Mathias appears as a tall man with broad shoulders, and strong arms. His hair is long and brown and always looks well groomed and straight. He has bright, amber eyes that burn with righteousness. Justice

Image

An unique entity accidentally created when the All-Father punished the Corruptor. This was the first act of justice committed and therefor Justice was born. When the All-Father decided to leave, it threatened Justice's survival and the only way he could continue was to latch himself upon a Divine Seed. In his careful choosing Justice attached himself to the seed that would be Mathias, forgoing his own earthly body. Now incorporeal his only way to show his presence is when he decides to possess Mathias. When he does this however he assumes his original form. It's only goal is to protect the peace, a tenuous balance between order and chaos.

Personality: Mathias is protective and straight-forward. Very no-nonsense and he makes very few mistakes. Determined and brave he will face any darkness all in the name of order and civilization. Revered amongst Rulers, architects, judges, politicians, and pioneers, each look to Mathias for guidance and inspiration to create laws and cities. He is also favored heavily with inventors who use him to gain ideas to create machinery and such to progress humanity. Also warriors may favor Mathias who respect his judgement and strong sense of honor and duty. Often they will use the name of Justice to combat wicked villains and instigators of chaos. Mathias opposes the wilderness and tradition, in favor of progression and technology. He finds that Mortals are destined to grow and must claim the land as their own, and make the land fit for habitation. To build and advance is his mantra. His main enemy is Chaos.

In the wake of the Cataclysm, Mathias finds great loss in the previous war. Still, with the urgings of Justice, found even greater resolve for security and Law and Order. The losses were too devastating and grounds for a new system must be made. Much to the pleasure of Justice, a new order is about to form and this time, it will hopefully better prevent another catastrophe. Mathias personally, remains the same, if not more hardened to become the Defender of the Peace. His duty has become even greater and Mathias takes too this with much vigor. While wholly his personality remains intact, a much more determined and cold resolve now fills his drive. Perhaps internally he isn't the same anymore...

Opinion of mortals: At first he found mortals to be too primitive but he decided to give them a chance. Seeing how well they adapted to reasoning and understanding, he became fond of them. He enjoys their sense of ingenuity and resilience and often is eager to teach them the ways of community and law. The greatest joy however, is seeing them build vast empires and advance in their understanding and technology.
God's territory: His power is often associated with cities, towns, any place of mass population. Also he has control over governments and laws and places of law.
Portfolios Governed: Justice, Civilization
Symbol(s): Thanks to his use of a spear in battle, people often associate the spear as a symbol of justice.

Equipment

Raguel, The Spear of Justice: The famed silver spear, that Mathias carries into battle. It has seen much combat in a relatively short amount of time. Still the spear stands resolute as a beacon of law and order. The spear itself is made of an unknown metallic material, like his armor, that he had had since his birth. Whatever the it is, it is as divine as the god who carries it. Using magic, Mathias can make the spear change it's length. It can become elongated or very miniscule. Unrevealed but using magic, Mathias can control the consistency of the spear. Making it firm or flimsy, while still keeping it's regular density.

The Armor of Enforcement: The armor Mathias is rarely seen without. Like the spear, it too is made up of an unknown metallic material. Mathias has never really thought much of where his items came from, perhaps they are divine themselves? Forged from the same spark that made Mathias? Whatever the origin, it is an incredibly sturdy piece of equipment. It protects Mathias' body from most harm, but cannot make him impervious to all godly forms of attack. Despite not being some invincible piece of metal, it does a superb job of keeping him protected. Which what all armor should do.

So begins...

Acanthus

The wind was chilly at the top of the mountain. Acanthus stood up, leaning heavily upon his staff. Snow whipped his cloak and his grey beard glittered with the powder. He looked at the others standing with him. The faces showed a wide variety of shock and awe. Acanthus felt much too tired to even react. They had pushed back the army but at what cost? What had happened to the world they had known?

But there was no doubt about it. The Middle Realm looked beautiful. For miles in every direction there was clear blue skies. The land seemed a flush with life. Acanthus wavered on his staff. "I am weary, even with all of the lives it took to as I cast it, that spell has drained much from me. But, look at the world my brothers and sisters. We have stopped that menace." He looked out at the glistening sea. It felt to him as if Paradise had descended to the Middle Realm.

He sighed, "All thanks to Laska." He turned to thank her. "Where did she go?"

After determining that she had vanished from the mountaintop Acanthus stroked his beard. He sent a spell of communication to Adarani. "Adarani, do you have any more of your reviving fruit? I fear that some of our number may be wounded or winded as the case may be. But we have succeeded. We have won. And that is enough for now."

Nylia

Nylia was in shock throughout the whole battle, but she didn't let it effect her, she just fueled herself on rage and didn't think, just killed. But now...when it was all over she was in shock. All of those revolting things happened, it was horrible. It seemed that not many Amares were killed, luckily most of them ran or stayed in hiding. Quickly, logic flowed back into her mind her disbelief and worry left as she zoomed into thought...throughout the whole battle she never sensed a Divine seed growing to created this new Goddess, Laska...maybe she just didn't sense it because they were in the midst of battle...no, there was something about Laska...something sneaky...Nylia was the Goddess of Manipulation, she could usually tell when someone was lying...it seemed whoever Laska was was hiding something. Memories flowed into her mind about the Inferno, someone told her about a horrible, violent Goddess..."Jute" Nylie muttered, loud enough for someone to hear only on pure luck. The name brought different ideas to her mind...Snakes, Greed, Malice, Deception. She was unsure...she wondered if she should tell the other gods...if she did Acanthus, Adarani, and Mathias would probably push for them to partake in another trial...the last one didn't turn out well...the only person she could trust to help her with this Laska/Jute situation would have to be Cragin, maybe even Aspestis. She definitely had to get Cragin in private though, she had to tell him about her theory, even if it was wrong. "Cragin, I know this isn't the best time but can you go to the Inferno with me?" Nylia asked with a calm facade, "It's quite important," she stated, showing her pleading face only to him so the other Gods wouldn't be suspicious. She believed Mathias was powerful at the start of the trial, but after Kreios got away she lost her trust in him...in Acanthus...maybe...maybe even in the All Father?...Why would he let so many people die? Nylia shook the thoughts out of her head, she had to focus.

Cragin could not concentrate, on Nylia, with her soft voice, or anything. He felt only pain, coursing through every fiber of his being. His body would quiver silently, nothing escaping his hood, but the sudden understanding that he had lost so many of the things he loved, the things he cared for. He broke then, in the deathly silence of the mountain, the wind whipping at them all. He grabbed desperately at his chest, falling back, to the ground, his body would convulse in utter rage, shock, and despair. An empty "No!" Would ring out in the very air, the voice choked and resounding throughout the Middle Realm. As a sobbing was not heard but rather felt, and then wicked laughter, resounding in booms across the sky. He would roll about with the screams bringing his elbows back in fierce strikes carving the mountain below him. He felt beyond tired, weak, but only this broke his will.

Images of those he once loved flooded his vision, and suddenly the booms stopped and he resolved himself to watching the sky. "Nylia, my sister." His voice would be slow as he suddenly realized what had been said. "We will go to the Inferno, then." For he too, in the back of his mind had suspicion of Laska, her sudden appearance and disappearance, the simple attack that kill Kreios when Braun had not. He was skeptical, as they all should be. His voice now, was noticeably struggled, and the silence he bore was now cold as it never had been before.

Cragin had died after the events, but the one thing he thought about, and his heart beat desperately over, was the one thing he had yet to discover fully and truly, the strange spell he was under dictating his mind even in the darkest moments to affection. Love'lyn Joye, and her life was enough to bring him at first to his knees and then his feet, though noticeably he swayed in his weakened state. "Let us go, then."

Mathias

Mathias stood like a statue, immobile, stout, and unemotional. Mathias just gave a deep, blank stare out into the endless horizon. Mathias was at a lost for words. Nothing, in all of his existence could have prepared him for this moment. The fire and vigor he had, was gone now that Justice has all but made himself scarce after the battle. It's not like Mathias wished to speak with the ancient spirit anyways. Mathias could only feel the pain of loss and pity for his kin. Still this left a huge task to be undertaken. Such a threat...there must be precautions. One thing that Mathias wants to know is how Kreios came to escape and cause this in the first place? How did he become so much stronger as to escape and resist his sentence? He was sure the spell Justice cast upon him would make Kreios more restricted to do such deeds.

Something didn't add up about all this mess, and Mathias wants answers. His mind wandered to the others and their troubles. Acanthus was weary, Cragin was greatly upset, and the others seem to be lost in shock. Nylia seemed to snap Cragin out of whatever he was feeling. They seemed to plan to go some where, perhaps assess the damage? Still whatever it is, Mathias has more to worry about. Acanthus mentioned that goddess "Laska" who was she? Her appearance didn't add up either, it seemed too much of a coincidence. Still, Mathias shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth, without her Kreios wouldn't have been stopped. Still she could have stayed around, what was her hurry? The Cataclysm wrought death and destruction what else could be more important than that? Or more specifically what is LEFT to do?

Mathias stood unstirred with his thoughts. He couldn't help but feel that something needs to be done. It's time to pick up the pieces....

Adarani hid her sadness as best she could. The entire Cataclysm nearly wiped out her Vitaiim. She never expected Kreios to target them, since they were not the ones who banished or harmed him in the first place. There was that, and the Elder Goddess of Love made it perfectly clear she did not want a fight back at what used to be the Hall. All the death, the torture, the suffering, it was more than she could handle, emotionally. Now that it was over, she thought about Laska, realizing something was out of place.

Before she could go into detail about it, Acanthus asked if she had anymore Rejiv, to which she nodded and hled out the basket. "Only three pieces of Rejiv are left. I'm sorry, but that is all that was retrieved before the Chaos Beasts destroyed Sacrira."

Mathias

As he stood there, he noticed the situation shifting ever more. As if he wasn't uneasy enough, new sparks have been unleashed, as new gods begin to populate whatever is left of the Middle Realm. Mathias has no idea what to think of them and this makes him unsettled. Are they good, bad? What are their intentions and personalities? Mathias, despite the care he feels for his kin, can't help but feel suspicious of all new comers. Even if they are his kin, all gods are capable of great care or great destruction. Even with the death of, what we considered to be the evil deities, it still felt like they missed something. It ate away at Mathias and sudden urge to catalog every god felt just right. Did he really have to place his kin under the letter like so?

Mathias didn't like it, but he didn't feel safe without doing it either. Is scrutinizing them, the best approach? It is for the greater good, he can't allow any more death and destruction to occur, the pain is just too great. Mathias finally moved as he turned towards the others.

"I am certain each of have sensed new gods on the horizon, yes?" Mathias asked his rhetorical question. "I am going off to find these gods, they will most likely be confused of their surroundings." Mathias spoke as he turned towards the horizon. He would seek out the new gods and...anticipate who they are and see what threat they could posses. Hopefully, they are kind enough. Mathias decided to take his leave of the mountain and entered what remained of the Middle Realm.

Mathias

Mathias wandered what was left of the Middle Realm. During his departure, he recognized a familiar energy. It was that of "Laska". While Mathias had his curiosities about her, she continued not to trip any dire alarms. She felt peaceful and nothing else. Against his better judgement, Mathias continued to feel new life and their energy...is more questionable. Feeling that the other new comers pose greater threat than "Laska" he continued his search. Mathias roamed the landscape, it seemed to have changed considerably since the Cataclysm. A lot of the familiar sights and sounds, gone. This too brought on more trouble upon Mathias' heart. Mathias had to press forward, he can't risk being caught in nostalgia.

Mathias moved forward as he walked in the direction of one of the most turbulent, forces he's felt. Despite the feelings of chaotic mood swings, there was a familiarity about it. Mathias couldn't place his finger on it, but it was strangely familiar. Mathias soon found himself nearing the source and from that moment he recongnized the feeling. It was Madness. Only one god he knew could produce such feelings, is now all but dead. Mathias wished he was much more conversable than Trelás, the former God of Madness to him was nonsensical and sporadic. Such traits made it difficult for Mathias to get any reading on him besides threatening. As Mathias neared his destination he came upon a ruined village. Mathias felt pity for it's former inhabitants who are either dead or turned into those aberrations.

Mathias searched the village to come upon what must be the deity he was searching for. While Mathias sensed all matters of energy, at this moment he seemed peaceful enough to approach, Mathias cautiously walked up to the sitting god. "Greetings, new born." Mathias spoke in an caring, yet authoritative voice. "An interesting meeting place if I do say so myself." Mathias looked around. "Such a terrible waste." Mathias commented more to himself than the god. "So then, I assume you must be rather confused about your surroundings or maybe yourself?" "Any questions you wish to ask, I shall do my best to provide the answers." Mathias spoke as he gave quick bow before his young kin. He awaited his words.

"Why bow before me?" Veltrez stood up still in his holy form. "Do you know what happened to this place? " Veltrez was saddened that this place was in ruin. The young god's form was turning back to his neutral state. He can remember what he does in his other forms quite well. "I'm sorry, but I have quite a bit of questions." Veltrez was extremely confused not knowing anything about himself. "Do you know who I am and what I am?" His form changed back to being holy once more. "I am sorry, but my forms seem to randomly appear." Veltrez avoided eye contact, since it usually caused morta ls to lose their sanity. The god decided to paint in the colors of madness, since he had company he decided to give the brush to the other god. He hoped the god had no questions for him, since he didn't even know what he was. He felt a slight smile forming on his face from the new idea he had. He grabbed the paint he was using and gave it a mind of it's own, he wished to see what would be painted. The paint itself assorted itself into an image of the god of madness that was before Veltrez. Veltrez was visibly baffled, he turned to the other god. " Who is this person? I don't remember ever meeting him before. Veltrez's form began changing to his neutral form. "Amazing I didn't know that my creations could make such marvelous art."
In his neutral form he didn't understand that the painting was of a god that was dead. He decided he would make creations to help rebuild these ruins, since he thought it would look much better not destroyed. He carved a body for his creation using a tool left behind in the debris, he made the bones out of marble, and the muscles out of plants. To finish his creation, he gave it a mouth to communicate if needed. He then gave it a mind of it's own to be able to think and not be a mindless zombie. "Do you need anything to be done sir?" Said the creation. Veltrez was happy at the creation he just made and replied with " Rebuild this town if you can." He sat patiently waiting for the town to be rebuilt, but the town would turn out different then it originally was. He remembered that he had company and turned to the other god. "I'm sorry I forgot you were here, I guess my unpredictability is a bit annoying to you. "

Mathias

From his first meeting with this god, Mathias came to find he is very scatterbrained and seems to shift forms and personalities. While he doesn't appear to be as manic as Trelás he is no less sporadic. Mathias felt a bit tested with the young god ignoring him and forgetting about him. But Mathias was patient, just on end from the great war. Mathias took a deep breath and spoke.

"Do not trouble yourself with my concerns," "You have not disrespected me." Mathias pulled on a smile and waved his hand dismissively. "Anyway, I shall answer your questions." Mathias looked at him with seriousness. "The following information your are about to hear should be heeded." Mathias warned. "What happened to this place, was the result of a great Cataclysm." "As far as I could tell, all life was wiped out by it and only a handful of us gods survived." Mathias explained about the others. "As for who you are, I know not of your name, but I do know you are my kin, as you are the kin of the other surviving gods." "For that is what you are, a god." Mathias spoke.

Mathias watched the God of Madness paint and surprisingly it's the image of Trelás. Strange, perhaps he feels a connection? Mathias decided to answer his question. "Now as for the person in the painting, that was Trelás, The God of Madness and Music." "Unfortunately he was one of the gods that died during the Cataclysm." Mathias thought of when he saw that constellation in the sky and the sudden omen of events to come. It sent a shiver down his spine thinking about that moment in the Hall. Acanthus' grim tidings and our startled reactions. Mathias began to feel great sadness as he lost the smile he had.

Mathias sighed and the looked towards the young god. "I'm afraid I didn't introduce myself." "I am Mathias, and I am the God of Justice." Mathias proclaimed. "As for me bowing before you, I do it as a courtesy and sign of respect to my kin." Mathias gave a quick smile before losing it to solemness. "Now are their anymore questions you wish to ask?" Mathias asked as he continued to study this god. While his unstable nature gave caution he still hasn't done anything alarming. It's too early to tell whether this god's intentions are good or not. So far he's wanting to rebuild this town was a good sign but Mathias hasn't decided to drop suspicion yet.

"Yes, I have one question remaining." "Who are the other gods that survived this Cataclysm?" Veltrez wanted to know that, since he knew some gods weren't good and may try to deceive him. Although this god, Mathias, he seemed as if he wouldn't be threat to Veltrez as long as he didn't do anything to cause alarm. He then went on to create more of the same creation he made before and told them to start rebuilding this town. He started by rebuilding the main building, then he would rebuild the rest of the buildings varying by importance. He felt his form turn devilish for a second wearing a wicked grin, in that second he raised his fist against Mathias ready to fight the god to crush his self confidence. Before he did any harm to the god his form reverted back to neutral. "I'm terribly sorry my control over my form is weak." His creations hid when he turned to his devilish form, but when he reverted back to his neutral form they returned to work rebuilding the town. Veltrez decided to create ten elite soldiers to fight in his name. When he created them half of them were evil and the other half was good, but they both held a loyalty to his neutral form and wished to prove that they were better then the other five. They each had simple control over an aspect of the mind. He didn't mean to make half of the elites good and the other half evil, but it was natural for him to make some of the evil and some of them good. "I think I just did something I shall severely regret later on." He didn't wish to take their lives, for it would be cruel to live for so little time.

Mathias

Mathias continued to watch the god as he spoke his question. Mathias was prepared to answer before something startling occurred. After he made more creations, another change occurred. This was beginning to become regular until the form he assumed was different from the others. This was the form that caused the greatest worry in Mathias' mind. The source of dangerous chaotic energies that shifted with the others. When he made a gesture of offense, Mathias was prepared to defend himself if need be. As of now, he is tired of fighting and would prefer to avoid it. Still with this god, there is a lot of variables. How long does this form last? If they cannot communicate civilly, should he fight? Mathias was guarded and prepared for the worse, but fortunately conflict was averted.

The god's form once again changed to a more preferable one. He apologized for his out burst. "Yes, of course, it was of no consequence." Mathias spoke reassuringly. "Still I would suggest working on control when you can." Mathias spoke with concern. That sudden change made Mathias more cautious and more observant of the god. While his other forms seem pleasant enough, the last, should be kept under surveillance. This god despite his scatterbrained personality, seems not a cause of trouble like Kreios. After all Trelàs didn't do anything damaging when he was alive, perhaps this one will be the same. Not a threat but someone to be aware of. Mathias decided to answer his question once he finished more of his creations.

"Well the other gods who survived the Cataclysm are our kin." "There is Acanthus, The God of Magic and Wisdom." "He is a very kind god, like a father to us." "I'm sure you'll like him, he views all of us with love and value." Mathias paused and considered who else to speak of. "There's Adarani, Goddess of Love." "She's a very kind goddess and has a gift for healing." "There's Aspestis, kind of a strange fellow." "He's the God of Illness." "From what I know of him, he's very well-mannered and some what nervous for a god." Mathias paused and thought about the last of them. "There's Nylia, I not well acquainted with her, but she is very strong and tenacious." "She is the Goddess of Revenge and Manipulation." "Despite her titles she has been a very great ally to us in our struggles with the chaotic forces in the world." Mathias paused once again.

His mind drifted to the last two, Cragin and "Laska". Mathias looked at the new god and spoke. "There is my brother, Cragin. He's a....difficult one to read...uh mysterious, silent, strong...uh it's a bit hard to put him in words." "Just know he is a very proud individual, one who is a true friend and brother." "Even though he may come off as intense and rude at times." "Just know his intentions are made for the good in mind." "He will never quit, I know that much about him." Mathias paused as he looked at the new god of madness. "There is one more, but I know nothing of her." "She appeared at the end of the great Cataclysm, her name is Laska, I know not much else of her, except say she radiates peace." "Sorry I wish I could tell you more of her, but I would like to know more about her myself." Mathias gave a chuckle.

Mathias looked at him and gave another smile. "Well I hoped I answered your questions as best as I could." "Is there anything else?" Mathias asked.

"Yes, is there any way I can meet these other gods? And how could Lasksa be formed near the outburst of chaotic energy and not be evil? I'm guessing the outburst of chaotic energy caused my dual personalities, so shouldn't it have done the same to her? Doesn't this strike you as a bit suspicious about her? I can radiate peace and chaos both, so couldn't someone else do the same?" The young god didn't think that someone would be free of the corruption of chaos if they were born so close to the actual war. He calculated the many outcomes possible and in his mind were playing out millions of different scenarios. He stared into space still playing out the different possibilities in his mind. He snapped out of his trance like state and returned to consciousness, he then turned to Mathias. "Excuse me, but do you even know who this Laska person is? If it's all possible may you not drag me into any conflict that may occur in the future? I doubt I would be help to either side, since I can be both good and evil." Veltrez knew history sometimes repeated itself as that was the way the simple minds of immortals and mortals worked. He laughed " And they call me insane, their minds can't resist being directed one way." He thought that to himself. He thought that perhaps having a way to communicate would be good. " Do you have a way to communicate with me from a distance?" Most of the town was rebuilt he was happy, but the town would remain a ghost town for a while. He decided to leave his creations here to work on fixing the town in case it was ever destroyed again. He then waited for a response to his questions.

Mathias noticed the urgency in his voice. All of his questions were good ones concerning Laska. Mathias knows nothing about her except single-handedly wining the war. Mathias decided to speak to him in a calm manner. "Yes, I've had suspicions of her, but I have nothing concrete to cause an investigation." "As far as I know with out her, we wouldn't be standing here right now." Mathias spoke as he continued to think about her. It was a godsend but was it too good to be true? Then came more words of wisdom and a request of all things. Mathias looked at him and gave a sigh.

"I know nothing of her, except say she's another Goddess." "She does seem to have great power though...." Mathias looked at him and gave a nod. "That isn't up to me, it depends on how you act is what determines what conflict befalls you." "Sometimes it's unavoidable even if you wish to remain outside of it." Mathias paused and then placed a hand on his chest. "While I can't stop forces of conflict reaching you, I will promise you that I won't be one of those forces." Mathias pledged as he placed his hand to his side. He then asked for a way of communication and Mathias thought about it. "Well I do but lets say those ways are not always willing to work." Then Mathias looked down to his hand. He pulled of the grey glove to reveal his hand. There as he left it was the ring Acanthus gave them when they first met.

Peering upon that ring brought back memories of a much better time. It seemed like forever since that point in his life, he can't help but remember the world as it was. Heaviness weighed on his heart as nostalgia reared it's head to drag him down memory lane. Mathias shook his head, knowing he is keeping the new god waiting. Mathias placed the glove in his mouth as he brought his two hands together. Magic began to glow and radiate from within and soon Mathias created a construct. Taking inspiration from Acanthus' item, he created not a ring, but a badge of communication. Mathias with his naked hand held out the silver badge to the new god, while he took the glove out of his mouth with his free hand. "Here this is a silver badge, you can use to communicate with me." "Yet I warn you, I may not always be able to answer, so please don't rely to awfully much on it." Mathias spoke as he waited for the new god to take this boon.

Veltrez took the badge and wore it, he hoped his changing forms wouldn't disrupt it. " I wont rely on it too much, I'll just use this when something interesting is happening and I think you should know about it. " Veltrez's form was neutral, but he didn't feel like flying at the moment. He turned to the other god and said "I shall be leaving now, you can follow me if you wish to." He walked for quite a while not knowing if the other god was following him or just going somewhere else. He passed many things and rebuilt many destroyed places. His elite warriors were following him constantly on guard expecting something to attack their patron god. He felt no need to worry about himself, but he did feel worried about his creations since they cant fly away when being attacked. Eventually he decided he would need to create his own civilization and sat down and began writing the Scroll of mind a book explaining the principles of his soon to be made civilization. He decided he may need help from the other gods, since it would be idiotic to create a civilization on his own. It would be weak without the knowledge the other gods may provide to help him. In his scroll he wrote down the laws and things like that. It was a simple scroll that would be added upon depending on the input other gods had to offer, since he heard of the god named Acanthus he hoped that he could meet him. Acanthus seemed like the god who could help him the most, but he had no idea on how to find him. He reached the Eye of Creation and flew west from there and kept a steady flap over the ocean wondering on what to do next.

Mathias watched the new god leave. While he thought following him will present more data, the arrival of others drew his attention. Mathias hoped the New God of Madness will keep out of too much trouble. Mathias placed glove back on his hand and left the repaired village. Mathias would continued to travel about the Middle Realm, the world has drastically changed. Landscapes and Landmarks, all gone and formed new ones. This wasn't the same Middle Realm Mathias was used to. Mathias wished that he could find something familiar, this whole aftermath, has left him with very little to hold on to. Mathias then thought of The Valeish. His race of mortals being lodge in Paradise. Mathias needs to tend to them, they cannot live in Paradise for they are not dead. He had already decided to wipe their memories of the place, no living mortal should have inner knowings of the realm. That is what Mathias believes anyway.

Mathias' longing was gaining control and it seemed all the more likely to leave for the Upper Realm until... A strange creature found it's way towards him, Mathias didn't notice it but it was vaguely familiar. As it approached him it asked for Mathias to find a deity far to the north. Mathias was confused but it seemed as good an opportunity as any to find another one. Mathias agreed and followed the mechanized being north. Mathias hadn't noticed this before, but the further north he traveled, the colder it became. Soon vegetation began to be come sparser and sparser. Until none left and left only ice. It was in the thick of this the mechanical creature brought him to the mouth of a cave. It motioned him to follow inside.

Mathias did so and was navigated through the subterranean tunnels. Eventually they came to the epicenter which was a remarkable sight indeed. He hadn't seen craftsmanship of this caliber since Cinderaris! It was reminiscent of Foteea's metal work but it had it's own unique style. Mathias wandered the metal fortress until he was brought upon the deity. The deity himself seemed to be made of metal as well as flesh. An odd amalgamation of man and machine indeed. Mathias decided to speak up.

"Hello there." Mathias called to the half god. "I must say your metal work is superb and trust me, I've seen great works before." Mathias spoke as he looked around. "You must be one of the new gods I keep on sensing, my name is Mathias!" Mathias called out. "It's humorous, I was looking for you and you were looking for me." Mathias pulled off a chuckle. "So what is it that you need?" Mathias asked the god. Mathias found his energy very similar to another god's. Mathias waited and decided to examine this god himself.

Torsc

"Greetings, sir Mathias. I'm glad you could make it." spoke the god for the first time. He couldn't help but notice how deep his voice was, sounding like nothing more than the beating of an enormous drum. "You see, I am in need of assistance with a project I've undertaken. I wish to use my divine power to create six species of mortal life, and to this end, I have built a machine to accomplish this. Though it has all the power it could possibly need, I am lacking two integral components necessary for the creation of such beings. One of these is the knowledge of society you could provide for them, while the other would be the capability to reproduce on their own, as opposed to each generation of these beings spawning forth from this device.". "Well, I suppose I could help you," said Mathias. "Would you like me to leave a copy of my books here for them to read from once they've been created?"
"No, no. That won't be necessary. I simply need you to focus your energies into a glyph." With that, he produced a small, octagonal object with strange symbols etched into its surface. "Once you do this, my task will be as simple as placing this glyph within the device before activating it." "Interesting" said Mathias. "Well, I'd better get on that. How might I go about empowering the glyph?"

"You need simply hold it within your hand, and focus your knowledge of civilization on it..."

Mathias looked at the object the half-mechanized god gave him. It was a curious thing and Mathias could hardly believe such a thing could really process so much information. Yet, he was definitely interested if a glyph can store the data given to him by Justice. Mathias did as instructed and began to pour knowledge into it.

"What are you doing?" The still voice of Justice chimed in.

[I'm just pouring my knowledge found in my three books into this object.] [It will be just as I did with the books themselves!] Mathias thought with glee.

"Beware of spreading my knowledge so willingly..." Justice warned.

[I thought you wanted this knowledge distributed?] Mathias spoke confused.

"True, but...I have circumstances of doing such...I could control how much was given to be processed by mortal minds..." "This thing however can process more than a mortal could...I don't want such precious inner workings be entirely divulged." Justice spoke.

[Don't worry I'll put an adequate enough amount for them to understand the basics. From there they can decided what to do with the knowledge and adapt it to their society.] Mathias reassured as he placed more knowledge into the glyph. Torsc would be able to see the golden aura swirling about his hands as it imprinted knowledge into the object.

After awhile Mathias finished the task and handed the glyph out for Torsc. "I hope that is satisfactory enough my kin." Mathias waited for Torsc to take it.

Torsc

"Thank you, sir Mathias" said Torsc, accepting the Glyph from Mathias. "I dare say I'd not have been able to do this without your assistance. If you'd like, you're welcome to make your leave now. I'm positive you're busy with something. But, before you go..."
Torsc began to rifle through a compartment hidden within his abdomen, eventually producing a rectangular tile, with etchings similar to those that were present on the Glyph, though these shone a deep teal as opposed to bright gold. "I would like to offer you an invitation to the creation of these beings, once I've contacted madam Adarani and procured a few more materials. When the time comes, a recorded message will inform you that it is about to begin, and give you instructions on how to use the invitation to return to the citadel instantaneously."
"My, that is... polite of you, Torsc. I just may have to take you up on that offer" said Mathias. "I'll be going now. I'll use the invitation if I can" he added with a smile. And with that, Mathias flew off, away from the citadel and out of the cavernous deeps. Once Mathias had left, Torsc installed the Glyph within the forge that would very soon create six new varieties of sentient life. And after that, he decided to make some alterations to his voice, so as to make it a bit higher in pitch, less metallic...

He certainly didn't want to be embarrassed during any future social encounters.

Mathias left the cold wastes of the North and headed for more temperate weather. It seemed even more sparks have given life to more gods. The continuous affect has made Mathias on edge and while most seemed in no one extreme of a spectrum, there was certainly chaos abound. Mathias had a feeling these gods mean to cause mischief than actual harm. While the lack of evil deities was a relief it still didn't make Mathias' duty any easier. A lot of these gods are loose cannons that could cause some sort of trouble at any minute. There was causes for some alarm. A dangerous predatory aura seemed to seep back into the world, as if replacing the one made by Malus.

Once again another familiar force entered this world, one of war fare. It seemed, like the unstable god he met earlier, comes someone to replace Genocide. His power is ferocious enough Mathias to feel it without having to go in search for it. For some reason it didn't feel as vile as Genocide's. Perhaps this is yet a different god. Still his memories of Genocide did not help Mathias accept a new God of War, he felt he could be trouble all the same. It seemed he could be found further south, at the most extreme angle from where he once was. Mathias could also feel Acanthus near. Worried about the his eldest brother, Mathias made haste to reach the vast southern desert to make sure this New God of War, won't be trouble to Acanthus.

After some time Mathias would reach the desert, it was different, yet similar to the North. Vast stretches of barren wasteland, yet sand replaced snow, and heat replaced cold. Mathias wasted little time assessing the geography he had to make certain, Acanthus is not in grievous peril. Mathias soon found them, Acanthus was near that blue bird that serves Adarani, and found knelt before him, the New God of War. Mathias wandered up to the group.

"Forgive my intrusion my eldest brother, I came to assess the situation here." Mathias looked towards the newest god. "I sensed a familiar presence, one that from previous excursions makes me curious of the source." Mathias spoke as he gave bow to Acanthus as well. "Greetings there my kin." Mathias spoke towards Kalimdor. Mathias was unsure of the new god, so just to make sure they didn't have another Genocide on their hands he merely observed him. To see what his intentions may be.

Acanthus

When Mathias came Acanthus nodded at him. "It is good to see you too Mathias." He watched as the two seemed to be squaring off, waiting for the other to make a move. But Kalimdor broke the tension by greeting and honoring Mathias. Acanthus smiled, "There is no trouble, however. I believe we have met a war god far different from Genocide. This brother seems to be more on the natural side of war instead of on the aggressive side."

He turned and looked at the Oasis and then deeper into the dessert. "Would either of you two like to help me make another hall? I had to use the last one to help power my creation spell."

The Crystal Heart

It called the Gorgon closer and closer. When the Gorgon picked it up, it laughed hysterically. The Gorgon thought it had won. it thought it had defeated her. No, Jute would win. In the end, she would rule all. And with that the Crystal shot a spike at the Gorgon. The spike was long and sharp. It would splinter and go to pierce the heart and head. Then it would disappear after it had struck its mark.
