Who are you?
Male Bearer of Light.

What are you like?
Loy is the kind of person who gives off an easygoing impression due to his calm and carefree attitude. And indeed, he rarely ever makes a big deal out of anything, believing that everything has a solution and that things will always work out somehow. He always tries to look on the positive side of things and doesn't stress about them until they get out hand; however, he also tends make up these "positive sides" and often fails to properly understand the gravity of a situation. Even though most people would label him as a lazy person, he is actually very diligent in what he truly wants to do. He doesn't judge any person or situation until he has a good understanding of them, even if it takes him several days and hours of thought to do so; while this would sound like a natural thing to do, he actually takes it more seriously than would be expected, applying this even to the Bearers of Darkness. He is very forgetful and disorganized.

While not exactly a completely selfless person who strolls around performing saintly deeds, Loy is still a very charitable man who is always willing to help anyone who truly need his help and has even been known to secretly use the Sword of Virtue's healing capabilities on others at times. In many occasions he will actually disregard a lot of his time (including working time, which has gotten him fired before) in order to lend a hand to others. However, almost every time he tries to help, he becomes so fixated with the main problem that he ends up causing more damage than what he was trying to avoid (like trying to stop a burglar from robbing a store and succeeding at recovering the money only after breaking half of the things in the store without realizing). Nonetheless, he still tries to lend a hand by convincing himself the next time things will go better and, even though he fails to realize this, sometimes he at least manages to transmit some of his ideology to others.

His naivete and unwillingness to kill or hurt others, including the Bearers of Darkness, is keeping him from accepting the fact that he has gotten himself into a battle royal and he has yet to realize the full weight of what being the wielder of the Sword of Virtue and a Bearer of Light entails.

Why do you have that sword?
Loy is a firm believer in the inherent good nature of humanity and is convinced that the acts of malice that taint the world spawn from the people's inability or lack of interest in understanding each other and as a result of many centuries of social acceptance of that behavior. Dreaming about a world in which people are able to truly feel each other's joy and suffering, he has come to the assumption that if the Shrine was able to bring sin and cruelty to the world, then it should be able to grant the gift of empathy as well. That said, he is not set on destroying humanity's negative emotions, as he believes they are also part of everyone's nature. With the objective to remind everyone of the meaning of sharing emotions and spreading his message on his way, Loy hopes to use the Shrine to give this wake-up call to the world with the help of the Sword of Virtue.

What can you do?
While Loy has been trained to some extent in the use of swords when he was young, his ability at handling them can at most be described as average, lacking in technique, fluidness and combining attacks with big movements (acrobatics and such). This results in his fighting style being poor at counter-strikes and unable to maintain a strong offensive for long, often forcing him to remain in the defensive. However, he makes up for those flaws with highly accurate hand-eye coordination, top-notch reflexes and incredible creativity. Hence, despite having poor technique, Loy can be an extremely unpredictable opponent able to block many consecutive attacks and his strikes, while few, are usually able to achieve their purpose. Added to his great stamina, it can be said that Loy is the kind of fighter who waits for the perfect strike that won't need a second one. While demonstrating a lot of potential for one-on-one fights, he is not proficient at facing multiple opponents.

He is also able to employ most of the skills inherent in the Sword of Virtue, showing a clear preference and specialty in the healing techniques. While able to heal not only wounds, but also some illnesses, his true proficiency in the use of this skill shows in his ability to restore even objects to their original form. This talent can even become lethal, as one of the many uses he gives it is to enhance the sharpness of the Sword of Virtue herself, hereby allowing him to cleanly cut through things his strength alone would never allow him to. The abilities of possession and mind control are a different story though. Since it goes against his principles, Loy has never even used them nor is he likely to employ them under any circumstances, which means that if he was ever somehow forced to actually do so, he would lack practice and wouldn't be able to maintain them for long.

Other than fighting, he is very independent and is good at taking care of himself, being able to cook, clean, etc.

Whats it like being you?
Loy was born as the only son of a middle-class family. Despite not having any siblings, his outgoing personality and good nature were present in him even in his youngest days, so he never felt lonely nor like he lacked someone to share his deepest thoughts with (not like he ever was a deep thinker, mind you). Although his family wasn't exactly rich, he never felt like he lacked anything and it can definitely be said that he had a good and promising childhood in that aspect. The events that would eventually lead to him becoming a Bearer of Light would also start to take place from a young age.

While a very social kid, Loy would develop his closest friendship with another boy living in the neighborhood called Drystan, who would eventually also attend Elementary School in the same class as him. Being too young and still unaware of exactly how the world worked, Loy failed to understand from a young age that, unlike his parents, Drystan's family didn't have enough money to support their son nor the options his parents did. Even until almost entering Middle School, Loy still remained oblivious to his friend's struggles and would usually attribute his complaints about not having money as simply him being cheap or anything else that fit the situation. Once the two of them graduated from Elementary School, Drystan was forced to assist a small public Middle School while Loy moved on to his first choice. The son of the poor family began to take notice of his family's dire situation and began to help them by doing chores considering the notion of not attending High School in order to work, hereby limiting his own free time. Noticing the growing distance between them but not the reason behind it, Loy confronted his friend and accused him of being irrational and selfish for suddenly cutting ties with him. The discussion escalated into a fist fight and, after the event, the two kids who had once been best friends stopped talking to each other altogether.

Even though Drystan would move away after that, it wasn't the last time the two of them would meet and it wouldn't be until that second encounter that Loy would understand the importance of empathy. Since he hasn't shared his memory with anyone, it is unknown what happened exactly at that time, but it served for Loy to develop his current ideology and what would become his reason for becoming a Bearer of Light later on. After turning 18 and graduating from High School, he decided to postpone his entrance into college and instead moved away from his home, moving from one place to another and changing jobs often in order to experience many different things. It was at some point between that time and the present that the Sword of Virtue appeared before him and he decided to fix the wrongs he had seen around him.

What Else?
Loy is 20 years old; he lives in a small apartment and works part-time jobs to pay rent and expenses. He likes spicy food, reggae music and sleeping.
