"LSD!" Casren burst into a fit of hoots and hysterics, some of the guards around the perimeter of the square chucking as well.
"That was one hell of a party, wasn't it?" He would swipe at her, but had too much decency. "Finish my work? I think my work here is done!" At this, Casren gestured around towards Verinotte Hollow.
The fountain he was perched on was large and grand, gilded with gold and decorated with draconic gargoyles. Below the fountain was a beautifully cobblestoned square, surrounded in gnarling trees and rose bushes. Hanging from the gnarling trees were candle fire lanterns, some of them jovially grinning back from a pumpkin facade.
To the north was a small canal, running through the town and ending at the fountain, eluding that the fountain extends far deep beyond the square. This road was lined with shops and cherry blossoms, everything seeming mildly dead but so, so alive. The Piata, an open air market, was just beginning to thrive in the north east. Casren hoped to see gypsies selling their exotic wares here soon.
To the west, they were finishing off a large building. It fit the old european ambiance of the town, but was still quite grand despite itself. Shallow stone stairs led up to an intricately fronted building. This was to be Verinotte Hall. Alternatively to the east Lanterna Way stretched towards the completed Tower Alba. That was where the Forces Vankoryth, supernatural military, called their HQ at the moment.
Breathing in the air, smelling whatever french concoction Tauvyr Tavern was cooking, Casren grinned upon Athena.
"How about something interesting?"
