Kerindar, land of wonder and enchantment, forged from the ashes of an empire that fought against a darkness that so few remember now. Now the land has grown prosperous and good, governed by King Valinar in wisdom and just ruling. However, twenty years ago, everything changed when the king passed away. Some claimed he was poisoned by a member of his family, some claimed it was an angered peasant. Whatever the case, it served to divide the aristocracy amongst who was the heir. Half of the noble houses fell under the sway of the Count of Zankor, an ambitious man who wants progress made upon the people at a quickened rate. Whilst the rest fell upon the King's immediate relatives, Darion, the King's brother and the Duke of Valsir, one of the most reputable provinces for their craftsman and warriors, who would be a Regent Lord to Valinar's then unborn child under his bride, Queen Eleanor.

But the Count of Zankor was not amused with the existence of the Queen, and knew of a loophole, that since the king wouldn't be alive to properly proclaim the child his, he'd brand it a bastard child. But his plans miscarried, as Darion sniffed out the plot and arrested him. This began the first stage of the war.

Battles were waged to free the Count, and as he himself was imprisoned, he sent some of his own children into the world with the set instructions of finding a way to gain the throne for themselves if he were to die in the war. They left immediately to do so, never to meet their father unless in dreams, or on the front of the war in disguise.

However, the war became long, and The Count was freed, starting up the current stage of the war, with the kingdom slowly fracturing and dividing. This gains the attention of warrior groups who want nothing but glory and money to use their weapons in the battlefield.

Mercenaries, you'll never see a more battle hardened fighter then these folk. They get paid for pillaging, raiding, and essentially being arrow fodder if the pay was right. Both sides of the Civil War were using band upon band of warriors. However, there was an independent group, which as of yet had not chosen where they stood. They were different, men and women, some local to the kingdom, some of a far away place, were seen amongst them. Unique would be the best description for them. Their Band name was called The Dragon's Fang. These warriors dedicated themselves to battle, and to defend those who asked for it, and be paid to do great things. Their story may be told throughout the centuries, but first, it must begin with a single step. They must also be wary, as strange beasts were stirring from the sounds of war, and monsters awaken from the smell of fresh blood.

This is their story, and what happens is a story one must witness to believe...

The fact that Na'ari seemed to be ignoring him by now didn't exactly make Bjork's mood somewhat good, he got quiet for once and just stood there. It wasn't often it happened but sometimes when feeling down not even Bjork would jump around acting all goofy. And if it was something known about Bjork it was that his mood swings was as drastic as any teenage girl. When someone suddenly poked his side he just turned his head around with a sour expression, clearly not in the mood for such things.

"Silly Bjork, you don't provoke me, I can provoke you. As is my right as a dancer, teehee."

It took some time for Bjork to process what it was that Rose wanted to say him, he was not the best at understanding jokes. Not that he thought she was serious either, he just didn't get her point at first. "Rose, I think you and I are talking about different types of provoking though. I was not talking about taking off my clothes and dance in such manners... But it does sound rather funny now that I think of it..." Bjork could only imagine how much it would make the people in here laugh or perhaps despise him. Either way, just that thought made that sour expression on his face vanish as if it had never been there.

He was just about to actually strip himself of his shirt to actually perform some sort of dance, which would probably lead to him fall flat on his face, Lorelei finally entered the tavern. It was not that she had kept herself from there because she didn't feel like hanging out with the other's or anything like that. No, Lorelei had actually spent some time with Bjork outside in town before he left for this particular tavern so she knew this were where he went. She had been inside once before but left as soon, basically because of the music. She didn't favor the kind of music the band played, it annoyed her you could say. So she had been placed on the town square instead where she had been playing by herself, or it hadn't been by herself. Lorelei believed that she had been playing her tune while Ophelia had been sitting beside her while humming along to the melody.

When Lorelei approached the other's Bjork quickly tried to fix his clothes so they wouldn't show what he had planned to do. And even though Lorelei couldn't understand why they looked like they did she still saw what he did. It was Rose and everyone else that Bjork felt like joking with because their reactions would still be pretty funny - Lorelei's would not. He knew what she thought of such things and it was not positive, which was another reason for Lorelei to leave the place, she was not found of Rose's dancing. It was too... provocative.

Rose had to stifle a giggle at Bjork's words, as she slowed her dance down as the music slowed. She was tiring and wanted at least some relaxation. She also had to reflect on what occurred at this battle, and plan appropriately for her next encounter with one of her siblings. It was then that Lorelei made her appearance into the tavern. Rose finally stopped and took a bow to the members of the guild present as she walked to where her personal stuff was kept, and sat down upon the table on which it stayed.

Na'ari rolled his eyes at Bjork's attempted antic that suddenly stopped without warning. He coughed a laugh as he then noticed the cause. Lorelei was present, it seemed that even though the others would've laughed at Bjork's antics, Lorelei seemed to have a different face about it. "Four and three, odd!" Shouted the next result of betting and Na'ari raked two more silvers in his bag. "Thank you for the nice game folks. Took me a while to get used to it though. Thank you for introducing it to me Bjork." with those words said he walked back to where his stuff is as the betting continued as he ate from his food. Rose waved at Lorelei.

"Play them a song Lorelei! It's been forever since we heard you play!" Rose stated as she watched her walk to where most of the men had their section of the tavern. Rose felt humbled whenever Lorelei walked in on her dancing. It was as if the woman did not approve of the style, or something else along those lines. However, in her mind and soul, it was all practice for Rosaria to seduce the biggest prize. The hand of the young Boy king the regent was ruling for. Once she had him, she would never let go.

Na'ari however was finishing his meal as he watched Lorelei, wondering what she would do when she sat down. For the first day, he thought of Lorelei as the quiet type, and the shy type as well, but Na'ari thought he felt something else off her too, like a hidden outer shell of sorts. Maybe if he listened to her play a song he'd understand her more. Then again maybe not. He'd have to see to know and believe.

"Same thing that happened when I saw my first dragon...in the Valsir mountains." he thought. He tapped Draconil's pommel in silent thought, the image of arriving at those mountains at fifteen still fresh in his memory.

"Thank you for the nice game folks. Took me a while to get used to it though. Thank you for introducing it to me Bjork."

Bjork had drifted off into thoughts for a moment and wasn't prepared for Na'ari's sudden retreat from the game so when Na'ari suddenly spoke out he at first was just blinking in confusion. "Oh, eh, no problem I guess..." When he suddenly realized that Na'ari had just escaped from his grasp and went back to his food instead it was with a pouting expression that Bjork kicked the leg of the table. He took this as a sign that Na'ari just didn't want to be his friend, which made him upset.

"Play them a song Lorelei! It's been forever since we heard you play!"

Lorelei's eyes was directed towards Rose when she addressed her, but it was with a smile even though she had caught the woman when dancing in such a provoking way. She wouldn't say anything about it though, but people somehow knew her pinion anyway - probably because just her eyes sent out her disapproving vibes. "If that's what you want then absolutely. It has indeed been a while since I had time to play you all a song."

While she sat down she took off the lute from her back, getting ready to play what was on her mind. Even though it was a happy day and she somehow felt victorious there was something else that had captured her mind. It was indeed the thought of Ophelia, which was why Lorelei once more had a hard time letting go off the feeling that Ophelia was following her closely. Hiding from the other’s like she would usually do. That Ophelia sat beside her and started humming along when Lorelei's fingers started to play the lonesome tune while closing her eyes.

When the melody surrounded the room Bjork stopped his kicking and got still for once more this evening. He just listened to the tune that Lorelei played, he had never heard it before - but it wasn't that surprising because he never recognized the songs she played. He had never heard the same song twice either, but he enjoyed it anyway. But he was slightly confused with her choice of tune.

Rose sat back and listened to her friend played. Part of her wished they shared the stage together but she knew Lorelei would never approve as long as she did her routine. Rose looked at Bjork and walked over to him. "Give Na'ari time, it's still technically his first day and a lot has happened. He will probably see you're trying to make friends and open up a little bit."

Na'ari in the meanwhile, listened to Lorelei play her song. The music stirred something in his heart, of course all music stirs his heart. He felt Lorelei's personality touch him. He actually wondered what she hid. This made the young man more curious. Na'ari continued to listen. Memories came alive in his mind, displaying like pictures in his minds. Seeing them brought a tear to his eyes. He heaved a sigh as he wiped it off his face.

He had to maintain his dignity. Na'ari was a member of the Azura clan. He had pride and a reputation to maintain. Plus, he had what he felt was a masterpiece of a weapon. His own blade Draconil, with which he hoped to end the war with. He'd hope for the chance and leap at it.

"Give Na'ari time, it's still technically his first day and a lot has happened. He will probably see you're trying to make friends and open up a little bit."

Bjork just pouted as an response at first, throwing his head to the sides while trying to accept that he needed to give someone time until they would accept him. He didn't like it, he wanted them to become buddies instantly like how it was with everyone else - in Bjork's delusional mind. After a while of acting like that he just stopped and let out a heavy sigh, "Fine... I guess you are right... But... But I'm just trying to be nice you know!" And once more Bjork was pouting while folding his arms.

By now Lorelei had played her sad tune for quite some time and she had finished processing the dark and lonely feelings she concealed deep inside herself. So with a huge smile she looked up at the other's inside the tavern, "What do you all say about celebrating our victory?" When the cheer filled the room Lorelei started to play her lute once more but this time it was a much happier tune. It filled the room with the feeling of warmth and cheerfulness, a completely different mood than before. When playing such tunes Lorelei indirect invited everyone to join in on dancing or singing, her happy tunes was always an invitation to have fun.

As soon as the tune filled the room with it cheerful notes the mood in the tavern instantly lightened up, even Bjork got into a better mood. Hearing the light notes he just started to grin while he grabbed Rose's both hands, "May I have this dance?" Even though he made the effort to ask her he didn't wait for her response however, he just started to twirl around the room with her. He wasn't a good dancer no, but at least he had fun and all he wished for was the other ones to have it as well.

Rose chuckled at Bjork's reaction. He looked like a poor excitable kid. Then Lorlei changed the tune to a more merrier one to celebrate the victory, and she smiled. The men reveled and cheered whilst Na'ari looked on in amusement. He watched as the people danced and be merry.

"May I have this dance?" Rose was about to say something when Bjork took her to dance anyway. Rose just began to blush and giggle like any other normal girl. Although it took all of her skills in the dance to avoid being stepped on by Bjork's feet. Usually Rose would be the one asking a person to dance, but Bjork's silly nature made him beat her to it. She loved it nonetheless.

Na'ari gave a small laugh in observing Bjork's actions as he sighed. The group was dancing and celebrating, and although it was a small contribution he made to it, he was glade for the victory and its results. He knew though there was no one for him to dance with and celebrate with. So for now, he celebrated the victory with the others in his own way. The next cheer he silently raised a glass and drank.

Once everyone was busy with celebrating their victory and was generally happy Lorelei stopped playing because the band had already joined in, so it was not like someone noticed that she stopped playing. As the band carried on with her tune she rose up from the chair she had placed herself on and walked over to the bartender and got herself something to drink like the rest. When she was equipped with a glass of her own she looked around for a place to sit. All of the tables was pretty occupied and even though there was some with empty chairs she didn't feel like joining the loud groups that was already sitting beside them.

It was quite troublesome to be precise but there was one table that seemed to be much calmer than the others, so obviously she went over to Na'ari's table. With a small smile she looked down at him where he sat to ask with a soft voice, "May I sit down at your table?" Even though Lorelei earlier had been very suspicious of Na'ari some of it had died out after the battle.

After a while of dancing Bjork had worn himself out, but it wasn't that strange since he had been fighting earlier today as well. So when he felt like he wasn't able to move anymore he let go of Rose and bowed, "Th-thank you for the dance... But now I think I must rest for a bit because even I can get tired... And I think you need to rest your feet’s as well, me stepping on them I mean... Sorry about that, I have two left feet’s when it comes to dancing... Which you probably already know." Bjork was starting to get confused by himself at what he was talking about, he lost track of the subject and started to ramble. When he realized it he just dragged a hand over his face and sank down on the nearest chair, if someone had claimed it before he did was not something he cared about at the moment.

With a small hand gest he continued after he had collected his thoughts once more, "You probably wants to continue to dance, feel free to do so. It's not like I have claimed you for myself." after saying so Bjork just laughed quietly, why he did not know. He just found the idea very amusing over all.

"May I sit at your table?" Na'ari looked up and saw Lorelei staring down at him with a small smile. She asked him quietly, like she wanted to join his quiet table. With a small nod he started to make sure none of the stuff he brought with him was in the way, shifting his sword to a different spot on the table. "Make yourself comfortable." he said calmly as he looked at her with a small smile of his own. He was actually rather nervous at her presence. He didn't know what she thought of him. Earlier today she felt suspicious of him. He didn't know where he stood with her now, was he like a new friend to her or just someone she would keep an eye on? "That was a beautiful song you were playing earlier, I never heard one like it before." he said shyly. He didn't know how to compliment people well.

Meanwhile Rose and Bjork eventually tired out a little as The latter sat down and the former ordered a cold drink for her. "You probably want to continue to dance, feel free to do so. It's not like I claimed you for yourself." Rose looked at him oddly. But he was right. No one in the band claimed her. Not even the Boss. That gave her a sense of power over them. No man would claim her unless she wanted to be claimed. And she wanted to be claimed by one person and one person alone. "The Boy King, you will be mine." Rosaria thought in the depths of her mind as she smiled and patted Bjork's head.

"Thank you Bjork but I'm taking a small break. I was entertaining everyone for while. Even dancers have to catch their breath." as she stated this she took a tall glass of cold drink and took a long swig from it. The cold drink refreshed her heated body from the dancing she had done tonight.

As soon as she had gotten Na'ari's approval to take place at his table Lorelei sat down and placed the lute beside her where she could keep her eyes on it. It was indeed the most valuable thing she owned, not because it was overly expensive but because it held a lot of dear memories to her. It was the same one that her father had let her take over, it was his from the beginning but since she wanted to learn he taught her and at times Ophelia as well. Ophelia had preferred to just watch though and at times hum along when the melodies Lorelei had tried to play actually started to sound like real music. It was her Ophelia's connection to each other.

"That was a beautiful song you were playing earlier, I never heard one like it before."

Lorelei gave him another small smile at his sentence before raising her glass and sipping at it, when done she placed it at the table once more. "It's not strange that you've never heard it before, it's not really a song. I created it in the spur of the moment, I don't like to play other's songs you see... It's funnier to just play whatever that comes to mind, capture the moment. At least that's what I like to describe it as."

While Bjork was still laughing to himself for what he had said he did try to calm down just a little to be able catch what she said, "Thank you Bjork but I'm taking a small break. I was entertaining everyone for a while. Even dancers have to catch their breath."

As soon as she was done speaking he once more was giggling to himself, "Yes, I guess that's true. Even dancers need a break at times, you are all just humans. Even though I think some does get disappointed at your break." Bjork swept his hand out to just point out the rest of the lads in the room. To call Rose the bands idol was probably an underestimation or right on the mark, the fact that she indeed was popular wasn't that big of a secret. "I think they are pretty mad at me for hijacking you without sharing."

He listened to her for awhile, and nodded in understanding. "Some of the stuff, like my armor and my sword, are things I made spur of the moment to. I guess it's something people have, creativity and what not." he didn't know why he said that, but maybe it was an attempt to get some common ground. But blacksmithing obviously wasn't it so heaving a deep breath, he then said, "Although, music wise, I sang, nearly all the songs I could remember. Don't know if I still got the talent or not."

Rose smiled at Bjork saying that everyone was human. Maybe because being with nearly everyone in the band gave her a more down to earth understanding of the common folk, or because she liked how easy it can be to wrap Bjork. "I think they are pretty mad at me for hijacking you without sharing."

"Is that all?" she asked with a turn of her head. "I may be on break from dancing but I'm never on break for a scrap if you boys even think on harassing my friend. So bugger off." Most of the men backed away at that statement, due to the fact that the icy blue stare that was given was slightly unnerving, but also the feminine dominance of charm. She excelled at this persuasive technique. It's what made her survive and become one of the popular members of the band. Oh she knew she had become the Band Idol long ago. But she would not be claimed by any man, not yet.

"That's better. Enjoy your meals and I'll be back to performing later." she stated as she sat down to order a meal of her own. She eyed Lorelei and Na'ari in their own table, but she assumed it was merely them getting to know each other. Soon she will have to get her share, like learning how Na'ari forged that sword he always seems to be everywhere with, armor on or off.

Lorelei listened silently to what Na'ari said as he spoke about how he made his sword and armor. It was a bit of a surprise to her, even though she didn't know anything about how blacksmithing worked she still thought that it didn't work like that. Or on impulses, she thought that it was highly restricted by some rules or things like that. But apparently not? Or this one just didn't care about it since he created his own things in the spur of the moment.

"But can't it end in disaster if you just create things in the spur of the moment? I mean, I just pluck some strings to create a melody but you deal with such high temperatures and all that?" It was an honest question, but also because she tried to be friendly and knew for a fact that what people enjoyed to talk about the most were themselves. So she took an interest in the man himself and what he found interesting instead of making him bored by continue to chatter about the things she enjoyed only. Such a conversation was doomed to end sooner rather than later.

"Although, music wise, I sang, nearly all the songs I could remember. Don't know if I still got the talent or not."

"Oh," So the man sang. Lorelei glanced down on her lute when hearing about it, she didn't mind that people sung to her tunes if she played such songs but she preferred not to talk about it. Because it made her feel lonely on the inside. "Many years ago I presume? Me too... I haven't sung in a long time."

When Rose told the other members of their group off Bjork only laughed at it, he saw it as a joke. Like he did with most things. It was not like he had been feeling unpleasant in the first place when it came to the other band members jealously, that was something he just brushed off as insignificant. They wouldn't try anything. At the end of the day they still trusted each other and fought together.

"Oh Rosie, you are so funny! And great! I'm glad you are on our side."

Na'ari looked at Lorelei in surprise of her question. He didn't realize that what he said made her worried for his safety. He then looked down awkwardly after she spoke of her singing. "Sorry if I opened any wounds. Anyway, in answering your questions, when I mean I made them out of spur of the moment what I meant was, the form of the blade and armor came into my mind in the spur of a moment. High temperatures and hot metal are nothing unless you have a clear thinking on what you plan to make." he stated as he gestured to Draconil. "Making that blade took me years because I wanted to get its form down and make it something that my children's children's children and beyond that to use... That is if I manage to raise a family of my own."

Rose smiled at Bjork. "Oh Rosie, you are so funny! And great! I'm glad you are on our side." Rose visibly beamed. "Why thank you Bjork. It's not often my aggressively assertive side gets complimented." she stated with a bright smile. "I am glad I'm on your side too, kid. Let's hope I can stay that way. I love everyone in this band. Now, however, we must drink, be merry about this victory, and toast for many battles to come." Rosaria thought. Her mind thinking silently on future battles and struggles.

Rose looked over at Na'ari and Lorelei and it seemed they were trying to find some common ground to communicate. She smirked at the scene. What she wouldn't give to have a conversation like that.

"Oh..." Lorelei blinked in surprisement before she looked down at the sword once more. Seeing it after hearing for how long he had worked on it did give a larger impact, suddenly she had a totally different feeling towards the guy. Admiration. She had always believed that blacksmithing was hard but not that difficult. But perhaps different people didn't care as much as he did, at least she knew now that he was dedicated when it came to such things. It was just a guess but she thought to herself that he probably never would do something half heartily.

"It's a nice thought, to create something that is meant to last an eternity and just grow in sentimental value over the years since it keeps being passed to the children." After sipping on her glass once more she gave him a quick smile, "You are not that old. You don't look old so I don't see any reason to why you have to fear not being able to raise a family, you have still plenty of good years ahead of you."

"Why thank you Bjork. It's not often my aggressively assertive side gets complimented."

Once more Bjork started to laugh while Rose talked about herself, he could agree with the traits she mentioned but it was all just a part of her charm. Someone that was perfect all the time would just come off as fake and Bjork wasn't that interested in "perfect" either. They were not fun to be around most of the time because they were so focused on their image. When you work together you need to let people in to earn their trust, so the bad traits needed to reach the surface.

With a wide smile Bjork blinked his right eye towards Rose in joking manners, "It's just a part of your charm, Rosie. It makes you fun to be around."

"It's just a part of your Charm, Rosie. It makes you fun to be around." Rose actually giggled in small glee. "Well since you're being honest I'll spend my break with you." she stated as she sat at the table he was at.

"Oh..." He heard Lorelei say as she stared at Draconil. He felt her mood shift in some way shape or form, but couldn't understand it. "It's a nice thought. To create something that is meant to last an eternity and just grow in sentimental value over the years since it keeps getting passed to the children." she sipped her glass again and gave a more quick smile. You're not that old. You don't look old so I don't see any reason to why you have to fear not being able to raise a family. You still have plenty of good years ahead of you."

Na'ari chuckled as his smile grew big. "I'll drink to that. To good years ahead of us." he then took a long drink of the brew.

---

The night went on. Come next morning, the Dragon Fang band was back at the camp either sleeping off hangovers or working on his or her work. Na'ari had cleaned most of his blacksmith tent and was working on a suit of armor to try and sell to the quartermaster of the guild and make ends meet. He was hard at work, this was his cure for any hangovers he had. He was in a state of concentration that he assumed could not be broken.

As soon as the sun rays made its way over the horizon Lorelei stepped up from bed. She had always been a morning person rather than someone who enjoyed the evenings. Even though she did have a small headache because of the evening before it didn't stop her from checking if everything was where it was supposed to be and organizing those that had changed places. It was her early morning routine. She didn't have much else to do in the mornings since she usually just awaited an assignment for the day.

Once she had cleaned her place twice she finally made her way out into the sun. Outside she looked around to see if anything was about to happen but sadly it was the usual empty spaces since most people was still sleeping. And even though somewhere up and out like her most of them seemed to be half asleep.

When she was done stretching out her body she made her way over to the tent most people went to in the morning, she was about to get some breakfast. It was the only thing she could do when there was nothing going on. Inside the tent she sat down beside some of the people she knew slightly, even though she didn't talk with them she still listened to their conversation.

Someone who wasn't even awoke at this time was Bjork. He was still in bed, hugging his pillow tightly while snoring slightly. He had no intention to go up in a long while either. The only reason for him to step up was in case someone woke him up because they had something important to do.

Na'ari wiped sweat from his brow as he worked. His body was warm from the toil of the forge as he worked long and hard. He couldn't afford to be half asleep. Not yet, not now. After about two hours of working before sunup and an hour after it, the sun hit his eyes as he groaned. He looked at his half finished armor and with a shrug, put his tools down and grabbed Draconil, fastening both blade and sheath on his person as he walked to the breakfast tent. He pulled out a cloth to wipe his face from the soot that might've gone on his face from the entire ordeal.

Before he could do anything, a slender hand pulled him to a table when he was wiping his eyes. Rose had discovered him and was brushing soot off his hair with her hand. "My goodness, you're all dirty from cleaning that forge? Goodness gracious you've been a busy bee." she stated as Na'ari wiped his face.

"I was making some armor to sell to the quartermaster so he can sell it to someone who needs it." the young blacksmith explained as he finished clearing soot off and gave a friendly smile before going to grab breakfast. Rose only nodded in understanding but mentally she felt like puking at all the dirt she had to throw off of his hair. She had to keep her facade up though. People were watching her, as Guild's Idol she had to keep up appearances. That and of course maintain a reputation.

Speaking of appearances, Rose noted that poor Bjork wasn't awake yet and heaved a sigh. He wasn't a morning person, and when he woke he'd be extremely grumpy. Rose had to prepare for that.

Lorelei noticed the sooty man just like everyone else in the tent. There was some odd characters inside the band but when someone walked into the tent which was supposed to feed everyone that sooty it seemed a bit strange. Or stranger than usual. At least that was what Lorelei thought. Since she was so picky when it came to cleanliness and organization she did find it a bit troublesome that he entered the place like that. She didn't like the feeling of any of his dirt touching the food she was supposed to eat - good thing she had already eaten.

Even though it was with a bit of hesitation she did rise up from the seat and make her way over to the table she had seen Rose drag away Na'ari to. Even though he wasn't there at the moment she could see where he had sat down so she avoided that chair. Not only because she guessed he would want it back when he returned with his breakfast but also because she didn't want to get her clothes dirty because of it. With a small smile towards Rose she sat down on a chair in front of her, "So you've already eaten as well? I mean since you don't attempt to fetch any."

In another part of the camp an extremely tired and sour person got rolled out of bed by another mercenary, which only led to him getting kicked by the tired one. Bjork had finally woken up, or actually no he was still asleep. But he was at least out of bed and without even dressing properly the half asleep giant made his way over to fetch some breakfast. Of course it led to a bit curious and confused glances when he walked past people only wearing pants. Ant not even proper ones. Like that he made his way into the tent without even realizing it.

"So you've eaten as well? I mean since you don't attempt to fetch any?" Rose gave a nod in confirmation as Lorelei sat down. "It wasn't really anything else to do. Sleep well Lorlei?" However, her face turned into one of slight shock as she saw Bjork walk into the tent only wearing his pants. Na'ari was on his way back when he saw Bjork too and couldn't help but hold in a laugh. He knew better then to laugh.

Of course, he looked slightly ridiculous too, with bits of soot on his face and such like as he sat back down in the chair he was at moments before. He saw Lorelei sitting next to Rose and realized by the way she looked she didn't like the way he looked right now. "I promise I'll clean up better after breakfast. Soot is hard to take off after all. " the Blacksmith said with a shrug and a smile. He chuckled, a memory of seeing his grandfather covered in soot one time after his immense flue being cleaned. His grandfather cursed to no tomorrow whilst he laughed.

He hoped Bjork was in a good mood with some food in his system. He had a slight feeling he got up on the wrong side of the bed.

"It wasn't really anything else to do. Sleep well Lorlei?"

"Of course, I always sleep well after a victory." Just as Lorelei finished her sentence she noticed that Rose's gaze drifted away and the facial expression that couldn't mean anything good. For a moment Lorelei wondered what it all could mean, she couldn't hear any tumult from outside so it couldn't be an attack. But as soon as she had turned her head around she saw what had drawn Rose attention. With deep wrinkles Lorelei glared at Bjork as he walked over to the food without even being properly dressed.

When she turned her head towards the table once more Na'ari had returned, he did apologize for his appearance but Lorelei moved her legs slightly away from him anyway. Making sure that they wouldn't accidently bump into each other and get sot on her. But even though she had made such things to avoid such an event it didn't help when the tired giant made his way over to the table with his food drawn towards those people he enjoyed to spend time with the most.

As he walked past the people sitting around the table he accidently bumped into everyone one of them, his sleepy body was to wobbly and when he finally was seated every one of the other three had gotten a taste of some part of his body. Which had ended up with Lorelei accidently being shoved towards the dirt.

Na'ari did not expect Bjork to bump into everyone at the table. He caught himself and used his one clean hand to try and get Loreli up as Rose got up from being knocked backwards, seat and all. "Idiot! Watch where you're going if you're half asleep! And where is your shirt?!" she shouted at the half dressed man As Na'ari turned back to his food and ate, regardless on if he managed to help Lorelei or not.

"Oh my, it seemed that the three of you got clobbered there." A gruff voice said. Rose sat straight up in a leisurely and appropriate fashion, to look slightly presentable for their Leader. "Is the fourth seat of this table taken?"

"Of course not Ragnar, make yourself comfortable!" Rose said, almost having a different attitude then what she had previously with Bjork a moment ago. The Leader of Dragon Fang sat down with his own breakfast and sighed. "So then, how is everyone today? Ah, Na'ari, cleaning your forge? Good man."

Na'ari gave a small shrug as he finished half of his breakfast. "Thank you sir."

"Now then, the four of you, I have something important to tell you. We are about to get a visit from the Regent Lord, the King, and several members of the Elite rankings of the Royal Army. This means be on your best behaviors. I'm telling you this first because I want you guys to help be the group to oversee the King's protection whilst he's here. Can you do that?"

Rose had a look of total shock, one would thought she'd have frozen in time. "Of course dear Leader, we will do that." Rose squeaked a reply. Inside her head, she was freaking out. "The King?! Here now?! Today?! I've been planning for this day now I don't know what to do!!"

Na'ari hearing these news had a different reaction. "Then I need to get cleaned up appropriately. Hey Bjork, want the rest of my breakfast?" Na'ari asked his drowsy counterpart of the only two males in their little fighting group.

Lorelei felt extremely humiliated while she tried to brush off the sot she had gotten on herself from landing onto Na'ari. And she would probably continue to be ashamed for the rest of the day, avoiding to look him in the face and all. She was doing it even now. She could look everywhere else but directly at his face, well not everywhere. She couldn't face the half naked Bjork either. That calm face of hers fell as soon as she got the slightest little flustered because of things like these.

But like Rose she shaped herself up in the prensence of their leader, she even felt e little bit preveleged by the fact that he sat down with them of all people. Sure, Rose was sort of an important person around here. But she was the only important person out of all of them. Or perhaps Na'ari was counted as important as well since the leader had been trying so hard to recruit him. The only one that didn't seem even the slightest bothered by the leaders presence, he didnät even seem to have notice it, was Bjork that just continued to eat like nothing had happened at all. He wasn't even paying attention to what the leader told them.

"It's an honor to be granted such an assignment, I'm sure everyone of us will do our best." Lorelei didn't know what she was supposed to say about the news. They were so large, huge. This was probably one of the biggest things that had happened to her. She couldn't actually belive it was actually happening for real. She, of all people, meeting the king. It was huge.

"Then I need to get cleaned up appropriately. Hey Bjork, want the rest of my breakfast?"

"Uh... Yeah, sure?" The sleeping beauty, sorry no the sleeping giant, finally had woken up from his slumber. At least enough to actually be able to answer the question directed towards him. And when he sat there, chewing another bite, he finally realised what was going around him. Without even swallowing the food in his mouth he burst out in surprise, "Wait... Wait! Did he just say... the king? Like in the king, king? The ruler of the land?" Finally things became clear as the day, Bjork was wide awake, staring at the others around the table. The leader as well. Untill he looked down in an even more confused expression, "Wait... Wait! Where is my shirt?! Is this some joke?! Did you steal it?!" No, Bjork hadn't exactly figured out how someone was supposed to be able to steal clothes from his body without him noticing it. He assumed it was the case because he couldn't remember leaving his tent without it - he couldn't remember leaving his tent at all that morning.

Rose and Ragnar slowly broke into a laugh at Bjork's reaction as Na'ari quietly slipped away to clean himself for the King's arrival. Who would swipe clothes from the gentle giant sleeping? It mattered not to Na'ari at that very moment.

---

It was about noontime and Na'ari was in his armor again, Draconil sheathed. His helmet was off and being held by his left hand as he waited with Ragnar and the others meet the King and the Regent Lord and the rest of the entourage. Na'ari was slightly nervous, as he was meeting the King and the also the Duke of his home region of Kerindar. Rose was in one of her armor, yet her hair was done and she had her makeup on.

To Na'ari this made her look like she was trying to look both tough and pretty to the King. Was she expecting to try to flirt with him? He silently rolled his eyes at his own assumption as he heard hoofbeats as some men riding next to an entourage of five horsemen came, blowing a small fanfare announcing the arrival.

"All Hail Regent Lord Darion, and King Markus of Kerindar, escorted by the Three Heroes of the Elite Army!" The Regent Lord and Two of the heroes dismounted as Ragnar approached the Regent Lord.

"Darion, you look like you grew some grey whiskers." Ragnar remarked as he embraced him. "Welcome old friend, Welcome!"

"You look like you've gotten fat Ragnar." The Duke of Valsir quipped back. "These two here are my sons, Sean and Varin. Capable warriors who've proven themselves. Of course you know my Nephew, the King. The Hero sitting on the horse still is Lady Lunaria of The Krean province. We expect this to be a pleasant visit and change from the routine to discuss things."

"More like keep Father's spies from here." Rosaria thought. She kept her mouth shut but worried slightly at the heroes' presence. Lunaria especially. If she wanted to try and court the King, she had to find a way to keep her occupied.

"It is an Honor and a privelege to meet you and your entourage, Great Duke. Valsir still owes your clan many debts of gratitude." Na'ari stated with a bow.

"Ah, a fellow Valsirian! Varin! We ain't alone out here!" Sean said to the brother at his side, who kept silent.

For the first time both Bjork and Lorelei experienced the same emotions at the exact same time, they were both nervous and extremely excited at the same time. Who wouldn't be? People prayed to be able to experience what they were doing at this moment, being able to see the king at this distance. Neither one of them knew if they even was allowed to talk with the man when Na'ari suddenly spoke up.

Lorelei frowned at the happening, thinking that the guy was crazy that did something like that. They were only there to protect him, not have some sort of small talk, but she could understand why he wanted to say those things. But Bjork stared at Na'ari with eyes as big as plates, admiring him, he looked like he had just met his one true hero. As if he was the bravest man alive for daring to do such a thing. And it gave Bjork the bravery to open his mouth t say something as well.

But just as he was going to say something he got a hard punch in the side from Lorelei, she had seen what was coming and had no intention to let him speak. She knew he would make them all look like fools. She didn't want to look like a fool in front of the king or his men. So Bjork’s intendent speech turned into a cough and a disappointed glance towards Lorelei for telling him to shut up.

Rose glared at Bjork for nearly saying anything as suddenly Mark dismounted along with the other heroes, save for Lady Lunaria. Meantime the Duke acknowledged Na'ari's greeting with only a nod and wave of his hand. Na'ari gave the same nod of appreciation as he rejoined the others.

"So you're the security detail then? I'm Markus, King of Kerindar. And you are young lady?"

"I-I'm Rose, your grace." she managed to say, as all of a sudden the king kissed her hand. She flushed red in shock and surprised as Sean whistled. Varin stayed the way he was, silent as a rock. Na'ari gave a small chuckle as Rose lightly slapped his head. "Sorry Rose I could not resist! You looked so cute for a moment. Wouldn't you agree Bjork?" He asked, still holding his smile when he felt eyes boring into him as Lady Lunaria seemed to either be giving him the evil eye, or gauging him in her own judgement.

Na'ari went straight faced as he cleared his throat. "Let's uh, give the king a tour whilst Ragnar and the Regent Lord talk fellas how about it?" he felt like he wanted to get away from this woman, and soon if need be.
