Setting
There is also a good ammount of food provided by the Silver Palace kitchens during events that occur here, the tables never run empty
Lucian Segal would lead them, stepping out onto the stage in his armor, sword strapped to his waist.
Waiting for them all was a woman, unsurprisingly, with hair that was silver. Much like the palace. She was in a layered black gown, which trailed upon the ground. When she took notice of the newcomers, she smiled.
"What a surprise this is. Have you brought me some new competitors, Lucian?" the woman asked. The paladin grinned and nodded.
"Why, yes-" He looked back to the two, hand stretched out toward the silver-haired woman. "This, gentlemen, is Tien, Queen of Vien, and my Queen these two are...er..."
He seemed to of forgotten.
Aeryn - himself silver haired - grinned broadly, casting his eyes around at the impressive architecture and whistling. "Nice place you've got here."
Well, that was extremely obvious. The problem was in the fact he couldn't actually think of any other way to introduce himself and his intentions. His partner seemed to have done an okay job with it; seeming far more relaxed than he was. Artis, on the other hand, liked to remember he was actually in the presence of a Queen and should behave as such.
She wasn't exactly his Queen, but he knew his place was to be as humble and compliant as possible for as long as his boots were on Vien land.
She smiled to them. "Both of you. Welcome. I do hope you'll enjoy the games. In case you aren't familiar with the rules, Lucian will be happy to tell you once you are in the preparation room. If you need weapons or otherwise, those will be there, as well. The next round is about to begin. Good luck, gentlemen, and thank you."
The silvis shrugged with a grin, "Thanks for the thought, your maj. I'll do my best to put on a good show."
Elante grinned, spotting Aeryn and pointing a finger at him accusingly. "What the hell have I told you about running off and getting into dangerous things?" he called, storming over. He didn't wait for an answer before continuing, prodding the silvis in the chest. "You're meant to invite me along, that's what. You're not the only one who enjoys things like this." Huffing, he folded his arms. "I'm not a total stick in the mud, you know."
Turning his attention to the others assembled, Elante bowed politely, "Sorry about this," he said, smiling slightly embarrassedly, "I'm Elante Vadrillion, I'm a mage from Academia Celestia. This oaf here is my husband. If it's quite alright with you, I'd like to enter this competition too."
He nodded to the Queen also, so to acknowledge that he had listened to her. "Yes, my lady; I entered to prove myself to my fellow knights. I would wield the white flame in their name, and the name of my King, and in the name of the creatures I slay."
Lucien held his hand up, "Ah! Ah, you said I was supposed to tell them!" he snickered, turning to all...three of them?
"Well, this is quite a surprise," he said, crossing his arms as Elante made his appearance. He watched him argue with his...
"Oh. That...that's your...oh." For some reason, Lucian had really expected a woman. Especially with that name. Well. In any case, Tien gave a slight bow in greeting. "Well, the more the merrier." she said, looking to Artis. "An extra hand is always welcome. You might find him helpful, Sir Elerras. We'll be sure to give you more challenging Gargantuan, however. Those that require multiple competitors."
Aeryn nudged Elante in the ribs, "We make a great team, anyway, remember that one time with the robot in the bar?"
Elante smiled, "I'm not joining this out of concern for Aeryn, sir knight, but out of a desire to have some fun myself."
It wasn't really though, because Artis knew the wait would serve only to build the crowd's momentum. Being late was in style, after all.
This fight would be the talk of the town for days to come, and not just because the Champion was a natural born fighter. Mungus had all but forgotten about the Champion until his critical hit. He was much more invested in the scramble for life happening beneath the Gargantua beast.
Mungus was so invested, he didn't even notice his date leave. Where did that orange haired chick even come from? And wait a second-where did she get that helmet?!
His eyes now followed Niira, the woman was strange. Like she had an aura of...peculiarity around her. This interested the Plague Doctor...
