Willow's style differs drastically depending on her mood. On a good day, she loves to wear vibrant colours and fun styles of clothing. It wouldn't be completely strange to find her in a bright yellow tshirt and dungaree shorts on a day she's feeling particularly happy. However, on the flip side, Willow tends to stick to white, grey and black on her bad days. She's not as open to trying new things either, so black skinny jeans and a grey jumper would be the height of her fashion when she's not feeling so great. Not only does her style change with her mood, but Willow likes to change up her style with the season also - for example - pastels in spring, bright colours in summer, deep colours in fall and dark colours in winter.

Willow is beautiful, and she has no hard time admitting that. To some, she may come across as vain, but Willow just sees it as confidence, why shouldn't she love her face? It's the one her mama gave her. The contrast of her cute little freckles against her caramel puerto rican skin gives Willow a youthful look, and the fact that her skin has also graced her by staying mostly flawless also helps with that. That's not to say that Willow has no insecurities, in fact, her dark circles are a cause for much stress in the mornings as she attempts to cover them. Not makeups biggest fan, Willow tends to stick to concealer and a bit of mascara. Willow keeps her hair around shoulder length at it's longest, as she doesn't enjoy doing too much styling.

Willow is a dancer, so she's always loved any form of dance but especially salsa and cha-cha dancing. Both are a big part of her culture and heritage which is also something Willow loves to learn about. Her abuelos (grandparents) have always played a massive role in Willow's upbringing and she's not sure whether she'd be the person she is today without their love. Something that Willow enjoys doing just for the hell of it is flirting, she's definitely not interested in a relationship right now, but there's a kick she gets out of batting her eyelashes and biting her lip to win someone over. Similar to this, Willow loves kisses, in any form, whether they're platonic cheek kisses, passionate make outs or even sneaky pecks so as to not draw attention. Other likes of Willow's include comedies, a good book, parties and being surrounded by friends & loved ones.

Naturally, Willow hates any kind of cruelty but especially animal cruelty - if she sees an animal being abused, Willow has no qualms with going up and telling off the owner. Never to one who always plays by the rules, Willow has had a tough time with authority in the past, which gets her into a lot of trouble; especially with her grandparents. Although her father tells her many stories, Willow hates the fact that she cannot remember her father and would give anything for just one afternoon with him. Being quite an outgoing girl, Willow has had to stand up for her friends in the past multiple times, and bullies really make her mad. Despite being loud herself, Willow hates arrogance and obnoxious people. Other dislikes of Willow's include electronic music, horror movies, meatheads and coffee.

Confident | Hotheaded | Flirtatious | Stubborn

Willow seems to ooze confidence, at first sight, it's easy to think that she's never insecure and everyone always likes her. This isn't the case, although she is definitely a confident person, everyone has issues sometimes. In fact, a lot of the time, people don't like Willow because she is just so confident, which is misconstrued for arrogance. Not that Willow particularly minds, if someone doesn't like her, she doesn't get hung up on it but rather, just dislikes them right back. However, on the flip side, if Willow really like someone, she also has no problem with walking up to them and saying hello - something a lot of people may struggle with. Willow is to put it simply, just comfortable with who she is, besides, even if she does have an issue with herself she just thinks, I can't change who I am, so I either learn to love my flaws or be hung up on it forever.

It may seem like a stereotype for Willow to be so short tempered, seeing that she is a Latin American woman, but she doesn't care. Nothing else about Willow feeds into such a stereotype, and besides, this was just the way she was raised. It's not because her family is Latin American, but rather because she just had such a hotheaded Abuela, Willow took on that trait. It's not like Willow is mean she can just lose her temper very quickly which often gets her into hot waters with other people who are confused as to why she is suddenly so mad at them. Now, if there's nothing else that Willow does well, she's amazing at holding grudges. There are still people from her childhood who pissed her off that are on Willow's shit list, so getting on her bad side is not a wise idea.

Almost anyone would agree that Willow is quite beautiful, which means she's never had much trouble getting a date. However, relationships have never been something that she's been particularly interested. While she's still young, Willow wants to experience everything life has to offer, as much as she can. This means, she's not too into the idea of settling down, at least not right now. Flirting has always been something Willow enjoyed, even when she didn't know what it was. Subtle smiles and the grazing of wrists as they stay just centimetres apart, craving touch, give Willow a rush like no other; and quite frankly, the girls good at it. She knows all the little tricks to make a boy or girl of her choosing fall at her feet - not that she'd ever use that maliciously. Willow is definitely no user, anyone she's ever been with has known she's not interested in a relationship, and they are ok with that. In fact, a lot of guys find it hot. Being comfortable in her sexuality often leads to a lot of gossiping when it comes to other people knowing, but Willow doesn't tend to care. Let them talk, only she and the person she was with knows what really happened, and she likes to keep that secret.
( iv )
Much to do with her hotheadedness, Willow is stubborn as well. Being told what to do just doesn't sit right with Willow and if she wants something her way, she'll get it - or nothing will get done. It's my way or the highway when it comes to Willow. Again, this has caused a lot of trouble in her life, especially when it comes to authority figures like teachers. Willow has never, and most likely will never, be in any teachers good books. She likes to break rules and test boundaries. There is only one person Willow will change her ways with, and that's her Abuela.

Anna-Maria GarcΓa (nee. Rodriguez) | Mother | 35 | Unemployed
Being only a teenager herself (18) when she gave birth to Willow, Anna never felt as if she had time to properly experience the supposed 'best years of her life' as she was stuck with parenting a small child during her twenties. While her husband got to go to work and escape the boring housework and general baby clean up, Anna always felt as if she had been dealt the short straw and so, one day, she dumped Willow on her mother-in-law's doorstep and said screw it. Calling up her girlfriends, they hit the town for an innocent day of drinking and shopping. However what was meant to be a one time thing quickly turned into a daily thing and soon Willow was staying over at her Abuelos house just for the convenience as she was bound to end up there the next day anyway. Due to this, Willow and Anna have never formed a strong bond and Willow honestly views her Abuela as more of a mother than Anna ever was.
Gabriel GarcΓa | Father | 38 | Partner at GarcΓa & Wilson International LLP
Also being very young when Willow was born, Gabriel was perhaps more excited by the prospect of a baby than his girlfriend (soon to be wife) yet still just as overwhelmed. He finished his law degree as quickly as he could so that when the baby came, he would be able to support Anna and his daughter in all aspects of life. Joining Wilson International LLP almost immediately after graduating, it took Gabriel a long time but he eventually worked his way up the ladder until eventually he was partnered by his boss, Jonathan Wilson. Due to his determination to provide for his family, Gabriel was often away from home working long hours or on business trips so he also never really became close with Willow. It wasn't until she was old enough to realise the sacrifices her father had made for her that Willow truly began to appreciate him for the amazing man, and father, he is.
Valeria GarcΓa | Grandmother | 60 | Retired Seamstress
Valeria adores her granddaughter. Being a massive part of her upbringing, Willow knows she wouldn't be who she is without her Abuela there to guide her along the way.
Carlos GarcΓa | Grandfather | 67 | Retired Businessman
Willow's grandfather is very strict but also extremely loving toward his only granddaughter. He has never had an issue laying down the law and telling her off when she's been cheeky, but Willow's smile is sweet enough to melt him every time he sees it.

Born to childhood sweethearts Anna-Maria Rodriguez and Gabriel GarcΓa when they were only 18 and 21, respectively, Willow was without a doubt an accident. However whether she was a happy one or not is debatable. If you asked Gabriel, he'd tell you that he was over the moon when Anna told him she was expecting, growing up in a very strong family environment he'd always dreamt about being a father one day and having his very own little family. Anna, on the other hand, felt conflicted. She was only 18 and had never pictured having her first child so young. While Gabriel had always been surrounded by love and an amazing support system, Anna's home life couldn't have been more different. With an absent father and a mother that could barely look after herself let alone Anna, she was terrified at the prospect of being a teenage mother.
Not long after they shared the news that Anna-Maria was expecting, Gabriel proposed and the pair were hurriedly married in a rush ceremony so that Willow would not be born out of wedlock. While neither Anna nor Gabriel cared whether Willow was born to married parents or not, Gabriel's mother and father were extremely traditional and told him that the only way they'd accept this new family he'd made for himself is if he and Anna were married.
After Willow's birth, Anna-Maria quickly learnt that all her fears about being a mother seemed to come true. She was not instinctively maternal and more than anything, found herself resenting her daughter for essentially 'ruining' her life. That's not to say she didn't try, and for a while it was ok. Gabriel's parents paid his way through law school and eventually he landed himself a half-way decent job at Wilson Internation LLP, while it was a family run business, Gabriel's father was friends with Jonathan Wilson back before his retirement, meaning that he could pull a few strings and got Gabriel an interview.
Anna-Maria slowly grew tired of being the perfect housewife, which is when she began leaving Willow with Gabriel's parents so that she could go out shopping and hangout with her friends. Which was fine, for a day, but when it turned into an everyday occurrence, Valeria had to confront her. Anna-Maria broke down after the initial confrontation, confessing that she wasn't ready to be a mother and didn't know how to handle it.
Being the kindhearted woman she always had been, Valeria offered to look after Willow for a few months while Anna-Maria sorted her life out and got her head around the fact that being a mother wasn't optional. Those few months stretched on, and eventually Gabriel practically lived back at home because when he would come home from work, Willow would be at his parents house so he chose to just stay there with her.
Becoming too accustomed to having her daughter be looked after by other people, Anna-Maria realised she didn't want to go back and for a while she disappeared. Gabriel and his parents would try to contact her but she would simply ignore their calls or avoid them at every cost, it got to the point where Willow (who was around 6 at this time) didn't even really recognise Anna as her mother and instead took to calling Valeria 'mom'.
Truthfully, this should've been when Gabriel filed for divorce but he just couldn't bring himself to do it. Not only did he not want to break up his family, but Gabriel still unconditionally and irrevocably loved Anna-Maria with all of his heart. He wasn't ready to let her go, even if she was barely still in his life he still had her as his wife and that meant more to him than anything.
By the time Willow turned 10, she had realised her mother was essentially just a visitor in her life. While they all technically still lived together, Gabriel and Anna's house had become just Anna's while Willow and Gabriel lived back with his parents. Anna-Maria would come and see Willow when she felt like it and even occasionally told her that she wished she could be the mother Willow deserved, but she just still wasn't in the right mindset. This led Willow to believe that maybe there was something wrong with her, which was why she couldn't get her mother to stay. Something that she still occasionally feels, even now. Was it her fault?
It wasn't until 2014 that Anna-Maria fully came back into Willow's life, and by that point, it was really much too late. Running back to Gabriel, Anna confessed that she wanted him to come home and to bring Willow with him. Overjoyed by this news, Gabriel never stopped to think about how this change would affect Willow, too excited by the thought of getting his wife back finally.
For a few years they were happily; finally back together as a proper family, Gabriel was the happiest he'd been in a long time. Willow, on the other hand, was confused. She barely even knew Anna-Maria now and honestly didn't really see her as a mother. She knew that Anna was biologically the woman who gave birth to her, but she was also the woman who abandoned her as a baby because she just 'couldn't handle it'. The friction between Anna and Willow became increasingly more obvious and after a while, Willow really just did not want to live there anymore. Gabriel tried so hard to make it work, but he couldn't force a relationship that had already been damaged so much. Anna would buy Willow little gifts and stuff in the hopes of winning over her daughter, but nothing to change how she'd treated her daughter in the past.
As the problems with Anna-Maria and Willow grew, as did problems between her and her husband. Gabriel soon realised that they were just different people now. He'd romanticised the idea of Anna so much when they were apart that he'd convinced himself she was the only woman out there for him, which just wasn't true. Anna still wanted to go out with her friends all the time and didn't really enjoy spending quality time with her family. She found it easier not to run away because Willow was old enough to look after herself, but she still couldn't quite fill the role of wife and mother.
In 2016 Gabriel finally called it quits. He gave Anna-Maria divorce papers over dinner, which she promptly threw right back in his face. Gabriel really couldn't figure out why though, it was obvious she didn't love him anymore so why did she insist on toying with his emotions like this? Did she actually care about him or did she just like that he was a safe, stable place to run back to when she got hurt out in the big wide world?
Eventually Gabriel called in a lawyer and got Anna-Maria to sign, by which point Willow was packing her bags ready to kiss this awful life she'd had with her mother goodbye and jet off to New York. Luckily, Gabriel's company had just recently partnered him and opened up new offices on the Upper East Side, meaning that he could easily move without the worry of losing his job.
In present day, Gabriel and Willow are finally able to relax. Willow really doesn't think about her mother all that much, and while Gabriel still deeply loves Anna-Maria, he knows that this is for the best. It wasn't healthy the situation they had going on back home and honestly, he felt as though a weight had been lifted off his shoulders - a weight he never knew was there, but recently realised that it was the fact that he'd been practically carrying Anna through most of her life with money and support and now he could actually live his life not concerned about her because she was doing her own thing and so was he. They were happy.
