A nation under UCON that is primarily made up of non-Scatterran Immigrants into the Coalition that settled into the Azrican Corridor.
A Federation Corporation that specializes in Replicant and Cloning Technology.

Description

Sex: Female
Age: 25
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 127 lbs.
Species: Human
Ethnicity: Edenite Aschen

History:
Valerie Chambers is the current owner of Daedalus Enterprises. It is a company that fuels the Federation with funds for civil services, and manufactures clones as well as Replicants for the Interstellar Fleet. She is considered the Federation's most wealthy woman and civilian; an invaluable asset to the expansion of the nation.

Valerie Chambers was not always on top of the business food chain. Several years ago she did not exist. She was a ghost in the system and served under the former owner of Daedalus Enterprises, Eris Driscoll. The company was being used by Eris Driscoll in order to mediate her own gain. Valerie Chambers was used as a tool in order to further the motivations of the sociopath. The young woman was used to kidnap, torture, interrogate, and if necessary kill a subject.

A complicated and complex relationship with one of these subjects, Vallen Slava, led to Valerie's enlightenment of Eris Driscoll's evil. It was when Vallen finally left Valerie that her eyes were completely open. A determination set into the woman and she began to plot the downfall of Eris.

The mission became Valerie's obsession. She was going to assassinate Eris Driscoll and take the company for herself. Daedalus Enterprises was a powerful company and Valerie did not wish for it to be wasted. She knew that she could turn the corporation around into something used for good.

And Valerie Chambers was successful. Daedalus Enterprises was completely taken over by Valerie. She used the resources the company held to make the immigrant Terrans a better home in the Azrican Corridor.

Her new status as one of the most wealthy and successful business moguls introduced her to Dominic Hagan. It has been rumored many times that the two of them share a quiet relationship. The most notorious exposure both had gotten was during a business mixer held on Terra. The two were seen showing ample public display of affection and then were seen leaving together from the party. No official relationship has been confirmed as of yet.

So begins...

Two bulky men entered the bar holding a chair between them. They grunted and maneuvered into the bar by just plowing through whatever was in their way. Tables, chairs, people were budged aside without too much care. Sitting in the wooden seat that all-too-thick-necked men were carrying was a young man. His face was covered with a black hood and he was strapped into a straitjacket while the drugs he had been administered were beginning to wear off.

The henchmen stopped and dropped the chair without much ceremoniously, causing it to fall over sideways. They grunted again to each other and turned to leave.

Moments later, a young woman entered into the room and she made haste toward Vallen. The hood was removed off of his head and she cradled him against her gently. A determined look was set on her face while Valerie’s fingers deftly unclasped the buckles which held the straitjacket together.

“It’s alright,” she whispered to him. “They can’t hurt you anymore,” Valerie said, comforting Vallen.

Valerie’s brow knitted together while she pursed her lips and shook her head before speaking to Vallen. “I don’t know,” she said to him while brushing some of his bangs away from his brow.

“Two men brought you in and dumped you in the middle of the room. Were you taken prisoner?” Valerie asked him in a kind and gentle voice. Her shockingly violet eyes passed over the black hood that had been over his face and then at the straitjacket before returning to the malnourished Vallen.

“Let me get you some water,” Valerie suggested before asking him, “Can you sit up?”

Valerie gasped and frowned sorrowfully as Vallen groped at her. She placed her hands on his shoulders while he rose to his knees. After a moment of hesitation, Valerie grabbed him with steady hands and help the boy onto his feet, guiding him to a nearby chair.

“Everything will be alright. I will get you some food, I promise,” the girl said to Vallen in the same soothing tone. It was a voice that could be trusted. It was sweet and it was full of innocence.

Easing Vallen down into a chair, Valerie turned to the menu and placed an order for a small portion of food. By the looks of his body, he had been partially starved. A large meal would make him sick.

“What’s your name,” Valerie asked him, her eyes returning to meet his as she stood at his side.

“Gambit’s Bar in Wing City,” Valerie informed Vallen while she ordered a glasses of water. It came far faster than the food. One glass she handed to Vallen with a warning for him to drink it slowly while the other was used to help clean up his face.

She dipped a cloth napkin into the glass and started on the trail of blood near his ear.

“Those men, Vallen, who were they,” she asked. “They came in and just dropped you off in the middle of the room. They looked”—she shuddered in fear—“frightening.” An automaton waiter came and sat down a grilled sandwich for the boy.

Valerie dropped her the damp napkin and it fell into Vallen’s lap while she attempted to catch his hand. It was going to be awful if he kept scarfing down the food that way. “Vallen, no! Stop! You’ll give yourself a stomach ache and throw everything right back up,” Valerie warned before sighing and adding in a more gentle voice, “Eat it slowly and chew it before you swallow, please.”

If he did so, Valerie was going to continue cleaning the dried blood off of his face, but if he didn’t, the girl was going to continue attempting to stop his hand from darting to his face with sandwich between his fingers.

“I have a room upstairs in the hotel. You can some and stay with me. I have an extra room that you can use for as long as you need it, Vallen,” Valerie said while setting the napkin down on the table. She grabbed his hand and tried to coax the boy onto his feet.

“When you wake up we can talk some more and get you another meal.”

"Yes. I understand Director. He is still sleeping," Valerie said into her mobile. The girl's fingers toyed with a lock of her own hair. "No," she said again, "He knows nothing." Her voice had dropped into a bare whisper while her stunningly violet eyes looked to the closed door that Vallen slept behind.

"I can do that, Director. Yes. Goodbye," Valerie said before closing her mobile and tucking it into her pants pocket. The young lady wore a loose hanging colorful blouse and sandles to go along with her denim pants. Her wavy hair had been allowed free to dangle around her shoulders. A light brush of makeup touched her face and accented her girlish beauty.

Valerie walked over to the door of the room which Vallen was staying in and she knocked lightly before opening the door. "Vallen," she called in her sweet voice before entering into the room.

Valerie blinked before her eyes opened wide while watching Vallen. She rushed over to his side and plopped down on the bed beside him. Her fingers were hesitant to reach out for Vallen, but just for a breath in time. Valerie placed a hand on the side of his throat just beneath his jaw and her other hand over one of his.

"Vallen," Valerie said in a frightened voice. "Tell me what to do. I don't know what to do." Tears filled her eyes and her chin quivered. The girl sat there, unsure of what she needed to do in order to calm him. She could not even tell what was wrong with Vallen. He looked to be in pain but Valerie could not recognize what kind it may have been.

"I'm here, Vallen," was all she could say and offer.

Valerie's hands fell away from the young man and she nodded. "There's some of my brother's clothes in the close that should fit you, more or less," she said while looking Vallen over. "He was about your size, I think. You're free to use them if you want and there may be some of his shoes in there too," she added. Valerie's shoulders sagged and she sighed before turning her face away from him. Her hair hide her expression from Vallen but if he leaned over enough, he would see a pained look on her face.

"He's not here anymore so he won't mind if you use them," Valerie said before standing up from the edge of the bed. She went over and opened the closet door before walking back across the room to leave.

"The washroom is the next door down. After you're finished we'll go and get you something to eat," Valerie said before disappearing from Vallen's room.

Valerie looked up from her book and matched the young man's frown, though hers was filled with more confusion than Vallen's. She closed her book and set it aside on the table nearby before rising from the armchair.

"Why would you need weapons, Vallen," Valerie asked him before she noticed him in her brother's clothes. Her breath was caught in her throat for a moment and Valerie clenched her fist in front of her chest. Her violet eyes dropped to the floor.

"You're going to go out for revenge on those two men, aren't you," she asked him in a small voice.

There was a reason she was clenching a fist in front of her chest. The smallest sliver of a silver chain shined in the light and she drew the rest of it out from beneath her blouse. It was a plain silver locket, tarnished from age. Valerie dropped it and let it hang against her shirt.

"Valerie. Valerie Chambers, and we were in Gambit's Bar last night. It's downstairs," she said before speaking again in a more hurried voice, "Vallen, look. Please don't go out for revenge. If you do ..." She closed her eyes and stood there with that same pained expression on her face.

"You may not come back. Enough people die in Wing City as it is. Everyone just murders people for no reason or for some self justified reason. It's not right."

Valerie came running down the stairs after Vallen. After he had stormed out of her hotel suite, the girl had paused in shock. It had given Vallen a headstart before her mind told her to follow him.

"Vallen! Vallen, don't," Valerie's plea was cut off as she spotted him at the bar counter. She fell silent and slowly approached him from behind. Valerie's chest pressed against Vallen's back and she wrapped her arms around him. The lingering scent of her brother on the clothes he wore made Valerie hold a little tighter to vallen.

"I'm sorry," she whispered, "I didn't mean to make you so upset. I just try to take care of people as much as I can because I promised my brother and I don't want anyone else dying if I can help it."

"Sorry," she mumbled back while drawing away from the boy. Valerie slipped into a stool next to him and pulled out a credit card. It was slipped through the menu and Vallen's meal was paid for in full.

"I guess something bad must have happened to you since you're so set on getting revenge. Those men though," Valerie said with a small shudder of her shoulders. "They were very large. I don't know how you can fight them and win. As your friend, I hope that you decide to not go after them."

"Maybe if you explained more ..."

Valerie heaved another sigh and thrummed her fingers on the counter while biting her lip in thought. Her violet eyes trailed over to Vallen and something seemed to break inside of Valerie.

"Vallen ... I'm sorry," she said. "I haven't been entirely honest with you. I was just scared to let you know. Your memory has been tampered with. It's why you are feeling so lost and frustrated right now."

"We've met before. Your mother, Harmonia," Valerie began to explain, "we were very close. Our families were close. Vallen, we were ... betrothed. You and I are supposed to get married but your father did not like this as it challenged his power; a power you would one day inherit."

"You were taken away from your mother and me by your father and some of his hired thugs. My brother tried to go after you but he was ... he was killed before he could even get near. We had to bargain for your life and it cost you your memories. Those men last night that dropped you off were your father's men," Valerie admitted while her fingers clutches at the bar counter's edge so tight that her knuckles turned bone white.

"I didn't mean to keep this all from you but you were in pain. I just didn't want to cause more ..."

"Vallen," Valerie said in a wounded tone. There were tears in her eyes and it made the girl look fragile. "When someone tampers with your memory, it doesn't just affect that part of you. It affects all of you. Your very spirit is damaged and pieces of who you are break. Your spirit knows that someone had invaded and taken something from you or manipulated it to their will, taking your free will away from you, Vallen."

"Can you honestly look at me right now Vallen and say that you feel nothing for me," Valerie asked him while her eyes darted between his own. They were desperate for him to remember what they had between each other.

"Can you really look at me and tell me my brother's death was for nothing? That you won't even try to remember or mend what was taken from you?" Tears slid down her pale cheeks.

"I'm not asking you to love me again because I know that's impossible right now. You've been changed against your will because your father did not want you rising above him before it was your time. My father's name and your father's name would have given you a great amount of power and Kovalenko saw it as a threat for when you came of age," Valerie stated while vallen ate his food.

"Your mother was killed by Daedalus and your father works for them. He killed her in cold blood so that he could continue to reign over his fortune like some mad king. I can help you get your revenge but you have to believe in me, believe what I am telling you is true. I would never lie to you. I love you and I loved your mother as my own blood," Valerie said while taking the delicate locket from around her throat.

She opened it and slid it toward Vallen. Inside was a miniature portrait of Harmonia and Valerie standing together with beautiful smiles on their faces.

"If you just try, for one moment, to believe me, I can help you get your revenge on your father without putting you in danger."

Valerie nodded. "You may stay for as long as you need to stay, Vallen. My home is your home and you are welcome in it for as long as you please," the young woman said while putting the locket back around her throat. Valerie tucked it back into her blouse for safe keeping.

"You'll tell me what you're going to do, right," the girl asked him while hesitantly touching his forearm with her fingers. "I don't ... I just couldn't bare it if I woke up and you were gone again."

"Yes," she said in a somber tone. "They're all dead along with my brother. I'm the closest thing to family you have left aside from your murderous father." Valerie drew her hand away from him and stood from her seat. It was then that her exhaustion showed in full force. There were bags beneath her eyes as well as dark circles. Valerie's posture slouched and her movements were sluggish by a fraction more.

"I ... I'm tired Vallen. I am going to head back upstairs to get some rest. I didn't get too much sleep because I was watching over you last night to make sure you were alright," Valerie said while reaching out for him. Her hand faltered and she pulled back away as if afraid to be rejected by Vallen.

Valerie turned and headed back to the stairs, her head hung low.

It wasn't long before the engine of a sleek and powerful motorbike was heard shutting off outside in Gambit's parking lot. Valerie pulled off her polished black helmet and zipped down her leather coat, revealing a red tank top that went along well with her denim pants. The adrenaline from riding made a smile linger on Valerie's face and she strode into the bar confidently.

It didn't take her much effort to recognize Vallen and the young woman made way for him immediately with a passing glance to the others in the room. She set down her helmet and riding jacket on a chair before Valerie sat down next to the boy.

"I was closer than I realized. Were you waiting long," she asked him.

"Good. I don't like making people wait for me," Valerie said while her extremely violet eyes watched Vallen pour them a glass of wine. The smile still lingered on her lips.

"So I realized when I left this morning that you might have questions for me, Vallen. I really didn't give you a chance to ask them last night. I feel really bad about that, especially since I pressed a lot of information on you," the girl admitted while reaching out to touch him lightly on the shoulder.

Valerie gently removed her hand from his arm and placed it in her lap while the other reached for her own wine glass. "I have an intership at an office downtown. I mostly run errands for coffee and deliver mail to the other employees. It's not too much fun but it pays my bills," Valerie said before taking a sip of the wine. It was sweet and tart at the same time but not dry. Vallen had picked a good flavor.

"So, what did you do today," the girl asked in return.

Valerie's eyes dropped down to the sketch and a sad smile was seen. Her finger touched the image of Vallen on the piece of paper. The girl appeared genuinely sad at the depressing depiction.

"Maybe," Valerie said. "You took a heavy spiritual attack. Your memory and your spirit are tainted. But, then again, there could just be a blockage or repression of this person." Valerie touched the blank figure. The girl sighed and shook her head with furrowed brows.

She blinked when their food had arrived and she pushed the picture away from her before Valerie slid a set of cutlery toward Vallen. "You should eat," she suggested before she leaned over and gave him a chaste kiss on his cheek before tucking into her own meal.

Valerie took a small bite and chewed it thoroughly before taking a sip of wine as well. She dabbed the corner of her mouth with the paper napkin supplied by a dispenser in the middle of the table. When Vallen spoke, the girl looked over at him and asked, "What would you like me to do?"

Valerie's eyes swept over the two boys with a living doll and ignored them. She had no time for play. Valerie returned her attention to Vallen and smiled at him sweetly.

"So you want me to sleep with you," Valerie said with mirth. He was very cute when uncomfortable. "When we were younger, before we were arranged to be married, we used to fall asleep together right in front of your mother's hearth. We were inseparable as children," Valerie said.

"I wouldn't mind sharing a bed with you again, Vallen," she admitted with a light brush of pink across her cheeks. Valerie lifted her glass of wine to hide it.
