Full Detail - Birth Form

(Note: My version of Lycanthropes are born in their Lycan form, and don't have their first shift to human form until five years of age. These Lycans can turn humans/elves via bites, or licking open wounds; their saliva is the key. If a non-lycan becomes pregnant by a Lycan the child will always be born a Lycan, in lycan form. My ex boyfriend and I came up with this version, and the sexual tweaks that came with it. Since my break-up, I have made my own revisions and tweaks.)

Kanixillo is a standard male Lycan of Calraida, standing at seven feet and six inches when walking on his twos, ears included, and standing at five feet and four inches when he chooses to go on all fours. His eyes glitter a rich, deep golden color, and under the correct lighting, his eyes catch the light like any cat or wolf's eyes will under a real life flashlight during the night. He is a carnivore, after all; a supreme predator. His body is covered in thick, glossy raven black fur, thickest around his neck, scruff, chest, back, haunches, genitalia, and tail. His mane grows from around the thick fur at his scruff, as well as between his ears, falling rather like a horses forelock to either side of his wide forehead, almost like a widows peek. The mane at the back falls to mid spine when standing, or drapes in curtains down his sides when he's dropped to his fours. While his fur shortens to a sleek sheen over his abdominal muscles, he has no hairless points on his body, save for his pads, and his leathery black nose. Indeed, even the shortest fur on his body has a nice undercoat of fuzzy, soft fur, insulation against the elements he was born in. His ears are triangular, and well insulated with fluffy fur.

His golden eyes are large, intelligent, and often bright with mischief. His muzzle is long, noble as any wolf, with no shortening like you might find in some versions of werewolves. Within his jaws is a salmon pink tongue, and a full set of sharp, well looked after teeth, with large canines, and strong back molars. The color of his gums ranges from liver brown where his lips and jowls connect to his jaws, to a healthy pink as they reach the teeth. Despite being primarily a carnivore, Kanixillo, like most Lycans, also eats such things as bread, cheese, fruits, and vegetables. Thus, the back molars are adapted to cope with foods such as these. His facial bone structure is regal, angular, his muzzle narrowing into a noble wedge, squared off at his black, leathery nose. Despite having highly wolven features, his face is no less expressive than that of a human or elf. He can grin, smile, do such things as waggle his eyebrows (called brow points in this form. Like in real canines, this is the point where his brow whiskers sprout, and a lot of hound dogs and huskies have pips at.) His ears are a major part of his expressions, ably to flick and swivel, prick forward and pin back.

His mouth is another interesting feature. Lycans speak through their mouths, as well as via telepathy, though telepathy is usually reserved for those close to them. They speak very clearly, with none of the expected lisping. This is because their mouths are formed with just enough difference from a real wolf's, allowing the clear speech.

His tail is about three feet long, heavily furred, with the longest hairs reaching at least ten inches, and quite expressive. It can nearly bend back to tough the tip back to the base of the tail if bent manually, though when left alone, it falls like any real wolfs tail. It's highly mobile, and a good indicator of his mood. You will always know when he's so happy he can't contain himself. That tail will not be holding still. The backs of his thighs, closest to his rump are thickly furred, then as we go lower and further forward, the fur thins out, the grain facing downward toward the joint of his knee. The rest of the way down, on all four limbs, the fur is sleek and short.

His back has the same thick blocking of fur as a wolf, with a heavy undercoat in the winter. The undercoat, like in real wolves and many breeds of dog, is water resistant, and it takes a good deal to soak him through. On his shoulders, the fur is thick, growing thinner as you go down to his elbows.

Kanixillo's hind legs begin as humanoid at the thighs. Then as you go lower,, passing the knees, the calves meld smoothly into strong hocks, and from then on, it's all wolf. His paws are in proportion with the size of his body, not too big, nor too small. The pads are thick, rough, and a shade above black. His claws are more like talons, curved and ending in sharp points. Don't get in a fight with him; he kicks. Meanwhile, at his front...

Lycans have humanoid chests. Muscular pectorals, broad shoulders, ripped abs. Long, muscular arms.

Kanixillo himself is less of a musclebound brute, having a leaner build. Kanixillo's hands are nimble, but his palms and fingers carry thick pads, the same shade above black as his hind pads. Tipping each finger is a sharp talon, well in proportion with his hands; no horror movie foot long talons here. He keeps them sharp, but covers them with smooth, blunt caps when he isn't in battle. No need to accidentally rip open someones arm by accident, or ruining a silk gown of a noble lady. The caps are silver. His arms have the mobility and strength to carry him when he runs on his fours, and he has the full range of movement. He can rotate his arms in a full circle, fold them over his chest, etc; anything a fully healthy human can do, he can.

In this form Kanixillo rarely dons clothing. When running in the forest, he wears either a leather loincloth, or nothing but his fur. In court, around the city and in public in general, he may wear a light, loose shirt, with the lacing usually undone or loosely tied. He will also don a pair of customized breeches, and light, ceremonial leather armor.

Full Detail - Human Form:

Kanixillo in his human form looks like any strapping human man. Barring the golden eyes, slightly sharp looking canines and wolfish grin, and the pointed ears. His fingernails are also faintly reminiscent of claws, but only just.

He stands at six feet and six inches, average for most male Lycans his age. His face is angular, highly resembling the Native Americans of our world ( for a good reference, google "Wind In His Hair Indian. Imagine a slightly more angular version of that guy.), chiseled and handsome. His cheekbones are high, his chin a narrow square and strong. Laugh lines crinkle the corners of his eyes, and dimples appear when he grins; which he usually seems to be doing eighty-five percent of the time. His eyes remain the same shade of deep gold as his true form. They are lined with thick lashes, set under a noble brow. His eyebrows are strong, but not hairy or bushy. His brow is wide, set under a widows peak of raven hair. No other facial hair grows on his visage. His lips are full, sensual and attractive, and often stretched over white teeth in a big grin.

Kanixillo's hair is thick and silky, raven black and falling straight to mild waves to his mid back. He generally braids a few neutral colored beads into small locks at the sides, leaves it loose, or ties it back with a leather thong. His ears are pointed, though not as prominently as an elf's; rather they end at three quarters of an inch after that of a human in a point. His shoulders are broad and strong, and his chest is lean but muscular. His stomach flaunts a modest six pack. His hips are narrow, his legs long, thighs toned and muscular. His arms are strong, muscular, but not those of a bodybuilder. His hands are nimble, with masculine fingers, but suiting that of a jeweler, rather than a woodworker or lumberjack.

His feet are, like his paws in his birth form just right for him; neither too large, nor too small; proportionate to his body. On his left ankle, he wears an ankle bracelet made of silver. It's a simple chain, given to him by his mother as a coming of age gift.

Kanixillo, for being a furry beast in his true form, has very little to no body hair. Maybe a light dusting over his arms and his legs, and lower abdomen, but beyond that, relatively hairless.

He is one of those Lycans that can tolerate the human form for a long period of time.

Personality

Kanixillo is a fun loving Lycan. He enjoys jokes and good stories. He views the world from a "Glass is half full" point of view, and is rarely ever down or depressed. He loved to joke around, tease and play, and could be mistaken as being a pup, if it weren't for his very clearly fully matured frame and assets. Loving to his family and closest friends, and ever loyal, you couldn't ask for a better friend in a canine. He loves children, and will always stop to play, even if it means toddlers (pup or human/elf) gnawing on his ears.

However, that doesn't mean Kanix can't be serious when the situation calls for it. When he settles down and concentrates on a task, that task will be done. When he makes a promise, he makes the greatest effort not to break that promise. In battle, he's dead serious, calm, and dispatches death with cold efficiency. In a hunt, he does his best to bring down the prey.

But, in all likely hood, he'd rather give you puppy kisses, rather than bite you.

It's hard to get in this Lycan's bad books. But there are ways to condemn yourself to his maul list: Hurt his friends, family, kill an innocent child, harm anyone close to him; he will come after you, and it will not be pretty.

So begins...

Kanixillo came padding in, silver black pelt shimmering in the firelight, golden eyes searching for Briena. Not finding her in person, but finding her scent to be present, though it had a day's worth of age to it, the large Lycan sighed, and made his way to the bar. A good mug of ale was in order.

Kanixillo stared at Kyle and Jayden. She glanced at Ebony... "Did I just see-- Kyle!-- I have no clue what to say..." She put her hands on her face and rubbed. Then sighed. "Oi, Kyle, can you please come here?" She called across the room to Kyle.

Kanixillo stepped into the Tavern, bare pads silent on the-- *Thunk!* Ow! He stumbled backwards and rubbed his forehead with a grunt of pain. He'd walked into the door frame. Being seven feet and eight inches tall, he just exceeded the height allowance of the door. Grumbling about the door, he ducked and stepped in, closing the door after him, though chances were, it wouldn't stay closed.

He looked around at the room, golden eyes searching... Nope. She wasn't there. "Dayum." The drawling Southern accented word came from his muzzle, full of disappointment. The Lycan sighed and started for the Bar, thinking that he may as well get something to drink. He passed a table, and paused, as he smelled the Vampire's scent. A low growl rumbled in his chest, then ceased as he caught himself. Enougha that. He ain't done nothin'.

He continued on his way to the Bar. "Glass o' water, Tender."

Kanixillo 's ears swiveled as he began to hear clanking. He turned his head to look and spotted a High Elf. Maybe he knew where Briena could be found. Kanix could smell her scent. It was a day old, yet... It seemed fresher, too.

He gave a wave to the High Elf. "'Scuse me. But have ya seen a young woman by the name o' Briena Skysong? Or o' her description? Red hair to her waist, really blue eyes, six feet tall, Half Elf, 'n able to turn into any creature?" His back was turned to the danger.

Briena's eyes flew wide open in half panic as a High Elf entered. Shit shit! Then she noticed a young man stalking Kanix. Her eyes narrowed. She'd run into Caster before. She was confused on what to do.

Then, the danger seemed to pass. Briena relaxed.

Kanixillo looked around, following the Elven man's line of sight. "Briena!" He came bounding over like a bull in a china closet. Briena facepalmed as chairs went crashing to the floor, npc patrons got knocked aside yelling, and dishes got whacked across the room by Kanix's wildly wagging tail. "Kanix! Calm down, youre wrecking the Tavern!" Huh? That word could be used to describe the look of surprise that registered on Kanixillo's face. He sat down and looked around. "Well Dayum! It looks like the time Orion got skunked and tried to chase imag'nary butterflies aroun' the room."

Briena groaned. Then stood and dropped her vision barrier. She looked at Melthandon. "How did you see me?" Her voice was husky with Scottish accented lilt, but ,usical as would be expected of one with Elven lines.

Kanix looked closely at Briena. "Ya look thin."

Kanixillo padded in, grumbling. His black fur gleamed under the torchlight and his golden eyes searched the room for Briena. He gave a low whoof, then made his way to a warm spot by the fireplace. Kanixillo flopped down, staring at the fire.

Kanixillo was not usually this grouchy. He grumbled, scratching at the floor with one of his claws. Then he lowered his head and rested his chin over the scratch marks his claws had left, hoping that no one had seen. He didn't want to kicked out like a common dog.

He was a large Lycan, but he wasn't the biggest of them all. He closed his golden eyes, trying to decide on his next plan of action. He could wait here, and see if Briena showed. He had encountered her last time, and it had not gone well. He gave a sad whine.

Kanixillo 's right ear flicked toward the sensation of eyes upon him. Lifting his head, his golden gaze found the woman who watched him. The look he gave the young woman was curious, but nothing more. His pink tongue swiped his jowls for a split second, before he turned to look into the flames of the fire.

What to do... Where was Briena? His claws scratched at the wood floor again, and he growled in slight frustration. Hopefully, she would show up.

Kanixillo 's ears flattened as another young woman entered, the door slamming loudly. A gruff snort, and he rubbed his ears, hands running through his long mane. His gaze turned to observe the other woman, Golden eyes missing nothing. Then he turned away and stared into the flames of the fire. His eyes closed as a sudden bright flash from the flames half blinded him. He gave a pained whine, and a muttered curse as he rubbed his eyes.

Kanixillo glanced up at the younger of the women. How'd she get there so fast? He gave a puzzled glance to the older woman, then swiveled his ear to listen to the younger woman's words of apology. Turning his liquid golden gaze to look at her he grinned wolfishly. "Ain't too bad, lil' miss. I'ma tough puppy." The Southern twang to his words gave his deep voice a lightness, and a friendly warmth.

He tilted his head as she took a step back, and look over his shoulder to see what had her worried. Couldn't be him, now could it? He was a friendly sort. His tail wagged uncertainly. He hated being feared, unless he was fighting.

Kanixillo lifted his head proudly. "I'ma Lycan." The way he said 'Lycan' was quite adorable. 'Lie-kin'. He thought a moment, then added, "I guess ya could say I am half wolf." He smiled, Golden eyes sheepish. Inside, he was wondering what she wanted. He'd noted earlier her glance at his tail, and he grabbed it. "You c'n touch it if ya like. I don't bite."

He offered his tail to her. The tip twitched, attempting to wag.

Kanixillo 's fur was very soft, silky, well kept. He smiled. "M' names Kanixillo." Did this woman know about Briena, he wondered. Kanixillo twitched his ears, hiding a grin at her attempt at his name. "Call me Kanix. Everyone does." His tail thumped the floor, then went still as he looked toward the door. He stood up on his twos. This meant that he stood to his full height of 7'8". He stared toward the door, wide eyed. "Oh dayum... " "WEEEEEeeeeeee!!!!" The loud squeal was uttered by a small figure, with cat ears and tail. Kanix went toppling over backward as the neko hit him. "OOMPH! Dammit Morgan, Grow up will ya!?"

Kanixillo ruffled the Neko's hair. He couldn't help but admit the guy was amusing, even if he was loud. Morgan turned his orange eyes to Violet. "Hey there!" He chirped, then went to tickling Kanixillo under the ribs. The large Lycan gave an unusual squeak and writhed. "Gahquit! Tha-ahaha! Quii-iit!"

Morgan tickled without mercy, grinning from ear to ear. "So'dya find Bri? I have a new joke!" The one thing about Morgan, her almost never stopped being cheerful. And he was around four hundred years old. Kanix laughed helplessly, tail wagging.

Kanixillo 's left ear flattened slightly, then winced as his mind was filled with Arasovrin's sharp voice. ~I'm coming in. She won't show...~ A moment later, the tall, golden haired Vampire strode into the Tavern, hair billowing like a cloak. His golden eyes took in Violet, and the still giggling Neko. "Did Morgan manage to get his hands upon some whiskey? He's acting that way." Arasovrin's voice was deep, an English accent enriching his speech. "Raso, yer a genius." That was Kanix. Morgan continued giggling, tail flicking around. "Haia Aras." He chirped, then chortled cheerily. Araso rolled his eyes. "Nekos." Then he turned to Violet. "I am deeply sorry if either of them annoyed you in any way, Miss..."

Kanixillo looked at Arasovrin. "Araso. D'ya think we could... We ain't played a song in a while." Arasovrin stared at Kanix. "Briena isn't here to join, is she now?" A squeal from under a booth seat. "Song! Let's do it! I got my fiddle!" Kanix smiled. Then grinned at the two women. "If we can weasel mister grumpy vampire here into playin' ya might just get to hear some music."

Araso frowned, then sighed. "Alright." He looked around and spotted the stage. He jerked his head toward the stage. "Come along. May as well give a show. Who knows, Briena may hear and come." Kanix reached down and grabbed Morgan, tossing him onto his shoulders as he went to stage after Araso. The galloping of hooves on stone sounded from outside, and a moment later, a Centaur trotted in through the door, carrying a Kitsune. Orion the Centaur winked to the crowds, then made his way to the stage. He carried something that looked like a small accordion. Amadious, the Kitsune on his back, carried nothing. His magic would provide his instrument. They took their places, but one spot remained open. Briena's. Kanixillo started the song, pulling a flute from the pouch on his belt. His flutesong filled the room. Amadious waved his hands in time with the music that Orion and Morgan added on, and Araso tapped lightly with a light stick.

Kanixillo switched to the next song, then stared at the empty spot. There was a cat sitting there. It was Briena. The cat Shifted as the music picked up. Briena spun and darted as she played her flute. Her fiery dark red hair whirled in a cloud, like silken flame, and her blue eyes sparkled. She figured, she should join it. As the song came to a slow part, she played in the foreground, as the others played the lighter instruments, then leapt into action with the beat as it lifted and picked up.

Briena was graceful, swift, beautiful. Amadious's hands jerked as the end came, then smoothed them out in the air. Araso stared intently at Briena, but she did not look at him. She looked at the others, then at him. There was sadness in her eyes, before she jerked her head toward the door. They nodded, and headed to leave.

Kanix waved to Violet and Silver, then yelped as Orion Stepped on his tail.

Kanixillo looked at Violet, then at Briena. She still sat on the stage, and she looked ready to sing. "Uh, Yeah. We do..." He grinned. Then pointed to Briena. "She's the best in Calraida." Just then...

Kanixillo padded into the Bar, his black fur gleaming. He had just had a bath, it seemed, and the braids in his mane undone and brushed. His black mane was sleek and soft, and he kept reaching a hybrid hand/paw up and touching it, running his claws through the tangle free locks. "Dayum..." He muttered, Southern accent giving his deep voice a light warmth. He hadn't gotten a look at himself in a mirror yet. He was about to.

"Uhh..." He stared at the mirror. The Lycan in the mirror was spic and span. Dayum... He looked completely civilized, save for the fact that he was covered in fur, and over seven feet tall. He looked down at his claws. Even they were clean. He looked down at his tail... "Morgan! You little-- You covered my tail in ribbons and bows! They're Luna Damned Pink!" He growled, and started plucking the bows and ribbons out of his tail fur.

Kanixillo walked in a casual amble, his golden eyes flicking here and there to gaze at anything that caught his interest as he made his way toward the Gambit's Bar. Nothing could dampen this mellow mood he was in. Oh so calm and-- *Thunk!*"Ow!" The seven foot plus, black furred Lycan reeled back, clutching his head, and growling a string of curses in his own tongue at the door.

Kanixillo cracked a golden eye from the grimace of pain, and glared at the door frame, the source of the thunk, and the source of his new found headache. "I hate you." He growled at it, and it gave no reply, seeing as it wasn't alive. So he tried the door again, this time remembering to duck his head as he stepped through. Straightening, he looked around, ears twitching, hybrid hand still rubbing his head. Not very busy it seemed.

He shrugged and made his way toward a corner near the fire, which in the summer heat, wasn't ablaze. He sank into a chair with a sigh, and wriggles the toes on his hind paws, stretching hybrid legs, until the muscles in his legs quivered in a wonderful sensation, and he relaxed. Stretches felt glorious when they got to that quivering point.

Kanixillo 's ear twitched lazily, then his head turned toward the loud noise. The stretch haze was leaving a little sooner than he would have liked, but this was interesting, so she shook out of the delicious tingles and sat straighter, ears perked, watching as a man pulled himself out of the bar, looked all about, then sat at the bar with a smile and sigh. Kanixillo's attention was caught again by another entrance, this time of a young female, who came from the stairs instead of the door. He watched her for a second, then turned his gaze to his claws, ears swiveling to catch any noises from the two people.

Kanixillo looked around again as another female entered, younger than the first. The sight of wings and blonde hair made his ears perk, and his tail wag for a moment. She looked a lot like Grace, Briena's younger sister. Only this wasn't Grace. Much too young. His tail relaxed it's wind storming wagging, and his ears relaxed from their pricked position.

Kanixillo, possibly being a wee bit ADD, lost interest after a few moments of watching the winged girl, and returned his attention back to his talon like hand claws, then up toward the other two people.
