a character in “The Nevillian Wars”, as played by deathrisesagain

Description

Organization: UHO
Chase is only 20 years old, living on a colony half way between the Hybrid planet and the Human planet. He stands five feet nine inches tall, with brown messy hair. His eyes are gorgeous grey color that seems to pierce into someone's soul. His skin is nicely tanned like he worked in the fields all his life. He's thin, weighing only one hundred forty pounds, and his has a six pack set of abs. Chase has a runners build. He's usually found in a blue tee-shirt and black jeans, while wearing a white jacket. He wears a pair of black hiking boots, that only reach his ankles. When he's in uniform, he wears the Special Forces pin and is given the rank of Lieutenant. The pilot uniform is white and blue, with a red turtle neck undershirt. The trousers is white, with blue around the bottom of the legs, and black shoes. The Special Forces pin is made of gold, which has two wings stretching upwards, a sword in the middle with a ribbon underneath which reads "Who Dares Wins".

Personality
Chase is a responsible, kind-hearted person, who tries to find the good parts of any situation. He is usually found laughing, and joking around. He doesn't like to see people upset or sadden, so tries to get them to smile. Chase is the type of person that will put others before him at any time. He very rarely talks about his past, or his problems. He usually keeps those to himself, making him seem a bit secretive. Chase never tells anyone that he's a hybrid, for he doesn't want to be hated for something he had no control over. Chase is trustworthy, and loyal to his friends, and always stands up for them.

Equipment
Chase pilots the S.U.M. known as the Widow.

The Widow was designed and built by Dr Tyler Zai, to defend the neutral colony of Antillia. To keep it out of IHA hands, Dr. Zai sends it to the UHO ships for protection. It's a very complex machine, in having joints everywhere a normal human had a joint. It was designed after a human body, in having the mobility and design. The armour is of Trillanium Alloy, a rare metal only found on certain meteors. The Widow can be explained as a Mech of all Terrain. It can fight in space, in water, in the air, on land and everything in between.

The beam rifle is the preferred weapon of choice for the Widow, and is usually used in the right hand. The rifle can swtich over to the left hand, when the beam saber is being used. The fusion reactor can sustain the unit up to 60 hours of continuing use. It takes about 8 hours for the reactor to fully recharge the weapon units and thrusters.

The Widow has never been in combat, so there are no combat history recorded.

History
Information on Chase's birth is impossible to find, and only his parents know of how he was born. Chase was raised in the Partire family, having three old sisters, the closest being only 10 years older.. He went to bording school when he was little about four years old, all the way till he was to enter high school. Chase found a hobby in bordiny school, building things. Chase learned quickly that he was good at building things. Chase built a small chameleon that actually changes it's colour to camoflague. It mostly sits on his shoulder, but it still walks around the area when it wants. While in the last few years of his time in bording school, the Human-Hybrid war broke out. He didn't understand exactly why it broke out, and why a war needed to be fought. It didn't take long for Chase to hate war, especially what they war was doing to everyone.

After leaving the bording school, Chase was enrolled into high school. He graduated high school really early, when he was only 16. After that he went off to college and was expected to graduate by the end of the year. while he attended college, he worked for a professor in the university, helping with data collection and running tests, as well as helping grade papers and tests, and even giving a few lectures himself. Chase ended up graduating from college, but didn't attend the ceremony because he was busy fighting a war. It didn't take very long for the war to come to an end and Chase left the service and returned home. when he arrived home, he found himself as the owner of his father's company, Meteor Enterpreises. A few years later, another war broke out when the Nevillians attacked. He found that another war was on his door step and wouldn't be long before he's dragged into it.

Image
A picture of the chameleon he made. It's the same size of a chameleon, about eight inches long, and stands three to four inches tall.
(More information of before Chase was with the Patire family will come out in later.)

The Sirvem Mk1 was sitting in the hanger on Vera's 2nd moon. The funny thing about that moon was the fact that it sat on an exactly opposite position in the same orbit as the first moon. With that aside, Sirvem was being worked on by a man wearing an older terrestrial flight armor. More specifically, it was the pilot, Sirec.

The moon bases commander and four others walked about, looking from ship to mech to tank to whatever else happened to be in the hanger. When the group reached Sirvem, Sirec could hear the commander rambling on about how Sirvem was the most advanced and powerful mech in all of Sector 1, not to mention the speech he had that talked about the stealth and non-solid barriers. Sirec had gotten all the fragments of the commander's speech when each part had been added to Sirvem. This was the place that the mech was always upgraded at.

Dropping the invisibility core from Sirvem, Sirec carted it away from the mech. On his last two missions the core had been overheating midway, causing Sirec to get Sirvem out of visible range. He was getting tired of it, and trying to find what was causing the problem would save him a lot of trouble when his next mission came about.

"What are you doing to Sirvem, Sirec?" Asked the commander. It was obvious that he also wanted to show off his genetically enhanced pilot.

"Fixing an overheating problem." Sirec replied, more interested in finding the problem that showing off.

"What have you pulled out?"

"Invisibility core."

The commander than when on to his guests about how his genetically altered ace pilot was not only capable of fly, but fixing the mech. Little did Sirec know that the guests were from Meteor Enterprises. Some big head in Sector 1 had gotten all friendly like with Meteor Enterprises and was trying to get someone from Sector 1 to be a highly valuable commodity so that they had a little more pull.

"Under an hour." Shouted Sirec, his body still being mostly covered by Sirvem. He had just found the problem, some gummed up coolant lines that slowed the flow of the vital cooling fluid. With a small brush rod, the jam was easily broken. Run a little bit of water back out that section of line, and the jam was all gone.

Add on the time it takes to put everything back into place, get in the cockpit, then run the tests, you have about 50 minutes. Making sure that it was flight ready was another 5. Take 5 for possible errors, and you have an hour. Sirec didn't know what was about to be his target, but he hoped it didn't involve having to deal with people trying to fix his mech. The one that he installed every upgrade to, every new plate of armor, every weapon swap, every repair. He may not have originally made the mech, but he has remade it enough to rebuild it with the right parts. Who ever is the engineer where he is going better be ready to be told no.

XA-1022 NT-3521. These were the coordinates given to Sirec. From what he knew, they were out on some asteroid belt, a good distance from any 'tracking posts.' Knowing this, and being familiar with high levels of secrecy, Sirec expected either a base or a meeting point. If you weren't planning on showing anything off till you have it all together, that was a good place to collect everything. It would likely all come in cloaked, or at least with some form of anti-tracking.

On time, his work on Sirvem was finished. Now was a perfect opportunity to test if everything went in right. After the initial starting flight testing was complete, Sirec was off.

"Sirvem to tower, clearance?"

"Tower to Sirvem, path B to door 5 is authorized."

"Sirvem to tower, all tests 100, heading to door 5 by path B."

"Tower to Sirvem, good luck."

After a small five minute travel time, Sirec made his way to door 5. Exiting the base, Sirec shot one last communication. "Sirvem to tower, cloaking charging. It was nice seeing you."

The small mech shot from its location, heading on the fastest calculable path to the coordinates set. Slingshoting around the nearby planet and the sun, Sirec began system automation. It was nice on long, high-speed travels like this. He then pulled up a small games collection. It was all he had for the 20 hour flight.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It took about 10 minutes after the automation shut down to get into the asteroid field. Once in the place where tons of rock float in a mindless orbit, Sirec choose a good one to land on, letting Sirvem's attachment systems grab the rock. Now he waited, still cloaked, for a vessel to uncloak.

Sirec was on high alert as the message came out.

"Any ship in the area awaiting pickup, announce and reveal yourself. Keep your weapons turned off."

With a few button pushes, Sirvem uncloaked at about the same time as the Reaper. While its weapon systems were armed, Sirvem would have to use something that would have to be placed in the bomb bay to even cause the Reaper's shields to go up. So, Sirec ignored the Reaper's command to disarm weapons.

"Sirvem to Reaper, I am coming out of the asteroid field. Give me a door. Also, main weapons are online with an empty bomb bay. Look for the tiny mech." Shot from Sirvem in a direct beam communication. It was a nice little way to communicate with a ship you can see without being tapable.

Sirvem released its grip on the rock, Sirec slowly guiding it through the field. The funny part about the whole thing would be that the Reaper would likely have trouble detecting Sirvem, unless they had precision tracking equipment. Something of that type for that range with ships that big was not all that common.

"Sirvem to Reaper, going to Hanger Bay 1. ETA 5 M." Sirec said over the comms. Hanger Bay 1 was on the side of his approach, but slightly farther to the back of the ship that some of the closer openings. Didn't bother Sirec. The other ones were likely for fighter launching, or so Sirec thought.

Entering into Hanger Bay 1, Sirvem was only a little bigger than the general loading mechs. When Sirec found a good spot, he activated the clamps on the feet of Sirvem, locking it into place. He then exited his vessel.

"Sirec Dovim, are you oof." The escort fell to the ground, knocked out with a well placed hit. Sirec was expecting a slight bit more time off of Sirvem before any escorts came, and reacted as such. The rest of the escort pulled their guns on Sirec, none willing to fire until he pronounced himself a threat.

"Next time, give me more space." Was the only comment that Sirec had, not even bothering to release his side arm from its holster. He then followed the escort where they would take him.

Walking with the Captain, Kyle said nothing. He just activated his eyepiece and began scanning and evaluating his environment. He notices Arba walking with the commander and surrounded by guards. But there was another guy with her, and he looks familiar. Wasn't he in a book? No, he was in a report. But why? It's too confusing to think about, there are more things to think about. Mainly strengths and weaknesses of the people around him.

Once at the bridge, the first thing Kyle does is look around the room and scan everything in sight. It's safer to do that.
He begins to pay attention to the guy who was speaking to Arba. He scans and then retracts his eyepiece to evaluate the guy's body language and use the power of perception to figure him out.
the guards seem tense, why? Maybe I should do the same? Or I could pull a prank and freak these guys out. Kyle thinks as he notices the tense atmosphere. The moment he thinks about pulling a prank, he loudly blows more air out of his mouth than usual. As if he was laughing. But his face stays emotionless.

(Kyle is a mercenary/terrorist working for the illuminati. I was planning on showing that later)

Arba was lead to the flight deck. She supposed that she would now meet the person who had requested her.
She really had no indication of who it would be.

At first he only spoke. She recognised his tone immediately. She felt for sure that the only reason she had been sent here was so he could watch her suffer. After all she did nearly kill him.

He named her traitor just like everyone else and he hadn't turned round to address her directly. She kept a straight face, there was no way she was going to give anyone here the satisfaction of seeing her fear. A feeling she had become most accustomed to in her short life.

Chase turned around, there was a hint of irony in his tone. Arba didn't feel afraid any more, she didn't feel like a traitor and she felt like the Captain she once was.
' You seem to have aged since the last time we met. I guess you could say you have grown into being a man instead of the boy I once knew. '

It may have sounded rude but of course human interaction was not her strong point after two years in solitude.

Sirec stood motionless, silent. His mask made him impossible for anything other than his professional and deadly looking stance. Nothing. Not even a millimeter of skin shown through his uniform and mask. The only thing that moved was his eyes, which could not be seen. He was looking through the schematics of the Reaper. The cloaking field was definitely Sector 1 tech.

Sirec also looked around. His head did not move, but he could easily pick up the transmissions from the cameras. The last thing that Sirec wanted was another surprise. He was bothered by the number of guards. This woman around him looked far from dangerous, but it was a fat chance that she would be penetrating his guard. Or any of the others on this ship. He never trusted anyone from the start. They had to prove they were worth his trust.

Kyle was staring straight forward. Daydreaming out of boredom. It took a few seconds before Kyle snapped out of his daydream once he received the question from Chase. He quickly brings his head up with a little grunt of confusion. Then he finally processed that he was being spoken to, he looks straight hat Chase. His eyes pierce into chase's body, half closed to show boredom. It looks like he was falling asleep. He finally answers in a quiet mono toned voice. "I am at the right place. I was ordered to keep an eye on Arba. I don't know why, I was just told to. I apologise for any inconvenience I have caused. But I will not abandon my order until it has been fulfilled. I believe I can be of help though, I have some experience in warfare..." Kyle looks away at the last sentence, trying to ignore some flashbacks he received.

Kyle grips his fists inside his pockets, his face stays emotionless but his thoughts are full with hatred. Kyle begins to relax again and he returns to his usual calm posture of slouching slightly with his hands in his pockets. He stares at Chase without a word, his visible grey eye glistens in the light.

"Where and what needs destroyed?" Asked Sirec. He had a slightly gravelly and a strong Veran accent, a true rarity. Just as rare as a Veran soldier over the age of 22.

Sirec had his rifle out the moment his question ended. He wasn't sure what this sudden threat was, but it had to be bad. To get a reaction like that from someone who's file reads like he has only calm and angry as emotions. Sirec could only deduce that whatever this news was, he was going into the heart of it to cripple it. This'll be interesting.

What?

A pardon?

Was she dreaming?

Chase had asked her to go back to the very thing she loved. Of course her rank would not be as high but she was ready.

' I accept your terms.'

Arba watched as Chase discussed something with a subordinate. There was concern in his face, something that Arba knew all to well about.
Things were now getting serious, whoever the attacker were, they were causing trouble.
There was no way that Arba would have been let out of prison if there was a risk the attackers might win without the best people on the job.

Of course she was not the same any more. She had a lot of new experiences that had slightly altered her sanity. There were days where she would just talk to herself.
God knows what kind of woman she would of become serving her whole service.

Kyle moves again at an amazing speed. He stops in front of Chase and stares in a more angry look, his eye is more opened now and he speaks in a louder voice. "My apologies, but my orders are not fulfilled until this war is over. See me as miss Arba's bodyguard. Like I said, I will help you on my own accord. You should be happy to have me with you."

Kyle is very adamant with his orders, he wil not let some low class fool who acts all high and mighty tell him that his orders are fulfilled. Who does he think he is? But, all military members are idiotic and have no respect for highly skilled mercenaries. If this goes on, that guy will get himself killed. Kyle doesn't care if he will be killed. As long as he kills the guy who made him commit the crime. Plus it will be done so easily, no armour will stop the fatal heart shutdown attack.

"You know that she is dangerous, I can make sure she doesn't do anything stupid while you relax in your chair. You are a busy man after all... Kyle speaks quieter now, his eye returns to being half closed. He leans forward towards Chase like he is going to whisper something. Instead he uses the chance to read more body language and predict Chase's actions.

"Understood, sir." Sirec said as he took a very formal stance, then gave Chase a nod. When Chase was done talking, Sirec began to follow Arba as he began to hear what Kyle said. Those close enough would hear a muffled, and not nice sounding, grunt. He should show more respect. The file of Chase at least had enough in it to earn some respect from me. I might just throw him out the airlock myself.

When Sirec reached the ensign who was assigned to show him and Arba to their quarters, Sirec said "My quarters please."

Arba had taken some time to settle in.
The bed was comfortable and she had a bathroom.

It was now the simple things that she enjoyed the most. Though she knew she would never completely be the same. Far too much had happened in her life.
After putting on the uniform Arba searched the cupboards above her bunk, they were filled with small treats. She knew this was not a customary thing in a lieutenants bunk. He must of placed it there as a good will gesture.
She had a chance to eat before she heard the tap on the door.

She tied back her long hair and placed in into the cap she had been given as part of her uniform.
' Two seconds ' She muttered as she quickly tied her boots and wiped the crumbs down from her uniform.

The door creaked open. The metal framing needed oiling, Arba made a note of it. She had once been a very good engineer, how funny it was now that her biggest fix was a door frame.

Chase stood at her door. She raised her arm to salute him. She had nothing against him. She only tried to kill him because it was her orders to do so. Lev on the other hand...

'Captain. What are your orders. ' She asked, rather abruptly.

"Nothing but trouble. If you want trouble, I can give you trouble." Kyle began to show his anger for the first time, he isn't used to showing any emotion so he trembles with the feeling of it. "If you're the captain of this operation, then I need you to speak to my leader." Kyle calls out to Chase as he leaves, "One more thing, Arba is everything of my concern. How about you use that brain instead of acting high and mighty. Ranks are nothing, all humans are the same. You and I are the same. My name is Kyle McLoughton, search me up if you wish. Then your view of me may change."

Kyle didn't care anymore, he has to be accepted. It doesn't matter if Chase found out what Kyle did to get recognised by his new group. I don't care if that guy knows how many soldiers, government officials, shipyards and civilians I have killed. I think they number in the 50 thousands. Kyle thinks.

In order to fulfill his mission he has to let Chase know, this guy is different. More annoying to deal with.

Those papers, they seem important. If only he decided to use his eyepiece to read those papers. Kyle looks around at the guards still staring at him. He blows air out of his mouth loudly as a way of expressing laughter. "What are you lot looking at? Shoot me if you want, you guys will regret it." Kyle wanders to one of the chairs and sits, he holds his rifle in his arms and stares at the guards. He knows nothing will happen, he just needs to wait til Chase, Sirec or Arba appear.

Things are beginning to get interesting. Kyle realizes this as he plans. "You guys mind if i borrow a ship?"

Arba obliged and began to walk with Chase.

' Seems you have made quite the Captain '
She was still confused why he had asked her here. He must of truly had a forgiving heart.

Of course Arba had no idea where she was going. It would take her a while to become familiar with this new ship, especially since she wasn't in charge.
She observed the other crew members, wondering how this team would work with her. Especially since they all knew who she was and probably had a lot of hate for her.

The door to Sirec's room shot open. It was to the point that the guards down the hall cringed as the angry Veran came walking out of the room like he had more than just a mission. Someone had touched his mech. The man could take a lot, but unless he gave you direct, and usually situational, permission to touch his ship, you don't.

As Sirec stormed down the hallways, following the way he came, he gave off an air of pure rage. Whoever touched his mech was going to have a nice chat with him. And if this person was smart, they didn't move a thing. If Sirec had to rebuild his mech, someone might end up dead.

Arba walked behind Chase.
She walked plenty of crew members on the way to the hanger, noticing that some were former members of her own crew.

This saddened her slightly, she had an excellent crew, one that could be envied by the oldest and wisest pilots. However, now they were her team mates rather than her team. Though she guessed it was to be expected once she was removed from their lives.

They entered the hanger. The room cleared quickly and they were left alone. He escorted her to a locker which had been decorated with Tic-Tac.
Even Arba got a bit choked up when she noticed her old field name. Old memories began to flood back of the days before she was Captain.
' Nice touch Sir ' She said before running her hand along the cool metal.

Chase handed her two keys. She fitted one into the locker and opened it.
He began to explain her purpose for being there whilst she locked up her new compartment.

The other key was for a Mech. A truly beautiful one at that.
Arba knew she was rusty when is came to these machines but she couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement.
' Thank you for giving me the opportunity. Anything is a step up from being what I was. Though it may take some getting used to, receiving orders and all that. '

She gave him a half smile as she examined her new toy.
It was at that moment she could here the patter of running feet in the adjoining corridor.
' Sounds like an incident that could use you expertise Cha- Captain '.

Sirec was just about ready to finish his calcuations and begin his attack, Sirec was interupted by Chase. He then said "Count yourself lucky. Never touch my mech, ever." Sirvem then proceded to go back to its spot and shutdown.

Sirec walked up to Chase, only to say "Make sure your men understand Veran Territorialism. I would hate to kill a good soldier." Sirec would walk back to his mech, cleaning the spot where Kyle had leaned on it, and was obviously still on edge. What most would not notice was that inside the suit, the cooling systems were running at high power. Sirec would need to visit the mess hall soon. Or have a snack.

"Lucky? This was the best fun I had in ages!" Kyle's split personality is beginning to kick in, but noticing Chase he instantly returns to normal. "I don't see what the problem was. That mech is a work of art! I couldn't hold myself back. "

Kyle also walks to Chase, trying to keep his limping to a minimum. It shouldn't take long until he heals anyway. "Mr Chase, I would like you to talk to my leader. It is quite important, maybe we could sort things out in the process as well." Kyle pats Chase on the arm and signals to lead the way. He didn't know his way around the ship, so in order to find Chase he had to grab his attention with stunts like this. He obviously needed to recalculate his plans to prevent any damage, the glowing on his back stopped. Showing that the damage had been repaired.

Kyle's leader had been bugging him to get Chase to talk to him, ever since Kyle explained the hostility the people show towards him.
