Introduction
Labs across the lands offer, in exchange for being a test subject, enough money to support yourself for almost two months. The funds given are enough for food, simple housing, and maybe new clothes if spent right. But always, the money runs out and many people go back to the labs, mainly the poor, the homeless, and the lower class who need more money then their jobs give. Not only does this happen to the financially strained, it also happens to those in trouble with the law. People will get time off sentences, the amount of time dependent on the mutation, and even a chance against the needle and the promise to live.
This new world isn't completely overrun with mutants and hybrids. The high class people don't need to burden themselves with getting experimented on. If you have enough money to get by, there's no need to have a mutation. Because this has been going on for almost a hundred years, the scientists have figured out how to reverse any mutations done to people, reverting them back to their pure human selves.
No society is perfect, and of course, there is a whole world beneath the outer shell of the great civilization that has become of the world. There are black markets, gangs, drug lords, club owners employing people to do their dirty work, and street rats. These rulers of the Underworld have managed to steal some way or another the technology for the mutations, punishing those who do them wrong with these black market experiments. Not all of them have the desired effects, seeing as the experiments are done illegally.
This is our place, the Underworld, the slums, the gangs, the clubs, the streets, the roofs, and the alleys. Kids, adults, anyone from all areas of life have somehow become involved with the underworld in some way or another. Are you stealing to get money to purify yourself? Maybe going to the labs regularly to get by? Or have somehow managed to stay pure and are just looking for you next meal. Whatever your story, it continues here.

As Rina was going over to Ezzie she heard Ikarus "Ezzie! You're in charge, i need a breather...." well now I don't need to get Ezzie for Ikarus, but I might as well go say hello, Ezzie was one person she counted as a friend and she loved hearing her sing. Walking over to Ezzie "Hey Ezzie, great singing tonight as always, have a good crowd in here tonight. Though there is a girl I noticed going around pickpocteting just so you know" as she was talking Rina grabbed her boots and gloves from her backpack, putting her gloves and boots back on. "So what actually needs to be done tonight do you know? If not ill go work at the bar, giving drinks out and dancing, what I do best" she finishes tying her boots and stands back up waiting for Ezzie's answer.

"Hey Rina; yeah I saw Dean grab his wallet back. Lemme see, I'm sure I can find something for you..." SHe twitched slightly as she looked around, running a hand through her hair and fluffing it up. "Little Rats by the back door, looks like they're lookin for somethin'll keep 'em warm... On me; there's a large bottle of some pretty weak alcohol under the counter, right here," She tapped the counter about half a hand's length to her left, "I gotta go sing again, could you hand that to 'em and get 'em a couple rolls from the kitchen? We can't do much to help 'em until after closing, wen all the money's come in, but we can do this much now..." She grinned at the smudge-faced boys who were looking timidly at her, just outside the door. "Love your outfit by the way," She winked at Rina as she made her way back to her place, straightening her skirt and swiping at a rather drunk man who had grabbed her rear. "That sweetheart isn't yours," she said with a smirk, bending his fingers backward before grabbing the mike, waving at the suddenly very loud crowd. Rina was right; there were a lot more here than normal. Shit, too many upgrades to the vocals again! Gonna have to get Ikarus to help me fix that; Wanted louder not to be a siren.......
"You have something of mine dear," Someone hissed,Carter jumped half a foot in the hair as the man swiftly put his hand in her pocket and took back his wallet, before pulling her closer. "I don't care how you get your money, but you steal from me again and I will add to those agile mutations of yours. I opened this club to help me pay for the kids around here." Carter didn't say anything, she just watched the man walk away before a scowl broke out across her face.
Some people just didn't understand how she worked. IF she beat you up then stole your money, their's no chance in hell your getting it back, but if she mearly pickpocketed you and you caught her, she'd give it back. Carter shook her head, some people were so uptight these days. Of course she was uptight as well, so when the other man walked over to her she felt her muscles tense as she got ready for any harm full movements.
"Hello there kitten..." He smiled at her but she eyes flashed, she hated being called Kitten, she was Not a kitten..She had claws, but before she could snap at him, he offered his drink. For a moment Carter stared at it, she hadn't had a drink in almost a year, not to mention she was underage...Ah the hell with it. Carter took the drink and took a small sip out of it, but she didn't relax, not in a place like this. "My friend is a little upset but don't worry, he's a big softy. Like a.... Like like a..... Like a big..... Marshmallow!!! Just.... White and.... Big'n gooey!! But they all burn the same!" He smiled at her again while she tried to understand what he meant. The man reached in his pocket and she felt herself gripping the glass in her hand so hard she thought it would brake, but it didn't. "Through, I think the latter would be much more tasty..." He stareed off into space, then jumped turning back to Carter. "Jaxon is the name! Charmed..." He seemed genuine enough...... But he had this funny look in his eyes, she couldn't place it through.
"Nice you meet you, the names Carter Lestat, and just so you know, I don't have your wallet, so what can I do ya for?" She raised an eyebrow and leaned on the railing, watching him closely. She felt her eyes wanted to change in the cat form, it was dark in here, but she didn't want to freak anyone out when her eyes started to glow. Of course that was the upside to her..cat mutations. she had no tail or strange ears. All she had to do through was touch him, and she'd know what was going on in his head right now..it would be easy enough...
"Not much, just wondering how miss kitty could be so reckless.... Don't let his charity fool you. No one likes to see a dead cat.. Bad for the children." He leaned over to whisper in her ear. "It's bad for their psyche growing up." He twirled a finger in his opposite hand in a circle as if saying they were coo'coo, but before their hands could touch, Jaxon withdrew his hand with a grin. "You seem a little eager for a touch little kitten.... What have you got in you bag'o tricks?" He chuckled, and turned leaning his back against the railing his eyes never leaving her face. He watched the ways her eyes adjusted, she had a mutation there. Those oh so delicate and effeminate looking hands held a secret too.... But something else huh? "Something that requires touch." Jaxon smirked, and looked away for a second spotting Addie watching them. "I think your other feline friend is watching us as well... friend of yours?" He smirked, and slowly turned to Carter with a smirk. He was getting all sorts of signs from this girl, and thus he was getting a better profile of who she was. "I'm one who enjoys games as well young lady, but I would like to politely ask that you do not play with me like a mouse toy." <Ha!!> He was loving these cat puns, that wince in her eyes he could tell she hated being called 'kitten' and such. It really didn't bother him any.
Jaxon turned back around and leaned way over the rail, putting his weight on it to look down. Quite frankly, it was as stupid thing to do. Especially in a place like this, a simple push of his feet and he would topple over and fall to the ground head first. But he just laughed, and leaned back up sighing happily and close his eyes with that same cheerful smile. "Well..... Now that we've covered formalities. I guess, I'll have to find an apartment... I wonder if they'll do a credit check?" As if the conversation he had with Carter never happened, he turned to walk away tapping his chin lightly with one finger. "I do hope I get to see Ikarus again.... We really should catch up."

Ashton
Ashton skated around, and made his way in front of The Merchant's shop and grinned. This was something to do, it was always fun to go window shopping. And who knew!! He might find something he wants, or needed. so the young kid kicked his board up, and stepped inside looking around. He kept his flat bill baseball cap down, with the red bandana showing proudly around his neck. "Hmmm....." He walked around, looking at this and looking at that. He preferred the stores around here much more, up town they didn't allow you to bring your board as you walked around. Or they forced him to take off his hat, or bandana. Those rich ass holes were always suspicious of his type.

Herald had just sold the last of his cloves of garlic, when he turned to the kid who was window shopping. "Hey, kid, anything you looking for specific? I got a lot of random sh-... items. Maybe I can help." He leaned on his counter, and although his eyes were glowing in his hood and were shaped as a lizards, he had a friendly feel about his appearance.
Ramon walked with Lynn at his side, he was keeping her close as he neard his friend and foe Ikarus's land, he had been hearing hints that shit was going down and wondered if he needed help. You cant survive in this world without people like Ikarus in the world. Like it or not they needed each other, but as he neared he noticed that it appeard to just be over busy. Useless rats made it sound like death himself had shown up to dance. Lynn didnt leave his side, she had somehow managed to change out of her work clothes and was now in a ratty sweatshirt and gray jeans with her combat boots.
Seeing Ikarus Ray walked toward the man, "Ikarus!" He called out before nodding to the man, "I thought death came to tango the way the rats were talking about your place tonight I was coming to help but instead it looks like you place is just busting at its seams." He laughed but his eyes asked the other man if he needed help.
Jayliynn
Lynn though let her eyes wonder but she never left Rays side, their was many people she hadnt meet here and that was always a bad sign becasue she was more likly to get in trouble if people didnt recongize her and tried to hussle her. It wasnt her fault when one or two went flying through windows becasue they tried to touch her. One rule, dont touch her. Nodding to Ikarus respectfully she touched Ray's arm and nodded to the bar before slipping from the two men to get somthing to drink.

Rina then grabbed the bottle of the weak alcohol, then made her way through the crowd. A couple guys tried to make a move on her but she just give them a look that would pretty much told them donβt even dare. She went to the kitchen first grabbing a few rolls the went out to the back door. She saw the little rats there.
βHey little ones here is a few rolls and drinks, its all we can do right now, kay? Make sure it lasts.β
The little rats nodded and thanked her grabbing the rolls and drinks like they havenβt ate in days. Poor kids, if only we could do more, she thought to herself as she made her way back through the club to the bar. She gave a nod to the other worker there and then looked at the customers βOkay who is next for a drink?β She got herself to work and looked up to the stage to Ezzie, always loving it when the girl sang, the girl definately had a gift.
Faustino wasn't in pain anymore thankfully the medicine was kicking in. He sat listening to the singing which soothed him as he allowed his feet to barely touch the ground of the floor. Wiggling his toes a bit to make sure he could still move them which they moved which was a sure sign he wasn't going to loose his legs anytime soon thankfully. After sitting on the stool of the bar for a bit his bottom and his upper half of his legs were going numb. It was time to leave and get to food by what he guessed. His face was starting to swell from the bruises from earlier fight which was a new smaller pain. Slowly he got up from the stool at the bar and began to walk to the door. Faustino accidentally bumped into a female with teal and black hair normally he would apologize, but he ended up falling flat on his face since he was still not use to his own new feet. He groaned in pain and attempted to get up. "I'm sorry."

"Hey, kid, anything you looking for specific? I got a lot of random sh-... items. Maybe I can help." Ashton turned and smirked, seeing the reputable salesman addressing him. "Yeah.... I could use some random shit in my life. But I'm not looking for anything in particular, what do you got?" He stepped over, and looked up at the taller man knowing that he was surrounded with mystery. He adjusted his bandana around his neck, and stood there tilting his hat up so that there eyes can meet. He knew this was going to be interesting, this man usually had good things to sell not all the times at best quality but the prices weren't astronomical.
She headed down the street, planning out her moves. She had been inside the club a few times before, not to drink or dance, but she was smaller back then and went with a few of the others for some food once in awhile, a place to stay in the winter, and she never forgot the layout to a building she had been inside. There was the main floor, the bar, the kitchen, the stage, stairs that lead to a balcony and then a few offices and rooms leading off from there. As she thought back, she could remember the one that he always disappeared behind, marking that one as his room, where it was most likely the best place for her to get the arm.
She paused just outside the building, if he was on the balcony, it had a perfect view of the entire place, meaning she would be spotted going in from the front entrance. She headed around back and saw some smaller kids there, the little rats getting a few rolls of bread and a bottle of alcohol to share; it was one of the colder nights anyway. As the kids ran off she caught the door with her foot before it closed all the way and glanced inside, a little relieved as she saw whoever it was giving the kids the food and drink(Rina) was already going another direction. Giving her the perfect chance to get inside, and of course took her chance. Rarely on a job did you ever get a second chance to do something, it was there, you take it or sometimes you fail.
Once she was inside she pulled up her hood, pushing all her hair inside to make sure that there was no chance of anyone even guessing she was a girl, then zipped up her jacket just below the nape of her neck and mentally checked to make sure the bandages she had wrapped around her torso were secure, then headed into the more crowded area of the club. There were tons of people in there, but with the lights focused on the dance floor, it made the walls and corners very dark and making her job easier of being unnoticed as she found the stairs, and started going up. Not many came up to the balcony she noticed, a person or two had wondered up here and none of them noticed her. This was going to be easy, she thought, a simple in, out, gone, and have enough money to keep her set for months, not having to steal for months to get what she needed.
She came to the door she had recalled was Ikarusβs and turned the knob, thankful that this was a well kept place enough so that it didnβt rattle, or the door squeak as she silently opened it enough for her to slip inside and close it again. With a quick glance around the room she noted there were no windows, a bed on one end, a large desk on the other, and near the bed was a small table with the arm on it. She could see a bundle in the sheets, shaped like a person; he must be sleeping so she would have to be more careful taking the arm than she wanted. Her steps were light, silent and swift, getting her right next to the table and she lifted the arm. It was rather heavier than she expected but the design was magnificent, one of the best contraptions she had seen in a long while. Taking the arm she held it close, no room in any of her pockets to officially place it in for the time being. Her steps her same as before, silent so that she wouldnβt wake the person in bed and headed back over to the door to make her escape.

"This is one of a kind, kid. It looks pretty plain... but if you know anything about boards, which I am certain you do, then you'll know what I'm saying when I tell you this is an Acero 551. Acero's newest model of board. New bearings, fresh and never used wheels, great friction-tech grips for maneuvering. The only difference is that I painted it to look normal. I get nice items once in awhile, but if the Authority catches a street man like me peddling brand new objects, that cost hundreds of credits... Well, I just can't have that. So I am willing to give this board to you, without any money cost, for a simple favor. I got a package two days ago. A man requested some business... Some bloody business." Herald figured the truth would be required for this boy to even consider cooperating. "I won't get detailed, but all I can say is that in this package is a head. A man's head. Do not, under any circumstances, get caught with this package. Most street cops don't know jack, but any high ranking official will know this as an assassin's package from yards away. Use that board to get you there, and tell me what you think of it. If it isn't to your liking, we'll see about different payment."
Herald walked past the kid. He knew that this kid could easily run off with the board, and ditch the package wherever he wanted. But he had trust in his people. Most people had trusted in him. So he had to lean on it. Of course, he knew it was a scary job. But if he could get the kid on his side, he could definitely use a reliable hand. "The man who the delivery is to, call him by Veral. He lives fourteen blocks east, in Uderon Alley. He hangs around an old, banged up car that has a white X spray painted on the back window. This is kind of late, but my name's Herald. Call me whatever fits your fancy. What do I call you by?" Whatever the kid's response is, Herald finally says; "Well, you think you can do this for me?"
A second later, however, he turned back to Carter, no longer taking any notice of Addie. He leaned over the rail, and Addie got the impression that he would just as soon fall over as straighten. He did stand up again, said something about an appartment, and walked off. Addie had no doubt that he was deranged, but that wasn't totally unusual here. In fact, it was expected. Some of those who actually knew her past would say she was deranged for leaving such a priviledged life, and even more for not returning when she experienced the sheer poverty and crime here. Most of the time, Addie would just shrug and change the subject. She cared little what others thought of her decisions.
Sure that the man had really left, Addie approached Carter, her gaze still on the man's retreating form and she saw a closing door, but took no real notice of it. Her attention turned back to Carter and she asked, "You okay? That guy was a few cards short of a full deck, if you know what I mean. Not terribly unusual I suppose, but still..." she paused a moment, looking out over the club, "not all that much fun to deal with."

He watched the young Rat as he turned his back on him, believing the older club owner to be asleep; this kid was good. Not even a squeak from the door, or a wrongly placed footfall. The kid lifted the robotic arm, looking at it intensely. So he had come to steal it? It was quite an expensive bit of machinery, even more so because the materials he had used were rare to Rats. He moved quickly as the kid examined his target, the weight of it and how he would be able to hide it as he left.... Ikarus moved just as silently as the kid had, making his way to the door. On his way he lifted a small metal box from its place on the nightstand; inside was another rare item: a set of sedatives. You didn't find these on the black market, or here in the slums in general, but Ikarus had aqquired some. Stuffing the box with one end open into his pocket, he stood by the door, just as the kid made to leave. "Just where do you think you're going kid? That arm belongs to me, and I am quite tired of people attempting to steal from me..... "
"Just where do you think you're going kid? That arm belongs to me, and I am quite tired of people attempting to steal from me..... " So close, so close, so CLOSE! Her body froze in place the moment he spoke, how the hell did he get from the bed to the door?? Her eyes looked over at the bed, it still looked like there was a person there, then it hit here, stupid that she was, there were probably pillows and blankets under there. She should have watched for movement, making sure he was breathing under there before going over and taking the arm. Her shoulders slumped a little in defeat. She was caught, no denying it, no way out of it at the moment; she had to own up to the fault.
She turned to face Ikarus, looking up at him and held out the arm to him. βSeems you caught me. Heard you were a great rat yourself, makes sense another wouldnβt be able to take from you.β She gave him a smile, one she hoped looked nice enough to make it look like she was in awe of him. Which she was, he was one of the few rats to actually make something of himself and provide for others like him. Not many made it passed their older teens, sometimes in their twenties due to drug wars and feuds and general malnourishment. βHereβs the arm, not gone so, no harm no foul right?β
She wasnβt entirely sure what would happen, she knew that those who took from him ended up with mutations most of the time, but she hadnβt taken from himβ¦right? The arm wasnβt gone, it was still in the room even, definitely not gone, hence not stolen. Hopefully she wouldnβt get punished by the other man for not getting the armβ¦

The bluehaired man laughed darkly at the kid as he took his arm back, slamming the little rat into the back wall, away from the door. "I can't have that," He let his voice trail into an almost simpering tone, reflecting a venomous gaze that had turned blacker than normal,"I've given out too many freebies, they'll think I've gone soft.... A soft Rat always turns up dead, don't you know that kid?" He blinked slightly, wincing as he forced his arm back into place and tilting his head. "Do you know who I am ki--girl?" He smiled at the long hair, the feminine face. Definitely a Mouse, or so some of the richer Rats would call them. "Or how I happened to have the need to make this arm?"
Ezzie
The caramel-skinned girl watched as the crowd began to diminish, Dan(the barkeep, sorry I had to give him a name x.x) had started cutting people off. A few younger Teen Rats were helping those too drunk to walk properly to the door. Everything had been relatively quiet through the night, but there were still a few hours until the bar closed at sunrise. With a sigh, she pulled out an extremely old acoustic guitar--the kind no one played now, everything was electrified--and began to sing soft, slow songs. A muffled bang, something only a trained Rat would here, came from Dean's room. "Seems someone pissed him off again," she thought to herself, eyes closing sadly as the songs continued.
She let out a gasp as she was slammed against the back wall, away from the door, away from freedom. Again, so close, so close, so close, kept playing through her mind. She watched as Ikarus put the arm back on, his hand still holding her firmly against the wall. It crossed her mind that she could kick out at him and make her escape, though she didnβt think she would be strong enough to do it. Then she paused, there was a weight around her shoulders that wasnβt there before. Then she started going pale, no no nonono, no no! Her hood had fallen, her hair coming out of its knot enough to stop at her shoulders even though the full length would fall almost to her thighs.
Then Ikarus noticed, calling her a girl, and her face went white, probably noticeable in the dark of the room. Not once had she been found out, especially not while doing a job. Tonight was definitely not her night, so far everything had gone wrongβ¦well not everything, she did get inside the building perfectly. Now she just needed to find a way out of the situation, she was pinned, and her cover blown. Guess she would just have to go along with whatever was going on. She took a deep breath, getting over the fact that he figured out her gender, and met his eyes. βIβm sorry, I donβt know what happened for you have to make that arm.β Maybe the goal for this one was to keep him talking, maybe show him a reason to let her go.

Ikarus chuckled at the girl, who's eyes flickered with varying fears and bits of confusion. He had apparently done something that had never been done before with this girl when he had caught her. Or perhaps it was that he had found her to be female.... He shook his head, continuing the chuckle to cover his thoughts. now wasn't the time to ponder what it was he had done to startle her. "I got it lopped off after attempting to steal food, kiddo. Hadn't walked two steps toward the door when I got caught by one of the Bosses. He wanted payment, and took my arm." He smirked, shifting his hold on her so he wasn't near choking her; instead, his robotic arm--much stronger than his flesh one--gripped tight into her shoulder. "I expect payment this time," As he spoke, he looked her over. Now that he had seen her face, he mentally kicked himself; how had he not seen it before? The clothing was several sizes too big, it seemed, making it obvious that she was hiding more than possibly stolen wares..... He then came back to looking at her eyes. There were a lot of things one could find there, if they knew how to look. "I'll start with something small. You know me, would have to know me and my place pretty damn well in order to find this room. So who are you?" Let her think she might get out free. But already he was thinking of several forms of payment, some worse than others, to inflict on the girl.
She kept eye contact with Ikarus, seeing as she always knew that was the right thing to do, and she didnβt want to offend him, or make him mad, mainly because she knew at the moment he had many means as which take payment from her if he wanted. She listened to him, and she thought it a bit over ridiculous to take someoneβs arm over some stolen food. She was lost in thought, barely noticing that he had changed his grip from his real arm to his robotic one, which had a much stronger grip, and had looked her over. She almost shuddered, that was one of the reasons she kept up a persona as a boy, she hated the things that could be done to a Mouse, as they sometimes called the girls.
When he asked for payment she did shudder, a small one, hopefully unnoticeable, though a slight fright in her eyes may have been noticeable, she wasnβt too good at hiding those emotions quite yet. Nowadays, payment could be anything, and she didnβt feel like doing anything for him in payment for something that still remained in his possession, feeling slight annoyance with the man, she tilted her head a little at his question. It seemed a little too easy. βEveryone calls me Krys. And yes I know the place; youβve let me sleep in here a few times during a winter or two. I never forget the setup of a building Iβve been in, just used reason to deduce this was the room I would find your armβ¦β
She hoped he didnβt read too much into her emotions, she didnβt like much when people could read her so easily when she hid so much. Her shoulder was aching, throat a little sore from being slammed back, and her ego seriously hurt. This wasnβt going to go over well with the man who wanted the job done, and if the other contacts she knew found out. She wouldnβt be eating for awhile would be an understatement of things to come. If you couldnβt make a name for yourself, you didnβt surviveβ¦

At the girl's answer, he loosened his grip just a bit. No reason to hurt someone who was answering so easily; not a threatening word in the reply, save for a bit of smart-assery about how she found the room. With a slight chuckle, he sat back onto the bed, eyes becoming hawklike as he gestured to the chair across from him, giving her arm one final squeeze before he let go. I am twice her size, and she would be stupid to try and escape right now. That door is closed, meaning she would have to take a moment to get it open again. Then there's the matter of getting down without being caught by me or Ezzie..... He smiled a little, head slightly tilted.
"Who sent you after this rather expensive bit of tech? Not many would have balls enough to attempt the theft of this at all, fewer would have been stupid enough to send someone else; I'm not easily forgiving, but I find seeking my full payment from the employer more honorable. Telling me would save you quite a bit, might even get you a bit of a reward from the club. No one outside the Wing would know of what happened here tonight, I can assure you of that," he said silkily, reaching over and grabbing a few tools from their drawer in the desk and beginning to finish the attatchment. This showed that he trusted the little Rat wouldn't try anything to further piss him off; he bit back a small cry of pain, the sound an odd moan/yelp as the last handful of nerves connected. His entire arm felt like it was on fire, reminding him how much pain he had been in when he had finally gotten the courage to put the damned thing on for the first time. Back then, there had been no choice but to feel that pain; had he drugged himself, he might not have gotten each nerve connected, making the arm function improperly. Instead he had endured almost a day and a half of burning, writhing agony without being able to move. Now that the tech available to Rats had improved, that wasnt nessessary, but he made sure he kept at least some of that feeling. I will never force someone to endure what I have, especially if they aren't the direct theif. This girl was merely the equipment used for the attempt, who wants this thing so badly?
Krys just watched Ikarus carefully, trying to figure out what his game was, it was always a game. Try and make you think you did nothing wrong and you were going to get off free for explaining things, maybe give all the details of the one who hired her, make her steal from them instead, or possibly blackmail for later, find out things about her so she would have to comply with whatever he wanted to make sure he didnβt tell anyone what she didnβt want to get out. Either way she couldnβt yet figure out what he was trying to do by just having her answer simple questions for him. Her mind was reeling, trying to see all the motives, the ways out, the comebacks that would get him pissed off, or relaxed a bit, there were so many things she could do and not do that may or may not, get her out. It was like a mind game, one that she played often but happened to change constantly.
He motioned to a chair after giving her arm one last squeeze, probably telling her to stay. Which was quite obvious, she didnβt have the strength to try and beat him, maybe the speed to get out the door, but not enough to dodge all the people outside who might possibly be waiting even as they spoke. So she sat, arms reaching up and skillfully knotting it into what looked like a simple ponytail, expertly hiding how long her hair actually was, she wondered briefly if he could figure out how long it actually was, seeing as he was probably as observant as she was. I found out the specifics and came. I think I was the only one who had the guts to come seeing as no one accepted and kept pointing the guy to me.β Which was also true, Danny and told the guy she would be able to do it, and the kid in the alley where she found the man had told him to come right to her first. She was more an Rat than the guys, she would hate to be officially found out to be Mouseβ¦

Ikarus frowned, rubbing his forearm annoyedly. THis girl didn't know? Well, that was disappointing.... "That was a foolish thing to do; a good Rat always finds out at least an alias of the client, thus making sure that if they have to give that information out to keep from getting killed they are able. Can you tell me what your employer looks like?" He twitched slightly as Ezzie knocked on the door; the sound of the heel of her palm on the old wood was unmistakable. He frowned slightly, throwing the wrench in his hand at the door. With a small startled squeak, Ezzie muttered an appology, sitting with her back to the door. He shifted the needle hidden in his hand slightly; he was itching to use it, to take the girl down so she couldn't escape.....
