With a sigh and a smile, a woman stood outside of the doors, her fingers touching with her palms apart. She stood with her back straight and her head up. So this was it. Gambit's. She had heard so many rumors...so many tales! Now, wasn't she curious?

Stepping in, Kissaki opened the door to the bar, her worn sneakers thumping and squeaking on the ground. She wore colorful stockings with a pair of jean shorts over it and a red shirt. Her hair was up in a high bun, strands falling out to the side of her face, decorated with beads.

Looking around, the woman looked absolutely pleased.

The woman lifted her head at a familiar scent. Her eyes scanned the bar, landing on one person. Taking in a breath of air, she slowly made her way towards him, sneakers thumping on the ground.

"I was beginning to think that myself and my twin were the only ones here!" she said, sitting beside him. Her chair shrieked as she pulled it in towards the counter. "When had you come here? I've just gotten here recently, myself!"

"I am Kissaki. I'm but a Colonist." she replied, turning to face him. "I am glad! I did not know the Duchess was here. It would be a pleasure to meet her!" she said, sticking out her arm towards him. For a shake, of course.

"First night? Exciting. What do you think of this planet so far?"

"I heard. And we're all forced to hide. Not a completely horrible thought, if you see the excitement in it, but..." The woman sighed, "It has certainly done a number to us. Hopefully we might rise again. Colonization has not proved to be so bad. I'm not sure about this planet, however. I was losing hope until I saw you!"

The woman's eyes flicked up to the pirate woman, blinking curiously before she turned her attention back to Shepherd. She nodded in understanding. "Yes, understandably. Oh, you will have to keep me updated, as I find myself..." She grimaced slightly, eyes rocking back and forth in her head as she failed to make an excuse, "...a but behind in the news lately. Coming here was a shaky experience."

Her head dropped. "Ah, I see...well, information is bound to come from somewhere! Perhaps we will meet the Duchess again, seeing as she is here, and be able to ask her a few questions. Oh, that does sound like a plan!" she said, nodding again. The beads on her hair clicked as they bobbled.

"I have hope that things will not be bad for long. Even if they are, we have a long time to live, so that is quite fine, too!"

The woman chuckled. "That's a good term for them. I haven't gotten used to human profanity myself, but that certainly works." She crossed her legs, colorful stockings and all, and frowned as Shepherd continued to speak.

"Well...yes. I agree that seeing our land and our people being do...degraded...has left me more than a bit torn. It really does make me more urgent to quicken colonization. However, such efforts take years! And there are plenty of implications!"

Implications, indeed. More than one could probably catch up on.

Kissaki blinked as she watched Shepherd fly over the counter. Her lips pursed. Oh, there was a loud sound just now, right? Yes, there was!

"Isn't this place so lively?" she said to Shepherd. "While you're over there, mind getting me a drink? I believe a popular one here for women is called a margarita!"

"That was some mighty fine reflexes. You're rather comfortable in a Terran body." she said, raising a hand to pat him on the shoulder. "Come and sit down. Not much is going to happen to us. I don't know why I know that...but it's a feeling. And if something does...well, we'll just have to figure out how to deal with it, right?"

Kissaki knew the fight was going on...but she was unafraid. Cheery, even. "So tell me about yourself! Anything."

Kissaki blinked.

"Oh, I'm sorry. Were you...watching the fight as well? I was honestly distracted..." she said, scratching the back of her neck. Oh, dear, how could she do something like that?

"Us colonists are supposed to come here, mimic the living of the current species upon the planet, then find a mated and have as many children as we can that still blends in with the number the species usually has. It is quite a difficult thing to do, sometimes. Myself, I haven't gone that far, but perhaps here, on Terra, it may happen!"

"They held their own somewhat well." said Kissaki, grinning as well, "But I agree. The fight is amusing. Oh...were you going to intervene?"

Surprised he may of well been.

The Erutin woman waved at him, sitting patiently at the counter. She kicked her legs with her hands in her lap.

"Quite a heroic effort."

"It might do more people well to do as much. You saw little ol' me sitting here without so much as a blink!" she said, clasping her fingers together. "You're well trained. That's admirable" She leaned back onto the counter, looking up at his face.

"No one died, or even got hit. I think it went rather well."

Walking down the market, Kissaki had her hands behind her back, pace slow and relaxed. She had a wide smile on her face, and the beads in her hair clacked as she turned her head to look at the booths. She wore a bright yellow shirt and a flouncy blue skirt that reached her ankles.

Suddenly, she stopped. Something else had caught her attention. Her eyes landed on the redhead looking at scarves. At a pace just as relaxed as before, she began to walk towards her.

Kissaki smiled gently, nodding to her. "Hello, yourself." she said, looking the woman over. "This would be the second time I ran into another. I did not know so many of us had come here." she told her. "I am Kissaki. You are?"

This was pretty neat. First the one called Shepherd, then this one. She had even heard that the Duchess was here.

"I am a light," she replied, grinning wide. "And my dark is Kashira. I am very pleased to meet you, Grape. And I quite like your name. Grapes are among my favorite human fruits." she said to her, tilting her head to the side. The beads clacked again.

"Looking at scarves? Oh, they are quite lovely."

The dark Erutin woman nodded, reaching to take the scarf. "Why, yes, I agree. The colors work well." she said, running her hand along it. "You like the beads? I'm surprised. It's not a fashion I often see used around here." She gestured to herself, "Along with a few other things. Have you heard the news lately?" asked Kissaki, changing subjects quickly. "About Wing, that is."

Kissaki sighed solemnly. "The Belkans do not know much about us, do they?" she said, scrunching up her face. "They do not know anything other than themselves. I do not like them much either. Selfish race. Perhaps we shall rise against them soon." She nodded. It had to happen!

"How long do you think until we rule again?" She seemed optimistic about it happening. Absolutely.

"A school!?" cried Kissaki, her eyes widening. "Which Light is this? I am quite surprised! Just to think!" She shook her head. Soon! They would rise soon, and someone else thought so, too! Oh, the glory.

"Hope Anona," said Kissaki, speaking the name slowly. Of course. "She is brilliant. Even her mate. It matters not if they are one of us so long as they are for us!" she stated. "And out First Dark...no. I had not heard that much. How disappointing.

Her eyes came up to Lock as he appeared, brow wrinkling in a frown as he snatched Grape's wrist. She nearly opened her mouth in protest, but did no such thing. Not yet.

"There is hardly anyone around." she said, arms folded behind her back.

"I think we both understand that, sir Lock, not to be rude." she said, voice returning to the peppiness it had before. She stood straight and proud. She did not seem to fear the dark, as much as she probably should have.

As she heard of his missing Light, her brow furrowed. "She is gone? Unfortunate. Perhaps she is alright, however. As dangerous as Terra and Wing City is, there is usually a hero nearby. At least, that's what I've been told." She mused about her experience in Gambit's the other day.

"That's what I've seen lately, too."

Kissaki nodded. "I certainly will look out for her." she said, arms loosely by her sides. "I will ask the other Erutin I have met as well. There are more of us here than people know. Than even we expect." she told him.

"Also, it will be wise if you do not port too much if you care about the safety of your Light. To keep her alive, you must keep yourself alive, as well."

Kissaki stood still, only her head turning as she watched Lock walk off. The beads in her hair clapped together as the wind caught them. Her head turned back to Grape.

"You stand your ground well." she said to her, fingers twining within one another. "It is very concerning. But the girl must be alright, if all of you are, as well."

Kissaki beamed, glad. "Not worried? Well, that means there must not be terribly enough to worry about, then. Her twin seems to be in a terrible shape, however. I do hope he is comforted soon."

He did rub off on her the wrong way at first, but she shrugged it off. Perhaps it was only the worry. Perhaps he was a good man at heart.
