Seikleja Guild Hall
The Sieklega Guildhall isn't as impressive as other places, it has a large silver frame set in the center back of the hall, inscribed with runes that gives anyone who approaches it a feeling of vertigo. A large table in the right corner with dozens of hand-drawn maps, from familiar ones to the locals and strange alien locales from other dimensions, the left has a large room filled with comfortable bunk beds, behind that is a room guarded with a small vault door. Another door leads to an armory with a forge and grinder. Finally the frame has a section above it that intersects with a small patch of stained glass roofing with a smaller section of levitating rings that filter sunlight into the portal itself, and in front of the portal are small sections of flooring that are designed to pop up if the portal ever brings something horrid into the world of Gaia.

The man came to a halt once more, turning his head towards his new dwarven companion and nodding. "Of course," he stated, "I would not expect one to go without the protection he needs in these dark times." He turned to head towards the armoury with an attempt to spark up conversation. "Are you a soldier?" he asked.
The dwarf was looking at some dwarven plate armor when he heard the question. He silenced from a moment, but then he answered with a very serious tone. "I guess you could call me a soldier. I fought enemies on my home planet. We had a civil war there, which killed my parents. Now there is an official peace between the houses, but we still fight. The fighting there never stops. Every little dwarf learns to fight with the axe and the shield. One day, our defenses will break." He realized he was carried away with the story, revealing too much. Probably he drank too much ale again. He took the plate armor and tried it on.
The comment of 'home planet' did not seem to phase Lord Bale. "Someday the fighting ends, Drahn." It sounded like words of experience, ironic since he was probably younger than the dwarf. He was certainly not an old human, with only the smallest of lines crinkling his head even when he scowled. "It is my goal to see an end to the conflict that plagues all worlds."
Drahn smiled a little by the comment made by this lord Bale. "You're naive Lord Bale. How long have you been in this live? How many worlds have you seen being destroyed by conflicts? You're a green one. For a human you may be average of age. But for me your age is just that of a young dwarf." He silenced a little, hoping that his cynicism didn't offended the man too much. "So I got my armour. The axe and shield I will keep. Now we can go on."
Bale's brow lowered as his mouth raised. "Young... I am," he answered, turning away from the armoury and heading on for the door. "My father was an idealist, Drahn. He gathered his allies and friends from a time gone to slay a Beholder, thus starting the nine-eyed order. I wish to follow in his steps and put an end to what evil I can, with my fists if I must."
He suddenly grew more sober, which almost seemed ironic in comparison to the casual way he spoke of his likely dead father. "If I do not remain idealistic, then what hope does this world have?"

Drahn noticed how the warrior seemed to have a sensitive side, not something you would expect of someone looking like that. "I'm sure your father was a great man. And it's noble to slay evil. But I learned that there isn't such thing as evil itself. I fought a men once, a warrior of the other house. I killed him and when he was dying, he asked me to send a letter to his wife. He wasn't a bad man, he was just born into the wrong house. My father was killed trying to reach an idea of peace and harmony in the world. but as long as dwarfs remain dwarfs and stubborn, there will never be peace with us. Maybe you humans are different."
Drahn reached for his horn, noticing that it was still empty. He grumbled a bit and walked out of the armory. "Come on, I'm getting thirsty. Let's go looking for a inn, or what you call it here, get drunk and sing the best songs that exist."

Millicent nodded. "Agreed. Let us leave the discussion of right and wrong to scholars and priests," he said with a wave of his hand, as if to dismiss the subject, "And instead tell tales of heroism of our families."
