Setting
The faint stench of blood still clings to where stains survive to this very day; against ragged stone walls and in rusting iron cells. The Jailor's office is cut off by a locked wooden door and in the torture chamber, a skeleton still lies upon the stone slab on which he died. Monstrous tools are strewn around and levers and chains line the walls and hang from the ceiling.

"Do you thirst, or hunger? I do believe there is some flesh left upstairs."
"Have you at least left the dungeons?" He peered to see if she was shackled in any way with a minor frown. "You don't belong down here, as brethren."
"In case it's locked, I'll be up where It isn't so," He looked around and chuckled.
As the phantom haunted the chasm of death and despair, the air grew cold and bitter. He drank in the sorrow and agony that dripped from the walls like sweet nectar. Long dagger-like claws scraped the moss-covered walls, leaving gruesome gashes like talons against bones. A dark fog swayed across the ground and stirred like the sea. From his bestial maw rumbled a ghostly moan that would awaken every cursed soul in the building with cold sweat drenching their foreheads.
Taking the form of a boy, of ten perhaps, with eyes red from what could have been tears, he followed the trail of the thing. As he came in contact with the fog, he would go rigid and hiss. The boy recoiled slightly, not appearing hostile, before turning those eyes to the center of the fog.
Who lurks here?
"Who indeed?" replied a ghostly voice. A cold breeze drifted past Manik, followed by a distant muffled cackle.
He spat with more urgency,What lurks here?
Why have you come?
"As for purpose..." Nightgaunt continued. "I have come on a mission of observation... and to seek an audience."
No, he did not like this.
Manik would prove an audience enough for now. What is your name, and why do you watch?
But communion?
Communion wasn't that interesting. This creature, this powerful entity here, had sought out the Vankoryth Detente for union. Manik was slowly realizing he had underestimated the power of the Detente. They were more than just a rabble of blood suckers. They were an entity.
Manik smiled, holding fast this gem of information to use later. Then, it dawned on him.Is that so?
From where he was his eyes bulged, clinging to the edge of the stone, a child overcome with malice or joy.How much have you heard, of us?
"Now..." Nightgaunt glared daggers into the boy's head. "I know you are not their leader. You do not have the smell for it. Now, pardon the cliche..."
"Take me to your leader!" the phantom sneered.
He hissed back, shrinking away into the shadows, crawling up the stairs from the dungeons. He would find a leader, one of them, for he obviously didn't prove worthy. He almost sulked as he shuffled out of the dungeons and bellowed through the kitchens for,Yes,
Could he have been more sarcastic? Manik beckoned the dark form to follow him.Master of the Castle!
Zosimos was to be officially escorted to Wing City for pre-trial holding. He himself had given up fighting back, confined with a magical device that didn't allow him to commit crime not atrocity, nor anything type of violence. He had been surviving off of rats, and the finger and toe scraps of what Daemala didn't always want. Usually rotted to the bone, but he relished the flesh regardless.
Two large vampires- members of the Forces Vankoryth, strong of blood in their own abilities to easily overpower the weakened he- grabbed a hold of him be either of his arms and wrestled him out of the cell in the Dungeon. Dank drips echoed where his screams failed to reach, before his silence was commanded with a knock to the head.
Oh how far Zosimos had fallen. He could not shape shift. The shadows were no longer his home. He was in his weakest form-practically a mortal, and for the crimes of what?
Daemala wasn't here, and for that he was glad. None of the Sangue di Bistreo were present, though they'd be at the trial. Whose side would they take? Their ancestor? Or those who accuse him of what?
