A villain.

161 views · last seen in Wing City Library
a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by HitoriRaven

Description

Image

A well-built man, about 6'2, with shoulder-length strawberry blond hair, and strangely crimson eyes. He wears a large metal gauntlet, covered strange markings on his right hand. In addition, a simple .44 Magnum hangs in a holster around his waist, along with a few pouches containing bullets. He is usually dressed in toned down colours of black and dark blue/green, in order to be less visible.

He has a grim face, despite looking about in his mid-twenties.

Personality/History: You'll just have to find out, won't you?

So begins...

The door opened quietly, and a fairly tall man entered on silent footsteps, despite his height. He gave a quick glance around the room of the bar, before spotting his target, along with another woman. They bore a certain resemblance, which led him to believe the lady was his target's mother.

"Fuck." The word passed his lips as the he noticed even more company, which he had not been informed about. For now, he thought it was best to observe. As such, the man simply brushed back some of his strawberry-blond hair, and quickly made his way to an inconspicuous booth, where he had a good view of Midori, Leer, Shiz, and Proto.

"No one told me she had companions. Those fuckers," the man swore again, until he noticed that one of the group had disappeared. Suspecting foul play, he simply waved at a robotic bartender. "Just a glass of whiskey, on the rocks, please," he ordered casually.

People didn't just disappear for no reason, and in the 'business', it was always better to be safe than sorry. Every once in a while, he would look back over towards the group, but not in a manner that attracted attention.

The man stiffened for a second as he heard a sound in the chair across from him. However, he gave no other indication that he had noticed. Armored fingers clinked as metal touched glass, and as the man raised it to take a drink, suddenly, he reached down for his revolver. The gun came up, aimed about where Proto's chest would be, if he had one. "I don't 'ppreciate people spyin on me, ya know. It ain't polite."

"They're pretty loud, spy. And this is a bar, if I ain't mistaken. It shouldn't be weird that I'm lookin' at th' only people round here, right? Better question. Why're ya spyin at me. None 'f that observer crap, either." The man cocked back the hammer. "I don't take too well t'people gettin in my business, y'know?"

Despite the gun in his hand, the man still managed to finish taking a sip of the whiskey, his eyes never leaving Proto.

The surge of newcomers caught his attention, though.

The man lowered his gun slightly, leaving it high enough to let Proto know he meant business. "Whatever. Go back t'ya friends, and don't bother me again." He pointed with the gauntleted hand.

He then finally let his eyes wander back towards the group, disguising the observation as looking at the newcomers. He blinked as he watched Shizu pull out a locket that mirrored the one he was supposed to obtain. However, he didn't let his eyes linger and turned back to Proto.

The man snickered, then raised the gun again. "Y'wanna talk 'bout what? Also, don't be gettin cocky, my friend. I'm quite sure I can hurt ya with this."

He shot a Celion a quick glare. "And you. Don't be thinkin ya gonna get closer t'me with that, unless ya want a new hole t'see through."

"Ya wanna try me, and find out? I don't care what ya are, I'm pretty sure I can leave ya hurtin too." The man stared neutrally at Proto. "I toldja already. First, I don't 'ppreciate people pryin into my business. Second, I ain't watchin y'friends, and I dunno where ya'd get that idea. They were rowdy, 'n I looked over to 'em." He shrugged. "If that's watchin, then there are at least three other people who ya should be talkin to. Now git."

"Ya wanna try me? I keep askin. I can fire into ya chest if ya want, and then we'll see if ya can feel pain as well as ya can run ya smart mouth. Now. Once more. Git, or I will fire at ya."

The man's eyes, fixed upon Celion again, and he shrugged. "I ain't got no quarrel with ya, so whatever makes ya leave me alone. I ain't got anythin' better."

The man finally turned his gaze upon the girl. She was his target, but he would wait and see what happened. If she died, then he would be saved the trouble of killing her to get the locket. Similarly, he ignored Celion, content to avoid trouble at the moment.

He was on a mission, not stupid.

"'pologies, ma'am. I didn't mean t'startle ya. I was just lookin in that general direction." He holstered his gun, and raised his hands. "Ya friend was botherin me, so I was just checkin his group out." He offered a small smile, as sincere as he could manage. The man wasn't looking for trouble quite yet, especially not with the amount of people in the bar at the time.

The man simply smirked at Midori as he changed. With a quirked eyebrow, he mouthed, "Is there a problem?" It would be stupid to shout, as there was a robot with a gun, in a full bar. Drawing trouble would've been counter-productive to the mission.

"Well, missy. Ya did mention talkin more later, but I didn't know if ya were talkin to me. After all, last night was pretty crazy. For me, at least." He pointed towards his left eye, which was now silver. He grinned at Nist. "But in any case, I don't mind if either way."

In an instant, the man with the gun and gauntlet saw his chance. He swiftly stood, and took off at a dash towards Midori, easily avoiding people and furniture. While she was distracted, he grabbed the girl and took off for the door before the shield blew up. He couldn't have asked for a better distraction.

Sangrei glanced down the row, shaking his head at Nist and Marissa "Flame missy, I wouldn't try it. Are you seeing this guy's guns? Even with all of ya against him, I don't think there's gonna be much left of ya. It'd be best ta just stay out of it. Drink ya drink, ladies."

The man burst out with the young succubus in tow, and quickly got a good head start before sounds of fighting interrupted the silence near the bar. After getting a good start, he ducked into a nearby alley. Luckily, the girl was unconscious, and he quickly searched her for the locket.

The man came up with the locket, yanking it free before Midori let go. This was an easier way. The girl didn't have to die, and he still got his objective. Now, the only thing left to do was to get away. Leer, the boy he'd seen earlier, was an unknown. However, he knew the girl and her mother were both drained, and would only require a little of his attention. In fact, diplomacy might even work, since he hadn't harmed either of them.

Subtly, pocketing the locket, he raised his hands in a gesture of surrender. "Sorry, I thought the girl was someone else. My bad. Look, she's fine. Just let me go 'n there won't be no trouble, kid."

"Well, t'be fair, I just picked her up. Hell, d'ja see the fight in there? I probably saved 'er life. Ya can ask bleedin' lady over there." Before Leer could make up his mind, Illys had already brushed past the man, and the mother and daughter. He stepped quickly down the street before breaking out into a full run, zig-zagging so any projectiles they might fire after him would be harder to aim and hit with.

As soon as he realized there was nothing flying at him, Illys quickly pulled out the locket as he ran. He spared a quick glance back, and noticed that only the young girl was chasing him. Strange. The boy who had seemed so concerned was also not following. Upon closer observation, he noticed the locket was imperfect. In the rush, he hadn't had time to check. But this wasn't the real deal.

The man spun around, and planted his heels. He began slowly walking towards the trio again, drawing his revolver again. He aimed it towards Midori. "Girl. Where's the fuckin' locket? I know ya have it!"

"Oooh boy. You sure scare me, kid. You won't hafta hurt me? How 'bout ya hand over the locket so ya don't get hurt yourself? If ya don't have it, ya know where it is. And I ain't playin games here." The hammer was already cocked back from earlier, and he was ready to fire. The runes on the gauntlet also began to glow.

"And you, missy. I came knowin ya were my target. Ya think a few bullets won't hurt ya? Ya think I didn't come prepared?" He let out a hearty laugh, though the man's eyes were hard. "I'm ready ta take on two injured and a little boy."

The man who had previously run off, had not, in fact, run off. He had waited for the group to begin moving, before doubling back. Following them had been easy, since they had assumedly been more worried about the injured than looking carefully around them. He had lost them for a second near a group of stores, but after methodically checking the surrounding ones, the man had finally come across the Undertaker's.

A quick peek through the window told him that this was the right place. Every once in a while, he would take another short look. Nothing very interesting was happening. He pressed his ear to the door, very carefully, hoping to hear something useful.

The man snickered. "So that's why I didn't feel nothin' while I was lookin for the locket."

"I can fix your mother. For only four easy payments of 14.99." The man struggled to contain his laughter. While he couldn't just burst in, this was the extent of his abilities.

Illys got ahold of himself just in time to hear Leer's comment. He looked around quickly, then ducked over into a nearby alley.

The man waited in the alley as he watched for someone to exit. He didn't really have a game plan yet, but he figured that the boy knew where the locket was, at least.
