Sun Wu

Your King has returned

258 views · last seen in Forest Border
a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Kizaemon

Description

Birth Name: Funny story...
Nickname: 'Monkey'
Gender: Male
Race: Appears to be Human most of the time...Except for the rather large ears...And the long prehensile tail.
Age: somewhere between 19 and 500
Height: In his most comfortable form an even 6'0"
Weight: Varies
Fears: Mountains...And Gods. Who like to imprison people...with Mountains. :/

Notable Skills:
-Strength- Deceptively strong, arguably his best asset. However, he cannot lift anything that weighs in heavier than his staff(8,100kg).
-Speed/Jumping- Given enough distance, Sun can accelerate up to 75 mph. This combined with his strength enable him to jump an extreme distance as well.
Limited shape shifting ability- An ability still in development mostly. Sun can turn himself into any animal, and some inanimate objects without a problem. For human transformations, he has problems transforming his tail.
The Replicate- By plucking a single hair from his body and blowing on it. Sun can create a full sized replicate of himself. But the Replicate's strength and abilities are only a small fraction of the true Sun WuKong. And if the original or the Replicate Sun take a critical strike, or Sun's concentration is broken. The Replicate is reduced to a mere hair once again.

Weaknesses:
-Smoke- A weakness given to Sun during his scuffle in the Heavens. Now he has an extreme aversion to even the slightest hint of smoke.

-Tail- though his tail flows freely behind him most of the time. All it takes is a strong grip to have a crippling effect on Sun. However if attacked or even chopped off, his tail does display regenerative properties, usually returning to normal overnight.

-Golden Choker- A thin choker which Sun was tricked into wearing upon his release from imprisonment. A chant from your nearest clergyman will cause the choker to shrink about Sun's neck, also crippling the stone monkey man.

Equipment

■Staff(Ruyi Bang)- able to shrink to the size of a toothpick or grow to the size of a pillar. It can multiply or even fight depending on Sun's wishes. Given to Sun by the Dragon King and weighing in at about 8,100kg...Though Sun wields it with ease. Even if it isn't in his grasp, the weapon performs only for Sun and can be summoned to the King if he is near.
■Cloud- Pretty self explanatory...It's a cloud. Sun's main mode of transportation. Can dissipate/gather at his whim.
■Mask- Just a mask of the Monkey King (himself?...maybe) Nothing too special about it.
■Golden Choker- A seemingly simple choker, no thicker than an inch. Fits snugly about Sun's neck...It cannot be removed.

History

Sun's most recent memories are of the following:

-His birth from the mystical stone atop Hua Guo Shan
-His rebellion against the heavens and the crashing of the Royal Banquet. Which led to the theft of many personal items belonging to the Gods (He still sips on a good bit of the Jade Emperor's wine today).
-His 5 century imprisonment within a Mountain/palm of the Buddha for his crime above.
-His subsequent release from said Mountain by the Bodhisattva Guanyin...

So begins...

Sun Wu snored softly as his Cloud made it's way slowly down the alleyway beside Gambit's. The King's right hand hanging off of the edge of the small puff, lightly dragging along the ground, his tail pulling up the rear behind them. The Cloud slowly round the corner and moved along the front of the building, Sun grumbling and turning over, away from the light that leaked through the windows to the outdoors.

'Thud...Thud...Thud' would be heard as the Cloud pressed against the door, thus bumping Sun's head three times before gently forcing the door of Gambit's open and drifting inside, bearing the snoring, drooling Monkey King. A young man, seemingly in his early twenties. And seemingly human, with the exception of his ears and his long brown tail, which curled just inside the door to avoid a smashing...

Sun Wu could sense the light through his eye lids, burying his face in his arms...an action that was accompanied by more grumbling as the Cloud drift steadily through the thin crowd of the Bar. Sun's youthful face was obscured beneath his arms, but his mask was turned backwards so it was facing upward...A black, red, and white mask complete with ears that seemed to depict a monkey.

The Cloud neared the bar and began bumping into the counter top, a series of bumps actually. But it being a cloud and all, the water vapor would merely part, allowing Sun's head to crash against the counter top over and over and over...Until the King's hand lashed out to grip the surface of the counter, Sun coming to a rise...his eyes in a squint, what appeared to be a red and gold toothpick hanging out of his mouth. "Where are we exactly...?" he muttered to no one in particular, surveying the length of the bar counter.

Sun Wu licked his lips as he waved his hand, Cloud dissipating beneath him so he could lower his bare feet to the floor. He stretched both arms at length and arched his back as he bellowed a yawn...How long had he been napping? How long had he been locked away? He asked himself, rolling his head about his shoulders, causing a few audible pops.

Sun plucked his 'toothpick' from his mouth and tucked it behind his right ear as he craned his neck toward one of the touch screens along the counter. Then the robots working behind the counter itself...things seemed lost on the King, but he maintained his composure...He wouldn't bother with the order screen, instead springing up, appearing almost weightless as he came to land upon the shoulders of one of the working server robots milling behind the counter, studying the drink selection as it went along it's route.

Sun Wu banged against the door with his staff, neatly shrinking it and tucking it behind his ear as he would lazily float through the doorway atop his Cloud. The King managed a weak yawn, his hands rubbing his eyes as his vision began to clear, his tail coiling behind him to avoid being trapped in the closing door.

Only a few feet inside and he could already tell tensions were pretty high...quite the reverse from the night before. His ears twitched at the sounds of a patrons, the mocking, growingly hostile words of a few. But his nose...he lift his chin to sniff the air...sniff sniff. Sun licked his lips as the cloud neared the bar counter.

Sun Wu stepped from his Cloud to a stool at the bar, kneeling to a crouch at the counter as he craned his neck to follow the scent, scanning each robo server that rolled by..."Hmmm..." The King licked his lips as he took a step up onto the counter and spot his prey.

A serve bot moving along the counter with what else but a plate of scrambled eggs!...who they were for didn't concern him. The monkey Man expertly, weightlessly hopped from his spot on the counter touching over a few servebot heads before landing squarely on the shoulders of the one with the eggs, his hamstrings against the bot's shoulders. "Don't mind if I do..." Sun muttered, reaching down to pluck some of the eggs.

Sun Wu felt his ears twitch..someone was angry..."Asswha-" was all the King managed before he was taken by Ro at the scruff of his vest. He did managed to snatch one last tiny piece of the eggs before he was cast off to the side, slipping the bit of food into his mouth as he flew.

Upside down and floating through the air, the King thought...Where is my Cloud? he pondered as he look left and right, for something to latch onto. But within a matter of seconds from when he was thrown he plopped down upside down in a booth...Inverted so his head was hanging beneath the level of the bench. "That's a lot of trouble for some eggs..."

Sun Wu grinned as he pressed his palms against the floor...above him. A burst of energy from his muscles springing him upright and from the booth to land in a cross legged sitting position upon his Cloud. Ah, there you are, he thought to himself before the glimmer of the golden coins caught his eye.

"Ah, such a benevolent soul...Much better than the Buddha," The King said as his Cloud swept up and over the opposite side of the counter than the Vampire, allowing Sun to sweep up the coins in one swoop, tucking them neatly into an inner pocket of his vest. He'd probably save it for later.

Sun Wu was growing a bit thirsty now, floating above the servebots still observing. Who knew a few pieces of stolen eggs would make for a decent midday meal. But now...to wash it down. The King's Cloud drifted above the milling robots lazily, Sun's eyes squinting as a servebot made it's way from the kitchen carrying a glass of...something.

"Ah, there we go..." he muttered, his cloud dissipating beneath him as he steadily float down to rest on the bot's shoulders...much like the way he took to the eggs earlier. Plucking his staff from behind his ear, Sun extended it to about 6 inches and blew on it, hollowing it out in the middle, creating a straw for himself. Then leaning down gingerly theMonkey man began to sip from the glass of wine as the bot made it's way toward the intended customer.

Sun Wu raised a brow as his straw made the empty sound of struggling to pick up the remaining drops of wine from the rounded glass...The servebot coming to a stop behind Eleniel.

The King immediately shrunk his staff and slipped it behind his ear, as he looked left and right for a way out while the woman's back was turned. Trying to remain quiet as he hopped on the next servebot passing by and rode him a small distance down the length of the counter, hopping back over the counter and onto a stool...whistling faintly as if he had been there the whole time, using his staff as a toothpick of sorts. Keeping a sideways look on Eleniel as the bot placed an empty glass next to her.

Sun Wu couldn't help but chuckle as he heard the complaint of the nearby human, sending the bot back to the kitchen...The King would rub his bare stomach for a moment. Found lunch, a bit to drink, and got myself a bit of money...I'd call that a good afternoon, he thought to himself.

He sprung out of his stool and lift his hands to about shoulder level, wiggling his fingers before casting them out in front of him and muttering, "Poof!" The water vapor of the surrounding area accumulating to form the King's Cloud. Sun took a short hop and crossed his legs as he sat atop his Cloud, wrapping his tail about his waist to keep it from dragging as he drifted lazily toward the door. A smile parting his lips as he eased the door open and drift down the alleyway...

Sun Wu gently pushed open the door of Gambit's with an outstretched arm. The King lay along his Cloud, drifting lazily into the bar, his head hanging off of what appeared to be the edge of the vapor, giving Sun an inverted view of the patrons. His tail sway back and forth at the other end of the Cloud, careful to not get caught in the shutting door as they float along.

What do you know...I would end up here, hungry again, Sun thought to himself...Thinking about swindling another patron out of a meal, as he had done before. Adjusting the golden threaded vest, the King sat up while his ride drifted toward the bar counter. Think I'll raid the kitchen...Yep, he nodded affirmatively, plucking his 'staff' from his ear.

Sun Wu lift his chin ever so slightly as he begin to pick up quite a few scents about the bar area, "Hmmmm..." The King's cloud dissipated as he hopped onto a stool...sniffing left, right, left again. He smelled the alcohol about, of course...but it was much harder than the stuff he was used to drinking...And no one seemed to be ordering anything to eat this evening...

Definitely kitchen raid time, Sun thought, latching on to the nearest passing robot server as he has done so many times already and riding atop the bot's head toward the swinging kitchen door. Licking his lips as he imagined the fruit, vegetables, maybe even some cooking meat that may be behind the door that led into the kitchen...

Sun Wu shoved open the door of the kitchen as the bot entered, feasting his eyes on the activity going on...despite the bar outside being relatively slow. The King slipped his toothpick sized staff into the corner of his mouth and hopped about weightlessly, pressing his bare feet against the head of each bot as he neared the smaller storeroom in the back, finally dropping to the ground and slipping inside.

A moment or two later Sun pushed open the door again, sitting atop the shoulders of another servebot, biting into an apple in his left hand while his right arm cradled several more kinds of fruit...except for bananas. That would've been too...predictable. As he sank his elongated canines into another bite of the apple, Sun froze as his golden gaze flickered over a woman...Meira. Had she been watching him this whole time? Was she a cop? the King remained frozen in his pose as the bot continued on it's route, his eyes sticking to the woman.

Sun Wu chew his bite of the apple in slow motion it seemed, his eyes narrowing into slits as they shifted back to their normal, greenish hue. The King quickly finished off the apple and placed the core on a serving tray of another passing robot. His free hand came up to scratch the hole in the cartilage of his right ear...She's definitely a cop or something, he thought as she neared, deciding to ditch his ride on the robot.

He stood lithely on the bot's shoulders and lift his free arm as he kicked off of the servebot's head, latching on to the lowest hanging rafter. And, with the help of his tail, hoist himself up. He plucked another fruit from his small bundle...A mango this time, taking his initial bite as he continued to eye the woman..She wasn't fooling him. he pondered.

Sun Wu raised a brow as the woman who was keeping surveillance on him seems to have...disappeared. The King rubbed his chin gently, taking another bite out of his mango as he lay the rest of his fruit out along the rafter..he only had 2 or 3 pieces left anyways. He would leave them here for another time...perhaps later tonight.

Sun stretched his arms into a yawn as his tail latched around the thick rafter upon which he sat, then leaning over and slowly lowering himself, by his tail until it was fully extended. He extend his free hand down toward the counter and released the rafter, a faint 'thud' emitting as his palm slapped against the counter, holding the King in a handstand for just a moment before he would lean over toward his right, plopping down onto a barstool...bringing his legs up to cross beneath him.

Sun Wu plucked the last pieces of the mango away from the core and leaned toward another passing waiter bot, dropping off the core on it's serving tray...Such dutiful things, those robots were, he thought to himself wiping his hands on the golden vest as the tip of his tail pushed off of the bar below to slowly spin his stool.

Sun had enough of being impish for the moment, it was time to settle down and relax...But not without a bit of company of course. And he hasn't spoken to anyone since the somewhat angry vampire from earlier. But he did manage a little coin...so he was a good guy in Sun's book...But for tonight, the King's eyes would sweep over the small crowd of Gambit's...

Sun Wu raised a brow as the pale skinned woman entered the bar and found her way to a booth. A familiar feeling dinged the King's senses...the last time he felt it, he ended up trapped for 500 years. But this lady didn't seem as sly as the Buddha had been in tricking him...Besides, what reason would she have to trick him?

As he took stock in the situation, Sun plucked his staff from behind his ear, extending it to the size of an old walking cane, placing it in his lap. He decided that sating his curiosity would be worth the price of overcoming his aversion to deities, which she might have been....But without further thought, the King accumulated his cloud and slid from his stool onto his ride, drifting lazily toward the booth in which Iio was seated.

Sun Wu groaned and fell back on his cloud..."Swing and a miss.." he murmured, latching his hands behind his head as his Cloud drifted him up toward the rafter where he kept the fruit. "So much for not being an Imp," he said as he lift a pear from the row of fruit, taking a generous bite as he allowed himself to slip from the edge of his cloud and back down onto the stool he had chosen earlier.

Sun Wu grinned somewhat gleefully as the sound of cruel words and what seemed to be violence perked his ears. And just as soon as the King looked...it was over..a body slumped in the floor. He sank his teeth into another part of the pear, wiping his nose as he lowered the fruit.

His grin faded as he produced another core for himself to dispose of...With his Cloud not yet dissipated, the King slid from his stool one more time to lay upon his mode of transport, and lazily drift about the perimeter of the bar, tossing the used core up and down in his hand as he gaze up at the ceiling...Being Impish was much more entertaining, he thought.

Sun Wu burst the door of Gambit's open with a gust of his breath, sweeping through the doorway on his favorite mode of transport...though he seemed to be riding it backwards. In his hands his fingers jabbed at something he held in the lap of his crossed legs...Over and over again the King pressed the screen, options sliding across with every tap. His tongue peaking the corner of his mouth as he tried to figure out this...phone.

His Cloud drift through the thin crowd of the bar, swaying between the patrons as Sun finally took his attention away from the device, scratching his extra large ear as he looked about, his cloud coming to a halt at the bar counter...

Sun Wu had finally given up on the phone, crushing the device in his hand and dropping hunk of plastic, silicon, and some glass through his cloud to the floor below. The King clapped his hands together a couple of times to rid his hands of any leftover debris and sighed...Another slow night it seemed. A small group talking amongst themselves...none of which had anything shiny to attract Sun. At least he always had the lovable servebots and the wine reserves to raid in the kitchen.

With a decisive nod, Sun hopped from his Cloud onto a stool at the bar counter, the bots milling about behind it...Always seemingly busy, even though no one was drinking or ordering anything.

Sun Wu moved about behind the bar counter as lithely as he could, swaying between the servebots, occasionally hopping up and leaping from shoulder to shoulder of the bots as he pressed his way toward the kitchen door, his usual place for a nice little snack after a long day.

The King leaned into the swinging door of the kitchen, noticing a few more bots working around....Not like they would stop him. The stone monkey swept through the workers toward the fridge against the wall of the kitchen, wrapping his tail about the handle and giving it a tug. His eyes widening as he took stock of the chilled wine selection...

Sun Wu drummed his fingers together as he spied a bottle of Hua Diao jiu, licking his lips as he leaned into the fridge and snatched the bottle, the King turning around, his tail pushing the door shut behind him. "Oooh, ooh cold.." He said, tossing the bottle between his hands as he sway between the servebots toward the door.

As he slipped back out to the main area behind the counter, Sun lift his tail to neatly wrap about the neck of a nice wine glass, plucking it from the tray of a passing bot as he hopped the counter to rest on a stool, jamming his thumb against the edge of the cork and launching it in a random direction.

Sun Wu let his eyes traced the cork as it seemed to ricochet about the bar...But of course he wouldn't trace it long enough to get spotted. The King turned his stool to face the area behind the counter, whistling faintly as he poured the wine into his glass and...what would he do with the bottle. Stuff it in his vest? Maybe if he had the cork...oh yeah, it went flying.

Sun wagered a glance over his shoulder to see if he could spot it...maybe turn into an insect and retrieve it for himself. He eyed his cork on the table of a women...with a hand over her ear. The imp in him couldn't help but giggle a bit, but still...he should retrieve his cork, he planned on saving this wine.

Leaving the bottle and glass on the counter behind him, Sun slipped from his bench onto his Cloud and swept toward the woman's table, creeping to the edge of the Black Cat's table and pointing to the cork, "Errr...excuse me. But you wouldn't happen to be using this would you?" he inquired innocently

Sun Wu scratched his chin...he had to answer this one carefully or this lady probably wouldn't return said cork. His Cloud would dissipate beneath him, the King's bare feet lowering to the floor as he pressed his hands on the surface of the table, his tail eagerly reaching toward her hand for the cork.

"Hmmm...Speaking hypothetically...If I DID in fact launch the cork...would you give it?" he asked, his right hand reaching up to ruffle his brown hair, "Hypothetically of course."
