Introduction: Today was the day. The day that the Capitol chose two tributes;boy and girl, from each district. Effie Trinket walked up to the mic and tapped the mic three times until it clicked on. "Welcome! Welcome! Welcome... To the 77th Annual Hunger Games! and may the odds be forever in your favor." A devilish smile crept onto her face as she looked around to the audience. "Cue the video!" she announced loudly as the mic cracked and everyone in the crowd flinched. The video played back as it did every year. It reminded everyone why the Games continued each year. Effie mouthed the last few words of the video and her smile returned and she approached the mic again. "Oh I love it!, Now, Its time to pick the tributes! As always, Ladies first." She reached her long, bony fingers into the giant jar of names and pulled out the card which concealed a name of one 'lucky' person in the audience. She broke the seal on the card and spoke loudly into the mic. "(Insert Female Character name here)! Please come up on stage!, Now for the gentlemen!" She once again stuck her hand into another glass bowl and picked up a card and read the name. "(Insert Male Character name here)!, Come to the stage!" She raised both of the new tributes arms way into the air. "These are you new Tributes for District (Insert District Number here)!" Instead of applauding, everyone in the audience raised up three fingers as a good luck.

((Hi Everyone! I thank you all for creating a character in my first roleplay! :) The characters I have approved may start posting but we do not get to go into the fighting arena until all the spots for the girls and boys of the all the Districts are taken D: It sucks I know! ^^ But we are aloud to arrive at the Capitol and converse with other characters. Form enemies or allys while you can! ^^ May the odds be forever in your favor! ~Bailey))

Anther was dressed up as nice as she had ever been. In the many years she had been going to these events she had never worried about being chosen. This year she had her name in the giant glass bowls 25 times and she had a gut feeling that something new was coming up. The feeling was almost impossible to ignore. When her younger brother and her parents joined her at the door they all walked to the cement stage that had been precisely placed in the middle of the town. Everyone had already arrived and was chattering among themselves. Effie Trinket made her way up to the mic and tapped it three times. This hushed the audience as they all directed their attention to her. "Welcome! Welcome. Welcome... To the 77th Annual Hunger Games!," she announced very loudly and proudly. "And may the odds be forever in your favor." Thats when her smirk of a smile appeared on her face. Anther had a giant lump in her throat as they began to play the video that everyone knew was coming and never really paid any attention to anymore. As the video ended, Effie mouthed the last words and began smiling again and looked out to everyone in the audience. "I love it! Now it is time to choose our tributes! As always, Ladies first." She made her way to the giant glass bowl to her left and reached her bony hand into the bowl, pulling out a card which concealed one name of a 'lucky' girl who would be forced to fight to their death with other tributes from all over other Districts. Anther lowered her head to cough as Effie snapped the seal on the card and read out the name loudly. "Anther Chastiment! Make your way to the stage darling!". Anther froze, to scared to even move a muscle. Everyone made a path for her as she began walking slowly. "Come come!" Effie beckoned. Anther began walking faster and she eventually arrived next to Effie. "Now for the boys..." She stuck her hand into the bowl to her right pulling out a name. "(insert male character name here)!" Make your way to the stage please!" Once he came she raised their arms into th air. "Welcome your new District 7 tributes of the year!" The audience didnt applaud. They raised three fingers into the air as for a farewell and a goodluck.

I woke up, quite depressed. However, I realized she had elsewise to do. I've only recently turned 18. Okay, in reality, my chances were as high as could be, however, considering I'd never come close to being picked, I was pretty much almost home free by now, or so I thought. I got changed, fixed up my hair, got my pocketwatch and put it in my pocket, and began my day. I then realized it was the day of the reaping.

β˜†β˜†β˜†

All the teenage children were brought together to the center of the district. District 9 was not an outer district like 10, 11 and 12, so it wasn't an incredibly poor one, but let's just say it wasn't the richest. More like, less than mediocre. You know, houses that aren't too too nice, but not tornado-wrecked either, paved roads, that need some improvement, but not hard to ride or walk on, no cars but no pioneer stuff at all either. If people couldn't grow plants like flowers or trees, it'd look as depressing as an outer district. You could say that District 9 was a prospering version of an outer District. Well, at least people have good manners.

Many children looked depressed, and others, afraid, but I was bored out of my mind. I'd been through this exact same situation many times. I wondered why the heck people did this? The whole gathering and announcing thing, when all you have to do is do it on TV, and then have the Peacekeepers come take them. Then again, that did have flaws, like children fleeing. Still, I would have liked it better than having to walk half a mile, get a heart attack, and walk back. Well, some of the other children around my age did look depressed as well. My parents were there too. They had come to see for the first few times, but soon, I convinced them they had nothing to worry about, so they pretty much stayed back in other years. However, they were here this year, simply because it was my last year.

But yet, the same things happened as usual, but I was rather bored by it all. I was already eighteen, already in the home-free zone and into the adult years. I always thought about the future, what the future held for me. I could get married, but with my social status unknown, and likeliness of raising it up, it seemed pretty difficult. Also, what would the future hold for me anyway? Taking over my parent's bakery? As if there weren't a bunch of those. Well, maybe I could've become a brewery worker and just make beer for the Capitol. Heh, as if. I'd always wanted to work in the Capitol, as some kind of maid. I was always very good at housework. Well, that was a dream that would never happen to anybody, really. So, looking at it now, it didn't seem as if the future held much for me, if I wasn't drawn.

The girl's name was drawn first. Areillia Primsriver. The young girl, probably thirteen or fourteen, looked shocked. Well, I assumed it was her. She had cherrywood reddish-brown hair, and didn't look like she was strong at all. You could tell the tears were gathering on her face. Well, poor little girl. See, this was the problem. You'd always have to watch two children cry their hearts out knowing they are going to be sent to die, on television, where everybody was forced to see it. Just watching them fall apart. Ironically, the odds were with her too, and also, the odds were against me. Well, point was, it wasn't me, and I was kind of glad.

Or was I? It seemed quite the disappointment, somehow. I'd always trained for the precaution as if I'd ever been drawn, and I had been doing it for years, for that one fear, the most common fear in today's society, among the young and old. Such a shame, for it all to go to waste. So, I was just going to continue a normal life, possibly a lonely life. Considering my little, disability, there was a good chance I was. All my class would have gone to waste as well. I was probably the most lady-like person in the District, and was probably going to just roam through life unnoticed.

Then, something, I don't know what, but something scary, took over me. I don't know what caused it, but it had simply changed my life forever. To me, it seemed there was only one way out. Continue life, or... I wondered exactly how I came into considering the option, however... I had been taught, even if I was to be lady-like, I should never be wasteful. If I continued life, there would be nothing for me. I couldn't feel my body at that point, and it felt as if all the energy in my body had left my control and did it's own thing. I raised my hand.

"Oh, do we have a volunteer?" Peoples eyes glanced toward the back to look at me. I stayed there, silently, but then I walked down my row, and into the center lane. I walked up to the nearest peacekeeper, everybody's eyes on me, even little Primsriver. I looked at the peacekeeper and pointed toward the stage. The peacekeeper had to register what I meant for a moment, but then understood and looked toward the stage and called, "We have a volunteer!"

I walked toward the stage. Passing little miss Primsriver, she silently thanked me, her face was almost in tears. I walked up onto the stage. "Alright, then what is your name?" I gestured a shake of the head, signalling I couldn't speak. I only slightly rose my fists and shook them, the gesture for 'Winter'.

"Bruma!" a person from my row called. "Her name's Mykeisha!" another did. A third person called, "Her name's Mykeisha Bruma!" "She's a mute!" a fourth called.

You're joking, you are joking. Did I just hear what I though I heard?

It can't be, it's just a nightmare. The next thing that happens is the stage turns into a portal and everybody turns into a corrupted worm-zombie, and then I go into the portal and my eyes are burned off, then I wakes up and hit my head against his mother's and get yelled at, not before passing out again and having a nightmare about being naked all day.

Okay, first, I better not get ahead of myself. Alright, um, where to start. Um, how about like, as we were getting there. Alright, so, me and my mate Rick were walking to the, um, Reaping, right? Yeah, I was sleeping over at his house again. Anyway, so as we were walking there, my mate Rick's talking about some girl he met the other day. Turns out she's into cake or something. I wasn't really listening to him, or I was, I just wasn't really into girls. I-I mean of course I was into girls, but as in, I'm not really that good at talking with girls, because, they say I'm either a geek or a, well, a moron.

So, anyway. Then, my mate Rick asks me this, "Hey, man, you think one of us will get chosen today?" He asked. "Well," I told him, "I guess, it's actually, quite possible. However, however, um, We have about as much of a chance as anyone, at about our age, in some cases even better-" "Actually, I kinda got my name entered in a couple more times," "You're joking aren't you? W-w-why would you do that mate, that's just, it's just mad! Suicide!" "Calm down X-Burner," his, um, nickname for me, based off my last name, "I aint gunna get chosen in a million years, and if I did, that'd be sweet. I could be, like, right in the battlefield, duking it out with some tribute in like, a sword fight or something, and then I'd pull out my whip and trip 'em, and then I'd get my grenade, run, and like, throw it at him, and then I'd like jump off the side of a canyon with the explosion propellin' me to the other side, and it'd be aaawe-some. Chicks would totally dig that, and speakin' of chicks in the battlefield, makes me wonder if it's possible to get laid." "Mate, there's cameras everywhere. That'd be kind of, um, disgraceful possibly. I mean, everybody's gotta, um, watch that. Even if they switched the cameras off you, you could like, I don't know."

"So, what kind of weapon would 'ya get? I'd just get everythin', except for maybe like arrows or somethin', arrows are for girls who can't fight like a man." "Well, to be honest, mate, I don't know. I'd probably just come up with somethin', like, invent my own kind of weapon. Actually, that'd actually be a good idea. Though, I think an Invisibility Cloak of some kind, would be, well, um, terrific, really," "Dude, I don't care what everybody else thinks of you, I mean, even with me bein' 'round you, your like, a genius, in a way." "Yeah, guess so, wish your mates would understand that," "Ah, those guys, they're a buncha pansies. They say the Games don't scare 'em, but all of 'em are too scared to work at Nucular Power Plant. " "Mate, it's pronounced Nuclear," "Whatevah, either way, even though they're all about as good as me at basketball, they aint got the brains you got. Man, I'd enter the Games just to get a better report card mark." "Can we, um, not talk about the Games. They always make me, like, nervous. I mean, either of us could get picked easily."

"Man," he said, "If you were to get chosen, I'll volunteer for 'ya, that's a promise." I knew his parents would never allow it, but, really, I thought he was serious. Well, um, that's sort of spoilers to what's coming up.

Anyway, I don't really think, I, um, should give any more details. I mean, I had sort of a weird, um, morning earlier, but, that's got nothing to do with, the, um, the main story. Well, anyway, so the usual events happened and, well. Anyway, about earlier. I heard, like, my name being called, first. I mean, aren't like, the girls supposed to go first or something? Maybe the whole 'ladies first' is like, overrated, like, is a very old little, um, tradition. Being used for hundreds of years and all. But, but, point was, and listen to this, 'cause this is like the worst part. You would have never seen it coming, I mean, could you even believe what was coming next? Could you believe, that it was my name that was drawn. Serious, honestly. Well, really, if um, if I wasn't chosen, I suppose I wouldn't be telling this little story about my point of view in this whole, um, my story. Though, if you didn't know that, then, this is a story about, okay, you know what, you already should know this. And, um, if you don't, then, you're probably going to have to miss some of the story, to um, go ask somebody else about what this story is about, and what you missed, well, what's gone is gone, so, too bad, because, I'm not stopping or going back, nope, just going to keep on telling, for, I don't really have much else to do.

Anyway, so there I was, in a living bloody nightmare, and I don't man literally. No, it was true. "Com Exburna" was called. Though it sounded more like "Come on burnable!" It was said so quickly and casually, it was just, awful, like, horrible! Hey, maybe I could have, well, passed it off on somebody else, but then, some jerk from my school pushed me into the view. This was horrible, the cruelest joke ever, like, like pushing a person off a clift that fell into a toxic waste plant, and you have to live off moldy bread and kill things if you want to swim right out. Okay, something like that, I got a little carried away.

I looked around at everybody. Of the richer Districts, District 5 was the poorest of the rich without being common, and it wasn't very big. I chuckled nervously as the hundreds of eyes looked at me. I laughed nervously, and started to move down the lane. I couldn't take in the whole shock all at once, so really, I didn't. I was just, kinda, barely phased by it, because, I couldn't register that the whole thing was happening at once. I couldn't take all the shock at once, so, I really didn't. Though, um, later on, that shock did start to register, but I really need to, um, stay in one spot for the story. However, for some reason, I was so nervous, it being, well, the very first time I've gotten that kind of attention, that the chuckle turned into an actual laugh. I continued to laugh, even harder. I was as nervous as, well, something that is very, well, nervous, like, like me, but I was laughing as if I saw that a Capitol person couldn't spell Assassination. I had no idea though, I probably looked mentally insane. But then, as I was, laughing, I couldn't really pay attention when some moron decided to stick his leg out for fun.

I could hear the chuckles and laughs of pretty much the majority of everybody in the whole bloody crowd, even the adults. I mean come on, what is bloody wrong with them!? My face just hit pavement and they are laughing at my pain, just, just, just when I had become chosen to become, to become a tribute, for the whole bloody district?! Where I'm being sent to represent our district, and I'm going to bloody die, they, they laugh at me like this?! I could hear the guy who tripped me mumble, "Moron," Okay, now that really ticked me off. I wanted to, to, I couldn't even possibly describe. But, however, I couldn't. One was that, well, I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do to him, I couldn't think of anything, well, horrible enough, but the other being I would be arrested for that, and that, that is not what I want to do, like, being arrested.

So there I was, on the ground. I reached for my glasses, which they were, because they were, um, shatterproof. Standing up, putting them on my face, adjusting them, I walked to the center lane, holding my nose hoping it was bleeding. That'd be awful, seriously. As I walked passed my mate Rick, I glanced at him. Why wasn't he volunteering as he promised. He looked at me, but then, for some weird reason, kept making nervous glances at his parents. So much for a bloody promise!

Anther coughed uneasily as she boarded the train to go to the district. She looked around there was already six other districts on the train already. The train moved quite fast. Effie looked like she was going to be sick as she looked to Anther. "Putting all the districts on one train this year was a bad idea... May you please go ask the driver to slow his speed.?" Anther just nodded and opened the door to district 6 and walked through it. Then 5 then 4 then 3. She smiled at the boy there. He looked smart. Anther relized she was in District 3, The electronic district. She waved to him. He seemed trustworthy. She opened the door to District 2 and stepped in slowly. After she passed through 1 she made it to the engine. "Effie needs you to slow down a bit." The driver nodded and slowed and she began to make her way back. She made a pit stop at District 3's car and looked at the boy. "I'm Anther, Anther Chastiment. Female tribute for District 7." Her violet eyes glistened as she smiled and held her hand out to him. "I don't bite."

Cynthia was waiting in the crowd, she knew she would be picked. How did she know this? She had entered her name 150 times. Fun thing about the capital, they don't put a cap on how many times one person could be entered, and they still got the previsions, which she perceeded to give to anyone poorer than her, if she was going to die, she was going to make sure other would at least eat for a year.

So, she stood in the crowd in her pink floral dress, and awaited after they called the boys and a geeky looking guy got choosen, he seemed fimialr, but she didn't care, she was either going to win or die fatanstically, either way making a lot of friends didn't seem wise. She was choosen from the cup, and instead of going solumly like anyone else who got picked, save for people from districts 1 or 2, she started waving her hands in the air and dancing a little bit.

Once she was on the platform, she began to wave to everyone, and started talking, "Hiya everyone! Isn't this great? I can't wait, hahahaha. See you all later!" She said with a wave before dancing onto the train, with many horrified eyes and confused ones watching her. In reality, she had made a deal that if she died, her home would go to a boy she knew and his family, they needed it badly.

So on the train, she looked around at everyone, and it seemed that the games would be fun this year. She wondered how many knew about how she loved to be picked, but just incase, she had a goofey smile plastered on her face, despite in mind telling her to rip apart everything the capital had, even the train, dispite the fact she was still on it.

She saw a girl with silver hair that looked like she wasn't talking to anyone, a good chance to mess with someone and or make a friend before dying. She made she way over to her, skipping along her merry way, and stood in front of her.

"Hiya! Cynthia, District 5. Nice to meet you! I like your hair, that color is rare indeed, maybe we can braid each other's hair before or even during the games. Wouldn't that be fun!?"

((Good news guys! Some of my friends from school are going to join in! But still not enough to fill the Districts :/ So I'm allowing everyone to have more than 2 characters! You may have no more than 4 character. Two boys and two girls. Yes, they can be in the same Dstrict but I prefer it not to keep a variety for everyone else. Good luck and Happy Hunger Games! ^-^))

(OOC: Eh, even though I have elaborate scenes about both my character's final goodbyes, I might as well skip them. I always think that in a Hunger Games roleplay, two is the best cap, no more, no less. I suppose if I get a really good idea for an effective and deeply thought-out elaborate character, I might make more.)

Com Exburna

So, there I was, on the, um, train. I'd actually never been on a, um, train before. Well, it wasn't as if I had, um, really had any reason to be on a train, untill of course, now. I just thought it was bloody amazing, how fast we were going. I mean, it wasn't as if I really was, well, amazed by how it worked.

So it was just me and my, um, fellow tribute, and get this, her hair was redder than mine. I could imagine that becomming a theme real easily. Well, though I was nervous, I really wanted to, um, strike up a conversation with her, you know, get to know her, but really, seems she wanted to go elsewhere. I mean, that's fine with me, I mean, we could have conversed some, other time. Well, there's really tons of time ahead.

Okay, so, I'm just sort of, well, bored. Some girl walked passed, no idea where she was from. Anyway, so I was just sitting on a couch. Our, um, mentor, hadn't arrived yet, and neither our sponsor. I had just been, humming that one tune, that was now stuck in my head, since we had left District Five.

"I'm Anther, Anther Chastiment. Female tribute for District 7. I don't bite." I jumped up in my seat, well, I mean, I was caught off guard. Yeah, that's it. Okay, so, it happened to be that girl that passed by. Well, being silent is, well, a bit rude, really, so, I might as well had introduced myself.

"Oh, uh, I-I-I-I... Hello! Um, my name's, well, Exburna, Com Exburna, like, Exburna's my last- okay, nevermind that, you already know... Whatever. Anyway, I'm from District Five, and, uh... Well, hello!"

Though, then I thought, like, what if I, Com, could use my amazing wits, to my advantage. Well, that didn't sound like a bad idea at all. I mean, following the example of war commanders, like, Sun-Tzu or Sir Isaac Brock. Maybe, just maybe, I could have pulled something off in my own favour. I fixed my glasses and smiled, not, um, grinning of course, just, you know, a friendly smile.

Mykeisha Bruma

The train was well on it's way now. The fields of wheat, barely, malt and corn, among other grains, having zoomed passed. I had simply been sitting at the table, trying to organize my thoughts. I had felt like breaking into tears, but I had kept calm. Why did I do it, I did not know. I wasn't sure if my fellow tribute knew if I was mute or not, but my tutor had probably known. I hadn't spoken a single word, nor had shown any signs of speaking at all since I got on the train.

"Hiya!" some girls voice called near me. I didn't look up, I simply closed my eyes and adjusted myself on my seat, I didn't want to look at all disgraceful in front of others. "Cynthia, District 5. Nice to meet you!" I looked up and openned my eyes to see the redhead girl, and was she redheaded, talking to me. I'd never made a conversation to anybody except my parents. Whenever somebody tried to talk to me, I'd react in an "I can't" reaction, and when they realized I couldn't speak, and that they couldn't understand sign language, how I'd been taught to communicate when I was young, they'd never attempt to make a conversation with me again. Sure, they'd tell me things and ask yes/no questions, but that was as far as any communication got.

[b]"I like your hair, that color is rare indeed, maybe we could braid each other's hair before or even during the games?" Now, I'd braided my own hair in the mirror tons of times, but never somebody elses. I jestured toward my throat and slightly mouthed something, something along the lines of "I can't..." Then I inhaled deeply, closing my eyes and adjusting my posture be more upright, and with my hands over the table, I simply did a couple small gestures. 'I am from Area 9 Grain. My name is Cold.' The jesture for cold was two fists in the air shaking slightly, as if one was shivering. Cold also translated to Winter, which was my last name, Bruma. That's simply how I refered to myself, just as many who use sign language would call themselves. Hopefully, though, even if she didn't understand it, which she likely didn't, she hopefully got the hint.

Cynthia was watching the girl with white hair, she seemed distant somehow, even when she had started talking to her. At first she thought that she just plain didn't want to talk to her, "I even offered to braid your hair, meanie!" She thought to herself as she was sitting down opposite the girl. After a couple of seconds the girl pointed at her thoat, and wheezed something along the lines of I can't.

It all made sense to her now, this girl couldn't talk. "I knew you wouldn't ignore me!" She thought to herself as a smile shot across her face. The girl then began to sign at her. I am from Area 9 Grain. My name is Cold. Was the message that the girl was sending. Cynthia smiled even wider as she took the girls hands into her own.

"You can't talk? How cool! I mean not for you, but I can sign, yay!! This boy I know back home is deaf, and he taught me how to sign, he is really sweet. I even promised him my house if I am going to die, It only seemed right, I mean he has threee siblings and his parents, so I figured they could use some extra space, seemed like the nice thing to do." She said, and released the girls hand's, and began to play with her own. "So, Cold, hun? That is a cool name I guess, my last name is Black, so I guess we are even with the names."

She had learned to sign beack when she met him, only a child, and a deaf one at that, working wiht high power cables. She had saved him from being electocuted three times before she got the idea to see what was up. Only then did she see how bad his family had it. They were barely surviving, and he had entered his name six times and he was only twelve, it shocked here. So after a while, after last years hunger games, she made friends with him and he taught her how to sign, as it was the only way she could communicate with him. The next year, when she entered her names 150 times, she gave twelve of them tto his family, so they wouldn't have to enter so many times, and they were the only ones to say goodbye to her, and she was happy they would survive another year.

COming back to reality, she looked at the girl, "So, if you win, will you request a voice box? I am sure with all the capital's technology they could replace it, hell they could give you a choice most likely." She paused for a moment before starting again, "In all honesty, I don't think I have too great of a chance, but I am good with a weapon, so maybe, but if I fail, I hope you will win." She chuckled a little bit before smiling at her, and gave her a chance to respond.

((Yes, Always seen the Hunger Games as that as well. I'm just trying to round up as many people as possible ya know? So, yea. Do any of you happen to have skype? So I could possibly update you on things like events and other stuff? Just a little minor question.))
Anther chuckled softly. "You seem a bit nervous," she smiled back at him. "You seem like a nice kid, How old are you?". She tilted her head softly at her own question. "Let me rephrase that.. You seem like a nice Gentleman." She shook her head as she corrected herself. "You seem intelligent, Since your from District 3 everyone expects that! I mean not that theres anything wrong with it... But I mean smart people are cute... Not cute but.. Smart, Smart people are smart. I mea- Ugh! I'm not to good with words." She looked up at him with a nervous smile as she scratched the back of her head. One small sweat trickled down the side of her forhead as she wiped it away with her sleeve. She ran her fingers through her raven black hair to keep it from sticking to her face.

Mykeisha Bruma

"You can't talk? How cool! I mean not for you, but I can sign, yay!! This boy I know back home is deaf, and he taught me how to sign, he is really sweet. I even promised him my house if I am going to die, It only seemed right, I mean he has three siblings and his parents, so I figured they could use some extra space, seemed like the nice thing to do. So, Cold, huh? That is a cool name I guess, my last name is Black, so I guess we are even with the names." Okay, that was great to know, somebody could understand me. I rose my hand sideways and shook it a bit, as if to say 'Kinda'.

The she asked, "So, if you win, will you request a voice box? I am sure with all the capital's technology they could replace it, hell they could give you a choice most likely." I had to think about that for a second, but then she continued, "In all honesty, I don't think I have too great of a chance, but I am good with a weapon, so maybe, but if I fail, I hope you will win." I gazed upon her for a moment. Apparently this girl was taking her fate rather well. Had she volunteered? I couldn't really tell, but obviously, she was taking the whole thing better than I was. I, on the other hand, has had nobody to ever care about other than my family. Speaking of which, what about her own family?

Also, about that question about if I wanted to get a voice box? I'd heard about the technology being possible, but that was if I had lived in one of the richer areas, such as the Capitol, District One or District Three. Now, obviously, I hadn't lived anywhere near there. Well, maybe it was possible if I had used the reward money, if I were to win the Games, but did I really want a voice? There were many times of which I'd wanted a voice, and I supposed it would make me fit in better. I mean, most people think of mutes as stupid. I'd once heard that used to be what they called people who were mutes. Though, I didn't want to fit in, I always wanted to be higher, of higher class. Without a voice, I was typically the opposite. But did I really want a voice? I'd grown up my whole life without a voice, and I am very used to it. I just wouldn't be, me, with one, I supposed.

'I have not been sure of anything since train left nine,'
I slowly gestured, looking over in a random direction. 'I am glad a person can talk to me, I do not speak much...' I paused a bit, looking down at my hands. 'I am not sure if I want to live, if I do, I do not volunteer.'

Com Exburna

"You seem a bit nervous," Okay, well, that was a good way of putting it, but was there not a good reason to be nervous? "You seem like a nice kid, How old are you?". "Oh, um, about the age of, sixteen, around that, um, age, though, I'm almost seventeen," I responded, "However, at the moment, I am, sixteen." "Let me rephrase that.. You seem like a nice Gentleman."

Okay, did she just call me a Gentleman? If I were to be honest, I'm far from that, I think. Then again, maybe I am, I'm not really sure. "Oh, well, I'm not really-" "You seem intelligent, Since your from District 3 everyone expects that! I mean not that there's anything wrong with it... But I mean smart people are cute... Not cute but.. Smart, Smart people are smart. I mea- Ugh! I'm not to good with words." Okay, uh, w-w-w-what did she just, almost, like say, or something? "Well, uh, I'm actually from District Five, though, moving the District Three doesn't sound like, a, a bad idea actually. Bu-but no worries. I mean, it happens to me, I mean, all the time. Honestly, like, my mind can't keep up with my, um, mouth, and it moves too fast. Also, intellectuals, like, um, myself, come up with ideas not as, um, simple paragraphs, but more like a huge, cloudy, messy, um, ball of pieces of, um, key words and actions. Because, the mind, um, doesn't really work like our voices do, really. The mind's kinda, all dimensional, if you, um, get it at all. Imagination's essentially, really, what I'm trying to get at, comes in all forms, really. Oh yeah, I do happen to be quite the, um, intellectual, but like, the smart kind of intellectual, if you catch my, uh, drift. Like, I have a, a, a vast, uh, see, there I am, lost for um, words. The mind and the material world, they can never, really, truly, match up, and, uh, synchronize perfectly, at all, really."

Cynthia watched the girl sign to her, "I have not been sure of anything sinse the train left nine," And she paused for a moment and then said, "I am glad a person can talk to me, I do not speak much." That pulled a string on her heart, and she honestly felt bad for the girl who would likely share the same fate as her as a corpse, and only increased her desire for her or Cold to win. The next sign confused her, "I am not sure if I want to live, if I do, I do not volunteer." It confused her how she was happy being different and not accepting hte Capital's treatment, even if it could help her.

She spoke, "Well, if ever you want to talk, come and find me, and if we meet during the games, I am sure we could form a team, but don't tell the others." She chuckled a little bit. She thought how she had learned so much about Cold, but had managed to stay in the dark about herself. "Well, I am not sure how I would feel about living in these games, but if I die, I will get to see my parents again, so that is something to look forward to." She smiled half heartedly, remembering how they were hung by the Capital, and she shook as the memory of their bodies fighting for air suddenly went limp before her. She looked down, her hatred for the Capital more so than ever now, but she wasn't about to show it here, she needed to seem strong. "Well, let me tell you, if the Capital loves drama, they will love how I got in the games. I put my name in the running over 150 times. Crazy, right? Well I figured that no family, might as well help others, even if I die. Oh well, what is a girl to do?" She had a smile on her face when explaining how she entered, as it was a point of pride for her, her own little rebellion against the Capital.

"Want a drink?" She said and picked up a bottle of water and handed it to her, while getting her one as well.

((No worries. It happens!))

Anther smiled at him. "I'm sixteen. I turn seventeen in a few days. Though, that memory will probably be lost in training. But yea. Districts are really confusing." She yawned as Effie came in too announce that it was time to eat.

The boy character sounds nice! :) I am majorly sorry for not being here. My life seems to be rushing around me and leaving me behind. I have a B in math! In my household thats unacceptable! Haha. But yes, You may reserve him if you please. Go ahead and make him!

Re: The 77th Annual Hunger Games

Can I reserve district 10 boy with either twin sickles or a spear ended Shepard crook?
Or if the reserve on the district 10 girl is up, I could do that with a whip

Re: The 77th Annual Hunger Games

Okay, for future reference if you're going to save a role for your friend, pleaseeeeee, PRETTY PLEASE, mark it as reserved! I spent a lot of timing coming up with my character sheet, finding the pictures for it and etc., just for you to reject it and tell me "oh, sorry i'm saving the female from district 3 for a friend". lols >.<

Good luck with your RP tho....

Re: The 77th Annual Hunger Games

Didn't the Hunger Games end after the 75th when Katniss showed 'em all what-for?

Re: The 77th Annual Hunger Games

Um, Com's from District Five.

Re: The 77th Annual Hunger Games

Can I reserve district 5 female with spear as her weapon?

Re: The 77th Annual Hunger Games

Alright, I submitted my characters already. I really wish you accept them both, and if you don't, I can fix them so that you do. Both characters are very special to me, and I assure you they will not disappoint.

Mykeisha is sort of the first 'main' character I've every played. I consider Mykeisha as a main character in her own story. I've never made a truly protagonistic character, always some very different side character or third party character. I always make a character that is unique in some way, and often they always sort of stretch the intended plot of the roleplay by a bit. Mykeisha is truly a protagonist in her own story. She goes through her own trials, has her own problems, and has resolve.

Com is sort of a comic relief character. He's also a rather unsuspecting character. Despite him being very smart, he's very bad at making personal decisions, which often get him in very bad situations. However, Com is more of a character who somehow has a lot of luck, and really, luck is the only thing that is barely keeping him alive, because it sure as hell isn't decisions. I was thinking, sure he'd be really funny, but also sort of a failure at everything, there'd be some sort of change for him. I'm intending for Com to be surrounded in misunderstanding, whether he's the one misunderstanding or others are misunderstanding him. I'm intending for him to be misunderstood, and people will think he is more skilled than he actually is, gaining him some sort of trust an alliance, and Com's only choice to survive is to try and keep up with this misunderstanding, or else he'd be killed. Then, maybe, sometime later on, due to his own misunderstanding, he may make some sort of surprising betrayal and turn the game around for a little bit. However, in the end, he'd be killed, never achieving his dreams for the future, in an utmost emotional death, having died betraying his own 'comrades'.

Though, unlike Com, Mykeisha has the stronger will to survive. Mykeisha's more likely to survive, though will she become victorious? Only the roleplay can tell.

Re: The 77th Annual Hunger Games

Could I reserve the district 4 girl with spear as her weapon?

Re: The 77th Annual Hunger Games

Am I allowed 2 characters? I really want District 9 Female with Knives and District 5 Male with... Haven't decided yet. He's a very inventive guy, who's also probably the weakest, funniest, and least likely to live. The district nine girl is a mute who finds herself confused between her selfish formality, and her scary secret lust to fight. She's one of the stronger, yet different characters.

Re: The 77th Annual Hunger Games

Would love to reserve the girl in district 3, with knives as her weapon of choice!

I can come up with my own CS if need be, but i'll wait for you to respond to Holo's question regarding that first! xD

Re: The 77th Annual Hunger Games

no char sheet? I do better with a char sheet.

Re: The 77th Annual Hunger Games

May I reserve girl 10 with the with the bow and arrow as a weapon?
