Assa came from the upstairs hotel, wiping sleep from her eyes and zipping up one of her usual overlarge jumpers that fell to her knees. "Tell you what, though, that sure puts you to sleep," she muttered to herself. "Speak of the devil," Assa added, having noticed Christopher.

Assa , after checking one last time that her hair was not sticking up in all directions, wandered over to Christopher with a smile of her own. "I did say I'd be right as rain in a little while," she grinned. "We 'shifters always did recover quick."

Assa arched a brow. "A dangerous thing to admit? Why so? I can't imagine my cell manipulation and reconstruction makes for all that interesting a thing."

Assa "I'm not terribly sure I understand," the girl said with a shake of her head, arms folding over her chest in uncomfortable confusion. Well, at least she wasn't blushing - a sure occurrence had Yuber been present.

Character Portrait: Assa Assa says,
"I - Oh. Oh." Assa got it with surprising clarity now - was that why the creepy vampire had stalked her beforehand, or was he just a royal arse? Assa wasn't sure which reason she'd prefer. "Four or five times a week," she murmured, brow furrowing. "That's what he meant? Good lord..."

Assa nodded her head. "Of course, like you said, if you were any less just... Your - kind? - they would do that? I mean, like some sort of... living food supply?"

Character Portrait: Assa Assa says,
"Quite nice to have a herd?" Assa looked rather disgusted by this point - well, who wouldn't be? They were discussing her as if she were cattle.

Assa "Kill people? No, not as far as I'm aware... Have you killed someone, then?" she asked. If the girl hadn't started as pale as she was, she' certainly have lost any colour in her cheeks by now.

Assa hummed awkwardly, nodding her head. "I suppose that's better than reckless murder," the girl muttered. "I suppose you... feed from the people you kill?"

Assa nodded her head. "I do admit, compared to some other flesh-feeders I've met before, and I've met a few of them, mind, you're one of the more... polite and courteous ones, if you don't mind my saying."

Assa nodded her head. "Thank you, Sir," she murmured, almost gracefully. "I don't intend any disrespect in what I say, but... wouldn't your willingness to give your 'herd' a choice in the matter make you that bit more dangerous? I mean, the last vampire I encountered wouldn't have given me a choice had he got a hold of me, but since you're so polite and charming, I'd say it draws people in and makes them feel safe. Am I wrong?"

Assa "I hadn't thought of it last night, I admit it took a night of restless recuperation to come to the conclusion. The more I thought of it, though, the more I realized how uncomfortable I was - when you first bit, I flinched. I knew you were going to stop, or at least you had said you would, and I respected you enough to believe you were telling the truth, but my subconscious still made me recoil. After a bit of consideration into that, I came to the conclusion that it was because I didn't really trust you at all, I just assumed I should... If that makes any sense."

Assa "That's a bit of a loosing situation for me, either way - I either allow you to continue on with the feeding, or I don't. If I do allow you, you'll be fine and happy, but I'll still spend at least seven hours stuck in a bed sleeping off my recovery. If I don't let you, there's always that chance I'll get to see why you're so dangerous. I'll have to think about it," she said - oh, and she was very serious, very, very much so. Assa had to weigh the pros against the cons, after all, what with the amount of time she had to spend recovering, and the lack of benefit to her.

Assa quirked a grin at the man, nodding her head. "Of course - I have a question, though, deathly important if I'm to make a decision, I'd assume. How often would you need or want to... that?"

Character Portrait: Assa Assa says,
"Four or five times a week I could manage, but like you said, I'd be able to do nothing else but sleep for recovery," she mused, eyebrows raising just a small degree at the sight of Christopher's fangs. "Question is how does it benefit me?"

Assa "The benefit is I have a choice?" she asked, eyebrows furrowed. "I suppose, maybe two or three times a week wouldn't be a lot, perhaps more if it was absolutely necessary for you... Thing is I'd never been bitten before you, so I've no idea how much I could handle in one week, let alone for some form of contracted and planned time..."

Assa "People would rather you inconspicuously murdered for your meals than hear two people discuss a perfectly legal way of feeding without violence. If you can't see it, it doesn't bother you and what not," Assa said, shaking her head.

Assa smiled at Christopher, of course her naivety pushing her to believe that no murder meant no violence, although for how long wasn't certain. "So you are a vampire then, or are you some other kind of flesh-feeder?"

Assa "Charming isn't a word I'd use for most vampires I've met, and the old-fashioned values might mean that you've just come from a homerealm like mine. The fangs, however, they do tend to lead you to think 'vampire' more than anything, I'll grant you that."

Assa considered those around her for a moment. "Okay. We'll do it, then, the mutual feeding. I'm just gonna have to find a benefit for myself in this... thing," she said, nodding towards Christopher. "Sound okay?"

Assa "Agreeable for you, you mean, I've still not heard a benefit for me - I mean sure, it felt somewhat... numb, but it wasn't anything I need," the 'shifter hummed. "But I'm a nice person, and I know folks like you need to be fed once in a while, and I'm like a refillable water bottle," she said, shaking her head.

Assa caught the change - what kind of watcher would she be if she didn't? - and gave a slightly distrustful look. "I'm sure," the girl murmured, a not exactly real smile on her face. "You're excused."

Assa turned at the sound of her name, smile on her lips before she'd even seen the man for who he was. "It's nice to see you again, too, Yuber, sir," she grinned, that telling hint of a blush already sneaking across her cheeks. "How have you been? I mean, what with how suddenly you left earlier, I thought something might've been up?"

The girl smiled with a bit of a nervous laugh - he'd kissed her hand! "Sorry, Yuber, I forget," she added with a sheepish grin. "As long as nothing was wrong, then that's okay, right? And you say it was your work? What kind of job do you have? If you don't mind my asking, I mean."

Assa "A doctor? My uncle was a doctor," the girl nodded. "What field do you specialize in, or are you like a general practitioner? My uncle used to work in forensic science and did autopsy and biopsy appointments for the police and private companies, but now he just does general surgery," Assa said, smiling whilst attempting to cover up a blush. "Not that you have to answer that, I mean, I know some people don't like talking about themselves, but..."
