So begins...

Conspiring in Eden

HeavenSetting: Heaven

Still tending her Garden she would now notice a few new faces, carefully she would kiss the bloom and stand up, admiring her handiwork. Already Eden was appearing lush and beautiful sadly it was going to take time, time she worried she would not have.

Sitting herself down on a log she beckoned for others to join, "My children, my children what brings you my domain, it's so rare I get so much company these days?"
A realm as beautiful as this will not always remain so and those who tended this world would be judged by fate herself and all who would step up to fight the great war to come. Amduscias simply stepped into the beautiful garden with his wings folded behind him while wearing a set of silver armor that seemed to shine brightly in the light. "Gaia, tender of life and beauty, a pleasure to speak with you again my lady." The watcher simply smiled a bit only to then turn his attention to the others who had come only to wonder what roles they would play within this game that was set before them all.
Raziel stood among the beings who have come to see Gaia, him folding his arms over his chest. He gave a nod as the lady Titan tended to the Garden of Eden. It used to be so beautiful and luscious before Adam and Eve ate the apple from the forbidden tree. He remembered giving the book to them afterwards to help them understand God better..but all of that aside, he had concerns, just like everybody else here, but rather, his were about Armagius. Maybe she could help him with this, just like she would help the people around him. He'd remain silent for now, letting the others speak first.
Harris had been looking around the garden when someone called him and the others near by over. He had never met Gaia but knew of her. He also knew some of the other faces here. He walked over and smiled. He wore a set of brown leather armor with a golden trim. "It's a pleasure to be here to um all of you." He said, "I just wish I was here on better terms." He said with a small frown, he knew things were not looking good so his father had summoned him to train and then if need be take part in what ever was required of the demi-god.
Noting each one she stood up and hugged them all before speaking, "My dear, dear children I see you all have heavy hearts and truly this saddens I, for I would not wish to see you suffer. But let it be known I too have fears even in my own domain." pausing she sat herself back down, appearing both young and old, but very wise, her dress seemingly part natural and leafy, not at all fabric or other manufactured materials.

Smiling she spoke again, "Would you people wish for some privacy first?" not waiting she slowly said the silent ward to cover her area and make it so no one outside of it could hear, "Who wishes to begin, I have time for all my children."
Amduscias stepping forward and not waiting for the others to speak he simply fell to one knee just to look up at Gaia in hopes of her knowing the answers he would seek. "I have watched mortal man from the start and have guided their souls through the realms to reach heaven as I was instructed to do. I alone guard the vale that keeps the worlds apart. I fear that the point of all of this is for nothing as man no longer seems to care about what gifts they are given and so they squander and waste them for their own selfish needs." Amduscias simply began to shake his head and look towards the others. "I have seen nothing but death and destruction and the vile evils that corrupt the hearts of men and when we act, even in the subtlest of ways, we are shunned for our help. I besiege you to answer my question Gaia and tell me what the point of my duty is anymore?" As always he did not waver in his beliefs but there was something more that drove this divine and it scared him slightly.
Raziel let her hug him, returning the favor to her, that being a sign of respect among angels to return a hug. The angel, seeing Amduscias speak, took a step back. "I shall go last, for I feel more comfortable speaking then." Looking back at Amduscias speak, he'd sigh. Mankind's affairs and the affairs of those who are higher usually are not to be intermixed. Mankind was given freewill to choose a path. The higher ups have no intervening in Mankind's paths. This was all his mindset though, for he did not speak this aloud to not offend anybody else. Who knows, he may be wrong in this thinking.
Harris nodded and accepted the hug, He really was not familiar with the affairs of heaven and decided to listen for now. It appeared he was going to have to say something once since the Angel Raziel had opted to go last. He decided to listen to what Amduscias and Gaia had to say. Maybe I don't belong here.He thought nervously.
Her eyes teared up at what Amduscias said and she nodded slowly at each comment before responding, "Child you are right to be angry, truly right. But it is us that must be the older sibling and therefore be the more mature. Humans are flawed darling always will be, but there are many who bring me joy, it is the people who watch over whom I worry more for. I stare in wonder at what all these people can achieve, such great wonders." she would pause, "You are not right, or wrong... we are simply meant to be the mature ones, if you wish though I could ask you are given a rest from your duty to allow some time for you to relax and in time return to your duty, all I ask Amduscias is that you listen my fears and maybe help me understand what I should do..."
It would never truly be enough but he understood those words well and simply nodded. Sense the beginning of mankind's rule he had been tasked with watching them and intervening when things seemed to grow out of hand. "Time is not our ally in retrospect to corruption and greed but maybe you are right. Forgive me Gaia for making you worry over this as I should have known the answer you have given me."
Nodding to what Gaia said, she was certainly wise, and her answer was definitely more than he could say. Probably better than what he could say. Looking over at Harris, he'd raise an eyebrow. He wondered what troubled this one though? We have Amduscias worried about humans and his role, and himself being worried about a fellow angel, Armagius. This Harris fellow..what could be the important thing on his mind? That is the question that made him wonder, but he tried not to focus on it too much since he had to focus on what he was doing.
Harris followed but he still felt out of touch here , as he shifted from foot to foot he spoke. "Those are wise words," He said pausing. "I guess I wonder if I really belong here.. I feel lost I- I'm half god and half mortal I just don't seem to fit in either place here or on earth." He looked down and shook his head.
Accustomed to this sort of question she walked over to young demi-god and leant down, embracing him before speaking, "My dear you are always welcome in Eden, but to answer your question I feel reminds me of Heracles one and how he felt, sadly we lost him to his rage, but you I feel we could have more from you and well dear it's apparent times are changing for worse I fear. So in answer you belong where you set yourself if it's here then I welcome you and may need you to care for my great garden with me, if the mortal realm then I will be sure to keep watch over you as I believe your Father would wish it."
Amduscias took back up his place and listened to what all would be said wondering if he had been worried about to much or to little these past couple of years. Mortal man was his charge in which he had to guide their souls up to heaven so that they could truly see what was in store for them but as of lately more and more souls seemed to find themselves among the damned bellow. Amduscias looked over to Raziel for a second just to then look over to Gaia and the young demigod.
He guessed that it would be his turn to speak his mind now since both Harris and Amduscias were done. Stepping forward, he'd look at her, facial expression the usual, face that didn't look like a smile nor frown, his eyebrows down but not in an angry expression. One could say it was a 'standard expression'. "Madam Gaia, I'm worried about the angel known by Armagius. I fear what he wants to do, and I also fear what heaven might become if he does succeed in what he wants. I don't have a clear image on what's being planned in his mind or what he's planning to do, but I can say, I have a bad feeling about it.."
Harris smiled, "That was very wise thank you." He said accepting the hug. Then he began to listen to the other angel. He could always serve to learn something about heavens politics. It appeared he would have a decision to make but he knew much of the mortal world but not of this higher world.
Frowning she would say, "Ah it seems that you are concerned with a great issue, and well I am afraid I have a confession... Armagius is dangerous and should not be trusted most of all you should not stand with him."

Sighing heavily she would go on, "My concern is the same but links deeper Yahweh in the past has gone missing for long periods of time, but rumour is he will do so again. The concern as of now is Armagius would have no one stopping him, that means that we have to be prepared to stand against one another, for we will be divided by his madness... I want to hear all your thoughts on this... He wishes to eradicate all life for he believes it should be destroyed and humans should feel our contempt not love, he would destroy all in his quest to purify the world."
Amduscias had been away for some time as he was to busy looking over mankind to have known any of this was going on. The need to speak up was present but Amduscias could not force himself to ask his question and instead remained silent for some time while he listened.
Raziel was now frowning at what she said, nodding slowly and rubbing his chin. "I..I see..this..well.." he was silent now. What was this? Why would Armagius do such a thing? Destroying the order of everything..no, not only that. He was ruining Heaven and Earth if he succeeds, which puts Heaven and Earth vulnerable to Hell, which could take over Heaven and destroy Earth. This could get bad in so many ways.. Giving her a look, he'd sigh. "I do not stand for this rubbish. I'm not sure how many angels will stand with him, but I can guarantee, I'm not one.." that was all he was truthfully able to say.
Harris was listening he was beginning to understand the names being spoken of. Recalling correctly his father may have mentioned some of them. To him it seemed heaven was divided. "So there could be civil war?" He asked aloud. "I for one will not listen to him then if you need my I will stand by you all." He said he knew he wasn't much but he supposed every resource counted when it came to war.
Smiling slightly she continued having heard them all, "I see you people understand the threat we face and what should we do. Let me ask though Amduscias what is your thoughts and well what of Hell surely they would not stand for this. The previous Lucifer may have supported this but the new one appears intent on fulfilling the balance, I imagine she simply fears Armagius." sighing she would go on, "But well if Armagius does continue direction he's going I may consign myself to Oblivion as the era of my kind is dying and well I would rather not see my beautiful jewel destroyed by a mad Seraphim."
"I truly have no answers for any of this. My thoughts at this point are mixed and I need time to decide on a course of action." Amduscias needed to seek out this rogue and speak with him in order to fully understand what was about to come. The balance of mankind once again shifted and he could feel the passage of time change its course again as fate deemed it. With that the watcher simply turned his back to the others and looked upon the beautiful green fields before him.
Raziel, Archangel of law sighed, standing up straight and bowing to her. "Thank you for your knowledge, Gaia. This certainly helps me in this twisted situation I'm in. If I ever need help, you will be available for conversation, yes?" Tilting his head to the side, his arms were crossed against his chest again rather than scratching his chin or just staying by his side.
Harris nodded to all of this and bowed. "Thankyou and it was great to meet and hear what you all have to say."He said with a smile. "I must be going I hope to see you all around." He added as he walked off he clearly had a lot to think about.
A flutter of wings echoed from beyond the gates, and a moment later the great Archangel Mikha'el appeared. He was clad in a suit of divinely crafted armor that resonated with a holy light. His face was concealed by the shadow of a dark hood, and the legendary Guardian Blade was sheathed at his side.
Noting the new arrival she frowned, not being sure what to think, but sighing and asking, "How much did you hear Michael?" she was concerned greatly by this and it did seem like the others shared her belief, but what they did not sadly realize is she would likely not be standing with them, she just had to make sure they were ready, "I am sure given you much to think about and I hope you all remember I am here to discuss whatever you want... although that will change, I am sorry my children, I am truly sorry."
Amduscias looked upon Mikha'el who had entered into the beautiful grove only to truly wonder how long it had been sense he actually looked into the affairs of heaven. Instead of consulting with his brothers in arms he had remained silent all these years while watching mortal man grow into what they are now. Maybe just maybe his questions will find some kind of relief for not all realized that it was mankind who held the key to the final victory here and not some emblazoned war between comrades.
Mikha'el had been busy of late. He was carefully watching over the remnants of Israel, which had fallen away from the public eye. Whether that was good or bad fortune, was irrelevant. He had heard rumors of growing strife within these sacred halls, and had returned to investigate. The archangel gave a nod to Gaia. "Very little, Earth Mother." he said. Mikha'el's voice was deep, powerful, yet kind and reserved. "I have only just arrived from my patrol in the Holy Land."
Raziel, upon turning his back to leave the area, noticed Mikha'el who had been gone for quite some time. He felt it was a bit of a shame to leave at a time like this, to just say "Oh, there's my brother who I haven't seen in ages. And now I'm gonna leave him."..the thought stuck in his head, but he merely shook his head and beginning to walk away. He had his question answered. There was not much left to do here.
Nodding slowly she would say only this, "Keep an eye on Armagius my child and you will understand, I can't speak but I promise we shall all speak again. But we must return to our duties and remember you are all welcome in my Garden everyone of you. Whether you wish to chat or have worries I will listen." with that she walk over to the three angels and hug them all lovingly before parting, "I am sorry Michael you have come back to your home threatening to divide... I wish it was not so..."
Amduscias accepted the hug and was off as something felt off back at the broken throne of stone and copper he guarded.
Mikha'el's eyes went wide. Was it possible? How could the Kingdom stand if it was divided such? His mind went back to when the Son of Man traversed the land he guarded so feverishly. A house divided against itself cannot hope to stand. "Gaia... What do you mean? What fate has befallen this sacred house?"
She sighed and sat herself down, "Arrogance happened Michael and it shall continue... I warn you now Michael you have known me long time longer than most... I will not stay if this continues I have held off my consignment long enough, I will accept reaching cosmic..." sighing she continued, "Just be warned and remember whom was the favourite of them two Azrael and Armagius."
"Has darkness crept into the heart of one of His children so soon?" he said as he knelt beside Gaia. He remembered the first rebellion in Hell quite well. After all, it was he who personally ripped Lucifer's wings from his back and cast him down into the Lake of Fire. "Please, Gaia... Tell me everything."
She appeared so fragile unlike how she usually seemed strong and caring, but clearly this was a wound to her, to her completely, "Armagius whom you know I don't doubt has allowed his heart to give into contempt and hate, he loaths the human race and any species, wishing for it be purified..." taking the Archangel hand she went on, "I fear for heaven and fear the planet, for certain posturing has forced Hell to void the alliance... but there is much we don't know... for instance the princes are dangerous... Yet she yes Lucifer is Lilith as you see you have missed much..."
Mikha'el sighed deeply. "I see the reasoning behind his madness. True, Man has continued to fall away from the blessing of Yahweh's Torah. They scorn his Word and curse his Name, but we are sworn by duty nonetheless. Just like Sodom and Gomorrah, there was yet righteousness hiding in the den of vipers. I am truly sorry to see such a fate fall upon this holy dwelling."

The Archangel rose and unclenched his wings. "If Armagius is truly seeking to destroy the entirety of Man, then I must make preparations to safeguard His Chosen People. Just like the Ark of old, which I guided through the Great Flood, I must preserve sanctuary for Israel."
Grabbing the Angel's shoulder she said with fear evident, "They need a leader Michael, you are ideal for this... I am not a fighter and I am sorry but I wish to not see my planet destroyed by the machination of madmen, please finish my work when time comes, and stand against him."
Mikha'el nodded. "As long as I have my wings, and The Spirit flows through me, I will not allow Man to be utterly destroyed. For the sake of Abraham's faith, the Covenant must be maintained!"
Relieved she let go of him and sighed, "I am sorry but these people need a leader and well I can help them, but can do no more... Also you will be needed to damn some of those who side with him, are you ready to do this?"
Mikha'el bowed his head solemnly. His gauntlet rested on the hilt of The Guardian Blade. "I will do what I must. I will stand between Man and obliteration, even if it means my own destruction and the banishment of my kin."
Accepting this she hugged the angel and said, "I am glad you understand Michael..." with that she parted and turned towards the garden only stopping to say, "Welcome back, I wish my friend it was better times." as she started to weed the garden and caress the petals of her flowers.
"Aye... Likewise."

With that the leader of the Archangels, Mikha'el, the Guardian of Israel, started for the gates. He unfurled his wings and leaped over the edge. Like a falling star, he descended into the mortal realm to begin his plans.
The dull thuds of the Halberd of Judgement echoed down the hall. Armagius's tall intimidating form appeared around the corner just as Mikha'el descended. He noticed several other figures leaving the Garden.

The grip around his halberd tightened slightly. What were they doing? Where they conspiring against him? Armagius cursed silently under his breath. How deeply had the heresy gone? He had to be more careful now...

They are coming for you...

Armagius glanced over his shoulder. There it was again - where was that blasted voice coming from. Whoever it was - they were probably right. They were plotting against him. He just knew it! One thing became clear to the Seraph.

He needed allies.
