"What exactly are you looking to hear?"

Willow, rather than her mother or sister, supports her "brother". Willow hates her older sister, the mother of Lucas. She also has an older brother she wishes she was closer to.

| Personality |

"You either like me or you don't. Simple as that."

Willow is extremely sarcastic. Practically every sentence she says has some sort of sarcasm in it. Her biting sarcasm is her way of keeping people out so they can't break past her walls. She loves to joke around with people, but her cold and distant demeanor makes it hard for her to connect with people. She doesn't have many friends because of this, but she values the ones she does have.

Willow does not trust easily. It takes her a while to let her guard down long enough for someone to really get to know her. By the time her walls come down, the person has moved on. She also doesn't let her walls down as a result of possibly being replaced. She finds no reason to let others in if they move on when they get bored. Because of her trust issues and doubt in others, Willow is a pessimist. She will be the first person to point out every negative detail in a situation or possible outcome. She cannot help it; it just happens.

Despite her negative attributes, Willow is extremely observant, has a tough skin, and is extremely loving. Willow listens more than she talks, and has a knack for picking out the little things in situations. She never misses a detail. Willow may seem heartless, but she has the kindest heart. She loves animals and children and will do anything for them.

| History |

"Why do you care?"

Willow had a normal childhood. She fought with her siblings, went to the playground, attended school, and had boy drama; nothing out of the norm. She was extremely close with her parents and siblings until age 15. The summer going into her 8th grade year, Willow's father left her family without a word. The girl never saw him again, but for some reason it never bothered her. When her dad left, life just continued.

Her sister, however, seemed to break. Her sister, Lila, the oldest of the bunch, was Daddy's little girl. Lila got everything she wanted and never had to worry about anything. When their father left, Lila started partying and sleeping around. She would do anything to feel loved. Sadly enough, it worked. It worked a little too well if anything. One morning Lila had severe pains in her stomach, so Willow, being worried sick, called an ambulance for her sister. Everyone rushed to the hospital in hopes to find out what was wrong with the oldest child. Daddy's little girl had gone into labor. No one knew what to do. She had never shown any symptoms, her stomach had never shown, and she had carried out her normal routines. How could this have happened? After Lucas had been born, Lila refused to keep him. She didn't want to be a mother, and even though everyone knew she was nowhere near qualified to be one, she should have let the mom raise it. Lila refused; she didn't want anything to do with the child. Willow could not stand to watch the scene in the hospital, so she told her family she would take care of the Lucas. Although no one believed she was serious, they did not object. So Willow became a mother.

Fifteen years old and with a child, Willow took her responsibilities more serious than ever. She raised Lucas as her own, went to school online, and worked a little later on to support her new son. Her mother helped out, but the responsibility of raising a child fell on Willow solely. She never minded. At the age of 17, Willow moved out of her mom's and got her own place. Since then, she has been raising Lucas like normal, even though she knows nothing about her life is normal.

Besides having Lucas, Willow knew something was different about her one day when she could hear Lucas crying. It was the middle of the night and Lucas started hysterically crying. She could not get him to stop with anything she tried. Nothing seemed to be working. It wasn't until she started to get frustrated that she heard Lucas tell her. She could hear what he was thinking, and the more she concentrated on hearing him, the clearer the message came. events like this happened many times when he would cry, but she never knew why. She had accepted the fact that she was different, but had been working with her abilities on the side, even though she had no idea how far she could go or what she could do with them.

Ophelia was practically having a party now. Talia and Cami were here and Nathan was on his way. To say that around other people would not be good. Especially if it caught on. "Let me check if Nathan is still coming." They might as well make this a sleepover. It would be easier on all of them. Then to go home late and then try to wake up for school the next day. Quickly, she typed out a message to her boyfriend.
[To: Nathan♥]
[MSG: If you are on your way. Lyles will let you in.]

The message sent and Lia tuned in one time to here her friend talk about the essay she had just finished. In the trio, Ophelia was glad, Cami was the one to care about school. Kept the others on track. "It's probably perfect. Much better than mine probably." It's not that Ophelia wasn't smart, she just didn't see the need to put the extra effort into stuff she didn't care about. Like English, History, Science, Gym. Stuff like that wasn't interesting to Ophelia. But she was a wiz at math. Something about numbers intrigued her. People say she is crazy, but Ophelia just calls it a passion. Like her passion for chocolate. Speaking of Chocolate, Lyles walked into the room. "Miss Landers. I believe Sir Nathan just pulled up. Will he be staying over as well?" Lyles knew Ophelia so well. "Probably. Let Nathan in please and hand him a box of snickers to bring up to the room, please?" Lyles nodded and left the room. "Is there a fifty percent chance either of you will skip school and come with me the animal shelter?" Ophelia wanted another cat, but she needed someone else to help her judge which one deserves to come home with Lia.

Greyson just smiled at his best friend and his daughter, soon reminded by why he had chosen Remi to be the godfather. It was like as soon as he held Kelsey, he was a whole different person. It was ridiculously adorable. As they left to her room, he got up and cleaned up the child things. He placed her coloring books back on the shelf. Her box of crayons were put in the top drawer. her princess costumes were put in the toy chest. And his coffee cup was washed and put away. By that time, Remi graced the father with his presence. "I invite you over and my daughter gets a better greeting. I'm hurt." He teased. Walking around Remi, he headed back to the living room. Greyson sat down on the couch and left room for Remi. "Alright what excuse do you have to explain your tardiness this time?" Greyson had a bright smile on his face. It was always good to see Remi.

Evangeline laid down on her bed and stared at her phone laying on the charger. Then she looked over at her window. Big enough to crawl out of and close enough to the ground to not break her dancer legs. Evie looked back at her phone and thought about her brother who was just down the steps. He would throw an absolute fit if he caught her sneaking out. And would possibly call the police if Evie was just missing. It was already late. Maybe she could have someone come and rescue her from her over protective brother. First she texted Willow.
[To: Firebird]
[MSG: Save. Me. Eric is driving me insane. x.x]

Next was Ezzie. Brother number two. She didn't even know if he was in the country. But maybe he could call Eric and calm his craziness.
[To: Ezzie]
[MSG: Bro #1 is being over protective again. Help.]

Eric stayed in the living room for a little while still trying to figure out what to do with his baby sister. She was driving him insane with her curfew thing. After turning off the tv and lights, he headed to his bedroom. He slowed down by Evie's room. He could hear her bed creaking, so he knew she was in there. He went up to his own room and shut the door. But as soon as he shut the door someone rang the doorbell. He checked the time and prayed that it was important. Eric got up and went back down to the living room. Flipping the lights back one he opened the door. There was a giant smile on his face. "Ezra!" He gave his friend a quick hug before pulling him inside. "When did you get back?"

Matthew was strumming the strings of his guitar for his four year old sister. She had just barged into his room and pointed to the guitar. Even though she could speak, she didn't need to. It was clear what she wanted. Madeline sat as his feet and he just continued to play. He finished playing and his sister clapped. "Encore." Matthew laughed. "No one. It is like pass your bed time. So shoo." He waved his hand. She pouted, but stood up. She gave Matthew a kiss on the cheek and then scurried off to bed. Matt just shook his head. He loved his baby sister, but she was always breaking rules in the house. Matthew put the guitar down and pulled his phone out. Talia was busy with her other friends, but he was bored.
[To: Talia]
[MSG: Entertain me Talia.]

That was all he sent. Either she would or she wouldn't.

Delaney saw Eva and smiled. Before Delaney could even say hi, her friend was pushing her out the door and Delaney laughed slightly. “Jeez, I didn’t know it was that urgent. Love you too, though.” Delaney shook her head slightly at Eva and gestured to the side of the house. “I left my bike on the side of the house. I’ll get it and you can ride on the pegs or something.” Delaney walked to the side of the house, leaving Eva by herself.

When she reached the side, she didn’t see her bike right away. She craned her neck and squinted until she saw her bike closer to the backyard. Odd, she thought. She walked and got her bike, kicking the kickstand back and rolling it alongside her as she went back for her friend.

She walked back around the house and took a step back when Eva wasn’t there. She looked around frantically. She had just been there a minute ago. Where could she have gone? “Eva?” She dropped her bike but never heard it hit the ground. She waited for the sound but it never came. She turned around. If she knew one thing, she wasn’t in the Newman’s front yard anymore. Where was Eva? Delaney ran her hand through her hair. “Eric’s gonna kill me..” She was more worried about where Eva was then where she was now. She sighed and tugged on the sleeves of her sweater nervously. Now what?

Nathan rolled his eyes at his girlfriend and wrapped an arm around her waist. Then Talia spoke up and he chuckled. ”Luckily, we don’t have that problem.” He turned his attention back to Ophelia. “I’m glad you’re not about to dump me over candy.” His eyes landed on Talia as she squealed about Greyson to Cami. Greyson Latier? Cami had a thing for him? Well, that was news. Nathan cocked an eyebrow and watched as Cami, at least her cheeks, turned slowly into a lobster. He had never seen her so embarrassed over a guy. In fact, Nathan didn’t think he had ever seen Cami flustered over a guy.

”Greyson latier, huh?” He looked at Cami amused. “I didn’t see that one coming.” He smiled as he said it, but he could feel his stomach twist slightly. He was glad Cami liked someone, but he couldn’t help but feel a little jealous.

Willow rolled over on her side and sighed. Half conscience, she ran her hand over the cool ground and inhaled. Lemon filled her nose and she came up short. She inhaled again. The scent was off, unfamiliar. She peeked her eyes open and stared at the pastel yellow walls opposite of her. She jerked up into the sitting position and looked around the room. She wasn’t home, so where the hell was she? She jumped up off the floor and looked at her watch; it read midnight. What was this place? Where was she? If she didn’t know where she was, then where was..

Oh my God. The panic started to bubble inside of her and she ran around the close to vacant room. She couldn’t find him anywhere and she could feel her chest tighten. “Lucas?” She would have screamed if her voice hadn’t given out on her. He had to be here somewhere. It’s not like she could have left and gone back home. She didn’t even know where she was! She bit her lip and blinked a few times; he wasn’t in this room.

Willow sighed and then heard a door creak. She turned her head to find Lucas peeking his head around the door frame he was in. “Lucas!” She exclaimed and ran over to him, swiftly picking him up in her arms and cradling him against her chest. “Where were you? I was so worried!” Lucas pulled on her hair and smiled up at her, pointing to the room he had been stolen from. “In there.” Willow looked into the room and then closed the door after seeing it to be nicer looking than the one she had been in. She hadn’t even seen that door she first time she looked at the walls. Had it just appeared? Nothing was making sense to her.

She hugged Lucas closer to her and he shifted in her arms. ”Mommy,” he whispered. ”Who’s that?” She looked at him and then slowly turned around to look where her son was looking. She paused when she came across a man with dark hair and tan skin. She bit her bottom lip softly. He was cute. Very cute. She pushed the thoughts away and took a cautious step forward to get a better look at the man across from them. “I’m not sure, honey.” She paused and raised an eyebrow at him. “Uh, who are you?” The question came out sharper than she had hoped, but maybe not sharp enough. After all, there was a random man in a mysterious room she had never been in before. Where did he come from? Had he been in there when she was looking for Lucas? She could have completely overlooked him; that was possible.

Damian finished cleaning about 10 minutes after he started. With the floor all clean and the scent of bleach and other cleaning products almost intoxicating, Damian left the warehouse and stepped into the crisp summer night. He inhaled and the air was like a brand new sensation. It was foreign to him, sweeter than usual. He exhaled and shut the door of the warehouse behind him. He turned back around and his surroundings were different; very different. He knew the warehouse inside and out, and where he was now was nowhere in that building.

He looked around the room he was being held in and walked around the perimeter of it, running his hand against the wall as he did so. The walls were cold; painted white concrete walls and white tiled floors. It looked like a room a mental patient got admitted to. Maybe this was some kind of joke, but he knew better. No one had approached him and kidnapped him. Like they could, he thought. No one ever went near him. He had turned around and appeared in this room. That was all he knew. He smiled to himself and leaned against the walls, right where they intersected. Maybe something else, or someone else, would come too.

Camila wasn't sure how she felt about Nathan knowing who she had a crush on, specially since he and Grayson were friends. She felt almost…guilty. She didn't know why. She had long since given up on having anything more than a friendship with Nathan. The final stamp on that was when he and Ophelia started dating. No guy would ever come between her and her friends, ever. Still there was that lingering feeling. Cami ' s red cheeks only worsened when Ophelia offered to put in a good word for her with Grayson. She would die if he ever found out how she felt. She looked down at the bed in embarrassment, but something looked different. It wasn't the bed anymore, it was a concrete floor. And she most definitely was not in Ophelia house. She quickly jumped to her feet and looked around terrified. Was this some kind of prank? No, her friend's wouldn't pull this on her, specially knowing how much of a scaredy cat she could be. So who was responsible? She took a few cautious yes forward but stopped when she heard a very familiar voice followed by a not so familiar and innocent one. It was Grayson, no mistaking it. As if things weren't already bad enough, now she was in an unknown place, alone with the guy she had a huge crush on and could hardly speak when around him. Cami felt her heart beat triple, but she continued walking, clearing her throat quietly. "u-um" she wasn't sure what to say, but maybe Grayson had an idea of what was going on.

Talia loved teasing her friend about her crush, but she was rather exhausted. She layed back down on the bed and closed her eyes as the others continued talking, and then everything just went silent. Had she missed something? Talia opened her eyes and immediately pushed herself up into a sitting position. She had no idea where she was but it sure as hell wasn't Ophelia's house anymore. "What the-? Guys? This isn't funny! I'm going to murder you all as soon as I figure out what the hell is going on!" she called out to absolutely no one. She looked around the room and saw many things, but an exit was not one of them. She grunted and began walking along the the walls of the entire space until she came upon something interesting. A single piece of paper placed on to of an empty desk. She picked it up to find a single word written on it. "Bookshelf?". She looked around and saw a small bookshelf in the far right corner of the room. Perhaps there was an explanation to what was going on hidden somewhere in all those pages. She put the paper in the pocket and began to investigate.

Remi was almost convinced that Grayson was playing a prank on him, but everything was far too elaborate for a prank. He slow began walking, looking for a way out, or in, but there was nothing. The suddenly and familiar voice that came from behind him made him pause. He turned around to see who he expected and sighed. Out of all the people he could be stuck in a room with, and it had to be Mathew. Not that he disliked Mathew. In fact, it was quite the opposite. Remi had started to like him so much that he couldn't seem to function properly around him. It's as if all of a sudden he forgot how to flirt or even act casual so he resorted to teasing and empty insults. With a huff, Remi folded his hands over his chest and walked closer to the boy, look down into his eyes. "Okay Mattie you have 5 seconds to explain what's going on" he stated coldly. He didn't think Mathew actually knew or had anything to do with the situation. He seemed to be as confused by it all as Remi was, but since his nerves were getting the best of him, he didn't have a clue what to say. The whole thing made him uncomfortable, and Remi was very rarely uncomfortable with anything.

Ezra stood quietly and watched as a small and very beautiful girl frantically searched for someone named Lucas. Had she been there when he first popped in? It was possible, since he was kind of in a haze. Finally a littke voice came out of nowhere and by the girl's reaction, he guessed that was Lucas. He watched quietly, not wanting to interrupt, and busied himself with studying the room until she spoke and demanded to know who he was. Ezra lifted a brow, unsure of how to respond. Under regular circumstances he would have smiled flirtatiously and quickly introduced himself, but the situation now was beyond regular. Still, seeing as they were stuck in the same room with no way out, he thought they should at least know each other's names. "Ezra Vargas" he said with a soft smile and playfully shook the boy's small hand. "You must be Lucas" he deducted. "Has anyone told you you're very handsome?". Ezra had always loved kids, maybe because he practically raised his sisters, but kids always seemed to get attached to him as well. Turning his attention from the boy he looked at the unknown girl and offered her a faint smile. "And you are?". Ezra was thankful for all the time his friends spent helping him with his English. Now his accent, though still very obvious, was at least understandable.

Delaney was thinking of how to get out of here and just where she was when she heard Eric’s voice. Oh crap! Not only had she been left with Eva, who disappeared, but now Delaney was stuck in a room with Eric, the boy she liked. Could anything else happen? Delaney sighed and shook her head at the boy. Now, how was she going to explain this to Eric and hope he didn’t get angry? “I, uh, I don’t know. I don’t know where we are or what happened. I went to get my bike and then I came back and Eva was gone and then next thing I know I’m here.” She almost whispered her explanation. She paused before continuing. “I’m really sorry.”

She took a step towards Eric and glanced around the room again. “This looks like one of those ‘escape the room’ missions..so, where do we start?” She didn’t mind being stuck in a room with Eric, not at all. If anything, she wish it happened more often. However, in a different room maybe: one with doors and didn’t give her the chills looking at. She scanned the bottom of the walls and the top, seeing if there was any crack or crevice they could pick their way through, but it seemed pretty held together from her view.

Nathan chuckled slightly as Ophelia reassured him, and then winked at her when she made the comment about the others missing out. His mind drifted to nights at Ophelia’s when it was just the two of them. The nights when they would be in her room teasing each other, and then teasing turned into doing, the way things would pick up between them but cool down before anything got out of hand. He grinned to himself and turned his attention back to his friend’s embarrassment.

It seemed as though everyone wanted it to happen, and Nathan tilted his head slightly, watching Cami. He liked seeing her get so flustered over a guy, and liked hearing how everyone was willing to pitch in. He could even put in a good word or two. After all, he and Greyson got along just fine. What he would say, he wasn’t entirely sure. It could be hard being wingman for a girl he still had a hint of feelings for, but he had Ophelia now. He had to move on and focus everything in the relationship he was in. Not that he already was, but he knew if he moved on from Cami things with Ophelia could be where they already should be. On the bright side, he could tease Cami about finding someone.

He smiled and looked down at Marbles, or where Marbles should have been. Maybe the kitten had moved without Nathan knowing. Nathan lifted his head again and when he did, he saw a blank wall ahead of him. He got to his feet quickly and looked around. His eyes landed on none other than his girlfriend. At least they were together. He sighed and walked over to her, putting an arm over her shoulders and pulling her close. “Any idea where we are?” He had a feeling she wouldn’t know. How could she? This wasn’t a room in her house, at least none that he had seen. The depressing atmosphere of it wasn’t like the rest of Ophelia’s house. Wherever they were, Nathan had a strange feeling they weren’t alone.

The man introduced himself as Ezra Vargas and Willow raised an eyebrow. So this was the Ezra that Eva had talked all about. The one that was like a brother to her and she saw only when he came to visit his cousin, Cami. Willow nodded her head slowly. He turned his attention to Lucas, who gladly accepted it. He enthusiastically nodded his head with a cheeky smile. "Yup! Mommy says I'm the most handsomest boy ever." His mother smiled and whispered in his ear. "That's cause you are, silly." Lucas turned himself more towards Ezra and Willow repositioned her arms around him, only to let him down seconds later. Lucas grabbed her hand and then reached another out towards Ezra. The gesture didn't surprise her, as her son was very open to everyone, but given the situation, she was surprised how comfortable he was.

Willow turned her head to look Ezra straight in the eye. "Willow. Willow Harmony Phoenix." She grinned a little as she continued to hold eye contact. To enter his mind, or to not invade his privacy? He had given her no reason to, but she didn't know what his intentions were. Being stuck in a room with a girl and her kid, if something were to happen..

Willow contemplated for a few seconds. She always got a thrill out of it, but she had better not. She turned her head and looked at where Lucas had entered. The door was missing and Willow sighed slightly. She looked back at her son and then at the handsome man next to her. "You can't blow out a wall by any chance, can you?"

Damian watched her. He watched the way she backed into him unknowingly, the way she covered her mouth, and more importantly the way she backed away from him. Terror. Absolute, sheer terror. The reaction brought an uncontrollable sly grin to his face. He took a slow, taunting step forward out of the shadows of the corner. “Hello, Evangeline. It’s a pleasure to see you here.” He kept walking until he was a foot or two from her. He was ready to corner her, but he knew not to just yet. She was delicate. A delicate little flower bud he had to pick from the weeds. He would provide for her and allow her to mature and blossom, just to watch her wilt and wither.

He smiled politely at her, and quickly assessed the situation. He needed to make sure no rash decisions were made. He could handle them if they were, but it would be an nuisance if so. Damian outstretched his hand slightly and gestured towards her. "You see, I was looking for you. I'm glad you found me. However.." he paused and withdrew his hand, folding his hands in front of him and returning to his normal, emotionless expression. "It seems as though we're trapped. Just us two. Isn't it lovely?" his voice was as smooth as velvet and he looked around the room, as if telling her to as well. He wanted her reaction. How would she react with him around and to what depth did her fear run? How much would it take for her to crack, just being in a room with him? How delicate was she really?

She was relieved Eric wasn’t mad at her. That was the last thing she needed right now. Eric mentioned moving the walls and Delaney nodded her head. “That could work. If you need help I could assist you, but that could only go so far.” With no existing plants in the room, Delaney knew if she were to help she would have to create vines herself and then use them. It would require a bit of energy, but anything to get out of this room. She could feel herself starting to get anxious. If Eric needed help she could wrap the vines around a portion of the wall and help pull, but she didn’t know if that would interfere with him moving the walls. She ran her foot along the floor and tried to sense any far off plant life in the nearby area. She sensed a plant directly below her, but how could she have that help them?

Nathan looked at Ophelia and thought. Did he have any idea to get out of here? They were trapped in a room with nothing but themselves and the very material creating the room. No, he didn’t have any; not in the slightest, but he knew they had the walls, the floor, and the ceiling. Unless they broke through one of those structures, then they were going to remain trapped. Would Ophelia be up to burning her way out with him? Nathan smiled the slightest at the idea and then pointed to the walls and floor. “We have options. Considering we’re not completely useless, we can work some magic, if you will. There’s the floor or a wall , and we can blow those out and leave through them. Or there’s the ceiling.” He looked at the ceiling briefly and then shrugged. “Which, frankly, I don’t feel like having debris hit me and then find a way out from there.”

He slid the arm around her shoulders out from around her and grabbed her hand. “We can tag team it. I’m going to guess you’re up to it since you almost set me on fire.” He smirked and outstretched his hand, palm down and fingers spread slightly. “What will it be, firecracker? The walls or ground?” He looked at his hand and concentrated. A small clear, glowing yellow, sphere formed. It was about the size of a small melon, and he gripped it tightly. He could feel the power tingle against his hand, and he packed the sphere more, allowing the size to remain but it to become denser. He hoped it was enough to blow either the wall or floor out, along with Ophelia’s power.

Ezra placed his hand on the wall and Willow watched him silently until he questioned who was behind this. She kept her eyes on his hand and then waved her free hand nonchalantly. “I don’t know who’s behind this, but just wait until I get my hands on him. He’ll be sorry.” Her voice drifted off at the end, turning into something of a scowl. She didn’t have any enemies that she knew of, at least, none that could pull something of this magnitude off. Place her in a random room with a stranger and Lucas? No, no one she knew could do something like that. Whoever had done it would get a taste of her. Not only had her sleep been interrupted, but Lucas was brought into this situation.

Willow walked over to where he was and placed a hand on the wall too. It seemed like a regular wall. No soft spot or easily penetrated point. “Well,” she tapped her knuckles softly on the wall. It wasn’t hollow. “If you can, you should. Don’t blow up the whole room, but a small enough space we could crawl out of. If I could do it, I would have already.” She paused and then turned her head to look at him. “My, abilities, if you will, aren’t exactly physical.” There was no reason to lie or put it lightly. As much as she didn’t want to admit it, but she needed him to break them out. There wasn’t anything in the room for her to move or throw at the wall or send through the floor. She looked down at Lucas who yawned. She grinned and ran her free hand through his hand.

He stepped towards her. She stepped back. It was quite entertaining. Damian let her have her space. He couldn’t come off too strongly. Not yet. He had to plant the seeds in her mind. These seeds would be the beginning. He grinned and looked at the wall and then the floor. “It seems you’re enjoying this as much as I am.” He chuckled and then frowned. “If you want to leave so badly, then why don’t you? I know what you can do.” Now Damian took a step forward. He needed to plant it in her mind, and it seemed like time. He didn’t know how much longer they would be together.

He needed her to know he knew just what she was capable of. “Sweet Evangeline, won’t you show me? Blow down the walls.” He took another step forward, outstretching his arms so if she tried to run he would grab her. “It’s beautiful, really. The way you can manipulate the air. Powers. Such a destructive thing, for such a pretty girl. Shame. I’d hate to see it be your downfall.” He beamed a vicious, gleaming smile at her and started to back up. He backed up all the way into the corner he had originally been in. Now it was a waiting game.

Delaney sighed. Eric couldn’t move the walls. There was no way for her to help. They were stuck. She sat down on the floor, pulled her knees to her chest, and wrapped her arms around them. How was it possible, that the walls didn’t react to Eric’s powers? Was there some greater force resisting it? Were the walls special and could withhold the power brought against them? It didn’t make sense. Nothing was adding up. “I don’t understand.” She shook her head slightly and looked up at him. “It’s like there’s a greater force keeping us here.” Delaney dropped one hand and slid it across the floor lightly. Under her fingertips, she could feel a slight vibration. Weird. She just stared at the ground. Maybe it will miraculously open up and free us. She knew no such thing would happen, but maybe she’d be surprised again. For the seemingly eightieth time today.

Ophelia chose the ground and Nathan smiled. “That’s my girl.” Together, they mixed each of their powers to form a small, probably deadly. force. The blue and yellow mixed to form a marvelous green color and Nathan couldn’t help but stare at it. He wondered how much it would hurt to get hit with. Hopefully he wouldn’t have to find out.

His girlfriend let go and Nathan watched as it hit the wall and sparked, but only to be flung back at them at an angle and bounce around the room. Instinctively, he wrapped his arms around Ophelia tightly and held her, adjusting so wherever the ball went, he always had his back to it. That was if anyone would be getting hit, it would be him and not Ophelia. “What the hell.” He watched in disbelief as it continued to bounce around the room. Yes, it was definitely something to fear being hit by. It kept bouncing around the room until it lost its momentum and the fire fizzled out. Nathan watched as his contribution broke apart from the flames and shot out in the room. When it stopped, he loosened his tight around Ophelia and looked her in the eyes. “Are you alright?”

Ezra lifted his hands above his head and Lucas grabbed onto Willow’s leg tightly, watching the him. He stood still for a few moments until his whole body was glowing. Willow looked around and then cocked an eyebrow as she watched him. “When did I step into Twilight?” She took a few steps back from him and dragged Lucas, who was in complete awe, away from the wall. Ezra placed his hands on the wall, and Willow turned, shielding Lucas from the incoming blast.

She waited a few seconds. Nothing came. She turned back and looked at him. “Well that was embarrassing.” Willow couldn’t help but grin. “Oh, I can’t even begin to imagine.” Willow was loving his embarrassment. A failed attempt. She shouldn’t be disappointed, but she was. Lucas, on the other hand, was loving it. “OOOOOH! Do it again! Again! Can I glow too?” Willow laughed and let him walk around her, back towards Ezra. “Oh, boy,” she muttered to herself. She looked at Ezra. “Any other ideas?”

She moved off the wall and walked towards the center of the room. Damian smiled greedily. He watched as she gathered air and he felt his breathing become shallow. There was enough air to breathe still, but there had been a significant cut back. She threw what she had accumulated, but the wall resisted it and it ricocheted back at her.

He chuckled dryly as she slumped to the floor. “Pity.” He emerged from the shadows once more, this time leaving roughly five feet between them. He folded his hands in front of him again and looked down at her. “What a pity. You have great potential. You just don’t know how to foster it. Truly, what a shame.” He continued to stare. She seemed to avoid eye contact as much as possible, and Damian loved it. It only made him want her more. He pictured her slumped against the floor beneath him, trembling, begging for her life. He grinned at her. “You know, Evangeline, you need someone. Someone to show you how to foster and release what’s inside you.” He bent down to her height, placing his weight on the balls of his feet. “I can see the sheer terror in your eyes. The way you look at me is flattering, but it doesn’t have to be this way.” He stood up and went back to the corner. In order for his words to sink in, she needed her space. She needed a clear head. He couldn’t have his offer slip out and be kicked aside. No, it needed to stick in her mind and consume her whole being. “A mentor. I could teach you, show you everything I know. Heaven forbid, if you were to ever vow revenge, you would be prepared. A lamb turned into a lion. A caterpillar turned into a butterfly. Such a process would leave even the best of us absolutely breathless.

Eric sat next to Delaney and she leaned herself against him. She rested her head against his shoulder. The act immediately calmed her. As much as Eric made her nervous, being around him also put her at ease. She was glad she was stuck with him, and not anyone else. She wouldn’t know what she would have done if she was with someone else. Maybe it would be alright. ”Since it seems we will be in here for a while, I wanted to um tell you something.” Delaney continued to look straight ahead. ”What is it?” As soon as she finished asking, the ground beneath them game out, and Delaney was crushed against Eric’s chest. She immediately wrapped her arms around him and braced herself.

The short distance had surprised Delaney, and she didn’t hurt at all. Maybe Eric had taken the damage. She looked him over quickly. He seemed fine, too. She sighed in relief and turned her head to see others. They were crowded around something, rather, someone. She craned her head until she saw who it was. Her hands tightened on Eric’s arm and she slowly got to her feet, shaking her head in disbelief. Talia lay there almost lifeless. Delaney needed to do something. but with Talia’s state, she didn’t look like she could swallow anything she could give her. Delaney frowned and stayed by Eric’s side, releasing when Eva joined them. She felt utterly helpless. Especially with people surrounding her, she wouldn’t be able to tend to Talia properly.

A sigh of relief escaped his mouth when she said she was alright. ”Let’s agree to never do again when we are in a closed space.” Nathan laughed and agreed. She was more than okay. She was doing well, given their current situation. It didn’t surprise her though, she was a fighter. She was a free spirit. Nathan was still smiling when the ground gave out beneath them. He quickly kept his hold on Ophelia as they fell, one hand on the back of her head and the other around her back.

Nathan took the impact of the fall for both of them, but it was very light. The landing felt as though he was coming down from jumping, not from falling through a ceiling with his girlfriend on top of him. She stood up and detached herself from him. Nathan remained on the ground, checking his body for any potential bruises or stiffness It may not have hurt, but it could have left some damage. He seemed to be fine. He stood up and finally took in his surroundings. He couldn’t help but stare in disbelief. He had never been a room so nice. It reminded him of Beauty and the Beast, one of the few movies Delaney had forced him to watch when he was not only a child, but during their weekly movies nights. He was still taking in the room when he heard someone crying. He turned his head to see it was Ophelia. He had never seen her cry before, at least not like this. No. This was something different. He immediately rushed over to her. Why was she crying? He didn’t need to ask. He saw as soon as he approached her. Talia lay in her arms, bloody and broken. He lifted a hand to his face and covered his mouth with it. Dear God... He placed his
free hand on Ophelia’s shoulder. He couldn’t do much else to comfort her, not with Talia in her arms.

Then others started arriving. Remi, Matthew, and Cami all approached Talia. Nathan couldn’t look, especially at Cami. It would break his heart to see her cry. Ophelia crying had already done it’s fair share, but Cami could make it worse. He averted his eyes and stared at the dying girl.

Willow watched Ezra allow Lucas to glow. Lucas was completely ecstatic. He could feel the energy surrounding him and squirmed as he struggled to keep his eyes closed. Willow just shook her her slightly and smiled, her thoughts running to what Ezra had said after his embarrassing attempt. A force field. Whatever had brought them together did not want them to leave, or at least break out before something could happen. What, she didn't know. Whatever it be it better not be something bad. She was still groggy and not in the mindset to deal with something bad.

Lucas opened his eyes and smiled with delight. "Oooh, now I'm like you! Mommy, why don't you glow?" Willow places a hand on her son's shoulder and was about to respond when the ground opened up and she was falling. She grabbed for Lucas about the same time Ezra did, reaching him only a second before. However, Ezra was strong and Willow and Lucas both ended up being pulled to him. The three hit the ground and Willow immediately checked Lucas. He happily stood up and walked to the other side of her, wanting her to get up. She shook her head slightly and got up. They had just plummeted from a ceiling and Lucas wasn't the least bit phased about it. Lucas tugged on her hand and he pointed to the small cluster of people in the center of the elaborate ballroom. It took her a few seconds to process what she was seeing, and when it did, she pressed her son's face into her leg and ran her fingers through his hair. She watched Remi cradle Talia in his arms and Willow couldn't help but want to comfort him. She was close with Remi. He was one of her best friends, and she had shared a decent amount of her time with Talia because of it. Why Talia, of all people? Someone so innocent and kind. The thought of someone hurting her made Willow sick. She closed her eyes and tried to suppress her anger. Unforgivable.

He had gotten to Eva, he could tell. She looked up at him after a while, ready to speak. This was it. She would accept and he would be one step closer to getting his final prize. He almost smiled, but it hadn't been confirmed. No need to celebrate just yet. She opened her mouth to speak, and then they were falling. Damian immediately changed the force of gravity. He outstretched his hand nonchalantly and leased the force so he lightly landed on the ground. He watched as Eva hit the ground and he smirked. If she was with him, she would know how to make split second decisions, how to maneuver her powers in such away that her reactions with them came as naturally as the instinct to scream. He place his feet lightly on the floor and then proceeded to walk to the darkest corner of the room, which was rather difficult considering he was now in a brightly lit, extravagant ballroom. He leaned against the wall causally and watched as everyone cried or watched. He recognized the girl as Talia. Yes, he knew her, along with everyone in the room. One of the perks from being an outcast was the way he could observe and intake information. Talia: close friends to Ophelia, Cami, and Matthew. Sister of Remi. Even if he hadn't know, it wasn't hard to guess. They were the most emotional ones out of everyone, and the resemblance between she and her brother was difficult to miss. He watched as Remi held her and Damian tilted his chin up slightly.

Damian remembered observing Talia, much as he now did with Eva. He would watch her, follow her, see what she could do. He knew she could manipulate magma. It was a marvelous gift, really. Pity. Just like Eva. If each knew how to use their powers they wouldn't need to worry about being hurt. Damian put his chin back down and glanced at Eva.

Ophelia allowed Remi to take Talia from her arms. Cami and Matthew joined her knelt down beside her. She felt as though she couldn't breathe. Who could do this to such a wonderful person? This wasn't fair. Nathan was close by in what felt like an attempt to comfort her, but she wasn't sad anymore. Shew as angry. Furious even. Ophelia's blood was boiling and she could feel her temperature rising. The unfortunate part about being of fire, when she is angry her abilities take over. They usually just make her hotter. It was why when Ophelia was angry something was usually set on fire. But she didn't say anything. The tears that were on her cheeks evaporated. The brunette knew she needed to calm down. She couldn't get someone hurt from how angry she was at this current moment. That was when someone just appeared and collected Talia. Ophelia was on her feet in an instant and before she could say anything Talia vanished. Miss Landers was about to scream, but she explained where she was. She couldn't really get mad over that.

Ophelia stayed near Nathan, but didn't touch him. She was still burning hot and she didn't want to burn him on accident. She tried her best to listen as Celeste spoke about what was going on. Why they were here. What the plan was. But only one name mattered. Kain. The bastard that hurt her friend. A person that needed to die. A tiny fire ball formed in Ophelia's hand. She wasn't creating it, it was just from thinking about the things she was going to do to Kain. He was at the top of her destroy list. When Celeste disappeared, Ophelia turned to Nathan. "We have to find him right now. I have to kill him."

Greyson didn't know what to do or how to help Remi. His sister was on the verge of death and he couldn't bring him back. The mood of the room was depressing. He wished their was something he could do to make it better. But that would mean going back in time to protect Talia. Only problem with that is that he can't go back in time. Then a random collected Talia from Remi. Greyson didn't really think that was a good plan, but as she explained where she was sending Talia he thought otherwise. Celeste seemed to really care about Talia. As if she raised her. As Celeste continued to speak, Grey made his way towards his best friend. It was just to keep him from doing something stupid to himself or to someone else.

Kelsey was standing very close to her father, afraid to look at her godfather. He was so distraught that it made her sad to look at him. Greyson looked at Celeste when she called his name. He couldn't believe that he was a leader. The only thing he has ever been in charge of was his daughter and sometimes Remi depending on the state hew as in. Right now would be one of those times. Celeste left and his focus was back on his best friend. "Remi?"

Eric and Evangeline felt bad for the fact they weren't as sad as the others. They felt awful that Remi almost lost a sister, but they weren't that close to her or her family. But Eric could only imagine what it would be like if the same thing happened to Evangeline. So they just kept quiet and watched. Eric saw Delaney just stand still so he left his sisters side to comfort his blonde crush. He knew that she was used to helping people, but this was one person she couldn't help. Eva went over to Willow. She knew that Willow was friends with Talia and she could only imagine was going through her head. Lucas seemed confused and sad for the fact that his mother was affected by the situation. Eva ran her fingers through his hair and stood close to Willow.

There was someone that collected Talia and sent her to the infirmary. Then she explained everything. From their abilities to Lord Kain. Eva thought it was nice that she and her friends weren't the only ones with this burden. Then Eric's name was mentioned to be leader. Eric didn't mind of course, but Eva did. That gave him more reason to control her life. She would love to have complained to Celeste, but she was gone. Eric looked over Delaney. "Are you alright?" He was genuinely concerned for her. Eva didn't say anything to Willow. She was waiting for her best friend to speak first.

Image

There was a sliver of hope in Matt's eyes when Remi started to speak to Talia. But was quickly replaced with sadness when she didn't respond. Not even a twitch of the finger. The blonde boy just continued to cry silently. His best friend was hurt and he didn't know what to do. It was like he forgot how to function in life. He wasn't one to cry in front of people, but he didn't care. They were unimportant. Talia was just taken from him. Someone came and took Talia. Matty couldn't even move to see who it was. All she said was that Talia was in the infirmary to recover. But Matty didn't think that was enough. He needed his best friend now.

Celeste spoke about their abilities and what was going on. The name Lord Kain was thrown out there and it stuck with Matthew. Kain ruined him. Messed with Talia. And indirectly got to Remi. He was so hurt and angry. Matthew just kept quiet. He brought his knees to chest and hid his face. He didn't want to talk to anyone. He didn't want to be bothered. Matt wanted Talia back. Celeste disappeared and he continued to sit there. Completely devastated.

Delaney continued to watch, her eyes on the ground near Talia but not directly on her. It was hard for her to look. She wasn’t bothered by her condition or state she was in, but the way others were crouched around her and the solemn atmosphere of the room. Just then, a woman appeared out of thin air. She walked towards Talia, and soon she was gone. Delaney wildly looked at her. Why would she do that? The woman explained who she was and where Talia had been sent. Delaney just listened quietly. relieved Talia was being sent somewhere to be taken care of. She made a mental note to go and visit her later. She could help heal her, and it would be good practice for her.

The woman, Celeste, brought up Lord Kain and Delaney looked down at her hands. An evil galactic lord? She meant, they would actually have to fight him? After what he had just done to Talia? No way. Delaney sighed right when Celeste brought up training. Woah, woah, woah. She looked up quickly, trying to register what was going on. An evil galactic lord Kain..train to fight him..possibly end up like Talia. Before the words could set in her mind, Eric was by her side. “Are you alright?” Delaney stared at the ground for a few seconds before turning her head to look at him. “Correct me if I’m wrong, but we’ve been chosen among millions of others, to fight against some evil galactic lord and face death while doing so?” She shook her head. The request was ridiculous. If she helped, she saved millions of lives. If she helped, she faced losing those she loved.

Nathan had his hand on Ophelia’s shoulder roughly two seconds before he yanked it away. Bad idea. He could feel the heat radiating off of her body. He took a cautious step back and kept his eyes on her at all times, in case she did anything rash. That was the last thing everyone needed right now. A woman appeared, took Talia away, and explained why everything was the way it was. Nathan listened carefully. Everything started to add up slowly, but some blanks were still left. Maybe they could be filled in over time.

Ophelia turned to him swiftly and declared they had to find Kain, the one who had nearly killed Talia. Not only did they have to find him, but she had to kill him. Nathan looked at the fireball involuntarily forming in her head and he outstretched a hand towards her, enough not to get burned, but close enough where she could feel the heat. “Absolutely not. I’m sure everyone here right now would love to get their hands on him, but you can’t go after him and expect to kill him when you’re running off your emotions.” Nathan tried to calm her down, but he knew how she got when she was angry. She’s a wild fire and will take down everything in her path. Whatever it takes. He shook his head slowly and planned out his words before speaking them, his voice low and stern.. ”We already have someone on the verge of dying. We don’t need another person in that situation.”

Eva appeared at Willow’s side and Willow shook her head angrily. Her nerves were shot. “I can’t believe this.” Willow let her hand drop to Lucas’ shoulder and he wrapped an arm loosely around her leg. She looked at him, trying to remain calm. She needed to stay calm if she wasn’t going to make the situation worse. She wasn’t going to put Lucas in harm’s way; she had to remain calm. Not to mention there was another child in the room, who from the looks of it, belonged to Greyson.

A woman appeared, Talia disappeared, and Remi started screaming. Remi. Willow turned to Eva. “Can you please look after him? I need to go..” Her words drifted off, and she was already unwrapping Lucas from her leg. “Mommy’s gonna go to Remi for a second. I’ll be right back. Aunt Eva is going to stay with you, okay?” Lucas looked up at his mother and nodded, staying quiet. He could tell something was wrong and kept his mouth shut. He was handed off to Eva, and he lifted his arms up towards her. Willow left the two and made her way to Remi, who looked possessed at this point. She blinked in shock. She had never seen her friend like this in all the time she had known him. Then again, Talia had never been like this before. She continued to cross the floor, and it seemed every step closer she got, the more ballistic Remi became. She needed to calm him down.

She closed her eyes briefly, clearing her mind and concentrating. As soon as she relaxed, she heard everyone. Their thoughts raced through her mind, but they were far off and distant voices, but she singled out her best friends. His was loudest right now. She opened her eyes and held the connection with him. “Remi,” she kept her message soft in his head. “I need you to calm down.” She knew that would be fruitless, considering the state he was in, but she needed him to hear her. She didn’t want to tamper with his emotions, but if it came down to that, she would. She waited for a few seconds and nothing. She could feel the energy he was accumulating and she huffed. This was not good. If he kept it up, he could injure everyone around him. She opened the link up more, allowing his emotions and mind to completely open up inside her own. His emotions hit her like a brick wall. Her head immediately throbbed and she put and hand to her temple. Negative emotions were everywhere. Sadness, pain, frustration, anger. It was so overwhelming she had to close the link between them. She had never felt anything like that before. She put a hand on her gut. Her lungs burned; she didn’t know she had been holding her breath. It took her a second to recoop.

When she could breathe, she walked over to him swiftly, closing the gap between them in a few seconds. She took a place besides Greyson, and grabbed Remi firmly by his left arm. “Remi!” She grasped his arm and glanced to check neither child was looking. She brought her hand swiftly across his face and stepped back. She hoped that would do it.

A figure appeared between the group and took Talia away. The woman identified herself as Celeste, and it seemed as though she had known them all for a while, including him. Damian watched her. He didn’t like her. The way she just appeared before everyone and immediately took control of the situation. On what authority was she acting? If she was so important, why was this the first time she had shown her face to any of them? He didn’t like her, but he couldn’t help but be impressed. Not everyone could act the way she had under pressure.

He turned his head to get a better look at her. She seemed sad by the sudden turn of events, just like the others. “You were all hand picked by celestial beings to carry on celestial duties on Earth. Including stopping Lord Kain. …. You will all have to train and master your abilities in order to defeat him.”

Lord Kain..interesting.. He, along with the others, had been picked, out of the billions on earth, to defeat him. He stared at the group in front of him. He could almost smell the weakness radiating off of the others. Damian knew he could take on the challenge, with or without the others. He didn’t need them. However, he would enjoy training. He could see what the others were actually capable of. He knew what they could do, but not to what extent. It was the same with Eva, although he had gotten a taste of that earlier. He didn’t want to train with Eva in front of the others. No, because there would be others to intervene, and that would not be acceptable. Being interrupted during his time with Eva would call for pain to those interrupting them. Damian started running through lesson plans when his thoughts were interrupted by Celeste. Eric, Ezra, Remi, and Greyson were to lead. Damian chuckled darkly. Like he would listen to them. They could try to control him. They could try to instruct him. They had authority appointed by a random woman. How legitimate was it? Damian stood up straight, taking his back off the wall. At least he could look forward to training, even though participation was questionable.

The only thing in her head was the different ways she could rip Kain limb from limb. Each way resulted in burning his the pieces so that there was no way they could come back together. She could only imagine that by the way Remi was screaming, he would assist her in her quest. Camila and Matt seemed quite useless at the moment. She wouldn't ask for either of their help anyway. The last thing she would need is for them to complain about the murder of someone. And she thought that Nathan, her boyfriend, would support her decision one hundred percent. Absolutely not. That was all she heard from him. There was probably a really good reason behind why Ophelia shouldn't go out and kill the person that practically killed Talia. But she wasn't listening. Her boyfriend had just told her no. If Nathan was trying to calm her down it wasn't working at the moment. "But I-I have too...Talia...and Kain..." Ophelia wasn't making any sense.

Ophelia and Nathan made eye contact as he spoke for a second time. ”We already have someone on the verge of dying. We don’t need another person in that situation.” He wasn't messing around. The fireball in her hand disappeared and she slowly started to calm down. If she didn't care so much about him, she would have just taken him down as well. Ophelia would get her revenge, but not right now like Nathan said. If something bad happened to her it would just be bad. Two people down. Her body temperature lowered and returned to its normal state. Ophelia looked down at the ground before reaching out and hugging him. She wouldn't have hugged him if she thought she would hurt him. The brunette had a head ache and was actually quite tired. Being furious really took a toll on her. An involuntary yawn escaped her.

Greyson did not know how to calm down Remi. He exploded the moment Celeste left. In all his years of knowing Remi, he had never see him get so angry. It was like he was possessed by something of pure rage. Kelsey was absolutely terrified. But she didn't have anyone to turn too. Her babysitter was whisked off to the infirmary. "Remi you need to relax. You can't just venture off and kill a galactic Lord." Greyson was good with speaking reason, but he didn't think reason would work right now. He could blast Remi with a wave of cold water. That should shock him. Or just make it worse. Willow came over and seemed to try and help Greyson with the angry Remi situation. Greyson thought about kissing Greyson for a moment when whatever mind trick Willow did clearly didn't work. But she had a different idea.

The smack was rather loud. That should be pretty efficient in getting Remi out of the state he was in. Kelsey hid her face in her father's leg as they just sat an waited. "Really Willow. Violence?" Greyson was only teasing to lighten the mood and unfreak out his daughter.

Eric didn't know what to make of this entire situation. Everyone was reaction differently to the news that Celeste had just given them. It was late and this was a lot of information to take in. Maybe it was time everyone just went to sleep. Especially the ones who were deeply affected by Talia. He would tell them that, but he was going to hold off on that for a little while. “Correct me if I’m wrong, but we’ve been chosen among millions of others, to fight against some evil galactic lord and face death while doing so?” If there was a better non crazy way of explaining all that he would explain it that way. But the way Delaney explained it was exactly what was going on. "I know its weird. But it might not be coincidence that only we have abilities." Eric just thought they were lucky or had an extra chromosome somewhere. But that didn't seem to be the case.

Evangeline didn't know what to do with Willow. She was angry. So angry. Even Lucas was a bit afraid. She left him with Evie when she went to go and deal with Remi. She looked at Lucas with a small smile before squatting. Evangeline wanted to take his mind away from what was going on at the current moment in time. "Did you practice the dance moves I taught you last time I saw you?" Lucas smiled wide and nodded. Pulling out her phone she started playing a song on a low level. She didn't need everyone to pay attention. Then she started dancing with Lucas.

Matthew heard Remi. Screaming and throwing a fit. He wanted to get up and help him. Help him feel better. Tell him everything was going to be alright, but he didn't believe it himself. Talia was gone. She wasn't dead, but it felt like she was. Celeste whisked her away and Matthew was left with nothing. Just a bunch of teenagers who were supposed to defeat the person that harmed his best friend. Although his crush was in need, Matthew just couldn't move. If his guitar was here, he wouldn't even play it. There was a loud smack and Remi just stopped. The situation must have been handled. Tears were forming in Matt's eyes again so he stood up and walked away. Matthew left the group to find the exit.

He needed to clear his head. There was so much going on at the moment. Lord Kain. No Talia. Training. Saving people. Matthew did not sign up for this. Not all in one day. He just kept walking, getting lost in some unknown hallway. But it felt nice not to be where Talia was left to die. the blonde wrapped his arms around himself and tried not to cry. Crying would not bring his Talia back. So he started to sing instead. "Are you, are you, Coming to the tree? They strung up a man They say who murdered three." He wiped the tears falling from his face. "Strange things did happen here. No stranger would it be. If we met at midnight. In the hanging tree."

Camila could hardly contains her tears, not that she was even trying. The thought of Talia dying and not ever getting to see or speak to her or even be teased by her ever again made her tears come even faster. Ezra held her tightly, as if she would break is he let her go, and they stayed that way for several long minutes. Cami could hear Remi yelling, and it only made things worse. She could only imagine how he felt. If she felt this horrible and Talia wasn’t even her family, she could only imagine what was going through her brother’s mind right now. He had every right to yell and be angry and cry. Finally, Cami gathered the courage to stand up straight and wiped her tears. Her eyes were puffy, as if she had been crying all night, and her nose a bit red.

Ezra couldn’t help but to be worried about her. ”She’ll be okay...”. Though he said, he didn’t know for sure himself. The damage done to Talia’s body was the work of a savage, and odds of her surviving something so brutal were almost none. He couldn't say this to Cami, of course. He had to stay positive for her sake, and everyone else that needed it. It seemed like Talia’s brother would be needing it the most. Ezra watched as the scene played out in front of him. Willow’s hand smacked into Remi’s face and he immediately stopped. He watched as Remi’s expression changed from rage to shock to completely devastated. Ezra wasn’t sure how close they were, but judging by the look on Willow’s face, she must have been close to Talia as well. Ezra stayed near Camila. She needed him, even if he couldn’t do much. He slowly led her back to where everyone was gathered, keeping an arm around her shoulders.

Cami was exhausted. All the crying had taken a big toll on her. The sounds of despair and rage in the room hadn’t helped the situation. She quietly followed Ezra to the rest of the group, keeping her head down. She only glanced up for a minute and saw Ophelia in Nathan’s arms. Cami’s legs felt weak. She eventually made eye contact with her best friend and her stomach sunk. It was like witnessing the crime all over again. Cami could feel the lump in her throat slowly forming again.

Remi’s heart was beating so fast he was on the verge of a heart attack. He couldn’t see or think clearly, all he cared about was being with his sister. He needed to see her. What if she didn’t make it. What if she died, and wasn’t there to say goodbye? The energy inside Remi’s body only grew. He could hear WIllow and Greyson attempting to calm him down, but it was useless. He was...there were no words to describe how he was feeling. He never imagine he could feel so many negative things all at once. He could feel another scream building in his throat, and that’s when he felt a hand hit his face. He blinked a few times, a couple of tears rolling down his face, and stared at willow with round eyes. The negative energy in his body slowly began to settle down, causing the red glow to dissapear and his eyes to return to their usual color. A sudden wave of exhaustion washed over him, and he wanted nothing more than to let himself drop on the floor and lay there for a while. Maybe forever. He let out a shaky sigh and looked at the ground. Greyson was still beside him, and he commented on Willow’s aggressive way of getting his attention, but he was grateful. He wiped his eyes with the back of his hand and looked up at her, muttering a thank you that was almost too quiet to hear. He then quietly turned around, making eye contact with his best friend for a brief moment before placing a hand on his shoulder and giving him a silent thank you. He didn’t have to say anything out loud. Greyson would just know. He looked down at Kelsey, she was terrified, and it was mostly his fault. He thought it best not to approach her now. He’d apologize to his god-daughter later. He continued walking, stuffing his hands in his pockets, and stepped out the first door he found. He caught a glimpse of Matty on the way out, his eyes began to swell again but he quickly blinked them away. He had to get out. He had to get away from everything for a while. He kept walking, he didn’t know where he was going, but he didn’t care.

Coincidence? Delaney shook her head. That wasn't even a possibility to her. There was no way she, her cousin, and all their friends or people they knew happened to have special abilities. They were all from the same area, basically went to the same school, and living near each other. This was planned. “Not at all. There’s a reason why we were chosen and not other people, and frankly,” She turned her body so she was facing him completely. ”I don’t think I want to know.” The reason why they had been chosen was a story for another day, one she would maybe listen to after whatever needed to be done was done. Delaney turned her head and yawned into her hand. She blinked and turned back to Eric.

Exhaustion hit her and she tried to shake it off. She glanced around the room looking for a clock. She was surprised she couldn’t find one. It had to be late. It had already been late when she went to Eric and Eva’s, so what time could it have been now? It had to be early in the morning. “Would it be rude to leave and try to find a bed?” She whispered quietly to Eric, not wanting to disrupt those still grieving. She hoped he would say yes. She wanted to talk to him even though she was so tired.

Ophelia reluctantly calmed down and Nathan couldn’t be more relieved. He knew she had been about ready to tear the room apart. He watched as the fireball disappeared and he could feel the heat radiating off her body weaken. Good. She’s back. He grinned at her, and his smile only widened when she wrapped her arms around him. She was just ready to murder someone, and now she was back to her loving self. Oh, how she never failed to impress him.

He held her and stayed like that until he heard a yawn escape from her. Despite the situation, he let out a barely audible chuckle. He pulled back slightly, placed a hand on the side of her face, and let his thumb stroke her cheek. ”Someone’s tired.” He looked at the exists and then back at his girlfriend. It seemed as though some were already making their way out of the ballroom. He watched as Mattie left, soon followed by a now calm Remi. Nathan looked at Willow and made a mental note to catch up with her later. He needed to talk to her, and also thank her for saving a possessed Remi. He turned his attention back to Ophelia. ”Why don’t we try to find you a bedroom? There has to be one in here somewhere. It’s late, anyways.” It had to be around 2, maybe even 3 in the morning.

The slap was way louder than Willow had anticipated. Willow smacked him and it seemed as if the room froze. Willow just stared at her best friend. Snap out of it already, she thought. It was Greyson who spoke first. ”Really Willow. Violence?” Willow looked at him, and then down at Kelsey. She looked terrified. Willow felt bad for scaring her, but it couldn’t be helped. Remi was on the verge of completely losing control, and someone had to step up. Willow opened up a link between her and Greyson, ignoring her throbbing head. “You should have seen what was in his head.” She could still feel the presence of his negative emotions, and she tried her best to forget about them but couldn’t.

She saw Remi snap out of it and she gave herself a mental pat on the back. He mouthed a thank you to her, and she gave a nod. “It’s what I’m here for.” She sadly smiled, answering both Remi and Greyson with her comment. She didn’t want to leave Remi by himself, and she tried to follow Greyson’s lead with teasing. How effective it was, she couldn’t even imagine. She heard the soft sound of music and she turned her head to see what, or who the source was. She saw Eva and Lucas dancing and she couldn’t hold back the smile taking over her face. Maybe she could get Eva to teach Lucas everything she knows.

By the time Willow looked back, Remi was gone, and her eyes landed on Ezra and Cami. It seemed as though Cami’s eyes were elsewhere, and she followed them over to Nathan and Ophelia. Willow knew how Nathan felt towards Cami, but she didn’t know how Cami felt towards him. Maybe there was emotionally something between them stronger than friends. Willow turned on her heels and went back to her son and Eva’s dance session.

Ophelia was happy to be embraced by someone. She definitely needed the hug. Nathan always seemed to calm her down in her ugliest moment. She would have to remember to thank him when they weren't surrounded by so many people. But he released her when he saw how tired she was. It was emotional exhaustion. But tired was still tired. He sounded like her parent when he suggested that she went to bed, but she only nodded in agreement. Sleep was necessary. In the morning she would try and find the infirmary where Talia is. Then she will tell her all the violent thoughts she has of Kain. Maybe Talia would wake up if Ophelia went in full detail about what she wanted to do to the bastard. Another yawn escaped her as she ran her fingers through her hair. Just then she made eye contact with her other best friend. Someone that had also just lost Talia. Camila definitely needed a hug. Breaking away from Nathan completely she wrapped her arms around Cami and held her tight. Ophelia wasn't going to cry, but she would hold Cami for as long as she needed. Ophelia may not seem like she cares about people, but when it comes to those she is close too she would do anything for them. She ran her fingers through her best friends hair. "Nathan was going to help me look for somewhere to sleep. You should do the same." Her voice hushed. Sleeping this off would be good for both of them.

Greyson was glad that he hadn't seen the inside of Remi's head. Whatever was in there had compelled Willow to smack him. if he was in there he might have been to scared to try anything. Grey couldn't have been more grateful to have his bestfriend back. Or near back. In his eyes he was grateful, but he was still mourning. He just let Remi walk out. There was no point in making him stay and get over it. In the morning he would try to talk to him. But right now he just needed some time to himself. Greyson watched Willow walk back over to her group of people and he looked down at his daughter. Although still terrified, she was tired. The father picked up Kelsey. "Let's fine somewhere to sleep." he whispered to her. He quickly left the bedroom in search of somewhere for him and his daughter to sleep. The mansion was big and he wasn't in the mood to get lost. Greyson just started checking every room until he found one that was good enough to sleep in.

Eric could tell that this was just too much to handle at this current moment in time. For anyone. He watched Matthew, Remi, and Greyson walk out of here. They must have been looking for somewhere to sleep this off. To think about it. Eric should be doing the same. Delaney was tired as well. She thought it would be rude to leave and find somewhere to sleep. Although he wanted to spend more time with her, sleep was more important than his love life. He shook his head. "No. You should get some sleep." He said to her. Looking around the room, he just saw a bunch of sad and mourning teenagers. So he decided to address the group. "How about he all get some sleep. It's clearly been a long day and there is stuff we all need to think over." He wasn't telling them to go to sleep. Eric was just suggesting that they did. His attention went back to Delaney. "I will look with you." Eric would like to sleep as well.

Evangeline turned the volume up to the music after the slap. She wanted to keep Lucas' attention on her not on what her mother was doing. The plan was working. He was having fun and Evie was being a good temporary babysitter. Even though she was laughing with him she was concerned for Willow. She was mourning and angry. That wasn't a very good thing for someone like her. With the ability to tap into minds she could only imagine what was going through Willow's. It must be a wreck. Especially after dealing with Remi. Once that situation ceased, Willow came over to where they were. Eva stopped the dance session and pointed to Lucas' mother. He smiled and hugged her tight. It was like he hadn't seen her four weeks. The dancer smiled and stood up straight. She heard her brother suggest that everyone get some sleep. She rolled her eyes. Eric was already implementing his leadership duties. But he wasn't wrong. Sleep was going to be the only part of their days that make sense. "I will go with you to find a room." She said to her best friend.

Matthew finished his song, but he didn't stop wandering. He didn't want to go back to the group of people in the ballroom. He stopped looking for the exit and he was trying to find the infirmary. Matt just got lost. He didn't know where to go so he just let his feet drag him around. His thoughts went to Remi as he walked around. Matt couldn't imagine what he was thinking. He could potentially lose a sister. Matthew then felt bad for not being there for dealing with his rampage. But Matt was almost afraid to be yelled at. He was so fragile at this point. Eventually he would apologize to Remi for not being there. But not right now. Not today. Just then he crashed into another person. The dazed blonde stumbled back and looked at who it was. It was Remi. The person he was just thinking about. Eye contact was made, but Matthew didn't say anything. He just looked back down at the ground.

Delaney couldn't be more relieved when Eric turned his attention to the whole group and brought up getting a good night's rest. So he was in agreement with her, and it wouldn't be rude. She looked around and saw how worn out and defeated everyone looked. Yes, some sleep was definitely needed right now. She could feel her shoulders start to sag in her posture and she smiled at Eric. He would come look for a room with her and they could talk more tomorrow. Maybe during training, whatever that consisted of. She knotted her fingers and started towards the exit with Eric by her side. She didn't tell anyone where she was going. She would see them all tomorrow.

The hallways were long and confusing and after a while, each hallway blended into the next and Delaney couldn't even keep track of where she was. The mansion was a maze and there were millions of doors she didn't feel like checking individually. At least she was with Eric. If she had gone with anyone else, she would have been complaining out pouting by now. She kept her face placid and watched the halls blended into one another as they walked. "This place is enormous." She didn't mind just walkin around, potentially lost. She got to spend more time with Eric. It wasn't bad at all.

Nathan willingly let Ophelia go to Cami and Ezra. He watched as the two girls embraced and he looked around the room. Just then, Eric suggested everyone better get some rest. At least Nathan wasn't the only one with that idea. It was odd knowing Eric, Ezra, Remi, and Greyson were going to be in charge. He never thought he would see them instructing others. He was glad they were picked though. They would be good leaders. Nathan just hoped Remi would be okay. He couldn't even imagine the pain he must be feeling.

He glanced around the room and watched the others. He saw Willow standing with Eva and he thought about going over to her. He knew Lucas would be happy to see him, and he had to talk to the boy's mother anyways. He could talk to her while he waited on Ophelia. Cami looked pretty bad, if not terrible from devastation, and it could take his girlfriend a while to calm their friend down. Cami started crying again and Ezra left his cousin alone with Ophelia. He walked over to Willow and Nathan decided just to talk to her in the morning. Lucas was looking worn out, and Willow didn't look too hot herself. It had been a long day.

Willow was glad to see Lucas having fun in such a stressful situation. Eva had kept him busy and she couldn't be more grateful. She didn't want her son to see her being violent, especially with those he was close with. What would he think if he had seen her hit Remi? She came back over and Lucas tightly wrapped his small arms around her leg. She smiled and when she looked up to thank Eva, Ezra was right next to them. She hadn't seen him walking towards them, but she didn't mind. "I'm going to help Cami find a room or some sort of place to sleep, so I'll see you tomorrow." Willow nodded her head. "Good luck trying not to get lost. I'll see you then." He then leaned down to Lucas and asked to play with him tomorrow. The little boy smiled excitedly."Well, duuhhh!". Willow returned the small smile Ezra gave her, and then he was gone again.

Eric made an announcement and Eva's voice snapped Willow out of it. "I will go with you to find a room." Willow nodded. "I'm fine with that. Thanks, for watching Lucas." She was glad Eva was so willing to look after him. Lucas yawned and Willow could feel her son's grip loosen around her leg. She leaned down and put her arms underneath his armpits, lifting him up into her arms and holding him against her chest. "Come on buddy, time for bed." Lucas wrapped one arm lazily around her neck and leaned his head on her shoulder. She could hear and feel his breath become more shallow, and she turned to Eva. "Let's go. The sooner, the better."

Camila cried for a little while as her and Ophelia hugged. The pyromaniac had run out of tears, but she was still a bit sad for what had happened to Talia. And she was also tired. Just physically and emotionally exhausted from today's events. A nap was definitely needed. Eric, one of the leaders, also said that everyone should get some sleep. Discussing this tomorrow was a given. Ophelia would try and find Talia tomorrow. She would have too. She needed reassurance to know that her best friend hadn't just died. Ophelia pulled away from her other best friend, but they lingered near each other for a moment. It was almost like a silent 'it's going to be okay' moment. "We will talk tomorrow." Ophelia said with a tiny smile. Then she went back over to her boyfriend. She reached and held his hand tight. When it seemed like he was ready to go, she walked with him to find some place to sleep. She was so grateful to have him here. She didn't know what she would do if he wasn't. Ophelia might have gone to get herself killed. "Can you sleep with me tonight?" The brunette honestly meant sleep this time. Tonight she just didn't want to be alone. Her head was resting against Nathan's shoulder as she waited for an answer. She wouldn't be upset if he said no.

Everyone seemed in agreement with Eric's idea to get some sleep. Even his sister who was clearly annoyed with the idea of her brother in charge. He would talk to her tomorrow. Delaney was ready to get some shut eye and Eric was ready to help. They left the ballroom and immediately got lost. The entire thing was like a maze. Every hallway led to another even more confusing hallway. Delaney was just as confused. He nodded at her enormous comment. "Come on. Bedrooms have to be somewhere." Subconsciously he reached out for Delaney's hand. He held it as they continued walking around. It was something he does when he doesn't know where he is and he doesn't want to lose a person. Since he already had her hand, he didn't feel the need to let it go.

Evangeline was tired. It was official. She was dead tired. Sleep was necessary and she was about to just get a piggy back ride from her brother. But he disappeared. Ezra was going with Cami. Greyson was no where in sight. And Willow needed to carry Lucas. Evie would get one from Damian, but she was afraid that he would take her somewhere else. Also she is still afraid of him. She would just walk. It won't be that bad. Willow collected her son and told Evie to follow. The girl complied and walked with her to find a room somewhere. If they didn't find a room soon, her legs were going to give out. "This place should have come with a map."

Matthew and Remi stood in silence. The smaller blonde didn't know what to say to Remi. He had left during his time of need and he wasn't in the mood to be flirty. But then Matt was pulled into a tight hug. For a moment he didn't hug back almost numb to the embrace. But soon he started to break down again. As tears welled in his eyes, his body began to tremble. And before Matt knew it, he was crying in his crushes arms. He wrapped his arms around Remi and just cried. He had only ever cried in front of his family and Talia. He was so set on never crying in front of Remi and yet here he was. Being absolutely pathetic, but he couldn't stop.

The further she and Eric walked, the more confused she became. After a while, Delaney thought she was starting to go delirious from lack of sleep and the never ending halls. Why was it so hard to find a bedroom? Eric said the bedroom had to be somewhere, and Delaney didn't say anything. She knew he was right, but it didn't look like they were going to find one anytime soon. He reached out for her hand and she hesitated for a second. Eric is a friend. Eric is nice. Eric is good. Calm down, it's nothing. It's nothing. She looked at his hand and slowly stretched her hand to his. Such an innocent act contaminated by a monster. She loosely interlocked her fingers with his and continued walking down the halls.

The time kept passing and Delaney could feel her eyelids starting to droop and her feet starting to drag lightly against the floor. She stopped and turned to the nearest door. "Might as well start trying every door." She opened the door and looked in. Nothing. She moved to the next door and looked in. Still nothing. She kept repeating this pattern until she opened a door a little further down the hall, and found a large quilted bed. She turned to Eric. "Well, I found one." A small smile crept onto her face. She was beyond tired.

Image

Image

Ophelia rejoined Nathan and he held her hand when she grabbed his. "Can you sleep with me tonight?" Nathan smiled softly at her. There was no way she meant an act other than actually sleeping. Not after everything that happened today. There was no way she would be up to something like that right now. "Are you sure you don't want to be alone?" It could do her well to get some time to herself, but him staying with her could make a difference. Nathan didn't want to Ophelia to be alone; he wanted to comfort her.

They left the ballroom and started to wander the halls. They found a bedroom not too long after they had set out on their quest for one. It was the first door Nathan tried. He raised an eyebrow and looked at his girlfriend. He turned and ran a free hand across her cheek. "If that's what you want, I can stay with you tonight. You deserve a good night's sleep, and if it included me next to you, then I will gladly join you."

Willow carried Lucas, passed out, in her arms. He breathed quietly into her neck and Willow nodded at Eva's remark. "No kidding. I didn't think it got more confusing than malls, and those come with maps. Little did I know how wrong I was." This was the last thing she wanted. Walking around a mysterious mansion looking for a bedroom for her son and herself to rest for the night with no idea where she should even be looking. She continued walking around with Eva and she came to a corner door. She tried the knob. It was locked. She rolled her eyes and walked to the door across from the one she just tried. It slowly creaked open and Willow looked at Eva. "By all means." Eva could go first. Willow waited for her friend to enter and check out the room first. Maybe she could get a room next to her or in the same hall. Willow wondered if she would find a room with a bed for her and her son. That would be convenient but extremely odd, if not somewhat creepy.

Delaney awoke to the sun’s morning light streaming through the windows and going directly into her eyes. She rolled over on her stomach and buried her face in her pillow. She was still tired and did not feel like getting up. That was the last thing she wanted to do. Last night had wiped her out, and the lack of sleep she had gotten was not helping her case.

She could feel herself slipping back into unconsciousness when something was hurled at her. The object lightly hit her arm and she moaned softly. “Five more minutes.” She wrapped her arm under her pillow and sighed. Another object thrown at her, but this time it hit her hard in the back. “Ow! What the-” She lifted her head to see a young girl, about her age,l standing in the corner of her room, arms crossed, staring at her. The girl tapped her foot impatiently and Delaney jumped back on her bed. “Um, who are you?” The girl laughed half heartedly and flipped her hair over her shoulder. ”I’m your muse, and you have school.” Delaney looked the girl over. She faintly remembered Celeste mentioning each of them would be getting a muse. Delaney’s mind was more focused on training and potentially agreeing to be part of a death mission during Celeste’s visit rather than the muse she would get. Delaney repositioned herself and saw the objects on her bed. A pillow and an alarm clock. “If you wanted me to get up you could have turned the alarm clock on instead of throwing it at me.” She squinted her eyes at her muse and her muse shrugged. ”I didn’t think of that.” The stranger flipped her long brown hair over her shoulder and walked over to Delaney, pulling her off the bed. ”Get dressed. Clothes are in the closet on your right. I helped pick them out. I just hope you have a good fashion sense like I do. I’ll be outside your door and when you’re done we can go to the kitchen.” Delaney just stared at her muse blankly, and the muse rolled her eyes, disappearing from the room. The blond stood in the middle of the room by herself and sighed.

Nathan was still on his stomach, arm under his pillow, half asleep, when he heard two voices not too far away. He recognized the one as Ophelia, but he didn’t recognize the other. He turned his head to see a small figure on his girlfriend’s shoulder, just to see it disappear a few seconds later. Ophelia stood a few feet away from him and Nathan rolled onto his back to look at her. He rubbed the sleep from his eye with the palm of his hand and sat up. ”Morning, beautiful.” He smiled at her. After everything that had happened the night before, he was hoping today would be a good day. He knew some must still be torn up about Talia, but maybe she could be visited today. He could go with Ophelia if she wanted him to, or if she needed him to. The sun was streaming through the window onto the floor, and it looked to be a promising day weather wise. He hoped it would be promising in other ways, too.

Nathan got off the bed and walked over to Ophelia, wrapping his arms around her waist and kissed her softly on the lips. He pulled away to look her in the eyes and grinned. ”How are you this morning?” He could ask about who she was talking to a little bit. He wanted to see how she was doing first.

”Mommy! Mommy! Get up! Up, up, up!” Willow felt her leg being pulled on lightly by her son as he yelled for her to get up. “Where’s the fire?” Lucas giggled as he climbed on the bed, bouncing a few times before throwing himself on his mother. Willow exaggeratedly groaned in pain and Lucas crawled to his mother’s side. ”Mommy?” Willow peeked an eye open and the sat up on the bed, tickling her son. Lucas squealed in laughter and rolled from side to side. She laughed with him and slid off the bed. She stood and stretched before leaning back down and grabbing Lucas off the bed. She placed him on the floor and he ran to the door. Willow still thought it was odd there was a room for her and Lucas to sleep in. She thought they would have had to share a bed, but when she found a room it had a bed for each of them. She went to the door and they left the room, finding a bathroom rather quickly. They both went through their normal morning routines.

Willow dressed herself and her son and she pulled her wet hair up into a bun. It would dry on its own. Lucas played with the sheets on the bed as she combed through his hair. When she was done, she walked to the door and opened it. “Come on, let’s get some breakfast.” Lucas quickly jumped up from the bed and walked over to her. The two made their way around the hall, and Willow smelled something being made before she even turned the corner. They followed the scent until they found the kitchen. Willow walked closer the kitchen, and she saw Greyson, Eric, Ezra, and Remi. Willow figured Lucas saw Remi before the others from the way the child walked over to Remi and wrapped his arms around the man’s legs. Willow walked over to Remi who was in the doorway, and grinned at him a little. “Hey.” She kept her voice low. She knew he was still worried about Talia. She was too, but not to the extent that he was. She couldn’t imagine being in her best friend’s shoes right now. “How’d you sleep?”

Damian walked around the room. He ran his fingers along the walls and sighed happily. After exploring the mansion all night, he had come across a large, empty room on the fourth floor of the mansion. It was nestled in the far right corner of the floor between a bathroom and storage closet. This would be the room he would use with Eva. It was perfect. He left the room and made his way down the steps and around the mansion. He had to find Eva. He needed to find out her answer. After everyone had cleared out of the ballroom last night, Damian had stayed behind and waited to leave. He had seen Eva and Willow in the halls looking for bedrooms, but had not seen them pick their rooms.

He walked down another flight of steps and stopped in front of a girl with white hair styled in a pixie cut. He didn’t recognize the face. She smiled at him mischievously and he stared at her. ”May I ask who you are?” She walked closer to him and placed a hand on his chest. I’m your muse. Pleasure to meet you, Damian. He lifted his chin curiously and scanned her over. She was tall, slim, clad in black. He took a step back and watched her hand fall. ”Pleasure to meet you as well, muse. Do you have a name?” She stepped away from him and folded her hands in front of her. Yes, actually. You can call me Gravity. We, muses, are named accordingly. Whichever ability you, or your peers, possess, that is what we go by. Damian nodded his head once and turned around, walking away from her. Gravity followed and Damian decided to ignore her. He had remembered the woman mentioning something about them each receiving muses, but his could just get in the way of training. If he were to train Eva and either of their muses interrupted, he would be furious. There was no need for them to be here. They would just make things difficult for him.

Ophelia was not in the mood to process her muse. She needed to get showered, dressed, visit Talia, and then argue with Nathan on the unimportance of school. If Miss Landers was to go to school it would be because Camila would need someone to be with her. Ezra couldn't be there in the building. But if Cami didn't need her, Nathan would have to be girlfriendless at school. ”Morning, beautiful.” Speak of the devil. Nathan was awake. Ophelia turned around to face her sleepy boyfriend. She liked his morning voice very much. It was husky and deep. Another benefit to waking up with him. "Hey darling." Gently she ran her fingers through her hair, before she started rocking on her heels. When he got up off the bed, they shared a loving embrace and a kiss. He always knew how to make her morning. Ophelia smiled at him when he asked how she was. "Better." There was still some anger and sadness coursing through her veins. But she would be fine for teh next couple of hours. Granted that is if she doesn't go to school. Speaking of school. "I was actually about to find a bathroom to shower. Want to join me?" She winked playfully. She didn't want Nathan to think that there was anything seriously wrong. So she let him know the only way she knew how.

Greyson wasn't in the slightest worried about Kelsey even though he doesn't know anything about the muse. If Kelsey needed Grey, she would just do what children do best. Slip away. That thought made him chuckle. That was when Eric joined him in the kitchen. Extra help in the kitchen was always nice. Especially since this is a new kitchen and there were way more than two people to feed. Eric just took on the roll of eggs and bacon. It wouldn't take long for them and it would be easier to make a mass supply of those. Greyson was making waffles and pancakes. Kelsey liked pancakes so that was really who he was making them for. Grey and Eric were talking before Ezra joined them. Clearly hungry. "All those cooking shows I have watch were finally coming in handy." Eric joked. Greyson laughed. "That and between the both of us I actually know how to cook." Greyson was only teasing, but it was nice to have something to laugh about. Eric glared playfully at him and then looked at Ezra. "Ezra, could you find fruit some where. Evie is gonna want some." Greyson saw his best friend walk into the room. He looked like he still needed a moment. Greyson just waved at Remi with a small smile. Willow showed up and it seems like she was going to handle it.

Evangeline's muse refused to put her down the entire way to the bathroom. Despite all her protest and kicking. It seemed no one heard her. And if they did, they didn't care. Not that it mattered. If this muse was of Celeste she was safe. But she just didn't like the fact he was carrying her into the bathroom. Finally she was put down and she adjusted her clothes. "That requires dinner and a movie." she muttered. The muse laughed. "Or I tell you my name and I don't tell the world about your dyslexia." Evangeline gasped and just looked at him. He was staring at her with a smile that unfortunately resembled Damian's. He wasn't kidding. She glared at him and then turned on the shower water. As she did that her muse got quite comfortable in the corner of the bathroom. He rested against the wall. "Aren't you going to leave?" He shook his head. "I am progressing our relationship. My name is Air." Evangeline just looked over him. He was just going to sit there. Evie just stepped into the shower and closed the curtain. She threw her clothes out of the shower and then bathed herself. Peaking her head from behind the curtain, Air was still there smiling. "Towel." He threw her one. She dried off, but remained behind the curtain. "Seriously Air get out. I will be fine without you for three seconds!" Air sighed. "Your clothes are folded on the second shelf." He clapped two times and disappeared. When Evangeline thought it was safe, she got out and got dressed.

Matthew was in and out of the bathroom. He had clothes and things waiting for him when he was in there. If he cared, he would have questioned it. But he didn't. Right now he was trying to think of a way to try and get to Talia without having anyone follow him. It was quite selfish, but he wanted alone time with his best friend. Matt walked back to his room and silently hoped that it was empty. He didn't feel like engaging in conversation. Walking inside he saw a small child sitting on his bed. Her smile was bright and her hair was bright red. But when she saw Matt's frown, she frowned as well. "What's the matter, Matty?" Matthew doesn't know this girl. How does she know him. The girl picked up on his confusion. "I'm Poison! A muse from Celeste!" She was very proud of that. Matthew nodded and didn't ask any more question. "I just miss my best friend." Poison seemed to understand. Pushing herself off the bed, she walked over to him. "Well I know where the infirmary is. I can take you, but first..." The girl took Matt's hand and dragged him out of his bedroom. "Find out what smells so good!" Then she just disappeared. Guess that meant Matthew had to find the kitchen. With a sigh, he started to follow the smell of food.

Delaney rummaged through the closet, grimacing slightly as she did so. Many of the clothes weren’t her style. In fact, a few of the dresses hanging to the side scared her. She didn’t want to think about why or for what event her muse had put them in there for her. She didn’t feel like getting ready or going to school. She plucked a pair of jean shorts and a tanktop out of the closet and quickly dressed. She brushed through her hair and met her muse outside. Delaney watched her muse asses her outfit and frown. ”Well someone needs a lesson in fashion. We can do that after school.” Delaney rolled her eyes and asked her muse where the bathroom was. Her muse pointed to a door on her left and Delaney went in to use it before heading to the kitchen.

On the way to the kitchen, Delaney turned to her muse. “So, do you have a name? Or do I have to call you muse?” The muse grinned. “We’re named according to what powers you have, so I’m Plant, which is really unfortunate. Wish you could just manipulate vines. How sick would the name Vine be?” Delaney glared at her muse. “Well sorry for the inconvenience.” Plant laughed and skipped in front of her happily. ”Don’t sweat it. Come on, Eric’s waiting for you.” Her muse turned and wiggled her eyebrows at Delaney before disappearing around the corner. Delaney could feel her cheeks heat up and she looked down at the ground as she kept walking. She thought back to last night when Eric had left her at the door of her room with a kiss on the forehead. She had almost wrapped her arms around him and hugged him, pulled him close to her. Instead she froze and just let him go. Her stomach twisted as she stepped into the kitchen and looked at how many people were already there. The first person she saw in the kitchen was Eric. She ducked her head slightly and heard him ask Ezra to go find fruit. She looked at the two and spoke quickly. ”I can help you find fruit, Ezra. It should be easy enough.” She smiled to herself. She could already feel where the plants in the house were and in such a big house, she didn’t know how Ezra would go about finding fruit. She could tell there were a bunch of fruit trees in the backyard. She knotted her fingers together as she waited.

Nathan was relieved a little when Ophelia said she was better. He knew she must still be upset or angry or both, but her being better than last night was good for him and everyone else. She most likely wouldn’t do or say anything rash regarding the death of the Kain guy, or at least not this early in the morning. He could rest easy for now. Ophelia mentioned a shower and he chuckled. He ran a hand through her hair when it started to fall in front of her face. He remembered they had school and he almost sighed. He would rather stay home with his girlfriend and cuddle and watch movies. He was too mentally exhausted to go about his normal routine and sit in a building with a bunch of people he barely cared about. He would rather stay in the mansion, even though it was still foreign to him. “I’d love to, but with the others around we wouldn’t want to disturb them if they’re sleeping. How about I go to find us something to eat while you get ready? I’ll help you find a bathroom.” He winked when he mentioned disturbing the others and took hold of her hand, walking towards the door. He was glad Ophelia was able to joke with him. Her joking around made him instantly feel better. She must not be as bad as he had thought, but he knew she was still hurt. At least she was trying to lighten the mood. He was grateful for it. As they reached the hallway, he turned to look at her. “Who were you talking to this morning? I woke up to you and another voice, unless that was a dream.” He didn’t think he had dreamt it, but he wasn’t entirely sure. Maybe he had imagined it.

Remi scooped Lucas up in his arms and the child wrapped his arms around the man’s neck. Willow nodded when Remi said he slept, but didn’t elaborate on it. She was glad he had slept. If he had stayed up night pacing the floor or trying to get to his sister, she wouldn’t know how to go about that. Of course he needed to see Talia and check on her, but it was a long night and after the show he had put on before Willow slapped him, her friend deserved a goodnights sleep. He must have been exhausted. She could relate to his comment. A long, dreamless night for her and her son, she assumed. Lucas usually went to her when he had a dream.

Remi asked how her and Lucas slept and she shrugged. “The same, I guess. Nothing special about it.” Remi played with Lucas’ hand and Lucas smiled as he spoke, lifting his other arm up in the air. “Great! I had my own bed and...and mommy and I had a tickle fight this morning!” Lucas leaned closer to Remi and whispered in his ear, even though Willow could still hear. “Don’t tell mommy, but I won.” He pulled back and smiled triumphantly, and Willow smiled at the two. If anyone could put a smile on a person’s face, it was Lucas. Then again, she assumed any kid could do the same. Kelsey probably could too. Willow looked at Greyson cooking with Eric and she looked back to Remi. She could see Matthew a few feet away from them out of the corner of her eye and Willow just watched him approached. She thought it was weird to see everyone coming together under one roof and interacting. She wasn’t sure of the relationships between everyone, but maybe she’d find out sooner or later.

Gravity kept bothering Damian as he wandered the halls in search of Eva. He could smell something being made, but he could eat later. It wasn’t like he had anywhere to go during the day. Gravity brought up him being rude again for about the sixth time, and Damian abruptly turned around. ”Excuse me when I say this, but I don’t need you. If I wish to converse with you ever, I will turn to you. However, if you really want assist me right now, could you please direct me to Eva’s room?” Gravity came up short and she nodded her head quickly. Damian could tell he got to her and he straightened up, waiting. Gravity passed him and continued forward. Follow me.

Damian walked right behind her. His muse led him down several halls until they came across a door. The girl cleared her throat before Damian could knock. She’s not in her room right now, she’s in the bathroom. So you will wait outside the bathroom until she emerges.” Damian sighed softly and nodded his head. He was starting to become agitated, but he had to remain calm for his conversation with Eva. If she said no and he lost his cool, then there was no way she would willingly say yes. He would just frighten her more, in which case he could threaten and force her to train with him. That wouldn’t be too bad after all. Damian leaned against the wall connecting to the door and turned his head to his muse. “If you do not mind, I would like to speak to her alone. You may reappear after. Is that understood?” Gravity hesitated before nodding her head. Yes, I understand. She disappeared and left Damian by himself. He waited against the wall until he saw Eva come out of the bathroom. She seemed to be by herself, and Damian flashed his usual smile at her.

Ophelia great despite what happened yesterday night. It was just nice to have someone to help her take her mind off of her best friend. Even if only for a brief moment. He rejected her bathroom proposal, but for a good reason. The wink was assurance that they were thinking on the same level. It was for reasons like that, that she adored Nathan. He flirted with her no problem. Even if it was reasonable flirting. "I will be quite this time. I promise." her voice practically in a purr. Opehlia doesn't know what the word quiet means. But she was only teasing. He had already made up his mind. Which meant they weren't doing anything. They started heading towards the bathroom since he agreed to at least walk her there. As they walked he mentioned the second voice that he woke up too. For a moment Ophelia had to think about it. "Oh. I sort of met my muse this morning. But I sent it away because I didn't want to be bothered so early." Leave it to Ophelia to forced her muse to leave before they were even properly introduced. They got closer to the bathroom and she turned to him. Leaning up on her tip toes she placed a kiss on his lips. "Make sure they have bagels in the kitchen." She whispered between the small gap she left between them. Leaving Nathan, she walked into the bathroom to get cleaned up.

Matthew walked into the kitchen, not expecting the group of people. He first noticed Remi. For a moment it seemed that he had seen him as well, but Remi just went back to talking to Willow. Matt just kept walking to where the bar stool was. It was quite isolated. It was to make sure that no one felt like they had to talk to him. He would be perfectly fine humming to himself. He hummed quietly. Waiting for food to be done. He wanted to go and talk to Remi. To explain why he didn't wait for the older male to wake up before saying anything. But he was surrounded by others. They could talk later. Maybe.

Greyson was practically finished with his part of the breakfast. There were more than enough pancakes and waffles for everyone. When he looked around to see who else had joined them, his face lit up slightly. Camila had joined them. Greyson smiled softly at Cami before she ducked away toward her cousin. He just looked down with a smile still on his face. He wasn't going to confton her right now. He wanted to go deal with his best friend. Greyson washed his hands and walked over to Remi and Willow. He smiled at Lucus. "Hey little man! he said, giving Lucas a high five. Then he looked at Remi. "Hey little man." It was less enthusiastic, but it was just to tease. Then he looked at Willow. "Hope you slept well knowing you smacked my precious Remi." Greyson was truly just trying to lighten the mood. He wanted everyone to be happy.

Eric was making the last of the bacon and he was hoping Erza would just hop to the job without question. But he was distracted by Camila. Not that it was a problem. Eric was a tad bit distracted by Delaney. She had joined them in the kitchen and immediately offered to help find fruit. That was the best job for her after all. He smiled at his blonde crush. Eric thought that he should give a verbal hi or a hug, but he stayed put. He needed to finish his food before his sister came down and complained. Speaking of siblings he looked around. "Has anyone seen Eva?"

Evangeline took her time getting ready for school. It's not like she wanted to go. Being forced to try and understand something she clearly didn't understand. On top of that she didn't want to be bombarded by brother 1, brother 2, Air, and Damian. They were all annoying. Evie really just wanted to see Delaney, Willow, and Lucas before heading out. But she knew that wouldn't be the case. Especially because Air can just pop in and out whenever he felt like it. Damian always seemed to find Eva. And her brother tag team seemed to have implanted her with a tracking device. Running the fingers through her now straight her, she sighed. Time to embrace another terrible school day. She walked out of the bathroom, she saw Air waiting for her. Smiling. She walked a bit closer and quickly realized that it wasn't Air. It was Damian. Why her muse looked like the scariest person alive was beyond her. But the better question was why Damian was waiting for her. Evangeline kept walking by him hoping that he wouldn't want to say anything to her.
