Camps and settlements hidden from the machines scatter the globe, filled with people scavenging for food, clean water, and warmth, are defended by the fighters of the Resistance. In this time of fear and hopelessness, there are several that choose to remain hopeful and brave. However, only the future can tell the rest of the story. Zeke slowly wiped the sleep away from his eyes as he made his way down the corridors to the briefing room. He had hardly got any sleep same as all the other nights, continuously looking at the the photo of him and his fiance over and over. Endlessly wanting to revenge on the machines.
He was greeted in the briefing room by his Lieutenant, with a rather unenthusiastic tone. "Williams. Glad you could make it. We have word from the North about some possible machine camps located thirty miles North from here."

Zeke walked over to the table in the center of the room and gazed down at the map spread across the table, still rubbing away the sleep from his eyes.
"Connor's is giving us this one in hopes that we can distract the attention from the machines main holding facility while his units move in and free the POW's. So, we have to do this thing right gentlemen. If we do our job, the machines should send a majority of their units to help defend the other camps."

Zeke noticed the four circles marked around the map, as the Lieutenant pointed to them. "These are where we think the camps are or should be in the vicinity. Williams?," Zeke looked up to the Lieutenant, "I want your division on this camp to the far northwest." Zeke acknowledge, "Yes, sir."

"Borax, your company will be on the north camp, Steer, you'll be on the south, and Hawk, you'll be on the south east." The men all acknowledged.
"We will have transports waiting for each company at 2100. Have your men ready by then," said the Lieutenant to his men.

"We are flying blind on this was sir?" asked Zeke with a concerned voice. "Yes. The camps are fairly small and have little need for much inside information. We mostly need to do a smash and grab job on these camps so the machines will decided to place more defense on each rather then on the facility."
Zeke nodded, but was still somewhat concerned about running into a camp with little knowledge of what they may encounter.
"Any further questions? Your all dismissed." Zeke once again nodded to the Lieutenant then headed for the door way.

Zeke made his way back down the hall to his room, with his feet still dragging behind him. He was sure that if he was to get this mission completed, he would need more sleep. However, living in this world and this age, sleep was hard to come by. Especially when your enemy never sleeps.

Not that she had much of connection to the people in the camp, they had all just kind of found each other and then decided to camp together.

Deciding she should give up leaving the cave for a while she pulled out her sleeping bag and went to sleep; it was hard getting sleep now days so you take whatever advantage you can get.

"Zeke!" Zeke's eye's had started to close finally, when he heard his friend and fellow Sargent Chris Shores running down the hall calling his name. "Zeke!" Zeke sat up in his bed and looked at his door waiting to see his friend. Chris ran into the doorway, panting with out a single breath to be had.
"There's... There's a settlement about 20 miles from here that is under attack," Chris said with in a few short breaths.
Zeke's face remained plain and unchanged. This was nothing new. The machines had been clearing out camps night and day with no rest, and every camp was in need of help. At least three camps where under attack each week, and the Resistance would only manage to save one each week. Though with some small chances of luck, they would save two, rarely.
"My men and I are going to help, and we are in need of another group." Zeke got up from his bed and made his way over to his dresser, still burned by the horrifying events of Judgement Day. He opened one of the drawers containing only a box of cigars and a few trinkets here and there. Zeke placed one of the cigars in his mouth and light the end with his lighter from the drawer.
"The Lieutenant has my division attacking a POW camp at 2100," said Zeke as he blew smoke into the room. Chris's face then turned melloncolly as he felt he would not like the response he was about to here from Zeke.
"Will have to make it quick."
Chris's face then became much more static as he heard what Zeke's reply was. "Good. Will be heading out in ten min. So get your gear to gather and your men and meet at the depo," replied Chris as he made his way out the door and back down the hall in a hurry once more.
Zeke grabbed his rifle off the dresser in front of him, then placed the lighter back in the drawer and closed it. He placed the rifle around his shoulder, then grabbed the picture off the dresser as well.
In the picture stood a young women in casual clothing, long light brown hair, and hazel eyes, laughing as she tried to cover up the camera lens with her hand. Her beauty illuminated the picture, even though it wasn't much of a typically nice photograph. Zeke kissed the picture, then folded it up and placed it in his pocket. He then grabbed his helmet off the dresser and made his way down the hall to gather his men together.

Zoey managed to get a couple hours of sleep in she had woke up with a start after a nightmare had plagued her dreams. She pulled herself out of the sleeping bag, neatly rolled it and replaced it in it's place in her pack. She sighed and decided she should try to get out of the cave; from what Zoey could tell the machine had given up on her, "Thank God" she said. She peeped her head out of the entrance of the cave she pulled her gun from her holster and started find her way somewhere else. She felt her conscience twinge as she hiked in the opposite direction of the camp but she had to think of her own life and going back would be a death wish.

Zeke made his way out to the depo to see some of his own men already loading into the transport. Chris was already waiting for him, anticipating his arrival. "finally! Now we can leave." Zeke climbed into the transport and sat down in one of the seats near the door. Chris shut the door behind him, as the ships engines began to accelerate and prepare for take off.
Zeke began to look down through the transport ship and take count of all of his men. Each one was accounted for, except for one who he knew was already out of combat for a raging headache and vomiting.
The soldier sitting next too Zeke held his rifle close to his chest, as if he were trying to mold it to his chest. "You scared," yelled Zeke to the soldier over the sound of the transport taking off. The soldier looked at him and gave a slight nod. Zeke smiled, "Just remember! They are a lot like humans, just tougher. Take out the head and they end up useless." The soldier nodded to Zeke once more, still holding fear deep with in his eyes.
The solder's glare turned forward to the knees of the man in front of him. Zeke, then pulled out the photo from his pocket and unfolded it. He stared it for a few seconds, then showed it to the soldier.
"She was to be my wife. Till Judgement Day happened." The soldier stared at the picture very intently.
Zeke folded up the picture and placed it back in his pocket. He turned his attention back to the soldier and stared deep into his eyes. "The biggest thing we have over the machines is our passion for life! We have something we live for and fight for, while all they fight for is what they are told to do! If there is anything you will need in this war more than a weapon, it's our passion for life and to survive!"
The soldier focused all his attention on the transport floor, taking in every word Zeke had told him. He then rested the rifle back on the floor and stopped shaking. He no longer had a look of fear in his eye, and more of a sense of hope covering the fear.
Zeke smiled at the soldiers expression, soon brightening his own mood and moral. He then thought to himself, if there is no point in fighting for what we love and cherish, why would we even bother to fight at all?

Zoey was getting closer to other people and she was trying not to but it looked like she was coming up on another camp; there was rumors flying through the group that the resistance was about to help out a camp in trouble. Now Zoey had thought of joining the resistance before but her fear of dieing always seemed to stop her. Yes the machines had killed her entire family and what was left of the reservation village she had lived in, she stopped where there was a pair of children cowering next to a little shop that someone had set up in the makeshift camp.

They looked like they hadn't eaten in God knows when, dirt covered they from head to toe and, they stayed close to one another to try to stay warm. Zoey sighed she couldn't stand to see kids like this, she wished that people would think before they brought children into this horrible world; but it wasn't like their parents had much of a choice. All means of birth control were long gone and sometimes two people didn't have much better to do than screw around. She pulled her pack off her shoulder, knelt down, and smiled at the children; "You hungry?" she asked.

The children eagerly nodded their heads; Zoey unzipped her pack and pulled out a couple of MRE's that she had scavenged. The children's eyes lit up like the fourth and they tore into the food as quickly as Zoey handed it to them. Their mother came to the front of the makeshift stand and mouthed thank you to Zoey as she walked away. She smiled, and nodded at the mother who looked to be pregnant; throwing her pack on her shoulder Zoey knew that would definitely cut into her own supplies but the look on the kids face was entirely worth it.

You could hear the sound of explosions off in the distance, echoing over the sound of the engines. Zeke pressed his face up against the window behind him, as he could now see the smoke and and fire coming from the settlement ahead. "We are entering the Red Zone!"
The soldier sitting next to Zeke looked confused. He turned to Zeke for answers, but Zeke just gave him a nod. He knew that the young soldier would soon find out what the Red Zone is.
The transport then banked sharply to the right, as the ship began to shake from the artillery explosion close by. The ship continued to bank sharply from left to right, dodging artillery fire all around it. This was the Red Zone.
The transport began to make a gradual decent outside the camp. Once the transport had landed, Chris threw open the door, and yelled for everyone to exit. Zeke stepped out and began to help all the others get out. Once everyone had exited the transport, the engines began to accelerate again. Zeke ducked down near an old truck laying on its side. His team followed, as he then took a head count to make sure everyone was with the team.
He then peered around the truck to see what was happening near the settlement. It appeared as though they had arrived to late, and majority of the camp had already been killed or taken captive.
Zeke noticed the building on the far outer edge of the camp was empty. "Alright! Jack, Tonic, and Frees, make your way to the north-west side of the camp! The rest of you, follow me to the south-west building! While converge at the center of the settlement!" The men nodded to Zeke, some with uncertainty on their faces, and some with no sign of fear at all. None the less, it was time to go to work.

Zoey could hear explosions in the distance and assumed the rumors were true about the resistance and she knew it was where she had just came from. People stood around and watched the light show in the distance for just a moment and then they started to pack up shop. She watched as the mother from before snatched her children up and started dragging them along. "Hey you got a gun why don't you go help" said an elderly man Zoey turned to him "Do I have stupid written on my forehead or something. Besides this guns like throwing rocks at a machine", she said. The old mans brow furrowed and he turned to go hide with the women and children. "Pssh figures" said Zoey "All that talk and he didn't have plans to damn thing, typical" Zoey stood there debating on whether she should stay in the humble community or make a break for it, some men where yelling and running with pulse rifles to the village entrance. "Damn resistance don't think about shit when they go in and start blowing machines up, they're gonna run them bastards right here" said a man that was missing most of the teeth in his mouth and the ones he had were black and rotten.

Zoey shook her head and prepared to head in the opposite direction of the town once again but she was stopped, a man in old dusty camo and stopped her by grabbing her shoulder. "Just where the hell do you think you're going squaw" he said with a chuckle as he reached down and pulled her pistol out of her holster. Zoey could feel her blood boil at the comment if there was anything she hated was someone who was prejudice "What do we have here pretty, little thing"; he reached down and pulled Zoey gun out of the holster. "Hmm are you a decent shot must be if you have a gun aint no one around here got a gun and don't know how to use it. The man was just slightly taller than Zoey with salt and pepper hair, and beard. He was missing one eye and didn't even bother to cover it up, his breath smelled of rancid alcohol , bad cigarettes, and vomit. Zoey tried hard not to breath in his self made noxious fumes, "Yeah so what if I am a good shot" she said trying not to gag.

He squeezed down hard on her shoulder and directed her towards the front along with a group of other unsavory men. "Either you help pick off some machines, or..." he stopped took in a deep breath smelling Zoey's hair; "Or we make sure you have allot of fun before we die, you catch my drift". Zoey could take this guy on but not the entire group, so she nodded and hs shoved a pulse rifle in her hands; "This'el do allot better job than your shitty ass glock". The other group of men cat called and whistled as Zoey went up to the front of the lines. "These assholes I bet everyone around here thinks they're resistance and all they are is crooks preying on innocent desperate people. I bet you a dime there's a hole in doughnut they've been practically getting away with murder around here Zoey thought to herself. It was common for bandits to put on the guise of being protectors and then rob the people of the little they did have; including their dignity.

They were right the machines where coming right at them, Zoey looked through the scope of the pulse rifle and soon had three down before they made it to entrance of the village, "Well lookie there she can shoot" said another of the bandits. Zoey could here the fire from the resistance soldiers as the too made it closer to the camp. That's when things started to heat up and the machines didn't know what to do with humans in front of them ans behind them. Zoey continued picking off machines the best way she could.

"Move!" yelled Zeke to his men, as they all separated and made their ways to their positions. Zeke led his squad to the south-west building with little resistance. He sent his two best men up to the roof of the building to give cover fire, then directed the other five to follow him.
In all honesty, Zeke had no idea what he was about to do. All he knew was, he had to save as many lives as he could before the machines took the entire camp. The squad followed Zeke over to the next building, all keeping a close distance between each other.
Zeke peeked his head over a window ledge and saw five terminators rushing toward a small group of citizens trying to escape. Zeke quickly pointed to the five machines and yelled to his squad. "Take'm out!"
Zeke pointed his rifle at each of the machines, firing as carefully as possible in order to make every shot count. Each of the machines fell one by one slowly as the never ending shots to their body armor weakened. Once the last terminator had fallen, he took notice of how much ammo he had left.
One of the men in his quad pointed out that another group of machines was making their way into the camp. Zeke then turned his attention to the entrance of the settlement. A rather large group of terminators was making its way into the village. Zeke estimated at least twenty to thirty.
He pointed to the next building down the way and yelled too his squad. "We got to keep those machines from reaching the settlement! Now lets move!" he yelled over the sounds of explosions and gun fire.
Zeke then ran toward the building with his rifle close to his shoulder. He fired at the terminators as fast as he could, but was unable to kill any of them. By the time his squad made it to the next building, he had already watched as three terminators fell cold in their tracks before they reached the entrance. He look back to see where the shots had come from. To his surprise, a young women, one of the villagers, had taken the shots with little hesitation.
Zeke noticed the rather large group of villagers all fleeing near the courage's shooter.
"Comp! Call in the EXT team! Tell them there is a group of villages to the north-west end of town that are in need of rescue!" Comp acknowledged the command, and quickly broke out his communication unit to contact the extraction unit. Zeke quickly joined his men at one of the large windows of the building and began to shoot at the terminators making their way into the village.
"Sir!" Zeke turned his attention back to Comp to hear. "Our orders are to clear out a landing zone near the survivors in order for them to land a transport!" Zeke acknowledge the soldier, then commanded his men.
"Alright, we need to clear out and create a landing zone for the survivors to the north, then hold out position until the transport arrives!" The men all nodded to Zeke, then gave a quick reply.
Zeke then took point as he led his men out into the settlement and up to the survivors, still shooting at the machines trying to enter into the settlement.

Donavan was moving in with his squad. Since the half the group was dead he found himself the new CO of the group. They heard the gun fire from the camp and decided to make a turn on the way back from the scouting mission. "Alright men. Quick and clean." He said as they all began to run towards the camp He grabbed the radio and yelled to whoever was in the camp. "Friendlies coming in behind the machines! I repeat 101st delta squad incoming!" The minute he finished his transmission he let out the quick yell. "Open fire!" Before he could finish his order the men were already lighting up the machines from behind.

The machines in the back of the group fell before they knew what was happening. Once some of the machines turned to fight. The squad took heavy fire. "Take cover!" He beckoned to them. He dove behind a destroyed car. Bullets pelted the thing. He looked at his men to see three of them drop dead before cover could be found. "I said take cover damnit!" He yelled. He popped over the car and fired at the machines. He dropped two of them and then ducked back down. "Supressing fire!" He said as he popped up along with the rest of the men. They began to fire endlessly at the machines, but to no avail. His men ducked back down but he was hit before he could. He fell back and hit the ground hard. The hard knock on the head and it was lights out. The radio chatter from the rest of his men went blank as some rockets were fired into the group.

He awoke to men screaming in pain as terminators were tearing them apart. Before any of them saw him he crawled under a dead body and wished for the best. The pain was unbearable and he was bouncing in and out of consciousness. The machines walked through them all then turned back to the battle at hand. He sighed in relief. He knew that the machines didn't see him and he was glad of it. He would be dead if they did. All he could do now was lie in wait trying to remain awake. He heard the gunfire and explosions and finally took the courage to try and stand. The slight movement and he was back head down on the dirt. The sounds now fading in an out.

Re: [OOC] Terminator: The Battle for Humanity

Yeah, I figured as much. :P

//I see Terminator: Salvation's gist coming into play for that one. Where they don't trust the cyborgs despite how good he/she/it might be.

Re: [OOC] Terminator: The Battle for Humanity

No, you can be a machine fighting with the Resistance if you really want. Though, most of the humans may be very cautious or hostile towards you.

As for Xavrine, your character seems just fine. Just keep in mind that the world is very baron with not much form of military. I believe the FBI would still exists, but there's probably a lot of problems in terms of order or communication.

Re: [OOC] Terminator: The Battle for Humanity

Hope you don't mind the character I joined in with. I thought she would be fitting. :)

Re: [OOC] Terminator: The Battle for Humanity

If you're playing a machine do you HAVE to be with Skynet, or can you be part of the human resistance?
