Introduction
Children with powers and skills far beyond what was thought possible.
Too powerful an asset to be left alone, the government began tracking down, and capturing any of the Gifted as soon as they were born. After five years, the government successfully gathered almost 100% of the children into a secret facility known as "Equius". There, the children would be contained, and could be trained to run missions, or experimented on for research and development.
However, the existence of Equius was leaked, and riots broke out. Within weeks, the government collapsed, and anarchy reined. As a surviving human or one of the Gifted, you must struggle to survive in a world without order. Though the streets are run by different gangs and resistances, there is a prediction that a great leader would soon rise from the chaos to change the world.
We are still accepting characters!

Jace replied like usual. "Life isn't gumdrops and roses."
He was finishing wrapping up Alice's feet, using clean, sterilized bandages, making sure they stayed in place.
She kicked him none too gently. "She hasn't seen any of her family in ages, and she's all alone in the world. Even though you annoy me to Hell's Gate, I still can depend on you just a little bit. Put yourself in Alice's shoes!"
Jace sighed. "Completely missed the point." He muttered under his breath. Louder, he said, "Alice, try to stay off your feet, otherwise they might get awfully worse. Jaz, ankle braces."
Jaz grinned. "Oh, okay. Alice, this is going to be fun!"
Jace started the scrap box conveyer, moving it closer so they could try to make Alice some kind of braces to keep her off her feet so they'd heal. Jace and Jaz quickly got to work, settling into a routine they'd developed, each another half of the same mind, working to achieve the same thing. They started by building a support system of sturdy rods, and adding wires in different colors, completely soundless, and also never in conflict, but always doing something the other didn't.

"it's true, life is never going to be easy for anybody ever again. At least I'm still alive." another
Cough rattled her lungs. Well for now.. She added mentally.
"I don't have any plans to go off walking.." she glanced gratefully at the pair as they swiveled around her feet.
"honestly thank you. No one has ever done anything like this for me. Thank you. " she spoke softly.
The speed in which they work baffled her. Maybe it was because they were gifted or maybe because they were so synchronized and shared thought patterns.
Alice scratched at her arms out of habit, her pale skin showed blotches of red from sun exposure. Her hair was a mess and had sticks and other objects which shouldn't be in there. She tucked it behind her ears in an Attempt to calm it.
Her face and body was covered with dirt and dried blood stAins. What she really needed was a shower, she was pretty certain she didn't smell so good either.

"...your hair doesn't look right." she remarked cryptically before leaning back against one of the walls. She sunk her hands into her pocket and pulled out some old scraps of paper, that she began folding absent-mindedly. Fortunately for her the paper, which seemed to be some old typed file pages, with holes punched along the edge, appeared to have escaped without becoming entirely waterlogged.

Jaz was hyperly excited. "It is waterproof, right? Right? Right? Ri-"
Jace was muttering under his breath. "As if you don't know..."
"HEY! I heard that." Jaz was in prime hyper mode. Jace felt the first stirrings of nervousness. He had the feeling the next few hours would make him want to lock himself up.
He sighed and answered, the way Jaz was expecting him to. "Yes, Jaz, you annoying little brat, the braces are waterproof."
"Allrighty, come on along, Alice, you're going to get outfitted, and take a shower, and fix your hair, and test out your support braces!" She said all in a rush.
Jace's face turned pale. "Oh no. Alice, I'm afraid she's hyper now. If she offers to do a makeover, refuse. She isn't the best person to be around right now. But yeah, do whatever you want to do, Jaz will show you where you have to go." He knew that he was leaving Alice in the hands of a angelic devil or a devilish angel, and he hated himself for it, but he really did not have a choice, since Jaz was going to take her to the Girl's Only section of the dome.
Jaz frowned. "Wait a moment, did you integrate the second skin?"
He nodded. "Yes, Jaz. It hits water, it will solidify and keep her legs from getting wet where they've been bandaged." His voice was resigned to an extreme, and extremely patient.

Alice struggled to comprehend what Jaz was saying, something about a shower. Her words ran together and the only one who brought any clarity to the situation was Jace.
Jace's face turned pale. "Oh no. Alice, I'm afraid she's hyper now. If she offers to do a makeover, refuse. She isn't the best person to be around right now. But yeah, do whatever you want to do, Jaz will show you where you have to go."
"a shower would be great." she murmured and followed Jaz as quickly as she could.

She was browsing through the clothing in the Girl's Only section, picking out underclothes and then looking at outfits that would look good on Alice. She picked out all sorts of fun, fashionable and also useful tops and jackets, looking at them and at Alice with what Jace would call a half-crazed, demonically possessed look. "Do you want lavender soap? 'Cause otherwise there's roses and some other stuff. I like the lavender soap."
She didn't wait for an answer but searched for some pretty dresses, and belts, and comfortable shoes, and um, accessories! Even though she wasn't a girly girl, she loved dressing people up. Hang on... she meant dressing other girls up. And Alice was pretty to begin with. But she was also super, super thin. Jaz looked around, pushing things she didn't like out of the way as fast as she could, trying to find clothes that would make Alice look pretty. She was very, very, very hyper. It was a fact.

She could only hear half of the words that they were saying and but when she saw Xel throw up she knew it was because of the rain. He had been worried about it earlier. For some reason it didn't really affect her. It just made her feel a little weak, which in her condition might not actually be so good. But there was nobody to give her pain and discomfort to, what could she do? Walking up to Xel she tried to hide how she was feeling and said,
"Is there a place I could sleep, maybe take a shower and change?"
She really just wanted some time alone, even just a few moments. All these people seemed to be filing in the clinic and she was growing with discomfort by the minute. Her skin had paled slightly more and she could feel erself growing more and more with discomfort and weariness. She needed to go to sleep at least.

"I.. I . Umm soap? Soap.. Any soap is good." she struggled to wrap her head around any type of luxuries.
Jaz ran around like a mad woman. She stood like an idiot with her mouth agape. Her frail body shook with laughter, Jaz's way of moving was hilarious she was so quick and move like a hurricane. Clothes and shoes were going everywhere.
"Jace.. Help me!" she mocked.
Alice looked for the shower around the corner maybe she could escape before Jaz got a hold of her.
"I'm going to shower" she spoke quietly now, more sober.
She grabbed the soap Jaz had left and hobbled to a room which she presumed the shower in.
Alice stripped off her dirt hardened clothes and blood stained undergarments. A small mirror hung in the room, she hadn't seen herself in a proper mirror for a long time. Alice had only gotten glances of herself in small reflective items and she was curious what she looked like. She stepped cautiously in from of the mirror.
The frailness of her frame scared her, she hadn't realized how skinny she'd gotten. Her body was stained with all sorts of mud and blood. Her hair was riddled with all sorts of interesting objects mostly sticks and mud. She couldn't stand to look at how deteriorated her body had gotten and how sickly she was looking.
Jumping in the shower she turned the taps quickly allowing the glorious warm water to run down her body she let her worries flow down the drain with the muddied water.

She heard a knock on the door to the Section and opened it a crack. It was Jace. He saw that her arms were full of clothes and backed away a little bit.
Jaz grinned. "What?"
"I was just going to tell you that you better make sure it's functional, not decorative, and to give her boots that are a few sizes too big." He glared at the outfits that he could see. "Those better not be what you're planning on."
Jaz grinned more wdely and nodded, just to annoy him. "They are."
"Jaz... I will come in and burn all of the clothes that are just decorative if you don't listen." Jace was positively breathing fire.
"But we're not going out." She whined.
"We might have to." Jace said tersely. She made, or attempted to make, a rude gesture with her hand. Jace just smiled slightly.

Alex nodded but didn't want to talk to anybody right at the moment. She went down the hall instead and just into one of the rooms. Her shoes tracked in the rain and she felt herself get dizzy. She tried to get over to the bed but the whole place seemed to be spinning. She couldn't hear much and she needed to give this to somebody. Slowly sinking the the ground she managed to get over to the bed just to lean on it. Maybe she could just rest her eyes right here. She almost shut her eyes but then snapped herself awake. She couldn't fall asleep. What if she didn't wake up for a while? Looking out the window she thought she saw somebody. She managed to stand back up and open the window. Slipping back out into the rain she approached an alley walking sideways slightly. She got there to find somebody hiding from the rain under one of the buildings. She got there, panting from the effort and fell right beside him. He jumped up alarmed but she grabbed his ankle and let the pain seep out of her and into him. He didn't make a sound as he collapsed. Standing back up the color had returned to her arms and probably her face. She ran back to the window she had left from so people wouldn't notice she had left. Jumping back in she hurried back into the bathroom and pretty much tore her clothes off. She turned it on hot and went in, feeling the refreshing feel of all the grime being washed off.

Out of the corner of we eye Alice spotted some fluffy towels she nearly squealed with delight and basically ran out of the shower after she was done. The towels smothered any anxiety she had and Alice relished the soft touch on her skin. She wrapped it around her body and opened the door and popped her head out.
"ahh Jaz, what am I wearing?" she peered at the pile in the corner. She hoped to god Jaz didn't make her wear any of that.

In either case, Skyright knew he would probably be able to help. He hoped it wouldn't come to a fight, but if it did.....
His hand was already reaching for the collapsible staff holstered on his leg. He didn't like weapons much, but at least unlike a gun or sword, a staff could stop someone without killing them.
He hoped he wouldn't need it though. Hurting people, even bad people, wasn't something Skyright enjoyed. His hands were meant to save lives, and change lives, but never to take them.
Silently, he signaled to the woman handing out supplies, showing her the people outside. At least now, no matter what happened, they would be ready.

With a tray full of food, vitamins and other medications and several towels thrown over her shoulders, Erica stepped into the lobby of the clinic. She panned her head about as she did a quick head count; they were missing one of their guests. The brunette girl who accompanied Xel was nowhere to be found, but Erica put the girl to the back of her priorities. Some of the other patients weren't looking so well, especially Xel.
Erica cleared her throat to gain everybody's attention and announced, "Hello everybody. My name is Erica and I'll be attending to you this...evening. I brought some towels for everyone, it will help get the rain out. I also brought some food and vitamins for anyone who is feeling sick from the weather. Hopefully everything will clear up soon. As usual you all are free to spend the night here and we can even offer you some basic toiletries. Also, any one in need of other medical attention can bring it up to me or Armenius once he gets back."
Attending to each patient, Erica gave each a towel and those who were hungry or looked most affected by the rain she gave some food. When Erica came upon Xel, he was lolling his head over the back of the wheel chair in pain. Sweat mixed with the black rainwater on his brow, he looked like he had thrown up recently given the symptoms. Erica placed a caring hand on Xel's shoulder and offered the pineapple juice and vitamin C tablets; "Here babe, take these. It will help your stomach." She also noticed at this point that Xel was fiddling with three small, spherical objects in his left hand, but she had no idea what they were.
Erica felt a tug on her coat, she wheeled around to see who needed attention. The grey-haired man with grey eyes gestured outside with his head. Erica cautiously glanced up outside through the now dying rain. Several human figures were waiting outside, across the street in the rain and a bolt of fear shot through Erica as she remembered what had happened just earlier that day with the Raven. But she knew the Raven were all dead or had run off, so either this was another gang, or something else entirely. Erica buried her hand into her left coat pocket and felt the metallic grip of the pistol she had stowed there and again wished that Armenius wasn't taking his sweet time in getting back. Then Erica heard rushed footsteps from down the hallway leading to the wards. Erica's hand tightened around the pistol grip as she stood silently listening to the footsteps, a door opened, then closed and another then opened. Erica cautiously turned back to find out what all the commotion was about. When she came upon the bathroom, the door was cracked open slightly and the brunette girl who had just moments ago disappeared was busy ripping her clothes off.
"Hey!" Erica yelled as she quickly forced the door open. What was this girl thinking? She thought as she let the pistol fall from her grip back into her pocket.
Armenius
The green eyed girl had run off without a word. She just disappeared into the inky blackness of the shadows of the building and Armenius decided it was not worth his time nor was it a tolerable danger to go after her. Instead he had decided to return to the clinic; he had been gone for at least an hour anyway. Now he followed the road back to the clinic as the storm began to lift revealing blue-grey splotches of the night sky above. Armenius looked south through the gaps betwixt the towering ruins off into the dark distance through the dying rain. For the past five weeks or so Armenius had seen smoke rising from down south in tall dark grey columns. Due to the coloration and consistent locale, Armenius concluded that it wasn't the campfires of travelers or even the fire pits of buildings but rather something else entirely. His first guess was industry, that somebody had managed to restore a degree of electrical power, at least enough to power factories which meant that residential and infrastructural power would also be restored. Combine this with the crazy tales and rumors Armenius heard from many non-local patients about a powerful demagogue and his or her soldiers and war machines and this was enough to convince Armenius that the south was worth investigating. Whether or not Sanctum Prime would welcome these newcomers (if they existed at all), they would ultimately encounter them and Armenius always felt that sizing up the foreign party was always crucial for negotiations.
Armenius stopped and moved to the street side as he neared the clinic, noticing several figures arrayed against the wall on the south side of the street. They were obviously armed as they seemed to take notice of Armenius as well and raised their weapons--firearms from the looks of it--to ready stance. Armenius readied his weapon but kept the barrel pointed down and to the left to indicate that he wasn't looking for a fight. With great caution, and while consistently checking his surroundings, Armenius slowly approached the four figures and was amazed to see what he saw when he closed to clear visual range. The four figures were dressed in matching, urban battle dress uniforms and chem gear. Each carried an REC7 assault rifle and from the looks of it, they all had plenty of ammunition. One of the riflemen even had an M320 auxiliary grenade launcher slung under the barrel of the weapon and every one of them carried a pistol although what make or model, Armenius couldn't tell while they were holstered. On the right shoulder of each rifleman was a black and grey arm band punctuated by a white outlined iron cross enveloped by a black trefoil. One of the figures with sergeant chevrons on his collar approached Armenius.
"Sling your weapon, citizen." The soldier ordered in a gruff male voice muffled somewhat by his gas mask. Armenius did so cautiously in a smooth, slow motion. No need to get this heavily armed band jumpy. From what Armenius was beginning to gather, these guys were so far beyond an ordinary gang.
"I haven't seen you around these parts. I'm guessing you've come from outside Sanctum Prime." Armenius replied as he examined the other soldiers.
What the soldier said next both stung and alerted Armenius as to the danger he may be in. "Yes citizen, we do not roll in the filth as the rest of you do. We are a force-reconnaissance element of the 1st company, 4th battalion of the 1st Imperial Guard division. And we have come to scout this land in preparation for Her arrival." The sergeant responded. Based on the level of self-induced superiority this soldier displayed and the pompous reference to his commander in chief, Armenius grew mightily concerned for the well being of Sanctum Prime.

He quickly popped out of the doorway, off to do whatever he did. Jaz smiled a little bit. That was her brother-mostly considerate and unselfish.
She walked over to the bathroom, where Alice was standing in one of the giant fluffy towels that Jaz had begged for. In Jaz's arms was a giant stack of clothing that she had gotten that fit Jace's requirements. Jace's annoying requirements. "Alice, because we might be going out today, Jace said to give you functional clothing, so I picked out a ton of clothes that match what His Royal Fussiness wants. Just pick out ones that look good to you, unless you want expert advice so you can look good to others, 'cause I can definitely do that."
She doubted that Alice would consent to being dressed up, but hey, she could hope whatever she wanted to hope. Jaz wondered what exactly her brother had in mind, knowing that they didn't have anywhere they needed to be, but were, in fact, able to do anything. Jace and his surprises. She couldn't decide which one was more annoying.

Suddenly, Skyright cried out faintly, shuddering, and collapsing onto the floor as if in a seizure. He eyes sprang open as he hit the ground, and a small stream of blood poured out of his ears and nose.
"Ah... Ah...." He gasped for breath. The strain from the concentration had finally caught up with him, but he had managed fully heal Xel, and had enhanced his abilities far beyond what might even seem possible. Using his abilities also for influence, he had also shifted the Flow as much as he could towards good. Hopefully, unless the people outside were some kind of "duty bandits" or something, the shift in the Flow would be enough to stop them from attacking.
It was rare for Skyright to exert his power this much. The strain had probably lowered his lifespan again. He could only hope it was worth it.
"Lets go...." He muttered to Xel, "Just.... don't kill them. I'll back... you up...."
Lifting himself to his feet, Skyright turned to Caddie, smiling as if nothing was wrong.
"We'll be back soon" He said, as he readied his staff, "Stay safe while we're gone, ok?"
Then, he turned back to Xel,
"Are you ready?"

When my character, Armenius, was fighting the Raven 'leader', I meant just the leader of the group of Ravens he was leading at the time, not the leader of the gang itself. If I stepped on anyone's toes there, just let me know. I'll make such things more lucid in the future.
