Personality:
Felix is as complex as his brother, but they seem to be very different in personality. In mindsets, worries, and ideas they are easily relatable. Upon first meeting Felix, he comes off friendly. He's modest and is more interesting in asking questions than answering them. He likes to hear about others rather than brag about himself. In his mind he doesn't have much to say, so though he is quite outgoing and easy to start a conversations with, he rarely rants about himself or his interests. He's more of a go and do it than a sit and talk about it type of person. Adventurous and daring is seen in his smile, and his gaze often reveals his daydreams of being somewhere else far, far away. He's not very insecure, but he values the ideas and opinions of others and takes into consideration other's thoughts.
He generally looks approachable, well as approachable as a skinny kid with various tattoos is. Though his expression is found serious when he's alone, it's easy to get a smile or a laugh out of him with a few words. Talking to others brightens things for him, and he truly enjoys the company of others. He's very aware and concerned with other's time and feelings, so he always tries to be punctual and never late. He's polite and gentlemanly like, excusing himself from situations as to not upset others from being missing. He holds and opens doors, greets formally, and in general uses good manors. Though he may sound like a very serious calm collected person, by looking at him you can obviously tell that's not exactly the case.
He's extremely honest and easy going, and though he doesn't openly talk about himself he'll answer any questions you have for him. He's trustworthy though, and will only tell what's his to be told. He's goofy, fun and playful, but knows when to step aside from his games and be the loyal, listening friend he is. Sympathy is easy to win from him because he is compassionate and empathetic.
Something about him may seem a bit lost though, like he's constantly looking for something. Forgiveness, acceptance, meaning... Something. No one can ever put a finger on it, not even him really. He doesn't discuss this really, unless asked of course but there isn't much to say. He's just trying to find and fix what he's lost. His brother.
Like his brother, he's also very intelligent. He's less logic smart though, and more creative. He learns things quickly and easily without any trouble. He can pick up almost any instrument and play something that isn't completely terrible. He doesn't find much entertainment in music though, or art really. He prefers to read and even write himself. His humor spans from knock-knock jokes to intellectual humor, and finds laughter one of his favorite things in the world. He likes to be able to share a laugh with anyone he comes across, and expands his vocabulary when he can.
Along with loving laughter and jokes, he just loves life as a whole. He lives the fullest, and tries not to hold grudges or cause fights. He's the opposite of his brother in this way, because Axel is always pugnacious and aggressive. Felix believes in nonviolence, and prefers to let things go because there's more to life than that. He'd always wished his brother wasn't so stubborn, and would open his eyes to the beauties of life, rather than the unfortunate things that can happen.
He's not very impulsive, and prefers to be cautious about his actions rather than careless. He himself lives life to the fullest on his tip-toes, as if not to step on anyone's feet. He likes to be himself but never at the expense of someone else. Though, if someone is doing something he's against, he will speak up and go against it.
He's charismatic and friendly, which always made it easy for Felix to get along with others and make friends. He and his brother were once very close, inseparable almost, both believing the other was their better half. Felix never felt jealous of Axel, only looked up to him somewhat. He watched the way he did everything in his life, and seemed to follow behind Axel. He cared deeply for his brother, and tried to keep him out of the trouble he coul. This always angered Axel, because he felt jealous toward Felix because of the constant positive attention he got.
He's always kind, which is probably why he and Axel were an odd pair. If Axel tried to fight with him Felix would return a relaxed, calm, nice answer to the anger. This left his twin always confused, and they rarely fought because of it. Felix doesn't really find joy in being better than others, he'd rather push others to succeed and know he helped. He likes to do things he enjoys, but never does anything for the purpose of outdoing someone.
When it comes to women, Felix was maybe average. He's had girlfriends before, but when t comes to relationships he's more serious than his brother. His few relationships were very committed and meaningful in his eyes, and he only forms relationships when he feels it's worth while. He doesn't like to waste his time with one night stands or meaningless flirting as much, and rarely even finds himself thinking about dating too much. Unless he meets someone who really sticks out to him, he probably won't bother with the basic dating routine. Mainly his mindset lays on other things he finds more important or vital to him.
It's not Felix to be too impulsive, so when he found that Axel was in the circus, he was a bit startled. He didn't know what drew him into going in the first place, and there his brother was. He had a stage name of course, and Felix was handed a flyer about joining. At first he thought it was hopeless, when he brother seemed to vanish when Felix went to look for him after the show, but on a slight whim he thought about joining to connect with his brother again. Back home, his father had given him full rein over the business but Felix wasn't really comfortable with the illegal dealing of weapons and other things his father worked the trades of. He never really wanted to run the company, but he knew Axel had always wanted the money and power of it. The two balanced each other, and Felix was content with sharing the power with his twin. When Axel wasn't given any of the money or power, he'd left. That left just Felix. He was visibly unhappy about this, a bit distraught, especially at the fact that his other half had left. His father either didn't notice or ignored this, and continued to pursue the change. Eventually when Felix also stood up against this, not telling that he'd be joining his brother in the circus, his father was slightly upset. There wasn't much he could do though, other than pass down and train his youngest son, Jeffrey. Jeffrey has always dreamed of this anyway, and it seemed to work out better than ever. With nothing left there for him, Felix knew he wanted to follow his brother, and join the circus.

Image
History:
You could say life started out simply. The twin's parents were very wealthy, so the boys lived spoiled but sheltered lives. In a skyrise apartment with a lovely view, they seemed to avoid most of the dangers of anything until they became a bit older. Robert and Henry had always been close, as many twins are. They were basically attached at the hip, and found that they never had a need for anyone else. Most of their time they spent together, and they never really had friends other than each other. It wasn't until they were a little over ten that things started to change.

Shiloh stood up from her crisscrossed position on the floor in her tent. Everyone in the circus had their own tent where they called home. Carnies slept, dressed, and basically did everything normal people would do in there tents. They even have this strict rule that carnies cannot enter other carnies rooms without being told they may enter. This rule is so strict for the fact that tents don't lock and don't have doors to knock on. Sure, they had trailers. But the trailers were used for the show girls to do their makeup and hair. Shiloh, being a clown, had to do her makeup herself in her tent. A mater of fact, everyone else, not counting the acrobat's who also use the trailers for makeup, had to do everything themselves.

Shiloh let out a sigh, not standing in the middle of her tent as she looked around. In one corner, she had a small sleeping spot. She didn't have a bed, but just a matric on the ground with an old heavy yet thin blanket and an old pillow. She didn't mind though, it was good enough for her and this is what happens in a low budget circus. When you join the circus, it's up to you to buy everything you need with the money you make. A lot of people even have to get a second job to pay for everything. Shiloh's one of those people. But, we'll get into that later. Looking around her room/tent some more, we have a clothes rack that holds just a few hangers to Shiloh's costume. She keeps the rest of her clothes in a suitcase on the ground next to it. On the other side of the tent, opposite her bed, is a mirror on a desk with all her stage makeup laid down on it. That's all she held in her little tent, thought, it wasn't so little as it was tall enough for Shiloh to stand up straight through most of it, but, on the other hand, Shlioh is a rather short girl.

Walking over to her rack, Shiloh carefully put on her clowns costume. She didn't have a normal clowns costume that you would think about when you hear clown. No, Shiloh's costume holds mostly black and white. A black suite a size big on her, a white dress shirt a size big on her, and an over-sized white bowtie. After she had this on, she went over to the mirror and did her hair first. Putting her bleached-blonde hair up into a Mohawk-like fashion. She then continues on to do her makeup. Being a clown, she's not suppose to show any of her actual skin color. So, she puts white face paint all over her face, ears, and neck, covering up all her normal pale skin color. She then takes her eye makeup after the paint is dried and darkens it around her eyes a bit. She continues with black face paint, going over where her eyebrows would be located. She finishes up her makeup by putting on bright red lipstick. Once that is finished, she puts on bright red gloves that fit her perfectly and bright red dress shoes a size big on her.

She looked at herself in the mirror and practiced her smile. Pinning it there, she headed out of her tent and to the front gateway into the circus. The gate way was large and a rusty red color. It had ribbons coming from the bottom of either side and going out to surround the circus. Once she got to the front gate, she picked up the flyers and waited as the new comers came in, handing each of them a flyer with a small settle smile pinned on her face.

"Ba-da-da-da-da-da-ba-da-ba-da Ba-da-da-da-da-da-ba-da-ba-da ba-da-da-da ba-da-da-da ba-da-da ba-da-da ba-da-da-ba!" Ricket sing loudly in his tent to the music playing over the intercom. So what, it didn't have lyrics or any words what so ever, but he could still sing to it. Rickets tent was a mess. It had old alcohol bottles all over the place. He didn't even have a bed in there, just an old rotten recliner that he got when he joined the circus. That seems like such a long time ago. His tent was arranged in the same way Shiloh's was but with more of a messy way, and instead of having a stand with makeup he had his huge stilts with giant pants over them and giant shoes on the end. He got dressed in his outfit, putting on smaller versions of the shoes and pants on himself, then dragged them outside.

Being a stilt walker and having the tall stilts, he couldn't get them on himself. So, off he went to go find Shiloh, his little helper. He found her already greeting Wanna-Be's into the gate and gave a big smile. "Why, hello, youngens! I'm Ricket, that there's Shiloh!" He said loudly and excitedly then glanced at Shiloh, who didn't say a word. "She's a quiet clown, so she wont talk while in costume. But, out of costume she'll talk more, don't worry!" He said, his Irish accent coming out some as he said so. "Shiloh, give a mate a hand, will you?" He said, large smile still illumining his face. Shiloh nodded and went to help her fellow carny up onto his legs.

Once Ricket was up, he nodded down at her, tipping his hat to her slightly, then waved to the Wanna-Be's. "Come on, now. You don't want to be late to the big top, now do you?" He said and lead the way to the big top. Once there, he reached over and held the tent open as he waited for everyone to go inside before stepping in himself. All about the large tent was little groups of the carnies all talking among themselves. Some had the animals by them and some just had themselves. After a moment, Rocky came up and stood beside Ricket in his little matching doggy vest. He knew while he stood there that today was going to be a fun day as they offered there home to the Wanna-Be's to join.

Liu bit his lip lightly as he ran his fingers through his short, dark brown hair, fixing it so that it covered his right eye properly before continuing on passed the gates of the circus. He glanced at the clown who handed him a flyer, looking down at it quietly. I wonder if they'll agree to letting me be a fire breather or not. If not then I'll find another circus who will or I'll find another way to become one, he thought to himself quietly as he followed the others towards the big top.

He entered the big top and looked around quietly, slipping his hand into the pocket of his black skinny jeans that hugged his legs tightly, letting his fingers curl around his lighter. He pulled the lighter out and lit it before letting it go out, only to repeat the process over and over as he stood in front of the current members of the circus. His eyes wandered over to the ringmaster and watched him interact with another member. He never really got close to most people after his kidnapping and preferred it that way, not trusting people very much since then.

He let out a soft sigh and sat down to the side. "I'm Liu Jiao," he said, introducing himself, quietly - but loud enough to be heard by all. He then turned his attention back to his lighter, nervous and in need of the calming affects that it gave him. He stared into the flame silently, occasionally glancing up to see if he was getting weird looks as he normally would from other people about his habit. He knew he would have to explain eventually if he stayed, but he didn't want to tell everyone. He might just tell the ringmaster and ignore when others asked, or complained about the dangers of a lighter around tents and other flammable objects.

After deeming the lion problem fixed, Lyfe rubbed his stubble, sighing in relief. He then made his way to the center of the big top, clearing his throat.

β€œMay I have your attention please?” He said, loudly. His deep voice bounced off of the walls and he smiled brilliantly at the carnies and wanna-be’s alike. He clapped his hands together, β€œLadies and gentlemen! Carnies and Fresh Meat!” He chuckled playfully. β€œWelcome one and all. I am your humble ringmaster; Lyfe.” He did a formal bow. β€œFirst off, I’d like to say that it’s a pleasure to see so many bright young faces. Here, in this circus, this won’t only be your job, this will be your home and we won’t just be your co-workers, we will be your family. I built this circus to be a home for the homeless and a hope for the hopeless. During your time here, your skills will be put to the test and I expect you to perform at your best and nothing less. I want you to keep in mind that circus life is not just fun and games, but hard work and dedication, as well. We may be a family, but we are still a business. Each of you has your own talent and whilst in the circus, I will be here to help you hone your abilities and push yourself to be greater than you’d ever imagine. We are here to enchant the audience while doing something we love.”

He grinned at them slyly, β€œAnd having a few fans has its perks, if I do say so myself. You, my little New Bloods, are merely at step one of your journey. Ask any of the other carnies, they’d tell you that none of it was easy. We all have a story here; be it complex or simply, but in this place, your past will not define you. You are reborn. Feel free to mingle and get to know the carnies, for they will be your guides throughout this venture.” His gaze shifted to Ricket and Shiloh, β€œThese two, will show you to your tents and if you have any questions, my ears are always open and so are carnie’s in here. I wish you all luck and I am eagerly waiting to see what you’ve got to offer. Welcome to the circus, loves.” With that, Lyfe took a bow and walked away, making his way to Ghost, standing beside him and beaming. β€œHow was I, mate? Your opinion matters most to me, so give it to me straight.”

Smiles was late. He cursed as he crashed out of his tent trying in vain to tie his shoe as he did. He gave two hops before he fell face first into the ground and groaned as he got back up and dusted himself off. Taking a deep breath he opted for tying his dress shoes before seriously damaging any body parts that he'd prefer to keep. He checked to make sure that his dark faded jeans, dark purple vest and crisp white button down shirt weren't ruined and that his fedora- which matched his vest- was still atop his head. Once that was done he speed walked down to the Big Top. He passed the gates and wondered how many new people had come for a chance at the circus life and how many would actually stay. He remembered when he'd been in their position and the many people that had come that day to join. Slowly many of those people had left or quit because they couldn't handle or didn't want to live it out as the carnies did. Smiles was glad he had a strong determination or he'd never have known the joys of being a carnie. He didn't have an act or anything of the sort. He was a simple concessionaire but he was treated pretty equally to the others and for that he was truly grateful.

Opening the flaps of the Big Top he grinned as he spotted many of them already inside. Great going Smiles, now everyone knows you're late, he chastised himself in his head. He spotted Lyfe and gave him an apologetic look before placing both hands in a pleading position and bowed his head regretfully. He hated disappointing his boss. Actually, he hated disappointing anyone really. Looking back up he noticed the newbies and sauntered over with his usual charming smile and waved dramatically. "Hello there newcomers! I am the wonderful and magnificent Smiles," he greeted, bowing in a ridiculous but oddly charming way that only Smiles could ever pull off before continuing on, "I hope to see more of you in the coming days, yes?" He turned to Shiloh, gave her a friendly two finger wave greeting before heading to the side and sat at the stands.

Smiles was still tired oddly enough. His part time job required him to wake up at an ungodly hour in the morning but he needed all the extra money he could get. None of his fellow carnies really knew it but he worked part time for an old lady, helping her sew and mend clothes and costumes. He felt no shame in the trade and wouldn't give a flying rats arse if the others knew but since they hadn't asked he'd never said. He liked helping the sweet old lady out, and in the long run he knew how to fix any torn clothes or costumes. Very helpful if such a situation came up here at the circus. Heck, the old lady he worked for had even taught him how to make a few clothes and was still in the process of said teaching. Pretty soon he wouldn't have to go to stores to buy his clothes. He'd simply buy a bunch of fabric, needles and thread and he'd make himself a whole batch of clothing. Very useful indeed. He lets his dark brown eyes glance at everyone slowly and he smiles softly. This was his family. "And its about to get just a bit bigger..." he murmured to himself as he finally settled his sights on the newbies.

Before long, Lyfe enters center stage and Smiles listens attentively as their Ring Master gives his speech.

Tomo was currently standing at the other side of the street of the gates looking very much like a stalker. A very hot stalker, she amended in her head smirking as she looked down at her choice of clothing. She'd chosen to go with an off the shoulder skull tee, some black short shorts, awesome fishnet stockings (one of many that she owned) and black boots that reached just below her knees. She'd added small black leather bracelets here and there just so she wouldn't feel so plain but then again Tomo was one of few people who could ever really look plain even on off days. Her friend Molly had helped her fashion her hair into a mohawk style that didn't require her to cut off any of her hair whatsoever.

She smiled as she thought of her best friend. Molly was the complete opposite of her; she was shy, a bit nerdy and all around cute! Though she looked like a kid, Molly was actually two years older than Tomo and liked to remind her of it every chance she got. Tomo had been living with Molly for a little over a year ever since she'd left her parents home. Tyler, Molly's boyfriend, was also one of Tomo's closest friend and was also on the baby faced side. People still wondered why such sweet faced people would still be friends with a daredevil like Tomo. She knew they made an odd little trio but she loved them dearly because they didn't judge her and accepted her for who she was. 'Course, that didn't stop them from having their arguments now and then BUT that's what friendship was all about. Sticking together through the good and bad.

Enough with the mindless reminiscent memories. Get your ass over there, she commanded herself as she snapped back to reality. She adjusted her large spiked messenger bag on her shoulder before she strutted across the street and took a flyer from the female clown with a grateful smile. Once they'd gathered quite a few people she followed them into what they reffered to as the "Big Top". Many of the Carnies introduced themselves and Tomo couldn't help but eye them up. Attractive lot, that they were. Tomo grinned mischievously at the rated r thoughts running through her head before she shook herself free of them. Down Tomo, down. She stayed oddly silent throughout the whole thing, even when there was a commotion with the animals and Ricket, very odd behaviour for Tomo herself since half the time even her friends couldn't get her to shut up. But Tomo figured that this was a whole new world she was coming into. A whole new set of rules to take in mind. Though she was for the most part a rebellious girl Tomo still held her parents upbringing in her genes. She could be decent, even normal, if she allowed herself to be. This was one such occasion. She hungrily took in her surrounding and the people around her and wondered only for a second if she was doing the right thing. But only for a second. The way that her heart beat against her chest and the rush she was getting just standing there was all the answer she needed. As the Ring Master walked to the center of the stage Tomo stilled and listened to his speech. A thrill went down her back and she grinned.

Axel

Axel removed the cigarette from his lips as one of his best friends had approached him. The bubbly brunette seemed to constantly flirt with him, which he of course returned the favor. He greeted her with a smirk, and tossed the roach of his cig to the dirt floor. He stepped on it lazily, putting the light out. Florence was a close friend of his at the circus, and the two were both similar in a few ways. They were both acrobats, so they kind of had to trust each other and get along for the most part. He enjoyed her company, and loved to flirt with anyone so she was basically a perfect companion of his. They both were extremely confident, and found that together they were even more confident.
It was then that another lovely lady of the circus approached them, in a soft pink show girl's costume. Axel barely noticed the small dog she carried, his eyes busy elsewhere on Jeannie. Axel was dating her, though he wasn't the best boyfriend. In his eyes if she was a showgirl, he could flirt with any girl he wanted as well. Though she was working, and he was just playing around. Their relationship wasn't too serious in Axel's eyes, though Jeannie constantly forgave him for mistakes because she loved him. He loved her too, but his idea of love had always been a bit warped.
He stayed somewhat quiet as the two talked, still somewhat out of it. He'd planned to sleep in a bit longer that morning, but forgot they'd have to meet the newbies anyway. He was drowsy and slightly spacey, glancing around the tent. He didn't bother to look at the wannabes yet, not really caring who they were. He let his gaze wander up and around the tent itself, watching the wind slightly ripple the fabric. It was then that he felt the hands of Florence on him, as she snuggled up into his side. He was caught slightly off guard, but didn't make any movement to show it. He let her pull him in front towards the oncoming tiger, who carelessly nudged him aside. He slid to Jeannie's side, who talked about her sister Bo's outfit. He couldn't help but check her out, the two were similar looking, both very attractive. She only complained for a moment about her own corset costume before whispering into his ear, "Help me take it off later?" he let a sly grin play on his lips, as he kissed her quickly on the head while she continued talking to Florence. His arm wrapped around Jeannie's waist, and he could feel the sequins under his fingers of her costume's bodice.
She broke their contact to help Florence up, and gave her a small kiss on the lips. Axel never minded this, in his own fantasies this was wonderful. Florence spoke to Axel then, jokingly upset he hadn't defended her. "Guess I'm off my game today.." He muttered, whether they could hear him or not. He was feeling a bit odd, and he couldn't really place it. Maybe he was just tired and over thinking things, but he felt something weird since he'd woken up and come into the main tent.
His attention returned back to the girls, who were kissing again, this time of Florence's action.
"I'm tired of all your teasing; from now on when you kiss me I'm kissing you back."
Then she turned to Axel, "And if you have any problems with you must get over it."
He laughed, "As long as I get my turn." he mused, taking Jeannie's free hand and luring her back to his side. He leaned his head in, and kissed her gently on the lips, and let his hand slide to the small of her back. He held her close as he could without upsetting Moxy too much, as he kissed Jeannie for a few more moments. He stopped and smiled softly, and kissed just below her ear on her neck, and whispered "You're still my favorite.." He stepped away, keeping his hand on her back, and looked to Florence. "Hmm.. Like any newbies that you see Florence?" he asked, he still hadn't even looked at them. He wasn't very observant, and prefered to think everything important was happening around only him. He probably should've looked sooner than he had, because he would've seen what had been bothering him. But he still didn't turn his head, or look over at the eyes that had found him already.

Image"As long as I get my turn." When Axel kissed Jeannie Florence couldn't help but smile. The two bitched about each other a lot, so when they were affectionate it always made her feel like their relationship was getting better for her two friends. Florence had never been one to date, but seeing the two of then sometimes made her wonder how it would be. "Hmm.. Like any newbies that you see Florence?" She rolled her eyes at the stupid question, "Of course I have!" Turning slightly she viewed the newbies and I'm a way they were all attractive, but some were better looking than others, two caught her attention most if all. Raising her arm she pointed to a girl, "I like the short girl with the brown hair, she looks pretty feisty," her finger then slowly trailed over to a boy with dark hair with lots of tattoos that was looking their way. With his gaze she flipped her hair in a flirtatious way and dropped her finger, "And who ever that sexy guy is..." She looked between the guy she had pointed at and Axel with a raised eyebrow, "And kind of looks like you in a strange way." Shrugging it off she decided she'd take it on herself to talk to that particular Wanna-Be. "Odd," saying so as she petted the top of Simon's head. Soon a snap vibrated across the room sending Simon away from her side, I was just enjoying that stupid cats company! When Simon left her eyes somehow landed back on the newbie. "I'll be right back." Telling the two she bowed and took her leave over to the raven haired boy.

Taking her time to the Wanna-Be's she stopped at the staring boy. "I couldn't help but notice you staring." As she talked she twirled her hair around her finger. "Oh," she knew she had told all the Wanna-Be's her name when entering, but some deserved it first hand, "I'm Florence, the amazing, beautiful, and absolutely sexy acrobat." Bragging had always been a good color on Florence. She had never really been modest, modesty never got anyone attention. "From curiously what would your act be?" She didn't fully care like she should have, but she didn't have some wish to know. Checking him out she smirked, "Because if you're an acrobat I could teach so many different things, since I'm the best in the circus." Placing her hand on his bicep she squeezed, "This feels nice, maybe you're another Strong Man." Giggling she put her free hand on his other bicep, "They're both very nice." Scanning over his body briefly she then scanned back to his face registering every inch she could see so far. "And you also have some very sexy tattoos," commenting on the ones she could see. He appeared to be another bad boy joining the circus, appeared. She didn't fully know the boy, but she loved what she was witnessing, his body looked like sex it's and she loved it greatly.

Axel&Felix

It hadn't fully clicked with Axel, until Florence walked away, who the dark mysterious boy was. At first he followed her finger to where she pointed, and he found himself staring right back into the eyes of the dark hair boy. He barely even heard his friend as she mentioned they looked alike. He completely forgot where he was, his mind only focusing on who he thought the boy was. At this point Lyfe had already given the wannabes a speech and they were about to receive a tour, but Florence quickly left Axel and Jeannie to themselves to talk to the boy. When he did realize, however, his body stiffened. He got a weird chill as he dropped his hand from Jeannie and pulled away. Felix's gaze never left his twin, but Axel turned from everyone towards the side of the tent. He crossed his left arm over his chest and rested his right elbow in his hand. He rubbed the back of his neck, but he could already feel the heat of his frustration.
If Jeannie said anything to him he ignored it, and abruptly murmured, "I have to go." He stormed out pushing anyone in his way out, leaving through the closest exit he could.
Felix watched as Axel saw him, a sudden look of unease crossed Felix, wondering what would happen. He noticed the loud girl from earlier approaching him, but he mostly focused on his brother. "I couldn't help but notice you staring." she confessed to him. His eyes shifted to her's for a moment, as he replied. "Oh, I apologize." She didn't seem to care for an apology, more interested in introducing herself. "I'm Florence, the amazing, beautiful, and absolutely sexy acrobat. From curiously what would your act be? Because if you're an acrobat I could teach so many different things, since I'm the best in the circus." She boasted, he was about to answer but he felt her hand on his bicep, as she gently squeezed one and then the other. "This feels nice, maybe you're another Strong Man. They're both very nice." she checked him out fully, but he didn't really notice because he was still watching his brother. He laughed shortly as she continued to compliment him. "And you also have some very sexy tattoos." He smiled at her genuinely, "Thank you, you're very kind." his voice was slightly deeper than his brother's but a bit slower and more kind. Axel's was slightly faster, still deep but less sincere. He spoke again, answering her previous question. "I'm undecided actually.. I was hoping I could find that out here.." he trailed off, realizing his brother was leaving. He took a couple steps before politely saying to her, "Could you excuse me?" though he left without really giving her time to saying much more to his face. He strode past her, and broke into almost a light jog past a few carnies towards the door Axel left through. He glanced at the girl he'd been with before in the pink costume, but continued to follow where his brother had gone.
Axel walked at an average pace about twenty feet in front of Felix, smoking a cigarette as he walked, of course. Felix called out his brother's name a few times, but he ignored him completely. He ran up behind him, grasping him on the shoulder and turning him around.
"Henry please just talk to me." he pleaded, desperately looking at his brothers somewhat familiar face.
Axel returned his begging with a look of disgust, and shrugged his hand off his shoulder. "It's Axel now. Don't call me Henry ever again." he spat, he glowered then continued with a question. "And what the fuck are you doing here?"
Felix remained calm, and sighed. His hand slipped off of Axel, and he ran it through his dark hair. "I came looking for you. Well, I hired someone to find you... And I watched your performance a week or so ago. They handed me a flyer and I thought maybe.. You'd talk to me again."
"Well, you thought wrong." Axel grumbled and turned again, beginning to walk off.
Felix ran in front of him, making him stop again. "I left. I told dad I didn't want the business. He's training Jeffery now..." he could tell this hadn't fazed Axel in the slightest. "I did it all for you. Give me another chance! It's been six years. You're my brother, my other half, we know each other better than we know ourselves!" He exclaimed, rambling slightly. He could feel himself hopelessly slipping on thin ice.
"Knew. We knew each other." He closed his eyes for a moment, his head hurt slightly. He threw his cigarette to the ground, and opened his eyes. His gaze to the roach, he stepped on it and spoke. "Not anymore." he said quietly, almost whispering. He didn't look up, only stood there thinking for a few moments.

Jeannie flushed after Florence kissed her. She pushed her away lightly as Axel pulled her closer. "As long as I get my turn," He said before kissing her lightly on the lips. He touched the small of her back making her shiver lightly. He pulled her close without hurting Moxie before kissing her again. He smiled at her making her knees buckle, kissing her on her neck. She moaned lightly, vaguely hearing "You're still my favorite." He said keeping his hand on her back.

He mentioned something to Florence about newbies. To which Florence of course did. She noticed her check out a girl and point her out before pointing to a boy, a boy she knew but didn't know much of. She saw Axel's facial expressions change and harden as he saw who she was talking to. "I have to go." He said before taking off.

She ran after him hearing "Henry, please just talk to me," She heard one voice said, that must have been Felix. The brother, Axel told her about once, when he was drunk.
"It's Axel now. Don't call me Henry ever again." he spat "And what the fuck are you doing here?"

"I came looking for you. Well, I hired someone to find you... And I watched your performance a week or so ago. They handed me a flyer and I thought maybe.. You'd talk to me again."
"Well, you thought wrong." She heard Axel say beginning to walk away, she crept behind a tent, careful no to be seen.
"I left. I told dad I didn't want the business. He's training Jeffery now... I did it all for you. Give me another chance! It's been six years. You're my brother, my other half, we know each other better than we know ourselves!" Felix said, she felt a pang, feeling bad for him.
"Knew. We knew each other. Not anymore." Axel said quietly .

She ran up to Axel, "Baby, listen I don't know the whole story, but why don't you hear him out." She said walking up to him and gently stroking his arm. "I think it's a really good idea." She kissed him on the cheek before turning to Felix. "Um hi Felix, my name is Jeannie, I'm one of the showgirls. Iv'e heard a little about you. She brushed a strand of hair out of her face. She knew she was dangerous territory but it seemed worth it.

Image"Thank you, you're very kind." She nodded her head, "There's no need to thank me, I'm just being honest." Compliments from her were a rare thing, so she did know the thank you was needed in return. To her a compliment was earned, not just handed out to all. "I'm undecided actually.. I was hoping I could find that out here.." "Oh, well..." With a drift in her voice she finally noticed his attention was not on her, but on someone behind her. It was a dumb thing to do but she looked back to see who it was, Axel and Jeannie? "Could you excuse me?" "What?" With shock and disbelief stammering her she stood in her spot as he walked away. Did some seriously just ignore my flirts?

Being very confident not a lot of things hurt her pride, but reject of a male was one of the few things that did. With her hand falling from her hand she was anger at herself for not being able to keep some new guys attention, Stupid Florence! With the rejection she was going to go rant to Jeannie. As she walked she made sure to walk slow due to the fake the ignorer was in front of her say, "Henry please just talk to me." Hanging her head in shame she wondered who he was speaking to, There's no Henry at the circus that I know off. Snapping her head up a few feet away from the new group she realized the Henry had been Axel, What? What the heck is going on? Florence wasn't sure if she should go over there, It's private and whatever it is Axel seems mad about it. Shrugging her shoulders she wanted to know what was going on she made her way over there standing silently to Jeannie's side.

"Knew. We knew each other." Florence had no clue what was going on whatsoever as she watched Jeannie trying to restrain him. So far all she knew was that this new one knew Axel and possibly Axel's rename was Henry. Florence wanted to say something, help her best friend relax the other, but she knew that wasn't the best idea and she wasn't even sure what was completely happening. "Um hi Felix, my name is Jeannie, I'm one of the showgirls. Iv'e heard a little about you." So his name is Felix... Seeing all the drama was irritating to her. She wanted to tell Axel to suck up his crap and be gentler like the Felix boy. He seemed to be concerned and caring towards Axel, Are the brothers? She had seen some resemblance... That must be it!

Being so close she could have chimed in and asked a million questions to her closest friend Axel, but instead she walked over to his side and placed a hand on his back trying to comfort him hoping it wouldn't backfire or he wouldn't snap at her for touching him. At times when he wasn't being a jackass to her she tried to comfort him when ever he shared things with her, normally when he was drunk. In a way it was like a stab in her back that he hasn't told her about his brother unlike Jeannie, Well they're dating... one voice said why the other shouted, You're still best friends!

Axel&Felix

Felix's face fell as Axel said the words. Each word cut him deeply, and he stood almost completely still as a girl ran up beside his twin. He didn't really look at her, and kept his eyes watching Axel, who still looked down towards the ground. He watched as he relaxed slightly under the touch of the girl who must've been his girlfriend. Though, his sudden calmness didn't last very long.
"Baby, listen I don't know the whole story, but why don't you hear him out." she said, "I think it's a really good idea." She then made a dangerous move, turning to Felix and introducing herself. Axel immediately pulled his arm away, about to storm off again but he felt the touch of Florence on his back. He stopped, and spoke before Felix or Jeannie could say anything else.
"You're right Jeannie." he admitted, looking up from the ground into her face. "You don't know the full story." He turned then, walking off again. "So stay out of it." he said coldly.
Felix quickly started after him, carefully moving around the girls. In a few strides he was just behind Axel, and he reached his hand out to his shoulder again, turning him around. Axel didn't fight it yet, but Felix could see the rage in his expression.
"Hen-.. Axel please. Don't be mad at her she's just trying to help." he searched for anything else he could to fix the situation.
"Well easy for you to say, she's basically sided with you already." he remarked, glaring at his brother.
"There are no sides," Felix reasoned, "it's just you and me."
Felix's calmness seemed to frustrate Axel more now than it had before. Felix usually kept him in balance, but now feelings of jealousy and resentment seemed to poison Axel's mind. Why did he have to come here to find him? Why'd he have to join? He pulled out a pack of marlboro reds, and took out a cigarette. He almost took out a second to hand to Felix out of habit, but stopped himself. He lifted the cig to his lips, and took out his zippo lighter. After the first few puffs and some thinking, he answered. Smoking always calmed his nerves.
"What do you want from me anyway?" he paused, "Money? I don't have any. And I don't know what else you could possibly want." He looked his brother in the eyes for the first time since he'd gotten there. He took a long drag after he spoke, and was kind enough not to blow all the smoke in his face. He tapped it, letting the ashes drop to the ground.
He waited until Axel finished speaking, "I only want a second chance."
Axel chuckled and looked down again, and rubbed the back of his neck with his free hand. "I can't do that."
"Can't or won't?" his brother asked in response.
"Doesn't matter because it's not happening." Axel taunted rather than said sternly, it seemed as though the boy had switched angry to torture. He enjoyed watching his brother struggle before him now that he realized he was in power.
Felix instantly realized what was happening and knew he'd lost the battle for that day. He sighed, frustrated himself.
"Are you ever going to grow up Axe?" he asked, pitying his twin.
This sent a shock of anger go through Axel again, but he kept quiet as Felix let himself ramble as he occasionally did.
"You obviously haven't grown above your games. Probably dating both the acrobat and the showgirl. Who I must admit, are both very attractive. They both seemed interested in me actually. I'm sure you're not surprised." He said what he knew would hurt Axel, but he didn't really know why he did it. Usually he found himself avoiding fights, but when someone got under his skin he always knew exactly what to say to upset them. He sort of saw it coming when it did, but he didn't try to stop it.
Axel tossed his cigarette aside and took in a short breath, holding it. He wound back his fist, and at full force punched his brother in the face. There was a distinct cracking noise as his knuckles smashed into Felix's nose.
He didn't even look back as he turned and walked off toward his personal tent, rubbing his hand that was slightly sore from the hit.
Felix's hands went instantly to his nose which was easily broken and gushing blood. His vision only blurred for a moment, as he looked around for something he could stop the bleeding with.

Smiles was in no way an expert on breaking up fights, much less fights between siblings. He'd never had a brother or sister and no one had ever really offered up to be his surrogate sibling so his experience in that department was zilch. Still when he happened to notice Axel storm off, followed by one of the new guys and then in turn by Jennie and Florence he had gotten up to investigate himself. Now Smiles isn't nosy but something told him this wasn't going to end well. You know that gut feeling you get before you enter a classroom where you forgot to do your homework for a particularly mean teacher? Yeah, that feeling.

He could hear snippets of their conversation so putting two and two together wasn't much of a problem. 'Course that didn't mean anything. Smiles was pretty sure he'd only figured the tip of the iceburg. To a gigantic mountain. As he neared he witnessed Axel's punch and he winced at the sound of the crunch the new guys nose made at the contact. He sprinted the rest of the way as Axel stormed off. Coming in between the two girls he smiled, though strained as it was. "Ladies, now's really not the time for this." Smiles calmly stated, though when was the right time was just a mystery as it was to any other. "Jeannie, honey. This really isn't helping the matter. The newbies have just arrived and I don't think Lyfe would approve of this..."

He rubbed her arms in a soothing, calming manner hoping to relax her so she'd think clearly. He looked straight at her eyes and stated in a calm but slightly authoritive way that was unfamiliar in Smiles, "Jeannie, these were words said in anger. Understand? These are words meant to hurt. Now, I want you to calm down for a few minutes then if you still want to pursue the matter do it in a more discreet time. For all you know... Felix could have said that just to set Axel off, which it did, as you can see. I'm sure when you're angry as well that you say a few things you don't really mean, correct? Think about it, please. Don't do anything rash..." Having said that he gently turned Jeannie around and motioned her to walk it off with a strained but soft smile.

He turned to Florence and sighed before running a hand through his hair. "Florence... I think it'd be best if you did the same. I wouldn't want you girls to get in trouble with the boss... Axel... Well, Axel should be left alone for now. Really. I know you girls care about him and all but Axels a big guy. He has to deal with his own demons at his own time. Not saying that you guys cant be there for him and all but don't... interfere. If he says back off, just back off. There's no need to make him more angrier than he already is..." he murmured. He patted her back before motioning her toward the opposite direction he'd motioned for Jeannie to go off in. He didn't even check to see if they'd done as he said but he hoped that they'd take him seriously.

Finally he turned to the new guy, Felix, and sighed. Grabbing his handkerchief from his pocket he offered it to the guy. Yes, it was old fashioned for a guy to be holding a handkerchief around but Smiles was... a peculiar guy. "Here. You might wanna hold your nose for a while. I know people often suggest you tilt your head back but I don't really recommend it. That just makes the blood go down your throat."

Tomo watched as the Ring Master made his way over to them. She gave in to the urge to eye the male and when she was satisfied with what she saw she couldn't help the smirk that tilted her lips. She found males just as exiting as she did females. Another thing her parents absolutely abhorred about her. Actually, if Tomo had a guess they'd much prefer her to continue gymnastics and athletics then take up relations with a girl. It was in their words the "epitome of shame" that their dear daughter liked both genders. She'd guess that was what actually made them lock her up... Tomo gave an involuntary shiver as she pushed away those dark memories. She could have forgiven them about that if they'd regretted it... but they hadn't. Tomo didn't ever think they would, which caused an ache to form in her chest where her heart was. She rubbed at the spot as if she could will it away but dropped her hand uselessly by her side. She mentally shook herself and paid attention to her possibly new boss.

"Hello, hello, hello," he said as he approached them. "How are my New Bloods today? I want to know your stage name, your talent, and if you feel comfortable telling me; your story, I'd love to hear it, if not then no pressure. I completely understand." First thing she'd noticed about him, besides his obvious good looks-Yum- was that he had a nice voice. Which she guessed was a good thing since as a Ring Master he talked quite a bit to the audience. Then, he seemed like a friendly. When she'd come to see the circus with her friends she'd been... well, detached for a lack of a better word. She'd been the audience and had been wowed with the performers but hadn't really looked at them. Guess I can do that more thoroughly now, huh?

She listened back in as Chalice, one of the new people like her, introduced herself. As per usual, it was a habit really, Tomo glanced at her and wondered for a moment if this place had some type of pheromone that pulled in attractive people. So far all the people she'd seen had leaned toward the oh so sexy/hot/cute side. She shook herself again. Pay attention Tomo. Not the time. she chastised herself. She listened for the rest of the introductions and watched slightly mystified as the tigers did a little performance for them. She wondered how long it had taken Damia to train them and how long it had taken for her tigers to get friendly with them. She found she felt respect toward the talented young woman and the circus people. They must have worked hard for them to be so talented at what they did, at what they loved. Thats what Tomo wanted. Lord, she wanted it so bad she could cry. She wanted so badly to have to work for what she loved because she knew that if she put in as much effort as these people did the ending reward would be that much sweeter and would have been worth all the troubles in the world.

"Stage name Tomo," she piped up seeing as the other girl seemed to finish. She smiled widely which was unlike her and continued, "Not very creative but trust me I could probably come up with worse. Talent...," she thought about that for a moment and decided to be truthful, "I don't really have any role in mind. I excel in gymnastics, athletics and music. Not sure if this is relevant or not but I'm pretty good with stunts. Kinda like what stunt actors do? Might be useful." Her smiled dimmed slightly before it was replaced by her more usual smirk to hide the fact that her 'story' still stung even after 1 or 2 years. "My parents hate me." she said simply as if it was a simple fact when in actual truth it was anything but simple. "That's basically the gist of my 'story' but I suppose I'll divulge the juicy details at a later time if you don't mind."

It was about this time she noticed that one of the guys was going off on his own. She wondered if he was allowed to do that for a moment before she laughed at herself. Who are you to talk about breaking rules? "Bah! It's none ah' yah' beezwax" as grandmamma would say. Her eyes trailed after him for a moment before they went back to Lyfe and Chalice.

Image "You obviously haven't grown above your games. Probably dating both the acrobat and the showgirl. Who I must admit, are both very attractive. They both seemed interested in me actually. I'm sure you're not surprised." How did I get thrown into this? It was a bother that she'd got thrown into Felix's mouth, she certainly wasn't dating Axel. She watched as her friend got mad and throw a punch. "Axel! She followed quickly behind, but stopped to examine the saddened Jeannie she could faintly hear. "What's wrong sweetie?" Her question was ignored as she watched the girl grow upset. "Are you fucking kidding me?!" "What?" "Well, are you?" "Are what!?" She was confused as Jeannie hissed and spoke coldly to her and Axel. "Are you cheating on me with our best friend?" "Jeannie, I-" "Cuz' he hasn't snapped on you yet." From being accused she felt another knife go in then twist deep inside of her. Jeannie knew how she felt about males, how she witnessed her mom being abused, and how she would never do anything to break Jeannie's trust. Since they were both her best friends, Axel greater than Jeannie though, she never did pick sides and treated them equally. With Axel's cheating Florence would tell Jeannoe every other time he would do it with him knowing she did so to try keeping everything between the three fair. "I can't be-" She was choked by tears. I'm crying? Crying was a thing the weak did, something she wasn't, but like humans she cried when she was hurt badly. Feeling like she lost the trust of a friend hurt, it hurt more than she thought it would. "You find me attractive?" Florence's eyes grew big at Jeannie's random sweetness. "Would you cheat on me?" Seriously? Jeannie had to know better than to think that of Florence, then to snoop so low and flirt with someone her boyfriend hated.

"I don't think you two even love each other anyways." Her voice was low, but she tried her best as she whipped away tears. "If either one of you loved each other you'd do everything to make one another happy, never do anything on purpose to hurt the other, always be there for each other, wouldn't cheat... or flirt with others...." it hurt her to speak most of all, but she felt like it was needed extremely bad, "you two just lust for each other, not love. I love the both of you though. I'm always there for you guys, I never get mad at either one of you... ever. Honestly, you two should just take a break." Shaking her head in disappointment she wanted comfort badly. When Smiles had walked over she listened and from the anger and pain she felt she dismissed it. Looking between Jeannie and Axel she sighed, "When you're done flirting I'll come back to talk to you." Seeming like Axel hasn't stopped his anger walking she started following behind him again to reaching his side.

"Are you ok?" Asking so as she took his hand I'm hers to look over it. "Your wrist looks a little sprung..." Sniffling she gently felt around his wrist. With her mother had once been a doctor she knew a few things. "If you wrap it it should be fine." Her silent sobbing turned to a loud outburst as she rested her head on his shoulder for comfort. With Axel being mad he knew he might pop her off, she hoped he wouldn't, but if he didn't shed keep doing it until he gave up. "I can't believe Jeannie would think that of me." The words barely coming out as she clung to him to make herself feel better. "You and her are like the only two people that know how my household was and she knows how much I'm afraid of dating a guy and how I'd never do anything to hurt her!" Maybe she could possibly have feelings for Axel, but nothing she'd never share with anyone. She knew very well how much Jeannie cared for him and she was afraid he or any other guy would take advantage of her, that's why she tried to only like girls. Florence honestly wanted to stay at the side of Jeannie, but with the way she had accused her she couldn't pick her over Axel, she caused her to much pain right now and the guy she had been flirting with was causing drama. She could deal with a lot of things, but drama was't one of them, she couldn't do it. She loved attention, but if drama followed it wasn't worth her time, not worth it. Maybe this was why Axel was he best friend over anyone else though. He was for the most part drama free in her eyes, basically perfect the way he treated her minus their small bickers. He might have had faults, but he had never done anything wrong to her so she couldn't judge him. The both were a lot a like, but at the same different. "Jeannie may have left your side, but I'll always choose you over anyone." Fiddling with her hair she tied it into a knot to keep stray strands from sticking down the water rolling down her face. Hating the way it felt to cry she turned her head away from him so he couldn't see, it was embarrassing for her, even worse than being rejected. "I'm so sorry I talked to him. If I knew you didn't like him I never would have!" The nerves that had somewhat calmed came back to their unsettled state as she felt bad for talking to Felix. She felt stabbed in the back and now she felt like she did it to him. If she had known she wouldn't have, she would never talk to some her closet friends disapproved in, Gosh, I can't believe I flirted with him! Currently Florence didn't feel like a good friend to either one of them. Jeannie seemed to want nothing to do with her and she flirted with the enemy. "I'm so sorry."

Lyfe's eyes rested on Tomo as she spoke, absorbing what she had to say. "Well, Tomo, here I'm practically papa bear and I like you already, so I hope you feel at home. As for your talent, we'll find a place for you, most definitely. I'm thinking along the lines of either showgirl or acrobat, we'll see," he gave her a charismatic smile before allowing his gaze to drift to the quiet teen beside her. He listened intently to Pheonix, allowing his interest to settle onto his face. "Fire," he said with a curt nod. "Noted."

He was about to address the forth New Blood, but he wasn't where he left him. He could have swore there were four of them. He furrowed his brows just as an arm slung over his shoulder and a warm body was next to him. He looked to his side, grinning widely when he saw his companion. At the quip regarding Ghost's looks, Lyfe couldn't help, but smirk. He lowered his voice for only Ghost to hear, his tone was utterly flirtatious. "If I actually said half of the things I thought about you, Ghost. I don't think we'd be friends anymore, mate." He quirked a brow, leaving that flirtatious smirk on his face as Ghost mingled with the rest of the recruits. It was refreshing to see the man trying. He could see through the facade, but he admired the effort. He was about to dazzle the recruits with his charm, but Ghost's outburst took him aback. It was then that he heard Jeannie's profanity and the commotion.

Lyfe's easy-going expression, hardened in both annoyance and complete outrage. Usually it was hard to tell when Lyfe was angry, for he didn't yell or shout, but his face would go blank of emotion and his voice would get lower with power, but his eyes displayed all of the fire that was going ablaze within him. It's quite frightening when he's truly enraged, but right now he was mildly irritated. He flashed his eyes to both Shiloh and Ricket.

"Shiloh," he said, tightly, trying in vain to keep his cool. "Please, escort these lovely ladies to their tents, dear. Ricket, you can take Phoenix, here. I have business to attend to." He straightened his jacket before turning away from the group and making a beeline to the commotion. He was mortified when he saw the behavior. There a recruit on the floor with a bleeding nose, Axel was storming away, Florence was crying, Jeannie was pissed, and Ghost was traumatized. This was fuckery!

"What the bloody hell is going on?" Lyfe boomed when the New Bloods were out of earshot. "Axel, get your arse back here," he narrowed his eyes at the retreating figure before looking at Smiles as he assisted the injured man. "Smiles, please take the recruit and get him fixed up. You know where the First-Aid kit is, thank you." He took a deep breath, taking of his top hat and holding it in his hands, twisting it over and over again until he was calm enough to speak. "Okay," his words were dripping in pent up rage as he slowly spoke. "I am beyond disappointed in your behavior. Now, I have no idea what happened and I will give you a chance to explain the abomination you've displayed, but," he raised his voice slightly. "It better be a damn good reason, do I make myself clear? First, let me explain something to all of you before you even tell me anything. This is still a place of bloody business! Now, I understand if any of you have quarrels, but those stay out of my big top! Once you're in this tent, all of your bullshit is left outside. Next time, take it outside and away from the big top! Because of this, you've upset Ghost and Damia! They had to run away from the chaos, think about the emotional distress you caused them. When I'm done with you lot, I want you to apologize to them both." He huffed, straightening his stature and placing his hat back onto his head. "Now you may explain to me why you felt the need to disgrace this circus. Axel, I'll let you go first since you happen to have one my recruit's blood staining your knuckles."

Lyfe's honey eyes bored into Axel, coaxing him viciously to tell him the truth. He made a mental note to comfort Ghost and Damia when was done with his scolding. He knew that they needed a bit of alone time at the moment, for they were bound to be fragile at the moment.

"All us carnies are family, but you are my petite soeur." Damia couldn't help but smile at that, but as soon as it was there, the smile was gone. The thought pleased her greatly, to even think someone would consider her their little sister, but the thing was, she was already someone else's little sister, true, that person was as horrible as her parents, but they were still family right? Damia ground her teeth together and looked away. They were getting closer and closer to her home town every time they moved, pretty soon they would be there and...and what? Would her parents know? Would the try to take her back? How could they through? She was a grown woman, a adult in all areas, nothing they could do would bring her home. Of course that didn't stop the fear. "You may follow if you wish," Damia looked back up at Ghost and nodded slightly, trailing behind him as he approached Lyfe and started to talk along with the Ringmaster. All of there words rolled off of her like water falling over the side of a waterfall until-

Suddenly the sound of something breaking filled the air around her, making Feral and Simon tense. Damia's head snapped towards the sound, and suddenly she felt sick. Had Axel just hit that guy? Flashes filled her head as her knees went weak, memoirs. Damia could remember one time when her nose had been broken like that, the last time she had put up with her family's crap. She had brought home another report card, all of the grades failing, her father and mother had been enraged, they had always hit her, never her perfect siblings, but Damia had been open game, she was a screw up, she deserved every hit that came her way, right? Her father had done the same thing Axel had done. He let his rage get the best of him, and all at once he had brought his fist down on her face, the same cracking noise had filled the air as blood poured down her nose. When her parents just sent her to her room, that was when Damia ran away. She had ended up going to to hospital so she could get it fixed, through there was a small scar on the bridge of her nose, it was only noticeable if someone was right in her face. "Fuck..." her stomach turned at the harshness in his tone. Feral was by her side in an instant, allowing her to lean on the Tiger as her knees nearly gave out. Simon came up behind Damia and started to nudge her away from the tent. "I don't think I can handle this right now, please excuse me." Damia looked between Lyfe and Ghost, before waving towards Lyfe as well. "I'm sorry Lyfe, I cant." With that, the Tigers pulled Damia away and back towards her own tent, where she collapsed into a small ball.

These memories were the reason she couldn't sleep at night, the reason she didn't talk to people, why she avoided large crowds and didn't trust anyone, they crippled her when they were presented to the front of her mind. Feral curled herself around Dimia while Ceil and Simon sat in front of her tent's door, guarding it and keeping people away. Damia only layed there for a few minuets before she managed to push the memories back, stand up, and change into something better for training. She would vanish with her tigers for awhile for some practice, get her mind off of everything, and then return like nothing had happened. Silently, the small girl changed into a red tank top, a tan blouse, a pair of jeans, and black boots. She discarded her mask and top had and threw her short choppy hair up into a small bun in the back of her head. On the way out, Damia grabbed her notebook, pencil and small camera recorder that she used to record the training session's. She numbly walked out of her tent, setting a brisk pace and getting away to the best place she could find. She ended up in a small clearing not too far from the circus little camp, but not too close either.

As soon as she set up the recorder, and declared that this was training session four fifty, she set right to work, her note book in one hand and her pencil in the other while Ceil sat on her shoulder. Feral and Simon followed every order that was demanded of them as they went over all of the basics, and then Damia started to go into her new tricks and ideas. When she did this, she ended up working with the tigers, in other words, getting down into the dirt and getting a pretty good work out. She ended up rolling around in the dirt with the tigers, leaping around with them, and performing half of the tricks they should at the same time they did. After nearly an hour and a half, Damia was sweating, had dirt smudges here and there and had a small scratch on her left cheek under her eyes from Simon's claws, but she felt great. Her heart was pounding and adrenaline was racing through her, making her move as fast as the tigers could and do nearly all of the moves they could, even if it didn't look as good and it looked strange, it was an interesting sight to see. Damia had been told before that the reason so many people liked to watch her train with her tigers is because she actually got down onto the ground and trained.

When she worked with them like this, her mind shut down and she let a more animal side of her take over, it was like magic, it was oddly beautiful, and completely relaxing. "Encore une fois!" Damia did a flip over Ferals back and landed gracefully on her feet. Simon tilted his head to the side slightly, before nodding as if he understood, and then mimicked her moved by running from a few feet away, and then jumping right over Feral. He made a small spiral in the air, and then landed perfectly. Damia made a whooping sound and dropped down to pet the tiger before demanding they do it again. She wanted to get all of these new tricks perfect, she had a new one in mind, but she would need more help than just herself. Perhaps she could talk Lyfe or Ghost in helping her.

Jeannie watched Florence walking away with Axel and felt tears streaming out of her eyes. She was going to run up and apologize to Axel for believing Felix, knowing everything he told her but head Lyfe's angry voice before she could.

"What the bloody hell is going on?"
Lyfe's voice boomed "Axel, get your arse back here, Smiles, please take the recruit and get him fixed up. You know where the First-Aid kit is, thank you."He seemed pissed, and obviously was trying to control his anger. "I am beyond disappointed in your behavior. Now, I have no idea what happened and I will give you a chance to explain the abomination you've displayed, but, It better be a damn good reason, do I make myself clear? First, let me explain something to all of you before you even tell me anything. This is still a place of bloody business! Axel, I'll let you go first since you happen to have one my recruit's blood staining your knuckles."

She glanced at Lyfe, who obviously was blaming Axel "It's not Axel's fault," She said to Lyfe " Felix was out of line." She concluded "And I blew up because Felix said that Axel was cheating on me with Florence," She turned to Florence "Sorry I was stupid for believing him."

She turned to Axel and stood by his side, taking his hand in his "Won't happen again Lyfe I swear" Tears sprang up in her eyes "I promise," She squeaked. She had to admit she was terrified. She never defied or said anything against Lyfe, she especially didn't stick up for anybody.

She turned to Florence and smiled "Am I still your favorite?" She asked hopefully. She hardly ever showed any sign of caring when Axel cheated on her, but with Florence it was personal. She furrowed her brow and gazed at Axel hoping all was forgiven.

Axel&Felix

He was only in slight shock as his brother walked away. The pain of rejection hurt more than the blow to his face had. Even now as he could feel the pulse of blood in his head he still believed that. He only glanced at Axel's so called girlfriend after he was punched in the face, slightly shocked she'd be flirting with him at a time like this. Then again, it was true he thought both of the girls were attractive. Still inappropriate. He didn't speak because the other girl, the confident one from earlier, began lecturing the showgirl of the complications of her relationship with Axel. It seemed somewhat messed up, but from the sound of it he could believe it was Axel.
Axel had never really had a serious girlfriend, nor had he brought any girls home really. As they were growing up he flirted and had the attraction of many, though Felix did as well he prefered to focus on other things. Axel's constant entertainment of women was normal, considering he got more attention picking up girls than he did anywhere else. Usually his jerk like facade had city girls flocking to him, but there was the occasional few he could never get. Those girls seemed more interested in his sweet, quiet brother. The two tried not to let it get between them, and Felix always told girls like this he wasn't interest because really, he wasn't. The few girls Felix did date he was more protective over, and serious about. When the brothers still spoke Axel knew his boundaries and never crossed them.
The acrobat and the showgirl were then approached by a man. He was tall, and easily more buff than the twins. He spoke to both of them, impressively knowing the exact words to say. Not many people can be so honest and caring at the same time. Though he spoke the truth, the word weren't blunt nor sugarcoated. He got his point across without upsetting either of them, and always kept a warm, friendly smile. Felix didn't exactly listen to what he was saying, but more watched. He then turned to Felix himself, who was helplessly gushing blood into his hands. The guy generously handed him a cloth.
Felix gratefully took the handkerchief from the man, that he found was called Smiles.
"Here. You might wanna hold your nose for a while. I know people often suggest you tilt your head back but I don't really recommend it. That just makes the blood go down your throat." he suggested.
Felix muffled out a thank you, and did as he was advised.
By this time Florence had run after Axel, after she'd spoken to Smiles.
~
He only heard half of her words really, slightly because they were said between sobs and also because his mind was racing. He couldn't decide if he regretted the punch of not, knowing it would set off drama, but then again Axel was always found in the midst of everything. You could say he was drawn to it, or maybe it was drawn to him. Actually, he seemed to create it. Whether he meant to or not, fighting with his brother had lead to a domino effect. Being irresponsible as many careless boys are, he still blamed Felix for it all. He shouldn't have come.
"Are you ok?" she asked, taking his hand into hers. He barely flinched, ignoring any sort of pain he had.
"It's fine." he mumbled, not speaking loud enough for her to register.
"Your wrist looks a little sprung... If you wrap it it should be fine." She offered, though he disregarded it.
"It's okay." he said, a bit roughly. She was only trying to help, afterall. He felt a stab of regret for not being kinder, as she burst into tears. He panicked a bit, not knowing if this was his fault as well. He stopped as she rested her head on his shoulder.
"I can't believe Jeannie would think that of me. You and her are like the only two people that know how my household was and she knows how much I'm afraid of dating a guy and how I'd never do anything to hurt her!
He bit his lip, keeping silent as she continued again. He wasn't one to ever show much of a sensitive soft side, but he did feel guilty about his two favorite girls getting hurt like this.
"Jeannie may have left your side, but I'll always choose you over anyone. I'm so sorry I talked to him. If I knew you didn't like him I never would have!" She confessed, still in hysterics basically. "I'm so sorry."
Axel didn't really move, somewhat at a loss for words. He had no idea what to do with a woman crying, especially crying on him.He let out a very small sigh, and sort of awkwardly patted her back.
"You have nothing to be sorry for..." he started, but it was then that he heard the voice of Lyfe.
"Axel, get your arse back here," he boomed, calling after the boy.
Reluctantly, Axel turned and slowly returned. He was like a puppy knowing he'd gotten in trouble, and Lyfe was his owner calling him over. He hesitated slightly as her turned Florence around too, bringing her with him.
"Okay, I am beyond disappointed in your behavior. Now, I have no idea what happened and I will give you a chance to explain the abomination you've displayed, but," his voice grew more strict and angry, "It better be a damn good reason, do I make myself clear? First, let me explain something to all of you before you even tell me anything. This is still a place of bloody business! Now, I understand if any of you have quarrels, but those stay out of my big top! Once you're in this tent, all of your bullshit is left outside. Next time, take it outside and away from the big top! Because of this, you've upset Ghost and Damia! They had to run away from the chaos, think about the emotional distress you caused them. When I'm done with you lot, I want you to apologize to them both. Now you may explain to me why you felt the need to disgrace this circus. Axel, I'll let you go first since you happen to have one my recruit's blood staining your knuckles."
At first Axel felt a bit ashamed, but at the same time he felt no obligation to tell the man anything. Apparently they caused a commotion he wasn't aware about because they were outside. It wasn't his fault that Ghost and Damia had been nosy enough to see what was happening. All of these people standing around him now he felt like shouldn't have any say in it. His brother stood a few feet away holding a blood soaked cloth to his nose as Smiles went to help him, but Axel didn't even glance in his direction. He was about to tell Lyfe he could 'mind his own fucking business' but he didn't. Partly because he knew he would regret it, and the voice of Jeannie broke in.
"It's not Axel's fault, Felix was out of line. And I blew up because Felix said that Axel was cheating on me with Florence,"
She turned to Florence "Sorry I was stupid for believing him.. Won't happen again Lyfe I swear... I promise." she reassured.
Maybe it was the gentleness in her voice, or just that he did love her in whatever sick twisted way he showed it. He relaxed again, letting her take his hand and stand close to him again.
Before he was even able to look back at life, Felix spoke.
"I'm Axel's brother." he started, looking to Axel, maybe for some sort of approval. He was only given a turn of his twin's head, looking away from his stare. He sighed, and continued to explain a bit, though Lyfe had asked for Axel first. "We aren't on the best terms, obviously." He admitted, "It was indeed my fault for upsetting him, and I apologize for any harm it's caused your circus." He paused, looking back to Axel. "I was only trying to reunite with my brother."
Axel could feel the bubble of anger in him again, slowly simmering inside him. He hated his brother. But sometimes his rage overpowered his reason. There was more jealousy and resentment than actual rationalization. It had been six years, but time could wear down or build up a grudge. Axel wasn't one to let things like this go.
Axel began to speak, a hint of pleading in his voice. Though he wasn't exactly in the right, he hoped Lyfe would be somewhat understanding. "Lyfe... I know I've upset the others but.." he stopped, not really knowing where he was going with this. "I..." he trailed off. "I can't,-won't be associated with him." He looked to Lyfe and spoken as meaningfully as he could, "You of all people would understand that I don't need to explain further. It's a family matter, and I'm sorry it got out of hand."
He chose most of his words carefully, he never seemed to blame himself. He also wished he hadn't used the word family, knowing the only family he felt a part of was the one he'd just upset. He didn't regret hitting his brother, but he did regret doing it somewhere that would bring this much attention. He'd been waiting to do it almost all his life, and he could help but feel a sense of relief. Maybe, just maybe, it would make things slightly more bearable around his twin. Not that he'd be spending any time with him.
Felix the spoke again, "I hope this doesn't affect either of us as far as the circus goes?" he stated, but also asked for a response. He wasn't ready to give up on his brother, and hoped Lyfe would give them both a second chance. Then again, Felix could imagine that Axel had acted out before. He wanted desperately to be able to stay, that way he'd have a reason to be around his brother, and be able to experience the life he'd lived for six years without them. To Felix, the six years had been empty, but he could easily see Axel had found somewhere that people seemed to accept him. Not like him necessarily, but tolerate. And that was something Felix had always done for Axel. He just wanted another chance, and maybe here the two could both be accepted, and Felix wouldn't half to feel incomplete.

Lyfe listened to both parties, assessing the problem silently. He rubbed his chin as they all spoke as he thought about what to say that would defuse all of the tension. He hated being the type of authority figure that had to scold his friends. They were so much more than employees in his eyes, they were friends and family, so it aggravated him more than anything when he had to be that guy.

His hard features softened and he sighed, completely understanding Axel's reasoning. He didn't pry any further, for he and Axel had an unspoken understanding when it came down to their histories. Ask no questions. He placed his hand on Axel's shoulder, tilting his head a tad as he displayed his understanding on his face.

"I see," he said, nodding his head. "No more explanations are needed. I'll leave it to you mend things with your brother and fix what is broken," he smiled just a little as he saw a bit of himself in Axel. "Just try to do it in a less violent manner, okay? I don't need the others thinking it's okay to solve their issues with their fists." He then squeezed the lad's shoulder before turning his attention to Felix. He could see the similarities between the two; from the straight line of their noses to the shape of their heads.

"How is your nose? Broken?" Lyfe asked, "I won't hold this against you, now that I know the reason. However, I suggest you give him time to blow off steam before you talk to him again...he might hit something more painful than your nose next time." He was joking, but there was a bit of truth. If Axel was anything like Lyfe used to be, things could get ugly. Lyfe then turned his gaze over to both Florence and Jeannie about to speak, but Ghost came to him before he could. He offered his friend a worried glance before nodding towards him.

"Hopefully, these issues will be resolved or at least, held at bay before our next performance. I wish you luck," he said to them all then gave Ghost his undivided attention. He wrapped his arm around the other man's shoulder, pulling him close to his side. "I have a bottle of whiskey with our names on it, mate. It's in my tent." He then ushered his friend into his domain. Once they were alone, Lyfe told his friend to make himself at home. "Make yourself at home, my friend." His tent wasn't as grand as most would think. It was more decorated than the others, due to him being there longer than all of them, but it was the same size as everyone else. He had an actual bed unlike some of them along with a full length mirror, a truck full of clothes, and an assortment of snacks that he liked to hide in a small chest that he purchased when the circus was just getting off of the ground.

Lyfe pulled out the bottle of Bourbon from underneath his bed, popping it open and taking a swig before offering it to Ghost. "Bottoms up," he smiled reassuringly as he sat on his bed. "Do you wish to talk about what happened? I'm here if you need me."

Jeannie smiled as Lyfe forgave Axel and didn't punish him. She sighed and glanced at his hand in hers. His knuckles were bruised up pretty badly. She held it up closer to her and examined lightly tracing her fingers over it. She gently kissed his hand before looking up at him "C'mon we need to bandage this up and ice it," She said picking Moxy up and tucking her in the crook of her arm. She glanced at Florence still stung by the rejection.

"I love you, but you turned on me. Axel's my favorite." She said, which Jeannie countered with "That's fine as long as I remain his favorite." She honestly didn't mean it but the truth was she knew Florence had feelings for Axel even if she wouldn't admit it. She blinked back a tear, and tilted her head back.

She turned back to Axel pushing that thought away before saying "I'll take care of it in my tent, " She said tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. She turned to Felix and gave him a sympathetic smile "Welcome to the circus," She said before turning and walking, her hand still in Axel's toward his tent. She stopped and mumbled "You can come too if you want, you know where it is." To Florence though deep down she wasn't sure if she really wanted her to come.

Once in her tent she had Axel sit up on her bed surrounded by big fluffy pillows. She had to admit he looked out of place especially since the sun was out giving the tent a hazy pink glow. She wrapped his knuckles before walking over to her trunk full of regular clothes. She used to feel awkward getting dressed in front of him, exposed. Now she didn't even notice. She stood in front of him letting him untie her corset before letting it fall revealing her lacy lingerie. She no longer felt sexy just tired and hurt. She took those off for a pair of more comfortable but still sexy (She had been shopping for underwear at VS since she was thirteen and hardly wore anything else) pair of bra and panties. "So are we ok? I'm really sorry I flirted with Felix it's just... You and Florence have this... connection," She said slipping on one of Axel's tees he let her wear that landed on her upper thigh, it was soft, and smelled like Axel. She had a habit of wearing it whenever she was upset.

She suddenly felt nervous, she wasn't sure why she just was. She took her hair out of its design letting it fall below her chest, she examined it. It hadn't been this long since she and Axel were first dating. He convinced her to cut her hair to cut it to her collarbone, big mistake. She rubbed her makeup on leaving only her lip gloss before lying next to them "I mean she gets you."

Smiles nodded as Lyfe sent him for the first aid kit. Sure hope the guy knows what to do with it 'cuz I sure as hell don't, he thought as he jogged back into the Big Top in search for said kit. He was no nurse, and with his expirience he never wished to be one. Heck, hospitals were a no-go point for Smiles. Broke a leg or arm? Better make do with a makeshift cast. Had a cold? Go to the nearest pharmacy and get over the counter meds for that shit. He dying? Well, guess its goodbye. 'Cuz there was no way in hell they'd get Smiles to willingly step a foot inside those damn sterile buildings. It was the cause of much frustration to many of his carnie friends when he'd gotten injured on accident or sick but Smiles had yet to got to the hospital or a clinic and he'd make sure he was dead before ever doing so.

Grim thoughts but it was what it was. Smiles always had a ready yes at the tip of his lips but if he ever did utter a no that was that. No if's, and, or but's about it. Spotting the first aid kit he grabbed for it and jogged back toward Felix. Handing him the kit he smiled a bit sheepishly and rubbed the back of his neck. "Um, I'm no doctor so I sure hope you know what to do with it... Anything else you need, just ask me. Names Smiles, if you haven't guessed. Not the best of ways to meet a person but hey, Welcome to the circus." He smiled widely, living to his nicknames sake yet again. "By the way, that looks like it hurts. Think you might need ice to stop it from swelling too bad?"

The edges of Tomo's lips twitched downward as she watched from afar the commotion that was taking place only a few feet away from the big tent. She was use to watching fights as some of her guy friends were prone to acting up when they were a bit too into their bottles but that still didn't mean it sat well in her stomach. Sure, she'd let a fist or two fly easily if she was pushed too far. She was sure anyone with a sense of self preservation would do it in dire situations... Still, she was more of a lover than a fighter. Not that anyone would have guessed by their preconceived notions. Tomo was used to it though so that softened the blow of their judgement a bit. She turned away from the scene as Lyfe put down the law. Situation taken care of? Maybe. She tilted her head as Shiloh smiled at them. Just as quickly Tomo smiled in return, albiet with a little more enthusiasm than was needed but she coudn't help that. Attractive people did that to her.

She siddled next to the quiet clown as she guided Chalice and herself off to what Tomo guessed would be their new living quarters. As they passed a few smaller tents and trailers she chuckled over the things some signs said. In her mind she was already trying to guess at each signs real meaning and each trailers use. It was quirky and kinda cute. It made it almost seem like a whole new world and Tomo guessed for them it truly was. With any luck, you'll soon be a part of it, her mind reminded her and her smile widened at the thought.

"So, is that sort of stuff a norm around here? Should I have pepper spray at hand? Or does it only occur every full moon? When the sane go insane and the crazies are suddenly sound of mind." she asked Shiloh, hoping to hear the quiet females voice again and curious as to the answer. She grinned after a bit. "Not that I'm spooked by it or anything but I'd like a fair warning if one of you guys decides you have a personal vendetta against me and just lays a big one on me. I'll behave." Something about those last words rang in her ears and her smile dropped a fraction before turning into a smirk. "For the most part."

Remembering Phoenix's words on his panic attack issue gave Tomo a paused. She looked off toward the trees before speaking up again. Her voice was a smooth nonchalance that had been perfected to be believable but even then there was still a slight steely undertone to it. "By the way, I don't take well to being locked in anything... Rooms, closets, tent, trailers... Cars, though I can probably tolerate it if theres a good reason to lock the doors... Bars on windows... Anything. If I'm in an enclosed space and I know for sure that I'm not locked in there's no problem but if I'm not... Well, let's just say those are my full moons..." she trailed off with a humorless chuckle and shrugged. Swirling her index finger around her ear she laughed and cooed [i]koo koo[i] softly. [color#990000]"Forgot to mention that to the dude back there. That's about the only oddity I know that I have so... Fair warning has been given."
