Weapons:

  • Knife in her boot
  • Short sword attached to her back
  • Magic
  • Pistol that Kurtis gave her

History

Her history is long and complicated. Basically she was stolen from her coven in the dead of the night when other people were killed and ended up out in the world on her own when she killed her captors. She knew absolutely nothing about the outside world, and at one point ended up being owned by Rufus Klane, who used her as a performer and prostitute in his club, and kept her prisoner there along with other girls whom he beat often, etc. She escaped, eventually, and has been running ever since, not only from Rufus, but also from people who find out about her along the way and want to use her for her power and steal the crystal that she was born with embedded in her hip.

Since she's arrived in Wing City, she's trained under Connor as an assassin, to be able to do something a little more with her time.

So begins...

The doors swung open and in walked a young woman to the unfamiliar establishment, dressed in flowing floral fabrics of deep maroons and browns and white, her long brown hair falling in curls around her face and down her back. She shivered a bit in the weather that she was not used to, and rubbed her hands together, looking for nothing more than a few shots of whiskey and a place to stay for the night. She dropped her bag and guitar to the floor as she made her way to the bar, turning her head to look around her and accidentally displaying the bruise-marks, the shape of hands, on her neck, before sliding herself onto one of the barstools, laying a few coins on the wooden surface.

Sighing, Alyssa began to throw back the shots that were sitting on the bar in front of her. The chill out of her bones, and the sorrow from her eyes, Alyssa turned to put her arms on the bar behind her and lean back against it, surveying the room. She had just spent her last bits of money on the whiskey, and while it had been worth it, she was out of funds. This was not the first time she had been broke, nor will it be the last, and she began taking in each person, her bangles jingling as she scratched her jaw. She would do anything just to survive. If she had to steal, so be it. If she had to bring a stranger to bed, so be it. She began singing soft tones under her breath in her rich but soft voice. Alyssa gave herself a firm nod and again examined each person's clothes, trying to find the best way to make her living, and live another day.

Within a few moments, she had surveyed all the interesting people in the bar. There was a woman drawing a man, another woman sitting at the bar with a man, the tension of lust between them, or so she assumed. Someone else had just come in down the stairs, a green tail attached to him, Alyssa raised her eyebrows. And finally, a couple other people worth noticing sitting at the bar. She ran her hand through her hair, a pang of guilt rushing through her from head to toe, but she pushed it down. She had been too hardened over the years to let tears fall, to actually acknowledge how much trouble she was in, running for her life, stealing to make it. She had heard they were in the town she had just been in, looking for her. She knew that it was a matter of time before they found her, but she was sure as hell going to put in every effort she could to make sure she got away. Sighing again, Alyssa stood, slipping a toothpick in between her teeth and untying the side of her long over-skirt, leaving it with her bag by a stool. Underneath she wore a tight leather dyed maroon skirt, showing off her long, tan, muscular legs, and the scars littering them, brown boots, a white off the shoulder shirt, and a brown vest. She stood up and began meandering around the room, looking at things on the wall, idly walking to and fro.

Alyssa turned her head, leaning against the wall, arms crossed in front of her chest, surveying the man moving in ways she never expected anyone really could, before moving closer to him and leaning against the wall by him. She tilted her head to the side, aware that she was staring, but thankful for anything that will keep her from the guilt and nervousness boiling in her stomach about her need for food. What is it this time about feeling so guilty anyways? She scoffs at herself and adjusts the brown headband in her hair and pulling down her mid-thigh length skirt just a bit, just standing there and watching.

Just moments before his foot collided with her face, or so she thought it was going to, she pressed herself back against the wall, a small squeak escaping her lips. She raised his eyebrows at the fact that his eyes were closed, and let out her breath.
"Yeah," she said, nodding and examining him from head to toe, "That's really fantastic. I didn't know people are capable of those movements." She continues to stare at him for a few seconds before mumbling just loud enough for him to hear (although not intentionally) "If I could fight like that I'd never have to run again."

She nodded, her eyes again directed toward the tail, and runs her hand through her hair, impressed. Alyssa, her concentration, just as she had been about to tell Andrew that it was nothing, nothing for him to concern himself with, turned toward all the ruckus by the door. Immediately, she turned on her heel and ran over, boots clunking, kneeling by the person who was lying on the floor.
"Hey!" she exclaimed loudly as she leaned over him, "Are you all right?"

She turned her head toward the person who had just stood next to her. "Well is there one here? I'm not from here." she asked, looking up at him before standing up and backing up a few steps, stumbling into the man named Markuss, nearly tripping over him. "Oh shit, I'm sorry," she said. All desire to steal something, to move on, had been put on hold by her stupid curiosity, her stupid feelings, her stupid fear. What was it about this time that she couldn't do it?

Upon seeing how much pain the violet eyed stranger was in, Alyssa rushed to her bag. She reached inside, before pulling out a thin branch off of a tiny plant. She had a whole jar of them, and came over, handing him one of them. "Eat it," she said matter of factly, "The pain will subside, and give you time to heal without much pain." she pressed it into his hands before perching herself onto a table, sitting on it with her booted feet on a chair, watching the others, a strange feeling in the back of her head and the base of her heart.

Alyssa laughed a little bit at the mocking that Markuss was doing, sitting on the table, her bag beside her, boots planted firmly on the chair. She reached her hand to lightly scratch one of the many scars on her legs, before flexing the muscle and leaving it alone.
"Hardly a doctor," she interjected into the conversation. "Just a little trick I've picked up in my time." It's obvious that she's young, but she's had her time just like anyone else. She turns her head to the man named Void, "Of course it's safe. I could sell some of it to you if you want," she says to Void, Andrew, and Markuss as one, the rumbling in her stomach bringing her back to her original purpose in being here. She needed money and she needed to run. Before they found her...

Alyssa puts her long over skirt she had been wearing into her patchwork bag, cross one leg over the other and watching the two men in front of her. She smiled a little bit in curiosity, resting her arm on her knee.
Before she could take a second to comfortably settle herself, she felt a quiet dread in her chest. An instinct she had long been accustomed to, long trusted. The bell on one of her bracelets jingled lightly. Her eyes widened and her stature straightened and she reached over, grabbing a tiny book out of her bag and holding it close to her, slowly lowering herself into the chair. They were in the city. She could feel them. Hopefully they didn't come in here. Dear gods please don't let them come in here. She swallowed loudly.

She looked over, her eyes wide with both fear and a small fire beginning to glow in the back of her eyes. "Not a problem," she says before opening the little book in her hand and mumbling something under her breath. Her eyes flashed a dark crimson and she flexed her fingers. That was going to make her harder to find. She knew they had special dogs sniffing her out, but maybe if she could just hide out in here for a while, they'd lose her imprint. She swallowed. There wasn't going to be any facing them. If they came in here, if they found her, she was going to die.

Alyssa turned toward Void, lifting one eyebrow before shrugging her shoulders. "Everyone's running from something, right?" she asks. "My something just happens to be in the city." she gives a grim smile and pulls the hood of her vest up over her head, her long brown curly hair falling down out of the openings around her neck.

She shook her head at Andrew, "I wouldn't ever ask anyone to do that," she says, scratching the back of her neck, again exposing the hand-print bruise. I don't want to ask anyone to sacrifice themselves because of my stupid escape from them." She had to raise her voice a little bit over the sound of the men who had just come in. She looked at them with curiosity before directing her attention back toward the door, the little bell on her bracelet still rattling quietly.

Shrugging her shoulders, she might as well tell them anyways, Alyssa searched for the right words. "I used to be... something of a... performer," she said, trying to make it so that they didn't get the wrong idea of her. "Some other girls and I." She gestured to the scars on her legs and the couple on her arms. "We didn't get treated too nicely, so one night, I led a group to escape." a bit of pride crawls into her voice, "We killed a lot of the people running the establishment, but the other two girls I was leading didn't make it-one was killed on our way out, the other shortly after from the wounds she got. So it's been just me. And they've been following me. They used me and my power," gesturing toward the book that she had in her hand and making sparks fly out from her fingertips, "to steal from the clients. And when we escaped, well, they've been chasing me ever since. I've managed to kill a few of them. But the leader..." she shrugs. She forces a small smile on her lips, shrugging her shoulders again. "It's really not a big deal, though, she says, trying to divert attention away from her current misfortune."

She watched as they left her, nodding her head, and glancing around the room. She gave a wave, and a see you later, before dragging herself to sit back up on the table. She watched as a woman came in, and sang. A smile came across her lips. She had forgotten how much she'd loved to perform. How she had traveled from town to town with nothing but her guitar and some money and performed for her living. She ran her hand through her hair, watching the woman before clapping slowly when she was done, unaware if others would begin to clap with her.

Alyssa stood up, walking over to the bar and ordering another round of whiskey for herself with the coins that she was able to fish out of her bag. Her bracelet had stopped jingling, but that didn't mean much. "Just lie low," she mumbled to herself, and took a couple shots before hoisting herself up to sit on the bar itself, her feet on the stool in front of her. She straightened her maroon dyed leather skirt and tight brown vest over the off the shoulder white shirt. She reached down into her boot and straightened the knife in the holder, before resting her hands on the bar on either side of her.

Alyssa brought her head back, rolling it from shoulder to shoulder before reaching her hand out, snapping her fingers before the bottle of whiskey zooms into her lap, unnoticed by most, before taking swigs straight out of the bottle. Memories haunted her, but she paid them no attention. Who cares if they show up to get her ? She was tired of running. Screw it. Let them come.

Alyssa looked up, scoffing at the argument in front of her, almost half of the bottle gone into her. She was beginning to feel a little tipsy, so she set it down. "I've got a great idea," she mumbled, "Why don't we all just stop arguing?" she shook her head again, cracking each of her knuckles. She looked around the room, again, watching everyone anticipate a fight. Sickening, she thought, and shook her head. She glanced over at Elijah before following his gaze back to the argument.

Despite her dislike of the discomfort in the bar, Alyssa had to cover her mouth to muffle the little laugh she gave at the comments being thrown back and forth.
