Description

========================================================================================================================================

Image

Name: Atrix Akir, last of the Akir Clan.

Age: Ten

Nicknames: Ace, Nerd, Wiz-kid, Bloodbathed (in reference what happened in his past)

Occupation: Astrius Academy Student

Magic Class: Caster, Spiritualist, Summoner, Magus Warrior

Height: Short

Weight: Practically negligible, since his eating habits are bad. As in, he can get so engulfed in research he forgets to eat, and then wolfs down a big meal. ANd although he does remain grounded, even with all those factors, there are times where he seems significantly and unrealistically lighter.

Magical Ability: Advanced

Experience: Low

Weapon Ability: Decent

Eye Color: Blue

Hair color: Blonde

Appearance: (See image)

Weapon(s): His staff, Yasela.

Spirit Animal: Griffon

Equipment: Countless Magic Tomes, Research Notes and Tools, and other gizmos he made or uses. He also has a pair of goggles he may use as well.

Personality: Atrix can be a bit all over the place, but tends to be a very hardworking boy due to what happened to him and his family in the past. Atrix can be shy at some times, brave at others. However, there is also a determination in his eyes you can clearly see...and a great power that lays under Atrix.

History: Atrix was born into a nomadic clan of magic users, the Akir clan. This resulted in him too having great potential in magic. However, one day, a horrible catastrophe happened, some sort of break down in a magic that was being used, and as a result everyone in the Akir clan died except for, or because of, him. It is currently unclear, but he now resides at Astrius Academy, learning more about and perfecting his magic in honor of the family he lost.

=========================================================================================================================================

Stats: (Experimental "Stat" system I came up with for measuring character abilities and powers. Anything after a - is a part of the stat above that does not have a -, and only the ones that matter need to be put)

Strength: Low

Endurance: Moderate
-Pain Tolerance: Extreme. Please note this only lets him tolerate it, it still hurts like hell.
-Magic Resistance: Extreme

Magic Power: Outragously high.
-Immunity bypass: Through sheer force of power, he can overcome immunies to magic, which is strange since he is a more tactical based person.
-Magic Sickness: Atrix has a seemingly never ending mana pool. However, all bodies feel stress from action, even magic. If he bypasses his limits, he will experience a period of sickness, of which the duration and intensity are random but usually related to how far he exceeded his limits.

Intelligence: High
-Self Awareness: Low, he tends to dive into things and forget about himself, his body, and his own safety.
-Intelligence about Magic: Unbelievably high

Wisdom: ...questionable....
-Self Safety: Decent enough, but other people would be concerned as they don't see the calculations he made beforehand to determine "This should be enough".

Dexterity: High

Charisma: Outragously High
-Sole Survivor: Due to his past, when people learn about it, even the most rotten of people might be at least a little sympathetic...even more so, if it doesn't cost them much or anything at all.
-Appearance: His looks can cause feelings of sympathy, compassion, and more (though going too far may end in death) towards him. In the school, for his age group, he is considered one of the five "treasures" of the Girl's Dorm...
-Demon King Blood: An unknown power in those that inherit the Demon King's Blood....wait, WHAT?!?!....anyways, that cause people to be drawn to them, like them, and adore them, sometimes even worshipping them and crowning them Demon King.

Additional Traits:
Gifted in Magic: Atrix can use various types of magic, more then most can do. Although he mainly uses techniques that fall under Caster, Spiritualist, Summoner, or Magus Warrior in public, he also does enchanting, divination, and other things.
Tech Genius: Atrix is not just gifted in magic, he can use tech too. However, its not as good as his magic ability.
Demon King Blood: EHHHHHHHH?! Well, anyways, this tends to grant immortality once they reach a certain age, though it can vary by a few years, it is always before they develop. This is because, the ones who inherit the Demon King Blood also become sterile unless temporarily manipulated through extreme measures. In exchange, they become immortal with immense power. Atrix himself is unaware he possesses Demon King Blood, and there is no test that allows one to confirm it either.

Atrix found himself running along the path wearing his usual clothing, sort of. He had his shoes held in his mouth with his socks, and he was just finished with pulling his shorts on. As for why he was like this, it was an unfortunate result of testing a new Warp Gate design. It had worked...sort of. First it sent living matter, then non living after. Clearly this was a flaw in the filter, which prevented matter from getting mixed.

His face was still a bit red, but Atrix was already throwing himself into the problem. "No way anyone would want a warp gate that makes people naked...no, the bullies might. To use on me".

Atrix was not the most popular person on campus, apparently he had gained a bit of ire from the older boys for one reason or another. He himself had no clue it was because he attracted attention from the girls and it was jealousy. He was too involved with his experiments to notice, and had no real interest in that.

He had even failed to learn the campus map properly yet, and ended up getting totally lost near one building. He decided to stop and put on his shoes and socks, while looking totally lost.

Meeko found his way to the school with little issue. He made his way to the main office. He knew he'd have to sign up and hopefully he would be accepted at the academy. He was pleased to see not only children as students but adults were studying there as well. He was thrilled that no one seemed to care about the fact that he was Felinoid and no one tried to pet him or treat him like a pet of any kind.

As he walked the long halls He noticed a kid with shoes and socks in his mouth, not much younger than himself, as he sat down to put the socks and shoes on. The child seemed to be distraught as he hurried to get his shoes on. Meeko smiled at the child and waved. He didn't say anything, as he didn't wish to delay the boy any longer than he already was. He continued to walk the halls, his tail swishing absentmindedly behind him. He finally reached the door of the principal's office and he knocked hoping the principal was in today.

Atrix noticed the boy waving at him, and that it seemed like he was some sort of beastkin, but Atrix was in such a hurry that he didn't pay much attention to it. After all, he was going to pick up his new curriculum, and he did have to see the Headmaster at least once. Atrix did not know how, but somehow he was able to meet with every student as they joined. It didn't mean much, but he liked to get a feel for the person.

He was technically enrolled with a schedule and everything, but he had to meet the headmaster still. He didn't even know who his roommate was yet, if he had one. Or two. The rooms were pretty nice though. However...Atrix was hopelessly lost, and somehow no one was around after that boy disappeared. Atrix considered to go and look for him while he waited.

Meanwhile, the moment Meeko went to knock on the door, it would seemingly lunge out where his hand got close, and try to suck him through the door! Traveling through would have a weird, almost slimy feel, as it felt like the entire door was feeling his body with its liquidy and slime-like movements. It took only about thirty seconds, but it seemed far longer then it should for a door that should have been thin. Furthermore, part of the slime it secreted was the one that seemed to cause increased good feeling, and stimulation.

It would then deposit Meeko on the ground, in front of the headmaster. It then spat out his shoes, and the door seemed to turn back to normal.

"So, how did it feel?! My new door! I thought the old one was boring, so I turned it into a sort of slime golem creature! And...ah, did it drool a little? Would you like a towel, or maybe just an entire change of clothes?"

The Headmaster, Simon Azler, spoke to him with an innocent smile. He loved using magic for doing silly stuff like that, and had a playful spirit.

"Hmmm....I don't recognize you...which means, you are either here to finish your enrollment process, or start it, correct? After all, while I certainly cant deny students based on personality, I like to get a feel for each one. Oh, and of course, as the head doctor for the Academy as well, I have to give each student a physical checkup unless they give me an all clear from a registered doctor....and even then, I still might have to do it just in case. I was expecting someone else though..."

Suddenly, the door began to react again...and after awhile, it spit out Atrix who seemed to be dizzy and confused.

"Hello? Can someone point me in the direction of the headmaster's office?"

Atrix had gotten so lost, he didn't even realize this was the headmaster's office.

"I see....my name is Simon Azler by the way, and I am in charge of this campus. Now, uhh, boy, is it possible my Slime Golem Door is a bit too extreme?"

Meeko shook himself off much like most animals would to get the excess slime off his body. He was just about to answer the Headmaster's question when the door reacted and spat the kid out he had seen earlier. This time, however, Meeko was the one putting his shoes back on. He didn't wear socks as his furry paw-like feet got too hot if he did. After pulling them on and retying them, he looked back to the headmaster.

"My name is Meeko Maow. I heard that your academy was accepting students that were... different. People with powers and that sort of thing. I would like to join and learn more about how to use my powers and more about magic, if you would accept me that is. I have no family or money if there is a tuition." Meeko said sheepishly. The headmaster was intimidating even while being friendly. Meeko could feel the immense power rolling off him in waves and the thought of being examined for a physical brought back terrible memories of being experimented on by the scientist. His tail began twitching at the tip uncontrollably at the thought of being examined.

"Meeko Maow, huh? And, then you over there must be Atrix Akir, right?"

"Yeah!"

While Atrix was standing up, he responded, but the headmaster for the moment looked up closer at Meeko Maow. He was being very observant, although he looked a bit eccentric this way as well. However....his mind was working at lightspeed.

The way he acted towards the physical just now...a bit too intense at least for normal shyness, something bad happened? No family pretty much supports that, but he does have a last name...self made? I see, might be a bit of a loner type possibly? Anyways, as for the bad things....although they are more common on this planet as Beastkin Cat People, I don't think he is native to the planet. But he does seem special...special powers...hunted down by people who wanted to make use of his gifts...or maybe, scientists who did this to him in the first place? I can't narrow it down any further then a few various options, but I have enough to know what I need to do...

Atrix was a bit curious about what was going on, and moved in closer...but when he realized what was going on, it was too late for him to escape! The headmaster came and embraced Meeko in a hug, and Atrix accidentally got caught up in it.

"It's okay...everything is going to be fine. With your energy levels, it should be good".

The headmaster spoke in a voice that was smoothing and warming, showing some experience in this.

"I am not sure exactly what happened to make you react like how you just did, but you don't need to worry. I won't harm you. You see, we have people go under these physicals because as the doctor, and the headmaster, I want to know everything I can about my precious students, to protect their health, to assist them learn, to make sure that no evil wizards are trying to use them as suicide bombers by forcibly tattooing Eldritch Symbols onto them and make them explode via remote control, which would be nullified when passing through that door. I simply care a great deal for my students....even if it cost me getting any girlfriends so far...and I said that because I simply wanted to check on your health".

Something unnecessary was added in there, and then thought of something else.

"If you want, I could give Atrix a physical right in front of you first! I mean, I kinda noticed this before, but Meeko is new, and Atrix has zero roommates in his room, not a single one, so if your sharing a room and your both boys, should be fine right?"

"Wha...what?! How do you call that fine!"

In truth, it was an honest suggestion and question the headmaster had asked, but he also did it to help Meeko who might have reacted badly from that by making a bit of fun.

Meeko wasn't expecting the hug. It had been so long, if ever, that he had received any form of positive touch from someone. His multi-colored eyes began to water with happiness. He hugged back as he was squeezed tightly. "I think I will be okay." Meeko assured both of them. "There's no need to do that on my account. I don't want anyone to get embarrassed. I'm just a little... nervous around doctors. You're right, something happened and that's how I got some of my powers. My magic abilities are natural to my species, but underdeveloped." He spoke with a little more confidence in his voice. "I would look forward to being your roommate, though. You're the first kid I've met that didn't pull my tail or try to pet me." He smiled at Atrix.

"I still don't understand a lot. What kind of power levels do you mean? My magic or my genetic powers?" He knew that there were different levels of ability for both magic and other powers, but he had no idea how powerful he was or what his potential power could be. He was not used to being in a place where people cared about him and as such he was still reluctant to go into all the details of his escape from the dark vile planet where he was tortured.

"I see...that is good. And yes, one might say it is unrefined....but trust me, I see great potential in your magic. I am a master wizard, after all. I can do everything. And..."

Suddenly, when he flicked his hand, two folders appeared in front of him. One was written with Atrix's name, the other was blank. However, he waved his hand over it and it began to be filled with details. At the same time, he smiled at them.

"I think I can handle the rest. We can say that is it for the interviews...but the issue is, is that I still have nothing on either of your medical records. That is one of the reasons I wanted to do a physical, to make sure you didn't have any abnormalities. After all, I do need the blood samples from it in order to tell your blood type. Ah, I am sure you both know about blood types right? Wouldn't it be problematic if someone with type O blood was to be given type AB? Completely incompatible, right?"

Actually, he was sure he had heard cases where people die from that. If he had their medical records, everything would be fine. But Atrix's family and friends had been a nomadic tribe that got wiped out, and Meeko had no history period. If he didn't do this, it would be bad for their health. There would also be the potential lawsuits, but it was mostly their health he was considered about.

"For two people with zero medical backgrounds, unless you two can conjure up accurate, real records I can use from somewhere, anywhere, that can give me this information...I mean, I would hate to discover a student had asthma AFTER the asthma attack!"

Of course, maybe it was from the nature of the academy, he did like input. As a result, through his form of words, if Atrix or Meeko could think of a reasonable solution, any reasonable solution that worked anyways, they could get out of any potential embarrassing situations for now.

"I'll do the physical, I just didn't want to embarrass Atrix by you doing his in front of me to make me less anxious. I can go first with Atrix in the other room, then when you're done he can get his." Meeko explained. He wasn't worried about him doing anything bad to him at this point. "I'll give you any information you need if I have it. I don't even know what my blood type is." He admitted sheepishly.

"Well, I wont force you, but you are roommates now so its going to happen eventually..." the headmaster said, musing a little. That said, given the door he had for his office, this sort of thing was nothing. After Atrix moved to the other room, Dr. Azler had him strip down and he did the physical, as well as the important drawing blood step.

Afterwards, he did the same for Atrix, having him get naked, doing the examination, and then drawing blood. Of course, one would naturally feel incredibly embarrassed for all this, but Simon never once stepped out of line...though he made some verbal jabs to be comedic. Once they were both dressed again, he handed them two roomkeys.

"Alright then! Here are your room keys!" he told them as he handed them their room keys. "Please be careful not to lose them, and uhhh...well, don't be afraid of each other. You are both fine physical specimens with nothing to be ashamed of".

By now, it should have been clear...the principle is a kind hearted, whimsical, wise man....who also had a pranksterish side.

After all, just look at his front door!

"And feel free to decorate the dorm room as you see fit, so long as you don't break anything!"

Meeko did his best to not cringe too much at the physical. The needle caused him to tense up as he drew the blood. But after all that was over he was still excited to start here. He took the key that the headmaster gave them for their new dorm room. He could tell it was a special type of key. He could feel the enchantment on it. Meeko was beginning to think he was sensitive to the feel of magic. "Sweet." Meeko said as he put the key into his pocket.

"So I guess we're off to the dorms now." He said to Atrix. "By any chance do you have a map?" He asked. Realizing that he had no idea where anything was in the school, he figured it would be a good idea to look around the campus after getting settled in the dorm room. It shouldn't take him too long to do so, given that he only had a backpack full of clothes to his name. He took the map that the headmaster gave him and he followed it to the boys dorm rooms. He looked at the number on the key. "Room B 1-34" He read off of the key. "So that's B for boy's dorms first floor room 34." he deciphered as he walked down the hall, Atrix was still close behind him. They got to the room and Meeko slid the key into the lock. There was a bit of a chiming sound when the key unlocked the door.

The room was pretty nice. It wasn't fancy, but there were two beds, two desks and a nice view from the window. Also there was a decent computer on each of the desks. There were also a few technical amenities that Meeko didn't recognize. "Yeah we may have to decorate, this is pretty drab." He smiled down at Atrix as they looked around the room. "So when do we get our class schedules?" He asked suddenly realizing he didn't get his beforehand.

Atrix ended up following Meeko, since he seemed to have bad luck with directions. Perhaps, it was a side effect of never living in one place for too long, as his clan had been nomads even in this modern era, Atrix did not have much sense of direction. Of course, you would think due to their frequent traveling one would develop a great sense of direction. Atrix's father, Dashion Akir, had a legendary sense that Atrix had not inherited.

There was a reason for that though, regarding Atrix's blood heritage, but that was besides the point. Although he had spent some time, reading through the logs of everyone, he had not gone through much yet. He even had the Clan Leader's notebook, which was passed down from Clan Leader to Clan Leader. As Atrix was the sole survivor of his clan, he was officially the Clan Leader now.

"This is nice. Much better then the temporary arrange...wait, is that my stuff?"

Atrix had arrived weeks ago, but because some paperwork was still going through, and because he found a great lab and sort of isolated himself there, he had yet to actually get an official room. And surely enough, sitting on one side of the room, his side apparently, was all of his belongings...including...

"Ah, its that thing! I still need to adjust it!"

Atrix immediately saw his prototype Warp Gate Pad he had created, sitting in the center of the room. However, it appeared someone altered the destination of where it would teleport to, as Atrix noticed it would only teleport them to the center of this dorm room. However, Atrix still had not figured out the solution. He was about to explain it, when Meeko brought up schedules.

"Ahhhhh! I signed up for all my classes already, but the entire reason I went there in the first place was to get my schedule!" Atrix realized, panicking. The entire reason for going there in the first place had been to get schedules. He started to head back, but noticed there were two pieces of paper pinned to the door...they were their schedules. And there was also a note.

"I gave Meeko mostly the same schedule as you Atrix, more or less. Please help him along. Love, Headmaster Azler".

"...that guy might be a bit eccentric, but he sure does work fast and is pretty intelligent".

Meeko looked over his schedule after Atrix gave it to him. It looked pretty basic. He set it down on the desk on his side of the room then began to unpack what little he had in his back pack. He couldn't help but notice the stack of books on his desk. He looked them over and it was clear they were the text books for his classes. He put his clothes into the dresser and then plopped down on his bed. It was soft and comfy or at least the blanket on the bed was. Meeko had never had his own bed before and usually had to sleep on the hard ground. His cat-like qualities began to show themselves as he started to kneed the blanket with his claws and a purring noise began to rumble from his chest.

After curling up in a ball and kicking off his shoes he looked up at Atrix. "So I guess we should get to know each other, huh? I saw the stuff scrawled about you on the sign back there. You've only been here a while and you're already popular with the girls huh? Must be nice to an extent, the only reason I've ever been popular is because of being a cat-boy. But that doesn't usually last long, once they try to pet me or pull my tail to see if it's real. I have a habit of scratching, but it's not like I use my venom on them." He spoke as he remembered the first people he met after escaping the lab. It was a group of teenage boys making fun of him for being nude. One of them pulled his tail thinking Meeko was in a costume. Meeko lost it and scratched the hell out of the boys. He shook his head to bring himself back to the current moment.

"What kind of special powers do you have? Or are you just like super smart?"

"So, for the first day of the week...Magic Theory, 8AM to 9:45AM, in the Arcanium Observatory...Core Subjects, 10AM to 12:45 PM in the Central Campus Building...after that, we are on break until 3PM for Advanced Mathmagics, that goes to 4:45PM, and then that day is done. For Tuesday....its Core Subjects, 8AM to 10:45AM, and then at 11AM until 12:45PM, its....Physical Development. There is Gym shorts, T shirts, and sneakers as well that will respawn in your drawers if destroyed during class...wait, huh?"

Atrix felt like it felt odd they would say if the clothes were destroyed, and not that they were injured, and found a subsection.

"When doing magic combat training against each other, against an instructor, or against a full on attack using the training simulation, it was decided to keep around a magic from ancient times. As the academy wanted to make the students try their hardest during training like it was life and death, without actually a threat to their lives, a spell was created...that would mimic any spell they thought of but instead it would only destroy their clothing. And so, instead of taking practice attacks thinking they would not die, this caused everyone to avoid any and all attacks even during the 'safe' practices....uhhhh".

After reading it allowed, Atrix had a red face. In truth, while Atrix could fight with magic, and his magic was powerful, he didn't have much fighting experience. So, in Atrix's mind, this was humiliating if instead of doing precise attacks at his head and heart, they did power attacks that blew away everything.

"It is recommended students keep their spare change of clothes with them during Physical Development".

However, it should be noted that not EVERY physical development would involve such things, as Atrix read off. Some days, it would be like a normal Gym class. Others, they would be fighting monsters. Most of the time, it would be a mix though, but duels were not that common among the mix days.

"Anyways, the rest of Tuesday after that is off. Wendsday is the same as Tuesday. Thursday its Monday's schedule, only instead of Advanced Mathmagic's its Advanced Sciences. And on Friday, its...another Physical Development starting at 8AM and ending at 9:45AM, then its Magic Theory at 12 Noon until 1:45 PM, and then at 2PM till 3:45PM its The World of Origin: How to Survive class".

After reading all that, Atrix's eyes looked back on the Physical Development classes, which were like Gym but more themed to Origin's standard, walked up to Meeko and looked right into his eyes. When he was like this, it was definently possible for even Meeko, without any actual feelings of his own, to understand why the girls loved Atrix.

"Meeko. Before we get into that conversation. Let us get one thing clear. We need to, absolutely, without a doubt, hone our dodging ability immediately".

After that, he looked at the schedule again, threw it at the large night stand between their beds, and kicked off his shoes and socks before launching himself at his bed, landing on his back. It was more comfortable then what he was used to, partially because he was a former nomad, and sighed.

"Right, I don't think I ever introduced my full name did I? My name is Atrix Akir, I guess people do call me a magic and tech genius...most of these classes seem like fundamental stuff, but I guess since I don't have an official school transcript since the leader of my clan died before writing it up, they need to see my full knowledge before they place me in advanced classes....unless, these are advanced classes? Then I am...."

Suddenly, something ticked in Atrix's head...something Meeko said before ticked in his brain, causing his body to shoot up strait into a sitting position and stare at Meeko.

"Hold on, what do you mean popular with the girls? What scribbles?!?! Are you telling me there was an actual reason why the bullies keep targeting me!?!"

Meeko laughed a little bit. "Dodging isn't an issue for me, see?" He sat up like a human and put his hand on the nightstand between them. He slowly pushed his hand down through the nightstand and out through the front. He waved and then pulled it out. "I can become intangible. If that isn't good enough I can do this." In an instant he turned into a cloud of vapor that looked like smoke. The smoke drifted over to Atrix's bed and he took his physical form once more landing on the bed next to Atrix.

"The only trouble is I can't use my powers and magic at the same time. So if I'm intangible or in my smoke form, I can't cast any spells." He sighed. He put an arm around Atrix's shoulders when he asked about the girls. "Seriously? Haven't you looked in a mirror lately? You're freaking adorable. And the scribbling is on the sign outside at the entrance to the dorm. But if that's the reason you got people bullying you, you're lucky. When you get older you're gonna be glad you look as cute as you do and coming from a cute cat-boy you know that says something." He gave Atrix a big hug. "And if they get too mean with you, I could always give them a good scratching." Meeko smiled big showing his sharp cat teeth.

"Oh...I see...lucky~" Atrix mentioned, somewhat jealous. After all, he was bullied quite a bit already. He would definitely be targeted, and to the point where he would get totally embarrassed. So he would need to become the best at dodging ever. His dexterity and agility were already excellent, so he figured it would not be impossible...but, it would be difficult. "I am going to be embarrassed completely...but wait, hold on. What if you are targeted by magic or disruptor weapons that can still effect you while in those states?"

Atrix brought up good points, but then Meeko said something that made him blush from embarrassment. Even if he tended to dive into his work, and was ignorant of these things, he was still a boy so it was at least a bit embarrassing to be called adorable. "So wait...am...am I really? And so, the girls like me..but the boys are all jealous then?! No wonder I have not made any friends yet! But...your joking right?! I look cool right?! Not adorable but cool?!" If anyone looked at Atrix, even to make him feel better, they would find it extremely difficult to call Atrix cool, and be much more willing to call him cute...to the point where most people, if not all people, instead of consoling him, would just outright tell him the truth.

As Meeko hugged Atrix while smiling at him, Atrix started to show a sight similar to what Meeko showed the headmaster...

"It's been so long...since I last got a hug from anyone...still...cool and not adorable though..."

After all, Atrix's entire nomad clan got slaughtered, and to this date no one knows what did it. So he started to cry, which made him look even less cool and more adorable.

Meeko thought about his questions regarding his abilities. "Well I know that magic can be sketchy. It doesn't seem to effect my ability use my powers, but spells and other things could effect the powers themselves I guess. I've never encountered anyone using disruptor weapons so I don't know how those would effect me. I guess dodging practice is still a good idea after all. Good thing I'm agile." He joked.

"Yes, you're cool... and adorable. And that's why the other boys are mean, they're jealous that girls pay attention to you and ignore them." He said as he hugged him closer seeing he was crying. "But you were wrong about one thing. You made one friend at least. I'm gonna be your friend." He said like it was a fact, not like he was asking. It was as though he had big brother instincts kicking in that he didn't realize he had. He didn't even know if he had any younger siblings, he was sold to the scientists at such a young age. Meeko didn't know much about getting girls attention or how all that worked. He knew that he didn't really seem to care if girls were interested in him or not, he was only twelve, but he knew that the boys that were close to his age were already trying to get the attention of girls they liked. Meeko was content, however, to just live in the moment and have fun.

"That's...nice...thanks...I have not had a friend in a long time...after they all died..."

Atrix let something slip, given he had so far never actually mentioned anything about what happened to him, or why he was here, to Meeko in the first place. So him mentioning that for the first time was just a tad bit significant. That moment sort of held on for awhile, until finally Atrix stopped crying.

"Alright...I suppose we should get unpacked..." Atrix said, as he stood up...

...and felt his foot land on the familiar pattern of a Warp Gate.

Atrix jumped back just in time, but the Warp Gate loaded itself with his mana and was now primed...the first person who stepped on it would find themselves teleported into the center of dorm room, naked, because Atrix had yet to fix the filter in the Warp Gate that was supposed to prevent people and swords, for instance, from mixing together. Well, it worked, but it would first materialize living matter, and then a few minutes later materializing the non-living matter.

Atrix honestly had no idea if any other parts of the Warp Gate was functional. Would it suck them both in, and teleport Meeko and Atrix both even if only one of them triggered it? Would it pull someone into it...which meant it was already too late to run...and force it to warp five feet to the left, where the center of their room was. Or, would it wait for someone to get close enough to warp before anything, and it just meant they had to avoid that specific area.

He thought he should probably explain that to Meeko, as well as a few of his other side projects, so that Meeko did not get curious and trigger anything bad. He turned around, unaware of how Meeko had reacted so far.

He figured though, that if the two of them left right now to get dinner, by the time they returned it would definitely be out of mana.

Meeko went quiet at the comment he made about all his people dying. "Oh, wow. I can't even imagine that. It's one thing to be ripped away from everything you know, but it's something completely different to have all of them die." He continued to hold him until he was finished crying.

Meeko stood up while Atrix did the same, but when Atrix stepped on the Warp Gate, it suddenly came to life as it seemed to power itself on with energy from Atrix himself. Meeko's fur and hair stood on end and he jumped to his own bed, his back arched, as he let out a noise that sounded like a growl and a hiss combined. He felt the magic coming off the thing and it was an odd, startling feeling that made him a little uneasy. "What is that thing and why does it ... feel like that?" He asked. He wasn't sure how to put it into words or even if anyone else could feel the power rippling off of the gate, but he was certainly sensitive to it and the feeling of some of the magics in this school.

"It's...broken...or...flawed. Well, it works...kind of. Not sure how, but the headmaster set that thing to transport anything that steps on it into the center of our room but....its flawed, because the filter is sort of broken. Sort of. The filter stops the warp gate from fusing things that go through it, like people and the swords they carry becoming one? It prevents that. But, after you teleport, for some reason only living matter teleports first...and then non-living, like clothes, a few minutes later..."

Atrix stepped away from his. All of his bags had been moved out of the way, but that thing now rested between their baggage, and Meeko's bed, and them. Atrix had the closer bed though, so there was no risk, but if either of them tried to cross the room...

"So, lets go get some dinner!" Atrix said, pretending like there was no problem in the slightest, and began to head towards the cafeteria/kitchen area for the students. Atrix did not put his shoes or socks back on, because he saw several people when they entered the building before heading up the stairs to the "first floor" (which apparently did not include the ground floor) walking in just T shirts and shorts, or some even just shorts, and there were even a few boys clad just in towels heading towards the bathing area.

Since it was the boy's dorm, it was only boys and no girls were allowed inside.

Anyways, most of the floor was carpeting, so it was good. Eventually, they found their way to the cafeteria area, which was surprisingly well cleaned and maintained, and had different types of cleaning robots and golems working together.

"Time to eat!"

Meeko calmed himself after Atrix explained what the object was. But he wasn't thrilled about the feeling he was getting from the equipment. He had already unpacked what little he had, so he was quick to join Atrix to get some food. He hadn't bothered to put his own shoes back on either, but having cat paws, it didn't bother Meeko much, the shoes didn't fit his feet properly anyway it was more to fit in than anything else.

He walked in behind Atrix and looked around. It was definitely not something he was used to. He saw the buffet style line and all the amazing food that was being placed there by all the robots and golems. He grinned looking at the food, his tail swishing happily as he got into the line. He grabbed a tray and loaded a plate up with chicken and fish prepared in a lot of different ways. His tail snagged a bowl of chocolate ice cream as well as he went to find a seat. He hadn't had a good meal like this in a long time and being able to eat like this for every meal was something he could get used to easily.

"Oh damn, this is good stuff." He said muffled through a mouthful of food. "I had heard about this fried chicken stuff, but I never dreamed it would taste so good."

By the time Atrix had finished getting his food, one might question if all of that was for him. After all, there had to be enough food on his place to fill up two stomachs for someone his size at least. However, it was at the point he sat down...he began to devour everything in front of him at an inconceivable rate. It was as if he was the fastest eater in the whole school!

No, at that speed, he might very well be.

He was definitely eating a volume of food normal humans his size could not eat. It was as if his stomach was bigger on the inside then the outside.

Notably, no one had yet to come near him other then Meeko till now, even if some glares were occasionally sent his way. But out of them all, one finally started walking towards him. It was a man of about 15 or 16, and he looked angry at Atrix.

"Oi brat, what do you think your doing, attracting my girlfriend's atten...!!!!"

When his hand reached for Atrix, although notably one might perceive it as going after Atrix's food, he seemed to be repelled by some sort of invisible force. That was one of the wonders of the school, Atrix's "Don't Bother Me While Eating" barrier. It seemed to be a magic that automatically manifested while he was eating, that repelled any and all people who might potentially steal his food*.

*Meeko is immune to this barrier as the barrier does not repel people Atrix has positive feelings for, like friends.

"Huh?" Atrix wondered as he finished devouring his food, and looked at Meeko. "Did something happen? Why is there a guy slumped against a wall over there?"

It appears Atrix truly can miss things that happen around him, from the fact he was considered to be one of the Five Treasures of the GIrl's Dorm that Meeko noticed instantly, to the fact he has been unconsciously Auto-Casting Magic while eating.

Meeko barely looked up until he heard the other boy make a comment. He oddly didn't feel the magic barrier that Atrix had cast, though if he knew more about magic he would have realized that he had subconsciously made his own barrier and that the two had merged to become twice as powerful. Meeko rarely got food like this so he was quite possessive of it when he did get it.

Meeko was bared his teeth as he heard the older boy get angry. And when he reached for Atrix's food he turned to growl, only to see the boy go flying and hit the wall next to their table. Meeko was confused, but assumed it was some sort of anti-fighting enchantment the school had in place. He shrugged it off and went back to eating until Atrix asked about what happened.

"I think there must be some sort of anti-fighting spell or enchantment. He was mad about something then went to grab your food and went flying until he hit the wall." Meeko said with a mouthful of food. He then noticed that there were others staring at the two of them and forced himself to swallow his last bite. It was almost as though they had done something that was incredibly shocking based on the looks on their faces. "Then again, it may not have been an anti-fighting enchantment." He spoke with a little bit of shock now in his own voice. He looked down at Atrix with concern. "Did... did we do this?" He couldn't help but give a little bit of a smile looking at his big eyes seeming so innocent. It was going to be hard to resist the urge to pinch those cheeks while he was staying here.

Atrix had no idea what had happened, so he just looked at Meeko with a bit of confusion.

"Huh? What do you mean? Strange, oddly enough no one usually bothers me while eating. Probably because they are eating too though".

Atrix had no idea what Meeko was talking about, so he shrugged it off as he finished his plate. No one seemed to question that Atrix ate more food then he should possibly be able to fit in his stomach.

He looked at the clock, and looked back at Meeko.

"So its probably not done yet...should we go to the Game Room, Training Room, Baths, or maybe the pool...well, they ask you to wash off before that, so we would have to take a bath still then, and I don't have any swimming suits unless your fine with that..."

As a nomad, Atrix usually swam in rivers and isolated places away from people most of the time, so he was actually used to swimming without one, but he didn't know about Meeko, and there was the chance of people coming to bother him, but that was a risk no matter where they went.

Also, all of their stuff was behind the malfunctioning Warp Gate, so there was that too.

"Anyways, there is also the lounges, quite a few of them, each with their own TV and setup, and also a movie theater somewhere....actually, hey. I am kinda curious. What magic can you use? I can use a lot of different types myself, but I don't think I heard anything about your magic".

Meeko finished eating the last of his food. He stood up and everyone seemed to disregard the boy who was slammed against the wall. Meeko was barely able to keep up with Atrix's trail of choices.

"Honestly, in spite of the stereotypes to the contrary, I would love to go swimming, but my suit is in the room and I know that most people tend to not be okay with public nudity... especially if you have anatomic differences." Meeko said looking down at the ground as they walked. "I guess one of the lounges would be okay, or maybe the game room. I'm interested in seeing what kind of games this place has." He smiled. "I used to watch the kids at the arcades all the time when I was living on the streets. When ever I had extra money after I got food, I'd spend it all at the arcades."

They kept walking down the hall when Atrix asked about his magic. "Well I kinda just know the basics about magic. My species seems to have a natural aptitude for it, but I never got any training so I'm not as far along as most of people would be at my age. I can cast low level spells like healing, invisibility, fire balls, ice shards, wards and the occasional weather control." Meeko said kind of embarrassed that he wasn't father along in his magic studies.
