Introduction

Plot:

Long after the rebellion against the Empire and the Yuuzhan Vong War, a new order emerged based on the balance between the dark and the light of the force. They were called the Grey Knights and were quickly declared heretics by the Jedi and the remnants of the Sith. So they had to operate in secrecy, usually infiltrating orders and assassinating key leaders who threatened the balance. But soon, the Jedi and the Sith openly declared war and a purging of the grey knights. After the purge, only a portion of the grey knights remained. Though the quarrel, many had turned to the dark side and were ejected from the grey knights. While the grey knights left the galaxy, the former grey knights formed a new Sith order to rival the One Sith.

Setting:

New Sith Order hidden HQ: On Coruscant, the Andosa corporate building serves as the base of the New Sith order. Only the new sith know about it and otherwise it is disguised as a corporation that builds service droids and grows nutrients for the people of Coruscant. Usually, battles take place off world or within other quadrants of Coruscant.

Coruscant: Currently counts as neutral territory. A planet that is one city with a population of one trillion. Jedi outposts and Sith outposts can be found within Coruscant.

New Sith Order quick info

-Rule of Two (currently Ashara Ashok and an apprentice [name to be filled in later]
-Ranks: Recruit, Apprentice, Sentinel, Captain, General, Commander (relatively flat hierarchy)
-Sentinels can become Captains through honor or through direct non-lethal competition (usually the stronger in the force wins)
-Rule of Two can be contested through lethal competition (coup), however in the single attempt made so far, the competitor lasted less than a minute.
-Rule: Treat fellow order members as brothers and sisters. Backstabbing kept the old sith fragile.

Phora never understood Obsidian, his lack of…seeing how easily he could change. After all in one moment he's drunk, in another he’s having no problem speaking in an understandable way, though that may be normal for a force user.

When group that had a dispute with Obsidian entered, and when conflict broke out – No need for lightsabers was…as Ashara said, though they tried to use such elegant weapon, meant for a far different times and surely not fitting for a club.
She took on one with bare hands, one that almost went down easily – with an elbow landing at his back of the head. Sadly he managed to stand, and he had to take out lightsaber, just like the one that Cruze fought with. Force made a short work of his lightsaber, sliding it out of his hands…and dismantling.

Then she force choked him lightly, and muttered.

“I’m so not in the mood for killing today, you’re lucky.” Is what Sith heard before losing consciousness, his body slumped onto the ground.

“Sweet dreams, and let’s hope we won’t meet again…”

Later Phora listened to what Obsidian and Ashara had to say, that she let him go off hook so easily surprised her…in a good way.
“Aren’t you generous today…” She had to mutter.

OOC - Cruze you forgot about yourself in post ^^.

Sweet dreams, and let’s hope we won’t meet again…” Said Phora, not noticing that another guy snuck up on her back. Jalee took out a stun gun and hold it against his side. She could use a blaster, but if the others weren't supposed to use lightsabers, then Jalee also wanted to play fair and only knocked the guy out. „Don't tell me you're getting old, Phora.” The Twi'lek shook her head, her lekku waving in the air due to the movement.

Now that they had time, Phora replied to Jalee’s earlier question.
“Actually Jalee…I am old.” She grinned.

Cruze looked up when he heard Koren arrive and say some sarcastic comments to Jalee. “Wow, didn’t think you had that in you buddy. Glad to see you’re at least a little human in there.” Koren looked to Cruze, “Happy to have done so. I may wear play the role of a void but I am still human.” He said as Jalee replied, “My dear, unlike others among our group I do hold respect for your talents and a living being. But do remember I while many among our Order and some outsiders know of my duality the majority do not. If what you say were true, I would not be free to move about without the mask. You may call me as you wish but I ask, not demand, you not say me true name in public please.” He asked her politely.

Koren was not like the other hard nosed, stuck ups in the order and respected other beings regardless of race. He didn't know why Jalee didn't like him, but he would not respond aggressively with her unless necessary. She would either warm to him in time or she wouldn't. Koren would only get aggressive with her if she crossed a line with him. Ashara quickly brought them to order, explained her plan and moved them on to their destination. The lower levels were the unlawful side of the Corucant most people never say or even thought about. If crime was the most rampant anywhere it was here, right under the noses of the Jedi and Senate. Koren despised what went on down here but there was not much he could do about it for now. That said he had his own secret base of operations down here, built off the books with his own funds and located on level 47. Besides his residence at Republica 500, FOB 47 was just a place for Koren to practice his experiments away from the eyes of his peers.

He took great lengths to hide it from everyone but his inner circle. It was created as safe house in case things with Ashara went too far to be redeemed and Koren needed to go into hiding for any reason. Funny enough, Koren had established an operations outpost for their order just twenty levels above as a cover for his. Mostly it was used to test new droids in secrete was the cover reason for it's existence.

Upon their arrival it didn't take long to find The Cave and Master Obsidian, whom had been waiting for them. Koren had never had any trouble with master Obsidian, in fact the two worked quite nicely, when he wasn't drunk off his behind. Koren did have to admit for someone drunk his use of the force to sober himself up was impressive. Koren listened to Ashara give Obsidian a firm lecture on the state of his life and his apprentice.

“Ashara does have a point master Obsidian. As a fellow college and a friend I am concerned with your mental and physical health. As you know I help train the apprentices of other masters, yours is among them and he has expressed concern for you. I would be remiss as his teacher and your friend if I didn't come to help you.” Koren said. “I would be willing to aid you in your recovery if you would be willing to try. Sometimes the journey to recovery is best walked with a companion by your side.” he added. But before he could recover men in black robes came marching in demanding his head for not paying them back credits he owed. It didn't take long for them to be outed as old sith, one whom Ashara knew very well. Right as he took out his communication device intending to radio in her whereabouts, he couldn't move his fingers. Fear stuck his as he couldn't move. "I had expected you to have gotten stronger." Ashara said. "My friends will take care of your subordinates and I don't think they need lightsabers to accomplish that."

As Cruze, Phora and Jalee went to work Koren stayed by Ashara as two of them moved to attack Ashara, "Only two, how disappointing." Koren said as he used the force to grasp the two men, lifted them up into the air and tossed them out of a door into the back alley of the building where no one would see them, "Even more so. Though perhaps I can get at least a little bit of a challenge out of them." Koren said as he walked calmly after them, taking his two lightsabers and attaching them together. Outside the two sith met him in kind with their sabers drawn and more than eager to run him through. Koren activated his double bladed lightsaber and the battle commenced. Much to his discontentment his opponents were well trained, but hardly at the level Koren desired. So was the case he was holding back and giving them a handicap just to prolong the duel. Koren could have handled them blinded and with his bare fists and still wouldn't have even a quarter of the challenge he was looking for. After an even six minutes of playing with his new friends Koren became board and swiftly disarmed them and used force lightning to render them unconscious.

Looking at them Koren snarled as he deactivated his saber, “Hardly a challenge, not even worth the effort.” He said as he detached the two sabers and replaced them on his belt. A sound behind him caught his attention and Koren turned around to look for it. He felt another force presence, another sith perhaps? Swiftly he closed in on the target whom had trapped themselves at the far end and found not a sith but a girl. She was young, no more than fifteen and covered in dirty rags Koren hesitated to call clothes. It was apparent she was one of the downtrodden whom lived on this level, “Well well, what do we have here?” He asked. “Please, please, don't hurt me! ” She cried as she pressed herself into the wall, as if trying to phase through it. “No, I won't do that. However, since you just saw what happened I can't just let you go can I?” Koren said as he reached out for her, “No!” Suddenly Koren felt himself being thrown back as a blast of raw force knocked him down.

Koren was in shock, he had felt the force in her but he didn't think such a powerful attack would come from one untrained in the force. The blast had only thrown him because he had his guard down but Koren knew from experiencing it she had great potential, “M'Lord!” A female voice called out as several of his Handmaidens, whom had remained hidden, revealed themselves, weapons drawn and pointed at the girl, “I..I..I'd sorry! Please, it was an accident!” The girl stuttered in an attempt to avoid further punishment. But Koren only held interest in the girl, it was the first time in a long while since he had take such an interest in a force sensitive. “Oh that was no accident little one, not at all.” Said as he stood and walked slowly towards her. The girl shivered in terror, putting her hands up as if to shield herself from a beating. But Koren just stopped in front of her and used one finger to gentle turn her face towards him, “You just so happened to be in the right place, at the right time.” He said before waving her hand across her face.

Her eyes fluttered closed as he used the force to put her to sleep and she collapsed into his arms, “Take her back to the 'residence', accommodate her, but do not let her leave. Perhaps the force has given both of us a second chance.” He said, “And gather up the sith, take them to the lab. They'll prove useful for the 'experiment'.” Koren said. “As you command M'lord.” The handmaidens said as they took the girl and the sith as he went back inside, his mood much lighter than before.

Cruze and this sith clashed sabers a couple times, Cruze was having fun, wasn't often he would be able to have saber to saber combat. As he stepped back Cruze looked around the room. "Well, since the others are finished with their fun, I guess it's time to finish this." He said with a sigh. When the sith came down with a strike to try to over power Cruze, Cruze did a leg sweep sending him to the ground, and catching the sith's red saber.

"Now now... I would really want to kill you right now, since you decided to pull your saber out when it was a gentleman's fight." Cruze said as he pushed the man back down with his leg, with the red lightsaber a couple inches from the sith's neck. "But, I don't exactly call the shots." Cruze slid his own saber back into it's holster, but keeping the red one where it was. Cruze looked up at Ashara, waiting to see what she would want him to do. Kill or spare. Cruze preferred to always kill, less competition and there wont be a liability. But occasionally he would be ordered to let people live, to send a message. Plus he knew Koren did experiments on most captives they took.

During all of this, Cruze noticed Koren get pushed back by a wave of force, but noticed it came from a girl and Koren had her taken back, along with the other defeated men. "Don't have too much fun there."

As the others dispatched the enemy, Ashara noticed a strong presence in the force. Following it, she saw Koren get force pushed by a young girl. He then knocked her out and had a handmaiden take her away. "I see. You are trying to get a new apprentice." She mumbled quietly, not audible to anyone but herself.

Cruze had fought an enemy and had him at his mercy. He looked at her for guidance as if she was to decide where to let him live or let Cruze kill him. "Do as you see fit. The enemy is at your mercy not mine. If it were up to me, a simple spare or kill is too easy. Killing them quickly relieves them and sparing them does too. Some people you can turn by sparing them, while others will only seek revenge and sparing them causes you further troubles." Ashara said to Cruze.

Cruze smirked after Ashara said she didn’t care what she did. “Thank you. And I agree” Cruze said, slowly pushing the saber through the man’s neck, making him suffer with pain. After a couple seconds he slice horizontally killing him after the pain Cruze put him through. He deactivated the saber and tossed it to one of Koren’s handmaidens. “See if your master wants this little souvenir.” Cruze said out loud, he felt more relaxed, killing the man released some stress, as well as some anger he had built up.

As he stepping back from standing over the man, Cruze could almost feel as if someone was trying to get a read on him. He quickly brushed it off, either Koren was trying to read his alignment as he did with most other force users, or Ashara was doing roughly the same for personal reasons. Cruze never considered himself balanced, he had hate and anger in him sometimes. He had only let it take control of him once, when the last of his old crew was killed and he went to the front door of the Androsa Corporation.

Cruze pushed rubbed his hand through his hair and sighed. “Well, what’s next? I think I remember mentioning a spy of some sort. Hopefully we can have more fun.” Cruze said he looked around at the others. "Will Master Obsidian be joining us, or heading back to recover?"

As he reentered the establishment, Koren winced as Cruze impaled the Sith he had been dueling through the throat. Yes Koren had done his fair share of nerve wrenching acts but that didn't mean he was desensitized to them. After a couple seconds Cruze slice horizontally killing him after the pain he put him through. He deactivated the saber and tossed it to one of Koren’s handmaidens. “See if your master wants this little souvenir.” Cruze said out loud. Before she could catch it Koren called it to his hand with the force, causing the saber to fly through the air quick as a whip. Koren examined the blade, it was true he collected sabers from defeated opponents as well as sabers wielded by Jedi and Sith long since past. As such had quite a few in his collection but this saber was not one he would consider adding for multiple reasons.

Koren tossed the saber back to Cruze, using the force to give it a boost, “Perhaps if I had earned it, but as they say to the victor go the spoils.” Koren said just as Cruze noticed his new prospect, “Don't have too much fun there.” Koren humped, fun for him would have been either spending time in his archives, dueling or joining master Obsidian at one of the clubs just to watch the dancers. With just a dismissal wave to Cruze Koren turned in time to see Ashara looking at him. Through the force he could feel intrigue and something else he couldn't describe. Her eyes looking upon his new prospect his handmaidens were taking away told him exactly the source if her emotions. Koren had been putting off training a new apprentice since his last had betrayed him. Belexus had been his apprentice back when the Grey Knights had been at their peek. But even with his separate philosophy from the New Sith Koren had been unable to keep Belexus from believing they were all no better than true sith.

After the skirmish at Kashyyyk Belexus had vanished from the Order. Koren had informed Ashara that Belexus had been a Jedi spy and after inquiring as to his fate Koren let her know he had taken care of Belexus personally. Oh he was very much alive, that he did not hide from anyone. But as to what Koren had done to him, no one in the order knew. “I take betrayal very harshly Ashara,” He had told her when she inquired, “He may no longer be my apprentice but he is still useful in....other aspects. Trust me when I say the less you know the better.” Koren had said to her.

Considering he conducted test on captured enemies Ashara had heeded his advice and not asked any questions.....yet. If the knowledge of the test he was conducting were made know to the rest of the New Sith, much less any force based organization, quite a lot of people would suddenly be very cautious of him.

Because the things Koren was researching would make him very dangerous if he went down the wrong path.

Ashara then said to Koren: "Take good care of your apprentice. Don't make them hate you and do use them. I personally had a rough time as an apprentice. I was adopted into the Jedi at a young age, but only because my parents and the jedi masters feared what I could become due to my high midichlorian count. They feared that if they didnt keep me in check I would end up as another Vader. But their biggest mistake was that I was seldomly treated like a human with some dignity. I was used by them. Later I fled the Jedi and went to the Sith to exact my revenge and I had almost become what they had feared. Before I could commit any serious atrocities, I created the grey knights with like minded Sith and Jedi. But then I fell out of inner balance, going to the extremes of both light and dark. The dark in me wanted to destroy everything, but the light in me wanted to protect everything, so both restrained each other. I have come to understand that what I had perceived as neutral in the grey knights was basically just political neutrality while it was still morally on the light side. So I came to the conclusion that moral neutrality is impossible, because it would either require inability of action or to balance bad deeds with good deeds and good deeds with bad ones. So now I accept both the light and the dark. For every person I kill I secretly go to the lower layers and grant someone enough means to live. I am quite aware that even among the New Sith some perceive me as a monster. But Koren, I need you to make your apprentice better than me, at least on a moral standpoint, one that is aware of the far reaching consequences of actions."

Ashara knew perfectly that she wasn't a good person, but she wasn't that bad as a Sith either. Many by her age had at least massacred a town before. But she had killed maybe a couple hundred, most during the war with the Jedi and the Old Sith.

Cruze had mentioned the next mission and Ashara said: "Yes, the Jedi spy. I prefer to capture him or her. Killing them is only necessary if they put up too much resistence. Then afterwards we can finally enjoy the night."

Phora stood nearby, leaning against the wall, and considering what happened…

Koren got a new apprentice, someone who might be interesting, and surely someone she should avoid for the time being. About this particular incident, how this girl happened to be here in a right place as he said, only one thing angered her…he intended to kill her orignally.

Then there was…

Cruze - Phora never understood him, he seemed to be emotional, and yet his control of emotions was…admirable, it is something she’s envious of. Nonetheless it’s fascinating how easily Cruze induces pain to one’s he kills, and never lets anger take control of him.

And lastly…

Phora couldn’t believe what was said, here she was worried about how Ashara was losing everything to dark side, and yet she still commits good deeds as she said...

Except that didn't make sense – life taken, cannot be given back by good deeds.

“Annoying…” She muttered.

Of all people, she almost forgot about...

Jalee - the one she likes most, maybe for how simple minded she is, or maybe because of her humor.
Considering all of it, now Phora understands why Rholdun left…

Cruze caught the saber as Koren force pushed it back to him. “Suit yourself.” Cruze said as he tucked both sabers away in his jacket. He never was one to duel with two sabers at one time, not exactly the form he trained in.

Cruze zoned in and out of what Ashara was saying. Cruze had heard many stories about what Ashara had done. He beliefed some of them, others he didn’t know if they were true or not but he didn’t really want to find out. Everyone has their secrets, everyone has their regrets. Plus Cruze didn’t really care, he cared if his allies were strong and could carry their own, and what he had seen, they can. Also he cared that they wouldn’t betray him. Much like Koren had said, Cruze does not appreciate betrayal, he once shot a crew member out the airlock for just trying to skim a couple credits from one of their missions.

“Annoying…” Cruze heard Phora mutter under her breathe. He was the closest to her, so he wasn’t sure if Ashara or Koren had also heard. “Careful there hun.” He whispered to her, as much as they didn’t see eye to eye, Cruze didn’t want her pissing off Ashara. Cruze looked back towards Ashara. “Ah yeah, it would be annoying if the spy would resist, but a little fun you got to admit.” Cruze said, he may or may not have been trying to cover up Phora’s mutter. “So shall we go then?”

"Annoying..." Ashara heard. She turned to Phora. "If you have an issue speak up. I need to know if you are just looking for trouble or have any sincere complaints. If you want things to go more your way, maybe you should take more initiative as second in command." Ashara said to Phora,

"Anyways we need to get going before the spy ends up disappearing on us." She continued. "Is everyone ready? Are all assailants dealt with?"

Cruze hiding her being annoyed, was surprising to say the least. Not that it mattered at the end, Ashara heard it anyway.

“Yeah I do, life taken, cannot be given back by good deeds. That’s my issue, I simply can’t understand your behavior.” She sighed, no matter how confusing it was to her, at least Ashara tried to do something to lighten weight that she carries on shoulders…and now Phora can’t help but realize how old she sounds without speaking it outloud.

“Still, let’s just leave it for later, now spy happens to be our main concern.”
