Danielle jumped at the sound of another voice.
"Oh crap!" she said, instantly reacting.
She quickly recovered herself and crossed her arms. The girl was getting all upset about a tree? Danielle smirked.
"Calm down, I'm not after your precious tree. This is my spot and I don't care how long you have been here." she said with her arms crossed.
Then a guy with some dead squirrels in his hand walked in. Great, another person to deal with. He didn't seem to be a threat, but she couldn't be that stupid and take a chance. She turned to face him, ignoring the girl behind her.
"No thanks, I don't accept food from strangers. Who are you and what are you doing here?" she asked, holding her backpack strap in case she had to put it down to fight.
She didn't like that there were two people in her spot. This had been the place that she would explore on her walks. It was the only place that normal kids would be too creeped out to set foot in. The guy tried to look her in the eyes, but she looked elsewhere. She hated it when people tried to look her in the eyes, it made her feel like she was opening herself up to them.
