When the door finally gave way, a huge wave of relief spilled over Corin. She stumbled straight into him, her body weak as he grabbed her arms trying to support her. The blood on her wrists smeared onto him, and he cringed at the warm liquid. He saw all of the bruises, and anger started to boil inside of him. "Maya…" He let out in a relieved breath, moving to lay her down. "I need to get you out of here." He mumbled in a hushed voice, his face now stricken with the worry of his mind, and the anger boiling in his veins.

His focus shifted to her wrists, and he frowned realizing that they were probably not form her father. He let out a small sigh, before pulling off his sweatshirt and t-shirt. Corin ripped parts of his t-shirt into two long strips and started to tie them around her arms just above the cuts to slow the blood flow. "I need to get you to the hospital…" He muttered as he moved to pull his sweatshirt back on. He froze for a moment, slowing down and taking a look at Maya.

His hand moved to touch the side of her face gently, thumb caressing her cheekbone. "I'm so sorry." He whispered genuinely. He looked at her, there in the moment for a small period of time before leaning down and kissing her forehead softly. It was a small gesture, but he hoped it would give her more hope.

"Maya…" Coring cared about her. He actually cared about her. He was examining her wounds from her wrist and the bruises within sight. He had come all the way over to her to see if she was still alive. He was putting himself at risk for a suicidal girl like herself. He had a good heart. He needed someone that wasn't selfish. Someone that wasn't still planning to take her own life by the bridge. He laid her down and she touched his chest. "Corin..." she mumbled. He wasn't going to hear her voice. He was barely paying attention.

He started to tend to the wounds to caused herself. As he was wrapping them, she felt regret. She was so selfish. Maya was given a chance when Corin came and got her, but she doesn't want to take it. It was safer for both of them if she was dead. It was make life easier. "I need to get you out of here." she sighed. It wasn't going to happen. For so long as she was alive her life would still be hell.

"I need to get you to the hospital…" Maya shook her head furiously. No hospital. No one can see her like this. It would cause more problems. Her father would find out. She would be paralyzed for life if he knew. Maya put her hand back on his chest as a sign to say it was a bad idea. Her father would ruin Corin's life. Her father. They were still in his house. She needed to warn Corin. "Corin.." she whispered again.

His moment of trying to rush her out of the house had ceased. He was staring at her with passionate eyes. He was gently caressing her face gently. He apologized to her. It was genuine and sincere. It was as if he was the one causing her pain. As if he was the one the was causing her suicidal thoughts. As if he was the one causing her hell hole of life. But he wasn't. With the loss on her forehead she recognized this feeling. It was love. Or close to it. For the first time in a long time, she felt loved. But it was putting them in danger. "Corin. Y-you can't be here. H-he will kill you. P-please go h-home," Maya started begging.

"I'm not leaving you here!" Corin half-shouted, frustration clear in his voice. He moved so that he was now sitting by her side. "I'm not leaving here until you do. I don't care if he tries to kill me. You shouldn't let yourself get hurt like this. I'm sure as hell not going to let it happen!" He continued as he looked down at his now swollen fist. He knew he was risking a lot, but he also knew that he would put up a fight if he had to. For the second time in his entire life, a rage burned inside of Corin that was inexplicable. The first time it had happened to him, there was no reason behind it.

This time, however, had raw reason behind it. This time, Corin let the rage take over him without fighting it. He was ready. Adrenaline was coursing through his entire being. "It's either we get you out of here, or I'm staying right here, Maya. It's your decision." He said after a moment, his voice raw and threatening. But not towards her, rather in a protective way. Either way, it was crystal clear that what he said were his intentions and there was no arguing it.

Maya was so shocked. He was risking his life for her. They barely knew each other. She could tell that he was angry. It was apparent in his voice. It was also clear that Corin wasn't going to leave without her. There was only one choice. "L-let's go. H-he will be here soon." she said. "Who will be here?" said a booming voice. Maya didn't even here him come in. He was standing over them with a box of beers in his hands. Corin really had to go.

"No one dad." Maya said to him. She looked at Corin with such urgency. She wanted him out of her house. He was in serious danger for as long as he was in the house. "Who is this Maya?" he said with a crude smile on his face. There was evil hidden in his eyes. Maya moved so that she was in front of Corin. "A guy dad. He was just leaving." she said pushing Corin.

"No. He has seen to much. He can stay for as long as he wants Maya. I won't even lay a hand on him." Her dad said putting the thing of beer down. He was going to hurt her. She could see it in his face. "But you are still up for grabs." he said in the calmest voice she has ever heard. Her father leaned down and picked her up gently avoiding the bruises. "Time for bed Maya." Maya looked as if she was going to cry. Her father started carrying Maya away to her room leaving Corin on the floor.

Corin stood, the empty rage inside of him taking hold of the last few bits of personality he had left. A darkness had overcome him. One that was strong enough to keep him in such a state for a long period of time. He stepped after Maya's father, grabbing him by the arm. "Is that how you greet your guests?" He asked, his voice dark and thick with the rage that spread through his blood stream.

His grip was tight, almost violent. But he sure as hell wasn't letting this man walk with Maya upstairs. "Put her down." He snarled as he made his way up the step. He was close enough so that if her father was going to swing a punch there wouldn't be much force behind it. But it also put him at risk for any other acts of violence that could be up his sleeve.

Her dad chuckled at Corin's response and that he was still trying. When his hand gripped her dad's arm, face went from his humored smirk to a distant look. "Put her down." Her dad doesn't take commands very well, but this time he obliged. It didn't help Maya very much. From his height and how high off the ground she is the drop would be pain. With a smirk he let go of her. Maya hit the ground with a thud. She let out a scream and cried. Everything hurt.

Maya's dad pushed Corin violently off of him making sure he was on the ground. "Get the fuck out of my house or I will rape her in front of you," he threatened Corin. Reaching down he grabbed Maya by her hair and was dragging her toward the stairs to the basement. Maya tried to put up a fight as best as she could, but it was harder than it looked. He was gripping her tight. Her body was aching. She was mentally and physically exhausted. When her dad opened the door, he threw her down there. Maya rolled down the stairs with loud thuds.
