Operator's Tag: Researcher Alex Cypher
Current Assignment: Head Researcher of Engineering/Site Director of Site-19
Profile: People may call Alex Cypher crazy for his "crackpot" theories. However, he has proven to some that his theories aren't that crazy. Cypher says that his first name is really Alex, but he says his surname is so dangerous, it could destroy the Multiverse. Therefore he chose the name "Alex Cypher" to keep it safe.
His face is sometimes hidden behind a Deadpool costume (As he enjoyed the 2016 film Deadpool so much, he kidnapped the costume designers & made them create a costume for him.). However, those who have seen his face says that he has Black hair, Glasses, a handsome face (More handsome then the entire Foundation staff put together.) & a good looking beard.
Thanks to El-Drago 800 for the fanart of Cypher.
History: Alex C█████ first came to the attention of the Foundation after publishing a engineering essay on a Technology course at W███ K███ C██████, Tonbridge, UK. The essay was a 190 page long study by the name of "On the use of Cybernetics to ████ ███████ ██ █████ █████████".The essay in question referred to the GoI known as "The Church of the Broken God", resulting in the Foundation contacting the individual in order to establish his security risk. When approached, Alex leapt at the chance of joining the Foundation. He was accepted into the Engineering section.
Alex began as a junior researcher, often teased & bullied by almost everyone on the Engineering section. He eventually made friends with Professor Kain Pathos Crow & Dr. Agatha Rights. Together, they made several discoveries into the works of CotBG & their creations. In 2013, Cypher was assigned to SD of Site-19 after the SD in charge was killed in an attack by GoI known as "Serpent's Hand". It was sometime around Early 2014 when Cypher was promoted to Head Researcher of Engineering, much to the annoyance of Head Researcher T██ J██████, who was also up for promotion to HRoE.
Furious, J██████ placed a bounty of $420,000 on Cypher's head. The resulting incident which followed is to be opened for the O5 Council only.
INCIDENT LOG:
On Friday 13th June, 2014, Dr. Alex Cypher was attacked by an armed assassin outside of his research room. Despite receiving a injury in his left knee, Cypher made a full recovery. When interrogated, the assassin said that T██ J██████ had hired him to kill Cypher. After capturing & torturing T██ J██████ on why he had wanted Cypher dead, the assassin was terminated & his body was fed to SCP-682.
(O5 Council note: As of September 2014, Head Researcher T██ J██████ has been removed from his post, demoted to Level 1 personnel & reassigned to SCP-106. Dr. Cypher is recovering & has continued his work on SCP-1633.)
In 2015, Terra was attacked by an alien race who called themselves the "Cybermen". During the attack a majority of Site-19 was destroyed, with Dr. Jack Bright being killed in an explosion, which was when he had possession of SCP-963 ("Immortality"). Despite the efforts of both Terra's Armies & the Foundation, it seemed the Cybermen would win. However, Cypher eventually created a portal gun to travel anywhere in the Multiverse. With it, he took the fight to their Command fleet. With the help of Sierra One (A MTF who are picked for the Foundation's deadliest missions.), Gadget (A rouge Cyberman with Emotions), Dr. Alto Clef (A Senior member of the Foundation) & The Doctor (A Time Lord), they confronted the Cyber-Leader and prevailed in combat with him. However, The Doctor sacrificed himself to prevent the Cyber-Fleet from reaching Terra and establishing a forward base for their plans.
With the defeat of the Cybermen, Dr. Cypher was tasked with destroying all evidence & wiping all traces of the attack from people's memories. Almost 3/4's of Terra are now unaware that there was an Alien attack one year ago. As for Gadget, his memories was reprogrammed & he became a Bounty Hunter. Eventually, he'd setup the Bounty Hunters Guild, but that's another story for another time.
Following this, Cypher went into self-exile after the closure of Site-19 and stayed in Wing City. Some point during his 8 years in Exile, Cypher adopted Emily, a young girl who would later be classed as SCP-040 (Evolutions Child) when her powers began to manifest. Eventually, The Administrator (Who'd been declared MIA during the Cybermen's attack on Terra) tracked down Cypher & persuaded him to return to Site-19 & rebuild it. With Cypher came Emily, who'd began to show signs of mysterious powers after arriving at Site-19.
Now.... The Legend is Reborn.
