|| ǪƝƇɆ ŲƤǪƝ Ą ƬĮⱮɆ ||
Earth's introduction progressed as primitive, humble even. Its beginnings were of grass and dirt, trees slowly blossoming to reach the sky. Animals grew to magnanimous lengths and humans, being as ambitious as they were, lived in caves. When man gained a taste for meat, they hunted, forming packs to take down beasts much larger than themselves. Animals evolved, becoming smarter; humans did too. Soon, forests were cleared, houses were built, humans acknowledged one another and realized their differences. They fought over these small discrepancies with wars and armadas, sacrificing their own to gain wealth, power, and privilege over others. When land ran out, they built ships to sail across the tumultuous sea to expand their reaches.

But it was never enough.

Skyscrapers popped up, one after the other. Made of gleaming metal and glass, they spiraled higher than the clouds. Wars were at last settled, debts repaid, humanity began an era of peace. They flourished together, realizing that their arguments were silly, that their spats were fruitless, and so, together, they worked towards advancing themselves as a better society. With no more war, they put their minds together to cure common ailments, eradicating the cold, fixing fevers with simple patches, even making genome sequencing to get rid of the genetic risk of having an imperfect child. It could not detect everything, such as disabilities that could be brought on later in life by accident, injury, or even undetermined factors that could never be controlled, but the world, for the most part, was harmonious.

Where there is free will, there will always be trouble.

What if the body could be trapped at the perfect age? What if one no longer had to worry about their health? What if humans could live in a pristine body that never died? It would disrupt the cycle of life itself and perhaps put the fate of humanity in a terrible imbalance. Highly illegal experimentation, a company called GENOS began asking for volunteers. Those who were at their end stages of life, willing to donate themselves towards research for what they claimed to be a better future. They would pay well, they promised, to any and all who could gather in the belly of their building and subject themselves to the experiments. They told all it was for the betterment of the future, they claimed that they wanted to freeze humanity at it's prime.

They lied.

ImageImageIt was a woman by the name of Edna Grover who discovered that souls beneath the age of 18 were the most pliable. Adults who attempted the transfer perished, their bodies becoming necrotic and crumbling to dust, soul lost for eternity. Needing to use children, but having no legal permit to do so, the operation went underground, using scrupulous means to recruit the less fortunate. One by one they came, a slow trickle until the method became perfected. The turn around was high, people from all over wanted android children they could program for various functions and tasks. Soldiers, maids, clerks, security guards, they were all ran on one program, the brainchild of Dr. Grover.

It was never enough.

Wanting to take the program further, Dr. Grover wanted to detach the memories from the souls, creating a blank slate, usable for just about anything. She saw herself as a deity, creating life, building bodies, constructing art. It was only when Dr. Grover recruited a twin that she had crossed the line, unwittingly stealing the body of the second to turn into one of her pretty dolls.

Reservations || Reservations will be held for 48 hours, if you do not submit a WIP by the time the 48 hours are up then your reservation will be withdrawn and the spot will be given to someone else. Also, if I know you to be the type that reserve and submit a character without ever finishing them I will reject your reservation. All characters must be finished after five days!
Face Claims || As you can see I have already chosen these for you. Everything is debatable, if you'd like to change your face claim then please inform me in the OOC. All face claims must be of the anime genre, unfortunately no celebrities or anime video games will be accepted. Persona, Steins Gate, and Danganronpa are an exception to this rule.
Grammar and Spelling || This is an advance RP, meaning I expect you to know the different between throw and through. If you cannot handle that then this is not the RP for you. Each post has a four hundred word minimum and you must reply at least once a week. Fail to do so and you will be kicked out; we cannot wait forever on one person. The first password is your demon type.
Disappearing || This will not be tolerated. If you are going on vacation and are aware that you will be leaving please, please inform us in the OOC. If you must leave to take care of a personal matter/family business PM me. You do not need to specify what it is, just give me a warning that you will be gone so that we know to continue.
Inspiration || This comes from many places, however I would like to thank Scra for the black and white idea. Most of my RP's are very colorful but I liked the mood that this monochrome tone set and I know you might think it looks similar to yours because of this; however I did all the coding myself and if it still looks too similar to yours I will change it.
Photos/Dividers || These all come from my own personal collection. If you'd like to use them, feel free to PM me and I will give you my sources. After all, this site is all about sharing and growing together right?
Character Skeleton || This will be posted in the OOC.
Competing || This is not a first come first serve role play! If you would like to compete for a spot please go right ahead. If you find this tedious and unnecessary then you do not have to join. Each player has five days to submit their finished characters, then I will judge who gets the spot.
Password || The moment you've all been waiting for right? Anyways the password is s gif of your face claim and the name of the RP.

Delivered back home once more, Callisto strode into the apartment, happy that Fina had accepted her proposition. Even if Io had pretended that she had things tying her here, surely a break from the city life would do them both some good. Callisto couldn't wait, she was finally fulfilling the promise she had made to Io when they were children. With that in mind, Callisto kicked off her snow boots on the mat and looked around, finding Jace and Black Jack casually playing a video game on the holo screen. "Welcome back," Jace waved in passing, preoccupied as the two were racing. Callisto hung up her purse, happy that they had listened to her and stayed here after all. "I'm home," she settled down on the couch beside her combat unit, who kissed her on the cheek and went on with her game. Black Jack grit his teeth, his car going up in flames.

Jace snickered, pushing forward until she crossed the finish line. "Winner," she placed the remote down, her arm draping over Callisto's show. In the corner of her eye, Callisto spotted a message from Fina, or maybe Io, and smiled. "They can come," she giggled gleefully. "Dane will be tagging along," Black Jack nodded. "I figured as much," he rose, heading into the kitchen. "It's around dinner time, I guess I'll cook?" He slunk away, clearly sore about losing to the combat unit. "Black Jack is acting strange," Jace murmured, her presence warm beside her. "Oh? He seems fine," Callisto tilted her head in question.

"He's been hanging around here, slacking off." She scowled, "he isn't worried about security," Callisto rolled her eyes. "I'm sure he's just eager for a change of pace." Jace shook her head in response, "No, he's been clingy. Not in a good way though," Black Jack called them for dinner and Jace rose to set the table for them. They sat down to eat, spaghetti and meatballs, crispy, but still good. Once the table was cleared and the dishes were washed, Callisto retired to the bedroom while the two went at the game again, sliding out of her winter clothes in order to take a bath. Alone at last, she shot a message back to Fina. "I'm so happy you two can come!" With a smile, Callisto sunk into the warm water, her internal cooling system whirring at full blast in order to prevent her from overheating.

There was a knock on the door, startling Callisto out of her quiet reverie. "Come in!" She called, Jace entering and pulling off her clothes. She slid into the bath, pulling Callisto into her arms. "Something on your mind? Besides Black Jack I mean," Jace leaned her chin against Callisto's shoulder, her hands wrapping around her waist and slowly sliding down. "I was thinking, about this whole human mess. If I went back there, would I recognize myself? Why does everyone want to be a human again? I'm fine as an android." She had a point, Jace seemed to have no desire to return to her human body. "Smarter, faster, better, stronger, why would I trade this?"

"I don't know, some people are... sentimental."

"You wanted to go back."

"That was... before."

"Before you realized your body was... incapacitated?"

Callisto nodded, Jace's presence warm. "I thought I wanted to return home, but now, I'm not so sure. I like it here, where there's no pressure, I can do what I want, Mom and Dad aren't here to constantly praise or beat on me. Sometimes I feel like I'm a mistake, that G-d, or whatever higher power, has been trying to get rid of me so that Io can live a good life."

"Don't say that!" Jace snapped, her grip on Callisto tightening. "You were meant to live," she murmured into Callisto's blue hair, the bubbles swishing around them. [color=#F54D70]"Jace?"

"Promise me. Promise me Callisto, you won't go."

"I promise, I'm not going anywhere."

❝Going around in circles, just bring it all to ruin.❞

"We have the plane tickets, so bring your passports and meet us at Akaline Airport." That was the message from Black Jack. It wouldn't be a long ride from here to the airport, and Fina already had everything she would need packed. Everything she needed was already on her person really, other than clothes and her charger and replacement parts just in case there was a malfunction. Dane had a light pack too, mostly just clothes and his Holopad would be taken along for the ride. "I hope you have fun. Don't forget to return home safe." Lady Reiss kissed Dane on the forehead and then did the same to Fina's. Nyx waved to Dane but looked awkwardly at Fina as if unsure what to do. "Don't worry." Jarvis had that evil smile on his face. "I'll have lots of fun with Nyx so she won't be lonely."

Io decided to try to ignore him but that didn't help the annoyance rising in poor Io's head. She really disliked Jarvis, there was just something about that slimy smarmy way he kept getting close to Nyx that she couldn't stand. But then again, it wasn't as if she deserved to be friends. She was the one who failed Minnie in the first place anyways. "We'll be back. I'm being paid too, so that will be okay." It was already written out as a contract, but in the end Io didn't really care. It was just that the Agency didn't feel right signing her on as extra security without some sort of consideration to give back. "Um, take care of the kids." Dane mumbled, hands twiddling together. He had already given them all their own individual hug before making his farewell.

In the hovercar, Io was mostly quiet as she looked out the window. "I don't know why you never pressed charges." Io muttered, resting her head on her hand as she watched the scenery blur by. Already they sent the message that they would be there in ten minutes. "It's not her fault." That was Dane's excuse every time Io tried to make him fight back, to break free somehow. "I know she's a good person." The worst part that both Lady Reiss and Io knew was that Dane secretly did want to go back. He believed he could change her, help her become a good mother again. But Io knew that people never change, no matter what you do they'll always be the same. "She beat you." Io murmured quietly to herself. "That's not what good people do." But it wasn't as if she was good either.

To the welcome of the large holographic sign telling them that they had arrived at the Alkaline Airport, Dane took them to parking and they entered the air station. They had agreed to meet up with the others at the VIP Lounge and so there they went, Io in a pretty greyish dress, cute but practical and easy to move in, while Dane dressed in a nice t shirt and dress pants. They were here on business, so they had to look nice. "We're here." Io waved when she saw them. Dane hung behind her, as if afraid of hanging out with so many androids as the sole human. "We got our passports." Humans needed passports, but androids needed travel permits as they weren't technically citizens yet. It was time to go on tour.

Coordinating everything for the world tour was not an easy feat. They wouldn't be going anywhere dangerous, no active war zones, or places known to hate androids, but there was a lot of pressure for the performance to be perfect. Callisto downloaded several new songs and dance routines and had to practice none stop. The day before their flight, she went to GENOS for an update and maintenance, Jace and Black Jack playing games while Callisto was fine tuned, and then finally, a day of rest to pack. They had little downtime though, considering they had to be at the airport in an hour and Callisto was still standing over her suitcase, mulling over what she needed to bring. Her charger and backup were in there, a maintenance kit, as well as a stuffed rabbit Jace had won her on the board walk. "Cali, you should probably get dressed, we're leaving soon." Jace said, hands on hips.

"I don't know what else to pack," she bit her lip in thought as Jace went to the closet, grabbing a handful of underwear and a change of clothes, throwing it into the bag. "There, you're packed, now get dressed." Black Jack laughed, standing in the doorway. "That's not packing, I'll pack it, you two get ready." Callisto nodded, taking out a pink sweater with a rabbit on it and yellow shorts. She pulled on a pair of thigh highs and her comfiest boots and hat. "There, ready!" Jace too, was dressed casually, knowing that the flight was going to be long. They would be heading to the farthest point first, which would mean several flights and connections. The drive to the airport including, they would be spending well over three days travelling.

At the airport, they were ushered through to the VIP lounge. They would be seated in business class, which had plenty of outlets to charge in. Callisto took a seat by the window, her eyes sparkling, this would be her first time on an airplane. "They're late," Black Jack scowled, already opposed to Fina and Dane joining them. "By thirty seconds," Callisto rolled her eyes and rose to meet her sister. "I'm so glad you could make it!" She threw her arms around Io, wrapping her in a tight hug. Callisto relented after a minute and turned to Dane, clasping his hand between her's. "I'm glad you could join us Dane, it's been a long time." It felt like years since Callisto had last seen him.

"We're going to have a great time together. They gave us a bit of downtime in each city, so we'll be able to see all of the sights!" Of course, they had to get there first. It was another half an hour before they boarded the actual plane, each passenger welcomed with a glass of fruit juice and a hot towel. Callisto took her seat next to the window, the person assigned to sit beside her being Fina, which Jace wasn't happy about, but begrudgingly accepted. She and Dane were in the middle row, with Black Jack on the other side.

❝You won't take my hand if I invited you to dance.❞

|| City of the Dead|| Eurielle ||

The first stop for the tour would be Greater London. Because of how things changed and how the population keeps on growing, the London has expanded and annexed much of the cities around it in the county. Now Greater London was one of the biggest cities in the world, a cultural metropolis where everyone is welcome. This was both Io and Fina's first time on a plane. Dane too had never gotten to ride a plane before and he was quite excited as he stared out the window, stared at the AI flight attendants - not true intelligence of course, they were androids without the human component that Dr. Grover was able to invent. Io was seated in the aisle next to Callisto for some reason - was Callisto the one who chose the ticket seating plan? Why wasn't it Jace and Callisto together?

"This is strange." Io admitted tersely. She knew Fina was enjoying it all but Io was on edge. She knew how to fly but being in a plane as it flew up and the unexpected burst of turbulence was odd. Still, the fruit juice wasn't bad. Androids couldn't get drunk, but they sure could simulate the feeling of being drunk if they so wished. Io chose not to - she didn't like losing control. "It's weird not having control." Io glanced to the back seats behind them with worry, but she couldn't see through the gap. It was business class so their chairs were bigger and they had much more room for their legs and things. "Make sure Jace doesn't bully Dane, he's delicate." The irritable android muttered at Callisto. "I'm sure Jace is nice." Dane replied, who only saw Jace once or twice during the first incident where Fina kidnapped Lita.

My, that felt like ages ago.

Io had a question though. Why was it only the androids here? "Aren't the rest of the staff supposed to be going with you?" Io knew a bit of the touring process from what Minnie told her when they were studying for it. "They left yesterday so they could spend more time setting things up at the first location." Black Jack answered, looking up from his book. It was old, something to do about a DaVinci Code. Black Jack sure didn't seem like a literary person. Io definitely didn't like books. "I guess so." Io looked Callisto over to make sure she wasn't getting airsick. then she remembered her sister was an android and that probably wasn't going to be a problem. She sighed, old habits dying hard.

"You better take this security detail seriously, Io." Black Jack said, scorn clear in his voice. The two Stealth Units were not on good terms, ever since the first fight when he kidnapped Minnie from her, Io had never liked him. "Don't make Jace do all the work." Knowing the relation between Jace and Black Jack, Io sneered. "Aren't you a bit creepy, always hovering over Jace? I'm sure she can handle herself." The android glowered at her. "We're friends, that's all." He sounded almost... depressed. No doubt Jace had no idea. Io felt slightly triumphant thanks to Callisto remembering her. "It's so nice to have you remember me this time." She gloated, lording over her bond with Cali to poor Black Jack.

|| Dearly Beloved || Utada Hikaru ||

Callisto accepted the fruit juice and raised it to her lips, the taste tart, but slightly sweet. She placed it down and kicked off her snow boots, the cabin pleasantly toasty. "This is exciting, a real adventure," Callisto leaned back so that Io could watch the takeoff, hoping that her sister was enthralled by it as she was. Sure, it was under rather strange circumstances, but Callisto was glad that she was going to be getting to spend time with Io, outside of their parent's home, where no adults could boss them around and tell them what to do. "Jace is harmless... well, relatively," Callisto giggled. "She won't bother Dane though, she's pretty quiet around people she doesn't know." Actually, Jace and Dane had greeted each other cordially and were now talking exuberantly over their juice.

"Sometimes, it's easier to let go of control." Callisto had found that out the hard way. While being sick, she had, had virtually no control over her life. Even now, she was always told what to wear, when to appear, what her cues and words were, but she didn't mind it, as long as she wasn't being subjected to debilitating medicines and spending days in the hospital, too weak to move. With this body, Callisto was free to live the way she almost wanted to. Away from overburdening friends who stabbed you behind the back, and parents who put too much pressure on their child. "I'm glad we could spend time together like this," Callisto smiled, their television flickering on to provide the safety information.

It seemed that already, Black Jack and Io were not on good terms. "Leave her alone Black Jack, we're on a plane, it's a closed cabin, and I don't think anyone would bother us up here in business class." Callisto stuck her tongue out, wanting Black Jack to know that he was being a nuisance. He was sitting on his own, but didn't seem to mind considering his nose was stuck in a book. He turned back to it, clearly insulted by Io's words. "Don't mind him, he's just salty in general." Of course, Callisto didn't know that Fina and Black Jack had a previous encounter, her memories of her time as Lita were still rather murky.

"I'm glad we remember each other," Callisto took one of Io's hands and squeezed it, her smile never fading. Dinner in business class was fancy, it wasn't the rumored airplane food Callisto had been afraid and for dessert, chocolate chip cookie ice cream sundaes. "I think the best part of this body is you can eat all you want and never get fat!" She declared happily around a mouthful of cookie and ice cream. Almost as soon as dinner was over, the cabin lights were turned off, indicating that it was time for them to rest. Callisto didn't want to sleep though, it had been forever since she had seen a movie and their televisions were loaded. "Hey, want to watch something together?"

Dane was like her little brother and Io was prepared to beat up Jace if it turned out the rude and mean Combat Unit was bullying - wait, why were they getting along? Why were they happily talking about their juice? It grinded her gears to think of them being friends. Thinking of how much of a failure she was, and how friendly and great Dane was, couldn't that mean Jace was going to steal him away too just like Jarvis stealing Minnie? "See, Jace is nice, she likes my card collection!" Dane had a set of holocards of famous people in his pack. Famous historical figures like Yui the Patient, or Aria the Wild. In particular he was hoping to get a holocard of Mizuki to finish the Light Bearer set. "That's because your card collection is super cool."

Deciding that she won the little spat between her and Black Jack, Io was more than fine to ignore him for now. "You should cheer up. This can be fun." Fina advised in her head and Io sure hoped that her other self was right. They were probably special, the two of them. The fact that they could exist like this was probably a miracle. "Hymnos won't take my memories of you this time." Io would fight against it. Either way, the Admin Unit probably understood now that stealing memories wasn't how to bring about happiness. The cabin lights shut off and Fina reminded her that the flight was likely now half over. "Can I pick?" The last time they watched something together was Callisto's first week in hospitalized care when Io snuck over with a selection of movies and let Callisto pick.

Browsing through their shared screen's catalogue, Io was having trouble deciding. "I remember Minnie saying she liked Magical Trickster Lenalou?" Fina suggested, trying to be helpful. Io shook her head. No, that wouldn't work, Io knew about the twist from happy to misery and Callisto wasn't the type to like tragedy like that. "How about this? Princess of Night." It was the latest Disney movie, about a princess of a Kingdom who had her father killed by her evil sister, the Princess of Day. Day lied to the world and framed the death of the good King on Night, so she had to go into hiding. She learned about the people's suffering, fell in love with the local blacksmith of a town, and once evil sister started preparing the Kingdom for war, Night stepped forth and took back her right to the crown. It was a story about patience and forgiveness, because Night gave Day a chance to make up for her wrongs by giving back to the people.

By the end of it Io had almost nodded off. Not because it was boring, no, but rather because she was so busy watching it that she didn't hear Fina's warnings to plug into the charging port. "Did you like it?" Fina asked, already knowing the answer. Io decided to echo the question to Cali's end. "How was it? My taste isn't so bad, is it?" The flight was almost over now, maybe only half an hour until landing.

❝I am the one who ruined me; I did it myself.❞

ɗιαƖσgυє cσƖσя:#F54D70 ♙ тнσυgнт cσƖσя #FF7256

|| Dearly Beloved || Utada Hikaru ||

"Sure, pick whatever you like out." It would be Callisto's first movie in, well, years. She leaned back in her seat, happy that she and Io got to enjoy this time together. Callisto leaned back in her seat and pulled the blanket up, plugging in the headphones so that she could listen to the movie. It was bittersweet, but it kept Callisto on the edge of her seat as the two princess, Day and Night, confronted one another, and the movie eventually came to a conclusion. "That was..." Callisto blinked, Io wanting to know her thoughts. "It was nice," she said at last. She wasn't lying, Callisto had enjoyed the movie, "it was different, a good change of pace I think." Perhaps even metaphorical for the sister's own rocky relationship.

Callisto wished that things were different, she wished that she and her sister could be together, but just like all siblings, they had to leave the nest and take their own flight. Their circumstances were a bit skewed, but nonetheless, Callisto would cherish every moment and memory they made. Who knew how much longer her real body would last? Frozen of course, it could be years, but what happened after that? Would she continue this life as an android? Would she die in both bodies? Drift somewhere in between? It was a question Callisto never wanted answered. She looked across the aisle, at Black Jack, who was still reading with the overhead light, at Jace, who was now snoozing peacefully, and Dane who was up doing who knows what.

"I think I'm gonna head into sleep mode and charge for a little bit." Callisto plugged herself into an outlet and pushed the button for the flight attendant AI to come and make her bed. Once that was done, Callisto lay down, already feeling artificially tired. "Goodnight Io, night Fina." Callisto winked, pink eyes drifting shut. She went still, no rise and fall of breath, nor flicker of the eyelids as a normal sleeping human would have. All things considering, android bodies, when in sleep mode, looked almost dead. The only thing that could wake a sleeping android was someone interrupting their sleep or a large scale incident on the outside that alerted their senses.

When the lights rose to begin serving breakfast, Callisto stirred, unplugging her neck. She yawned and sat up, her chair moving into the upright position. Callisto wiggled the window open, her eyes widening. They were over the ocean, a glittering blue greeting them. "Wow," the android gasped, admiring the deep blue. Another nice thing about android bodies? There was no such thing as jet lag.

So I have gathered the two of you here in private in order to discuss this problem." Dr. Grover took a deep breath as she looked at both Metis and Io. Metis was sitting there stoically, hands folded on the table of the meeting room. Io had her legs up on the table, glaring from behind her bangs at the doctor that ruined everything. Fina was of course there as well and sitting opposite the siblings, on Grover's side, was Hymnos, seeming almost mournful, translucent eyes closed. "It has to do with Callisto, doesn't it?" The soldier nearly demanded, keeping his emotions in check as best as his training allowed. Io was quite a bit more of an open book like she always was. "If you're doing something risky with her again, think again because even if I can't beat you up, Metis sure can."

Grover glanced over at Hymnos who seemed to nearly be in her own world as she managed the online network all androids sans Callisto were connected to. "While we have her in stasis right now, that doesn't mean the cancer's progress has stopped." While Metis's frown twitched, Io had had a faint feeling of this for a while now. It wouldn't be that easy to save her perennially in distress sister. "I assume there's a solution, but you need our permission." Metis, despite his shock, was very direct, voice steady. Grover nodded, rubbing the glare off of her glasses in the barely furnished meeting room. "Hymnos, if you please." The first android nodded, opening her eyes to gaze soulfully directly at Io. Io stared back at her with a mixture of pity and respect that was hard to really place. Fina seemed to revere her but Fina was a weird kid to be fair.

"There is a way to have Callisto live on permanently even once her real body dies." Hymnos explained, speaking each syllable slowly and deliberately so that Metis and Io could follow along. "But it requires doing a full mind transfer from her body into the android." That sounded reasonable enough. They would put Callisto's mind through Hymnos. A full, complete version of what is usually done to create the android personalities like Jace or Fina. "But obviously there's something wrong with that." Io scowled, shaking her head. Hymnos nodded, almost tearing up. "Just like with Minnie, we can't promise memories will transfer through. The only way to save her might erase her anyways." It felt like a knife in the gut and just like before, Io wasn't prepared for this one either.

The morning of their first day in Greater London. Except of course they were still in the plane, just an hour away from landing. The sight of the city in the distance from the window view over the sea was magnificent. London used to be a dirty cesspool of crime ever since World War Three, better known as the Light Bringer War. But then the new Prime Minister took over and began making the city a beauty once again. "It's a city with scars, but they recovered from it and are now thriving." Io said quietly, since Dane was still snoring behind them. It looked like a metropolis of civilization, giant and booming with life. "Better than the dead city we live in, that's for sure." Io muttered, trying not to dwell on the meeting she and Metis had with Grover.

This was a vacation time, and possibly one of her last chances to really be with Callisto as she is, rather than another stranger like Nyx.

London was a catalyst in the musical world. Many a great idols and singers emerged from the UK and while the city itself certainly had a dark past, England had risen from the ashes and became the unexpected multi-billion dollar city. Callisto's eyes glittered as their plane cast not even a shadow across the spectacular metropolis they floated towards. "We're so close, our first stop!" Her smile was infectious, she had no idea that only an hour ago, her family had discussed the next few steps in their plan of action. Callisto would have no decision in what would happen to her body, not that she even knew what was happening to it.

Callisto wasn't thinking about those sorts of things after all, she had already accepted her inevitable death, but Callisto would avoid thinking about that for as long as possible. "I can't believe we actually left the city." It was the first time Callisto had been outside of the city limits, her first time on an airplane, it didn't feel real. Of course, their android bodies didn't feel the effects of the change in cabin pressure and the like, they had a relatively painless flight. On the other side, Jace and Black Jack were discussing something in quiet tones while Dane slept peacefully, his breakfast already devoured. "Look, you can see Big Ben!"

Their plane touched ground right on time and since they were in first class, they were allowed to deplane first. Jace took the lead and Black Jack the rear, waiting for them was an attendant and a car that would drive them to their hotel, close to the first performance venue. The performance wouldn't be until tomorrow, so tonight they had the ability to tour the city. Jace was on guard, it was her job after all, and as soon as they got into the vehicle, Black Jack disappeared. "We can take a cruise on the River Thames if we want? Or we can go and watch the changing of the guard at the castle?" Callisto was practically bouncing she was so excited.

Their hotel was fancy, the security was tight and their room had quite the view. There were three separate bedrooms that were all connected in the living room. Already their room was filled with gifts, welcoming them to England, including a box of the local delicacies and a basket full of different kinds of chocolates and crisps. "Words here are so funny. Why is there a u in color? Why do they call chips crisps?" So many questions, Callisto hadn't gotten the chance to finish high school.

This might be her last opportunity, and so Io really didn't want to waste it. They were here in London, historically a smog infested seedy big city, then ruined by the Light Bearer war, and was now a big city again, rebuild it even more splendor than it once had. Callisto looked excited the whole way to the hotel while Io was a mixture of anxious and wary. She was officially here on guard duty but in reality it was because Callisto was trying to save her or something. Still, someone like Io was already damned, there was no two ways about it. "You won't even let her try." Fina complained, and Io felt the gut punch in her chest. Fina was the one who should be the saddest because of her loss but she seemed almost entirely focused on worrying about Io, who really did not like being worried about.

"I kind of want to see the Museum of Light." A museum build recently to house historical memoirs of the Light Bearer War. Dane nodded, his eyes lighting up a little. "Maybe I can try more Light Bearer cards!" The innocent exclaimed, bouncing with something between energy and exhaustion after the flight. "I hope I can find a Mizuki for my set." Io glanced at him, like a parent watching over their child. "Maybe you can even find a rare platinum laminated Ronan the Black Reaper." Ronan was Dane's favorite because according tot he history books he was everything a man was supposed to be. Strong, sensitive, protective and tough, he was a hero just as much as the rest despite his painful beginnings. Dane beamed at the thought. "That would be great! I want to be more like Ronan!"

Shy underachiever Dane would never be strong and cool like Ronan. But Io didn't need him to be like that, nor did she want him to be like that. As long as he remained innocent and weak, Io was happy. Because she was a piece of shit, because it meant he would always need her. At least someone would need her. A glance at Jace - the one who was replacing her spot as Callisto's favorite person in life. Whatever someone said, Callisto probably didn't really need Io anymore. And Minnie would have been so much better off if only Io hadn't come into her life. "A boat tour of Thames sounds fun too." Io decided to consider one of Callisto's suggestions as well.

Today was their free day to do whatever they wanted but they didn't have time to dally. After some discussion it was clear that they were having trouble deciding exactly what they wanted to do. It wasn't until Black Jack put his foot down for the and made the decision. "We're going to the Holmes Memorium." He declared officially, clearly not biased because he most definitely didn't have a shelf full of Holmes books back home. "After that we can check out the Museum of Light, then visit the concert site, and finally, a late night tour of the River Thames." He looked around, checking for any objections. Dane seemed content and Io didn't particularly care one way or another.

"That sounds good to me," the Museum of Light was a museum they all learned about. The Great Light Bearer War was, of course, the hallmark of history. It was the turning point for Japan and what allowed their city to flourish into the gleaming utopia the upper echelons of society believed it to be. London though, London was something else. The museum memorialized the pinnacle pieces of the war. Including the Black Reaper, Ronan, the technical genius, Allyana Vorkov, the Little Sinner, an idol in anguish, and little Yui, the Angel. There were more of course, there was an entire hall dedicated to them. Callisto could easily recall Dane's obsession with heroes and villains, touting how he waned to be like Ronan from the time they were young.

They were still young, a fact that was easy to forget. Callisto was only sixteen, she was reminded every time she thought about the cryo tube her body was frozen in. Her future, ripped away. She was supposed to finish high school, go to college, elevate her family's position. Instead, she was here, traveling the world, in a body she wasn't sure she could call her own. She was living in it, yes, but... how many sacrifices were made for her to be here? Lita was gone, and in a way, Callisto knew Jace wasn't over it. She loved her though, Jace loved Callisto for herself, not for the person she used to be. A hand slipped into her own, falling into step beside her. As protective as ever, she wasn't opposed to Io coming with them, Callisto had expected her to protest, but instead, Black Jack had. Why?

"You only picked that for Dane's sick, didn't you?" Callisto teased, sticking her tongue out at her sister. Was it weird for Io to see Callisto with another girl? Their parents certainly wouldn't appreciate it, they were old fashioned in their beliefs. Callisto herself had certainly never thought she would end up with someone older and... female. Due to their indecision, Black Jack made up an itinerary for them. "It sounds good to me!" Callisto chirped, placing her bag down on the bed. "I'm going to change into something more suitable for touring, I'll be right back." Jace followed Callisto into the bedroom, closing the door behind her. "You should wear this one," Jace pulled out a set of plainclothes a white blouse and black skirt. "It's perfect," no need for elaborate outfits when you were supposed to be in disguise.

Once dressed, the two of them exited the room, Black Jack having already called a car for them. "Let's go," he pushed them out the door, disappearing as soon as it closed behind them. While Callisto couldn't see him, no doubt everyone but Dane could. "I know we only get today to look around, but let's make the most of it!" Hopefully her optimism didn't seem forced, Callisto was just happy to be with the people she loved in a new city.

"He was my only friend." Io defended herself without shame. Dane was someone she wanted to protect and keep safe from the harsh cruelties of the world. Thankfully Lady Reiss wasn't a cruel person and she too cared for Dane. At the very least she provided him a home to be safe in, in exchange for performing tasks in her interest. Because of her, Dane and Io no longer had to do petty crime, they were reformed and turned into people worthy of something, even if the worthiness was only to serve the Flock. Though now Io was turned into Fina and now she was in a far more useful body than she ever would be. "Other than you, I guess." Could twins count as friends? It was impossible to know, really.

Dane grinned as Io helped him pick an outfit - just a simple tee-shirt, a vest coat and pants, nothing too fancy but still fairly comfortable at the same time. "Thanks. I'm so excited for this." He nearly bounced and Io nodded, happy to have pleased him. After failing Callisto and Minnie, Dane was her last chance at salvation. "You should forgive yourself." Fina added from inside Io's head. She didn't like how Io was always sad all the time, she didn't want it to be like this. "Well, I'll just be over in my room changing." Once in her room Io let out a heavy sigh. Callisto didn't have much time, she had to make the best of this last vacation. As she changed into her chosen outfit consisting of a simple leather jacket, a pleated plaid skirt with long socks and a white top sporting a gold design on the front, Io was ready for the day.

Black Jack was brooding in the back, eyes never leaving Jace as he remained invisible in the back, Jace was sitting up front with Callisto in the car, allowing the two sheep to sit next to each other as they were prepared to make their way. "It's odd to not have to drive for once." Dane said with a spring in his voice. "It's different being a passenger!" He could drive nearly any kind of vehicle, even more outlandish types like a train or a battle airship. Why did Jarvis teach him all of that? Only Lady Reiss would know the answer to that question. "Well, you're on a vacation for the most part." Io told him with a shrug. "Might as well relax."

"We missed the Festival of Light last week." Black Jack informed them from his stealth as he did his online research. "But the special exhibit for Yui should still be up and ready for viewing." As usual it was he who was in charge of the itinerary. "I'm excited." Dane grinned. "I hope to show Yui my respects for her hard work." Sure her home would always be Japan, but the exhibit was here in London at the very least. "How long ago was the Light Bearer War again?" Io asked, not really remembering since she was never that smart in school.

Black Jack shrugged as the car moved along the air straights of London. "Maybe a hundred years or so? Can't you look it up on Hymnos?" Io grimaced, not having thought of that. Ever since the incident with the virus, she didn't want to rely on the network as much as she once did. In any case, the car eventually made it to the Museum of Light in all of it's humble splendor - fancy enough, but not so much that it was needlessly extravagant. "We're here. What do you want to see first?" Clearly they were saving Yui's exhibit for last.

"How about the section for Xavier and Damian?" Io suggested as a starting point.

Once they were dressed and ready to go, Callisto got into the car, sitting beside Jace, who had changed into a pair of gray joggers and a hooded shirt. They were all incognito, not wanting to draw attention to themselves. "Look, I can see it from here!" Her eyes sparkled as they came across the museum, Callisto had previously been somewhat of a history buff, although a bit of her memory was fuzzy from all of the transfers she had gone through. The important things were still there of course, it was just, some of her memories were confused between what was herself and Lita. The building they were driving towards was not imposing on the landscape, in fact, it was built into a hillside, the roof made entirely of sod. The outside was a panel of solid stained glass and when the light hit it at just the right angle, it sent the image of the light bearer's markings across the ground.

They exited the car, attempting to debate where to start first. "That sounds good," since they wanted to save the Yui exhibit for last, it made sense to start at the farthest one. The Xavier and Damian exhibit was together and while the outside of the museum was unassuming, the inside was lined with history. There were artifacts from the war, including the actual holo screen Damian used to decode and send messages. In the entryway, a donation box was filled to the brim and Callisto found enough room to stick a bill inside to pay for their entrance fee. "Wow, this is beautiful," there was a statue dedicated to all those who had died, a large plaque with the engraved names of the light bearers who had perished.

The statue was made of bronze, they were children, appearing to be asleep, resting peacefully. Above them was a sign, reading about freedom. It repeated the phrase in several languages, each of which was translated by her inner systems when her eyes laid upon them. "It says that the Damian and Xavier exhibit is this way," Callisto pointed, leading them into the large room that depicted their histories. There was a small memorial to Jenny, flowers resting on the statue dedicated to her. In the center was a glowing holo screen, playing a live video feed of one of the fights that Damian and Xavier had been involved in.

"It's crazy to think that this was only a hundred years ago," that children were born with powers, that a child had saved the world from the oppression of light and darkness. Now, there was no such thing, there was no imbalance, children didn't have powers. Allyana Vorkov rebuilt Japan to be a mega empire, one that had exceeded the limits of imagination. Callisto couldn't wait to perform there, alongside some of the best pop idols that the world had ever seen.

That moment when you realize your character is 23 and everyone else is just a baby nugget O_O

Re: The Eden Project

I hope you don't mind that I gave the meeting place a room number, I just needed a place where I could put him.

Re: The Eden Project

I think that's fine. As soon as you're done we can start.

Re: The Eden Project

I think I will manage, and in that case I think I would like to properly reserve the character!

Though, as for the type of demon I was thinking along the lines of a ‘Dybbuk’ demon? As in, they could possess people and other creep stuff in that sense, if that is allowed?
