Zoey could even say anything. "You must be thinking of the wrong store Britney...", Sera said and rolled her eyes. Before Britney could say anything back Zoey called Sera selfish and stomped off. Sera huffed and threw her food down watching Zoey stomp off before she could defend herself. Almost oblivious to anyone else at the table she had forgot Michael was there until he said something about pissing Zoey off. "Oh shut up" she said and stood up as the bell was ringing. The line near the trash was long and Sera didn't feel like waiting. "Move, get out of my way." She pushed her way through all the other kids and dumped her garbage with a flip of her hair before making her way back through the hallways.


Everleigh
Everleigh had just finished her lunch when Ricky came up to the table and asked if he could sit down. "Always keep a spot open. You're late. Have you been getting into trouble?" She raised her brow at Ricky half expecting an excuse, but before he said anything she heard someone at the table mention her name. "Oh, yeah...I'll ask mom if I can practice there." Everleigh didn't really want to go, but her mother would insist it would be good for her to have friends in school. Although Everleigh had friends, they were mostly boys and her mother wanted her to be a bit more girly sometimes, so she would abide and go to Emmaline's to practice. Everleigh glanced up as she finished talking and saw Michael Foy make his way to the table and say something. She didn't care much for him and hoped he wasn't there to start trouble, so she ignored him and began a conversation with Ricky about her treehouse. Not too long after they began talking the bell rang and she made her way to throw her stuff away, only to be pushed aside by Serafina. The pretties as everyone called them, really should get a grip on their attitudes.
