Jinx heard a snickering. She blinked away and yawned. She saw Guy looking at her. She frowned. She felt her hair going every which way but the right way. She then knew what he was snickering at. She smoothed her hands down her hair and shook out her dreads. She threw her jacket at him but smiled. "Very funny." She said folding her arms.

"You're right it is very funny." he joked. He reached in his back pack and pulled out another piece of bread, he walked over and handed it to her. he smiled, he was beginning to grow out of his natural shyness towards new people. Guy looked up into the morning sky. He then looked at jinx. "we should make a roof." he told her. "Before it rains." he finished his sentence.

Jinx gave him a slant smile. He walked over and handed her a piece of bread. She was starving. She's been surving solely on the water she created. She was grateful. "Thanks." She said and while she ate. She smiled at the sky. He then said they should build a roof. "Yeah." She said. " I Think I can manipulate some metal to make it sturdy." She said and felt an awkward silence about to happen. "So um, Before the storm? What were you?" She asked him. Hoping to break the ice.

Guy looked her in the eye. "Normal." he said simply. "I was a normal kid, went to a high school, had friends, a home." he continued on unaware he was speaking his thoughts. He looked at her. "what about you?" Guy asked. "By the looks of it you were in with the scene people." he said.

Jinx nodded. "I was in a Nu Metal Band. We were called Public School Rejects." She said and smiled at the memory but then smile faded. Her friends were all undoubtedly dead. She was there when they mutated. She looked over at him. "I was not scene." She said and gave him another slant grin.

Guy smirked. "had me fooled, you look like Heavy metal Cinderella." he joked. He lifted a bench from across the room with his telepathy and brought it to himself, he sat down on it and looked at her. "that suits you actually. Heavy metal Cinderella. Tough, Metal, and still feminine." guy said.

Jinx laughed. "Yea, Maybe I shoulda went with that, huh?" She said still laughing. "They called me Jinx cuz I'm terribly lucky." She said and leaned back on her elbows. "They figuring calling me anything else would "Jinx" it." She said and air quoted with her fingers. "I suppose they were right. I'm alive still." She said and sighed. She survived a car crash, a blazing house fire, the storm and the mutations afterward.

Matthew's feet slammed into the ground, a mixture of fear and adrenaline pumping through his veins. He leaped over a few mutants and sprinted forwards. He turned slightly, able to see them out the corner of his eye. There's one, two, three... Seven?! Shit! He thought, managing to avoid around five of the mutants by heading for a field. He finally thought he was in the clear..

And then shit happened.

He looked up, and saw one right in front of him. Stun rod raised, he kicked it to the ground and stood over it. "Light's out!" He shouted, and flicked the button for the electricity to turn on in the rod. He then slammed it into the Mutant's head, watching it fry.

He put the rod away, and turned around - No mutants. He assumed the others must've gotten bored or lost his scent.


Matthew let out a long, drawn out sigh, and walked through the field. He looked at a small form of shelter. Curious and both cautious, he walked towards it, hands ready for any combat. He stood behind one of the walls of the shelter, and peered his head in, before standing fully infront of the door. He knocked slowly, worried what might be in there.

"Hello? Anybody here?!"
