Introduction
The event served two purposes. The first was to demonstrate the overwhelming power the Capitol had over the districts by taking their children by force and forcing them to slay each other in a no-rules competition. It was proof that the Capitol's control over its people was so inexorable and unstoppable that they could do something so sadistic as to force the children of their conquered foes to slay each other in a battle royale. The second purpose was purely for entertainment. The Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in the same vein as a reality show, its tributes practically considered celebrities and the events themselves dramatized and glorified.
Its major industry is fishing, and children are apparently trained for jobs in this industry at a young age. This training is also useful for tributes in the Hunger Games, as they have experience in swimming, using nets and tridents, making fishhooks from scratch, and identifying edible sea life.
District 4 tends to produce Career Tributes, who volunteer to participate in the Hunger Games. Although illegal, these children are raised and trained to win the Games, making them stronger and much more capable of winning than the average tribute.

Its main industry is textile production, and they have at least one factory that is used for making Peacekeeper uniforms. It can be described as "an urban place stinking of industrial fumes, the people housed in run-down tenements. Barely a blade of grass in sight." It is regarded as one of the more rebellious districts, as well as the fifth most impoverished.

District 12's main industry is coal mining. It is the smallest and poorest of the thirteen districts of Panem. Located in Appalachia, it holds a population of around 8,000 people. District 12 consists of four major areas: the Seam, the merchant section, the Victors' Village, and the Hob.

This is a mature roleplay, so don't join if you're not alright with violence! If more people want to join other than the three districts listed, I can make that happen. I'd even be happy with this being a 1x1 roleplay if somebody chooses to play the male District 4 tribute.
Romance and real, raw reaction is encouraged to make things interesting! Feel free to actively roleplay with the "Escorts" I assign your district in order to keep the roleplay moving forward. I will post all District Escorts in the character portion of the site. As for other requirements, PLEASE do not join if you don't plan on staying committed. This could turn into something really fun that I've been wanting to recreate for a while now! 2 paragraph minimum is also something I suggest.
The plot will begin the day of The Reaping and end with a victor returning home (hopefully we make it that far)! If you're unfamiliar with The Hunger Games trilogy, I'll most likely be posting about Panem's culture in the OOC. Feel free to also research in order to become more accustomed to the environment.
There is no specific character sheet, but please make it look nice. As long as I can gather that your writing abilities satisfy the content, you should be good to go! But please include:

Collectibles

Give your Universe life by adding a Mob, which are auto-replenishing NPCs your players can interact with. Useful for some quick hack-and-slash fun!
Mobs can be automated spawns, like rats and bats, or full-on NPCs complete with conversation menus. Use them to enhance your player experience!
