Name: Jackson Wolfe

Age: 29

Hexcode/Dialogue: #D35D1E

Faceclaim: Nick Bateman

Hair color: Brown

Eye Color: Dark Brown

Height: 6'4"

Weight: 198 lbs.

Attire: Jackson is almost always found sporting a suit.

ImagePersonality: Childish- Jackson is used to getting what he wants and doesn't like to be told no. He also has a temper and is extremely stubborn, so getting him to do something he doesn't want to do is a difficult task.

Arrogant- Jackson is handsome, smart, and rich, and he knows it. So, bragging about his success is something that he does often.

Dependent- Being pampered his whole life, he never learned how to do simple tasks that most people do. He relies on his maids and cooks to do all of these things for him.

Hardworking- Despite having most things handed to him on a silver platter, Jackson is dedicated to his job and has worked hard to gain his success. When it comes to everyday tasks, he relies on his workers, but as a business man he becomes a whole different person entirely.

Intelligent- He didn't go through 4 years of college without using his brains. Jackson is very smart, particularly in mathematics and business.

Charming- Charm is basically required in the world of business and Jackson has more than enough of that, when he chooses to use it that is. Mainly, he uses it to get women. Which explains why he has a reputation as a womanizer.

Quirky- His quirkiness isn't something that he has made public knowledge. That bit of his personality is only known in the safety of his own penthouse. He can also be quite silly as well.

Image
History: Being wealthy was the only thing Jackson had ever known. His father was a businessman, much like he is now, that owned several successful companies. His father was very strict on him as a child as well. While other kids were outside playing, he was stuck studying. It was also forbidden for him to attend parties unless he was attending them with his father. It was a tough childhood, contrary to what most people would think. It wasn't until he graduated college at the top of his class, that his father stopped breathing down his neck. That was when he created Wolfe Industries, a Brokerage firm that currently resides in Chicago, Illinois. With Jackson's exemplary business skills, the company quickly skyrocketed to the top, making Jackson a self-proclaimed billionaire at a young age. For years, Wolfe Industries ran smoothly with no problems, until recently.

A few weeks ago, the company earned a large sum of money, while their clients and investors lost as much as the company had earned. It sent several of the investors into debt and left thousands of clients broke. Quite the controversy was created from the incident, accusations of embezzlement and false information arose, putting Jackson Wolfe in the spotlight with no where to run. That was when the attempt on his life was made and because of his strong connections with the Chinese and Japanese, he was assigned a bodyguard to keep him out of harms way.

So begins...

Sitting in his office at Wolfe Industries, Jackson skimmed through the emails on his computer. He was quite calm considering what had happened to him only 4 days ago.

He was getting ready to climb into his car, had just opened the door actually, when he realized he had forgotten his wallet inside. While he was inside getting his wallet, he heard a loud explosion. The police came and upon further examination, found evidence of a bomb. Apparently, it was set to go off a minute after the driver seat door was opened. As Chicago’s most eligible bachelor and one of the most well known businessmen in the United States, the attempt on his life was all over the news. Paparazzi followed him everywhere, he couldn’t get away from them. He figured they would get sick of him in a couple a weeks, but for now he was going to have to deal with them every time he stepped outside.

Frank Morris, a government official and friend of Jackson’s had called him up immediately after he heard the news, claiming that he needed a bodyguard to watch over him until they figured out who had tried to kill him. Jackson did not want that, his dad had watched over him for the first 21 years of his life, and he didn’t need someone else to come do it now that he was older. Did the occurrence freak him out a bit? Hell yes. But that didn’t mean he wanted to be monitored 24/7.

It didn’t matter what he wanted though, Frank had talked it over with his colleagues and they had decided that he was too valuable to go without protection. So that brings him to today, where Frank is coming in to introduce him to the bodyguard that has been assigned to him. Whoever he is, the newcomer is sure to be impressed by Wolfe industries. It is a tall rectangular building that towers over all the others around it. Inside the building, the Wolfe logo can be seen plastered onto multiple surfaces and structures. The dĂ©cor is very chic and expensive looking, much like that of his penthouse. His office sat on the top floor, the only other thing occupying the floor was the desk of his personal assistant which sat right outside of it. You could not see him sitting in his chair from the desk, the only thing that was visible before entering was a file cabinet that was leaning against the wall.

Jackson’s office was huge, definitely big enough to hold a meeting with several people. The large open windows that scaled down the rest of the building gave him the perfect overlook of the city. Three leather seats sat directly in front of his smooth black desk for the purpose of seating visitors. His silver name plate was turned away from him and a thermos full of coffee sat directly beside it along with a few files.

The intercom beeped and his PA’s voice filled the room. "Mr. Wolfe, Frank Morris has arrived along with two other visitors. Kelly went ahead and sent them all up."

Kelly was the secretary that was that manned the desk in the lobby. One of those visitors was the bodyguard, the other was probably an associate of Frank’s. "That’s fine Becky, she knew I was expecting them. Go ahead and send them through once they get up here."

Before he knew it, the light knock on his door came and Frank walked in along with the bodyguard and some woman that he didn’t recognize. Out of courtesy, Jackson stood and greeted them all with a handshake, his hand lingering a bit in the woman’s. She was absolutely stunning. An easy 10 in the looks department. She was also very tall for a woman, though not as tall as him.

"Jackson Wolfe." He introduced himself to the two that didn’t know him. Then looking at the man said, "And you must be the bodyguard that has been assigned to me."

The call had finally come after more than two years of restless pursuit to find a life outside of the force. It had been sudden and unaffiliated with her program, a job that veered more into the private section.

"You'd be perfect for the job," Frank had said, "I think something like this is what you need to stop yourself from going crazy, right?"

Delilah had known Frank for several years now, him being her first assigned official, and she had learned everything about him that first year and a half as he ran for the position he had kept since then. That time had taught Delilah that he was not someone who would drag her down into something illegal but, even if she hadn't been sure about that, the need to be back on the field again would have driven her to agree to the job offer she was given no information about nonetheless.

The next day, Frank's black Cadillac drove up the park near Delilah's apartment where he was supposed to pick her up. Once inside, Delilah greeted him and Johnathan, Frank's personal assistant who she had met from the job. She was surprised to see him there, in fact, since John usually stayed hidden from sight doing work and errands for the official. He was a man of large built and, on the day that Delilah had met the two, she had thought John was another bodyguard. She would later learn that the man couldn't even swat away a fly, but that his skills with scheduling and dealing with Frank's problems were almost supernatural.

The two drove the long way to where Delilah would meet her client, conversing in a small but pleasant conversation about how Frank was doing. Upon being questioned how Delilah had been doing these last two years, she just shrugged and replied with a simple, "I'm just glad to be back working."

When the vehicle stopped, Delilah took a second to read the main sign and she paused for a moment. She watched the news at seven every day before her night jog and she was familiar with the assassination on Jackson Wolfe that occurred just four days prior. She had also heard, although much less since tabloids were not her thing, the infamous reputation of the man.

Without a word, Delilah stepped out of the vehicle and followed Frank inside, relieved that she had chosen to wear a black pants suit since she blended in better with the crowd that rushed through the busy building. The three were rung up in a matter of minutes and inside of the Wolfe office shortly later. Delilah was honestly impressed; no government building had such luxuries since they were expected to spend money on other things and the view of the city once they stepped in was the first thing that drew her attention. It only lasted for a brief moment, however, because Delilah was quickly glancing around the room as she had done back down in the lobby, scanning the place to be a little more familiar where she was standing.

The last thing her eyes landed on was the man himself, to whom she shook his hand, her trained grip firm and steady. Her eyes glanced down as his hand lingered longer than expected and, without even meaning to, she retracted her hand almost a little forcefully.

Delilah was not surprised when she saw Jackson turn to Johnathan; most people associated bodyguards with physical qualifications more... aligned to Johnathan's. But it didn't mean she was pleased about it. On being addressed, Johnathan opened his eyes in surprised and was about to stutter a "no" when Delilah spoke up.

"No, I am, Mr. Wolfe."

There was an accent to her voice, an accent that Delilah always returned to whenever she didn't have to control it and, although it did have a airiness to it, it wasn't as high-pitched as most women.

Clearing his throat, Frank nodded, "Jackson, this is Delilah Adler. She will be accompanying you at least until we can find the person behind the... incident." With that, Frank sat in the middle seat and motioned for Delilah to take a seat on the left chair.

Delilah took a seat, her expression serious as she examined Jackson. Her prolonged gaze could be interpreted as many things, but Delilah was only trying to examine Jackson's behavior. And actually deciding if this was a good idea or not.

"So, Jackson, the last thing we want to do is add fuel to the problem and make you appear more scared or vulnerable after this incident. We need to give you an image of strength, but we can't risk keeping the level of security you have, it just isn't enough," Frank continued, "What my colleagues and I thought would best way to go about this is to make it seem as if you and Ms. Adler are a couple.

Not having been aware of this information, Delilah's jaw tightened in response, her eyebrows drawing together into a frown."Frank, I was not aware of this detail."

"Delilah, this is the best way for you to protect him without raising suspicion," Frank reasoned, turning to her briefly, "Plus, you wanted to be back out on the field, right?"

The last question made Delilah look away. She wasn't sure whether feeling angry about being set up like this was justified. Frank was right, she was going crazy and she doubted the program would be calling her anytime soon. Maybe, if they saw her succeed here it would give them a reason to take her back.

Frank didn't wait for Delilah to answer before he turned back to Jackson with his charismatic smile, "So Jackson, what do you say?"

xxxxxxxxxxDialogue: #D35D1E
Jackson stood dumbfounded even as they went to sit in the seats in front of his desk. His bodyguard was a woman. A woman.

He had no problems with women, but having a woman protect him was a large hit to his masculinity. Men were supposed to be the protectors, not the other way around. Sure, Jackson had never been in a physical fight before as he'd always been able to talk his way out of any conflict, but he felt like he could hold his own. He exercised every morning and was a pretty big dude, so that gave him an edge over others. He couldn't shoot a gun though, and he hated knives. So maybe he wouldn't do very well in a fight, but still.

Ever so slowly, he trudged to his office chair, a somewhat pouty expression displayed on his face. Delilah, as Frank had introduced her, kept staring at him. He couldn't tell whether she was checking him out or trying to intimidate him, but it was making him uncomfortable. Does she always do that? He thought as her staring continued. All of his thoughts left him however, when Frank said that they were to pretend to be a couple. He could tell that Delilah, as Frank had called her, was just as unhappy about this information as he was. But Frank seemed to get her onboard with the idea fairly quickly.

Frank's charismatic smile wasn't going to help him here. "What do I say?" he repeated incredulously. "I say that's bullshit!" He paused for a moment to calm himself down.

"Do you know who I am, Frank?" He asked. "I'm the most eligible bachelor in all of Chicago. Meaning that I am not in a relationship. Think of how it will look if I'm going out with women all the time while I'm supposed to have a girlfriend.”

Calm as always, Frank tried to smooth things over. “Take it easy Jackson. I’m well aware of your status and reputation. I have a solution that will fix your worries.” He cleared his throat. “For the time being, you are not allowed to fraternize with other woman. We need this relationship to seem completely real. You will both have to regularly go out on dates and make appearances in public. Wherever you go, she goes. That includes staying at your penthouse. I know you have an extra room for her to stay in, so that shouldn’t be a problem.” He stopped before adding. “Oh, I almost forgot. We currently have your maids, cooks, and personal drivers hidden in a safe house. We had to make sure that they weren’t put in harm's way by caring for you.”

What. The. Hell. “You’re serious.” Franks blank expression let Jackson know that he was. His hands went to cover his face and then he ran them through his hair in frustration.

No women. No help. No freedom. How was he supposed to get anything done. He didn’t know how to wash clothes, cook, or even drive. Living in the city his whole life, he never had need for a car. He traveled in cab’s, on the subway, or had his driver take him places. Jackson also didn’t like the idea of having no privacy whatsoever. His house was the only place where he could relax, but he wouldn’t be able to with her there. He glared at Delilah as he thought this. He knew it wasn’t her fault, but he was mad at her all the same.

“And I have no choice in the matter.” he said to Frank.

Shaking his head, Frank answered,“No. I’m afraid that you don’t.” Then trying to brighten the mood he said, “The good news is that you are required to take some time off of work. You still have to show up on occasion, but you’ll have a lot more free time.”

“Great. That’s just what I wanted Frank, some time off. I feel a lot better about this now.” he said sarcastically.

Standing up to leave, Frank obviously didn’t hear the sarcasm in his voice. “That’s the spirit!” He smiled brightly at Jackson. “Now that everything’s settled, I better take off. I have a meeting to attend and I’m already running late.” Then, after saying his goodbye’s to Delilah, he exited the room.

With his arms crossed over his chest, Jackson stared unhappily at the woman in front of him. She was pretty, but after finding out that she was the person that was invading his life, he felt nothing but anger towards her. Sighing, he put away the files he had laying out and stood from his chair.

He made a gesture with his hand for her to follow him out the door. Upon passing his personal assistant he said, “I’m taking the rest of the day off Becky.”

Once they had reached the outside of the building, he stuck his hand out to call for a cab. As he waited for one to come near, he grumpily looked to Delilah. “Where do you want to go?” he asked her abruptly. “Since we have to go on dates, we might as well get one out of the way, so then I can get home and ignore you for the remainder of the day.”

dialogue - #a28dd2

Delilah sat in silence as she watched the man retaliate, obviously being bothered by the proposition. It was when he said that he was the most eligible bachelor that she reacted, rolling her eyes. It wouldn't be the first time Delilah had been assigned to work with someone of a similar personality, but it didn't mean that it made the job any easier for her. It turned out that men of high position tended to lean towards that type of personality, whether it was public knowledge or not. Her eyes flickered to Frank for a moment.

Public appearances? Delilah had thought this would be more of an under the table relationship. That she would do with no problem, but a public image would most likely make it impossible for her to go back into the government, the way she wanted. Delilah wasn't someone to scare easily but the thought of this made her stomach feel like an empty pit. The idea of sharing an apartment didn't bother her actually. She usually had to do things like this and getting hotel rooms next to whoever she was working with. It personally didn't bother her as long as her own apartment didn't come into play.

Delilah didn't say anything. She would figure things out later. The job paid a lot of money, enough to cover any necessary... changes needed for her to be accepted back into her field and keep her without worry about how her expenses would be paid. The rest of the meeting didn't last more than a few minutes and, ignoring the clear anger directed her way, Delilah shook Frank and John's hands before watching them go.

Soon, she was following Jackson back down through the elevator and the office. Her expression was serious. I'm a chameleon, she thought, closing her eyes briefly as Jackson put his hand out for a cab. She had been trained to kill someone with her own hands and then go back into a gala as if nothing had happened. She could do this.

But, the thought that this wasn't an actual government job did something to her unconsciously. It made it feel like she had more freedom to shape this job into what she needed it to be.

Her eyes opened as she heard Jackson's voice. She kept her face level, but she felt a feeling of disgust as he mentioned a date. Delilah had never had time for that sort of thing and she had tried it out these past two years once or twice, no times being of great result. IT was clear that Jackson wasn't thrilled about it, so it didn't entice her in the least.

"I'm hungry for something French," Delilah said, opening the cab door. "And don't worry, Mr. Wolfe, it just makes my job easier," she added with a small smile in response to his part about ignoring her.

A thought crossed her mind. She had not come with any of her clothes or essentials which meant she would have to get them, and she couldn't let Jackson out of her sight. Damn you, Frank, she thought. If she would've known she would start right away, Delilah would have brought it.

"We have to stop by my apartment though, I have to get my things," she added after a moment in a more bitter tone. Great, now she would probably want to move after this.

French food, not a bad choice. Jackson preferred pizza but it would look better if they ate somewhere fancy he supposed. He scoffed at the comment she made as she opened the door to the cab. She doesn't want to spend time with him. That should make him happy because he feels the same way, but it irked him a bit to know he hadn't made an impression on her. He's Jackson freaking Wolfe, a devilishly handsome billionaire. What's not to like?

He moved in to sit beside her in the cab. Just as he opened his mouth to give the driver directions to the restaurant, Delilah spoke up, saying that she needed to get her things from the apartment. An irritated groan came from his lips, but he knew that he had to let her get her things. “Give the driver the directions and we’ll get your stuff and then drop it off at my house. Just make it quick, I hate waiting.”

Letting her rattle off the directions, he tapped his fingers on the seat. It wasn’t long before the silence ate at him and he felt the urge to talk. “Since you’re staying at my house, there are a few things you need to know.” He looked at her pointedly as he laid out the facts. “Number 1, I have a dog. His name is Franklin and he is a yorkie terrier. So, if you're not a dog person you’re going to have to deal with it. Number 2,” he held up a second finger. “My bedroom is off limits, you should be able to protect me just fine from your room. The third and final thing is that peanut butter will not in any way, shape, or form, enter my house. I hate the taste, the smell, the texture. I even hate looking at it and since it’s my house, I have the right to forbid it.”

By the time he had finished his little speech, the cab was pulling up to what he assumed to be Delilah’s apartment. Jackson paid the cabbie extra to wait for them to load up the car. When all her stuff was in the cab, they headed towards Jackson’s penthouse. Pulling up to the tall building, he went ahead and paid the driver. He would catch another taxi when they headed out to dinner. Walking into the building, he grabbed one of the luggage carts from the lobby and helped Delilah load her stuff onto it, since he didn’t have any workers to bring it up for him like he usually did. They made their way to the elevator which brought them to his penthouse, it took up the top floor or top three since it had three stories. It was very luxurious with large open windows like his office at work. Wolfe Industries was actually visible from his house as it wasn’t too far away.

Most of the flooring was made out of dark hardwood, but his bedroom as well as the movie room had soft and thick carpeting that was dark gray in color. Jackson liked the feel of it on his feet, he would have it covering his entire house if hardwood flooring wasn’t so popular. The bedrooms were all located on the second floor. His was the master which was to the left and the guest rooms were to the right, though they were also very big rooms. The problem was that while there were three other bathrooms, only his had a shower and bath. He had both a jacuzzi tub and a walk in shower. His walk in shower got the most use; it had no doors and was blocked only by a brick wall. Thinking how this would interfere with what he told Delilah he looked at her and said, “I just realized that my bedroom can’t be off limits. The only bath and shower is in my bathroom, so you’ll have to come through my room to get there.” Giving her a pointed look, he continued. “Please don’t spend any more time in there than is necessary though.”

Walking further into his house he pointed at the stairs leading to the rooms. “My room is the furthest to the left. The other two are both guest rooms so you can pick whichever one you like. If you walk downstairs you’ll find the movie/game room and the fitness room.” His hand moved again to point towards the opening past the living room and kitchen. “Over there is the pool and hot tub. On the wall in there is a control pad. It controls the temperature and lighting of the pool, you can have multicolored lights if you want, and it can black out the windows so no one can see in.”

“I think that’s about it.” His mood went back to grumpy when he had finished. “Now hurry up and get your stuff up there so we can head to the restaurant.” he said impatiently.

dialogue - #a28dd2

The directions were given and the taxi was sent its direction, to the less luxurious but still safe neighborhood where Delilah lived. Delilah was looking out the window at the passing buildings and people when the man's voice drew her eyes away from the moving scenery. She had been perfectly fine sitting in silence. In fact, she preferred silence over anything else and she watched him with an emotionless expression as he spoke. Delilah would've felt fine but, of course, Jackson had found the need to add some condescending comments to his rules which made Delilah take a deep breath to prevent herself from saying something.

The news that there would be a dog wasn't exactly great for Delilah since she had been known to have allergic reactions to dogs at times. She had gone off medication once she got off the field, but this meant that she would probably have to get them again. Once in her apartment building, Delilah opened the door and made Jackson a gesture to wait outside. She went inside and closed the door almost completely. Nothing would happen if he waited out there for a few minutes. If Jackson would've peeked inside through the gap, he would've gotten the gist of it all. It was a studio apartment with her bed behind a wall. It was all-white and furnished with the necessities, and that would've been the only indication that someone lived there since there were no pictures of personal objects decorating the place.

Delilah came back out around five minutes later with a luggage and a smaller over the shoulder bag. She had learned to pack well and fast, so she was sure that she didn't really need anything. She hadn't brought an all-black uniform since it wouldn't be fitting but did pack some things that she thought would be appropriate.

Once they got there, Delilah watched as Jackson helped her get the stuff up. Instinctively, she had been tempted to tell him to not help out since she hated being helped with this sort of situation, but she took a quick look around the area and decided that it might do her "boyfriend" some good to carry something heavier than his ego.

There was a wave of relief that washed through Delilah when she noticed that the dog hadn't come running to them just yet. Maybe it wasn't one of those very affectionate dogs, she thought with hope.

"I'll make sure to knock before going in," she said simply in response to the bathroom situation. It was so ridiculous that in a place this extravagant with three rooms the architect would think of only putting one full bathroom. at least there was a fitness center. Her eyes glanced over at the pool and an eyebrow raised in response.

Wonder what he's compensating for, she thought in amusement. Hearing that she could go, Delilah grabbed her bags and moved over to the first bedroom. It continued the same modern and slightly industrial style as the rest of the place and thankfully there were hardwood floors in the room. The bed was large and, moving over to what she figured was the closet, Delilah put in her things. It appeared that one of the half bathrooms was in her room, thankfully, so took two minutes to freshen up and change into one a blue-button downs and her shorts since she didn't exactly feel comfortable in pant suits and figuring that maybe Jackson would change as well. She also didn't think that they would be going somewhere extremely fancy.

Coming back out, Delilah looked for Jackson. "You'll have to let me know what to wear, Mr. Jackson, so I can dress accordingly," she said, putting her phone into the brown shoulder bag she had brought. "Although I believe it would be best if you took off your suit jacket, we would look better," she added.

With a small nod of the head for them to go, Delilah began walking back to the front of the apartment. Her eyes glanced down at his hand for a second. Should they hold hands out there? The thought made her grip her bag. She wasn't one for physical contact she she hoped he wouldn't suggest it just yet; it didn't seem like he would, anyways.

"I doubt Frank will want you going to your usual places for now," she added, stepping out, "So is there any French restaurant you have been wanting to try out? I know a few places if you can't think of anything."

Jackson’s dark eyes followed Delilah as she walked down the stairs. She had changed into something more casual which made him scrunch up his nose. He was planning to take her somewhere fancy and that outfit was definitely not up to his standards of fancy. Admittedly, she looked really good, but there was no way he was telling her that.

He opened his mouth to tell her to go put on a dress, when she suggested that he take off his suit jacket. Jackson was taken aback by the remark. He looked damn fine in his suit and he knew it. Taking off the jacket would ruin his whole look. Frustrated and mad, he gave in to her suggestion. Entering his room, he quickly grabbed a pair of dark jeans and a simple black shirt so he would match Delilah's casual style somewhat. He kept his expensive watch on to give his outfit more taste and threw on his lucky key necklace. Stomping down the stairs in his black leather boots he gave her a face as if to say, 'happy now?' The outfit bothered him, he was so used to wearing suits that wearing normal clothes felt foreign to him.

Before they headed out he thought he should explain to her why his dog wasn't barking up a storm. "By the way, Franklin isn't here right now, my neighbor on the floor below us watches him while I'm at work, though I suppose I'll have to be taking care of him more now or I'll have to find a kennel for him to stay in. I'll pick him up after our date. He's a pretty good dog though, so he shouldn't bother you too much."

Then he noticed how her eyes flashed to his hand. Normally, Jackson was able to read people easily, but she kept such a stony expression all the time that he couldn't tell what she was thinking. However, the way she gripped her bag after she looked at his hand told him that she was nervous about the whole pretending to be a couple thing. He grinned internally at this information. What better way to get rid of the bodyguard than by annoying the shit out of her?

In a much better mood now, Jackson happily walked out with her. Instead of getting mad about changing his plans of where they were going to eat, he took the suggestion in stride. "We can eat wherever you want." With a mischievous glint in his eye, he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her to his side. It was a good thing he had dabbed a bit of his fresh smelling cologne on before leaving. "Why don't we just walk through the streets and see what we come across, there are plenty of places to eat around here." Turning his head towards her with a devilish smile he added, "Plus, what's nicer than taking a stroll through the city with my girlfriend." Pulling his phone out of his back pocket he pulled it in front of him, snapping a quick picture of the two of them without warning. "We need lots of pictures as well. Make sure to smile more in the next one though, sweetheart. Bright smiles indicate a happy couple."

Delilah smirked in satisfaction as she watched Jackson returned. He wasn't shy about making faces and she saw how changing clearly annoyed him. Despite being in more casual clothes, it was clear that Jackson knew how to pull off an outfit but Delilah wasn't one to look at those things so she dismissed that even before it crossed her mind.

Franklin? Delilah thought in confusion. Right, the dog. She was good at remembering people and details but had forgotten all about the dog for a moment. Why would he give the dog a human name? She thought, noticing that detail just now. She didn't necessarily have anything against animals, but she hoped that Jackson would send him to the kennel. Fewer problems for her.

A shocked gasp left Delilah's lips as she felt herself being pulled into Jackson. Her first instinct was to respond in a way that... well, would leave him on the ground and hurt but she quickly checked herself. There was a clear tension coming from her body, a slight pull away from him. She hated physical contact and it took her a moment to process everything, her mind catching up when he had taken the picture.

What did I get myself into? she thought, her eyes glancing around at the people who walked past them. They were out on the streets now and she couldn’t just push him away, as much as she would’ve loved to see him stumbling. Her heart was pounding fast and it wasn’t because she felt swooned over by the closure or the smell of cologne. She just wasn’t used to this sort of contact so Delilah tried to hide her internal distress with a smile.

"A walk, of course," she mumbled. Her hand moved down to his hand she unwrapped his arm from around her, holding it a little bit too tight in order to get her point across without anyone else seeing what was going on."I think we'd me more comfortable this way, sweetheart," she replied, the last word coming out through gritted teeth as she took a hold of his hand and stepped a little to the side so they had more space between them but not so much that people would think of walking between them. "I haven't eaten for hours, so I actually think that we should stop at the first place we see," Delilah added, screwing the idea of going to one of the places she had thought of. Better not tarnish them with unpleasant memories, after all. Better get this over with so they can get back to the apartment.

They had walked a bit by now, Delilah was a fast walker. "Let's eat here," she said, seeing a small crepe place and pulling him inside without waiting for his answer. It was very simple and had two tables outside, certainly nothing fancy like what Jackson probably was used to.

The shocked gasp that left Delilah's lips when he pulled her to him, gave Jackson a felling of satisfaction. He almost laughed when he felt her pull away from him slightly. Based on her reaction, he could tell that she did not like physical contact, or at least, she didn't like physical contact coming from him. Either way, he was happy to know that he had made her uncomfortable.

It was when she grabbed his hand off of her waist that the grin dropped from his face. Ouch, he thought as her grip became a bit too tight. She was obviously trying to express her dislike of his actions and it got Jackson to shut up pretty quick. She was pretty damn strong for a girl.

He complied with her request and they walked with more space between them, though she still had ahold of his hand. She also did not like the sweetheart thing at all, which only made him more determined to give her nicknames every moment he could. In full pissed off mode, Delilah dragged him into the first place they ran into. He scrunched up his nose, a habit of his. Crepes? What the hell is a crepe?

The place looked to be small and not very fancy at all. If his father saw him eating here, he would have a heart attack. Walking up to the register, Jackson ordered the chocolate banana crepe, since it was the first thing he saw. After Delilah ordered, they went to one of the tables outside and sat down.

With a fake smile directed towards Delilah he said, "Excellent choice of food, honey bunny. I absolutely adore crepes." To make a point Jackson took a large bite out of the crepe. He was surprised however, when he actually liked it. The pastry was sweet and flavorful leaving a pleasant taste in his mouth. As he was munching down on the crepe, he saw a gleam of something out of the corner of his eye. Discretely turning his head to see what it was, he groaned loudly.

"Shit," he muttered under his breath.

Gazing at Delilah with adoring eyes, he smiled. "Paparazzi to your right. We'll be covering every magazine tomorrow," he said to her with the smile still in place. "So please try to avoid being your boring self and don't do anything to embarrass me. I'm under enough stress as it is." He suddenly laughed as if she had said something funny.

Delilah was glad that she at least didn't hear whining coming from Jackson as she dragged him in. After glancing at the menu, Delilah ordered a savory crepe for herself and the pair went to sit down after receiving their orders. Delilah looked up as Jackson commented on the food choice and noticed his face when he actually took a bite. So the rich boy had never tried a crepe? she thought in amusement. She would've guessed that Jackson would've at least traveled to France already and tried on there. She couldn't help but wonder what other, simple staple foods he had yet to try. Had he even tried things like hot dogs and hamburgers?

She returned to her food when she heard Jackson groan and murmur a curse under his breath. Her eyes flickered to where he mentioned paparazzi and she couldn't help but internally groan herself. Sure, it was their job but she would've never guessed they were... everywhere. Of course, someone that wasn't a celebrity wouldn't know what it was like. Delilah had a feeling that she would soon be very familiar with it. Here goes my undercover identity, she thought, turning back to Jackson.

His... adoring gaze startled her for a moment, but she reminded herself what she was here to do and returned a warm smile. It was probably the first time she had smiled without mocking since having met him and to anyone looking it would've appeared genuine. What had she gotten herself into? You can do this. Just pretend, like you've been taught.

"I'm a good actress," she said in a low tone, a smile still on her lips and her hand reaching over the counter and brushing gently against his arm. Her instinct was to pull back, of course, but she needed to get used to this... interaction. Delilah heard him laugh and her mind actually froze, not sure of what to do and a little worry came over her. Yeah, she had an idea of what couples did but it wasn't like she had a lot of practice with it. And they hadn't gone over this sort of thing. The first outing and was she already failing? Delilah leaned over the table and added in a lower tone, "But you forgot to give me the script, Mr. Wolfe. I don't have practice with this sort of thing."

That was probably not going to help with his 'stress' but he had been so eager to leave the apartment that they didn't establish what they would do. She guessed him wrapping an arm around her hadn't been a bad idea, now that she thought back to it. But physical contact of this sort was just so odd for he.

Jackson was shocked that she had went along with it. It was part of her job he supposed, but he was surprised when she brushed her arm against his.

She reminded him however, that she wasn't used to doing these kind of things when she worked. With a shit-eating grin, he stood from his chair and scooted it next to hers. The loud scraping noise it made was sure to catch the attention of everyone around them. After sitting down, he casually threw his arm around the back of her chair.

Leaning in close to her as if he was telling her a secret he whispered, "I've got you covered."

Then with his free arm, he picked up her crepe and took a large bite out of it. "Hope you don't mind sharing." He said through a mouth full of food.

While they ate, he laughed, talked, and acted the part of adoring boyfriend. Normally he hated doting on women, unless he got something in return, but since it was pretend he was having a blast with it. It helped that Delilah was fun to tease.

It was dark out when they walked towards his house and he stuck to holding hands. He figured it would look more like a relationship that way. Jackson himself was more of an arm around the waist kind of guy, but if he wanted to convince the media that he was 'serious' about Delilah, then he needed to do things he hadn't done with other women.

Walking into the building where his penthouse was, he knew that the paparazzi would eat it up. He never took women to his house, he always went to their house or booked a hotel room. His home was his only source of privacy and he liked to keep it that way. That was a big reason why he was not happy about this whole bodyguard situation.

They got in the elevator, but stopped at the floor below where he lived to pick his dog up. Franklin was happy to see him and was licking his face all over as he held him. Jackson laughed at the Yorkie's enthusiasm. "I missed you too buddy."

Finally entering his penthouse, he sat Franklin down and let him run around the living room. Jackson slid his boots off by the door and walked on the hardwood floor in his black socks. He moved to sit on the black leather couch and his dog jumped up to sit beside him.

He turned his head back to look at Delilah. "So, I'm going to watch a movie or something..." he paused as a bright idea popped in his head. "Unless you want to try out the pool with me that is." His waggled his brows suggestively.

Delilah was about to give a cry of protest when she saw Jackson reach in to take her food. After all, Delilah could get pretty protective over her share but she gave a small smile. The rest of the time felt dragged out to her but she maintained the smiles and laughs, maintaining her perfect poise and even leaning in a little towards Jackson, despite her hating the short distance he had created when he scooted his chair. If it hadn't been her job, making her even more serious about this than she normally was, Delilah would've actually enjoyed this time instead of just playing along and, of course, feeling bothered whenever Jackson did something she wasn't expecting.

It was clear that the man could act as well but, finally, the day came to the end and they returned to his house. The paparazzi had managed to be around them no matter what and she just couldn't understand why people would care about this sort of thing. Why would they care who someone rich spent time with when there were people dying around the world and even in their own country?

After picking up the dog, Delilah stepped into the penthouse, glad that they were finally away from the view of the public. Since Jackson had made it so clear that he enjoyed his time alone at home, she had begun to head to the guest room. She figured that she could at least get away from him for a few minutes and give him -and give herself- the little privacy and quiet they both were surely craving, but she stopped as soon as he mentioned the pool. Although she did find it beautiful with the view, it wasn't that part that made her stop.

With a glance towards Jackson, Delilah walked to the edge of the pool. Taking off her sandals, she lowered herself and sat on the edge, submerging only her legs into the warm water. She sat there silent for a second. "I think it's obvious, but I really do hope you're not the type of client that thinks the bill pays for more than your protection, Mr. Wolfe," she said after a moment, glancing over her shoulder at the man, hoping that he understood her. Something told her, that despite him acting that way, Jackson wasn't like many of the powerful men she had worked for that thought she was paid to do literally everything.

She didn't let her heavy words stay in the air for too long, hoping that it was enough to get her message across. Turning back to take a look at the view at night and the city, Delilah added with a shrug, "I don't have a swimsuit, I couldn't get in either way. But don't let me stop you."
