Name: Faith Elwind
Role: The Shadow Child
Age: 13
Occupation: She does not remember anything before she was with Evelyn, and she has never been out of the manor.
Appearance:
She is a rather small girl, and very, very slight. Thin-boned, she looks like she could be snapped in half with merely a touch. Her hair falls to her waist, but is cut short in the front, so that there are short fronds framing her face. This cut was made in a fit of temper by Evelyn, a rage which has left the child scarred.
Personality: Very meek and very quiet, she was scarred long ago by the temper of the madman who has cared for her for as long as she can remember. At the same time as she is terrified by Evelyn, she is infatuated with him. No matter what she does, she can not escape him, always being drawn to his side. She has been likened to a harmless second-shadow, always a few feet behind Evelyn, always ready to respond to any whim that might seize him. On more than one occasion she has been sent running from his side, terrified by his temper, to the sheltering arms of a harem-woman. And yet she never fails to return to his side, once his temper has cooled. Only very rarely does Faith actually speak. She rarely strings more than three words together at a time, and often does not speak in complete sentences. Usually, she refuses to speak to anyone except Evelyn.
Likes: Candy, cakes, Evelyn when he’s in a good mood, following Evelyn, serving Evelyn, the harem girls, cooking, cleaning, dressing up in pretty clothing.
Dislikes: Evelyn in a bad mood, spicy foods, sour foods, soup, most men (all of them except for Evelyn and Oliver), storms, complete darkness
Fears: Evelyn (when he is in a rage), the demon, ever having to leave Evelyn’s side, blood, pain, shouting, the dark
Crush: Evelyn Marcelle, probably someone else eventually
History: She does not have one, so far as she remembers. She only remembers waking up in the mansion with the beautiful Lord Evelyn at her side. She does not even remember meeting him. He named her Faith and told her that she was his servant, and though she had no proof of the fact, it was the only truth she knew, so she accepted it. She believes that she has always been Evelyn’s servant. She has no idea what Evelyn’s true face looks like, and would be terrified if she did.
