Aria's relatively short for her age, and she couldn't enjoy it more. Being small as well as female makes it common for others to underestimate her and think of her as less of a threat than she is. She's commonly seen smirking to herself, thinking up intricate plots or perhaps plotting vengeance against someone who even only slightly bothered her. The red eyes she sports only increases her intimidating and piercing glares to a whole new level. Her eyes themselves are naturally large and round, but Aria purposely puts them at a slight squint to get a sharper, more intelligent appearance. Her hair is long, flowy, and fluffy - black that can appear greyish in certain lightings, usually tied into twintails. As far as clothing goes, Aria's favorite stage outfits are elaborate with frills and wings, looking almost like a gothic lolita, complete with umbrella to boot. For casual wear she prefers rather simplistic clothes that are practical rather than attractive. Of course, she always wears a black glove over her left hand that reaches to the top of her arm, complete with a small black bow on the wrist.

❥ Singing | Perhaps one of Aria's favorite things to do, she loves singing to vent her feelings and stress. It's very cathartic and she couldn't live without it.
❥ Justice | Maybe it makes her a little vindictive, but Ari's almost obsessed with the idea of justice. She wants the world to be a fair place, and for crimes to be punished. She's more than eager to be the punisher if she has to.
❥ Seafood | The smell, the taste, the texture - everything about seafood is perfection for her. She especially like sushi.
❥ Investigating | Ari likes to dig into people's pasts and lives more than she should. She's great at getting information and figuring others out.

⌦ Escaping Justice | Ari hates people who can hurt others and get away with it. She wants everyone to have to pay for their crimes one way or another.
⌦ Half-heartedness | Why bother fighting if you aren't firm in your convictions? Ari respects someone who can stand fast for their ideals, but someone who just goes with the flow is unforgivable. For her, the ends justifies the means. People unwilling to kill for what they want are scum to her.
⌦ Stupidity | People who act without thinking - people who are careless and thoughtless, Ari absolutely can't stand them. It's everyone's duty to be able to think logically, and those who don't jeopardize everyone around them.

ⓆⓊⒾⓇⓀⓈ
Sleep buddy| Sometimes late at night, Ari walks into other people's rooms and cuddles in beside them. If asked, she'll adamantly deny it ever happened and run away.
Humming| When idle, Ari will sometimes hum a catchy tune under her breath. She's pretty musical so luckily it doesn't bother others too much.
Face practice| She enjoys practicing making varying different faces for maximum dramatic effect. All of those cruel smirks, those playful smiles? They were all carefully crafted via hours of practice.

ⓌⒺⒶⓀⓃⒺⓈⓈⒺⓈ
Happy families]|"Seeing a happy family easily brings tears to her eyes as memories of a past live echo back at her."
Kozuki Matsuri|"Her beloved little sister is essentially a hostage. If Ari's not careful, she could lose the most important person in her life."
Immoral|"Aria doesn't know the limit of acceptable violence and needless violence. She constantly goes far beyond the norm in her battles."
Hatred|"Ari can easily lose herself in her hatred, letting the negativity consume her, which only adds more stress onto her shoulders."

ⓈⓉⓇⒺⓃⒼⓉⒽⓈ
Air Manipulation|"Ari has many skills with her ability. She can create wind, or make illusions with the air. If focused, she can stop air flow in a small area in front of her, choking someone to death easily. She can also create small localized explosions of air particles, to either harm others or propel her forwards. She can also hover for short periods of time. "
Intelligence|"Ari's incredibly skilled at carefully planning operations and large scale strategems. She aims to best her father so she has to be at the top of her game at all times. She's never lost a game of chess to anyone but her father."
Revenge|"She is almost scarily skilled at getting revenge for the smallest of things. Ari will know how to best get her last laugh by striking you at your weakest, with your worst fears. It's easy to mistake her for evil."
Song and Dance|"Aria's very good at singing, dancing, and entertaining others in general. She can draw a crowd and keep it with relative ease. As such, she's a very successful pop idol."

ⒻⒺⒶⓇⓈ
Isolophobia| Fear of being alone. While Ari's ruthless, she's afraid that one day she'll be too vigilantic and drive her allies away.
Menophobia| Fear of menstruation. It's a really inconvenient fear, obviously. She gets panic attacks just thinking about it.
Tomophobia| Aria's fear of undergoing surgery is so prevalent that she'll avoid getting medical help even when badly injured.

[~ Cunning | Inquisitive | Thorough | Cruel | Confident | Steadfast | Competitive ~}

If you could use one word to describe Aria, it'd be that she's headstrong. It's very hard to go against her when she wants something, and she's very very good at getting what she wants. This might make her seem overbearing to some people, but others might consider it to be passionate and admirable. No matter what her desire is - the last chocolate in the fridge, the right time slot for a concert, or even a war to fix society, Aria will always have a complicated and intricate strategy in mind to achieve her goal. She's almost always thinking in terms of the big picture and will do whatever it takes, at any cost, with no real limit on what she's willing to do. If murder, torture, or rape are what it takes to fix the world, Aria will do it without a second thought, as long as it truly benefits her cause. She's a relentless hunter who will stop at nothing.

That's not to say she's impossible to get along with, of course. When not madly planning ahead, Ari's a friendly and loyal person that will guard your back better than you can guard your own. She's intensely protective of those around her that she trusts, due to it being very hard to get her trust in the first place. At first she's difficult to approach, because of her natural paranoia and cautious nature - always putting checks in place to make sure she has a plan in case you betray her at some point. But if you can prove your loyalty, Aria will be the best friend you could ever ask for.

Deep down, Ari already hates herself. She knows she's become a ruthless monster just as bad as the people she committed to fight. It was a result of throwing herself too deeply into the war that slowly corrupted her. Aria knows full well she's done horrible things that can't be forgiven, and she also knows that she isn't immune to the gun of justice. Maybe she became willing to do immoral things as a way to protect the others on her team from doing the same - allowing them to maintain the belief that they're fighting on the right. She fully intends on seeing the war to the end, but she also has no plans on living to see the kind of world her efforts will create. No matter what, Aria will never let others know these true feelings of hers.

{☛ ⒽⒾⓈⓉⓄⓇⓎ ☚}
Ari was born as the middle sibling of three, and she was the one who never really fit in with the others. Her father was one of Ira's higher ranking men, serving as a brain behind the dark reality of the world. Seeing other families being torn apart, Aria was always curious about why her own family was allowed to maintain in one piece, whole. Even as a child she was investigative - trying to search out the truth amidst the lies and the false peace everyone comforted themselves with. When her mother died in her childhood, and her father became even more emotionally distant than before, it only fueled Aria's desire to uncover the truth.

With an upperclassman she befriended, Xavier King, Aria began investigating. The stress overwhelmed her at times, however - as well as grief from losing her mother. As a result, Aria took to singing, grabbing the attention of an agent who decided to turn her into a pop idol where she learned to sing and dance for a crowd, as well as giving private performances for the rich and powerful for extra money (and a chance to overhear crucial information). Her agent, Souji Ikeda, quickly became a surrogate father of sorts to her - being a kind mentor to her in times of hardships. She grew to rely on him and he grew to look at her as if she were his own daughter. Eventually, Ari realized some of the darker things her father has done in order to keep the citizens trembling in fear and outed him in front of the whole family, where he admitted the whole purpose was to pull special favors in order to make sure none of his children had to be sent away. Natsuo, her big brother, slapped her and said his father was doing the right thing, while Mizuki grew ill from the new tension that arose in the family home. Ari felt estranged from everyone and never truly forgave her father or her brother for what she considered a betrayal.

Aria devoted herself to her career as an idol, gathering fans and more support as time went on, all the while plotting to have them rise with her in rebellion when the time was right. Ikeda eventually wizened up to her plot and warned against it, saying it was foolhardy and that she'd only regret it in the end. This made her angry of course, so she lashed out at him, permanently injuring his wrist. Her actions caused ripples and when she returned home, she was immediately accosted by Shoku's men and dragged out to the public square to be "corrected" for her attempt at rebellion, the whole while her father watched and made not a single move to help. Aria eventually passed out from the pain, but when she awoke she was forcibly given surgery to remove the scars on her back while awake - given a drug to keep her paralyzed but extra sensitive to pain. After this, she was set up to be sent to the work camps. That was when she was marked by the Light and she fought her way out, killing many in her desperate escape, reuniting with her childhood friend Xavier, who himself was also marked. The two thus founded the New Tokyo branch of the Freedom Fighters. Of course, the first plan was to eliminate Kenshiro Matsuri, so she returned home in order to assassinate him, only to hear from her brother that Mizuki - her sister with the weak and sickly body - was taken as punishment. She ran off, trying to find Ikeda to confirm this horrible truth, only to discover a note at his house that stated he volunteered to be taken to the same work camp as Mizuki in order to look after her, and promised to keep the girl safe. Thus the rift between father and daughter was complete, and Ari knew that one way or another, one of them would be the one to plot the other's death. Ari, with her new teammates, knew what she had to do.

After many trials, years later and now nineteen years old, with new allies in Damian and the enigmatic Yui, Aria begins a new step in her plan.

{☛ ⓄⓉⒽⒺⓇ ☚}

Some of Aria's sins include selling a politician's 13 year old daughter into slavery to lure him out and kill him, incriminating innocent people to protect her team, torturing government worker's children and killing them in front of him, hacking into government databases to try and locate Mizuki and Ikeda, and worst of all, stealing the last chocolate from Yui's hand and eating it in front of her.

Yui could see them walking up the sidewalk. Apparently, cars were reserved for important figure heads so mostly everyone used public transportation; the shuttle boats, the sky train, all running off of green energy, which Yui found funny considering there was nothing green about this land. When she saw them, Yui opened up the door to the room and took the steps carefully. Everything was careful, Yui noticed, from the way they left the house, to the way they operated; so she had to be careful too. Bounding down the stairs like a rabbit on silent feet, Yui entered the living room where Aria and Xavier were. At Aria's question she shook her head. "No, I stayed inside." A quick, easily lie. In truth, Yui had been practicing in front of a mirror for about an hour to make it seem convincing. She took a seat on the recliner beside the couch. "There was a public execution this morning, they killed someone with the mark, like us." Yui noticed Xavier grimaced at the news. She knew that quite often, the Freedom Fighters would relocate light beings, but if they didn't come to them for help, there was really nothing they could do. Yui knew this was going to bother him and so she simply said, "I'm sorry." She looked down at her hands, fidgeting.

"Um!" Yui looked up, she wasn't sure how to phrase this question, knowing she wasn't supposed to leave. "The ocean-I mean, can I-can we, go see it?" She looked down at her hands again. "There's something I want to see," Yui explained quietly. Xavier nodded his head, looking at Aria. "I think we can make that happen. Ari, why don't you take her and I'll wait for Damian, then we'll meet up with you guys." Yui looked up, a smile blossoming on her face. "I'll go get ready!" She chirped, running back up the stairs to her room. All of her clothes were borrowed, given to her by both the Freedom Fighters and things that used to belong to the daughter of this house before the Freedom Fighters moved in. The clothing were a bit big since Yui still needed to gain weight, but the winter boots fit just fine. She pulled out a scarf and mittens, running back down the stairs to where the jackets were hanging up. "I'm ready!"

Aria stared at Xavier in disbelief. She wanted to have a strategy meeting, not a fun outing at the beach! It was dangerous to be outside, and they had to think up their next move! She shot him a dirty glare and he responded with an infuriatingly innocent smile. He knew what he was doing - this sort of thing was seriously a waste of time. She waited until Yui went off to get ready back up to her room.

"Are you kidding me, Xavier?" Aria snapped, glaring angrily at him. "Do you not have a serious bone in your body, ever?"

Xavier shrugged his shoulders, still looking pleased with himself in that way of his. "Back when you were the Little Sinner, you smiled a lot. You used to be fun! But since we got here, you've always been stressing, Aria. Like, geez, when was the last time I heard you sing? You're really good at it."

Aria scowled.

"Of course I'm good at it, it was my career! Was." The ex-idol shook her head in anger. "I've got more important things to do than entertaining perverts. We have to take down Shoku!"

Sometimes Aria felt like he didn't even care about the war. When he got all playful like this - he really did seem like an incredibly irresponsible leader. In some ways he was - but it wasn't as if Aria didn't notice all the little things he did to keep everyone else safe. He sure didn't act serious all the time, though.

"Well, obviously." Xavier already walked over to the fridge and was shuffling through stuff to try and eat something. "There's no problem with having a little fun, though!! Just, relax for once."

"I-" Aria wanted to retort and yell and fight but Yui had already returned, announcing that she was ready. Aria just shot Xavier another dirty look and regarded the tiny underweight girl with a frown. "Here, the chocolate. We... really gotta fatten you up. Not letting you fight until you build up more strength, Yui."

Yui really was a tiny little thing - all skin and bones in a tiny package. It made Aria uncomfortable just thinking about letting her fight. She clearly wasn't suited for it combat, no matter how powerful her ability might be. Basically, Aria didn't see how she could be relied on as an ally - at least not just yet.

"...Let's go then."

They were outside again, heading towards the beach. Aria already created illusions to cover their tracks and make it look like they weren't there by manipulating the air, but she still felt nervous and uneasy. You couldn't be too paranoid - anyone could be watching, and they might just end up telling Shoku everything. It was a risk she didn't want to take. The beach itself was freezing - sand mostly covered in an endless snow. The water still flowed in and out, dotted with white flakes melting into the surface. Honestly, it could've been pretty if it weren't literally everywhere.

Aria had an idea. Real combat wasn't an option, but she still wanted to help Yui train somehow. "No one's around." Aria muttered, turning to face Yui. She had a small grin on her face and made a gun-shape with her fingers, pointing them beside Yui. "Bang." A small explosion erupted right behind Yui's ear, right where Aria was aiming. She smirked with pleasure. "No one's here to stop us, right? I wanna see what your powers can do! If you want to stop me, you'll have to do it by force!"

Aria laughed, already creating fake illusions of herself and mingling with them to hide which one's really her. "It's good to get some practice in, isn't it?"

She could hear them arguing even from upstairs, but Yui pretended she hadn't noticed. She took the chocolate eagerly from Aria, thanking the girl and sucking on the square to savor the flavor. When they stepped outside, Yui pulled the hood of the jacket over her head, being careful to keep her head down so that no cameras could pick up her features. When they got to the beach, her boots sunk into the sand. Due to the fact that the ocean was too vast to freeze over completely, the constant lapping at the sand made it so that the beach was not ice covered. Her boots sunk into the moistened eroded shells, leaving prints. Yui had finished the chocolate by now and was about to look for what she thought may be there when Aria attacked her. The girls' abrupt force of wind nicked Yui's ear, causing blood to flow down. Her expression was one of shock and she jumped back in case Aria decided to attack again.

"What are you doing!" Yui asked in alarm, placing a hand over the wound. Blood dribbled between her fingers, staining the borrowed jacket. Aria spoke of defending herself, calling attacking the unarmed girl practice. "I don't want to hurt you." Yui protested, she was suddenly surrounded by Aria's illusions and Yui couldn't tell the difference between the real and the fake. Obviously Aria wasn't going to give up on this and so Yui lowered her hand from her ear, her hands balling into fists. The blood that had dripped down separated from the cloth in her mittens and the sand beneath her, the droplets floated, turning into needles and shooting themselves in all directions. The illusions rippled and Yui realized with startling clarity, none of them were real. (Is this alright?) Had Aria slipped away when she wasn't looking?

Yui pulled off her jacket, throwing it upwards to serve as a distraction and running in the other direction into the ocean. Salt water soaked into her clothes, flooded her boots, splashed on her face. It was cold like ice and felt like thousands of needles piercing against her skin at once. Something shiny caught her eye and Yui dove under, both to hide from Aria and to find out what the shiny item was. It turned out to be nothing more than a shell and Yui grasped it in her hands throwing it in an arc out of the water so that it came up above the sea. Instantly, Yui swam deeper to avoid the attack, wondering where Aria could have possibly gone.

Thanks to the ena, the odd second layer of skin that allowed Yui to breathe underwater, she could stay down as long as she needed. Yui had no idea if other humans had such a thing, but from the way the Doctor that had revived her phrased it, she found it unlikely. Unless Aria was just hiding that fact from her comrades.

As Yui swam, she looked for any sign of a clue that might unlock her past, but all she found were shells. She was turning to go back when she saw something that almost looked like a what flag. A truce? No, it was in the water and lodged between two chunks of ice. She swam down, kicking hard to grasp the cloth between her fingers and pulling until it came free. She swam back up quickly, the pressure in her head causing her ears to pop. As she broke through the surface, Yui waved it in the air like a flag so that Aria wouldn't attack. "I found something!"

Of course Aria wasn't just going to risk herself in a mock fight. She made herself invisible for a moment and stood at a bit of a distance to observe how Yui fought, seeing as she never really saw it in person before. The way the blood splattered out in all directions made it abundantly clear that Yui's powers were quite incredible, though seemed to be purely offensive, rather than general utility like her own. It seemed good for taking out large groups of enemies at a time, but given how she fled into the water with no time to spare, Ari noted that Yui had low stamina overall. Perhaps the power itself exhausted her, or maybe it was just Yui's own lack of stamina? In any case, she needed more training but seemed to have raw talent. Yui still could be refined more, of course, but it was fine for now. Once she was out of sight, Aria dispelled her illusions and instead summoned a current of air for her to float on, moving over the sea.

"If it wasn't so cold, it'd actually be kind of nice..." Aria admitted to herself as she lay down on her current of air, floating peacefully above the rippling waves, idly watching the clouds pass by. How was Mizuki, anyways? Whereever she was, was she allowed to see the clouds? What were the chances they were looking at the same cloud, then and now? Was she even still alive anymore? Maybe if Aria wasn't so obsessed with fixing people's wrongs, Mizuki would still be able to live a life of relative freedom.

Though it was pathetic, Ari felt overwhelmed by her own thoughts. Still, it wasn't such a bad thing. At least she was mostly alone, so it wasn't as if she was thinking on the job. As such, she started to hum a light, poppy tune, lips forming the words that silently left her tongue. It was one of her earlier songs - meant to invoke feelings of nostalgia of happier times with a catchy, addicting beat. She related to it quite well and it eased the tension off of her mind until-

"I found something!"

Taken completely by surprise, Aria accidentally let go of her air, causing her to fall into the freezing ocean. Waterlogged and cursing her stupidity, Aria used a blast of wind to expel herself from the ocean and went back on her cushion of air, shooting Yui the dirtiest of scowls. The idol completely forgot the mermaid was there as she got lost in her humming. Stupid. Idiotic.

"....Cloth or something?" Aria stared at it, bewildered. Sure, it was something, but did it really matter? She was freezing and shivering and wanted to go huddle by a fire. Instead she was out in the bitter biting cold, wondering why a piece of cloth was so important. Yui... could get excited over the most mundane of things. Though perhaps, if she really was telling the truth about her amnesia..."Okay, we'll take it back. It might help you recover your memories, so it's probably fine."

Aria floated back to the land, giving Yui an inviting nod of the head. "Can we get back yet? It's probably not safe to be out for so long."

That was when Xavier and Damian decided to show their worthless faces. Almost immediately, Aria felt hands over her eyes in the most childish prank ever.

"Guess who?"

"A fucking idiot."

Aria punched Xavier in the stomach and turned away, moving to return back to headquarters. She gave Damian a slight nod of the head, shivering from the soaked clothing. "Don't ask why I'm all wet."

Aria didn't seem too pleased that Yui had surfaced. The girl was startled and fell into the ocean, but quickly lifted herself out and onto what almost looked like a cloud. "I'm sorry..." Yui apologized, "Did I scare you?" Aria was clearly not as excited about the piece of cloth as Yui was. She nodded her head to Ari's question and began swimming back towards the shore where Xavier and Damian were just showing up. "Whatchya got there Yui?" Damon asked curiously, raising an eyebrow. "I don't know." Yui admitted, looking at the piece of fabric in her hands. Out of the water, she was freezing and she picked up her jacket to put it back on. Yui was about to when she noticed that Aria was shaking. "Do you want to wear mine?" Yui asked, holding the coat out to the girl.

"Put yours on Yui, she can have mine." Xavier spoke after recovering from the punch to the stomach. Yui shrugged her coat back on and they began the trudge back to the base. As soon as they entered, Damian ordered both girls to strip at the door. Her cheeks turned bright red. "Don't look, okay?" Yui asked and turned around, taking off her water logged clothing. Damian handed her a towel and she wrapped it around herself. "Um, if you don't mind, I'm gonna go get changed." She gave the cloth she had found to Xavier. Upon further examination, it appeared to be a torn piece of what once could have been a shirt or dress. When Yui returned, the cloth was spread out on the table and both boys were sitting beside it, chatting quietly. Aria had yet to return.

As she grew closer, she could see black scribbles on it. "Come here a minute and turn around," confused, Yui did as told. Xavier brushed her hair aside, examining comparing the numbers on the cloth to the ones tattooed on the back of her neck. "It's a match, so we've figured one thing out. Damian, go get Ari." His expression became serious as Damian left to get the ex-idol. Yui looked at the words printed on it, a feeling of dread settling into her stomach. Property of Ira Shoku, if found, please alert nearest corrections officer and take shelter in home. Why it said all that on the inside of a shirt, Yui had no idea. Unless that was meant to be the outside? She went to the fridge, her hands shaking as she poured herself a glass of milk and sat on the floor beside the table, waiting for Aria and Damian to return.

What were they going to think? Yui wondered. She wanted to scream, this didn't help her at all, in fact, it made her look as though she could have been sent here as a spy. Yui didn't think so though, the name Ira Shoku itself paralyzed her with terror, it made screams ring in her head and she closed her eyes, pressing a hand against one of her eyes as though to make the images disappear. She didn't understand them and it made her nervous and confused.

Aria was fuming. While countless immoral things were happening, Aria was busy being huddled under a blanket in her room, wearing nothing but pyjamas. While innocent people were being hurt, she was playing around on the beach. How could she let Xavier talk her into having fun? Changing in front of the water girl was humiliating and indignifying - but was eye opening all the same. Yui was ridiculously small to the point of almost looking unhealthy. What kind of life did she live? All of these mysteries were going to have to surface at some point.

There was a knock, and Aria knew it had to be Damian. "Come in, what's up?" Damian was more serious about things than Xavier was and he was willing to talk strategy with Aria more often than not. On the other hand, when Xavier wanted to be lazy (like, all the time), Damian never did anything to really stop him. Basically he was patient most of the time, allowing people to be as crazy as they wanted. Aria supposed it was a fine enough trait, and she trusted him after all. Unlike the others, Damien's power was entirely based on support. This made it easy to coordinate, but it also put him in danger as he was unable to fight back very much on his own.

"Ari, i met with Foxhound like you said." Damian was using his telepathy on her to prevent anyone else overhearing. "He thinks something big's going to happen in a few weeks, but doesn't know what yet. Want me to keep you posted?"

Ari shook her head.

"Yeah, that'd be for the best. Shoku's planning something, and we need to find out what."

"How exactly did you get a criminal lord on our team, anyways?"

Ari just gave him a mysterious smile and said nothing. Finally, Damian relented, deciding not to pry.

"We found out something about Yui." Damian said aloud, already turning back to the hall. "You should come down, I think you'll find it interesting."

It was unfortunate, since she just wanted to think to herself for the time being, but if there was some useful info garnered from the cloth, Aria had to make an appearance. She tossed on a sweater from her drawer and climbed down the stairs, sticking her tongue out at Xavier before greeting Yui once again. Suddenly serious, her blonde friend explained what they uncovered. Now, while many people might've expected Ari to all out attack Yui for being a spy, this kind of proved the exact opposite. It actually set her mind at ease just a little bit. Seeing how scared Yui seemed to be was further evidence of her innocence.

"If you were a spy, you'd never have given us a reason to doubt you." Ari said in an even voice, giving Yui one of her rare genuine smiles. "...Yeah yeah, I'm mean. But you're one of us, whatever the barcode means. I actually... wait right here."

Ari walked back up the stairs to her own room where she dug through some of her old clothes and found what she was thinking of. It was from one of her really old stage outfits - a simply neck collar made of cloth with a buckle in the front. It didn't really match the clothes Yui herself picked out from whoever once lived here, but it was better than nothing. Ari presented it to her with a small grin. "...Y'know. To hide the barcode, if it makes you feel weird. Though if you don't like it, that's cool too."

Ari then sat herself on a chair, elbows on the table with her face resting in her hands. She was in strategy mode now.

"So, you were probably once with Shoku, albeit whether you were willing or not is still unknown." The idol was connecting dots in her mind and bringing them out as best as she could. "We still haven't determined how long you were in the sea, so I can't really make a guess as for where exactly you came from. If you had the mark, though, it makes sense Shoku would want to make use of you." She closed her eyes, thinking. "...I'm going to have the doctor look you over again in case there's any tracking bugs on you, Yui. Just a safety precaution. Ari also locked eyes with Damian. He activated his telepathy and Ari sent him a message to search for any incidents in big cities near oceans that might've happened within the last few weeks or months, as well as study the water currents and wave patterns of waters in each of those areas. She then locked eyes with the mermaid girl.

"Here's your first mission, Yui." Ari took on a more severe, commanding tone. "Eat more and build up strength. Train against me or Xavier whenever you can. Most importantly, tell us if you ever remember anything. Can you do that for me?"

Morning broke. Aria woke up, still feeling tired but slightly refreshed. Usually she was an early waker - first to rise, first to kill, and all that. She fell asleep pretty late last night, though - thoughts rumbling endlessly in her mind. Yui really was pretty adorable - the way her face seemed to light up when Aria brought up the idea of her having a possible sibling out there in the world. Hopefully Aria could be a better mentor to her and show her the ropes. The ex-idol still felt uneasy that Yui's first real mission was going to be something as big as liberating a camp, but perhaps it'd be a good way to show her the stakes.

Aria opened her eyes, watching the light shine into the room. Honestly, it was pretty as little dust flakes floated in the beam of light. It was almost surreal. Then Aria noticed that there was a severe lack of musical posters and books and stage costumes. Aria threw herself out of the bed, scrutinizing, then with a slap to the face, realized that she wandered into someone else's room yet again. It was almost like she was still a dependent child or something. Aria grumbled to herself as she-

The door opened, revealing Yui, fresh from her shower. Then the towel dropped - clearly the younger girl had forgotten Aria was there. It wasn't as if Aria was particularly new to naked bodies - she's done her own fun over the years, after all. Seeing Yui naked didn't actually phase her all that much - in fact, it was more of a sad thing than anything else. Yui was painfully tiny. Wherever she was being held, it was obvious she was malnourished and possibly even mistreated. The idol's eyes eyed Yui and she saw the subtle but tell-tale signs of surgery, as if Yui had scars throughout her body. With more meat on her bones, maybe she could've been really pretty.

Aria simply gave Yui a slight frown and respectfully turned her head the other way. "While there are some guys who'd gladly have their fun with you, you're prohibited from doing anything of the sort. Leave information gathering to us, Yui." Her tone was light and teasing, but also foreboding at the same time. "Or were you fishing for a compliment? You're pretty. There, happy now?" She winked and stuck her tongue out. "You should probably get dressed."

On the way to her own room to gather stuff for a shower, she was interrupted with Damian. He looked as he usually did - as if her outburst last night didn't even really bother him anymore. Aria gave him a faint stare.

"We should let Yui help think up a plan." Damian said quietly. "She'd feel more like one of us if she could contribute."

Aria shrugged her shoulders. Honestly, she already knew what she wanted to do. "I'm actually gonna go hunt down Foxhound. He and I need a chat."

Damian's eyes narrowed, but seeing the girl the way she was, her mind was already made up. The man sighed and turned to go and make breakfast for the three of them, heading to Yui's room to knock. Aria huffed and went back to her room - towel and clothes ready for the day.

"Don't do anything reckless or dangerous. If you're in the field, without Xavier we're extra vulnerable. Just keep that in mind."

Aria didn't respond. She already knew that they needed more information, and she knew where to get it from. According to her calculations, Foxhound was probably seeing up plans in motion in order to go into hiding to avoid a conflict with her. She'd already cleared away many of his political enemies after all, so he's gained a lot of influence in the Shibuya District of New Tokyo. Chances are he'd be making his hide out somewhere around there. Aria had been used, and she fully planned to receive her payment in full. The girl rapidly changed and dried herself and dashed out to start her hunt after grabbing an old sandwich from the fridge, completely ignoring the yummy food Damian was in the process of making. She didn't have time. She had to get to him as quickly as possible before he disappeared.

Yui jumped and yelped, grabbing her towel to cover her body. Aria didn't seem disturbed by it though, in fact, her expression was almost amused. Yui shook her head, "No I-! I forgot you were here," she looked at her feet, her cheeks turning bright pink in embarrassment. "Th-thank you though." When Aria left, Yui sank down to the floor against the wall, breathing a sigh of relief. She could hear Damian outside and wondered if he could hear her thoughts. Yui quickly got dressed, pulling on the wardrobe piece Aria had given her and opening the door. Aria seemed to rush outside, leaving Damian and Yui in the house. Yui bound down the staircase, her footsteps like the patter of rabbit feet as she entered the kitchen where Damian was filling up the house with yummy smells. "I made something lighter this morning, hopefully you'll be able to keep it down this time." He winked, placing a plate in front of her.

Yui's expression quickly turned into a smile as he placed some sort of delicious looking mini cakes in front of her that were doused in syrup and covered in cream. "These are pancakes, dig in while they're hot." The cream was melting; Yui didn't need any more prompting. Her stomach growled and she cut into one, the flavors dancing on her tongue. "These are really yummy!" Yui remembered to slow down, no need to make herself sick again. "Yui, I have a job for you. Luckily, Xavier isn't here so I'm in charge." He winked, "I need you to follow Ari." Yui nearly choked on her water. "Ari isn't exactly known for covertness. I need you to make sure she won't do anything stupid."

"B-but Xavier said that-"

"I know what Xavier said, but the only way for someone to gain experience is in the field." Damian strapped a watch onto Yui's wrist. "All of us have ID chips in our wrists. The Doctor didn't put yours in because he didn't want to do anything too intrusive while you were out so he wanted to wait until you woke up." Damian turned his wrist over so that Yui could see the small incision. "All citizens are required to have one, they inject it in when you're born." He gave Yui a few more things she may need including a hat and scarf to cover her face and hair. Yui tucked her hair into the hat and pulled her jacket on, stepping outside. She followed the directions on the little advice Damian had given her and navigated her way to Aria's location.

Aria, or as she was better known as by others in the underworld, Nemesis, was a rather famous figure. She was a relentless hunter who always caught her targets. It was rumored that if she wanted your head, she'd take it with ease, and would stop at nothing to take you out. She was almost a perfect assassin if it wasn't for the trails of blood and corpses she tended to leave behind on her rampages. As such, she often went and killed for extra money to fund the Freedom Fighters. For a long time, Aria thought this was all secretive - she wanted to keep it that way. She was the one most willing to kill whoever necessary - Damian couldn't even kill with his powers, and Xavier was the heroic type who only killed the worst people. And Yui... there were still a lot of strange things about her. Aria had a feeling she might've been used as a weapon at some point, but couldn't be sure. Either way, she didn't want the girl to be a killer after losing her memories. But there had to be someone with no limits, willing to to the bad things, if they wanted to win.

The streets of New Tokyo were still filled with people - shuffling off to work or simply hanging out. To most people, they'd mistake it to be life as usual. But someone more observant would see how most people seemed to keep to themselves and avoid looking at anyone else. And of course, everyone's eyes had that sunken, hollow look that showed that they'd all resigned to their fates. There was no fight left in them. It was miserable - these people had given up hope of anything different.

Aria stepped stealthily into an alley, checking herself over before turning herself invisible - all but the eyes were covered in illusions. She also used air to allow herself to hover above the crowds of people. She couldn't allow herself to be tracked, after all. She ducked down into the subway station entrance- she was back in her element. Here is where the nest of criminals tended to hide, tucked into the ducts, alleys, and corners of the elaborate underground complex. Foxhound's main lackey, Charles Remington, conducted his small business of drugs and other elicit materials around there.

Aria loved being in the Shibuya Subways. It was a place most officers were unwilling to go, and she was safe there, as there was an unwritten rule to not rat out anyone else if you wanted to die a peaceful death. She felt more than comfortable here, as Nemesis. Of course, most people tended to dislike Nemesis - she's left behind too much blood to not be noticed by criminal syndicates who consider her a threat. Once Aria found the rat-like man, she dispelled her illusions, appearing in one of her stage outfits as the Little Sinner. A twisted grin was on her face as she sent cold glares at the two syndicate guards - they fled immediately, leaving Aria alone with Remington.

"N-N-Nemesis." Charles was positively shaking. "I- c'mon, we're both friends of Foxhound. Ju-just let me go? Y-you know I'm not a threat!"

He really was a coward.

"I know for a fact Foxhound went into hiding." Aria grabbed at the thin man's collar, lifting him into the air where he was powerless. He struggled and protested but nothing would save him. "Mind telling a girl where to find him? I've got business to discuss."

Charles was truly pathetic. His eyes went buggy as he struggled to breathe. "B-but how did you-"

So Foxhound already made his move, then? That was all Aria needed to know. She knew where he was, and he'd regret trying to cross her. Hopefully getting rid of him would also bring about a connection to her father somehow. Foxhound was just a stepping stone to draw him out so she could figure out exactly why Mizuki's possible location was leaked. Something was definitely strange.

"So... will you let me go now?"

"Yeah." Aria smirked - a wicked glint in her eyes. "Dead men tell no tales. I don't need him to know I'm on my way, y'know."

There was a loud snapping sound and Charles collapsed into a limp heap, neck crooked. As deaths went, it was quick and painless, but Aria didn't have the time to do anything fancy. She was on the hunt, after all. Aria didn't calculate for a sharp footstep to ring out that stunned her in her tracks. Why oh why did Damian send Yui after her?

"What are you doing here?" Aria asked, her voice low and anxious. "You aren't supposed to be out of the house. What if-" The ex-idol stared at the corpse that had literally died just moments ago. "....He's one of the enemy, Yui. I didn't have a choice."

It wasn't ideal, but there was no other option for the time being. Aria held out her hand and spoke in a calming voice, not wanting her to panic. "Listen, we should get going. You're already here, and it might be dangerous for you to go back alone. We'll be flying, but there's really no time."

Obviously, Yui was not a trained spy. She was not a hunter, or a killer, she was a dog, one that was taught to sit, stay, to obey unflinchingly; even if she couldn't remember any of it. So when Yui saw Aria down there, easily breezing past armed guards and into a room where she quickly snapped the neck of someone belonging to the wretched hive of scum and villainy, it scared her. Yui stepped back, a bit louder than she had meant to. Aria saw her, her expression changing from one of perhaps greed to horror. She reached out to Yui, saying that she wasn't supposed to be out of the house, that this man had deserved it. "But Ari, that's not for us to decide." Yui's was voice was small, like a whimper. She took another step back.

"Damian sent me he said-he said he wanted me to make sure that y-you wouldn't do something bad." Perhaps those weren't his exact words, but Yui's anxiousness was making her fall apart. Sure, Ari was sometimes mean or snappy, but she wasn't bad. She had never seemed bad. Yui shook her head, flinching. She ran in the opposite direction, making it up the stairs before collapsing. She was breathless, feeling as though her chest was restricted. In truth, Yui was still weak. "Are you alright?" A voice on her left came. Yui peeked up through her hood, her heart stopping. It was an Enforcer.

"Y-yes, I'm fine. Just late," she hurried off, this time carefully following the pedestrian speed limit until she was out of sight. Then Yui took off again with no direction in mind. Her feet seemed to know where to go though, they carried her until she reached a patch of ice and slipped, hitting her head on the concrete. Blood dripped down her forehead onto the sidewalk. The sight of it made Yui catch her breath. She ran the rest of the way to the beach, sand filling her boots, the smell of salt having a soothing affect. It wasn't until she sat down on a rock that the flashback hit her.

"Don't let go of my hand!"

"Ronan!"

"It's alright, I'll get us out of this. Just stay there!" Ronan was pulled into another room. The Enforcer pulled his gun from his vest, shooting the two adults in the room. "Mom! Dad!" The child tried to push out of his grip, tried to run towards the parents whose blood she was wearing. "Don't leave me, don't let them take me," the girl sobbed, finally breaking free and kneeling beside her parent's bodies. The routine health checkup had turned into a slaughter, the doctor that her parent's normally paid off had been sick and so she and her brother had been taken to see the other physicians. The mark though, it had caused some sort of suspicion. Someone had been called, her parents shot.

His presence was like a shadow, squeezing the life out of everything else. Ira Shoku placed his hand on the little girl's shoulder. "Such an untimely end." He shook his head as though it were a pity, his expression as though he were speaking about the weather. "Don't worry, I'll take much better care of you then they ever did."

"No," Yui rocked back and forth, falling off of the rock she was sitting on and curling up in the sand.

Aria shook her head, growling slightly as she flew above the city streets, once again invisible. It was bitterly cold - too much for even Aria, if she wanted to be honest. The winds bit at her and the snow burned into the skin on her face, as if warning her away. Still, she couldn't stop. She wouldn't let herself stop.

I already know I'm a villain. Just give into the rage and no one can stop me.

Yui was irritating. Who was she, some amnesiac girl, to judge her for doing the dirty work that had to be done? Sure, while Charles hasn't done anything particularly bad and always seemed afraid of everyone in the Hive, he was still one of Foxhound's allies. That meant he was a fair target to kill. If they didn't resort to playing dirty, the Freedom Fighters would never stand a chance. If in the end they lost because they were too scared to do what was necessary, Aria would never forgive herself. She had a duty to cleanse the city of the scum and make it safe for innocents again. Nothing would stop her in her path.

That was when Aria noticed the weird lights flashing. Aria had no idea what it was - maybe strange new technology being developed? But it was in an alley... something smelled wrong, and Aria was determined to figure it out. She landed and found a young boy - wearing scraggly clothes that seemed as if he were a runaway. The street lights were all colored strangely - one neon green, another a deep purple, when usually they were platinum shining a yellow-ish glow. The whole thing was peculiar.

What did matter was that the little boy was shivering and his skin was blueish - he was freezing to death in the cold. Possibly worse was that the oddities would definitely be enough to attract Enforcers, and Aria couldn't risk getting caught. That was when a gust of wind blew the boy's tattered sweatshirt up, revealing one could only be a mark in the shape of some sort of gemstone that Aria figured was a bloodstone. She had a split second to make up her mind, and grabbed the boy's wrist, rendering him invisible.

The boy made chattering noises as Aria flew the both of them back into the air, away from the Enforcers that had flooded the area. He looked to be about nine or ten and was probably on the run for a about a day, it seemed. Still, if you had a mark, it usually meant you were an ally, even if it was an alliance out of necessity. Marks were being hunted down, after all, so it only made sense to band together.

"I'll get you to safety, but there's something I gotta do first." Maybe if Yui hadn't run away in fear, Ari could've assigned
her to bringing the kid back to the base. That wasn't an option, though - if she didn't hurry, Foxhound was going to be untouchable. Without hunting him down, she'd have to rely on Damian to figure out the authenticity of the info. Perhaps it was conceitedness on Aria's part, but she wanted to be the main force in motion to rescuing Mizuki.

That was when the kid bit her and wrestled free. Letting a mark die like this was not on Aria's agenda, so she swooped down to grab him again and landed on the roof of a skyscraper overlooking the city. It was once the Tokyo Tower before it was re-purposed for reasons Shoku still hasn't revealed to the public as of yet. They were in the Roppongi District, farther west than Shibuya. Aria confirmed that they weren't watched and dispelled the illusions.

"Are you stupid, kid?" Aria snapped. "I was trying to help you! The Enforcers were gonna be breathing down your ass and you'd be killed!"

The kid just sniffled and hugged his knees.

"Mommy told me to leave when she saw the mark." The kid whimpered. "Said Shoku was gonna kill her if I stayed. So I left." He looked as if he was about to cry. It wasn't as if Aria didn't understand what it was like to have your whole life turned upside down. Aria ran away from home too, when her mark appeared. "...I want mommy to be okay."

"What's your power, anyways?"

The kid touched the steel surface of the tower. All of a sudden the whole tower turned a dark deep red the color of blood. That was when Aria understood and was immediately disappointed. She didn't show it though - but that power was almost entirely useless.

"Anyways, we don't have time. Look, I'm the same as you. Aria made another finger gun and created a blast of wind to demonstrate. "There's a place where you can be safe. I'm on a mission right now to help fix the world, but when I'm done..."

Before authorities could come and investigate the sudden color change, Aria and the kid (Harris) made their escape by flight yet again. According to Aria's calculations, there was one specific highway that lead out of New Tokyo from here that was close to Foxhound's secondary base. The highway was the main pathway that brought you to Sterling City, the second largest population center in Japan. If Aria knew Foxhound, that was where he was headed. And unlike the underground of New Tokyo, Sterling City was a completely foreign environment.

That was when Aria found a car with tinted glass. Leaving the kid safely to the sidelines, Aria flew into the air and fired clusters of compressed air at the car, eventually knocking it over, burning up in a blaze that quickly withered against the snow. Things were straightforward, Aria thought in bewilderment. Wasn't this supposed to be a lot more complicated? Aria flew into the wreckage when someone grabbed her arm. Before she could react she heard her left arm crack and Aria crumpled in numb shock. Foxhound had somehow -

"You can't really expect it to be this easy, do you?" His hand burned with.... flame... with a wicked expression. Was Foxhound just recently marked? During their many private sessions Aria never once noticed anything of the sort. "Nemesis, you're too arrogant. Just give it up."

Aria twisted her body, hearing another crack, but she ignored it for the time being. Flames burned through the air but Aria blasted them away with her wind, glaring down who she once thought was her ally. Fire and wind rushed against each other as the two tackled through the snow. Though, Aria was at a disadvantage due to her broken arm, she had the ferocity to match. She pummeled Foxhound as he claws and burned at her. For once, the ex-idol felt as if she found her match - that was until her other arm was held in a vice grip behind her and she was forced into a kneeling position. Foxhound had bested her.

"So? Finish me off then. That's what you want, right?"

To Aria's surprise, Foxhound shook his head.

"Nah, you're far too useful to just kill. You're the most bloodthirsty of the Freedom Fighters; the most corruptible." Foxhound seemed incredibly pleased at saying the words, but it only gave Aria more of a chill. "You know about the Hive, right?"

Aria was well acquaintance with the HIVE. They controlled the underground of New Tokyo and were a major faction that held influence in the criminal world. They were like a crime syndicate. Although in an open fight, the HIVE couldn't stand against Shoku, they did have their seeds of corruption and bribes and blackmail throughout the ranks the weakened Shoku's iron fist.

"You killed a lot of people above me, Aria." Foxhound said in a sly voice, still holding Aria's arm tightly in his hands. "Because of you, I'm going to get promoted pretty high up. I should thank you, you naive little girl." He laughed and it only made Aria want to puke.

"You're always welcome a position within the HIVE." Foxhound was cheery and delightful. "We could use someone with your skills. All we require is that you betray your friends. They definitely wouldn't fit in with our work. We don't have to be enemies. We don't like Shoku being in control either, you know. Consider it, will you?"

Then the suited man with pyrokinetic powers dropped one looked like a photo down into Aria's lap. She stared at it - it was blurry and at a distance, but she could recognize Mizuki anywhere. It's been years since she even had a glimpse of her. She looked even thinner than usual - and absolutely miserable. A few tears threatened to form but Aria blinked them away. Foxhound seemed almost disappointed.

"Y'know, you're going to have to decide what you really are." He said idly. "You can't be both a hunter and a little girl. You'll have to choose which side to stick with, or else you'll never get stronger."

Aria shot him a grim smile, betraying her true intentions to only one person. Perhaps the only person who wouldn't stop her. "I don't plan on surviving very long, Fox." Aria laughed humorlessly, eyes trained on the photo. "I've done too many bad things already. The only way I can repay them is if I die. So, Fox, the two of us will never really be allies. I'm not like you."

"As a reward for your hard work, the info's good. Your sister's there. You'll just have to trust me on this."

With that, Foxhound disappeared. That was when sheheard the sounds. Enforcers were on the way to investigate. Aria knew that if there wasn't anyone here, they'd eventually trace it to her somehow. Then the ex-idol remembered that kid who was still hiding. She could abandon him here as a scapegoat. The enforcers would be satisfied, and Aria herself would be off the hook for the time being. Harris would almost definitely be questioned and publicly executed... And so, Ari abandoned the boy to his fate, taking Mizuki's picture with her as the dull painful throbbing began in her left arm. It really was broken, but she didn't want to rely on Doc' to get it fixed. She was supposed to be self sufficient, wasn't she?

"It's fine." Aria whispered to herself as she flew. "You'll make up for your crimes once it's all over..."

The singer didn't feel like returning home though, even with her half burnt clothes and her new injuries. It wasn't safe to still be in the city either, though. Finally, she decided on aimlessly heading to the beach. She'd find relative peace there, after all. Aria held her broken arm gingerly in her right and flew to the rolling waves and the mermaid curled up in the sand. Yui, what the heck was she up to? Aria felt anxious and nervous about her - was Yui still afraid of her? Her first instinct was to drag the girl back to the base, but considering what she'd seen...

"We should probably head back." Aria murmured, surprised at how timid her voice was. "Yui? Are you-"

The rocking, the curling. What was happening, exactly? Something was clearly wrong, so the huntress tried to scoop the girl up in her arms- much lighter than she thought she'd be - but due to only really having one working arm, Yui fell from her grasp back into the sand. Bringing her back to base wasn't an option, so instead Aria knelt down and patted Yui on the head as gently as she could.

"Hey, it's going to be okay. Just breathe. Focus. Tell me what you see."

"You useless brat, I should have killed you when I had the chance," Ira Shoku was speaking, his words harsh like sand paper in her ears. The world was swimming, a disjointed memory forcing itself before her eyes, blocking away everything else.

Yui was numb. Her lips were purple, her eyes wide and unseeing, as though she had gone blind. There was blood dripping from the wound into her mouth, but Yui couldn't taste it. He wasn't talking to her though, no, Shoku was threatening someone else. The boy with the white hair.

"For everything you do wrong," his tone was even, reasonable, almost pleasant if you didn't know who this man was. "I'm going to punish your sister." Ronan was crying, he had failed again, unable to bring himself to hurt another. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Ronan bawled, watching in horror as the child was forcefully lifted to her feet, a hallucinogenic injected into her veins. The child screamed, writhing in pain and fear. Ronan cried, begging for them to stop hurting her, saying that he wouldn't fail again. It only lasted five minutes and when it was over, the child was both physically and mentally exhausted. One could only watch their parents die so many times. Ronan held her, cradling her in his arms, whispering his apologies. He would become stronger, he promised, he would protect her.

"Liar."

Her eyes closed halfway, her body going limp. She leaned against Aria, her head in the older girl's lap as the grey haired woman spoke to her through the fog. "They're dead," she whispered. Her head hurt, her skin was flecked with sand, salt water, and blood. It stung her cuts, infiltrated the watch on her wrist which made it short out. Just like that the memory was gone, her brain shielding the pain so as not to cause a second breakdown. There were only so many things one could handle within the course of two hours. As the fog lifted, slowly, Yui returned. Someone ran down to them, sliding into the sand beside them. It was Damian.

"What happened?" He asked, looking between the two girls. "Ari-your arm," his expression was one of worry. What was she doing? How had she gotten that wound? "Did the Fox do that to you?" Damian's hands balled into fists, his nails cutting into his palms. The sound of static filled Yui's head, making her cringe. "Oh, sorry," he whispered, unintentionally sending signals into their heads. "The Doctor is waiting for us back at home, come on." Damian lifted Yui easily, offering a hand up for Ari.

How had he known they were there? It was simple, the watch. The ID chips kept track of all registered citizens. In order to live in the city, in New Tokyo at all, you had to be a registered citizen, otherwise you could get in serious trouble. Damian had tapped into the civil system's tracers, monitoring both girl's actions until the doctor had shown up. When he returned to check the positions, something had happened and the watch had sent out an emergency warning to his computer, sending out an erratic alert before shorting, leading Damian to believe the worst.

Back at home, the Doctor fixed Yui up quickly. He was going to take care of Aria before searching for any trackers since Aria's arm needed to be set before serious damage could occur.

Damian was frustrating. While she knew he was tracking them using the ID Chips, and the singer was completely fine with it, the fact that he was worried over her was a bother. Sure, a broken arm hurts like shit and is a hassle, but she was more concerned at what looked to be a complete mental breakdown. Apparently someone was dead? Aria glared at Damian for his worry over her arm and to mentally tell him to try to use his skills to find out more about Yui's past. There had to be information somewhere, and unfortunately, this sort of thing was something Aria wasn't going to be helpful with. She somehow doubted any HIVE members would know about Yui at all - at least, if they did, there aren't any leads to determine who it is.

There was something about Yui - about how she was trembling but went limp and rested her head on Aria's lap that made the ex-idol want to hold her protectively and not let anyone else in. It was the kind of feeling she felt about Mizuki, which only added even more complicated emotions to the surface. Pathetic - the huntress couldn't even protect herself, yet she wanted to keep her friends safe? It was terrible all around.

"That's not important." Aria said, taking out the picture of Mizuki in the work camp and handing it over to Damian who immediately sealed it in a bag. "That's my sister. Can you do your tech magic to see if it the location correlates with the map you got?"

Damian nodded but narrowed his eyes at the arm as he took Yui in his arms. He held a hand out for Ari who refused it, putting up her usual brave and unflappable front. Even if it was useless to act tough, she still had to at least be strong. Something like a broken arm wasn't allowed to stop her. The idol didn't miss the significance behind Damian's intense signals that he unintentionally transmitted. It seemed even the most patient of members had a limit.

Aria and the Doc' were probably worst enemies. Every time she had an issue that had to be dealt with, she'd always struggle and fight. Ever since that one forced surgery, she'd always hated the idea of having any kind of medical help. It was terrible and the worst was that Yui and Damian were forced to listen the endless threats of brutal bloody murder and threads and screams as the cast was finally forced onto the idol.

As Damian ran off to get working, Aria was sitting on a chair with a foul expression as the Doc' started his work on checking Yui over for trackers. She was already in a bad mood for losing to Foxhound with almost nothing to say for it, but worrying over if the mermaid was uncomfortable at the poking and prodding just bugged her even more.

"Oy, go easy on her." Ari grumbled angrily. "She had a mental breakdown so don't make her freak out or I'll crush your skull."

The Doctor rolled his eyes as he worked. He was used to this sort of verbal abuse from the girl - it happened every time she even needed a few pills to lower a fever. He said something under his breath that only annoyed the strategist even more.

Ari then turned directly to the mermaid with a sour tone.

"You're forbidden from leaving the house without supervision." The idol had a stiffened posture as she spoke, almost as if she were tense. "If this is the price of returning your memories, then screw it. It's not worth it. Most important for now is to build up your strength so you're ready for the operation in a few days."

Sometimes the idol wondered if it was possible for her to speak softly to anyone anymore. It probably didn't really matter either way.

Was that what happened? Had that really been a memory? Yui couldn't remember. She could recall going down the steps to the subway and then waking up on the beach. The two hours in between were missing and how she had gotten from one place to the other was a mystery. Yui closed her eyes, feeling like a fog had wrapped itself around her. The Doctor was using some sort of device to check for a tracking chip. It hummed softly, the vibrations soothing against her skin. When Yui opened up her eyes, the fog had begun to clear and finally, her head felt light enough to hold up. Aria forbid her from leaving the house, at least without supervision. "Alright," it wasn't as though Yui had gone out today by choice, Damian had said that it was her first mission, that it was important. Had she failed it? The one task that she had been given and all Yui could remember was that she was supposed to stop Aria.

Ari was here though, which didn't make sense. How had she returned home? When had she returned home? "What happened to your arm?" Yui asked as the Doctor finished up. He stood and shook his head, clearly pleased. "Good news, there are no trackers." He packed up his bag, shooting them one last look. "The trauma you seem to have experienced cut off your brains access to your long term memory. Give it a while, it may come back, otherwise, I have some other skills that could prompt them to return."

Such a scary face, Yui thought with a shiver. She would hate to be the specimen under his microscope."Otherwise, you're beginning to look better. As much as I hate to admit it, you're doing a good job Ari. Keep up the good work and maybe one day, you'll be a doctor like me." He winked, knowing that would probably never happen and exiting out the door. Damian returned with three sandwiches, placing two of them down. "I didn't find anything about Mizuki yet, but I'm not going to give up." Damian was hopeful despite what at the moment looked like a lost cause.

"I do, however, have information on someone else." He clasped his hands together. "Before you brain locked everything back up, I managed to get in for a split second."The lights were on low, Yui letting out a breath as he spoke. "Owned by Ira Shoku, forced to watch her parents die. That's all I could squeeze out."

Aria stuck her tongue out at the Doctor as he left the room with a wink and a quip. While it was good that there were no trackers on Yui's body, she did heavily dislike the idea of him using his.... methods... to draw out more memories. If one flashback made her curl up like she had on the beach, the ex-idol was almost certain it'd be better for Yui to remain oblivious and unaware of her past. If it's that painful, was it really necessary? Even if there was valuable information... a healthy and willing ally was more useful than anything else. "Don't get any ideas, Doc'." Aria hissed behind his back, then turned to hear Damian re-enter the room, with two bushels of information.

After one of Damian's data mines, there was apparently no new information on Mizuki's status. Aria was disappointed, but she was used to feeling like that, so the singer simply shrugged it off. Her sister was her very top priority, but Ari understood that saving Mizuki was a later step to take in the war. They simply didn't know enough yet. If Foxhound was hoping she'd take the bait and rush into battle like an idiot, he'd be sorely disappointed. Aria swiped up one of the sandwiches, munching it down as the Second-in-command revealed his news about Yui's flashback - or what he could gather from it. Honestly, the ex-idol wasn't all that surprised from this news, either. She already determined earlier that she was once with Shoku - and it seemed just like him to enjoy tearing families apart.

"Good work, Damian." Aria said, nodding to him. Although not good for combat, his telekinetic abilities were ridiculously useful. Basically, Damian was just useful at everything. He was friendly, he was the team cook, the hacker, and the one to coordinate everyone during field missions. He even seemed somewhat motherly at times, though the ex-idol really would never tell him that. Ari then forced a smile to try to alleviate the situation. "He doesn't own you anymore, Yui. You're one of us now." Flexing her good arm, the idol made a confident smile hoping to better Yui's mood ."He'll have to kill us if he wants you ba-" Then she shook her head, knowing that was the wrong thing to say. "We'll kill him if he even tries to take you back! You're safe with us, no matter what."

Damian had a friendly grin on his face, giving a supportive nod.

"Once we fix your bracelet, I'll always have an eye on you." Damian's voice was smooth and calm. "Nothing really outspeeds Aria here, even if someone were to try anything."

In terms of Foxhound, he was most likely not as big of a threat now that was was in Sterling City. Most likely he'd be focused on expanding his influence in Sterling, which was a zone that Aria couldn't waste resources in caring about just yet. She had to fight the war in New Tokyo first. But sooner or later, she'd go after the HIVE one day, and wipe them off the map.

"Damian. Sorry to add more work on your shoulders..."

He nodded, clearly understanding. If there was a way to draw the HIVE out into open combat against Shoku, it'd give the Freedom Fighters the upper hand as they could pick and choose their fights and where to gain the advantage, though this was surely a long-term plan that'd take months or more to come to fruition.

Yui was very happy when her sword turned back into a sword. She was ready to try again when Aria started taunting her, sending a blast of air that Yui that popped her drum. Blood trickled from the wound, Yui's eyes were wide. Aria was throwing insult after insult, pushing Yui back further and further back to the edge of the roof. "Ari-" Yui's foot slipped, she nearly lost her balance and went tumbling over. "Aria-what are you-why are being so mean?" Yui didn't understand the older girl's sudden change in personality. Was she bipolar?

Aria stopped, from where she was, a mere gust of wind would blow Yui off and send the female to her death. Yui changed positions, it was clear that something in her snapped into place, something feral and deadly. Her stance changed, the sword in her hands becoming an extension of her own body. She stepped forward, swift and deadly, poised to strike. Yui pushed past oncoming attacks, using her sword to physically cut the wind. Suddenly the blood dismantled, slithering across the room and forming a cage of spikes in order to trap Aria.

It stood for a full five seconds before Yui blinked and the entire thing dissolved, sizzling on the ground around Aria. Yui looked at her hand, there was a buzzing sound in the eardrum that Aria had popped, she couldn't hear anything else. Her head felt light, her legs shook, caving and making Yui fall to the ground. She had pushed it today, using so much blood. Yui commanded it back, watching as the fluid went back into her body. The wound hissed as though the blood was burning hot. It didn't hurt Yui though, she felt much better with all of her blood back in place. "I didn't hurt you did I?" Yui asked, concerned. She got to her feet, going to make sure that Aria was okay.

Aria's grin grew wider as Yui took a defensive stance. Her pleading and questioning had gone and all that was left was someone who clearly knew how to fight. A blast of wind and and pounce - the wind was severed by the blood sword and Yui seemed to avoid the physical attack. Things were really getting fun now, so the singer used her good arm to send more blasts of compressed air at Yui while regaining her balance when the sword suddenly split and formed a cage of spikes. Aria wasn't exactly caught off guard but her first instinct was to blow the spikes away rather than propel herself to safety. With only one arm to power her wind though, it wasn't enough and the spikes clamped into her, piercing through her back and out of her stomach before dissipating and melting into the ground. First was shock, then was a burst of pain and Aria collapsed to her knees releasing a yelp.

Yui ran over, looking worried, hands running over the wound. "I didn't hurt you, did I?" She asked, sounding almost afraid. The whole situation wanted to make Aria laugh despite the pain. It wasn't as bad - one fight Aria was so badly thrashed that even the Doc was terrified and thought it was hopeless. She was no stranger to injuries, and even though it went all the way through, she wasn't particularly worried about it. With a pleased grimace, Aria ruffled Yui's hair affectionately. "It's good you did hurt me!" She joked, wincing. "Glad to see you can fight when things get serious. Don't worry about me, I'll just... slap a bandage on it or something."

The singer felt a rush of dizziness in her head as she stood up. The corners of her vision spun as she realized she was bleeding far worse than she thought she was. It was gushing out in spurts and soon she wouldn't have the energy to keep up the illusion that surrounded the roof of the building. With Yui's help, Ari pushed herself back inside, where Yui called for Damian or the Doc' for some kind of help. Damian was the first to respond... and an intense crackle of static hit both girls as the man saw the sight.

"What the hell were you thinking, Aria? You can't fight in your condition and - how stupid are you?"

Aria grinned, trying to hold the blood in with her air but failing. Strength was sapping from her limbs and the tips of her fingers tingled numbly. "It's all good." The idol flashed her most dazzling smile. "Yui's tough when she has to be. Ain't.... got nothing to..."

Darkness overtook her and Aria fainted on the spot, feeling happy that Yui was strong enough to beat her, even if she wasn't in peak condition.

After what felt like an eternal dreamless sleep, the ex-idol's eyes fluttered before finally opening once again. She sensed something in her good arm, as well as being faintly aware of feeling fit to burst. There were definitely stitches involved, and the idea made her want to scream. She stayed put, however - unnecessary movement was a dangerous prospect. She also acutely knew that she was pumped flush with painkillers to the point that her head felt like a strange extension of her body that wasn't entirely there. She shook her head and opened her eyes to find it was already late at night. Just like that, the whole day vanished.

"...Who said I needed your help, anyways?" Aria mumbled sourly as the Doctor went back to check on her. Instead of fighting back and retorting with an insult of his own, he just turned and left in a huff. What was that all about? Wasn't it supposed to be a good thing that she could - whatever, it wasn't worth thinking about. How did the Doc' even get the blood needed to replace all that she lost? The singer was also worried about if any of her blood was still on the roof - if it hadn't been cleaned yet, it might draw Enforcers to come investigate. That was when Aria became aware that Yui was sitting diligently next to her, eyed heavy with sleepiness. With a little smile and a warm feeling, the grey haired girl reached over and nuzzled the mermaid's cheek, in both affection and attention-getting.

"Knowing you, you're probably... apologetic and stuff, aren't you?" Aria had a teasing smile on her face, feeling tired and sleepy herself. "Don't be. It's good that you beat me. With Xavier dealing with family, and my broken arm, we need someone strong. I'll be honest; I was testing myself to see how strong I was with only one arm. Now that I know I'm much weaker than usual, I'm happy that I have someone strong like you to cover my back when we go on the field." Aria stared at the heavy amount of bandages covering her torso and grimaced. "I mean, after I'm recovered from this. Trust me, you did good. This is exactly the situation I wanted from our little practice fight."

Aria's expression turned serious and she thought back to the fight to evaluate Yui's performance. Sure, she was lackluster at first, but when the danger became real, Yui was more than able to fight back. The blood manipulation ability was incredibly versatile in application in a fight, and Aria wondered what else could be done with it, in terms of support or utility. Could she make shields to protect teammates? Could she use blood to bind opponents? And the most obvious drawback of the power was that it seemed to use her own blood. It'd be much stronger if the mermaid learned how to control the blood inside of others, too. If she learned that, Aria knew the mermaid would surpass even her. That was certainly a humbling thought.

"In terms of fighting, you did very good." Aria said cheerfully. "From what I've seen from other branches of the Freedom Fighters, you'd probably rank in the top ten at your current strength. That's not to say you should feel satisfied though." Her gaze turned critical, looking over the flaws. "If someone you trusted decided to attack you, and kept their true intentions secret, it'd be easy for them to take you out before you can 'get serious' persay. You also really need to learn how to control blood inside of others - because the drawbacks of losing too much blood makes you an easy target after unleashing a powerful attack. You're kind of like a glass cannon - you can destroy a lot, but you shatter really easily after firing your shot. Does that make sense?" Aria then plopped herself back down, fully resting again. "For now focus on building your body back up and gain some muscle. Then, practice with your abilities to try and find ways to defend yourself beyond just attacking. Lastly, lots of practice. With enough experience, you'll be able to focus more easily, so you won't have to worry about your powers not working in the middle of a fight."

With that all and said, the singer noticed how parched she was. She shrugged helplessly. "...I'm thirsty. Could I have some water?"

Yui was nearly asleep, thinking warm thoughts like hot chocolate and Damian's yummy food. Her lids were half closed, her head resting against her knees. She thought she heard noises and for a moment wondered of she should get up, but it wasn't until Aria began speaking that Yui's head snapped up. She was so happy that the singer was alright enough to snap at the Doctor in her usual, I don't need anyone's help, manner. Aria asked if she was sorry and Yui nodded her head. "Yes! I'm so sorry for hurting you, I didn't mean-I didn't want you to get hurt." Yui felt like crying in relief, she was worried about the wound and how much blood Aria had lost before Yui retrieved the doctor. Aria told her not to be sorry, saying that it was good she beat her. How was that good? Yui had nearly killed her! There was no time to express her opinion though as Aria said that Yui had only bested her due to the fact that she had only had the use of one hand.

She was testing herself? Yui wasn't sure if that was a lie or not. Aria was always saying things to cover up the good in her. To say that she had genuinely wanted to help someone was possible impossible for Aria to admit. She then mentioned wanting someone strong. Yui looked down at her hands, at the wound that refused to closed. She was... Strong? Her? Yui's lips turned up at the edges in a smile. She had never thought she could be strong, never thought she had the potential to become strong either. "I don't know if I can manipulate anyone else's blood," Yui shook her head. She didn't know if that was possible and she understood Aria's analogy of a glass cannon. Yui reached for the bandages, ripping off a strip and wrapping it around her hand so as not to get dirt in the cut. Aria looked as though she had been thrown into a blender and put on chop.

"I'll work harder, I'm going to become strong, like you." Yui was determined, but she didn't want to hurt Aria anymore. The brown haired girl nodded her head at the question and rose to her feet, "I'll go get you some." She stood, leaving the room and going to the kitchen where she rummaged around for a cup. Yui caught the end of the Doctor speaking to Damian, but with their tones so hushed, she could only hear something about concern and then a goodbye. When Damian entered, Yui rushed to make it look as though she were doing something and not simply listening in.

"Is Ari awake?" Damian asked and Yui nodded her head. "I'm bringing her water." Yui turned the water off and returned to the living room, handing Aria the glass. "Why don't you go up to bed Yui? I'd like to talk to Ari for a minutes alone." Yui glanced between the two, her cheeks flushing as a silly idea filled her mind. "Okay, goodnight!" The girl rushed away, bounding up the stairs and going to her room. She sat behind the closed door, her ear up to the wooden slab in order to listen in.

"Aria are you crazy! Someone could have been seriously injured! You could have died! Do you know how close you were?" It was rare that Damian lost his cool, but when someone got hurt, or did something so reckless, he couldn't help but yell. "You were so close," his tone dropped and he sank to his knees. It was clear that Damian had lost someone close before, but in what respect, Yui had no idea. "If I had lost you, If Xavier and I had lost you..." Damian trailed off.

"Please, just don't do anything so crazy ever again. At least, not without us there to stop you."

Aria eyed Damian in displeasure, only getting negative emotions as he poured his concern over her. These kinds of emotions were useless in the end. If she was going to have her own way, she'd leave everyone behind. That was the only way to repent for her crimes. Most likely any attempts of explaining this to them would fail, so there wasn't really a point in trying. They'd have to understand in the end, anyways.

"Are you done?"

Damian looked taken aback at her sudden sharp tone. The singer took a sip of the water given to her by the mermaid, giving the second-in-command a distinct frown. He opened his mouth to say something but was interrupted with surgical precision before he had a chance.

"This is a war, Damian." The ex-idol explained, a bitter smirk on her face. "There's no way without casualty. What, if I were to die, would you and Xavier just give up and surrender? That's ridiculous, and we both know it. No matter who dies, the fight has to continue."

Harsh static burned into Ari's head again but she refused to show that it bothered her. Damian seemed almost at a loss for words - or perhaps he knew his next attempt to talk would be interrupted again. Ari took another slow and deliberate sip of the water, enjoying how it made her throat feel moist and refreshed. If only Damian would get the message and stop being such a pain - he really was cool otherwise. She understood what loss was, obviously, but letting that get in the way of victory made no sense at all.

"We're like a family now, after years of working together." Damian's voice was low and sad. "I went into the war with the mindset that no one was going to be left behind. I - you know. I can't lose someone else again. I can't."

She shrugged her good shoulder with a faint nod. "I'm not saying I'd enjoy losing you guys either. But this is a fight to the death. You have to understand that." It was as if Aria and Damian were standing side by side, but facing different directions. Or to be more accurate, Aria was the only one looking separately from Xavier and Damian. Yui wasn't around long enough to really gauge her limits on "acceptable cost", but she most likely fit in closer with the men on this regard.

Damian obviously disagreed, shaking his head fervently. He stared deeply into Aria's own grey eyes, as if he was desperately trying to reach through to her. "There has to be a limit - a line that we don't cross!" He exclaimed, unintentionally louder. "If we do the same things that Shoku does, doesn't that make us the same as him? We - we have to keep our morals! Selling our humanity just for victory? That just can't be right!"

The ex-idol flashed a bright grin in response to his words. "Unless we play dirty, we can't win. Victory at any cost." Damien shook his head again - dirty blonde hair becoming unplaced and making him look messier than usual. She wouldn't let him speak, though. "Whatever sins we commit in our fight is worth it if we can get rid of Shoku. If it's really that bad, can't we just repay for it after we've won?"

The telepath looked upset and frustrated and sad all the same. Aria didn't really enjoy it, but she had to beat the naivety out of him however she could. If a team member were to break because someone died, that'd jeopardize the entire mission. "Even if I did die, Yui's really strong." The dancer gave a grim laugh. "If she were to get more practice, I'm not sure even I could beat her. I guess you could say I'm grooming her as a back-up in case something happens to me."

Damian's fists were balled up in anger. "Don't talk about dying like that! Don't make it sound so casual-"

"It's a possibility." A dark smile was on her face, devoid of her usual pride."We have to prepare for the worst, don't we?"

"I'm not talking about this anymore." Damian then sighed heavily, turning to leave. "I don't care what you say. I'm not letting you die. Get some rest."

Under her breath, once the coast was clear, Aria slammed her good hand against the wall to vent her own frustration. Why didn't he understand? Why didn't anyone understand? Still angry, she decided to sleep and hope her wounds recovered quickly so that she could go and fight again as soon as possible.

Yui was still shaking when she came out of the tub. She was still shaking when she got dressed and brushed out the knots in her hair. Yui took a few deep breaths to stop it; she was still tired and wanted nothing more than to sleep in after the accident yesterday. Xavier had best come back soon, the Freedom Fighters were falling apart without him. As she headed down the stairs, Yui heard Aria calling to her. "I'm awake!" The girl replied, appearing around the corner and in the kitchen. Damian was quietly standing by the stove, making breakfast. It smelled good and Yui couldn't help but noticed that there were bags under his eyes. Had he not slept? Yui wondered, going to take out the dishes so that he would have a bit of an easier time.

Yui wasn't so sure about going on a mission, especially after what had happened yesterday, but if they wanted her to come, then she would go. Yui believed that she would be fine as long as she didn't have to hurt anyone and if they were simply scoping out the place then there was probably no need to worry. Her only concern was being recognized, what if she had been in that camp? Although Yui doubted it, somehow, after seeing the blueprints Xavier had shown them, Yui didn't think she was ever in a work camp. Yui sat down as Damian placed the food on the table, he didn't sit with them though. "I'll be right back," the boy promised, retreating to the room he did all of his research him. Yui wasn't concerned, he was probably just going to get the blueprints or to check in with Xavier.

There was a knock at the door. Damian reappeared, going to get it so that the two girls didn't have to move. Yui was still munching happily on her breakfast when Damian rushed over and picked up the girl, fork still in her hand, and shoved her into the closest closet, closing the door and running back. He opened the door, an Enforcer standing there with a scowl on his face. He obviously hated his job as much as they hated him. "Can I help you?" Damian asked pleasantly, being as polite as possible.

"Yes, I've received notice that a resident at this address has been leaving lights on past curfew."

"Oh? Ooh, you'll have to excuse me officer, I've been studying for a vital exam coming up at the university," Damian subtly gestured to the stack of textbooks by the door that was there for just this occasion. The Enforcer nodded his head in understanding, clearing his throat and typing on his forearm pad. "I'll have to write you up for over allotment of electricity. Tone down your usage, this is your first warning."

"Yes sir."

"And good luck on those exams," the paper printed from the little machine, he handed it to Damian and left. Damian closed the door behind him, breathing a sigh of relief. "That was a close one," he placed the paper on top of the textbooks and went back to the kitchen, slumping down into one of the chairs. "You can come out now!" He called, Yui poking her head out and coming back to the table.

Aria was lucky the doctor had stayed overnight to see to her. He had to leave a few minutes after changing her bandages, having to check into work lest he wanted to arouse suspicion. It wasn't unusual for doctors to do house calls, especially in upper class areas. They were in one of the larger houses meant for those that Ira Shoku considered valuable. Whose house it had originally been, no one but Xavier knew. The Doctor couldn't help but wonder though as he left, packing up his things and calling goodbye to those in the house.

When Aria called her, Yui was just finishing up breakfast. She shoveled another mouthful of scrambled eggs into her mouth before wiping her lips off and standing, running up the stairs and to her room. Yui sat on the bed, Aria seemed to be comfortable on her little cloud, floating in the air, throwing illusions. The singer seemed nervous about something, which in turn, made Yui anxious. Aria was never nervous, not even staring down death yesterday, she hadn't so much as batted an eye. So Yui shifted uncomfortably until finally, Aria got down to business and asked her the question. "Where do I draw...?" Yui wondered aloud, thinking to herself.

"I think that taking lives shouldn't be for us to decide." Yui wasn't sure if she believed in a higher power or not, but she was certain of one thing. "I mean-we shouldn't stoop to their level. They get what they want by hurting others and killing them and threatening their loved ones. So we shouldn't do that." How should they go about then? Yui didn't think they should use force, or hurt those they were trying to get information out of. "I mean-" Yui scratched her cheek, unsure of how to phrase this. "They're darkness and we're light, so we shouldn't let the light be swallowed be the darkness. If that makes sense." Yui looked at her lap, hoping that she didn't sound crazy.

"If someone is hurting your family, you should protect them, but we shouldn't go out of our way to kill someone we don't like and justify it by calling them bad or evil."

Aria smiled pleasantly as she listened to Yui's answer. To be honest, it wasn't much of a surprise. She did seem rather... soft in that regard, especially given the mermaid's reaction to when she killed Charles. The sudden fear in her eyes was certainly something to behold, for sure. A few years ago, Aria might've had the same response to the question. That was a long time ago, though, and the singer knew her path was probably a lonely one. She'd have to take more care in not presenting her bloodier side to Yui whenever possible. So she hid her mild disappointment behind her trademark smile.

"It... makes sense." She said, voice even. "Personally, by letting bad people go free, it means they can go and hurt more innocent people, or give them a chance to beat us in the future. It's a risk I don't really want to take." Aria's eyes were wide and focused. "If one of you were killed by someone I spared before, I'd never forgive myself. You get what I'm saying, right?"

It was fine, though. If Yui described Xavier, Damian, and herself as light, Aria most definitely considered herself to be darkness. It was yet another barrier between her and Yui that couldn't really be breached. Moreover, the ex-idol wasn't sure she wanted Aria to really understand. There was something nostalgic about her naivete that she wanted to preserve if at all possible. "Thanks for the little talk, I guess." Aria gave a benign shrug, scratching at her hair. "So, enough serious talk! Let's do something a little more fun..."

Then Aria came up with an idea she thought was great. With a few waves of her hand, illusions played across her own body yet again. She had bigger breasts, a bigger butt, and wider, juicy hips that everyone could envy. Her hair was long and straight, and all the flaws on her face were removed - shiny silky smooth. The idol made a little giggle and twisted her body to test the boundaries of the illusion, only rippling when a sudden pain shot up her in the middle. She made an "okay" sign with her fingers to Yui to show that she was fine, and then turned to the mermaid, an excited look in her eyes.

"Did you ever want to look different?" A mischievous smile, a salacious grin. "...Cuter? Hotter? Oh, maybe even as a boy? Make a request, and I'll fulfill it for ya! Then go admire my work in the mirror!" Aria's hand was tense, ready to make whatever Yui asked for. It was just harmless, pointless fun - but also a way to practice her skills as well.

It was fun transforming into something Yui never thought she could be, tall and pretty, with a full bust and slender hips. She looked pretty-no-gorgeous. Yui examined herself in the mirror, wondering how Aria knew what Damian liked. Had confessed to her once? Or maybe it had just come from a lot of observation? Yui turned back around to ask Aria to do another one when she froze. Aria had a sad, almost nostalgic look in her eyes. She mentioned practicing powers, but Yui didn't think that was a good idea with Aria's injury. "Maybe you should just for now, I mean, we're going to be doing a lot of stuff in an hour or two so..." She trailed off when Aria spoke again, comparing her little sister, Mizuki, to Yui.

Yui reached out and gently touched Aria's good hand, the illusion fading away. "We're going to find her," Yui spoke confidently. "Xavier and Damian both said that she's there." Yui wasn't going to let Aria's most important person slip away just like that. Even if they had to search all day, Yui was going to make sure Aria was reunited with Mizuki.

A knock came from the door, Damian poked his head in. "You guys ready?" He looked between them, his smile quickly fading. "What's wrong?" He stepped fully into the room and Yui stood quickly, shaking her head. "Nothing's wrong, we were just talking." She ran to the bathroom and came back, putting a bottle of salt water into a little bag that she was going to take with her. "I'm ready to go." Her shoes and jacket were still downstairs, but no one wore shoes inside of the house.

"My car's around the back, so just make sure to keep your heads low when I pull out." Damian wasn't sure if Aria was still wanted, if her father had somehow tapped into the cameras, they were as good as dead. Yui looked at Aria as Damian left, closing the door. "Ready to go?" Yui asked, picking up her bag and putting it on. As a precaution, she brought an extra roll of bandages just in case it proved useful. Aria could be reckless, there was no telling if they'd have to use them.

The ride to the work camp was more or less uneventful. Aria kept air condensed around her torso as cushions in case there were bumps or other sudden movements she wasn't prepared for. It was comfier than she'd admit - not to mention how excited she was to get close to where Mizuki was said to be. It was like a hungry churning deep in her gut, keeping her head low to avoid being seen while desperately wanting to poke up to peer through the windows for a glance at the outside. She almost wanted to ask Damian if they were there yet ever few minutes, like an annoying and impatient child. She was restless - she wanted to move around and kill things. The ex-idol had to remind herself that this wasn't a killing mission... yet. Tomorrow, she'd annihilate all the employees and Enforcers at the camp for using her sister in such a way. Maybe doing that will satiate her need for blood, in even the smallest way.

"I'll rip'em all apart..." Aria mumbled to herself, voice trembling just a tad. "They'll all regret being born. I'll make sure of it..." Her voice trailed off, and she shook her head in derision. She then turned her head to the mermaid and gently patted her head. "I'm counting on you. You're... a lot stronger than you think you are."

Once they were close enough for Aria to fly above, but still far enough that they were hidden from view, Damian let them out. Aria wasted no time, creating a shimmering illusion that she and Yui were invisible, inviting the younger girl onto her cloud. The two girls ascended high up and a bitterly cold wind blew past them. Thinking quickly, the strategist formed makeshift barriers made of air surrounding them, protecting them from wayward winds. Avoiding the light of the sensors, Aria sent the cloud to the waterway marked on the map she memorized, floating outside it a bit. She made a finger gun and a grin, firing wind into the sewer, noting several passages they could exit, despite it being maze-like. Aria glanced over at Yui and made an illusion of the map, marking their current location and scanning it for possible places to attack once they snuck in. "We could take this passage..." Aria drew a line with her finger. "It'd take us to a reservoir on the east side of the camp, where most of the workers tend to sleep. We could liberate them that way, though it'd mean any fighting will have to happen with the slaves in the area, which might have them getting hurt." Ari drew another line. "This path takes us close to central command. It'd be hard and bloody, but once in, one team would draw all the fire while the other evacuates everyone. I was thinking, Xavier and I handle taking over the control center and unlock the gates while you save the workers..." The grey haired girl winked at the mermaid. "You like protecting, right? It suits you, maybe?"

There was another option, but Aria wanted to keep that one to herself. She could go all out in what was basically a suicide attack - kill all the enemies and deal as much damage as possible to distract them from going after the Evac Team. In her condition, she'd almost certainly die, but it was a last resort if the other two options failed. And hey, there were many worse ways to go.

"Of course, there might be other options." Aria admitted, shrugging. "But these two seem to be the most likely to succeed. What do you think?"
