By the time she was twelve, Nurys had already begun to develop the curves her mother had once been coveted for and that is one of the few things Nurys actually gives her mother credit for. She is a rather curvy young woman and while Nurys has spent her entire life with at least a few thinner girls around her, she totes all of that junk in her trunk like her most prized accessory. She has a rather pretty face with her deep brown complexion, the green eyes she inherited from her father a compliment to her looks that she doesn't want to give him thanks for. Of course, with the way she contours her face for certain events, Nurys tries looking older, but even fresh-faced and dressing down, she knows she's stunning. Nurys is known for consistently wearing extensions and wigs - protective hairstyles - of varying colors, textures, and lengths which is why not many can say they know what her real hair looks like. Currently, her hair looks like this.

✧Sα΄›ΚΚŸα΄‡βœ§
A lot of Nurys' style is influenced by the streets she grew up on, which means that she's more often than not toting something rather urban and reminiscent to a lot of that bad girl chic that's become super popular on Instagram now. She does tend to add a splash of athleisure in that she's not afraid to wear tracksuits and make them look cute, but at the end of the day, Nurys is always going to be seen, even when she's dressed down. She just has to be, especially if she can incorporate one of her own self-made textured blazers to Constance's boring uniform.

i. It would be a fool to underestimate how intimidatingly smart Nurys truly is or how stealthy. For as much as one could speculate that her graduating this year instead of last year as she should have is indicative of her level of intelligence, Nurys possesses the sharp mind of a take-no-nonsense hustler who's main priority is that of herself and anyone she deeply cares about. As the saying goes, Nurys was thrown to wolves and there's no denying that with her indomitable nature, at some point, she became the leader of the pack. She's vicious and cutthroat when she feels that she needs to be, especially when in pursuit of her goals or taking care of what is hers, and doesn't feel an ounce of guilt for playing dirty in order to achieve what she believes is her destiny. Nurys is not one to fear the dark side; she's already seen and experienced it. And reading her at all? Impossible with that poker face.

ii. No one can deny talent. No one can deny attractiveness. It would be pathetic to do so because it speaks to a deep, underlying insecurity that one might not want to have someone call them on. With that being said, there is no denying either when it comes to Nurys. She would not have lured a good number of clients that once belonged to one of Michelle's employees into her own chair at the shop if she did not have the ability to weave magic into tresses that are either theirs or not theirs. She would not have gained the followers that she has on social media or the confidence from one of Michelle's celebrity clients who have heard her sing if there wasn't something in her that bespeaks future success. With that being said, while it is beneficial for Nurys to surround herself in an impenetrable tower of self-confidence, the foundation is built upon an arrogance that was constructed at a tender age when she realized how powerful she could be. When people continually validated the sway - the siren call - of her vocal chords. Nurys doesn't see it as much to fret over nor does she seem to be affected by the negative attention her ego receives. To her, the limelight at school isn't what belongs to her. The one on center stage in a sold-out arena does and she knows it, so everyone else should as well. And if they don't, they will.

iii. Just as people would say that there's always a party of some sort when wild, sexy Nurys comes into the picture, they also complain - and joking though their tones may be, there is truth in jesting - that you can't take her anywhere. Nurys follow with the explanation that she's too "hood for these bougie heuxes," and to some extent, she's correct. Nurys does not always filter herself, she's bold in pretty much everything she does, and if there's a loud and crazy crowd ready to fuck shit up, nine times out of ten that crowd will include Nurys. She's fun-loving and while select in those she actually develops close relationships, Nurys is sociable when it comes to big crowds, able to weave her way through different peoples because of this untouchable, magnetic shine to her demeanor. There's still the part where Nurys has a thing against authority figures and testing people with how purposefully petty and abrasive she can be, but she doesn't like talking about it, not deeply, of course.

iv. While everything that the light touches in the halls of Constance Billard belong irrevocably to Clara Chase, there are echoes of Nurys' own influence in the dark corners that she relishes. Nurys' own brand of self-assured swagger and easy smiles, while combined with traits others would call less than stellar, are paramount in her being able to get what she wants from whoever she wants it from. For Nurys, she calls it simply her tending to have that effect on people, this ability to inspire lust and obedience from others because of coquettish smiles, bold gestures, and silky sonnets with much more sensuous undertones. Others will note that they're just weapons in using people, which Nurys has no shame in. If a particular relationship benefits her end goal, then so be it, Nurys just has to lay on the charm. And being the type of girl who doesn't take no for an answer, she's more than likely going to get what she wants, even if she has to use somebody else or make plans to play dirty.

v. At the end of the day, no matter what anyone who doesn't like her has to say, there has to be some thick skin on this girl for her to remain as driven and not crushed by the weight of her last eighteen years as she is. There has to be some steel beneath the silk of the skin she cares for daily for the easy laughs, chill and unbothered vibes, and the fearless way in which she gives herself to those Nurys actually gets into a relationship with. For all that that sleek seduction and lazy flirtationships she gets involved in, the one thing no one can say is that Nurys doesn't know what loyalty and faithfulness is. It's what she requires from others and she might serve herself at the end of the day, but if she's given herself to another individual, then serving herself means keeping them happy, and loyalty is happiness. Nevertheless, there has to be some kind of inner strength within her that allows her to still want what she wants, work for it, and still find the time to enjoy the simple things like the video games she plays or the times she spends with Michelle's granddaughter. You don't go through what Nurys has without some form of resilience and just like her voice and eye for fashion, that's just another thing Nurys has acquired from her mother, begrudgingly.

ImageImage✦LΙͺᴋᴇs✦
Above all things, Nurys' number one passion in the world is singing. As much as it comes with bad memories, it's been an outlet she can't let go of and a talent she can't help but see herself succeed with. Fashion comes as a close second. Nurys wants all that her mother couldn't fully gain: taking center stage, the fame, money, influence and overall security. It's probably a good thing that Nurys has a pretty quick metabolism because she has a deep love for junk food, but particular flaming hot cheetos, burrito bowls from chipotle mexican grill, and brownies. As much as it might clash with her "real thug shit," Nurys never fails to enjoy herself when spending time with Katiana, the toddler in her terrible twos who demands Nurys' attention when she's home. No matter how hard Nurys might be, or how distracted she might be by her own pursuits, at the end of the day, she does appreciate those who are either loved ones or family, especially her little brother. She's stilll likes having a good time and doing things her way, which entails hard liquor and partying. But never let it be said that she's not a bit of a dork with her love for anything Marvel, particularly Deadpool, and video games.

✧DΙͺsʟΙͺᴋᴇs✧
If there are two things that are sure to piss Nurys off if you continually do them, they would be to either ask questions about her mother, in which case she might nonchalantly mention that the woman is dead, or be compared to her mother, which will be met the first time with an eye roll. She can't be held responsible for what happens the third time. Nurys likes people to recognize that yes, because of genetics she's going to look like her mother, and because of those same genetics her vocals remind people of her. But she is not her mother; she's not weak and needs to partake in the abuse of substances other than alcohol like that woman did. Not only could they damage her vocal chords, but Nurys has seen what addiction looks like and she's going nowhere near it. She also has a deep, abiding hatred for crying where, no, she won't catch a fit for doing it, but it's not her thing. She hates being emotional. It's exhausting. She also dislikes her father and has issues with abandonment that she won't discuss unless with the right person. And she definitely hates people thinking that her promiscuity means she can't be in a relationship because, yes, she does like sex. But Nurys is nothing but loyal and though she serves herself, serving herself also includes keeping her people happy and faithfulness is happiness in any relationship. She's selfish, but she's not that selfish.

Image✦Tα΄€ΚŸα΄‡Ι΄α΄›s✦
i. singing - During the nineties, her mother had pipes for days and while Nurys has noted that she doesn't have the full belting power that her mother possessed, there's a reason why people have likened her vocals to that of a siren. She possesses a raw talent when it comes to performing and putting on a show, and she didn't need any classical training or mommy and daddy's money in order to acquire it. It just is and what also needs to be is her getting fame and success from it. She was given the gift for a reason. She's also rather talented at songwriting and writing in general, the latter of which exasperates professors because for as much as she drives them crazy, she obviously holds a lot of academic promise for someone who has been in her situation.

ii. needle-and-thread - To be honest, it started off as a skill set acquired for the sake of survival and not looking a mess. Until Nurys realized that she was pretty good with a sewing machine, while also handling a regular needle and thread. Give her some fabric and let her look at something she sketched, and Nurys is able to create original pieces for various shapes and sizes. At this point, she figures that she can't just get into the industry with singing and being sexy; she has to be an entire brand with more than the two aforementioned. Which is why she started her own small line, which can be seen and followed via Instagram.

iii. deceit - There's a reason why a very few and select group of individuals in this world can tell when Nurys is lying, and why theft is one of the things one can't see on her record. She learned young in order to hide her emotions and has been noted for having blank expressions even when she's inwardly seething. It's not good, but Nurys figures that a lot of things in this world aren't good and people learn to deal with them.

iv. combat - This is nothing big, no extensive training other than what one would earn from living out past curfew and having less than savory friends who wound up getting you involved once they pissed someone off. Nurys' skill here is mainly street-fighting. She doesn't believe in the weak foolishness of just sending haphazard slaps and pulling hair; she has a rather impressive guard and a mean right hook, and has won a good number of fights in her day. Michelle thinks she can put it to good use and get some lessons, but Nurys has also told her to bite her and goes a few rounds with the punching bag in Michelle's son's old room.

✧FΚŸα΄€α΄‘s✧
i. ego - Well, what more is there to say? She is what she is and Nurys makes no excuses, so she doesn't necessarily believe there is any reason to be insecure when you're her. It's safe to say there's probably not much humility here, though she can fake it when she wants to impress people. But when people constantly adore your voice and say how they really can feel everything you've been through with it, combined with the fact that you already know that you're gorgeous, arrogance is born. So much so that Nurys believes whole-heartedly that she's meant to be an admired talent and deserves it; deserves the praise, applause, fans and everything she doesn't have now. She just does and yeah, it's annoying to some, but those who know and love her know that they'll reap the benefit of it all too, so there's no need to complain.

ii. collateral damage - Nurys can be a good schemer. Better than good, even. Excellent, in fact. Because she's developed such a good poker face herself, she's astute at reading the people around her to best get her revenge (or someone else's revenge) or simply plot against them if it gets her to where she needs to. With that being said, she doesn't always anticipates who gets hurt when she makes her plans or moves, resulting in someone she thinks of herself as friendly with or even a loved one being upset with her. Sometimes, they're being upset makes no difference; for those who really love her, they eventually can't hate her forever because she's lovable and in her mind, they get over it. She doesn't take into account that they might still hurt from her actions.

iii. abandonment issues - She doesn't call them issues. Nurys says that the people who want to be in your life will make an effort in order to be in your lives and it should be as simple as that. However, she does have abandonment issues, which is why - despite how tough she is - she has at least once stayed in an abusive relationship, just because she secretly does not like the idea of someone not wanting her. Of people who are supposed to love her and say that they do leaving her behind. It's happened enough times, which is why when Nurys actually gets into relationships or becomes involved with someone to the point of them even being best friends, she gives her all to the cause. No half-assing nothing. It's also why she wasn't about admitting that her brother needed more than just her to deal with his bipolar depression; she still doesn't want to acknowledge that his past issues had anything to do with that and instead wants to believe that they happened because she wasn't there to watch out for him.

β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬β–¬

Image✦Christina Johnson || Biological Mother || 29 {when she died} || Deceased✦
This is probably the most complicated relationship Nurys has and it sucks because one half of what would make it is dead. Nurys will call her mother selfish and pathetic in her head, while just telling everyone else that she's dead. She'll even admit her mom had an overdose. And she hates her for it - for leaving her to fend for herself in a world Christina knew was cold because she couldn't stay in it. However, as much as she resents her and gets aggravated at being compared to the older woman, can't no one talk shit about her mother except Nurys.

✧Aleixo Bonifacio || Biological Father || 43 || Undisclosed Location✧
At least Nurys acknowledges that her mother existed, feels a range of emotions for her. Her father has only warranted nothing but apathy. He was too selfish to let her and her brother go with Michelle when they could have, and then abandoned them when it felt like too much responsibility, particularly because at least one of the kids wasn't his. To this day, Nurys has no idea where he is and doesn't care to know. He'd only be coming for the sake of the money they could make off of her anyway.

✦ Michelle DuBois || Godmother & Legal Guardian || 41 || Founder and Head Stylist of DuBois Couture Hair✦
This is the only other complicated relationship Nurys has outside of the ones with her brother and mother. Her father's is rather simple; she has no love for him in her heart anymore. With Michelle, it's different. On the one hand, Nurys appreciates her. When Nurys ran away for a year with Ivan, they came to find Michelle and Michelle took them in with tears of relief in her eyes and love in her heart. She gave them their own bedrooms, which was a luxury neither had ever known. She clothed them, fed them, and when the law came after them for having run away, she fought to keep them and got them into a rather impressive institution,if Constance's legacy is anything to go by. And she supports Nurys' desire to get into the industry and has even let her meet a few of her high-end clients who can help her out in the long run. At the same time, Nurys remembers being taken from Michelle's care and Michelle having done literally nothing, at least in Nurys' mind, to get them back. There's also her issue with authority in general to consider, but she does care about the older woman. Even if she's become the main contributor to Michelle's development of gray hair and frayed nerves.

✧Jada DuBois || Godsister || 20 || Part-time stylist at DuBois Couture Hair & Cosmetology Student✧
Because Nurys never got to meet Michelle's son, who also happens to be Katiana's father, the only DuBois child she knows is Jada and the two of them have gotten pretty damn close in the three years that Nurys has been in New York. Jada is the only one allowed to do Nurys' hair outside of Nurys herself.

✦ Ivan Johnson || Half-Brother || 16 || St. Jude's Student✦
This is probably the second most complicated relationship she has simply because of dependency Ivan and Nurys have when on one another. He needs her strength and, even though she won't ever say it, she needs his need of her. Needs to have someone to protect so that when she does her more nefarious doings,
no one can say without a doubt that it was inherently selfish because she's doing it for their survival. No one has looked out for the two of them better than she has and perhaps she should learn that she doesn't always have to do everything in her power to keep him safe when they finally have an adult in their lives, but that protectiveness and possessiveness has been too deeply ingrained into her core for it to just go away.

✧Katiana DuBois || Play-Cousin || 2 || Currently ruling the loft ✧
Nurys can stare directly at Katiana as she cries without an expression on her face or shrug when someone asks where the toddler escaped to in the rather spacious loft, but at the end of the day, Katiana will be held eventually or at least be made to stop crying, and her location will always be known. This is probably one of the purest loves Nurys knows and she can deny it all she wants in the toddler's face, but Nurys feels nothing but adoration for Kat.

15 Washington Street Brooklyn, NY : Former Humphrey Residence
Seven years ago, upon the commercial success of DuBois Couture Hair - along with aid from wealthier friends and clientele - Michelle DuBois purchased the loft along with the building it occupied in order to renovate and create what is now her home base in New York for both her wig and extension store, along with the salon that occupies the full first floor of the ten story. On the second floor, in accompaniment with the various wig and extensions she sells, Michelle's own hair care products which are cruelty, sulfate and paraben free, are sold. The second floor also holds the waiting room for clients who are awaiting their appointments or to be fitted into the schedule. The third floor up to the ninth floor are apartments she is able to rent out and earn income from, a collection of studio, two-family and three-family units. The tenth floor consists of the spacious three-bedroom residence complete with two full baths, a large kitchen to satisfy any home chef, and views of Manhattan from large floor to ceiling windows, and a fire escape balcony. It also comes with a rooftop terrace that Michelle keeps maintained for the pleasure of her family and tenants, complete with an assortment of lawn chairs, fake grass, a small garden, small tables with umbrellas, sofas, and strung-up lights.

If things had been left up to Christina Johnson, both of her children would have the same father, they would have been set for life, and they both would have always been safe because she would have always been there for them. That is not what happened. Instead, Christina was an up-and-coming half of an R&B duo with her childhood friend, Michelle, and they both had been just young girls just trying to follow their dreams in the nineties. After performing at an event their agent got them booked for to headline for another more successful group of artists, Christina met Aleixo, and according to her, it was love at first sight. He was a Portuguese photography student who came to America under the belief that anyone could pull themselves up by their boot straps and Christina was charmed. He wasn't in the industry. However, she was and to Nurys, it always felt like her dad was attracted to the idea of big bucks more than he was to building a life with her mother.

Nevertheless, Christina became pregnant around the same time she and Michelle's careers were ready to pop off. They had been signed with Awful Records and recorded their first full album with the help of some Atlanta-based rappers and producers, even managing to snag one from New York for their first music video. They worked exceptionally hard to make it as successful as it had been at the time and there had been quick money in the beginning. With Christina's blues inspired vocals and the mad bars Michelle had for the era, they were bound to be a big hit. Nurys' birth only seemed like an addition to everything for Christina. Sure, she might have had to send her to Michelle's mother some nights, like Michelle did with her son, so that they could go to late night gigs and schmooze with the best of them, but she wasn't a bad mom. However, what ended up happening - because of them being one of the first successful acts for Awful Records and such was the case for plenty of artists who put out bangers - was that once their tracks stopped being considered so mainstream, the demand for something newer and better couldn't be met, not when Christina's partying lifestyle consisted of hard drugs and alcohol that she and her boyfriend had both gotten into it.

By the time Nurys was two, her parents fought over anything and nothing. A lot of the times, she was being cared for by Michelle, the only one who remained optimistic during that time. They went back and forth, though, between staying at a motel Christina knew the manager at, and with Michelle's mother because of how frustrated the older woman would get with having so many mouths to feed and so little income. Soon enough, Aleixo left without warning and in retaliation, Christina slept with a man whose name she swore she forgot the night before. Nurys never believed her, not from the face she made whenever Nurys or Aleixo asked, but then Aleixo returned. He promised that he wouldn't hold it against her mother for what happened, even after she wound up pregnant, but Christina had to promise to not use anymore. In turn, he'd get a better job, stop drinking, and they could all be a family again. That lasted all of two years and before they knew it, Christina's addiction reared its ugly head when she was hit with postpartum depression, Aleixo had started drinking by the time Ivan turned one, and Nurys grew up just a little faster than she should have had to for her little brother's sake.

ImageIt wasn't all bad. When her mother was sober, Christina sang for them in the dingy motel room they kept cleaner than the maids ever did, oftentimes coaching Nurys' voice. It was her demand that Nurys promise that she never forgets how much of a star she is, no matter how many people or how much life wanted to dim her light. She needed to fight and she needed to be better than Christina ever was. Christina would take odd jobs such as cleaning people's houses, singing in bars when she could, and even waitressing on her best days. Those were her most coherent moments. They're also some of Nurys' favorite memories. Most days and nights, though, Nurys would either use whatever money Christina didn't splurge on her addiction to get on the bus to get food from Michelle's mother's house, or from somewhere near. It would be Nurys soothing Ivan's nightmares with old songs she heard her mother singing, who kissed his boo-boo's, and distracted him when Christina looked too strung out to be recognizable. And in all honesty, when she was eight and Ivan six, Nurys wasn't at all surprised to walk into their motel room, holding Ivan's little hand, and seeing their mother dead on the bed. What she was surprised by was her Dad returning once more, after everything was said and done, claiming that he would care for them. Nurys never knew hatred until that moment.

Despite Michelle wanting to take him to court to contest his claim, at the end of the day, at least Aleixo had a job. At least, Aleixo didn't have too much of a record whereas Michelle had been to jail for five years before Christina had ever met him. At least, Aleixo's mother - and Nurys still never knew much about her father's family other than the little tidbits of Portuguese he taught her - wasn't the one who claimed his child, whereas that was Michelle's case right there. Plus, his name was on both of the birth certificates. So, he moved the kids to his one-bedroom apartment in Athens and told himself (and them) that things would be alright. However, there was a huge difference between caring for yourself and caring for yourself and two kids, and with no aid in dealing with his own demons, Aleixo was dropping the kids off six months later with the state. Nurys doesn't remember what she said to him past all of Ivan's crying, but she did recall the tears in her father's eyes. She hopes that she told him she hated him and wished he was the one she had to see die.

By the time Nurys turned thirteen, she had been through four foster homes and surprisingly enough, only two of them were bad. As much as people hate hearing it, at the end of the day, a lot of the individuals who adopted children or claimed to want to provide them a better home, didn't actually want the kid. They just wanted the paycheck that came with the kid, which could be all types of great if you spread it right and didn't waste it. She had only one semi-loving home and there was only so much love one could garner from her when you're ready to give her away when you finally get to have the child you once thought your body was not able to produce. With that being said, a lot of Nurys' rearing and growth came from the streets and the people she met there. The "ghetto" never failed to lure her in; if Nurys didn't already live there, best believe she found her way and that was where she was most comfortable, to say the least. She became a hassle for at least one of her families, but at some point, Nurys stopped caring. She learned lessons in relationships a young girl like her never should have gotten into, particularly an abusive one that landed her in the hospital once. She learned the tricks of the streets, learned how immediately little black girls like her started being sexualized and how she could use it to her advantage, how to fight, how to steal, and how to hustle to get what she wanted. It wasn't the best thing in the world, teachers worried when she happened to come to school, but she made a promise to her baby brother when they were separated. She would always find a way to find him and they would be together again. And Nurys is nothing if not a woman of her word.

Nurys was just about to turn sixteen when she took the money she had hidden from her then foster mother - she had honestly a good hundred or two from her, but Nurys didn't bother feeling bad since the woman told the kids point-blank that she only wanted them for the money as long as the kids looked like they were clothed and fed, so it was only Nurys getting her due - and ran away. She had gotten out of her case manager on accident that Ivan's last known location was in Washington D.C, Michelle's old neighbors said she had moved up to New York along with showing her Michelle's success via social media, and knew what she had to do. Ivan was at school when Nurys found him and didn't hesitate to come with her in the stolen vehicle they ditched the second they got to a bus station. To this day, other than a few shared tidbits that randomly occurred, the siblings never discuss what actually happened in their individual foster homes. They do acknowledge their shared insomnia on the nights that they are plagued by them. It took them about a week to find Michelle and it was probably the first time in the long time Nurys felt such an abundance of unconditional love.

Michelle had not been able to find them. She wasn't allowed to know their locations to check on them and nothing that she sent to Aleixo was ever returned. Nurys figured that he died in a ditch somewhere. The older woman wasn't too happy to know that Nurys had missed an entire year of school in trying to get to Ivan and then to her, but once she had her, Michelle made plans. It was a vicious battle with the state, especially since Ivan was technically kidnapped, but with the strings Michelle's friends in high places were able to pull for her, she was allowed to keep both with the condition that they both finish school and she had to contend with monthly check-ups on their well-being. Michelle feared their imminent rejection into St. Jude's and Constance, though Ivan was the one who was immediately accepted on a full scholarship. That was how good his test scores were, though he had to take summer school for that first year. Nurys, on the other hand, would have to do summer school every year because the schools she attended hadn't really kept her in line with the current curriculum, not to mention the fact that Nurys skipped frequently. Of course, Constance and St. Jude's were skeptical about their admittance due to the kids' backgrounds, but again, Michelle may not have the billions upon billions that other families do, but what she had was a long clientele list and a good reputation in New York, along with a rather impressive middle class income with splurges. Nurys likes to factor in that she slept with the headmistress' son once she found out who he was, but eventually, they were both accepted with only small stipulations.

But Nurys' goal is still music and keeping her promise to her mother. She may not talk well of the woman nor mention that promise, but it remains as her number one future goal. Michelle might push for to care more for her education and Nurys humors her by not skipping frequently, and not painting the halls as black as her soul, but Nurys knows what she wants. And she figures New is the best place to get it, or at least get the jump start she needs. She just thinks having a little fun along the way, much to the chagrin of both Michelle or the faculty of Constance.

CS (with slight modications): The Toxic Cereus || Roleplayer: Girl2Fine2 || Misc. Nurys knows enough Portuguese to say terms of endearments, but it's obvious that she's gotten used to and grasps Spanish just a touch better, despite their similarities.

So begins...

7:05 am. It is the morning of the first day back to school for both the Constance Billard girls and the St. Jude's boys. By now, many of them should be up and planning how they're going to take on the day. The extra eager students will be on their way to the school to help set up for the welcome back assembly which will take place at 8:30 am. However for one student, they don't care about rushing into school to help nor precisely planning the perfect back to school outfit - instead, they are sat behind a computer screen typing furiously. Finally happy, they quickly press post and throw on some clothes in the hopes they won't be late to school, not that anyone would notice anyway...

'Good morning Upper East Side, I hope you've all had a good rest because this year is gonna filled with more drama and chaos than any other. I'll make sure of that.

The first day back to school means those first impressions are going to be crucial. No matter how long you may have been at the school, you better bring your a game or risk being shot right down the social ladder. Let's see if Queen Bee Clara Chase can keep her crown or if one of her minions will finally be able to claw their way to the top. Speaking of, what's a Queen without her King? Oh wait, she doesn't have one. Seems like no one can stand Queen Bee-atch long enough, not even to get in her pants. Well, unless playboy Dante Lawson can finally find his way into the heart of the one girl at school he hasn't, hm, gotten friendly with.

And what about the minions, seems like pretty Primrose Reynolds has found herself a man in new money - Tristan Dupond - I guess we'll have to wait to find out if he'll ever love her as much as she loves herself. Oh, and how could I forget the resident 'bad bitch' Nurys Johnson, even she's managed to snag herself a desperate cool girl wannabe in Moriah Goldman. Seems like Clara really is the only one sleeping on her own these days, can you believe it? The Queen being outdone by her servants and enemies. How the mighty have fallen.

All this gossip and more has gotten me so excited for the start of this term, and the prospect of spilling all your dirty little secrets is exactly what keeps me going. The bitch is back.

You know you love me,
xoxo gossip girl.'

"IT WAS ONE NIGHT! I'M SORRY I DIDN'T CALL YOU THIS ONE TIME!... HE SHOULDN'T HAVE TALKING SHIT ABOUT MY GRADES! SO I'M NOT SCHOLAR OF THE FUCKING YEAR!... Fine, whatever." Tristan angrily hung up his cellphone and then kicked the nearest wall. The onlookers on the street gave him an odd look, but he only gave them a glare. It didn't appease his anger, but it did help a bit. His mother and him got into another argument about how he didn't call her after storming out last night. It was the night before school started and his step-dad, Aaron, was telling him that this year his grades were going to be important. Tristan naturally got defensive about it since his grades were fine. He wasn't an all A student, but he made a fair number of A's and B's. The discussion escalated to a fight. It didn't turn physical, but Tristan wanted to wipe that unimpressed look off Aaron's face. He left the house, sleeping over at his Dad's apartment since he gave Tristan a key. Normally, he would've gone to Liam, Moon, or the Johnson's place, but he didn't feel like talking. He just wanted to sleep before going to the hell hole known as St. Jude's. Well, it wasn't complete hell since he met some of his best friends there, but it was bad enough that he would've skipped if it wouldn't piss off his mother more.

It didn't take long for him to get to school. He looked up at the building, secretly wishing it would explode in a blaze of fire. He didn't care about this place or this assembly the school was so excited for. He noticed the Queen Bitch and her coattails following behind her. The school was so stereotypical it was sickening. Luckily, she didn't notice him, but then again she didn't notice 'trash,' her affectionate nickname for Tristan, like him. He could feel the student's eyes on him as Tristan went to his locker. When he called out Clara for being who she is, everyone kept their distance, not wanting ton invoke her wrath. He understood, but that didn't mean it didn't suck. Luckily, he had the Johnson kids, Liam, and the love of his life to keep him from going to crazy. Primrose was the best thing he got out of his dumb school, but even with her on his arm, people still treated him like the plague. Not that, that was his reason for dating her. She was almost like a guardian angel in his life, keeping him grounded. Though he wouldn't admit, he missed her. Pulling out his phone, since the school couldn't take it away because school hadn't started, Tristan sent a message to Prim, as well as his other friends.

To: Angel of Music ❀ // Primrose
Good Morning, gorgeous. Have you made your way to school yet?

To: Wonder Twin #1 // Liam
Duuuuuuddeee... where you at?

To: Little Johnson // Ivan
Please save me from the hell that is this school ☠

To: Main Boo // Nury

"You're late," Nurys announced rather succinctly. She didn't even hesitate when snatching up one of the ceramic traveler mugs that her panting brother got from his summer job at Starbucks and took a sip through the sharp look he gave her. He always put her coffee - the Intenso Dark blend from Lavazza Roast Coffee, with only a splash of milk and a tablespoon of sugar - in the rose-striped Anna Sui mug Nurys had fallen in love with when she had come to antagonize him during one of his shifts.

"You." Pant. "Ain't." Pant. "Shit."

Nurys only rolled her eyes behind her oversized hippie sunglasses with a very blatant you're-an-idiot vibe coming from the shaking of her head. "Bet ya won't not let me set yo alarm in the morning now," she shot back and took another sip of her drink and began walking, the sound of the AlaΓ―a cut-out heels clicking along the asphalt. Honestly, Nurys felt as if she was owed a reward. She hadn't protested much when her alarm had gone off and even kicked on Ivan's door until he snapped for her to stop before going off to eat breakfast. She ate her food, made sure her bag was packed, and finished a mug of coffee before going about her day. She even put up with one of Michelle's speeches without so much as one vitriolic retort, even though it had been at the tip of her tongue. She deserved praise for that, actually, but of course she wasn't going to get it. The skirt wasn't too short, she didn't have anything on that said "fuck you," even though she considered it, and although the color would definitely make a nun or two side-eye her, Nurys was pretty sure her hair was a lot more tolerable than the one time she showed up with so many beads that each step was a cacophonous symphony.

Ivan, on the other hand, had promptly fallen back asleep once his sister's footsteps had retreated. His insomnia happened to be pretty bad last night and while Nurys probably could have offered something, he hated bothering her on the good nights. By the time it had occurred to him that Nurys' bedroom was too quiet, Ivan's real alarm had gone off as the final warning that they needed to be on the walking out the door. Which meant that he had to speed through a wash-up and teeth-brushing ritual and throw on the first set of uniform he could find. Luckily, his bag was packed, but he had only enough time to receive the disapproving look from Michelle, an amused giggle from Katiana who had watched him bounce around trying to get his feet into his shoes, and two traveler mugs of coffee. He couldn't even grab a muffin off of the counter.

"You still ain't shit." He told his sister when his breathing was more regulated and he had officially fallen in line with her, taking a few large drinks of his own coffee. His required more sugar and milk, but it was a welcome container of diabetes to him. He needed the extra pep in his step. Without warning, a bundle wrapped in layers of paper towel was dangled in his face by his sister's manicured hand. He glanced at her face to see a raised eyebrow above the left eye lens.

"You sure about that?" Nurys inquired, the corner of her mouth lifting in amusement as she playfully kept the warm bundle just out of her brother's reach. Finally, Ivan sighed, giving her a withering glare before conceding. "Fine, fine. You ain't ain't shit...which isn't even English, but whatever. Gimme," he said and Nurys grinned, releasing her gift. "I am the shit," she corrected. "Never forget that, baby boy." Ivan rolled his eyes as he unraveled his prize, revealing a bacon-and-cheesy-scrambled-egg-sandwich that she had put on toast with cream cheese and jelly. He only offered a "yeah, yeah, yeah" before digging in. Nurys tossed him a smug look and pulled out her phone to see who had messaged her and check who responded to the Gossip Girl blog. It never failed that one idiot would reply to it as if their being mad was going to change what was said, and then there would be an entire chain of that one person getting slammed. Nurys liked having a healthy laugh before she went and became the bane of half of her teachers' existence.

To: Tristan// Future Husband
Dont need 2 survive a bitch who aint a factor. tell dat out-of-the-box built body bitch 2 kiss ur ass. omw

"You a'ight?" So wrapped up in finishing what tasted like the most delicious breakfast sandwich ever to his taste buds since Ivan had been so hungry, Ivan had almost missed his sister's question. He had honestly believed her to be fully engrossed in her phone, perhaps texting Moriah now that they had gotten close to the school. But, regardless of her eyes being primarily on her phone and where they were headed - the two schools looming before them at least two blocks ahead - Ivan felt the probing of his sister's attention with a twitch of discomfort. "Yeah, I-I'm fine," he replied and it was then that Nurys actually looked at him. Ivan didn't like the skepticism and judgement he saw in her eyes, even behind her sunglasses. "Reese, I'm good, ok? I'm good. Bad night, we've both had 'em. Nothin' big." Her face was blank, but her skepticism was blatant and Ivan rolled his eyes, hands up in surrender. "Not doin' this right now, so I'm gonna go wait for Liam real quick. See you in a bit." It was only a beat later that Ivan followed up with, "And don't start nothin' before the bell rings," while texting Liam where he was going to be. It never failed that his friend wanted vanilla iced coffee and while the coffee at their place was always a touch too strong for Liam, the Starbucks across the street from their school always did just fine.

To: Liam
At the Starbucks waiting

"No promises," Nurys sing-songed, but let him walk across the street without argument. It was too early for her to do it anyway. It didn't mean she was going to let it go. Never let it be said that Nurys was completely selfish in regards to her brother and his well-being. She didn't always do it, sometimes she got distracted by personal things, but she never failed to monitor him to some degree. They both had their demons, a good number of which neither had mentioned to the other and for very good reasons. It didn't mean, though, that Nurys couldn't get concerned when she knew Ivan went half of last night without any sleep. She could let it go for now, but she knew it couldn't happen a second time, even if she had to sic Katiana somehow on the boy. For now, though, as she got closer to Constance and classmates she'd like to strangle more than she'd like to sit in a room with them, she finally text her girlfriend, having exchanged text messages during breakfast.

"I think I ate too much," Moriah stated with a pout as she subconsciously placed her left freshly-manicured hand on her stomach as the right reached for what remained of her orange juice that sat on the small square shaped dining table in front of her. The three adult Goldman women that had treated the youngest Goldman to breakfast at Norma'sβ€”one of Moriah's favorite restaurants in the cityβ€”shared a collective assumed smile among themselves as they all just stared at the young heiress. "You do this every time," her mother started as her aunt Amy was quick to chimed in adding, "you get the Zillion Dollar Lobster Frittata every time we come here. And although you know it's more food than your little tummy can handle you stuff it all down anyway until your stomach aches." Moriah made a face as if she was about to protest but realizing she had no rebuttal she just shrugged chugging what was left in her glass, "What?! It's the best thing on the menu. Plus, it's not like the frittata was the only thing I had," she said placing the empty glass down on the table. "That's exactly your aunt's point. After two cups of coffee, a glass of OJ, the frittata, and the foie gras brioche french toast am surprised you're not comatose."

"If only," came Moriah's reply as she picked up her phone off the table and swiped right to close the Gossip Girl notification that had just appeared on her phone. Moriah's before the first day of school weekend had been one of relaxation and fun. She hadn't spoken to, texted or seen any of her friends or her girlfriend since Thursday. She had spent the morning and afternoon with Clara and her family as her aunts who had flown in that morning adored the Queen Bee almost as much as Jane, who often referred to Clara as her second daughter. That evening was spent moving some of her things and Kashmir to her mother's place as she would be spending the weekend there and that night she had gone to Brooklyn and spent the night with Nurys just to spend some quality time with her girlfriend before dropping off the grid for the next couple of days. Since Friday Moriah had been strictly on family time which was something she had admittedly missed. Between both of her aunts living in different time zones and her mother dividing a majority of her time between her business and taking care of her ailing older brotherβ€”Moriah didn't see much of her family nowadays although some of the blame was on her own her shoulders as she hadn't been putting in much effort to change that.

Witnessing her uncle health progressively worsening was something that Moriah found harder to stomach than the big breakfast she had just devoured. She had no issue meeting up with her mother in the city and hanging out but that was about all she was willing to do. However, her aunts flying in made things different. When the whole family was all together it made things for Moriah a bit easier. Yes, her uncle Allan was still in stage four of his Parkinson’s disease but having everyone together just seemed to make him happier and for little moments here and there it was like Moriah could forget that he was suffering and they could all just be content and in sync as a family which was harder to do when it was just her mother, her uncle and herself.

Over the last couple of days, Moriah had been blissfully happy just being pampered by her family. She and the most important women in her life had spent all of Friday shopping until they dropped early Saturday morning. After waking late that evening the Goldman women had spent the day coddling her uncle Allan. They had watched the man's favorite movies and had actually gone out of their way to cook his favorite meals, which in every attempt the meals never came out right and they just ended up ordering in, but, the point is they attempted. Sunday was an all-day spa day at Moriah's favorite spaβ€”the Cornelia Spa at The Surrey. Now, it was currently Monday morning and while she was at school and her mother work, her aunts would be flying back to their respective homes which meant Moriah wouldn't be seeing them for a couple of weeks which was fine. With school starting up again she would need time to readjust to being back on schedule and no longer being on her own time.

"I should get going. I'm supposed to be at Constance right now helping Clara with the assembly." Moriah said as she finished reading the text that Nurys had sent her. Amy nodded in response to her niece and immediately starting looking for their waiter so they could settle the bill. "Relax Amy, we've still got a bit of time left before we have to catch our flights. Unless Jane has somewhere to beβ€”I say we stay here for a bit longer. Reiah I love you," her aunt Diane said as she got up from her seat and walked over to her niece and wrapping her arms around the girl in a tight but loving hug. Kissing the top of the girl's head she continued saying, "I hope you have a fabulous first day and you be sure to tell Carebear that we love her and we'll be seeing you both soon." Moriah smiled getting up from her seat, "I can't guarantee the day but I will definitely pass along the message to Clarie. If I'm lucky your loving words will keep her from being too pissed about me being late," Moriah said with a giggle as she walked over to mother and embraced the woman placing a kiss on her cheek before doing the same with her aunt Amy. "I love you guys. I'll come over after school to pick up Kash from your place," she said directing the last sentence to her mother as she got her coat off the back of her chair and started bracing herself for the coolness of the outside as she zipped up. As her family said their I love yous to her Moriah blew them all a kiss as she took her leave putting some extra pep in her step.

Once she outside and in her car, she sent out a text to Nurys:

To: Reese Pieces
don't h8 me bt M runN late! Breakfast w d famLe ran a bit longer thN it wz spos 2 bt M on my way nw & I'll b CN U s%n. luv yous! Don't b mad!

She considered sending a text to Clara but her bestie hadn't yet texted or called her that morning which between the assembly and the Gossip Girl blast that while she hadn't bothered to read she was sure Clara would and did didn't really surprise her. Figuring she was better off she just to the school as soon as possible she skipped the text and threw the car into drive hoping that she wouldn't have missed out on helping with the assembly entirely by the time she got to Constance.

As luck would have it, Nurys had sent the text out at the right time because just as it was delivered, a call came through from a rather interesting individual. With a raised eyebrow, Nurys swiped the call button and brought the device to her ear, answering with a teasing, "And I was wondering when I was gonna get a call from my oh so secret lover."

"Nurys..." Henry Reynolds' voice reached in a deep, annoyed timbre and Nurys grinned.

"I know, I know." Nurys then proceeded to mock a majority of his prior sayings, trying but notably failing to keep the laughter out of her voice. "'That's ridiculously inappropriate, Miss Johnson.' 'I will have you know that I am a happily' - even though we both know that part is a whole ass lie - 'married man with three kids and this is not professional.' And there's also my personal favorite - "

"Are you done?"

Nurys pretended to ponder that for a moment longer as she drew closer to the steps of Constance, not even bothering to eye Clara and her group in lieu of focusing on this particular conversation. Henry had only called her three times with this being the third. All of their other meetings had been face-to-face, and mostly without Ivan. She didn't keep her brother out of things; they were a duo and that meant that she worked to get the both of them attention. She just hadn't needed him to be a witness to how she had received - or, well, taken - Henry Reynolds' attention. She heard the griping in her head enough to not want to deal with it in person. "Fine, fine. I'll stop," she conceded. She needed Henry on her side, not to antagonize him so much that he didn't want to deal with her at all. "To what do I owe this pleasant surprise, Henry?"

"You want studio time and good studio time, at that. I can give that to you, but I need more exposure on your part. You need to perform." Nurys listened without interjection then as she ascended the stairs. It occurred to her that perhaps exchanging a call with a man who had already been theorized to be having an affair behind is wife's back. Nurys knew their secrecy would be a thing of contention. At the same time, once Henry called on her to talk business instead of consistently telling her that she was too much, Nurys couldn't bother with those thoughts for too long. She had nothing to feel particularly guilty for when it came to this relationship. And if it just so happened that she could smirk more easily in Primrose's presence. "I have a friend who's performing at the Village Underground next weekend and they'll need an opening act to - "

"Are you serious?" Nurys hissed as she entered the front door, actually attempting to keep her voice down. "The village? Who the hell is looking for anyone at the - "

"It's not about who's looking at you there, it's about who looks once your performance is uploaded to the Internet," Henry interjected. "People come and go to the village, but they always record when they're there and share on social media. The good and the bad. You just need to make sure you're the best. Show that you can get a following. Once you do that, and you have to make the performance good, then we can talk about more."

Nurys didn't speak again for a moment, eyes near slits as she considered the possibility. "Consider it done. I gotta go." She didn't bother offering anything more; she hung up and after a beat, a slow grin formed on her face as she put the possibilities of next week on the back burner in favor of approaching a duo she was good on seeing. At least, she was happy to see one half of the duo. "And I was wonderin' when I'd get to see my baby daddy," Nurys exclaimed loud enough so that anyone nearby could hear her, which was probably the last thing Primrose would have wanted when she was interacting with her boyfriend. However, Tristan was Nurys' friend first and she couldn't be bothered with caring for the blonde's feelings. "Hey, you," she continued to greet and pressed a quick kiss to Tristan's cheek as she breezed past them. "Save you a seat, babe." Still grinning, Nurys continued down the hall, the students present parting immediately at each click of her heels against the linoleum.

Much like what Liam thought would happen, Ivan did see through his smile and tilted his head curiously, trying to search the guy's expression. Ivan knew he wasn't exactly the greatest at reading people; he left that to Nurys and, well, anyone else. He had some intuition, don't get him wrong. But it wasn't some undeniably strong skill that he had developed over the years. He was still working on it, but he did notice that Liam wasn't saying something. Ivan just also wasn't the one to question Liam when they were still in a crowded store. "Oh, sweet! Really? How'd you meet 'em?" He pressed, eager to just let Liam have it for now and question him later in the day when they had a study hall or something. "And you already know you can't show me any new music til' Nurys sees it too. She'd kill me."

While they had been talking and heading for the door, it took Ivan a second longer to see that Liam's eyes weren't focused just on him, but something over his head. Since Ivan had been the first one out the door, he turned around to glimpse the stranger in St. Jude uniform and raised an eyebrow at Liam, tipping his head towards the store as a reference when they reached his friend's car. "What was that? You know him or somethin'?"

While being back at school was nice, it was most certainly a lot louder than she remembered, which was admittedly irritating. Her hands were stuffed into her locker eyes concentrating on her phone. She'd been stuck on the same level of a stupid game for a few days now, and after the game over sign flashed up on the screen, a groan passed her lips. Then, she heard a voice that immediately put a smile one her face.

Turning and seeing Tristan made her feel so much better in an instant. "Well hey there, handsome. Are you really getting yourself into trouble already?" A kiss was placed on his cheek and she found it was a lot easier with the few inches her shoes added. Prim was about to speak when she was cut off by a voice that she most definitely did not want to hear. "Hey, you," A loud scoff was sounded as she gave Tristan's arm a little squeeze, glaring daggers at Nurys as she walked off. "Save you a seat, babe." In fact, her eyes didn't leave the other girl until she was out of sight. With an sigh, she looked back up to Tristan and wiped his cheek. "She's totally saying stuff like that to wind me up, right? Ugh..." Running perfectly manicured white nails through her pony tail, Prim took her hand in his and gas

"I'm going to have to go and see Clara and Sam before the assembly. You're free too come, but I didn't think you'd want to. For obvious reasons." She shook her head for a moment. Primrose was aware they'd be in the gym at the moment, and Clara would already have everything set up. Whether or not Dante had actually arrived was a different story, but her main concern was to see her circle of friends before everyone poured into the hall. Tristan probably wouldn't be too happy, but he'd understand. Of course, she felt crappy having to dash off, but it was way better than having Clara get pissy at her. "Save me a seat, alright? And for the love of God, please don't sit with Nurys." After giving his lips a quick peck, she smiled up at him after her locker was closed. "Love you, babe. See you in ten!"

With that said and a wave being given, Primrose began to dart in and out the students, resorting to pushing if needs be. It probably didn't help that she hand her nose buried in her phone, texting away frantically whilst making her way over.

From: Sammy / Sam
You at school yet? I'm gonna try and get there at least a few minutes early to help in the auditorium. It's either that or hear about how lazy I am from Clara...

To: Sammy / Sam
I'm coming now. Literally, I'll be about a minute, if that.

Keeping her phone at hand, she used the camera to swiftly check her hair before pushing open the door and entering the gym. Her heels clicked against the floor loudly, signalling that she was here. "Sorry for taking so long, I had to catch up with Trist. You didn't do bad setting everything up, Clara." She smiled pleasantly, lifting a hand to wave to Penelope and Sam. God, she genuinely missed seeing everyone together like this. Noting that Dante wasn't here made her frown and turn her head, just enough to catch a glimpse of him. He didn't even come over and say hi to everyone, what a shame."I didn't miss much, did I?"

Willow had arrived at the school gates a little past the time she'd promised Clara. God, I hope she's not gonna be pissy, Willow thinks as she pulls into Constance and St Judes shared car park. Spying a couple pressed up against the trunk of the guys car, Willow rolled her eyes at their passionate embrace, jumping out of her car and slamming the door shut behind her. She'd never been a fan of PDA, well, unless she was drunk then Willow couldn't give a flying fuck who saw her half-naked streaking down the street. Ah, good memories.

Waltzing into school, her stride full of confidence, Willow notes that everyone seems to be here bright and early. Spotting Dante Lawson, Willow's eyes widened as she heads for the front of the hall where Clara stood, she makes sure to take the route that goes by where he sits, dropping a snide "Oh Dios mΓo, I never thought I'd see the day Dante Lawson arrived at school on time." not stopping to hear his response as she continues on - sending Nurys and Tristan each a small smile as she heads past them too.

Finally reaching where Clara stood with her usual posse, Willow's smile fades to being somewhat less genuine as she greets them all. "Hey guys, ugh the traffic was awful this morning." Willow begins, immediately getting in there with her excuse in hopes that Clara wouldn't then bring up her lateness. Stiffening a little when her eyes meet Sam's, Willow's obvious distaste for the guy writes itself all over her face for a millisecond before she wipes it off and it's replaced with that same smile.

Averting her gaze from the tall guy that stood right in front of her, Willow turned to look at Penelope, a much more friendly face. "Penny, you're looking cute today," Willow beams, Penelope was perhaps the one person within this 'popular' group that Willow could stand for more than fifteen minutes; she was a genuinely sweet girl that Willow found she actually had quite a lot in common with.

Then taking in her surroundings, Willow can't help but be a little impressed by Clara's work. "The hall looks great too." She concedes, not one to keep a compliment to herself simply because she's not the Queen Bee's biggest fan. During this entire greeting, Willow almost entirely ignores Primrose. Now Clara was bitchy and mean but Primrose was almost worse in Willow's eyes, she acted to sweet and cute but ever since Willow arrived at the school, she'd only ever been cold to her. Probably because Willow was so close with her boyfriend, she was worried that Willow might have feelings for him. Good thing she really only saw Tristan as a good friend.

Fiddling in her schoolbag, Willow emerges with her phone, deciding to send out a quick text while Clara and the girls put the finishing touches on the snack table. The assembly should be starting soon.

To: Vin
Where are u? Ur gonna get into deep shit if u miss assembly

Stuffing the phone back straight after the text is sent so that none of the stuffy teachers currently patrolling the hall could take it off her, Willow looks back at the group waiting to see if Clara was going to get her to do anything or if she could go sit down finally.

Clara smiled as she looked around the hall. The hall looked great, so much better than last year. How Clara manages to do better each year baffles even her at times. It would've been nice if a few more of group had helped, or just showed up. Some were blameless, others had excuses, but the ones who didn't bother to say anything annoyed her the most. Speaking of annoyance, Sam finally arrived. Lateness wasn't uncommon for the Queen's King, but the first day wasn't the time to be late.

"If I knew devil worship would get you here, I would've done it sooner... it would've been nice if you showed up."

His mischevious smile didn't work on her as much as he thought it did. Her look of disapproval faded into a sigh. 'Not much I can do about it now.' She'll be nice about it for their friendship. The resident Queen and King Bee have been friends for years, their mothers putting them together. Sam was her social equal in every way. Clara couldn't help thinking of the Gossip Girl post. Sam may not be hers in a romantic sense, but things could happen. Everyone thought they were both cute and scary together. The fact that they weren't kept stories going of how she's a terrible that nobody could stand to be near her. There is nothing wrong with waiting for someone special, but it would be nice cease the rumors.

Clara's eyes caught movement in the back of the hall. Dante Lawson, another one of Clara's more complicated relationships. The playboy looked good today, but he always dressed impressively. Clara always had a fondness for the playboy. He's charming, attractive, and shared her love of finer things. However, his reputation stopped Clara from acting on her fascination. She wasn't going to be another knotch in his bedpost. Still, he could've said hello instead of ignoring everyone.

More of her group began to arrive: Prim first then Willow. Primrose had to see her boyfriend. Clara wanted to gag thinking about it. Her friends had the habit of dating people she didn't like, but Clara wasn't in the position to meddle. Her friend was happy and she'd be cordial, somewhat. Next was Willow, the frenemy. She's fresh blood and still open for molding. Clara smiled.

"We better find our seats. We have bigger things to talk about after: Sam's back to school party. Just warning you," turning to look at Sam, "If strippers show up I'm not coming."

"Oh you know, the typical not wearing a blazer crap. You'd think this school would take a hint, but nah." Seeing her face made the mornings better, especially today. Everyone was buzzing about some assembly, but it was just another powerplay by the Queen Bee. Tristan typically ditched these events, but he was already on a thin ice with the faculty. His step-father was the only reason he hasn't been expelled. 'Rich people and their power.'

Nurys little display didn't make Tristan's day any easier. The rivalry between the two musicians wasn't lost on him. Having a girlfriend who one of his friends didn't like wasn't easy. Tristan understands though. He wouldn't deny that Primrose has had it easier in life than some of his friends. Nurys had to work harder than Prim when it comes to their music careers. Although Tristan would never say this to Prim, but he does think it. "Relax, she's harmless." Well, Nurys is dangerous, but the flirting and overly affectionate attitude was just to piss off Primrose. The two both have their relationships and aren't planning to ruin it over some feud.

His grilfriend running off to see her friends wasn't completely uncommon. Did it bother Tristan? Yeah, but he can't say he's not used to it. Tristan chuckled thinking about it. How his past two relationships both were close with his enemies was laughable. Some say he loves the drama and he'd laugh along with it. His life is already a TV drama so might as well just go along with it."Go see your friends, it's fine. But no sitting next to Sam. I'll sit next to anybody else." As much as Tristan didn't like the Queen Bee, her king was even worse. Clara reluctantly accepted the relationship, but Sam has been meddling since the beginning. Being trapped next to Clara was more tolerable.

Tristan moved witht the crowd as everyone was making their way to the school hall. He let out a low whistle at the sight of it. Although it was the student council's task to plan and decorate the assembly, they just followed Clara's orders. She did a nice job, though Tristan wouldn't say that to her face. The catering looked amazing, Liam's family must have done it. Tristan recognized those sweets anywhere. Speaking of which, he hasn't arrived neither has Ivan. He'd have texted then, but Tristan could feel the staff's eyes on him. Maybe later...

Tristan noticed the school's resident playboy in the back. Dante was definitely in his good books. Tristan took a seat in front of Dante, turning around to face him. "Have any fun lately or hoping for that forbidden one?" Tristan couldn't help poking at Dante and Clara's... sexual tension. It's so funny. "Speaking of fun, am I still uninvited from the back to school bash?
