Age: Unknown

Gender: Female

Appearance: With bobbed black hair and chocolate skin, Nikka is known as one of the smaller denizens of Wing City. She has large brown eyes and dark lips. She dresses plainly, but not poorly. It seems that the expression on her face rarely changes from a slightly worn, if alert expression, one not of joy nor sadness. Her eyes are often occupied, but looking anywhere else but at someone else's face. She is youthful in body, but, again, her eyes seem to betray it.

Weapons:

A slingshot.

Magic:

The Hounds
Eight summons that Nikka can create. Each hound has a different purpose, and though she uses magic to summon them, not all hounds are strictly of magic themselves.

  1. Ghost Hound (Weimaraner) - Used as a tracker and a spy, the Ghost Hound can allow Nikka to see through its eyes. It can slip through solid objects and cause anomalies to occur. Though not the strongest of the hounds, this dog can pack a nasty bite.

  2. Hell Hound (Rottweiler) - Though not literally from hell, the Hellhound, consumed by darkness, smoke, and fire, might as well have been the pet of Hades himself. One of the stronger hounds of the seven, this dog operates with offence only.

  3. Ore Hound (Bull Terrier) - Like its name suggests, this dog can move and manipulate ore. It is one of the strongest hounds she has under her power.

  4. Dart Hound (Borzois) A hound with a crossbow-esque weapon across its back, used to fire small projectiles, not dissimilar to arrowheads, from a distance of about a mile away. It has two modes, one for sniping, one for scatter shots with a machine gun.

  5. Split Hound (Mudi) Also known as the Pack Hound, this dog has the ability to split itself into nine others, used to herd a target into a certain area or to swarm them.

  6. Nightmare Hound (Doberman) Turns into the target's worst fear or into a grotesque monster.

  7. Gale Hound (Husky) Like its name suggests, it can conjure horrible storms and control the storm effects, such as lightning.

  8. Greyhound (Greyhound) A joke on Nikka's part, for it is the transport hound, a slick, large greyhound that can run vast distances swiftly.

So begins...

Nikka's Story

Nikka would walk into the bar, her face hidden by a wooden mask that seemed to twine cross her face as if it had been grown onto it, little orange and blue designs painted onto its surface. It hid all but the jawline of the right of her face. Her apparel consisted of what seemed to be modernized Victorian clothing; a corset giving shape to an otherwise flat body and a simple skirt that extended to the ground in layers. She seemed lost.

Nikka made her way over to the bar counter with a defined strut, concealed head held high as her brown hair dangled to the sides of her face in spiraling curls.

Nikka calmly sat herself onto one of the stools at the counter and casually looked around for a bartender when a gentleman had suddenly appeared. Through the eye-holes in her mask she could see him clearly. She spoke with a strong, confident voice.
"Why, hello. If you wish to join me, then by all means..." With a gloved hand she patted the seat next to her.

Nikka could show no emotion behind her mask, but as she sat and leaned her head upon her hand, she exuded a sense of superiority, or, at least, the feeling that she viewed herself more superior.
"Nice to be your...acquaintance. I am Nikka." She said as she held out her hand to him, expecting the customary kiss upon her fingers.

Nikka narrowed her eyes and retreated her hand slowly. She lay it then upon her bosom, giving a light chuckle.
"It is personal, but if I may give you a light answer it is not out of cowardice, as most people wear masks."

Nikka moved a hand up slowly, waving down the bartender. She asked him for a drink, a glass of Brandy.
"So, what inspired you to advance toward such a mysterious masked woman such as myself?" She asked him.

Nikka gave yet another small laugh, and it sounded slightly bitter.
"Does the strange and the bizarre interest you, Sir Cogdell?" She asked him once more as her Brandy arrived.
"What, you're not ordering anything?"

Nikka was only a little jolted at the young man's sudden rush out, but not for long. She gazed off onto a wall as she lifted her mask, just a bit as to expose her lips as she downed some of her wine.

Nikka could be seen making a rather hasty entrance into the bar as her flat soled boots made their way to the bar counter, making little to no sound. Gray and red beads in her hair than hung from little, numerous braids clanked together as she sat herself down. She had a long figure dressed in what seemed to be Neo-Victorian frock- a tight corset paired together with a long frilled skirt. She wore a mask about her face. It was painted the same as the beads that hung in her hair.

Nikka took a hankercvhief from her sleeve as she waved down the bartender, taking all the time in the world to acknowledge the stranger that had come to her dressed in black leather and a small, tight shirt under that. Hardly anything a woman should be wearing, but it never mattered in such places. She answered the woman only after asking the bartender for a drink.
"One shot, please...or two, even...Oh, hello, you." She greeted Charlie, twining the handkerchief in her fingers.
"I'm quite cheery." Her British accent matched Charlies, if it was a bit older, with a touch of a German twang mixed in.

Nikka waved away the person that had disappeared in her black leather and tight shirts. That wasn't the apparel of youth, shouldn't they all know! But anyway, it was common in such places and one couldn't complain excessively. She lifted her mask, just enough to drink down her shot as she then slid it back over. Crossing her legs, she leaned upon the counter, fiddling with her handkerchief between her fingers.

Nikka looked over yet another woman who had the gist to come over to her and...to...to talk! But it was not unusual in such places. And this woman, just the the last one, dressed in tight black clothing! But it seemed a little out of place, with her long sleeves and the strange designs patterned onto her dress.
"Oh, well, yes. Hullo. It's none of your concern as to why I wear a mask, you see...it's quite personal." She snapped, pulling at the cloth between her fingers, the beads in her hair rattling.

Nikka would raise a long, thin eyebrow behind her mask, and you could hear the shuffle next to it's near blank surface. She looked the woman over once more, her appearance much stranger, but not unlike her own. A modernized version of an old era, she thought.
"Em called Nikka, and your own, if I don't mind asking?" Her British accent shown through, the German slightly brushing her words. She sat tall, as if she thought she were very important.

Nikka drank another shot as she listened to the strange person, lifting her mask only a tik enough to show her lips. She then began to twirl one of her beaded braids around a finger. She was very twitchy, and it was evident, as her eyes would dark from side to side often. She eyed the weapons the witch had placed down.
"A witch with guns, eh? Tha's a firs' it is." She nodded to herself. "An you're from an old people, eh?"

Nikka twitched a slight smile behind the mask, but the smile was never complete. Giving a little laugh, she calmly folded her handkerchief and placed it back into her sleeve. She took a long moment before answering the Witch, taking a moment to brush her fingers through her hair, then to reach at a pocket on her side.
"What makes you think I subject to such violence? That I need to hide? That I have reasons to carry such weapons?" Her voice sounded nearly of mockery, as if she were playing with the witch. Out of the pocket came a long, thin rod, not unlike a bone cane.
"Which, of course, I do."

Nikka thumped the end of the thin, bone cane down, resting one hand atop the other. She was absolutely still as she listened to the witch, always with interest, of course. It never would show, as the mask always did it's intended job.
"And why do you tell a perfect stranger such detail, Miss Witch?" Nikka questioned with a slight edge to her voice.
"You never quite know who you're speaking to. Or who's listening. You should be careful if these angels are as dangerous as you say."

Nikka thumped down the cane once more, and it made a loud hollow noise upon the wooden floorboards.
"I see, I see. You seem very sure of yourself, Miss Witch. Very sure." Nikka laughed. The beads in her hair clacked as she shuffled in her seat, unfolding her legs. This witch woman, this... Balesandra. How interesting. If slightly off her rocker, but then again, so was she, and you meet people like this often in bars. Very often.
"Your world seems to inhibit magic, science, and technology into one, does it not?"

Nikka kept as still as she had before, intent on such a story the witch was telling her of her homeplace. It seemed chaotic, full of bedlam, with a distressful past.
"How awful. To have a whole people wiped out, like a genocide, really. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to sympathize very well." Nikka reasoned. "But very, very astonishing. Intriguing, really, truthfully. Your world seems to be an...an archipelago of dimensions, much like this place here- different, of course, in some aspects, but interesting to say the least."

Nikka gave a laugh at that last bit, to raise a child away from harm. In this world. Nikka took her cane head and began to turn it. It sounded like she was winding it up, the cog contraptions and brass within it being heard working.
"Well, you did not come to the right place, m'dear. Rather, you came to a place with a lot more confusion, where danger shows up everywhere, in different forms, both cloaked and visible." She gave only a half glance at the angels, but not enough to get attention. She stopped winding up the cane, and it's tail became very short.
"But it's a wondrous place, no?"

Nikka nodded in agreement- a billion angels did seem a tad much. They sounded very posh, they did, and Nikka didn't like anyone else being posh but herself. It was her place.
"Yes, well, I've never had children myself, and I've traveled alone a long time. My own world-it's been reduced to merciless scientists and mutated monsters. I couldn't bother. It was so troublesome." She heartily guffawed.
"Well, I do hope you are able to restore your world and clan, if that is what you wish to do, and that you and your daughter survive."
