Unlike the majority of the other angels, Leon dresses very casually. Plain long sleeve shirts and jeans are usually his favorite thing to wear. He doesn't style his hair, just leaves it naturally messy and he very rarely ever dresses up. He's fairly thin, but has muscles in all the right places. One of the upsides of being an angel.

||Likes||
Peace and quiet
The ocean
Flying
Getting to be himself

||Dislikes||
The council
Having to act heartless
Having to hide his sexuality
Being called Leo

||Fears||
Being betrayed
Being rejected
Falling for a human

||Secret||
He's homosexual (He keeps this a secret because if others knew, mainly the council, he'd be ridiculed/rejected/abused and kept as a slave just like any other angel that doesn't fit the council's idea of 'perfection')

||Personality||
Despite his angelic good looks and charming smile, Leon tends to come off as completely unapproachable. He's cold and indifferent towards most and tends to scare people away with his stone cold glare and "fuck off" attitude. He seems completely apathetic and invisible. The type of person who has no weaknesses, no vulnerabilities and is downright indestructible. The type of man who wouldn't think twice before taking someone's life. But all this couldn't be further from the truth. Leon is caring, vulnerable and very fragile. When he was still just a normal human, he was known as one of the sweetest people you would ever meet. Extremely kind an gentle hearted. So kind, in fact, that people would sometimes take advantage of that kindness. He was screwed over more times than what he could count. Now, after going through everything he's had to go through, he promised himself he would never let anyone take advantage of him again. He swore he would never let anyone see his weaknesses. He made it his purpose to stay as far away from people as possible, not just angels but humans too, even if that meant feeling painfully lonely. Despite how much he hates having to act like a heartless jerk, he's convinced himself its for the best.

There is only one person that knows the real Leon. She has been like an older sister to him since the moment he stepped into Eden. Cordelia not only knows the truth behind his facade, but she also knows his secret. She has sworn to never tell a soul, and Leon has come to trust her deeply. He trusts that she'll keep that promise, even though in the back of his mind he's still terrified of being betrayed yet again.

So begins...

Cordelia kept looking at the shelves at the multitude of colors and she heard the sound of a splash in a nearby trash can. Aidan must have thrown away the rest of the his coffee. Whatever happened with the coffee must have made him sick. That was the only reasonable non-scary thing she could think of. It could honestly be a thousand times worse, but she wasn't going to think that way. That would mean taking him to Eden and no human should be forced to go there. Cordelia hates it there. Most angels do. Speaking of Eden she needed to check on Leon. Quickly, she sent a text message.
[To] Leon
[MSG] I hope you are holding down the fort over there. Also let me know when Cas shows back up in Eden

The message sent and she pocketed her phone. Her new human companion took her attention away from the island and onto some other ugly colors. "Are colors that ugly allowed to be put on the shelf?" The angel laughed a little. "This has to be illegal. Someone call the hideous paint color police." Cordelia said allowed to practically anyone listening, still laughing.

Abigail had managed not to stare at him like a love sick puppy as she waited for him to make some kind of decision about what they were doing. She adjusted her dance bag on her shoulder, rocking on her heels a little. Then out of no where Mr. Perfect turned around and took her hand. Cas didn't give the nervous brunette a chance to think about what was happening. They were walking back into the dance studio. Walking inside her first thought was to head straight to where her practice room. Does he want to see me dance? Was the first thought that came to mind. Her face turned red at the though and she turned away to hide it. Once it cleared up, she looked at Castiel. "Um wh-what is the plan?" She asked, leaning against the wall.

Image

Roman shuffled his feet, dancing around the bag. Sweat was dripping from his brow, muscles were aching, and his fists were throbbing. If the bag was a person they would surely be dead from the amount of punches received. He was at his cool down. Throwing a few slow jabs at the bag, trying to calm his racing pulse. Others in the gym were at their own pace with the bags. Roman didn't have a training partner. He was his own trainer. Finally stepping away from the bag, he wiped his forehead and chugged an entire bottle of water. He grabbed his workout bag and then left the gym. People were walking and flooding the sidewalks. He shuffled through, smiling at people, waving at the ones he knew, and nodding at people he was familiar with. He got up to his apartment and immediately went to take a shower. It was a steamy one. To help relax the muscles. After that he started cooking food. He hadn't eaten since that morning. Lunch/Dinner was an absolute must at this point.

Aidan chuckled, momentarily forgetting his nausea, and set the colors back on the shelf to take a picture of each one of them. "I'll incorporate these into my masterpiece then" he half joked, though he fully intended to actually paint something specially for her. She was his muse after all, even if she didn't know it yet. Aidan watched Cordelia fiddle with her phone some more and he wondered if he was keeping her from anything important. He knew he should have asked, but he didn't want to on the off chance that she'd say yes and have to leave him. He knew this was a little selfish, but he relay liked her company. Perhaps a bit more than he should. His first priority had to remain being Abby. Speaking of which, he hadn't heard from her in a while. She couldn't still be dancing. Then again, it was Abigail and that's practically all she did. Still, he knew he should at least check on her. He pulled his phone out and turned to Cordelia. "Is it alright if I check on my sister really quick?"

Image

"You love to dance, correct?" he asked, obviously already knowing the answer. "I'd love to watch you, if you don't mind". Despite not having any emotions, Castiel had always "liked" watching others dance. He danced himself from time to time, but not often on the count of his father always gave him something to do. This was a good opportunity to do something he would have actually liked. In the back of his mind, all he really wanted to do was dance with her. The thought of it could have almost actually made him happy. He paused for a second, gathering his thoughts, and then turned to her. "Show me where you like to practice". The look of innocence on her face was starting to burn into the back of his mind and he hadn't even realized it.

Leon safely landing behind a few abandoned buildings near the edge of town. He clutched the piece of paper in his hand and began to walk towards his destination. The feeling of guilt in the pit of his stomach grew with every step. He hated this, he hated his job, he hated the council and most of all he hated having to pluck innocent humans from their homes and send them to what he liked to call hell. This was the main reason he decided to support Cordelia with her plan. There's nothing he wanted more than to see the council crumble. But until that happened, all he could do was keep doing what he was expected to do, no matter how much guilt he felt.
Speaking of which, he heard his phone buzz and immediately assumed it was the boss herself. He puled it out and read her text, then typed out a quick reply.
[From Leon]
[To Lia]
[They sent me to pick someone up... but I'm keeping a look out for him here on the mainland. Should be back soon. Please be careful...]

He glanced at the paper once again and turned into the indicated street. All the houses looked the same. A couple of kids bumped into him as he made his way down the street. He gave them a half-hearted glare and walked up to the small residence. He stared at the name on the paper for longer than necessary and skimmed over the information. A young woman in her twenties. Lives alone. Has very few close relatives. He sighed, relieved that he at least wouldn't have to take another human being away from their spouse and children like he's had to do several times before. After hesitating a little more, he rang the doorbell.

Cordelia laughs turned into giggles as the joke about the colors died out. She was just waiting for a text from Leon about what was happening on the island. Aidan replaced the colors and took pictures of the ugly colors. It seems like he was going to use them after all. But if he wasn't going to by them, he might make them. The angel was truly curious to see how he would make colors. She would eventually have to convince him to show her how to make paint. It was a must. Then Aidan needed to check on his sister. Of course she didn't mind. She was still checking up on Leon. "Yeah go ahead." she said. Just then her phone buzzed again. Must have been Leon. Quickly she read it and frowned. Another human she was going to have to train to be an angel. Unless she didn't survive long enough. Leon could honestly be too late. She hit a few buttons to reply.
[TO] Leon
[MSG] I will be. Hope you make it to the person on time.

The angel put the phone away and waited for Aidan to be done talking to his sister.

Image

Abigail knew it. Castiel was going to make her dance. She was already extremely embarrassed for dancing in front of him in the first place. And know she was being asked to do it again. The brunette was trying so hard to keep her cool. Mr. Perfect was asking to show him where she dances. All she could do was nod and gesture for him to follow her. If he could hear her heart, it would sound like a jackhammer. It was racing and she was trying to keep her calm. Finally she got to her studio and flipped the light on. She dropped her dance bag onto the floor Without looking at Cas, she walked right over to the stereo. "J-just don't say anything." By that she meant just keep quiet. Abigail connected her phone to the speakers and pressed play. 7/11 by Beyonce started to play from the speakers and Abigail started to dance like no one was watching.

Roman ended making himself a double-decker ham sandwich for two reasons. He was too lazy to actually cook anything and he was planning on having ham for dinner anyway. He carried his plate over to the dinning room table along with his giant glass of chocolate milk. Roman has always loved chocolate milk. He needs at least three glasses a day. Might sound like an addiction. But it's just a necessity. He was watching the cliche WWE on the TV as he eats his sandwich. One sip of his chocolate milk and the doorbell rang. Roman just sat there for a moment debating on whether or not he should open the door. After a few seconds of waiting he stood up, chocolate milk in hand, and opened the door. A very attractive male stood before him and a small smile came to Roman's face. "Well hello there. How can I help you?" Roman took a slow sip of his chocolate milk.

Aidan just nodded and quickly dialed Abby's number. His finger hovered over the call button, but he moved it over and clicked on the small message icon at the last second. Abigail always used her phone for music, and if she was dancing at the moment he didn't want to interrupt her. He opened up their message strand and typed out a quick text.
[From Aidan]
[To Abby]
[Still dancing? I'm not home yet but I should be in a little while. Don't stay out too late]

After hitting send he put his phone away and turned back to Cordelia. She was putting hers away as well. He knew he had to ask. "I'm sorry, am I keeping you from something important?".

Image

Castiel walked over to a small bench as Abigail prepared to dance for him, a small and unnoticed smile on his lips.
"J-just don't say anything." she stuttered and his smile grew. He silently "zipped" his lips with his fingers and sat back to watch as she began to move. She was truly amazing, like a completely different person. He watched in a dazed state, unaware of the fact that the smile had yet to fade. For the duration of the song and dance, it was as if Castiel was a completely different person as well. It was like every other thought disappeared from his mind and the only thing occupying it was this beautiful, enchanting, mysterious human girl. He had no idea what song she was dancing to because he couldn't hear it. It was like a dull noise in the background an the spotlight was solely on her.

Image

Leon waited a few seconds before hearing footsteps approach the door. He glanced down at the paper to double check the name as the door open. Much to his surprise, it wasn't a young woman in her twenties. Quite the opposite.
"Well hello there. How can I help you?" the handsome man said with a smile. Leon stood frozen for a few seconds then blinked a few times in confusion. He looked down at the paper once again then back at the man standing in front of him. "Um- You're...not Martha, I'm assuming" he half asked, half stated. He was sure he had the right address. Perhaps he was a relative, or a boyfriend. The last thought made his stomach turn a little. He glanced around at the other house numbers to confirm. He was definitely at the right address. Perhaps Martha didn't live alone after all.

Cordelia kept her phone away since she was done talking to Leon. Aidan asked a question when he was finished. It confused her a little. She raised an eyebrow trying to figure out what she had done to look busy. Maybe it was the texting without letting him know why she was texting. "No you aren't. I was just checking up on someone as well." she said, smiling a little. Cordelia wasn't exactly excited to leave Aidan. He was normal and she liked that. Normal wasn't something you got in Eden. "What else do you need from the art store besides ugly paint colors?" She said, her smile getting a little bit bigger.

Image

The song came to an end and Abigail stopped dancing. She was panting a little from the work out she just went through. The dance she did was routine. But it was one of her favorites. The brunette ran her fingers through her hair before tying it up into a messy bun. Abigail was a tad bit nervous to hear whatever Cas had to say about her dancing. For some reason she was expecting serious criticism. She doesn't know why she thought that. It was just something she was expecting. Abigail walked over to where Mr. Perfect was sitting and looked down at her feet. "H-how was it?" Still afraid of the answer.

Image

Roman drank in the mans features. He was very handsome and Roman was still trying to figure out how he should feel about the stranger knowing where he lived. "Um- You're...not Martha, I'm assuming" The handsome stranger wasn't here for Roman. He was here for someone names Martha. Wrong house situation. "No. Unless my parents have been lying to me my entire life." He said, chuckling a little. "May I ask why you are looking for this Martha?" he asked curiously.

Aidan smiled a bit when Cordelia mentioned she was also checking up on someone, then his smile slowly faded. He must have sounded pretty nosy, he thought. "Oh i'm not trying to pry or anything. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't interrupting an important schedule". Aidan had always hated having to cause others to change their plans. Even though he was pretty flexible himself, not everyone was like him. He was always particular about keeping promises and going through with commitments. After explaining, Cordelia's beautiful smile returned and she asked about what else he needed from the store. He had forgotten he had come here with a purpose. "Right, well these" he said quickly showing her the pain brushes. "And the rest should be towards the back" he informed her as he continued to walk. Just a few isles down there was a long and spacious isle with nothing but canvases of all shapes and sizes. Aidan walked straight to the size he needed and grabbed a couple. "That's about it, i think"

Image

Castiel watched as Abigail walked up to him and his smile slowly faded as the usual Castiel returned in it's place. He looked up at her with a straight face, more than a little skeptical about the entire situation, but his features relaxed a bit once he noticed her head was down and her gaze was on her feet. She asked how she did, as if his words of approval would make or break her. This made the god smile once again. However this time it was his usual sinister smile. For a few seconds it was as if both sides of that smile were fighting for dominance, but as always, the fake smile won. "Beautiful" he said in a low tone as he got to his feet and walked over to the radio. He searched through her music for a few seconds then selected a song with a slow waltz like rhythm. After turning up the volume a bit he walked back to her. "You're perfect" he all but whispered in her ear then gently took her hand and lead her back to the dance floor.

Image

Leon watched as the man spoke, his eyes glued to his features. He was gorgeous. Almost too gorgeous. "No. Unless my parents have been lying to me my entire life.". A small smile crept onto Leon's face. He looked down at his feet, smiling softly, but quickly regained his composure and looked back up at the man with a more than slightly serious face. "May I ask why you are looking for this Martha?" he asked. "No you may not" Leon answered coldly, immediately feeling horrible after doing so. He knew it was for the best. He had been telling himself this for years and had trained himself to maintain his cold exterior. Everyone at Eden knew him as the heartless second-in-command and he had worked hard to maintain that outside of Eden as well. Then this man in front of him had made him smile within the first few seconds of speaking to him. He was on dangerous territory and he had to get out of there, and fast. "Sorry to inconvenience you" he muttered, not entirely meaning in and turned on his heels to head back down the steps. The further and faster he got away from him the better.

Cordelia followed him down the aisle. She was admiring all the different styles of art being represented. The angel was never into art stuff when she was human. Kind of considered it a waste of time. She was always about studying to become a nurse. Not that she was given the chance too. But now seeing it as an angel, it was interesting. She could appreciate it more. Especially now that Aidan was into art. They got to the back of the store where there were canvases of all sizes. She couldn't help but touch them all. The texture felt nice against her fingers. Her human friend grabbed the sizes he needed. Cordelia looked over him wondering if he needed help, but Aidan seemed to be managing. They started heading back towards the front where he needed to pay for these things. "Does your artwork have a common theme?" Now she was just being curious.

Image

"Beautiful" A sigh a relief escaped the brunette. She didn't even realize that she was waiting for an answer so eagerly. Her heart was racing again, but more from joy than anything else. Cas stood up and walked around her. There was a blinking light on her phone indicating she had a message, but then Mr. Perfect picked a slow song. Making his way over to her, she completely forgot that she should check the message. "You're perfect" Abigail was practically putty in the mans hands. Her face turned red as she followed him back out to the middle of the dance floor. The brunette knew hip hop, jazz, tap, ballet, interpretive, and luckily ballroom. Abigail was always into dance. The song was slow and she knew exactly what the proper position to dance in was. But then again she was really nervous. She moved her hands hesitantly into place, since it was clear that Cas was wanted to dance with her.

Image

Roman caught a small smile on the mans face which pleased him. He took another sip of his chocolate milk waiting to hear why he was in search of Martha. But apparently the man was not very reluctant to share that information. His tone was sharp and cold. Roman's pale blue orbs searched the young man trying to see where the cold tone came from. But it seemed to be almost out of no where. And the of course the man tried to leave. Roman may never see him again. He had to do something. For a moment he was going to offer him some chocolate milk, but then Roman was quick to share his milk. So instead he decided to say something. "Wait. Martha was my neighbor. Maybe I can help you look?" Anything to keep the handsome man around.

As Aidan headed back to the front to pay, he couldn't help but to watch Cordelia as she walked beside him. She was breathtakingly beautiful, he almost couldn't believe it. They made it to the front and she asked him a question. He wasn't sure if she was actually curious or if she was just trying to make small talk but he didn't mind either way. "Not really, not at all" he half chuckled. He normally painted whatever came to mind. Sticking to a theme was never his type of art. "As long as it's beautiful I'll gladly paint it" he explained as he handed the cashier the money for his supplies and took the bag. He held the door open for her to walk out in front of him, a little hesitant to leave himself. He was out of excuses to use to keep her around.

Image

Casteel placed his hands and feet in the proper position just as Abigail did and began to move with the music. He couldn't help but smile at how easily she followed. It had been years since he danced with someone who actually knew what they were doing. It was a refreshing change. He kept his gaze on her face, admiring her delicate features. Before he knew it, he was in a daze again. Her features burning deeper and deeper into his mind and, if it were possible, into his heart. He couldn't not watch her. In fact he didn't even try. He was much too entranced I'm the moment to realize that he was quickly losing himself just as he had before when he was watching her dance. After a litle bit he picked up his step, and Abigail followed closely behind. He smiled softly, genuinely, for the fifth or sixth time today.

Image

Leon's goal was to get away from this man as quickly as possible, because he knew what would happen if he didn't. Unfortunately for his plan, the man said something that brought him to a sudden stop. He slowly turned to face him again, the little voice in the back of his mind screaming at him to leave, but he ignored it for the first time in a long time. After all, he needed to find this woman before it was too late, and this man was offering to help. There was nothing more to it he maintained his cold face and serious demeanor as he walked back up to the man's door. "Alright, where can I find her" he asked, the serious tone in his voice not faltering for a single second, despite the fact that his insides where screaming at him to act otherwise. He stared at the man, cold eyes piercing into his and he could feel his insides turning. He was trudging on dangerous territory but he couldn't make himself leave.

Cordelia didn't expect him to have a theme. Not that he looked like the type to not have a theme, she just knew that some artists don't have themes. The angel silently followed Aidan to the cash register, admiring his passion for art. Once he paid the walked outside and she muttered a thank you when he held the door open for her. Now they were coming at a stop in their time together. Cordelia no longer needed to be with him and him with her. In all honest since Leon was on the mainland, the head angel should make sure that everything was okay on Eden. But she liked her friend. So she made a decision. "I should go, but hanging out with you was a lot of phone." she said. Pulling out her phone, she clicked a few buttons until she got to the add contact screen. "Here. This is so we can hang out again."

Image

Casteel placed his hands and feet in the right position and then they started to dance. Abigail was used to dancing with those who knew what they were doing, to a certain degree. But Mr. Perfect was absolutely flawless. Every step and movement was done with perfection and that made Abigail happy. A smile formed on her face as they continued dancing. She managed to keep contact without blushing this time. The brunette was mentally giving herself a high five. Their slow movements soon picked up and Abigail didn't miss a beat. Now Abigail was happy that he had wanted to dance with him. She got to stare at his smile without feeling embarrassed. The things Abby would do to keep dancing forever.

Image

Roman finished the chocolate milk in his hand when the stranger stopped walking. Clearly he was interested in the proposal. Roman messed with his class as watched the cute stranger turn around and walk up towards the door. He smirked. Roman was very good at keeping those he was interested in around. "Alright, where can I find her" Ro raised an eyebrow. "Are you always all business?" He teased. Roman let a moment of silence linger there just so that he could continue staring at the stranger. He was so beautiful. He refused to let him leave so abruptly again. "Martha actually lives two doors to my left, but she would be at work right now so I wouldn't bother checking her apartment." Roman looked down at his glass. He needed a refill. "I'm going to get some more chocolate milk. Want some?" Taking a few steps backwards into his home, he turned and waltzed into the kitchen. He left the door open as a gesture for the stranger to come in.

Aidan new their time together was coming to an end but it didn't sink in until she pulled out her phone and handed it to him to type in his number. He took the device but hesitated. Once he put in his information it was all over. After a few seconds he typed in his name and number and called his own cell, then handed the device back to her. "It was fun" he confirmed with a smile. After a few seconds of silence he looked at her with a slight smile. "Would it be completely crazy if I asked you to help me with my project?". In reality he didn't need any help, in fact he was almost done, but if she agreed, he could keep her around for a little longer. She had mentioned he wasn't keeping her from anything important, so what was the harm in asking? Perhaps he was being too forward. They had only just met, but he didn't know what else to do. For the first time ever, he was stumped.

Image

Castiel was enjoying Abby ' s company more than he would have liked to admit. For the duration of the dance, he completely forgot who he was and why he was here and focused solely on her. Finally, when the song stopped, his senses slowly returned to him. He finally realized, there was something wrong with her. It couldn't have been with him, after all, he was perfect just like any other god. This girl had cast a spell on him and he was falling right into the trap. As politely as he could possibly manage he let go of her and clapped softly. "Beautiful" he then took her hand and gently kissed the top of it. "Pleasure dancing with you miss Abigail. You're a refreshing change from all those with a lack of talent" he admitted honestly. Now he had a decision to make. He knew she was trouble, and whatever it was that she was doing it was beginning to work. He had to choose whether to stay and carry out his own plan, after all this was a challange and he couldn't turn down a challenge. Or should he turn and walk away. He wasn't the type to walk away from a challenge, so before he knew it his decision was made.

Image

Leon watched as the man smiled deviously at him and it took everything in him not to smile back. He was here for Martha, and that was it. When the man mentioned she lived two doors down a mixture of relief and sadness hit him. Like Cordelia had said in the text, he could be too late. However, he continued on to explain how she was at work and Leon frowned. If he had to wait for her to come back that meant two things. One, there was the possibility that she would never make it back from work and two, if she did make it back he'd have to wait here…with this handsome stranger in extremely dangerous territory. in the midst of Leon's thoughts the handsome man mentioned something about chocolate milk then turned to go back inside, leaving the door wide open for him. Leon stood still for longer than necessary then glanced around at the other houses. Perhaps there was a park near by where he could wait, but no such luck. He groaned and stuffed the piece of paper in his pocket. After hesitating a little more, he mutters a soft "Dammit" under his breath and stepped inside the lion's den.

Cordelia took her phone back and then pocketed it. She didn't know whether she should turn and leave or wait for him to say something. This was a tad awkward on the angel's end. During the silence between them, she was thinking of places where she could sprout her wings and take off. She landed near the cafe so she needed to find somewhere else to take off. Must be empty. Maybe the abandoned warehouse a mile out. "Would it be completely crazy if I asked you to help me with my project? Cordelia raised an eyebrow as Aidan pulled her from her thoughts. Why would he want her help? It didn't really matter. That gave her more reason to spend time with her human friend. The angel nodded. "No it isn't. I would love to help." She said. Island of Eden can wait. Leon should be returning back there sometime soon. And the council wasn't particularly fond of Miss Cordelia anyway. The longer she was away, the better. And if they really wanted her, she would just be summoned. "Lead the way." She said.

Abigail was completely lost in the dance as usual. But she was enjoying the fact that she was dancing with Casteel and was sad when the song was coming to an end. She didn't want the sadness to show on her face so when Mr. Perfect pulled away, she looked down at the ground. Something she was good at. He called her beautiful and she blushed. The kiss on her hand didn't make her blush go away either. "Th-thanks for dancing with me." she stated, looking up at him. She looked at him for a little while with a small smile before walking over to her phone. She pulled out the auxillary cord and then saw the text. It was from her brother. Hopefully he wasn't worrying about her too much. Quickly she responded back.
[TO] Aidan
[MSG] I'm fine. And I won't be out late I promise.

Pushing some hair behind her ear, she slowly walked back over to where Casteel was. "Is th-there anything else you wanted to do?" she asked.

Roman poured himself a glass of milk and then poured a second glass for the stranger. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see the young man walking inside. It took everything he had not to smirk. He had to keep his cool. Roman doesn't even know if the guy is homosexual and why he is looking for Martha. For all he knew, Martha was the stranger's girlfriend. That would be really bad for the home team. But for now, Roman will just go on the thought that the stranger is gay. Makes flirting easier. Walking over to the handsome young man, he handed him one of the glasses of milk. "I'm Roman." Might as well get friendly. Roman doesn't just share his chocolate milk with anyone.

Relieved and satisfied with her answer, Aidan motioned for her to follow him. Luckily his place wasn't too far away. As they made their way down the street he attempted to make her laugh with silly words and phrases here and there. Somewhere along the silly banter he remembered his friend Roman. He hadn't heard from him in a few days and he still had a few things at his place that he needed to pick up. Maybe they could make a quick detour. "I need to make a quick stop at a friend's house just a block up if that's alright with you?". He didn't really need any of the things that were at Roman's, but taking a detour meant taking longer to get to his own place which meant getting to spend more time with Cordelia. Aidan realized he was now pulling excuses out of thin air just to stretch his time with her as much as possible. He wondered if she could tell that this was what he was doing. He hoped she hadn't, otherwise he might be coming of as a bit of a creeper. While he waited for her response he heard his phone buzz and pulled it out. It was Abby. He skimmed over her text and sighed slightly in relief then typed out his response.
[To Abby]
[From Aidan]
[Alright, be careful getting home]

Castiel watched as Abigail glanced down at her feet once again. It seemed to be a habit of hers, but he found it rather endearing. She went to check what the flashing light on her phone was and Castiel took the opportunity to do the same. He had eight missed calls from his father, one voice mail and several angry text messages. He didn't feel like replying to any of them. However one of the texts caught his attention. Leon and Cordelia, for whatever reason, were both on the mainland. Not to mention he had seen the female angel flirtatiously talking to a human not too long ago. Cas stared at the message, not at all willing to respond to his father. Perhaps he'd call someone else on the council and ask. However when Abigail returned and asked if there was anything else he wanted to do, he immediately forgot about the issue at hand. He put his phone back in his back pocket and smiled down at her. "I'll go anywhere you'd like to go, I am rather new here after all. I don't know much of anything".

Leon felt his stomach sink as he walked further inside. He had to keep reminding himself why he was here. After a few seconds of silence the stranger walked out from his kitchen and approached him. Leon managed to maintain his stone cold stare despite the fact that he was terrified and amazed by this handsome man all at the same time. He was handed a glass of chocolate milk, after which the man introduced himself as Roman. Somehow his name fit him perfectly. Leon's heart was pounding a little faster than necessary and he quite literally had no idea what to do. He glared at the glass of milk for a moment then somewhat reluctantly took it in his hand. He had nothing against chocolate milk itself, but it seemed like with every move he make he only walked deeper into the lion's mouth. He remained silent for a few seconds, unsure if he should respond by introducing himself as well. It wasn't like he was ever going to see this amazingly handsome man ever again, and if he knew to any extent what Leon was, he'd run for the hills without a doubt. He couldn't get himself to relax, but he decided to at least be polite enough to respond. "Leon" he muttered, cold tone still in tact.

Cordelia followed him laughing at some of the silly things that left Aidan's mouth. It was funny and it was relaxing to be able to not have to worry about hundreds of other angels. The angel would not mind flying back to the mainland often. Especially to listen to Aidan or watch him do any of his artwork. She can make up excuses to come here. She usually does. Then Aidan mentioned a detour. Cordelia didn't mind. More time with Aidan. Maybe that was his intention as well. To spend more time with the angel. That would be nice. To have someone other that Leon to want her around. The thought made her smile like a mad man on the inside, but she needed to keep her cool. "No I don't mind." Cordelia continued to follow him toward the friend's house.

Image

Abigail was left with the task of finding something to do. But she didn't know what there was to do. Between this dance studio, school, and home she didn't do much else. As she was trying to think of ideas her brother texted her. There was no need to reply. Just then an idea popped into her head. She didn't know if Mr. Perfect would like it, but Abby and her brother did. Gently she took his hand pulling him out of the studio. "I-I have an idea." Abby didn't fail to grab her dance bag on the way out. Leaving the studio building she started walking down the street still holding Cas' hand. It took everything she had not to drop it and cross her arms. This was weird for her. "How do you feel about art?" She asked, leading them toward the only art gallery within a mile radius.

Roman held the glass out to his new friend until he took hold of it. Then he took a sip of his own waiting to know the stranger's name. "Leon" The name was almost perfect for him. Leon. That name was going to still with Roman for a little while. "Leon." He said, barely above a whisper to test the name out himself. It was official. Roman liked his name. "I like it. It suits you." he stated almost as if he was giving him an approval of his own name. Roman was trying to read Leon, but he was having a hard time with the cold demeanor that he was giving off. "Well Martha should be off in a few so just hang tight." Roman reassured with a smile on his face. Another sip of his chocolate milk and he moved around Leon to shut the door. He didn't lock it though. As much as Roman would like to keep Leon to himself, he didn't want to scare him by locking the door. Moving pass Leon again he sat down on the couch before his half eaten ham sandwich. Before he took a took hold of his sandwich, he looked at his new acquaintance. "Don't look so stiff. Relax a little. I don't bite." Roman picked up his sandwich. "Unless you want me too." He winked at Leon before taking a bite of his sandwich.

Aidan smiled at her approval. He had officially gained a few more minutes with her. If she had realized he wss doing it on purpose, it hadn't scared her away just yet which was a good sign. He walked at a slow pace, purposely drawing out the walk to his friend's house, as he glanced over at the beautiful woman beside him. "So you know I'm studying art, you know I have a sister, you know about my coffee addiction. Why don't you tell me about yourself?" he asked, genuinely interested in wanting to know more about this girl. She seemed so perfect, almost too perfect to be true. I watched her walk beside him as he waited for an answer. Perhaps they had more in conman besides their love of coffee.

Image

Seemingly out of nowhere, Abigail took Castiel's hand and lead him out of the studio and down the street. It was a change from the shy demeanor he had come to know, but her innocence was still in tact. Castiel smiled softly at her question and nonchalantly laced their fingers together as they continued to walk. "I can't say I'm a huge fan, but I do love anything artistic and...different" he replied, not entirely talking about just art. He found Abigail to be very different and certainly interesting. He had yet to decide if this was a good thing or a bad thing, but the thought of being the one to take that pure, unadulterated innocence from her made him smile all the more. She was the challenge, and he was certain that he was winning. "I'm assuming you like art yourself?".

Image

Leon watched nervously as Roman shuffled around him to close the door, then walked into the living room and settled in his seat. He watched as he picked up a sandwich and he assumed he must have interrupted him earlier when he rang the door bell. Leon stood in his place like a statue, not daring to make a single move. His insides were screaming at him to just walk up to this strange and amazing man and do some things he wouldn't be too keen on admiring to, but this only made him all the more cautious. "Don't look so stiff. Relax a little. I don't bite." . The man's voice cut through the silence like a blade. Leon hesitated, just as he always does, but finally gave in and walked over, making sure to sit a safe distance away from him.
"Unless you want me too.". Leon could immediately feel his face heating up, so he quickly looked away. Not before giving the man a quick cold glare, of course. He was certain now, he was dangerously close to being swallowed up by the lion. He took a sip of the drink and stared at the wall, doing everything possible to avoid any form of eye contact.

Cordelia didn't exactly know what to say. She could talk about her human life, but that didn't exist anymore. She honestly had no idea where her family was anymore. Or what her family consisted of. It was sad really. The angel didn't want to lie to Aidan since he has been nothing, but open and honest with her. So instead of talking about her human family, she would discuss her new family in a way that made them still seem human. "Well my family is rather big. But the only one I really care about is my brother Leon. I'm studying to be a nurse, but I'm doing it online." That was a lie. She was sick before she could even finish her first year. She has been a angel longer than she would have liked to have been. "But I have always thought about theatrical arts. Not so much the kind of art you are into. Do you watch plays?" She asked. It would be interesting if he did. Cordelia can't really see them anymore. No time. But she would love to be in one like she was back in high school.

Image

Abigail was on the look out for the art gallery. There were more people on the street than earlier. The art gallery was open usually open until ridiculous hours into the evening. And they were always changing what was inside of the gallery daily. It was exciting to see what they had up. It would be weird going without Aidan. Cas answered her question and it was an acceptable answer. Not everyone was meant for art. "Yes I do. My family is sort of artsy." The most artsy one would be Aidan of course. He was completely committed to his art major. After a little while they got to the open gallery. All the art inside was modern and current. Opening the door, Abigail led Mr. Perfect inside. It was rather quiet besides the faint whispers. The person at the front desk smiled at Abby and Abby waved back politely. "This is the modern art gallery." she whispered, gesturing to the whole area.

Roman continued to eat his sandwich as Leon sat down a pretty good distance away. That kind of hurt Roman's feelings, but he would get over it. Within minutes, Roman finished the ham sandwich that was on his plate. He stood up to wash his plate and put his dish away. Ro was not happy with the silence at all. He wanted his stranger to speak and relax. He wouldn't hurt Leon. He hasn't down anything to deserve pain. "Are you always this quiet Leon?" Roman asked curiously, making his way back to the couch. He sat down a bit closer, but not too close. Taking the chocolate milk in hand he watched Leon. "If you can't think of anything to say, most people just bring up the weather." Roman sipped his milk, enjoying teasing Leon. The glare that Leon gave him earlier was actually quiet attractive. It showed that he had emotions. "Does your silence mean you're thinking? Are thinking about asking me to bite you?" Now Roman ws teasing and flirting. He had to keep Leon around.

Cordelia could imagine Aidan as a theater kid. Art must run in the family or something of that nature. Clearly his favorite seemed to be painting. At least it had to be if he was willing to make his own paint. That was beyond commitment. Dedication. Passion. Love. Just talking to Aidan had her learn new things about him. She was not going to want to go back to the Island so soon. They stopped before a door. This must be his friends house. "Guess we should knock." Even though she had no idea who the person was that lived here she did not mind knocking for Aidan.

Image

Abigail started at the farthest end of the building to start looking at the art on the wall. The brunette wasn't good at interpreting the modern art at all. In fact she doesn't understand it. It was just looking at the colors and how things meshed together reminded her of dancing. How some many different styles come together to create a masterpiece. Cas seemed interested in her family's minor obsession with the arts. "Well my mother often shows up on Broadway when she isn't teaching. My father is a graffiti artist. Not on the walls, its on a canvas. My brother did theater and he is big on painting. I dance. Interpretive dancing is really where my art is. And then I sketch from time to time." she answered. Not one stutter. Not a single moment of hesitation. She loved talking about her family and their passions. Her eyes didn't move away from the painting on the wall. She just looked at it. Seeing it as if it was moving before her eyes. "We are really big on expression." She added.

Roman just smirked at Leon's glare. It only proved that Roman's tactics of getting some reaction out of him was working. And the unspeakable happened. "Are you always this cocky?" Roman's smirk went into a full on smile. "Only when I'm on a mission." At least Roman knew how to get a reaction out out him. Cockiness and teasing. Which were the most fun ways. Well there were some other reactions that Roman wanted to see, but those were the unspeakable things that he shouldn't even be thinking about. Finishing his chocolate milk there was a knock at the door. "Aren't I popular today." Setting the glass back down, Roman stood up and went to the open the door. Before him stood Aidan and a very pretty young woman. "Hey Aidan. Nice to see you have a distraction that actually talks back to you." Roman teases everyone. "Hello I'm Roman." He said, not waiting for Aidan to introduce him. "Nice to meet you. I'm Cordelia."

Aidan followed Cordelia up to Roman's front door and let her knock. It didn't occur to him until just then that he probably should have called or texted ahead. For all he knew, Roman wasn't even home. Or he could be busy and here Aidan was showing up at his door for something he didn't necessarily need. His only defense was that in the bag of forgotten things he had left his ipod charger, and he simply couldn't paint without his music. After Cordelia knocked a few seconds passed before Roman came to the door. "Hey Aidan. Nice to see you have a distraction that actually talks back to you.". Aidan only chuckled. He was used to Roman's teasing and had become fond of it over time. Then Roman turned to Cordelia and introduced himself, after which she did the same. With any other man as good looking as him he would have felt the slightest bit threatened by his presence, but Aidan knew Roman wouldn't be the least bit interested in Cordelia no matter how beautiful she was. It didn't seem like he was doing anything, but just as Aidan took a step inside, a young man that seemed to be around Abby's age stepped out from the living room. Aidan paused and looked at Roman. "sorry, are we interrupting?" he teased with a slight smirk of his own.

Castiel listened to Abigail talk about her family with a certain...passion? He wasn't sure if this was the right word to describe it but by what he had learned about passion, it seemed to fit the description. She talked about all the kinds of arts her family was into and just barely touched on the subject of her brother. She explained how her brother was big on painting and immediately Castiel knew it was the same man from the cafe. He remembered hearing he and Cordelia discussing an art store before she all but ran out of the cafe. This was definitely interesting. Castiel wasn't very fond of Cordelia, in fact he avoided crossing paths with her, but she seemed to take a liking to his newly found human's brother. Perhaps she had the same plan in mind as he did. Of course with the angels being able to feel, their sexual desires stayed in tact. Whereas Castiel only did it for the fun of it. Abigail continued to talk about how much she liked to dance and Castiel continued to scheme in his head. He almost had the perfect plan to get her to where he wanted, all that needed to be done was put it into action. "You're family sounds interesting" Cas commented as he glanced at the painting. "Your brother is lucky. I've always wanted to learn how to paint.

The handsome Roman smiled and Leon all but melted in his hands. It wasn't the devious smirk he had been getting, but a real smile. It took everything in him not to give in right then and there. "Only when I'm on a mission." the man replied and Leon frowned. A mission? What was that supposed to mean. Leon was tempted to ask, but before he could there was a knock at the door, taking the handsome man away from him. He sighed in relief as soon as Roman stepped out of the living room and let his shoulders relax a little. It felt like he has been holding in his breath the entire time. And perhaps he had been without noticing. Never in his life as an angel had it been so difficult to keep up his cold appearance. He could hear Roman talking to another man at the door, a friend perhaps. Maybe a boyfriend. He mentally kicked himself for that last thought and finished the drink in his hand. Just then, an all too familiar voice came from the door. Leon's eye widened and he quickly got to his feet, setting the empty glass on the table, and stepped out behind Roman. His eyes immediately locked with Cordelia's and he gave her that look, which she knew too well, that screamed "get me out of here quick!" but managed to regain his composure before either of the guys had the chance to look. He was sure Cordelia caught his cry for help. She always did somehow. And then it occurred to him, what was she doing there? And who exactly was this guy that she was with? They had a lot to talk about it seemed.

Cordelia ran her fingers through her brown hair. She didn't know if she should go in or not. But it would be rude just to stand outside like she was offended or something of that nature. The angel was having that debate in her head. Go inside. Or stay outside. But then she saw Leon. At first she thought it was some boy that looked like Leon, but the look on his face said otherwise. Why was Leon at this man's house? Why did he need help? Automatically Cordelia believed something bad happened to Leon and she was going to attack Roman. But then she remembered that Roman was Aidan's friend. She would rather not lose Aidan because of something someone else did. Quickly, Cordelia had to think of a reason to leave that didn't reveal who they were. But nothing was coming to mind. Not a single thing. She wasn't big on lies. In fact she would much rather just tell the truth and have the humans hate her. But then the council would probably kill her and Leon. It was bad enough Cas was on the mainland. Use some acting! she scolded herself. "Oh hey Leon." She said trying to wave and play off that she was about to grab him and run. Stopping dead in her tracks, she pulled out her phone and glanced over a message that didn't exist. Her eyes grew wide a little and then she looked back up at Leon. "Um Leon and I have to go. There is a family emergency." Cordelia took hold of Leon's hand and pulled him away from Roman. "Aidan we can talk later. It was nice meeting you Roman." Even though she wasn't sure if that was true or not at this point. With Leon in hand, she bolted with her best friend.

Image

Abigail continued to look at the art work, thinking about her brother and his project. She never knew when he was done with a project until he would start up a new one. From time to time she would help him make paint or work on something silly with him. Other times she would do a giant sketch for him and allowed him to play with it. With art there were a thousand different possibilities. Her family tried to take advantage of all of them. The only art they haven't covered is the Opera. Unless their mother has taken it up recently. Abigail would like to touch the artwork, but she would not like to get yelled at for touching the merchandise. Mr. Perfect said something about wanting to learn how to paint. "Have you ever thought about taking painting lessons?" She asked, with a slight smile as she looked at him. She was only joking of course.

Image

Roman moved away from the door so that Aidan and Cordelia could walk inside. "sorry, are we interrupting?" A smirk fell on his face as he looked over at his new friend that was now standing near him. "You would have if you came any later." Then Cordelia seemed to know his friend Leon. Actually they must have been related by the way she said family emergency. "I enjoyed your company Leon." Roman said right before the two high tailed it out of there. Roman shut the door behind them and moved over to the table to pick up the two glasses. "Well they left pretty quick. But what brings you by Aidan." Roman moved towards the kitchen and dropped the cups into the sink. "Let me guess. Another art project." He said referring to the art supplies in his friends hands.

Aidan watch in complete and utter confusion as Cordelia grabbed hold of the unknown boy's hand and all but dragged him out of the house. Leon? If he remembered correctly, she said her brother's name was Leon. What a coincidence that they met up here. His thoughts were interrupted by Roman's question and he shook his head slightly. "Uh, no, I came to pick up that bag that's been here for days" he explained, still a bit bewildered by the whole situation. Did this mean that his plans to spend more time with Cordelia had completely backfired? "How...exactly do you know Cordelia's brother?". He was more than a bit curious considering he had just met Cordelia that same day. He smirked slightly, knowing his friend all too well. "And how much have you corrupted him?"

Image

Castiel glanced over every art worked they walked by. He had to admit it was a bit interesting, Abigail asked if he had ever thought about taking art lessons and all he could do was smile. He knew she was joking of course, but he was fully intending on taking her advice. Not that he needed lessons, he could probably paint with his eyes closed if he really wanted to. But getting art lessons what actually part of his perfect plan. "You know, maybe I will" he said as if he were pondering the idea. He then turned to her with his signature grin and a slight tilts of the head. "Do you think your brother would like to have an art student?".

Image

Within a matter of seconds, Cordelia devised a plan to get Leon out of the den and into open air. Once they made it out to the porch and the door was shut, Leon performed a little spaztic number with his hands and ran his fingers through his blonde hair. He let out a breath he had been holding in since god knows when and looked at Cordelia. "Who was that? No, what are you doing here? No wait...thank you for that" he breathed, leaning against the wall beside the door. He still wasn't sure what she was doing here, and no matter how much he wanted to leave, he knew he couldn't. If this girl Martha made it back from her job okay, he could have merely minutes to get to her before it was too late. He couldn't afford to be too far, but man was he grateful to get a short breather. He ran his fingers through his hair again and looked at the woman. "I hope the family emergency wasn't too important because Roman's neighbor is at work and if I leave..." he trailed off, knowing that Cordelia knew far too well what would happen. "Just...stay until she does?.

Cordelia felt bad for just ditching her new friend Aidan the way she had. And they hadn't even made off the front porch. Leon was leaning close to Roman's door, but far enough away to think that the two had gone somewhere. "Way to put thanking me on the bottom of your long list of things to talk to me about." she said. But she would do anything for Leon. He was family even if he wasn't. But she would happily answer all his questions some other time. Right now she was just trying to come up with the family emergency that she made up. "You want to go back inside there?" she questioned, not to happy to hear a yes. There weren't many reasons for why they shouldn't except for one. "There is no family emergency small enough to make up for how fast I dragged you away from those two." Cordelia decided to sit on the floor and across from where Leon was standing. They could wait for the human somewhere else. Going back in there was not an option. "Maybe we could wait for the infected human near their house. Cause we are still in front of Roman's and I would rather not be heard since we have a family emergency we should be attending." Cordelia added to another reason why they shouldn't go back inside of Roman's house.

Image

Abigail continued to shuffling her and Cas through the art gallery. They spent a decent amount of time at each photo. Examining it and trying to understand it. Every now and then Abby would glance at Mr. Perfect watching the art. He actually seemed a tad bit interested. Which was more than enough for her. He didn't have to fall in love with art all at once. "You know, maybe I will" Abigail giggled softly. She ran her hands through her hair as Cas looked at her with yet another charming smile. She almost missed the question because she was too busy staring at his face. It was like he was created from the heavens. "I can ask him for you. But I don't think he would mind too much." Abigail smiled back at him. They were nearing the end of the gallery. She was really glad that she came in here to look at the paintings. Tomorrow she would probably do an interpretive dance. The pictures have inspired her.

Image

Roman nodded when Aidan said that he was here for his bag. Ro had managed to take rather good care of it. Or at least avoid mistaking it for his own. But he was rather tempted to go through it. "I will grab it for you." He said walking over to his hall closet. It was on the top shelf. Out of the way and practically forgotten. "How...exactly do you know Cordelia's brother?" So Roman was correct in thinking that his handsome stranger was related to the brown haired gal that came in with Aidan. "And how much have you corrupted him?" Roman chuckled and walked back over to his friend with the bag in hand. "Believe it or not. This one found me in search of Martha, but instead of knocking on her door he knocked on mine." Roman leaned against the wall. "And I don't corrupt be. I just ease them into the dark side. But I didn't get the chance to do that. But I'm pretty sure I will see him again."
