Lyra Kingsley couldn't help but glance back towards the new boy. Something about his aura gave her the creeps, but it also made her feel incredibly drawn to him. He didn't look much happy upon first glance, more miserable despite the bored look on his face. Something in his phone upset him and she wondered what it could be. Redirecting her gaze at Isabella, Lyra smiled. "Perhaps we may be his first friends here." she whispered, tapping her shoulder with the end of her mechanical pensil.

Katerina, or Katherine, Lyra's aunt's spirit appeared just outside the school, looking up at the sky as the rain fell through and around her. How she wished to feel the cool down pour on her skin. Sighing, she lowered her head and turned to face the school, looking through the glass, she spotted Lyra. Her niece sat besides another girl who's mortal form emitted a soft, yet brilliantly beautiful white aura, contrasting greatly with the darker energies of another particular student.

Dean's expression took an odd look at receiving such a reaction from the girl. She was different. That was all he could get off her. He'd glanced at her after accessing the crow that'd remained still as a statue, stuck to the branch outside despite the sheeting rain, watching the students inside the classroom with a deep interest unfitting to a bird of its nature. It wasn't normal, and for some reason he found its staring weird so he averted his gaze from the windows.

The crow cocked its head, beady coal black eyes stared directly at a certain girl seated besides an auburn haired English girl. The bird ruffled its feathers a bit at feeling weighed down by the relentless rain, the windows fogged up from the warmth within the room, rendering it much difficult to make out her features inside.

The watcher enthralling the bird from a distance to become his eyes swooned slightly as the lost of sight from the girl made the one controlling the animal loose interest quickly in keeping the connection with the bird. Although the watcher could no longer hold her in his sights he would not need to worry. So he kept his distance, after all, the hunter was here finally. He would protect her at all costs, whether he was aware of it or not didn't matter.

Only that she was safe.

By lunch time the sun peeked out and made the outside lunch area sparkle as its prisims of light reflected off the dew and droplets from the leaves and foliage of the trees. Some areas where even dry by then, suitable seating spots for students wishing to find a quite place to sit and eat lunch.

Beneath the shading of a big tree, seated on a white vintage bench, Dean tried to quietly discuss the situation forced upon him on such short notice, failing to ultimately.

"Why didn't you at least give me a heads up before I got here? I didn't come prepared." Dean explained trying to soften his rough tone that was heightening with his growing anger.

"Check the trunk of your car. You're ready. The skin walker can be anyone. Keep your eyes peeled for any suspicion and take it out." John, his father explained calmly, then provided his son with further tips on how to capture said creature, by looking for its glowing eyes when in human form along with its supernatural speed and strength, and making sure to be prepared to shoot it with the white ash dipped bullets provided in a 12-gauge, Remington, shot gun already loaded in the trunk.

"And why am I doing this? Not that I'm complaining or anything but wasn't this your case?" He asked calming down a bit.

He heard his father sigh deeply on the other end of the line, imagined him rubbing his temple as he usually did when he was stressed. "Yeah, only problem was that the "case" is in your School. The chairlady knows me already and would recognize me on the spot. But she wouldn't suspect you, which is wby I want you to take on it. When you're done, call me."

Dean flipped his phone shut, then stared at it for a moment. So this was it. His first official case. Let the hunting games begin.

The blessed lunch period emptied the halls of Rosen Hale, clearing the way for a newcomer to tread through with little difficulty. Two rhythmic heels tapped lightly on the linoleum tile, giving way to knee length leather boots that protected the feet of a petite, fox like vixen with curly tresses that were as black as night. A shock of porcelain white was the graceful face that held her aquamarine eyes, scanning the halls with the intensity of a predator. She wore a leather jacket that matched her boots, and a sound like small bells or chains twinkled as she strode.

She moved quickly and with purpose, and by the unwavering expression on her face it was clear she had no intention of making friends. At the very faint noise of a bird ruffling its feathers, followed by a distinctive cawing to confirm her suspicions, she immediately stopped in her tracks and snapped her attention to the creature. It paid no attention to her, and she continued just as rapidly as she paused so that it remained that way. Her continuance was halted again, however, as she was bumped by a girl whose nose was shoved into a book.

"Lyra! Oh, I'm sorry, friend-" Isabella began, though instantly she cut herself off upon seeing the new girl, who was now picking Dracula off the floor. "I...I'm sorry, I should have been looking where I was going."

"No worries," said the girl, whose voice was cold but undertone still kind. She offered her the novel, and when Isabella reached for it, noticed a handsome ring with a crescent shaped sapphire jewel on her finger.

"Thanks... Er...?"

"Selene."

"Selene... I'm Isabella," she chirped brightly, struggling to find the place she left off in her book. "Are you new here?"

There was silence, and when Isabella didn't hear a response, she looked up from flipping through the pages and realized that the mysterious girl had disappeared as if in thin air. She furrowed her brows in confusion, inspecting her surroundings in search of the beautiful female.

"That's odd."

She shrugged her shoulders and continued outside where all the students had gathered for lunch, scanning the throng for her friend Lyra but instead catching Dean in her line of sight. She could see him blabbing away almost pointedly into his cellphone, and she smirked, shaking her head a little. She advanced assuming Lyra would soon follow, knowing full well where Isabella would be, if the Brit weren't waiting there already. She reached an old oak, whose leaves were turning colors and beginning to trickle to the ground. She sat comfortably at its trunk and reopened her book, not before casting a glance at Dean, who sat at a bench a distance across from her.

She couldn't help the little smile that played at her mouth, though its curl suffered a little when she noticed Selene walking
in the direction of the Salvatore boy.

Lyra was sure glad her favorite subject of the day was up: Lunch Time! Racing out a class room she nearly ran into another new face, her books and novel dropped to the floor.

"Ah, I'm so sorry!"

"Hmm, it's alright... I wasn't looking either," The gorgeous guy said as he helped the brit up back on her feet, then assisted in gathering her dropped materials. On spotting the title of her current read by its binding, the other's sharp blue eyes glinted, interested.

"You're into vampires?" He asked, his tone silky and deep.

Lyra couldn't help blushing as she took the stuff he handed back to her. "Uh, yeah -I do hm..." She noticed him smirking at her and she flashed a smile back.

"I'm Lyra." She introduced kindly.
"Michael. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

She sparkled, it's as if he were royalty, he held such a noble sense to himself, though his aura she realized was gray and "cool". Not as dark as Dean's but in a way chilly -dangerous.

"I'm going to meet a dear friend for lunch, you can join." Lyra invited him.

Michael considered for a mili-second before shrugging, "I'd love to."

"Who is she?" Lyra asked Isabella as she sunk besides her friend and gently placed her books down beside her. She was so interested she forgot to introduce Michael to Isabella.

Michael slid his fingers into the pockets of his designer jeans, the lapis lazuli stone in the ring he wore on his middle finger reflected some light beautifully. He wore a fitted leather jacket over a basic, navy v-neck tee, jeans and ending with classy shoes. His tousled dark locks ruffled over his piercing eyes as he watched the lady in question stroll over to Salvatore -the hunter's son.

"That my girl, is Selene, I wouldn't cross her if I were you. She isn't as friendly as me." But I still adore her... He warned them, though his tone seemed almost playful.

Lyra heard him and came back to herself, "Uh-Isabella, this is Michael he's new too!" She glanced at him with an apologetic smile.

Isabella quickly looked up after sensing her friend take her rightful place at the oak tree beside her. She opened her mouth when addressed, but seeing the handsome new stranger that accompanied Lyra, no words came forth. For a moment suspended in time, she almost gawked at his good looks, but her timid nature immediately cast her gaze back to the ground. She jumped a little at the sound of the crow landing in a branch near her and cawing, shifting her attention toward the creature. She observed it for a second, and within that fragment, her apprehension expelled itself.

"Hi Michael," responded Isabella, finally able to look him in the eye and grant him a smile. "It's good to meet you. Is this your first day?"

Her eyes caught the swiftly moving form of beautiful Selene, who suddenly stopped in her tracks and snapped her attention toward the crow. Her eyes then darted to Michael, and though her expression was completely stoic, she acknowledged him for a moment. Then she was off again, her stride purposeful as she reached Dean, almost as if she were trying to evade someone from seeing her.

"Come with me, Salvatore," she said, her cold voice audible enough just so that he could hear. "Don't bother with questions yet."

She turned and watched him with her steely stare.

"The girl is marked."

Then she continued forward, not waiting for the boy to follow as she made her way toward the student parking lot. There, she would wait for him at his car. Isabella witnessed the entire split-second episode, finding it completely odd how the girl moved with the stealth and gravity of an assassin. She shifted her focus back to Michael, her brows furrowing as she tried to decide something. A huff escaped through her nostrils as her choice became evident on her features.

"Are you guys good friends or something?"

Dean rose his brows slightly before he stood at seeing her turn and walk away as quickly as she came. Then he stood, and followed her, apparently she knew exactly who he was. She even hesitated at the right car -which meant he had to be doubly cautious.

"Do you need something?" He finally asked wondering what she wanted from him. Another thing he wondered was how she'd known who he was. He'd never met her before, so how the hell did she know his name? His car? Was she a stalker? He could only glare at her suspiciously.

And who was marked? What's with this secrecy? He was already wound tighter than piano wire and acknowledging her as well, I could throw my pocket knife at her, maybe some holy water in case she's a demon...

"I wouldn't, Salvatore," Selene purred, feeling his itching to take hold of his pocket knife. Her expression remained straight and unwavering, even as she turned to look at him and her eyes flashed. "I need you to listen to me, and very carefully, because I am only going to say this once."

She walked over to his passenger side door and waited for him to unlock it. She sat inside and watched him expectantly until he did the same. She fingered the jewel on her hand, then looked him square in the eye. The windows were already beginning to fog, and she waited til they were mostly covered by the mist before she opened her mouth to speak again. She could sense his distrust- after all, Selene wasn't exactly the gentle type -and though the corner of her lip twitched, as if hinting the possibility of a smirk, her countenance remained frozen.

"As you know, this town is a hotbed of supernatural activity," she began, her voice soft and grave. "It would be foolish to believe you could handle this all on your own."

She pulled up the sleeve of her leather jacket and revealed a wildly intricate tattoo that spanned the length of her entire arm. Then she turned her hand so that the jewel on her finger flashed, quickly covering her limb as fast as she had bared it. Had Dean so much as blinked, he surely would have missed the sight: she bore the markings that only he and people like himself would understand, letalone see.

"That girl you've been staring at- and don't deny it- she's a target. They will be coming for her, and those she holds dear won't be shown the same mercy. There's only a few of us in this town and there could be as many as one hundred of them. These vampires will stop at nothing until they have her and kill anyone in their way. If they take her-"

The telltale caw of the infamous crow landing near the couple immediately cut off her sentence. She snappe her attention toward the creature, who seemed to be searching for them inside the car. She looked gravely at Dean, then turned and exited the car, walking away so swiftly she seemed to be on the verge of running.

From her perch beneath the oak tree, Isabella sipped the vegetable soup from her thermos and listened carefully as Michael and Lyra talked. Although it wasn't exactly rare, the fact that two new people showed up at the exact same time was just too strange. She couldn't help the odd, slightly uncomfortable feeling in the pit of her stomach; yet, as she watched Selene reappear into the schoolyard lunch plaza, Isabella didn't feel threatened by the enigmatic and mysterious female.

"She's beautiful," Isabella whispered to Lyra, almost incredulously so. Then she turned to Michael. "So what brings you to Sable? I know it can't be for the weather."

She looked up at the grey sky, whose clouds were beginning to disperse with the rays of the sun breaking through the dreary veil. She sighed; she didn't like the rain much. It was a relief that it had stopped just in time for lunch, although she was sure it would probably continue when the students were called back inside to class. She was curious to know how the year would unfold- it seemed to have already gotten off to a pretty interesting start.

Isabella watched him curiously. Either he was just friendly or up to something- he came and went like a cool breeze. Her eyes followed his form as he joined Selene, who acknowledged him with a quick glance but never stopped moving. She seemed to be retreating toward the library, and it took all of Isabella's strength not to get up and follow her. She turned and looked toward the path that she had come from, expecting Dean to follow, but he wasn't there. Her brows furrowed and she looked back at Lyra, concern ridden on her face.

"I'll be right back, Ly," she said, leaving her belongings where she had once been seated.

She stood and swiftly began walking through the brick path that cut through a small patch of forest to get to the student parking lot. Isabella was infinitely curious as to why Dean hadn't followed after her, so she quickened her pace, disappearing into the little grove. The raven cawed, and darted so rapidly after the girl it was akin to the speed of an arrow. Isabella snapped her head toward it, startled yet again at the creature that never ceased to follow her whereabouts.

It didn't take her long to find Dean still seated in his car, but she didn't burst out of the brush just yet. Instead, she stood behind a tree and poked her head around it to observe him. She cocked her head, her inky locks falling all around her olive face, and she squinted to attempt and see through the fog that misted the windows.

"I said what I could before that damned bird appeared," Selene growled, continuing her voyage into the library. "I'm not pleased, Michael. If I wasn't forced to remain in secret, I'd stake that pureblood monster Avalon myself."

She stopped at the doors, then turned and faced the handsome young man. For the first time since she had arrived, her cold statuesque features softened dramatically - a sign she viewed as weakness that she would only show Michael. The steel in her light blue irises turned to water, and her straight rosebud lips curled considerably. She placed a small hand on Michael's cheek, stroking the outline of his bone structure and ended at his chin, where she dropped her hand.

"Oh Michael," she whispered. "You've always been the warmer one. Sometimes I envy the way you freely trust people."

At the mention of a little French word, ma petite, Selene's smile wavered and she recoiled to enter the building, knowing he'd follow. She led him to the farthest corner of the building where the shades were drawn and there were no people around. She searched the span of the bookshelves for something in particular; her gaze, as always, was fierce and although her eyes were grey-blue, they were fiery.

"That is precisely what I suspect," she answered, stalking the span of the shelves. She paused at one particular book of vampire folklore, but she didn't pick it up. She turned and faced Michael again. "It follows that girl Isabella around like a vulture. I want to assume it's that foolish vampire Aleksei's doing, since it doesn't seem to have intentions of harming her."

She hesitated for a second and gnawed on her lip.

"The others are coming soon, Michael. We need to be prepared."

Isabella held her breath. She couldn't believe she was watching this student wielding a sawed off double barrel shotgun. She flinched when she heard him challenge her to reveal herself, and she normally would, but she couldn't understand why he felt so threatened that he needed a shotgun to protect himself. He stepped closer and with horror in her wide topaz eyes, she saw that he was aiming straight at her. She was about to scream when a violent, animalistic noise exploded in the air as two creatures- a bat and the crow she had seen earlier- attacked the boy. She cried out and immediately jumped from behind the tree to his aid, but they stopped and flew off.

Both of them were huffing and puffing, only Isabella remained quiet as she trembled in front of him, her heart hammering wildly inside her chest. Her mind was spinning so rapidly, she couldn't form words, letalone speak. She just gazed at him, her eyes wide with hurt and fear. She took a tentative step backward when she cast her attention to the shotgun still in his hands. She raised her own as if in surrender, still shaking madly.

"I-I'm sorry," she said, though her voice was so strained and quaky it was barely audible. "I'll leave. I shouldn't have snuck up on you."

Isabella instinctively pulled her arm out of his grasp, though she didn't mean it offensively as much as in caution. Her eyes searched his, as if looking for an answer, but she nodded in realizing there would be no such thing. Whatever he and Selene were up to was their own business, and although she was curious - however frightened she may be of the boy - she allowed this incident to slip past. Then she cast her golden eyes to the ground and turned to walk away.

"I won't tell anyone," she began, then paused for effect. She seemed to be thinking, and turned to look over her shoulder at him. "But you have to tell me why you're so heavily armed. What could possibly be so threatening that you need an entire arsenal to feel safe? Nothing ever happens in Sable."

She was about to walk away, but another thought popped into her head. She furrowed her brows and frowned pensively. Dean was preparing for what seemed like an attack, after speaking with the mysterious new girl. What could she have told him that made him so defensive and uptight? She ran a hand through her ebony locks, her mind still reeling and adrenaline still pumping through her veins. Her trembling began to steady itself though, and at the sight of the watchful crow, she felt considerably more safe.

"I don't even know your name," she continued, chuckling in her uneasiness. She glanced back up at the bird and sighed.

Dean clenched and unclenched his hands, his eyes captured the very crow she gazed at. It was the same one that attacked him, the same one watching him. He was overcome with a sudden urge that needed to be unleashed.

A single shot ended the bird's existance, its body erupted into blood. Of course, it was a shadow puppet, how typical. Lowering the shot gun down, Dean reloaded and hid it back in his jacket. "That crow was pissing me off..." He explained, then looked down at Isabella, He sighed and said, "My name is Dean and... No you're wrong, things happen, you've just never noticed. I'm a hunter. Does that answer your burning question?"

Isabella was overwhelmingly horrified. She was paralyzed in place as the rabid looking shadow bats encircled her like a spinning vortex, causing her hair to fly wildly around her and her dress wave around. She cupped her mouth, though the gesture was pointless because no sound was emitted. Wings scraped against her arm, but the cut wasn't deep enough to draw blood. Then the explosion of Dean's gun dispersed the horde, and she felt herself being shoved to the ground. She dug her face into the dirt, shutting her eyes and listening to the chaos unfolding around her at lightspeed.

She heard Dean groan with pain and immediately she looked up, her fear heightened but adrenaline starting to pump through her veins again. Her eyes were glossy and her brows furrowed as she watched him helplessly, feeling immensely stupid that she couldn't help. And then, to her utter terror, she saw the bats mutate into the face of a humanesque face, though Isabella knew it certainly wasn't. Her eyes widened, but still, she couldn't scream. And then the creature cackled, addressing them both but Isabella specifically by her name, heightening her fear.

"Dean!" she cried, as she wobbled to her feet. She felt a comforting arm pose as a shield, as she felt considerably more safe, though it wasn't saying too much.

And then the bats morphed into the figure of a boy, and Dean almost instinctively shot it; there was an explosion of black and crimson, a cackle, and then the boy was gone. This left the two teenagers in a post traumatic daze- well, Isabella more than Dean, who actually seemed very composed- and huffing. Trembling, Isabella put her hands around Dean's arm, almost as if she were clutching him to her heart.

"What...what the hell was that?" she whispered shakily. "Dean, how did it know my name?"

A powerful blast of energy escaped the barrel of the Silver Moon gun. So potent was the force that it shook Dean to his bones. The bullets pummeled through the floating head of the pureblood child’s skull disrupting its shadowy particles to mere ashes. The lingering bats were decimated as a result. Dean’s electric blue eyes were wild, the pupils pulsing over his irises, the color drained from his face and he grit his teeth, the gun still firmly aimed in place he kept waiting, as if something more were to pop up and say hi.

“What the hell was that?” Isabella asked behind him, he was aware now that the little pressure on his arm were her own arms twined through his, she was equally rattled, perhaps more so. He pictured her golden orbs scanning the area, just to be sure that there were no more attacking bats around. Good girl.

After about a minute -which felt like an eternity, Dean responded, “Shadow puppets.” Before he finally tore his gaze from the sky to glance back at Isabella, his eyes roved her up and down, she looked alright so that was all that mattered to him. He ignored his own aches and lowered the gun, however that didn’t mean the threat was over. Something else was near, he felt the aura of it and found it quite familiar.

“We should get going-” He began, his brows knitted a mixture of intensity and anxiety as he gripped her hand, and walked back toward his car.

Isabella’s fingers slipped from his grasp and the hunter spun on his heel just in time to see a dark shadowy figure holding her bridal-style in his arms.

“Let her go!”

“Or what, you’ll shoot me?”

Dean didn’t like how still the girl was in the monster’s arms, it made his entire being jumpy and if it weren’t for the very reason that she was in that ass’ way, he would have shot him down.

“Aleron, you have ten seconds to tell me why you want her.”

The shadows cleared to form the very man in question and to no surprise for Dean he looked exactly the same as he’d seen him last several years ago, when his father and the pureblood agreed to sign a treaty of some sort in establishing the school.

Worry not Salvatore, you've done well in protecting her life, but there is something else that needs to be done, I will take care of itâ€Ļmeanwhile, you continue what you came here to do.

The thought probed into the hunter’s mind, he shook his head hating the piercing stare of those lurid crimson eyes, he tsked and said through clenched teeth, “You still didn't tell me what you’re gonna do to her!”

A soft glint touched the pureblood’s eyes, and the barest hint of a smile tugged at his lips “I’m going to clear her memories of this event that were never meant for her eyes to perceive, your secret will remain as it stands, take more precautions next time. “

Clear her memories “You have no right to-”

A powerful gust of air whipped around them and he was gone. Despite his resentment, the hunter had the deepest conviction that the bastard wouldn't hurt her. However that wasn't enough to calm him down and he had no choice but to hunt after the skin-walker.

"Yup, but as I'd said before, never had the interest to look into it. So I may not have all the deets on all the sketchy stuff they've been up to. All I know is that they can't be trusted, and whatever they're up to now, well, I know it'll get ugly."

Veratos let out as she zoomed in on the school, something was there, something powerful, and it really did needed to be stopped before this bomb of dark energy erupted in the small town. It was a possibility that the power just may wipe out the town itself off the map -that was just a hunch of hers for she had no way to tell. Nearing the school she reached for both of her blades, pulling them out in a swift motion ready to strike it through a demon's head. At Selene's quirp she chuckled, "I think that lunatic inbred is up to something, I'm pretty sure he's aware of the situation but has decided that we're enough to handle it, which would explain why he isn't jumping in to join us on this field trip! But hey why complain? More for us to slay and for that I have no problem dealing with, even if were just me against them. Don't think, just do and go with it!" The woman soared above the morning sky, landing upon the roof, just below she'd noticed Lyra, hesitating before the school entrance, probably gripped by fear. That was normal, for a human, however what most people would feel as fear, she felt an adrenaline rush, similar to riding a roller coaster. This was something she looked forward to almost everyday, her and Dean taking out the demons or other monsters. Keeping the balance.

"Good Holmes, you cover the top, I'll clear out the bottom," Dean said as he zipped to the ground level, alighting to the ground, he swung Rebellus out, it's supernatural energies pouring out in a thick crimson and ebony light as he raced passed the frozen medium with her ghost companion. "Hey don't just stand there, if you wanna get paid you gotta do something." He addressed her briefly, snapping her out of her trance. Glancing up to the still air born Selene he called out to her, "You take the upper floors, make sure you get them all, and if you find the Hell Gate let me know if you can! And whatever you do, don't die!"

With that said, he sent a powerful kick at the double doors, bursting them off its hinges before blasting in with a swing at a bunch of demons that quickly sprang toward him upon his entrance.

"This place reeks with suppressed energy, hard to -breathe." He noted as he whipped the blade around to slice through a group of them trying to catch him from behind. Then he continued down the corridor, aiming Silver Moon at his targets he shot a bunch of bullets, many of them burst into black, foggy smoke as they perished, but others he realized with alarming horror were going after the weaker ones and devouring them absorbing their energy and increasing their strength! Awesome. Another thing he noticed were that the demons had a difficult time leaving the school, was a barrier put up? By who?

"Ah, the son of Adacio has graced us with his presence, it was about damn time." Said Calanthe Calisen, the chair lady of Rosen Hale. She was decked out in a leather coat, looking like a Matrix chick herself, sexy. She held a giant machine gun, and a devilish smirk on her face. "So far the others have kept the groups of 'em at bay, but with the morning coming on I doubt they'll be able to keep up at it. The portal was set up in the Gymnasium by a student, who is surely not graduating. Not from my school. I got this here, Salvatore, go and get rid of that portal now!"

"I'm on it!" Dean said, not taking any more seconds to ask her how she knew that about him, he hadn't even know that about himself, in any case he knew that he would find out the truth soon enough. He knew his father's name was James Salvatore, who was this Adacio guy? Breaking the locked Gym doors down he was met with a wall of concentrated spiritual pressure that made it difficult to push in and walk through the doors, and yet, at the same time he felt every cell in his body attracted to the source. How freaky? The blade in his hand pulsed like crazy, its glow brightening at sensing the high spirit energies. Gritting his teeth, Dean stepped forward, forcing himself further, keep going, don't give up now, keep walking!

"I will destroy this world and everyone in it!" A deep and scratchy voice announced by the demon straining to force all this power into the human body it was possessing, behind the student, there was the giant Hell Gate he's been searching for, in it was the opening that connected the physical world to Hell basically. And in order for Dean to close it, he had to tango with the culprit that sprung it ope, send it right back in for it to close entirely.

"Damn, you snuck in disguised as a human, that's just sick!"Dean yelled, pointing the edge of his blade at the freshman student that looked like he was a nerd, the glasses and bow tie was a big give away. The kid was floating up in the air, his body reeled and writhed in spasms and his eyes were lurid an ugly black tinge that engulfed his eyes, even the white parts. The boy glanced down at the presence of a powerful spiritual energy below, a familiar one. "So, the Adacio legacy lives on through you, I smell his blood in you, the way you hold that sword confirms it. I've been waiting for the time we were to cross again! Now I don't have to hold back!" The boy lurched forwards, his back tearing as the real demon's form broke away from its shell, roaring loudly.

Dean smirked at the monster, "Hah, so this is what you really look like!" He was aware that the monster knew about his past too, would he be open for a little chat before they began fighting?

"Precisely, now I will end your pitiful life and eat your heart!" The big boss yelled, shooting at the hunter burst of electric-ish balls of energy that burned away at whatever it camein contact with, Dean saw it hit the wood floor and melt it away, revealing the earth underneath. Deep shit. That was a warning, not to get hit by them, so he dodged each blow as he closed in the space in between them and swung Rebelus "Haaaaaaa!" He yelled as he attacked the beast.

"Why. Don't. You. All. Disappear.Already?!"

Veratos shouted with each kill by her twin katanas, she'd managed to take out an entire army of the cretins collecting on the roof top, but she quickly realized that even if she killed them, more and more would come. That barn door needed to be closed or this little free-for-all were going to be too much for the barrier to take, it might even shatter. She knew it was the only thing up keeping most of the weaker demons inside. While the other stronger ones tried to break out, she went after them in quick precision, she wondered if Selene was holding up her own. She was just a vampire hunter, this kind of vanquishing must be an even wilder chase for her. "Hell I shouldn't be worrying, she got herself into this crap,I'm positive she'll get herself out. Dean, you better get this bastard, even if you don't remember being the Ace killer, somethings gotta give!" She brought the blades down on one of the more powerful demons, slicing in an X fashion, they disintegrated to smoke.

"Aleksei, you mean the pureblood? Who knows... You're not thinking of going out there on a man hunt now are you? Dean told you to stay here, I can't have you strolling around out there alone, you know why." Billie explained, he was back at his desk that was facing the open kitchen concept, there weren't many rooms in the place to begin with so, "What does the letter say girl? Did it reveal something useful, anything that matches my research?" He watched her warily, what if she suddenly got up and ran out? How would he be able to catch up to her then? Was leaving her here a good idea after all?

Aleksei squinted against the sunlight hiking up the sky, both him and Michael were a little breathless, him more worn out than the other, he wasn't the one wielding a weapon that hurt to touch, much less ate away at the flesh of his hand.

"There's some disturbance out there, I can feel it, like a head ache, only more annoying." He said, taking a moment to break out of the battle and notice the danger outside this. He had yet to realize Michael taking this chance to strike at him...

Isabella's breaths became slow and shallow, and as Aleksei held her in his arms she Egan trembling uncontrollably. She closed her eyes, and saw a woman whose face was blurred, dressed in elaborate robes with long black hair. She stepped onto an altar where a man lay on a table, covered in a sheet and visibly dying. This woman then brought her wrist to her lips, took a bite, and held a mouthful of her blood behind her lips. Then she brought her mouth to his, kissed him passionately, and he woke up- once that happened, Isabella jolted awake in Aleksei's arms as he set her on the ground beside Dean.

She looked over at him, her eyes shining and hopeful, and mustered the warmest smile she could. Then she lifted her wrist to Aleksei, asking him to bite; when he did so, she winced, but immediately recoiled and brought the wound to her mouth. The taste of her own blood was so repulsive that she nearly gagged, but the scent to the others would be like that of the most delectable dessert. Once she took a mouthful, she rolled over onto her elbows, ignoring the searing pain on her stomach. She then leaned toward him, pressing her soft lips to his, and allowing him to swallow, should he accept it. When they kissed, a warm golden aura glowed like starlight around them, though this could only be seen to the trained eye and felt by the spiritually sensitive.

"Dean... Please, don't die on me..." she whispered, her voice shaky and sad. "I...I..."

She turned and looked over at Aleksei, falling back into his arms, and gazing at him pitifully. She was growing weak, just as Dean had, and it appeared that she was dying. Upon seeing Aleksei's deep concern, Selene placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, as if trying to reassure him that she was going to be okay. Her brows were furrowed and a frown etched along her beautiful features.

"If... He doesn't heal soon... Let him drink until he does," Isabella said, curling her finger's around Aleksei's jacket. She pulled him close to her, eyes alight and grave. "But don't you dare let him die, no matter what, understand? He can't die..."

She closed her eyes, her heartbeat having slowed until she became unconscious. Selene observed the girl curiously, then turned to Dean, hoping that Isabella's strange endeavor would prove effective. She couldn't comprehend what had just happened, or how Isabella knew what to do, or the connection between the human girl and the hunter. It was all so odd, but at the same time strangely familiar. She knew of stories about star crossed lovers and destined soul mates because of her father, but she had never actually seen it in action before.

Aleksei was taken aback when Isabella stirred from sleep? She'd glanced up at him, her eyes strong, certainty in her gaze, the look made his own heart squeeze not so gently, he'd remembered an instant Maria had shot him that look. As if to say, "I'm here now, everything will work out. I'm sure of it." He was impressed at how quickly she could take charge, again reminding him of Mina. Where was she anyways? Her not being here made him worry, he hadn't sensed her presence anywhere when he had rushed over here with Isabella and Sera in a white Lamborghini Murcielago. She said she would be here helping Dean, why wasn't she? His thoughts were interrupted when Isabella smiled at him beautifully, then shot her wrist up at him for him to bite, at that, he turned his face away instinctively, his hand taking her offered wrist and he smiled ironically, his heart picking up speed. Did she forget he was a pureblood? One bite, even if on a wrist would turn her into what Selene was now. Though he couldn't help but feel the slightest tug of temptation to indeed bite her. The vampire resisted though and with a grim look flooding his features he drew a small thin line across her delicate flesh, her crimson blood beading at the slit that wasn't deep, but enough for her to continue what she'd been starting. His eyes flared rosy and he could feel his fangs growing longer, had he not gotten blood from Mina he didn't know if he'd be able to keep such tight control over himself, keeping his gaze averted from her delicious smelling life blood he released her wrist.

She latched her lips into the cut on her wrist, collected some into her mouth and moved in to kiss Dean, her blood flowing freely into his. Aleksei sunk back on his heels, waiting, all the while, keeping his mind off the scent by taking a few pieces of her hair into his fingers, bringing the silken wavy strands to his nose, basking in this aroma, as though smelling a rose. She was, and he focused on this, closing his eyes he tried to relax. It would all be over soon.

Something warm, and of the strangest taste, blood, he recognized pooled into the back of Dean's throat, swallowing it to prevent choking, something happened. Light, so bright, brighter perhaps than the sun itself illuminated, then a heat so intense filled his insides like fire. What the hell? His eyes snapped open and the blue of his irises burned away to gold, deep molten lava-ish gold. Only for a second before they filled with ocean blue again and they closed, a low groan escaped his lips and he rolled away when Isabella separated from him, her voice rang in his ears, "Dean... Please, don't die on me..." she whispered, her voice shaky and sad. "I...I..."

She turned back to face Aleksei, whose eyes opened, returning to their natural deep wine color and he accepted her with open arms. "You did well Isabella, he won't die, right Dean, it takes more than that to kill you." Aleksei held on to Isabella, he almost felt like cuddling her closer, but he held her simply, she was in pain, and he only wanted to comfort her and nothing more. He could feel Selene settle a comforting hand on his shoulder and he gave her an acknowledging nod. AS if to say I know she'll be fine.

Dean pushed himself off the floor and sat up, the burning sensation spread out in his veins, his heart pumping it all over, whatever that was, it seemed to fix him. That didn't mean it was comfortable, he'd felt everything, every shift of muscle forming, regrowing, organs repairing itself, fractured ribs snapping back into place, his own blood pressure hiking up, awakening his senses on hyper drive, his skin was hot to the touch as if he was having a high fever. He glanced over at the pureblood who cradled Isabella in his arms as though she were an infant. He frowned, what was she doing here? Then he glanced down, inspecting himself, he was sure he had a giant hole there where his stomach was, he pressed his hand against the now fully healed perfectly sculpted torso and felt his own touch, along with a blood soaked jacket. He glanced up to see Vera, and he sighed looking a bit spent.

he gasped, "Tell me you bought water with you..."

"Sera." Aleksei said, that was all that was needed for the vampire servant to react, she tossed a bottle to the hunter who caught it, opened it, and guzzled it down, all of it.

"Dean you idiot I'm so happy you're not dead!" Vera cheered, launching herself at him in a hug that sent them both falling back onto the floor. She kissed his cheek and squeezed him so tightly he couldn't breathe. He tried to pull her off but she would not budge. She clung to him like static cling.

"V-Vera...Can't...Breathe...Get...OFF!" he gasped, struggling in her killer embrace.

She quickly detached herself from him when she realized he was passing out.

"My bad. Jeez, you're hot." she looked at him, concern evident on her features, and she pressed a hand on his forehead feeling the heat of his sweaty skin.

"You're not that bad either." he said a bit dazed, then he remembered Isabella and turned his attention to Aleksei and the girl in his arms. "What happened to her?"

Aleksei's sharp features only intensified, he glared at the hunter none too pleased, "You happened Salvatore, because of your recklessness she nearly died."

Dean frowned, confusion in his clear eyes, he took a deep breath and lowered his eyes to Isabella, her skin dewy, as though she were in a sauna room with him, it sure felt that way, what was going on?

"I think you too are linked, even beyond what I imagined, I don't know whether to be appalled or awed, but that also means you have to be more careful, whatever happens to you, happens to her."

Dean's jaw tightened as he realized what this meant, gripping the jacket, he stood and approached the pureblood who appeared to not want the hunter anywhere near Isabella, but then he reluctantly allowed the hunter to kneel before his queen, gently touch her hair, her forehead, his countenance sorrowful.

"She felt it too, how is that possible?" the hunter couldn't deny it, the proof was there, she also felt warm in his touch, and there was a ghost of pain in her brows, "I'm sorry Isabella, I... did this..."

Veratos sunk behind him, resting her arm on his shoulder, a smile touching her lips, "Aww Dean don't get all pouty now, there was no way you'd ever known you were bonded to her. Must be some kind of Witchy woo-woo spell put on you both, how convenient huh? Place such a tricky thing like that on our team's most valuable player. I know I'd be pissed."

Someone was back to her old self.

"I will find a way to undo this, I can't risk dying and taking her with me, I just can't." Dean said, feeling the intensity of the heat lower to a warmth, as if he were standing close to a fireplace. It felt very good and tingly, only heightening at being so close to Isabella, he felt it like a spark when his fingers brushed her skin. "She should rest, Aleksei I think it's best if she stays with you." he was saying as he stood, Vera rose behind him, taking her jacket and flipping it over her back, she placed a hand on her hip and she glanced at Selene, winking at her in an invite to follow.

"She doesn't listen to me, I think you can reach her in ways that I can't."

Aleksei gripped the girl, "You better not let yourself get any more serious injuries boy or you'll be hearing from me."

"Yeah, yeah I get it, don't need to shuv it down my throat." the hunter said annoyed, he still didn't like the pureblood but what were his options? He gestured with a hand for all three of his companions to follow him out, Selene, Michael (if he felt like it), and of course, Veratos.

"Where are you going?" Aleksei asked, curious.

"To find me a witch, won't be easy but I got my sources. Later." Dean was saying as he walked out of the gym.

Selene's eyes were glowing furiously at the intoxicating scent of Isabella's blood. Her teeth budded but she turned away and snapped her eyes shut, trying mightily to fight the newfound burning instinct to suck her dry. She could even hear how she had sucked her own blood, and how her heart was beating angrily to produce more for the hunter, as if it knew he was wounded. Selene grasped Michael until her cut wrist was bound, though it did little to stifle her delicious scent.

As Isabella teetered in and out of consciousness, she could see images of a past time in her mind, though she couldn't recognize if they were dreams or reality. In her vision, she saw the dark haired woman in robes again and what looked like festivities happening around her. Everyone was dancing, and though Isabella couldn't hear the music, she could see musicians playing. Seated on elevated thrones around the ballroom was what appeared to be a council of elders, though not one of their faces were tainted with age. Among them, she swore she could recognize Aleksei's form, unmoving as he watched the dancers. The dark haired woman turned to look at him, and she could see Aleksei smile, almost the exact reaction as when he looked at Isabella.

Then she was brought briefly back to consciousness, where she could hear the others talking all around her about how she and the hunter were linked, probably by some spell. She furrowed her brows, reacting to someone's unfamiliar touch, though she guessed it might have been Dean. His voice was a bit stifled, but she knew he was talking about leaving her once again at the mercy of Aleksei. This irked Isabella, but she slipped once again back into her visions.

This time, the handsome face of a dark haired man could be seen looming over two cribs. The dark haired woman and Aleksei were both present, though none of them seemed very happy. The woman buried her face into the handsome man's chest, and it appeared that she was sobbing while Aleksei gazed solemnly into the cribs. Another woman appeared- this one she recognized immediately as her grandmother- and she reached into one of the infant cradles, taking hold of a beautiful blue eyed boy. She kissed his forehead, though the baby didn't appear to like it much, and her grandmother grinned proudly before settling him back down.

Isabella then woke up, gazing around in confusion as she realized she was still in Aleksei's arms. She was moist with sweat and quite feverish, and there was a small throbbing pain in her wrist. She pushed herself to sit up, arms linked around Aleksei's neck, who held her so protectively it was almost as if she were his possession. As she trembled in his arms, she watched as Selene joined Dean and Veratos, whose forms were gradually retreating. Isabella sighed.

"Why does he keep leaving me behind?" she asked, frowning. She raised her voice as best she could, directed at Dean as he walked away. "You know, I'd listen to you if you stopped dropping me off with babysitters!"

She willed herself to stand, despite Sera and Aleksei's brooding looks. She crossed her arms, still shaking, and huffed. Then she turned to Aleksei, knowing he probably would object to having Isabella follow after her object of affection. She just couldn't help it though; she was literally linked to the boy in a way she couldn't understand. She needed to be near him, and he just kept pushing her away, much like Isabella did to Aleksei.

"I...I had thsee weird dreams just now," she told him, switching between Aleksei and Sera. "I have this feeling like they're memories, or visions or something. Like I was there, and..."

Her voice trailed off as she watched Dean disappear. Her face then became downcast, and she felt onc again confused and out of the loop. She didn't want to be treated like a fragile weakling who had to be defended because she was too clueless to defend herself. It made her feel sick and powerless, something Isabella was not fond of, because she has always been independent and free spirited.

"Maybe Isabella is right, Dean," Selene suggested softly. "We can't always be at her side and Aleksei is just one man. She has to learn how to fight her enemies... That, and I really think she likes you. I can see it in her eyes."

Then she glanced at Vera, who would no doubt be unhappy about that statement. Selene could smell the desire emanating from the surly huntress. Selene was quiet after that, turning to look over her shoulder at Isabella, who watched Dean longingly. She looked as pitiful as a puppy watching its owner leave him behind. She shook her head, wondering how in the world the two could be bonded together- was it truly because a witch had cursed them? Or was it perhaps because the moment they set eyes on each other their souls tied together?

She didn't know; but by the look in that girl's face, it was clear she had feelings for the detached hunter. It was a sad thing to witness, much like Selene had been to Michael before she turned. But perhaps it was what was best for the two- that, or their separation from each other could prove to be fatal. Nothing made sense; there were still so many pieces of this giant puzzle that the teenagers had to clue together. And where in the world was that little exorcist?

"Exactly my point, because we can't be at her side, and her fighting skills suck, she needs to be were it's safe. Are you suggesting I bring her along if she doesn't even know how to wield a knife, much less aim and shoot at a target with a gun if push comes to shove?" Dean asked, thinking it though even after having said this, maybe it wasn't a bad idea to have the girl come along. This wasn't exactly a case, nor did it involve any supernatural monsters -a witch didn't count. He sighed heavily, then he remembered with a sudden jolt, that he forgot something hugely important back at the gym. So he rushed back in, found his blade lying on the ground, his blood pooled in smears and splatters all over, he slowed, walking, he reached the blade, picked it up and swung it behind him, as if sheathing it. As he started to walk out, he felt her gaze, and he made the hugest mistake of glancing back and seeing the cutest, saddest, bambi eyes he'd ever seen a girl posses. Isabella, the only one who could make him feel so guilty. Frowning considerably with everything in his gut rejecting what his heart felt he rose a hand to rub the back of his neck tightly, "Fine, you can come with us. Just don't pull any disappearing acts on me." he said bitterly, knowing Aleksei wouldn't agree, and would probably chew him out later if she got hurt. Not waiting for her to say anything, he left the gym, then informed the others that Isabella was joining them for the day. Which meant they all had to be on double high alert mode for the rest of the day.

Vera rose a deductive brow, the young man was indeed blinded by love, letting it cloud his judgement. It didn't matter if the girl came or not, they were all here to protect her, it was what they did after all, protect people. Only she didn't like his sudden change of heart, she would have to have a serious talk with him later, this was a guy who used to make a decision and stick to it. No one could ever make him change his mind afterward, she really hoped that this would be the only time he let this happen, it couldn't become a habit. At least she wasn't going to let it be. Sighing as she hesitated, she glanced back to see if the girl was gonna follow or not, they needed to get this over and done with.

The pureblood stood when Isabella did, he never expressed his discontent, but if she were to look closely into his eyes, she just may see the obvious fear there. She wanted to be with Dean, and by no means was he going to stop her from getting what she wanted, she was his queen and her wish was his command. Well, when it applied to little things like these, where as if he were going on say, a dangerous quest, Aleksei would have never allowed the girl to go with Dean anywhere. Smiling gently, he nodded his head, "If it's the hunter you wish to pursue, then by all means go for it. Of course, that doesn't mean I won't be tagging along as well. You're safety is my only concern as I have expressed countless times before. If this is what will make you happy, than I can't stop you." he gestured for Sera to leave, and the servant bowed before departing. Despite his sleepiness, the pureblood wasn't going to let Isabella out of his sights, so he would indeed go with her anywhere she went, except for the bathroom. Duh.

"Guys commin' or what, we don't have all freaking day, witches like to trek in the woods for herbs and crap, we're gonna have to get a move on if we want to find one around!" Veratos said, impatiently, she huffed and turned, walking down the halls ahead.

"Let's go Isabella," Aleksei said, walking with her to the doors, he opened it for her and gallantly motioned her onward.

"You're gonna have to learn how to aim and shoot this, try not to loose it. It's not everyday I give away guns. Especially to non-hunters." Dean said, he handed her his Beretta, surely Vera would be beyond pissed, but it was the most powerful weapon minus the Silver Moon he had that could possibly protect her. It beats giving her a sawed-off shot gun that would prove more trouble some for her to learn how to use than this. "I'll fill you in on how to refill later, it's already loaded, just don't aim it at anyone, or shoot yourself by accident."

"Are you sure that's a good idea Salvatore?" Aleksei questioned him semi-annoyed as he eyed the gun suspiciously. They all started walking after Vera who was more in a hurry to get on going than the rest of them it seemed.

"Yeah, I don't think she's entirely incompetent. She's got a good head on her shoulders, quick thinking is a very useful skill, one she has." he glanced at Isabella and winked at her, a bit comforted (though he would NEVER admit it to Aleksei) that the pureblood had tagged along, makes protecting Isabella much better. "Think of it as a thank you gift for the blood you gave me, now we're even." he smirked and continued walking on ahead, hating the glare Aleksei was shooting him. Okay so the pureblood wasn't exactly giving him an unnerving glare, but Dean could feel it, as if the pureblood were shooting holes into him. It made him antsy, so he gave them space, he wanted Isabella, he could have her. What did the hunter care? It's not like he came here to get a girlfriend or anything like that anyways, as soon as this was all over he was splitting. Jack.

"Hey, Ver." Dean caught up with the huntress.
"What?"
"What happened back there?"
"Hmm, a lot, like our battle with a hell beast, you almost dying, Isabella giving you her blood, your reaction to it, could you be more specific?"
Dean nudged his shoulder into her, "You know what I damn well mean Veratos. Her blood, and my body and that heat... Why did it happen? What does it mean, and why do I get the feeling you know more than you're willing to give?"

Veratos smiled, gave him a side ways glance and couldn't hold back a chuckle, every time she locked gazes with him she could see that fire in his eyes, that strong will that always helped push through any obstacle thrown his way. Almost his old safe, but not quite. Was she beginning to like this new side of him, instead of favoring the old him? "Those are all a lot of big questions, concerning your reaction to Isabella my best guess it that her blood works like 'speed' on your healing factor. I mean, you were going to heal from those injuries, but I was afraid that by the time you did, you would've drained yourself dry. I'm just glad it all turned out well. As for everything else, well, you'll come to remember it all soon. Hopefully." she stared ahead as they passed by an open classroom door, a few vampires were there inspecting the damage, covering up the remains of a mutilated demon with a white sheet. She frowned and continued on faster, just wanting to leave this school and never turn back, not liking it much anymore. "We're the same, you and I... And them." she let out, averting his gaze, "but you are unique, you've got something different all your own."

"What the hell do you mean by that?" Dean asked, seeing her sudden discomfort at the topic, she even quickened her pace, and he kept up with her, his longer legs eating up more ground, so it wasn't that hard to. He leaned in a bit, trying to capture her gaze, it was as if she were trying to hide by not looking back and it annoyed him that she refused to spit out her intel. He didn't like secrets, especially when he was involved, he was beginning to understand what Isabella was going through, not knowing and having to go out blindly into the world you thought was safe only to horrifyingly get surprised and left hangin' with questions no one would clearly answer.

"I smell blood, and a lot of it." Ver suddenly announced and she started running.

Alarmed, Dean glanced back at the others, nodding at them, he followed Veratos as she raced toward the source.

Aleksei took Isabella by the wrist, the one that hadn't been cut and urged her to stay back while the others investigated. All he knew was that the scent didn't belong to anyone he knew, it smelled human, it had a hint of that, but also something else.

((I'm leaving you to supply what the heck is going on. Feels like I'm controlling what's going on in this, now it's your turn to take up what happens next for a spin XD))
