Draco nodded a the description of the old Brass Dragon. "Yes that's him." He said calmly. At the mention of he battle, he nodded. "First I toyed with her; then I grew bored, and began to destroy her, corrupting one limb at a time until only her heart and head were left." He paused.

"That's when... it intervened." He said. He raised his arm, a bolt of shadow-lightning slamming through the ground towards his body. Suddenly it was repulsed back as a bolt of pure light, slamming into the cave wall. "The Light, and it's servants intervened, and struck down my weakened form. Then The Light Itself tore what you see now from my body; ensuring I would never again return to full power. It's servants sealed my body here, It's students sealed my soul in their temple." he growled.

He looked to the pedestal, and nodded. "She did. I could have killed her and her apparent mate there, but...something stopped me. Pride, I assume. I want to fight that....whore when she's at her best. Just to see her crumble." He clenched his fist.

"Taris...report to your mother; tell her I'm here. I need her .... ideas." he paused before he sat in the chair again, and stared into the flames.

Darkness fell upon the mountain range.

The steady drumbeat that had dominated the mountains for years stopped. And deep beneath the mountain, the seal began to crack. Draco stood at it, funneling the darkest energies known to ever exist straight into the heart of the seal. A wicked smile on his face as he laughed. The Seal of light could not stand against such unwavering darkness, and so it cracked. And as soon as it did, Draco stopped.

His body began to turn to mist once more, being sucked into the cracks of the seal of Light. Finally, Soul and Body were reunited after more than a million years. Full power could be restored at last to the Dragon who'd fallen so far from the Light. Beneath the ice of the cave floor, a single read eye opened, massive in size and in anger, the entire seal shattered.

Draco's thundering, one-million thunderclap roar echoed across the mountains....

A fortress had risen from the remains of the mountain once sealing Draco's body. A mighty and stalwart citadel from which no light escaped. Built into the mountain itself, the complex system of tunnels and roads stretching across the entirety of the fortress supported the massive numbers of Draco's Legion. Three walls surrounded the inner fortress, the first wall being at the mouth of the valley, the second being half way between the mouth and the fortress wall itself, which of course was around the main fortress of the citadel.

Buildings littered the areas between the walls, and a great castle of darkness rose from behind the third wall, the interior stretching back into the rock of the mountain behind it. In its deepest chasm lay the throne room of Draco. Kobolds of massive and distorted size patrolled the roads and walls of the citadel endlessly and without tire. Along the mountains were countless watch towers and guard posts manned by the immortal legion of Shadows.

A fortress capable of withstanding all out war between all Dragon-kind stood before the world now, and it's king was busy.

The unearthly almost etheral shriek of kethends roar echoed over the valley that housed the vasion legions and many Kobold armies under her husband and herself.

Kethend spotted her target far off, with her draconian sight she knerw her target, a massive eagle, carring a Red Dragon in its talons. her source! With a shriek of power, Kethend zoned in on Ulnaus, and disappear into nothing before reappearing dead in the massive eagles tracks.

She smirked seeing the state of the red, Claewd up face, shot out fears, hands, feet, knees, the Red wasnt healing either, Kethend growled knowing why, antimagic rounds. But whythe clawed up face ?

It didnt matter, Kethend crashed into Ulnaus with all the speed of a 787 airbus without brakes and the two tussled before she managed to get him to drop his cargo, with a shriek Kethend dove and snared the Red and flew off fast. Back to home. She had information to get.

Besides, only one person had antimnagic rounds enough to take on a Dragon and live to tell about it.

How was he still alive ?

Draco paced back and forth within his study. The attack on the Business District, while successful on a basic level, was a wake up call to him. There were those who could provide a match for him at full strength on this planet, and those who could overwhelm him he slipped up for even a second. But here, within his palace, able to withstand an all out war between all of Dragonkind, he was safe from most everything.

Built into the very rock of the mountain range, the entire inner valley was a maze of walls, streets, buildings, courtyards, and other fortifications. It would take the Forces of Light one million years to conquer it all before reaching the main Citadel of Draco's palace, and then that was a different story entirely.

All that aside, Draco was not happy. Discontent with the result of the battle, he grumbled to himself as he paced. The wall of his study was one large blackboard. Plans upon plans were scrawled out upon it, every detail, every counter measure, every counter to every counter he could think of for his plans, everything. Draco was two things: A plotter, and a Doer. While his mate was mainly a plotter, as was his youngest daughter, and his elder daughters and youngest son were all doers, he was both; a perfect balance almost. He had the patience to spin webs of plans that would span millennia, but also the power and know-how to make those plans happen by force if need be, which most of the time, needed to happen.

This last plan; a simple harvest in broad terms, had succeeded when one looked at it broadly, as many of his underlings tended to do. The finer intricacies of the plan however; the forming of the portal, the protection of it, and the counter-measures used against the Emperor of Mankind and his forces, most of them had failed. And he had one person to blame for the failure of the Portal: Kethend.

It was her job to intercept all enemy forces heading to the portal, and she failed. He snarled and turned to her as she entered his Study, his coat flared out and his eyes glowed crimson, his hands behind his back as he bared his teeth, skin rippling with scales.

"You know why I summoned you?" he growled out, expecting a quick answer.

Kethend at that moment wrenched the remains iof a spear that still glowed with light energy, one of the Grey Knights had managed to lodge it pretty deep before she empaled the freak on her shasdowy spikes. She flung the offending item away, there were six burn marks clearly visible on her body; the pale skin burnt black and raw, shadows covering her as she reached for another offending light based weapon sticking into her and wrenching it out.

"Yes" Was the only word she spoke, she never hissed in pain as she wrenched out yet another offending eweapon. Finalyl she said. "When She banished me to the Aaetherspace, my powers dimnisihed greatly. Had I the chance to do so I'd have summoned my own Aaethersepace Kobolds to aid you." Finally she wnreched out the last offending speartip from her stomach and held it up.

Looking at the still glowing in golden energies of blessed light power she growled, "Where did freaks of heavy armor, slow yet.... swarming.... get such powerful blessed weapons ?" She wondered aloud

Ok so the main thing being she was banished for thirty years, her shadowmagic was weak due to the banishment; but she was never torn from her body. So why was her magic so weak ?

"There were weight of them, I slew two, they called in more.... then dared to touch me with.... these!" She held up the still glowing weapon before throwing it aside where her shadows destroyed it with a loud POP of glass exploding. "The Portal was nearly opened when they ordered a swarm! Against a swarm in this state I cannot hold for long. I should have summoned the Aaetherspace Kobolds I had created. let them swarm the enemy and I help you against..... it" She didnt dare say the title of the creature that dared strike at her beloved mate

kethend though never looked to her mate, she could feel his anger, she loved him with her whole being, and she knew that deep within himself he loved her. It was why she had learned the same magic he had on her own, turning herself into a Shadiowblack Dragon like him to be with him forever. Their offspring, five children, all of them in a way somehow or another incompetent ikn many things, had however succeeded in finding her, atl east waking up in her sons bar was stranger than hell.

Draco snarled at the presence of the Blessed weapons and at her words; were he not whole, he would literally be fuming. "Your time in the Aetherspace has made you weak." he said flatly once she was finished explaining herself. He sighed upon her question of how they attained such weapons, and turned away.

"They claim to be the protectors of Mankind, their abilities are to be commended - not many can stand up to the Legion of Shadows and live to tell the tale. And even in your despicably weakened state, not many should be able to stand up to you." he turned his head gently to glare at her from over his shoulder.

He held up a hand to stop her from talking as she spoke of the portal, and turned to her, coat flaring out. Within a blink he was at her throat, aiming grab her throat with his hand. If successful he'd lift her off the ground with ease, not squeezing, but lifting her and holding her firmly as he snarled. Her body would burn tremendously as he pumped pure unbridled Shadow magic into her body. While they were both Shadow Dragons, his magic, being the older and more potent, did not mix well with hers. If she was to survive, she would need to shift the focus his magic to become her own if she wanted to survive the next week.

After a few seconds of forcing his Corrupting magic into her body, he dropped her to the ground. And returned to his neutral position of hands behind his back. "Grow stronger and overcome this. I don't need to tell you what happens if you cannot." he said. Truth be told, she wouldn't be killed by it, only severely weakened further, or worse yet, turned into a puppet for Draco to command. He turned and moved to the window overlooking the valley, and stared out of it, waving his hand for the Shadowlings to grab Kethend and take her to his bedchambers for her to heal.

The Observation Tower had a three-hundred-sixty degree view of Draco's Palace, the surrounding Fortress, and now, the new Drydocks from which his Ships were being constructed, starting with his mightiest, and most powerful ship: The Drakon Class Command Airship. Equipped with five turrets, each containing four forty inch barrels, and countless 12 inch secondary batteries that acted as additional Anti-Air fire power, this ship was designed to bring down everything that the Forces of Light had at their disposal, save for the Light Bringers, as Draco had no way of knowing about them.

He smiled as he looked down through the window at his creation, it would be glorious. With a massive fleet to call his own, he would be unstoppable when it came to defeating Light and claiming this World for himself. But first, he needed to build his fleet, and that would take time. Time he had; Dragons were Immortal, time was nothing to them.

He stood with his hands behind his back, a large smile on his face, when the door opened, and he turned to look over his shoulder to his wife. "You've survived. Or have you come to tell me that you're about to die?" he asked her, not harsh, but cold, and with a very slight hint of contentedness that she was still alive.

Three weeks ago she would have simply healed herself from the strange blessed injuries over her own time. Three weeks ago she'd be telling her beloved how much she had hoped to see him anew, be able to hold him in her arms, to kiss him. But she wasnt able to. No, he had tested her.

So for three long weeks she simply sat and meditated. Shadows, her own and that of her beloved mixed and blending together soon became hers. Three weeks of nothing but meditation, no food, no water, nothing. Just, meditation. Focus.

When the three days were up she heard things happening across the fortress, her yellow ringed red eyes sprang open. Her beloved had returned. His power that he had given into her, to try and corrupt her, didnt do just that. It made her stronger. She left her chambers and went to find her beloved

She simply stepped right up to him, and instead of answering him, she planted a kiss, dead on his lips, a happy kiss at that. Whewn the kiss was over she smiled "Yes..... I survived. Because of you. my love for you, the mere thought of never seeing you again...." Kethend survived her ordeal, she hugged Draco tightly. "Three weeks of meditation, three weeks of thought. I looked back on my banishment..... Because of you I endured it, I knew that when the time was right we'd be together again. And we are. I was afraid that if I died from your power, I would never be with you again. It is because of you, my beloved, that I survived." her eyes said it all. "I love you." She leaned in for another kiss.

The Shadow Lord turned towards his Queen as she approached him, and at the kiss, he let out a startled grunt, blinking. She'd caught him off guard, though it wasn't unwelcome. His hands gently caressed her as she hugged him. Smiling, his expression went from stern to soft, gentle, happy.

"I see your power has tripled, as well. Very good, my Shadow Queen. You are still worthy of that title...and of my love." his voice was even softer. He kissed her again as she leaned in, and when it broke, he kept one arm gently around her hip, and walked with her to the window, gesturing broadly at the Fleet of Shadows, well, its Flagship: The Drakon Class.

"Named for the Drakons; from which We Dragons were created, in an effort to control their power against The Precursors, this ship will be able to crush all who oppose us." he said. He turned to her, admiring the look of awe on her face from seeing the massive ship. "This one will be mine. But soon, I will build your own Drakon Class, and it's own fleet to go with it." he said with a smile. He leaned in to kiss her cheek gently.

"But with all things, my Love, you will need to earn it." he stepped away from her and looked over the blueprints of the massive Capital Ship, fingers grazing the desk in the observation room gently. "Tell me, My Shadow Queen, you had an army in the Aetherspace, did you not?"

The sun was crisp as it edged over the rocky horizon. Pine needles crunched under the horse's large hooves as it tromped along through a clearing surrounded by large trees. Thellyn yawned and patted it's muscular neck before sliding off onto the frosty ground.
"This looks good. We'll set up here for now. At least until I can figure out this damn magic map."
In her hands she held a tattered parchment to the sky, letting the sun shine through the back of it. Apparently, it was supposed to show the surroundings of wherever they were, but it was only showing up as faded green splotches that looked nothing like the landscape.
The servants riding behind her dismounted their steeds and began loading supplies onto the ground. The tents went up quickly and efficiently, and a little campfire crackled cheerfully in no time. Behrik, one of the servants, strode towards her casually.
"Have you tried scrubbing it?" He asked, with a slightly amused tone in his voice.
"What do you mean 'scrubbing' it?" Said Thellyn with a puzzled grunt.
Behrik plucked the map from her hands and picked up a handful of dirt from the ground. From a clutched fist, he let the dirt trickle down onto the map in a steady stream, shaking it every once in a while. He then proceeded to rub his palm over the page in a circular motion until the green splotches turned to delicately detailed mountains. After giving it a light blow to clean it off, he handed it back to her.
"That's incredible!" She exclaimed, flattening it onto her lap. "Look, that's us!" Her thin hand pointed to three small circles that followed them wherever they went. "That's me, there's you, and this one must be Kandor!" They looked over at Kandor, the other servant, who was humming to himself as he tended the fire. Thellyn folded the map into eighths and slipped it into her breast pocket. Rising to her feet, she jogged over to the fire and found a nice rock to sit on. So far things weren't going too bad, and the mountains presented an incredible view. She wondered if anyone else was around.

So the man appeared to be confident in where he’d planned on journeying, at least he could find some sense of comfort in that. Not entirely, of course, in lieu of the man’s sudden need to present himself in a more profound nature; alluding to one of two things. Confidence, or lack thereof. Regardless, knowing full well the caliber he sat comfortably in, Vegeshin found little concern as to the where, the why, or any threats. He could, likely, deal with the lot of it as it came up. His primary goal was to keep the lot of them as safe as he possibly could, no matter what trials were faced and he’d do just that.

“Fair enough.” He silently replied, before following the man through the enigmatic portal that lay before them. At this point, Vegeshin casually began to toss caution into the wind. The man, in question, that he’d taken this job from seemed far from the type to collude with his elder sibling. He didn’t fit the mold, and so the lavender hued mixed blood allowed himself the pleasure of dismissing his uneasiness.
Humor could be found, though, in the fact that Vegeshin had promptly followed the man through, and so upon Christopher calling out that it had been safe to cross; Vegeshin couldn’t help but stare at the man with a blank expression. “As I can see, yes it is. Wouldn’t it have been a bit more...Mmnn…” He began, then faltered and allowed his words to fall away, waving a dismissive hand in the fellows direction. “Nevermind.” He added with a sudden chuckle.

He allowed himself a swift stretch, limbering up a mild bit, before feeling out his surroundings. Sensory perception of all five senses seemed normal, with his sixth sense of sorts, Ki Sensory, responding as normal as anywhere else. It did, truly, appear to be safe, at least according to what he could perceive. “Quite the sight to see. It’s not often I travel outside of civilization here on Terra.” He murmured to himself before turning to Christopher. “I’ll be but a moment; that said if you’ve anything important to say, remember it and relay it to me when I return to the ground…” He mentioned.

To the ground? Indeed. Without hesitation, nor a second thought, he left the surface and began to rise upward into the air. Levitation, or flight. Various individuals considered it various different things. He knew it as Bukujutsu, or the ability to manipulate one’s Ki so as to allow themselves flight. His goal seemed merely to be an extended reconnaissance of the area. His eyes could only peer so far in the current vicinity, with trees and other flora and fauna acting as hindrances. He’d only be a moment, though, and left the floor to Christopher so as to not hold up any important conversational pieces he might happen to have.
