Introduction

The year is 2013 and the world has gone to shit.

In the summer of 2005, I found out I was a "Homo Superior", as known as a Tyuman. A humanoid with well... super powers I guess. We were said to be the next stage in evolution. We were also supposed to be the savior of humans according to many religions.

In the fall of 2003 a virus was formulated by the Russians to attack Iran on a bio-warfare level. The virus was very contagious and it's main purpose was to attack the brain and shut it down. The problem was, it didn't stay shut down. Humans were rising up from their body bags to wander and consume living flesh in a lifeless, thoughtless state. Zombies.
Iran was quarantined immediately but the out break couldn't be contained. Russian soldiers brought back subtle traces of the virus to their family and friends. Mass chaos ensued. By the Spring of 2005, the virus reached North America on a large scale as cities came crumbling down.

Tyuman's weren't affected by the virus. If I were a human, I'd be dead now but the sheer amount of bites and scratches I've received. But I guess I was lucky. Tyuman's had their own problem though - each other. Many Tyuman's believed the virus was an "act of God" to eliminate the humans and it was our job to rise up above. While others believed that we had been sent to protect humans and failed. So we were in our own state of war as it was.

Some humans stayed on the run, avoiding major cities and populations. Many sought out refuge in the cities, where supplies were more abundant. And some even sought help from the Tyumans, we called those humans brave. Or stupid.

New Raven was where my brothers and I travelled to. It was a very big city known to be the home planet of Tyumans. They were right. Mutants ran the city on an underground level. Some lived in hospitals, others large malls and others executive business buildings. The doors were locked and the food was fought over as most mutants tried to ride out the storm of zombies. But our differences got the better of us.
The Tyuman started grouping together and recruiting stronger Tyuman for more security and protection. We were divided by our conflict and beliefs. And pretty soon, acts of terrorism and violence were striking as food, water, medical supplies and weapons began to become more and more scarce. The Tyuman formed gangs.

The Angels are often around doing the dirty work for The Saints. Although they are still prude and powerful, the Angels are known for doing a lot of shady deals and sketchy business. The Bloodhounds are the second most powerful gang in New Raven. They are the underdogs and are always trying to get back at The Saints any time they can. Although an anti-human gang, their main concern is power and not dominance over the humans. They could care less about the less superior. They are however, shit disturbers and love to splatter satanic symbols and messages all over the city. Not prone to attacks, they try to taunt until someone else attacks them.

The Bandits are very loyal and are known to be partiers. They try to keep under the radar but will not hesitate to attack if need be. Bandits are also thieves to any enemies, with very low morals when it comes to anyone outside their clan.

Location - The Underground sewer system
Human-Friendly
Mascot - Bull Terrier
Other symbols - Diamonds, knives, gems and jewels, etc.

Allies - The Bloodhounds

Foes - The Todd Foxes

The Diamond Dogs are eccentric and wild. They hold almost no morals, even to their own team. A Diamond Dog would stab you in the back for a piece of your sandwich. They are highly untrusted even by their allies. A bit off the rocker, you really never know what they're up to or who'll they'll strike. The Dogs are the psychos of New Raven.
Characteristics
- Ruthless
- Crazy
- A little weird
- Gory

The Jackals
Color - Black

Location - Unknown (possibly outside city)
Unknown

Mascot - Jackal/Coyote
Other symbols - Unknown

Allies - None

Foes - None

The Jackals are a mysterious gang that rarely show their faces in New Raven. Nobody really knows who they are, only that the gang is formed of the most powerful Tyuman's. They have no enemies but will attack whoever they please. They are extremely dangerous and tend not to be mentioned often, few people have even witnessed them and survived. Nobody knows if they live in the city and many rumors are circled around the gang.

Confused and worried Rowean moved to the outskirts of the group, the boy who had signed she rapidly signed back, Whats going on?? Who are you? Them and did she really just go from a dog to a human? Her face was still hidden and her back pack had been quickly straped to her back. "Whats going on? Fox? Bandit?" She had her own gun drawn, but hidden and unseen. Quickly she let her body position it self in a way that hinted that she could spring anyway without a thought, she did not like not knowing what was going on. SHe was hungary and given the rest of her food to the 'girl'. Insinct kept her back to a wall, appearing calm and relaxed she stood, still in a position to jump away at any moment. Her tiny body wouldnt bring much attention to her but she knew that talking to someone directly would possiably be dangerous, "Hey girl, Explian some of this...This...Shit to me sense I did just feed you" And becasue Im lost, confused and expecting a long, slow death, Rowean thought.

It was a dangerous game and chance she had just taken by calling attention to herself, she wasnt scared, she just didnt praticularly like being shot at. "Dont shoot at me" She warned under her breath her eyes, that they couldnt see, flashing over the peope that sent off odd vibes. Her weapon was loaded, and Rowean had locked on to a perfect escape route if they did shoot though. Legs tensed, barley, she was ready to run but she wanted answers first, Flashing a look at the Signing guy, she couldnt tell if he was a good guy or a bad one. THe guy who had just walked away made her courious and part of her knew she would follow after she got her answers.

Feral lowered her head dramatically at the loss of her only hope of food. Now what? The boy with the bandana suddenly appeared uncomfortably close to her. She blinked her eyes slowly and backed off a little. His bandana moved as he talked and she watched the movement instead of looking into his eyes.

"You've got a very unique power missy. Don't let it go to waste."

"Thanks?" She said skeptically. Is he complimenting me? Finally she looked down at the book he held out to her then back at him, then back to the book. "Uh... okay?" Then he disappeared from under her nose, and finally vanish into the distance.

Suddenly, a whistling noise got her attention immediately. She looked up quickly to find Kitsune, a guy she knew from The Todds. Although she couldn't see his face, she knew it was him. The hair gave it away. Feral brought a hand over her brow to shield the sunlight while she looked up at Kitsune.

"Top o' the morning, Kit!" she yelled, waving widely with one hand. Without looking away from Kitsune on the roof, she shoved the book into the remaining guy's arms and ignored her instructions. "Got any food, buddy ol' pal?"

Even now in human form, she was visibly displaying dog-like behaviour. She paced without looking away from Kit, like an anxious pet begging for a scrap.

She was still entranced with the hope of food that she jumped when the girl had spoke up. She hadn't really said much in a while, I guess she was just taking it all in. "Uhm, have you been in a coma for the last six years?" It was a little mean to say, after all she did smell new in town. "Yeah, sorry about the food." she lied, "Dog senses go crazy for that stuff." Feral laughed as if it were the most normal thing in the world.

Growling Rowean looked at the girl, "You know the Hope Compound? It was finally over ranlast week, I lived there my whole life. I just want to know whats going on so I can leave, I can find more food no biggie" Her delicate voice started off mean, boardering rude then ended up kind. She was an odd person, perfering to be alone but not able to be mean, she wanted to follow the 'Fox' man, "What are Fox's? and Bandit's" She asked and keeping a watchful eye on the man atop the building. "I'll be out of your way, soon but I dont want to walk blindly into danger if I can help it." SHe told her honestly left her hood some, Rowean wasnt worried sense she had let the girl as a dog see her face.

The suns heat was being trapped in the light colored cloth, she wanted to remove it all together but thought agianst it, Rowean didnt praticularly leave this little area, it was pretty secure but the fact that so many people had walked through her recently made her hesitant. Swiftly she rehoistered her gun without calling attention to the movement, Her stomach growled softly but she made no movement, she thought about the man who made her courious, the mall, and the way she shape shifted. "How did you do that...shape shifting thing?"

Leo saw the girl sign back to him and replied vocally to her, "The names Leo, Leo Valentine to be precise and in all honesty I've got no clue what's going on here either, I've only been here for three days myself virtually all of which has been in the Outskirts neck deep in zombies." He signed back, we may manage to get answers if we stick around with dog-girl for a bit, he saw a couple shadows shambling closer on the wall behind her.

"Oh, and speaking of the undead bastards, we may have some company, I'd suggest you look behind you," he pulled out both of the long necked crowbars on his back as he said so. He wasn't about to let the two girls get in any danger, sure one could turn to a dog and the other could have some other strange power too but for now she seemed just human, and he wasn't ready to reveal he was a freak yet. As a cautionary measure he deliberately turned to examine the other alleyways to make sure they didn't get flanked, this wasn't going to be a good day.

"Or better yet, we should get on the roof, of the building our friend entered. the inside seems safe enough, none of us will be in reach of the dead and I'm honestly thinking about entering through the roof to 'collect' some of the supplies he seems to horde in there, only saw 2 idiots in there and it's not like they'll but the stuffs to any good use."

Feral rubbed her temples in mock frustration. "Freshmen!" She yelled up to Kit, while shaking her head and holding out her hands. Then, she approached along side the girl, placing her arm around her shoulders and following her gaze. It was the kind of thing you would see a salesman do.

"Me, Bandit." She said slowly, pointing to her chest. "Senor, Fox." Then pointed to Kit. "And you're goddamn lucky you ran into us too. If we were Angels, oh boy." Feral drug her finger across her throat to mimic death. "They don't take kind to humans, imma 'fraid."

She slid her arm off the girls shoulders, "I'm a Tyuman, what do you mean? I don't know how I do it, I just do. Certainly you've seen a Tyuman before."

Feral listened intently as Leo talked, something she rarely did. He'd only been here for three days. Another outsider... She thought. What was going on in the outskirts that had all these outsiders rushing into the city? Most humans avoided the Tyuman at all cost. So whatever was out there had to be worse.

"Oh, and speaking of the undead bastards, we may have some company, I'd suggest you look behind you," Feral spun on her heels instantaneously. He was right. There was a flock of well over a dozen bastards slobbering and clambering their way. Do I fight or do I run? She could run no problem, just turn into a bird and fly. But she'd have to leave these two behind. Leo suggested entering into the Todd safe house and over taking it. "No. No. I can't go in there." Her brother's angry voice was already echoing in her head. To go into another gangs safe house or headquarters was almost the worst crime there was. Not to mention, Kit was up there watching them. So instead of doing anything, she just froze.

Kitsune-Roof of Gorge Mall

Kitsune was too busy trying to figure out what was being said, that he failed to spot the squad of 'walkers' approaching the gang. At least he didn't notice them until they were closer, by which point the others had noticed them and it would be pointless to tell them. Kit was more or less useless in his safe little watchtower. A fact he decided to change. Sliding down the ladder and onto the main roof, he knew that they wouldn't have long before the zombies were too close, and the risk would be too great to open the doors, if that point hadn't been reached already. In a moment of desperation, he let his bag drop from his shoulder, onto the roof. Moving to the 'roof rope', (which was basically a rope long enough to reach the ground and a weight tied to it, attached to a winch similar to that you would find on a well [for making sure it couldn't be used by an enemy gang member]) he whistled as loud as he could, to signal where it was (just off to one side of the tower), before throwing the rope over the edge of the building. It quickly unwound as it made it's descent, gravity working as normal.

He didn't care about the rule that meant no gang member could enter another's HQ. He wasn't letting the unmarked die, and sure as hell wasn't letting Feral die either.

He felt tension against the winch, as they took hold of it, and began to pray that it was designed for more than one person at a time...

Character Portrait: Dwayne Staxon

"Best to avoid a fight." Dwayne muttered repeatedly, before rubbing his forehead as he hid behind the ruins of what appeared to be a car, his eyes scanned for anything that'd be of use, much to his dismay there was nothing of use, except for a large lead pipe which appeared to have fallen off the car, it was sharp and rusty, not good for hitting to brittle: but maybe for stabbing. His left hand went for it, arming himself "Here we go..." he wryly remarked as he dashed to a different car, remaining undetected by his adversaries and the legion of dead, the biggest threat was the man, his ability seemed most lethal, the other seemed capable, but not to strong. Dwayne waited for a few crucial moments, before waiting and jumping into an alleyway, he let out a heavy sigh of relief he'd made it again, and was nearly out of the way, if he could get to that building he could climb it, and access the easiest route, the zip line which was in fairness the easiest way to get into the Gorge Mall.

Dwayne twisted his head back, as he vaulted ontop of the car and preformed a 10ft leap into the air, grabbing onto the ledge he rebounded up there with a variety of novice athletics. As Dwayne reached the top, he peered back down noticing the two below were to busy fighting to notice him, infact the horde was larger, Dwayne chuckled "A never ending army, indeed." his head twisted away, and he scanned his surrounds, a variety of easily navigated roof tops layed out before him, only the odd zombie which could easily be dispatched or outrun. His hand automatically dropped the pipe, which fell to the ground with a large clatter. Dwayne breathed heavily, before he began running, his speed kept building up until he was running at an inhuman rate.

Dwayne could eventually see the route in the distance, and a smile formed on his face, as well as a rumble from his stomach, I'd be good to get a bite to eat. Dwayne knew however that he'd have to go out here again, that suited him fine he hated the mall it was to small and Dwayne was always a little claustrophobic. Upon reaching the zip line Dwayne stopped, his superior eyesight picked out a sniper easily he stopped before waiting, a voice rang out from somewhere unknown, it was filled with static "Identify yourself." the voice ordered in which Dwayne leaned close and spoke "I am back." the voice eased up a little, and took on a more friendly tone, "Ah Clarence, you're back." Dwayne yawned before muttering "Let's skip the plesantries, just send over the zipline." Dwayne watched from a distance as the zip line wound backwards and got closer to him. After a minute the zip line arrived, he grabbed hold of its bars and pushed himself off the ledge of the building, heading into the Gorge Mall.

Leo stepped forward, putting himself between the girls and the zombies," Hey dog girl, I'm guessing you got a plan to get outta here so let's use your plan and I'll cover the rear." At least if you're a gang of any caliber you'd have measures for this he thought to himself. "Cause I'm guessing this building isn't your turf so if i busted in, I'd risk starting a gang war, or least hitting the most wanted list."

The zombies kept on closing in so he really hoped they had a plan, while he was sure he could handle the dozen or so he saw he didn't want to try in his current state. It was a much better idea to retreat, get so rest and supplies and then see about reducing the count of walking bodies of the planet. In real combat a tired man was a dead man, and he wasn't going to risk exhaustion or some other surprise he body might have getting in his way at the moment.

Feral - Todd Fox Territory

Feral looked around for an escape route. Not much was going through her mind as she scanned every possible direction. Then Kit whistled again, this time for their attention to his plan. It was a winch. It hardly looked as if it could hold all of them. She grabbed Leo's shoulders as he tried to stand between her and the geeks and spun him around.

"Go up the rope," she said, looking into his eyes. Hinting that this wasn't up for discussion. "You too." she motioned to the girl. She held out her arms gently and began to morph.

She couldn't risk a gang war. Gang war wasn't even her biggest fear. It was her brother and how much lecturing she'd have to endure from him if she single-handedly broke their unity with the Fox's. She had to focus on being a bird though. A fast bird. A falcon. Her nose stretched out and hardened, her skin sprouted plumage all over her body. She had hardly any time left.

Flapping her wings furiously, a zombie grabbed her tail just as she gained enough altitude to fly out of reach. A few of her tail feathers were plucked out but she was able to escape. The dry air made flying a chore, she flapped constantly til she finally found a pocket of air to glide on. Gently circling downward, she snatched her talons at a zombies head, just tearing a slight chunk of flesh before soaring back up. It was a dip for good measure and to get back at them for ruining her tail.

She continued to circle around the others while up the air, eyeing them from above. A shrilling screech echoed from her beak.

Gangs? She motioned back to Leo, Rowean was pretty sure who/what ever the girl was talking about was gangs. WHen the undead came rshing in she had flipped backward onto some trash higher up, taking note of how far, fast, and how many there were she pulled out her guns and shot the closes onessending them spilling back knocking a feww more to the ground. The things wernt excatly cordinated, "YouToo" she heard the girl say pointing to the rope, nodding she jumped up, scrambaling up the rope fast. Turning around she spotted the mass of 'living' dead, sighing she looked up to the screeching bird and frowned tempted to shoot her to make her shut up, noise that number one attraction to Zombies. "Shut up!" SHe hissed and swung her back pack off, it was an weight taht would keep her from getting the best shots, "Tick...Tock" She said as She smiled and thinned out the group.

For such a little girl it was a little unnearving how well she shot, Rowean reloaded quick she was relaxed an in her mode. She was good at this, this was somthing taht came naturally. Looking around the top of the building she pearched, dangerously, on the ledge. A good wind could probably send her flying off, or at least unsteady her but she was comfertable in her postition. Pulling off her hood sense it was bloaking her veiw so it was hard to aim she continued clearing out the thick mass.

Her blue eyes were sharp, clear and filled with odd joy. SHe liked killing Zombies, it was the same sick joy she got when she was young and learning how to fight. It all came so naturally. Finally looking behind her at the boy who had dropped the rope, "Thank you, Your a 'Fox'?" She was courious, part of her wanted to join them but she didnt voice her thoughts now.

Kitsune - Rooftop of Gorge Mall

Kitsune realised that by lowering the rope, he removed from the equation the thing that made Feral freeze. She couldn't just fly away knowing that the chances of the other two being the early bird special for the zeds. He watched as the falcon that was his friend dip and soar. If he was really honest, Sora felt a pang of jealousy towards Feral. Not too much, just a longing to take flight himself. It wasn't to be though. He would probably get over it eventually, due to how minute the twang was...

Clearly, she cared a little bit more than Kit about the whole 'potential gang war' thing, because she was avoiding landing on the roof, or anywhere on the building. I was an annoying rule that showed a lack of trust, even between allies. In his opinion, so long as they are a member of an allied gang, and occupanied by a member of the appropriate gang, they can come in. But such a rule would probably be exploited by those that would attack, unless the people on watch memorised the faces of the members that have come and gone that day, and other potentially confusing stuff. So the higher-ups in the gangs would rather appear slightly distrustful than risk a 'Trojan horse', and for all his grumbles about it, he knew that the current method kept their people and supplies safe. That was first and main priority nowadays.

While his thoughts were on unexpected arrivals, he remembered the two (apparently) unaffiliated people climbing the rope. Because he was trying to act as a counter-weight, couldn't 'call them in'. Other 'watch-foxes' didn't leave their post (understandably). Thankfully, (?) the four of them had managed to attract the attention of one of the LTs, who sauntered onto the roof with a look of feigned dis-interest. Wandering nonchalantly over to the winch, he gave a yawn and asked Kit, What's on the line? "Two gangless guppies, as far as I can tell..." What happened to the Bandit that was down there? "She the bird that's circling above..." Both their eyes looked up at her, before a tired smile reached the LT's face. That's when Kit remembered the weird quick that this boss had: despite being human, he could mimic nearly every animal call there was. He even knew how to make his duck quacks not echo...

He done the call as quietly as possible, that still allowed Feral to hear it. It was a call of beckoning. I guess since he's an LT, it wouldn't be two bad...right?

Leo brushed past dog girl after she had told him to climb the rope, while he didn't want to have to engage the crowd at that point he was stuck defending his pride now. He charged the crowd with both his crowbars out springing off the ground, getting a lot of air, he used his right arm to brain a zombie as he went over it. When he landed he spun, his left decapitating another he rolled under the still living head before reversing his momentum and bringing his foot through the skull. On instinct, he brought his right arm back, cleanly going through the mouth and out the top of its head, quickly letting go he pulled the bar out of the exit wound.

At this point he realized the other girl was halfway up the rope, still raining bullets in the crowd around him. Guess he bought more than enough time, as fast as was humanly possible he bolted for the rope. He was careless on his way to the rope though, he tore his right leg open just at the rope, he quickly stumbled at the pain.

Since he now needed his hands, he re-strapped his crowbars across his back. His leg may heal by the time he got to the top but there's no covering the torn legging and the bloodstains. He started climbing the rope as fast as he could, but he noticed that his leg was healing far slower than usual. As he got up to the top the world was spinning and he felt himself starting to fall, unable to maintain hold of the rope. Shame, he thought, I was just in arms reach too.

Rowean Hope- Atop the Mall

Not paying attention to much but the zombies Rowean forgot she had asked the Fox boy a question, the mass didnt appear to her to be thinning any but she didnt really care, reloading quickly she set back to shooting, watching Leo climb in her side vision and listening to Fox boy and his supervisor talk, "Im not a guppie!" SHe growled subconsiously at them. Taking a break from shooting she streached back ward and grabbed her water bottle from her bag taking a large drink. Her mouth tasted like dirst and her hunger was growing stronger and stronger, almost getting to the point to distract her. Biteing her bottom lip, her eyes followed movements carefully and she noticed the Leo was struggling moving slower. She couldnt tell if he was harmed but somthing wasnt right.

Seeing Leo falling she flung her torso off the ledge, hoping the other boy will grab her before she slips all the way off. Rowean grabbed Leo's arm, gasping she slide foreward, fear filled her as she looked at the zombies below, her arms burned and she could feel herlsef steadily slip farther and farther foreward. Looking over her shoulder, she felt her knees hook on the ledge and she bent them to keep herself locked there fore abit, she yelled at Fox boy, "Help He is heavy!" she refused to release him because he was still human or maybe tyuman but he didnt deserve to be pulled apart and eaten by the mass.

Feral continued a methodical pattern in the sky, circling the scene like a vulture. The two non affiliated had taken out quite a fair amount of geeks but the ruckus they were all causing was drawing in others that were nearby. She could see it all too well from her safe haven up above. Her precise falcon eyes focused now on Leo. He was struggling. The other girl must have noticed too because she took the opportunity to fly off the roof and try and help him. Feral prepped herself to dive for a few of the walkers closest to Leo, if only to slow them down or distract them.

Then, she heard a soft whistle like noise. It shrilled in her ear drum and caused her Falcon instincts to go bat shit crazy.

WHAT WAS THAT?

It's nothing. I have to get down there to help-

No. LISTEN. It's another falcon. Listen.

Who cares!? I have-

It's coming from the roof. Let's go.

When it was Feral versus an animal's prime instincts, the instincts always won. It was probably the biggest weakness of her power.
She did an awkward half turn and changed course to the man standing beside Kit. Where did he come from? She landed on his shoulder and stood for a moment. Frozen.

Where is-

Nevermind! There is no falcon here! Feral had gotten distracted. Now that she could focus the zombies were closer to Leo than ever. She fluttered off of the man's shoulder and hopped on the roof over to the ledge. And then jumped, beak first into the pack.

Kitsune - Rooftop of Mall

Help He is heavy!

Without thought, Kitsune threw himself and grabbed the girl around the torso as a familiar falcon flew quickly past him into the fray, but his focus went to the more immediate problem, hauling the two doing an acrobatic act over the edge of the building back onto the roof, "You're...both...heavy..." He groaned as he attempted increase the distance between the two and the ground. After a while of the most strenuous effort he had put into anything for a while, he had gotten the girl back on the roof, "To-together now..." He said breathlessly to her as they tried to bring the guy to safety...

Dwayne - Rooftop of Mall

Dwayne felt the course of adrenaline as he sprung off the zip line and rolled onto the floor, landing successfully onto the roof of the mall. Dwayne lay there, laughing bizarrely for a few seconds, before rolling onto his stomach and pushing himself up, "I'll never get used to that," he muttered a certain uncertainty in his tone, which forced a thin smile onto his face which was red with exhaustion. His tired eyes looked up before darting left and then right observing his surroundings. His eyes spotted the winch by the corner of the building which had been lowered, and a crowd of people assembled by it, Dwayne couldn't really see the commotion going on due to some people crowded around it.

He brushed his jacket clean, before pushing past a man by the winch his mouth dropped in annoyance, "I could've gotten up this route!" he groaned annoyed at having taken the long route, pushing his hand to his forehead he also noticed the group from before, his eyes widened another notch, as he watched bemused at the scene, his eyes even picked out a falcon from which he was certain it was the girl form before. It looked like the scene was already in hand. Dwayne's eyes focused on each of them before he quipped dryly "I'll take the long road, you take the short road." he turned around, shaking his head wearily walking into the main building.

Leo could tell from the warm feeling running down his leg, he was losing a lot of blood and his body didn't have the energy reserves to completely solve this one, stop the bleeding and restore most of the blood he'd lost was possible but that required specific concentration. A situation that wasn't going to happen at this rate. With his one good hand he gathered up rope and looped it around himself for a makeshift mountain climber safety harness. Since he didn't have the strength to pull himself up, he used the remain rope and wrapped it around his good arm. This he had something to act as a break and hopefully keep him from falling.

"Does this thing have something like a winch or pulleys to retract the rope? whether it does or not pull in the rope, I'll keep myself from falling." The girl who had dived for him saw him set up the entire rig, " Go on, you can let go or my arm, at this rate i'm more likely to pull you both over with me. but this rope trick lets you get back on top of the roof and then the 3 of us support my weight and work our way up." He planted his feet against the wall, like a repel-er, with this more of his weight was being supported by him.

Using this newer, more stable position, he began to concentrate on his healing, he got the wound closed almost immediately. Up next trying to replace the blood he lost followed by potential infection in the limb, provided he got into a share of that nutrition supplements. The kind so dense in nutrition that people can barely tolerate the smell, with that in his system in didn't really matter if he did have to cut the leg. He'd be able to regrow it, but he'd rather just cauterize it now and then cut open the scar so his natural regeneration would heal it over, without the scar

Feral - Todd Fox Territory

She plummeted down towards the ground, beak as her center balance. She aimed for one geek in particular, a slobbering big guy in the front, grabbing at Leo. Even with his slow reflexes, he noticed her before she got to him, but it was still too late. Tapping into the falcon's predatory instincts, she extended her wings like a parachute. Talons first, she collided with the undead's face. It wasn't enough to kill him, just distract if anything.

But Feral didn't think things through. She was a living entree stuck, with her talons deep into this zombie's eye sockets, flapping furiously. A few others were noticing and began to flock around him, grabbing for her like she was a tasty nugget. Falcon instincts took over still and panic mode ensued. They were pulling out her feathers, chunks at a time. She shrieked and screeched, attracting more zombies to the scene.

Finally, she became unstuck. At this point she could hardly fly because she was missing so many feathers. She managed to struggle upwards, occasionally grabbing the wall with her talon to keep from falling to her death. When she made it back to the top of the roof, there was hardly any fight in her left. The injured bird staggered slightly before falling over.

Almost immediately, her human features became visible again. Her legs grew and fleshed out and all her feathers dissipated. Her vision blurred back to the dull sense she had as a human but her sense of smell amplified. Her body was still in pain though from the injuries she sustained as a bird. For a moment, she just laid there exhausted from morphing twice in hardly an hour totally forgetting where she was or who she was with.

Rowean- Atop the Mall

Blushing when Rowean felt Fox boys hands grab an area not excatly appropriate areas, not complianing she kept almost stupid quite. Watching the wounded man use the rope to make a comtraption to keep him from falling she nodded in understanding. "To-together now..." she heard Fox boy say as she released Leo so he could hang on the rope.

"No!" She yelped hopeing he wouldnt pull and cause them to fall into a rather ungracefull heap, "He tied himself in the rope we need to help him climb up, now can you release...Umm..." She just looks down to hint where his hands were, she didnt blow up becasue she just couldnt excatly wrap her mind being, well groped. "I think im supposed to be offended" She blushed more, she was confused in her new and weird postion.

Looking at him for the first time, really looking, Rowean found herself interguied by his unique apperance. SHe thought she looked strange with her choppy hair but his was just unique. It was viberant and she wanted to touch it to see if it was hot like fire, sense that was what it reminded her of in the sun. Her blue eyes were wide with couriousity while she was distracted, shaking her head she remembered what she was supposed to be doing, "We need to help him" She said pointing over the ledge. "Dog girls down" SHe whispered worry creased her features before she washed it away.

Thane made it back home in one piece, an easy enough feat for him, only to get assailed by his comrades in a flurry of voices. News from The Outlands, reports of rations, updates on the weather, the usual. However, something caught his eye. Through the door to the gang's garage, a new and yet somehow familiar shape appeared. The curved body of a helicopter stuck out like a sore thumb in the nearly dead world and it was a shape thane was glad to see. He could tell just by looking at it that the mechanics had been working on it for a long time and that it was in flyable condition. He looked to the gang's head mechanic who simply nodded as to say "Go on, take it." with a smile, Thane pushed his way into the open-roofed workshop and started the rotors. With a mixed roar of the engine and the gang cheering at it's success, the AH-6 Little Bird took to the sky. eeming that a flight over New Raven was enough for the test, he decided that he would buzz the mall only to find the four or so survivors penned up on the roof. Thane groaned in annoyance and picked up the transmitter's mouth piece.

Static crackled over the old radio as Thane tried to get it to work. Finally, a small yellow light lit up on the side of the mouth piece. He was transmitting. The thunderous roar of helicopter blades wasn't anything new to him, but hopefully, the others knew better than to try and knock it out of the sky. Hopefully. Finally in view of the horde on the street, the speaker on the bottom of the helicopter blared to life. "Hope you don't mind. Needed a little fresh air." He said, lowering to just over the mall's roof. He locked the gears into place for a steady hover and tossed a rope out each door of the small helicopter, each with a harness attached to the bottom. Then he stuck his head out the window and yelled down to Rowean and the others, "Two of you get strapped in and the other two hold on, I can pull you up!"

Hakhalah mikkum!” cried an authoritative voice that echoed above the menacing moans of the undead.

Suddenly a blinding light erupted and illuminated the alley. Rotting flesh sizzled as exposed bones were raised to protect the sensitive eyes of the living corpses. The ones in most contact with the light ignited into a wailing inferno that gradually crumbled into a smoking heap of charred bodies. Finally, as the light dissipated, one zombie lowered its arms to examine the new threat, its body suddenly stiffened. With a bone splitting crack, the point of a glowing red blade broke through the back of its skull. Heat waves resonated from the blade as brain matter baked and popped in the miniature oven.

Then just as quickly as it entered, the blade retracted, and the undead collapsed. Standing before the newly deceased corpse was a man clad in a full suite of plate armor that glowed with the same fiery heat as the superheated blade that he clenched in his left gauntlet. In his right hand was a large shield that bore the symbol of a six-pointed star. The man stood like a pillar as he scanned the shambling mob before him with eyes that shone with the same bright light as before.

As the corpses began their slow but deliberate approach towards him, he met their stride in likeness. With a bellowing roar the armor-clad man lifted his shield and charged at the mass of death. The collision sent two of the undead flying several feet back as he bashed his shield into mob with a loud thud. His blade flashed and two disembodied heads met the pavement.

Harag!” he cried.

Upon the order, a line of men appeared behind him armed with spiked mace and large shields. Some held riot shields reinforced with metal strips and pipes (while others bore shields crafted from manhole covers or car doors) as they huddled together in a defensive line across the alley. Behind them was another line of men armed with compound bows and arrows made from various materials. From behind the line of shields they fired their ammo into the craniums of the undead with deadly accuracy. Slowly the line marched closer to the ever-shrinking mob of shambling corpses. Arrows whizzed by the first man’s head as he relentlessly carved his way through the rotting flesh like butter.

Bacon - Near Bloodhound Territory

He'd had a run in not that long ago with a guy from the Bloodhounds. Which is how this last few days had turned out how they did. The guy was crazy enough he should have been part of the Diamond Dogs but it wasn't his place to do their recruiting. He wiped the sweat from his head, he was starting to get hot. An unnecessary and unpleasant side-effect of his inner power. The heat, it would make it so hard to concentrate at times. He sighed and looked up to the small window he'd found in the ruined bathroom.

"Why would fuckers ever create windows so small!" He shouted at the window even though he didn't mean too. The bathroom was just big enough for him to stand in and maneuver to the window after he'd knock out the glass and it's frame. He turned around and headed back to where he'd set up. As he started to gathering the few things he would even want to keep he could hear that the rotters outside had picked up to his existence again. He knew it wouldn't have been long but he might have had longer if he hadn't screamed.

"Fuck!" He screamed as he stood slamming his open hand on the wall. "I'm such and idiot!" He started towards the bathroom quickly as the dead began to press against the shoddily repaired barricaded he had to break in to get in. He'd expected to have had to fight someone when he got in but the only thing inside were the few things he'd already gathered up and the rotting corpses of two older females in the bedroom. If he had more time he might have burned their bodies for them.

He took a deep breath before he started to bust out the window with a metal shower rod he had picked up a few seconds earlier. He could hear the sound of cracking wood as he threw his pack out the window and then started to weasel his way through. Just as he got through, falling on to some trashcans hard, he could hear them breaking in. Their moans and grunts echoing out the window as well as all around him. The mob he'd escaped from hadn't gone anywhere they'd just been sitting here waiting to find him. He scrambled over to where is pack landed grabbing it and then scrambling to his feet he took a quick look around. He was in the back alley in Bloodhound territory. He only had a few hours hard run from here till he could get back into Mayday Turf. He started down the paved alley as quietly as he could but it was no use. As soon as he passed the house the rotters noticed him and began to come toppling after him.

Rather then waste time fighting he decided to go back to running, so he fastened his pack on tight and took off running for what could literally be his life.
