Introduction
For decades people with incredible abilities would put on masks and defend the world from evil doers. But twenty years ago that all came crashing down in a flood of lawsuits and public outrage. The world was tired of superheroes lording over them as some kind of all powerful protectors. To this end Superheroes were granted amnesty for past actions, stopping the ceaseless lawsuits, and relocating the former heroes into civilian life. People with extraordinary powers were forced into white collar jobs and a mundane existence. There was one group of people no-one considered in all this, the sons and daughters of those now exiled to average lives. The Super powered children of heroes living normally in schools and homes, with normal friends and hobbies. They are taught from an early age to fit in, to be average, unremarkable and to above all else, not use their unique gifts for any reason. Until now.
Two days ago several former superheroes and their families went missing off the streets. When their super powered children returned home from school they found themselves alone in their homes. At first their only thought was confusion, but after a couple of days you decide its time you investigated yourself. You, among others, decide to start your search at the one place you know you can find the tools to help, Mount Justice. The former headquarters of the Superhero League now abandoned, but youโre not the only one that had that thought.
You use your mother or fathers secret entrance code to enter and find others in the main hall. During the story that is about to unfold they will have to Sway Public Opinion (That heroes are too powerful and dangerous) find their parents and defeat old enemies. This story will herald the return of both Heroes...and Villains.

OOC: hey guys! This an idea I have been playing with for some time. The basic frame of it I got whilst watching...yep The Incredibles. But I evolved it a bit to make it my own little universe ๏ You get the idea of it from the introduction, the first scene will be us arriving at Mount Justice, the former headquarters of a now defunct superhero team. All our parents would have been on this team at one point or another. None of us have any idea what to find and itโs very strange to find others with superpowers, remember there hasnโt been a superhero for twenty years. But yeah, the main point of this roleplay is to just have fun with it, to see how our different characters will interact and how/if they will become a new generation of heroes! Here's a few things to help build up the world for you a bit more, (Keeping it vague because your characters wont know either :P) The League was a huge team of heroes that operated all around the world but was based in America. It was disbanded when superheroes were outlawed. Mount Justice is abandoned. When heroes were outlawed Villains were hit as military targets, most were jailed or killed. Entire cities were devastated by fights between heroes and villains, this led to the belief that heroes can be just as dangerous. Anything else feel free to ask or even fill it in yourself :O
Also all characters in this roleplay must be original, including the parents (No Wolverines :P )
And the moment we have all been waiting for, ladies and gentleman I give you, the Character Skelly.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 6 authors
What am I doing here?
He thought he could come here and there would tools, people and everything he would need to track down his family. But no, nothing. Was he being naive? Now he was half way across the world in a strange country (any country where you have to wait until youโre twenty-one to buy alcohol is a strange country) with two maxed out credit cards inside a giant mountain. How had this helped him in any way? He should have just left it to the police, not indulge these fantasies of Superheroes and super villains. Did he truly think he could save his parents? That he could be a superhero? Alone? How was being immortal going to help take down a real super villain? He didnโt know Karate or Kung Foo, he wasnโt some kind of mathematical genius (In fact he failed Math twice) and he didnโt have any cool gadgets. Luke was, at best, a damn good human shield. But that couldnโt find his parents.
For a long time he sat on the couch opposite the super computer and stared at the logo, pushing his fingers into his eyes.
What am I going to do?
He lit up a cigarette and leant back, what would his mother have done in this situation? He turned around and eyed the displayed costumes of other superheroes. What would any of them done in his shoes? He continued to smoke, alone in the room. There was nothing he could do. Not by himself. Nothing made sense right now and he had accomplished so little by coming here. But hey, at the very least. He had a free bed tonight. He giggled to himself before taking another puff on his cigarette.
Annika's bony-fingers touched the number-pad, rapidly pressing one digit after another and entering the code that was printed on a small, plastic card. A series of bleeps rang, lights flickering on and off in the exact order that the buttons had been pressed and with squeaking slides one of Mount Justice's entrances opened up.
The girl sighed, whipping her head back to remove her sand-blonde hair from her sight. It did not bode well for her that there was a lack of maintenance, there was a good chance that the rustiness of this structure stretched far within it. And that- would be a terrible truth. Without gadgets or any from of digital assistance, Annika couldn't ever find information about the disappearance, slash possible abduction, of her parents.
Gently strolling down the dimly-lit pathway, the girl slowly nudged her head left and right with even less enthusiasm than one would give normally. None whatsoever, actually. A barren, abandoned and rusty place. It was a wonder, even to her, that the lights and doors were working. A good thing, yes, but it left Annika a bit confused. They'd need to have some bloody powerful generators for it to still be working like this.
But she hadn't travelled all the way from Europe to North America to take a sightseeing tour. The reason for coming here, and the reason for taking this entrance were one and the same. Tech, gadgets, gizmos, new-age-magic (As her father sometimes called his inventions.). You get the idea. Annika was lucky to have such a sloppy mother or she had never been able to find the entrance to, you guessed it, Mount Justice's Tech Lab. The one place where there may be crucial information and technology to locate her parents.
But, even that place did not deliver the satisfying answer, nor the means to get said answer. Give or take the bits of scrap, materials and tools the place was deserted of both life and gadgets. Annika found herself checking every inch of the room, taking her own slow turtle-speed time to nudge every board, every wall, every floor-cover to find anything of significant use.
Her face was, as always, a blank and absent expression. Her body showing no signs of wanting to cry or scream. The girl stood there, tranquil as always, emerald-green eyes scanning the environment rather hastily. But those who knew her, were aware that Annika was, without doubt, shocked by the emptiness.
The girl shook her head as her fingers gently pressed the device that hung next to a pure metal door, once again opening said door with squeaking noises, less than the one from before, though. What went through her mind was clear, Annika needed something that could assist in achieving her goal. And whether that be tech, books or, although the chance was null, people.
โhmmm what do you think Golem how should we get in?โ Terra asked. The two had been traveling underground for the past 16 hours heading to Mt. Justice. Terra preferred to move underground since it was ideally faster and safer for him and his Golem.
Golem was an awesome sight at least to Terra. He was his greatest creation and the first Golem he had ever made. Sitting on golems shoulder was quite comfortable where Terra could smell the flowers his mother had grown when Golem was just a flowerbed. They smelled very much like her, which reminded him of his home in Spain; on the farm the two had.
The only sound Golem made to acknowledge he heard Terra was a deep grumbling sound, like two rocks grinding against each other creating a great reverberating sound that come from deep within Golem. And considering what he was made of, Terra was pretty sure it was rocks grinding against each other.
โokay thenโ shaking his with a faint smile on his face they continued their walk as they had been; Terra moving the earth in front of him then letting it fall back when they passed through, Golem well he was just carrying Terra making sure he didnโt overexert himself by digging every now and then.
. . . Couple Hours Later. . .
Terra looked at the map he had in his hands that would lead him to Mt. Justice and realized that they were here. So he started pushing upwards, checking the map every now and then making sure he didnโt accidently plow right through something solid and breakable.
As they got closer to the surface Terra could faintly hear the sounds of nature or to be more precise the voices of all the plants that he would soon see literally.
As Golem broke through the last remaining layers of dirt Terra though of all the things he might find in Mt. Justice โwhat if she isnโt there, or what if by coming here he finds he wasted his time?โ.
Shaking his head to clear his mind on negative thoughts and focused on the voices of the plants around him which was slightly muffled until they finally burst through the surface and the voices magnified to loud whisperings in his ear.
Terra jumped off Golem and walked around a bit listening to the plants that were whispering all around him.
Smiling at what the plants said. They always said nice things to him. It seemed they remembered his mother Demitri and kept calling out her name until he corrected them and told them he was her son Terra. This resulted in them in singing his name in such a way his smile widened even more.
Looking back a Golem Terra said "Golem stay here alright Iโm going to explore for a bit make sure no one gets past you alright while Iโm gone" Golem nodding his giant head letting loose some clods of dirt and moss and sat down almost blending in with the scenery as Terra left.
Obediently, the smart car began to shut down, parking quite conspicuously a few yards away from the entrance of the giant mountain. The car belonged to his mother--who as of late, along with his father, had been quite absent--and had quite a number of nifty tricks, one of which Jay was searching for in the instruction manual. He found it quickly, recognizing the page immediately. Although the cloaking device could have been activated by voice command as well, there was a manual over-ride as well, something Jay found quite helpful as his parents had never needed to cloak the car--at least not when he was in it.
He pressed the correct button, rendering the sleek, stylish car invisible, and slid out, locking it and slipping the key in his pocket. He straightened out his jacket--designer, of course, and adjusted his mohawk slightly before heading towards the entrance.
He was somewhat disappointed in the keypad. As he punched in the code, he couldn't help but wish it had been voice-activated. Though he supposed, with his mother's ability, she would have been able to sneak in as anybody. His father would have just fried it. He smiled at the thought of his parents, but it was overtaken by a solemn frown as he walked through the metal doors.
He was surrounded by different vehicles. Some were cars, like his mothers, though he doubted they had the same capacities as hers. Probably different. One nearly looked like a rocket. There were also helicopters, an assortment of motorbikes, and even a jet. He walked around the somewhat ominous place silently, although he couldn't help feeling unnerved by the lack of sound. This was almost complete silence. He listened to it carefully in the hopes that he could reproduce this audial vacuum at another time.
He left the hangar and continued up a flight of stairs, though there was another flight travelling downward. So he hadn't parked at the base of the mountain....there must be several other lower levels.
The stairs led to a hallway. However, as Jay walked down it, the silence was broken up by what sounded like laughter. Tinny laughter. A giggle, more like. As he followed the sound, he noticed faint wisps of smoke fading out. One whiff proved it was cigarette smoke. How he hated the stuff. Screwed with your lungs and throat. However, despite his dislike for smoke, he knew that it meant someone else was here. Unsure on the loyalties of this person--was it a janitor? Or a police officer?--Jay tiptoed until his back was against the corner of the ending hallway. He waited, not wanting to leap into the larger room until he was completely prepared, and kept his ears peeled for more activity.
Noelle frowned at the metal doors leading into the interior of Mount Justice. Somehow, it didn't look like a main entrance one would have expected, but then and again, she had the inkling feeling that it wasn't the proper one either. Well, perhaps it might prove to be an advantage later on should it be a side entrance - one could never know what dwelled in a structure of this proportion.
She approached the rather crude-looking number pad attached at the side of the doors, before scrutinizing the simplicity of it. She reckoned she had seen better ones in movies, and the security checkpoint before her failed to impress. "5, 3, 6, 8, 8," Noelle muttered under her breath, referencing to a small piece of paper she clutched in her hand, whilst punching in the numbers with the other. And there she stood holding her breath, waiting expectantly for the doors to slide open. To no avail.
"What?" Noelle was in the act of repeating the earlier process when a mechanical voice spoke, causing her to jump in shock.
"Access denied," it bleeped. "File requested is already open in another application."
Both halves of Noelle's brain went to work at once. One half screamed: Now that's like it, whereas the other half almost shrieked: What do you mean access denied? She glared at the doors. There was silence for a moment or two before a whirring sound could be heard, and a robotic arm slid out smoothly from a hidden compartment just below the number pad. Noelle backtracked a few paces, eyeing the mechanism wearily as the metal hand held its palm out towards her.
"Place Zeon Shard here," the voice bleeped again.
Zeon Shard? Noelle's hand went straight up to her neck, fingering the little piece of smooth onyx-black rock that hung there. She found it in her mother's bedroom scarcely a day or two before, during her disappearance - along with her dad, of course. It had been laid out, exposed and prominent on their bedside table as though as they meant for her to see it. Could it be the 'Zeon Shard'? Well, she had better get it back.
Noelle gingerly placed the 'shard' on the metal palm, watching as a slim red line traveled up and down, scanning for the authenticity of the piece. Upon hearing a satisfied beep, Noelle quickly snatched the shard away. Finally, the metal doors slid open with a hiss.
Silence greeted her as she stepped into what seemed like the hanger of Mount Justice. An assortment of vehicles littered every spot, but none provoked much curiosity in the girl, save for the huge jet that lay sprawled like a great bird in one corner. Impressive, but that was about it. She continued along the metal walkway, leading to two flights of stairs: One up, and the other down. At this point, nothing seemed more inviting than the shadows below, considering that Noelle was feeling quite queasy because so far, the huge place seemed to be completely deserted. Dread failed to evade her as a certain amount of disappointment wormed its way into her heart. She loved the shadows, and the shadows loved her. All the better to defend herself with. And with that thought, she proceeded downstairs into the unknown; treading very, very carefully.
Neve treaded lightly as she approached the abandoned base, glancing around at the silent surroundings. After being empty for so long, the area gave her a sort of uneasy feeling. She wasnโt sure exactly what she was walking in to- what if she didnโt find her parents here? What if she found someone she wasnโt looking for at all? The thought of some formerly homeless person creeping around inside caused her to make a face. What a bad situation that would be. Somehow, the thought of walking through a spiderweb, which she would assume there were many of considering how long the place had been empty, made her just as uncomfortable if not more so.
A few yards away from the entrance, she paused. It definitely didnโt look like a main entrance, but it would do. As she approached it she saw a keypad off to the side of the door and her mind blanked for a moment before she remembered the short series of numbers that sheโd seen scrawled in the back cover of her fatherโs journal. She pulled the small book out from her pocket and flipped it open, eyes immediately landing on the numbers. โTwoโฆ sevenโฆ threeโฆ one, five.โ She uttered each number as it was punched in and then looked up to the door. Several lights flashed over the keypad and a series of mechanical-esque sounds could be heard before the door slid open.
The room she walked in to was nothing short of mindboggling for Neve. There was a clear, narrow walkway leading down to the other end of the large room, with either side being lined by large machines. Most of them seemed to be inactive, though some faint sounds could be heard from the machines on the outer edges as if they were fighting to keep working. After a few steps and several moments of silent thought, she decided that it must be a generator room at first. Not wanting to cause any damage to the generators by accidentally freezing part of one if she touched it, Neve quickened her pace, a light tapping sounds coming from her shoes.
At the end of the room there were several different doors, though most of them seemed to lead into rooms with even more delicate mechanics. Neve finally found the doorway leading into a stairwell. Taking a deep breath, she softly shut the door behind her and began to ascend, stepping slowly and lightly once again. It seemed odd to her that the stairs only went a few flights upwards considering how big Mount Justice had to be, but dismissed it after deciding that the generators were an important area that would likely be sectioned off from the rest. The last few steps creaked loudly as she rose off of them and in front of the door at the top of the stairs. Feeling a bit more confident than she had when she entered the facility, Neve lightly gripped the handle to the large door, pushing it outwards.
โBloody hell - Hello?โ
He said into the darkness behind him, still clearing his throat. He stood from the sofa and began to look around the main auditorium. He heard the doors, but the idea of someone else snooping around this place, it seemed impossible. Who else could possibly get in? A maybe an old hero, doing some kind of routine work? Maybe his mother? Maybe whoever kidnapped his mother and father? That last thought made him move a little slower. Maybe shouldnโt have called out into the darkness. But then again it could have just been nothing. He had been here for hours now. He was jet lagged and on edge. It might have been his imagination....right?
Cautiously he walked to the other side of the auditorium and towards the staircase, he began to relax a bit. There had been no other noises, maybe he had just imagined it. Maybe it was nothing. He found himself wondering whether or not the kitchen had a working kettle, a cup of tea right about now would be beautiful. A bit less tense he began to walk normally toward the doors to the stair case. The lights here were off and the darkness was lingering. He could just make out the outline of things in the blackness. He found himself tripping over a wire of sort and stumbling a couple of feet forward, he reached out to steady himself and grasped a nearby shoulder. At first nothing clicked, then he realized. That is a human shoulder, probably attached to a human body. And it was a cold shoulder, so cold that it made him leap back as soon as he had steadied himself.
โHoly hell!โ He almost screamed โWho are you?! You better back up! I know karate!โ
He tried to imitate a karate stance but gave up halfway through.
โOkay, I donโt know karate.โ He said, he could see her a little more clearly now. And yes it was a "her", a little younger than him. He stood up straight now, still shaking the cold from his hand, that was one cold shoulder. Eventually he found his voice again.
โWho-who are you?โ
Holding his breath, he kept his position, but he seemed the Brit--that had to be the accent--had traveled away from him.
Jay didn't want to take any chances. He waited about a minute before hazarding a glance.
The hallway, as he had guessed, opened up to not just a large room, but an auditorium. There was a humongous computer screen, several chairs, and what looked like several display cases around the perimeter. He checked, but whoever had been in here had left, leaving only a sparse trail of dissipating cigarette smoke. The coast seemingly clear, Jay inched in.
Costumes. So that's what was in the cases. Jay was immediately enamored, and he studied each one, walking silently to the next. Some he scowled at, the fashion sense completely in question. But when he got to his parents', he smiled. There was no doubting, there's were the most stylish. At least in his opinion. His mother's a sleek, shiny, yet somehow amorphous black suit. If it wasn't on a mannequin, it would have been very difficult to guess its purpose and shape. It was almost entirely full body, with gloves and tight boots to match. And the material looked silky, yet had a hint of a scaly pattern, probably owing to her reptilian hero name. His father's was also black, but with electric blue embroidery and patches of color on the sides. The gloves and boots were also blue. His father had a mask that covered his entire face, except for his eyes. Around the mouth was a speaker-looking contraption, no doubt to amplify his high-frequency shrieks. There were also bulges around the ears, most likely to protect his ears from his own ability. And the part of the mask that would go around the neck looked reinforced, to protect those special vocal chords.
Jay touched his own at the thought and gulped.
There was more yelling, and then talking, but Jay had already moved. He hid in the corner of the auditorium, barely behind a feminine suit of green. He called to mind an array of distracting noises he could use in the event he was found. His father's screech was one of those ideas, but he knew he couldn't completely replicate it. Nor did he really want to. He had seen footage once of an enemy practically exploding from a close encounter. He shivered at the thought.
It was a huge, vast space that Noelle had entered, feeling the darkness engulf her - but in a soothing, comforting way. One would have been unable to see scarcely ten paces before him, but Noelle surged confidently forward. Having accustomed to the shadows and such entities from an early age, it might have seemed she had developed some sort of mild form of night vision. Creepy, but interesting. And certainly useful as well - you never know what goes bump in the night.
But even then, Noelle found herself to be occasionally tripping over bulky wires twisting this way and that over one another, like giant snakes engaging in a match to the death. Large machines lay clustered in most parts, leaving her to navigate the room via the slick of silver embedded in the floor, no doubt the same type of metal used for the walkways everywhere in this giant-assed mountain, for want of a better word. She was in the generators of Mount Justice, of course. Any fool would know anyway. Well, now the question was: Should she even bother trying to power up the generators?
A second was all it took to decide against it. She saw no reason to do so, as it was apparent that the lights in the upper parts was working fine. At least, fine enough for Noelle. Besides, who knew what would happen if she started tampering with the machines. She was no technician, neither was she good with knowledge pertaining generators although she researched and read a lot - from fictional books to dissecting the dictionary. All the better to cram her victim's head with junk. Moreover, it definitely would not be good if automatons and all sorts of crazy robots on rampage mode started activating - and she would be in the firing line of wannabe Decepticons.
Perhaps it was pure luck, or a mere coincidence that her eyes had picked out a slim sheet of acrylic plastered to the wall right opposite her. It was one of those normally found in shopping malls, schools - anywhere, actually. It was a map, and she made her way towards it. Finally, some form of organization and a clear focus. Noelle didn't bother studying it. Instead, she took out her phone and made a snapshot of the map, knowing that it would come in handy. And it wasn't like there was GPS in here.
It took a few more minutes of wandering about in an attempt to find more useful information, before Noelle decided to head to the library - the only place that she had narrowed her vision at on the map, feeling its pull and a certain sense of curiosity. Besides, one does not simply find information of high caliber in the bedroom suit or a stinky gym. No doubt the only thing she'd find there would be thousand-year old sneakers. She exited via a door directly opposite the one that she had came from, before finding herself to be climbing up a good four flights of stairs. It was a tricky thing, having to maintain a certain level of stealth whilst trying to comprehend the map, now reduced to IPhone size. I should have ripped the bloody thing off the wall, she thought at one point in a moment of slight frustration. But of course, that wasn't possible. Even shadow manipulation had its own limits.

'hhmm this aint so bad just me and the flowers i womder how Golem is doing?' well to answer his question Golem was doing quite alright on his end. he hadnt moved from that spot since Terra left and he only will if he needs to carry out Terras orders of making sure no one gets past him. a couple birds perched upon his bulky body chirping their lovly tunes that Golem seemed to like.
Terra lay there a little longer until he spotted a small catear inching its way up a daisys stalk. turning on his side Terra watchex its progress silently cheering it on to reach its destination. looking back at the sky his eye lids began to droop i the way the sun would make you want to sleep when you looked at it.
laying on his back with the sun in his eyes 'this quite the life'. the daisys noticing his fatuige began to sing him a flowery lullaby which made him all the more drowsy. 'mmm i dont think Golem would mind if i just fall asleep here right i mean i do deserve it after all, right?'but Terra didnt have time for second thoughts for soon his eyes fluttered close and they stayed that way his breathing slowing down jntil it didnt even seem like he was sleeping but dead.
Stopping for a brief moment near a fork in her road, Annika hastily whipped her head left and right a good few times before deciding to head up the staircase that was located just beside her. Her next best bet would be some sort of armoury, wherever that may be. It kinda sucked, knowing that things were here, but not knowing their exact location. She may be intelligent, but maps didn't just appear in her mind with a mere snap of her fingers. As a first, she needed to see something that resembled a map first, then memorize and then she could find her way no problem.
Maybe it was a foolish mistake of her to take the stairs then? Not at all. Her mind was set on finding the mean area, something that sure wouldn't be in the basement area, except if you, perhaps, willed it from the land of dreams.
What worried Annika most, though, was the fact that there was no sign of anything living, not even in the large open room, that the girl assumed was the area she ahd been looking for. A given if the place was abandoned twenty or so years ago, but still, she hoped to find at least one rebel hero who hadn't shown defeat to the whole 'No more heroes' bananas.
This- This was an amazing sight to behold. Sweep away the mud and cobwebs and you'd have yourself a beautiful operation room. A circular room completely reinforced with sturdy metal, some areas decorated with lounge furniture; chairs, tables, couches, etc. What caught the techno- mouse's eyes, though, was the large contraption sticking out like a shiny gold coin that stood in the far end of the room. Blinking lights, massive flat-screen, important logo.
Had she been more emotionally oriented, Annika would've smiled, grinned even, at the sight of every computer-geeks dream. If there was one place where she'd be able to begin her quest, it was definitely that massive device.
With a decent pace, Annika approached the contraption, taking her time to observe and analyse what stood before her. It would be no small feat to get this bugger working, but for the sake of her parents, Annika had to try. And, go down the road far enough, and you find that all digital devices act the same way, just operated in a different manner is all.
Running a hand through her sand-blonde hair, Annika let out a soft, gentle sigh before seating herself in the large (And comfy!) chair, turning to the operation table and hovering over eah button with her left index-finger.
*Bleep*
The girl began pressing buttons in a rapid fashion, each making their own individual beep at a rather loud volume, but the girl paid no mind at the possibility of someone hearing it. She had already ruled out the option of anything alive, aside from critters, to be present. Her mind already ran down the long list of possible numeric codes in mere seconds...
A faint, electric-blue glow outlined Annika's hand and wrist, micro-sized sparks shooting alongside the outlined limb and travelling across the device, finding their way into the inner workings of the computer, trying to bypass whatever it was that kept Annika from entering manually and unlocking it for her.
After a good few seconds, the computer began making buzzing noises, the screen rapidly flickering before fading out from the League logo and revealing the main screen, a cyan/green-tined blue screen with various windows popping up, all perfectly aligned to each other. The girl smiled, knowing fully well that her powers had not abandoned her in the least. In fact, they had helped her greatly.
Annika opened her eyes, eyeing the window that was displaying a booting process. Jackpot!
Checking power...
Booting main systems...
Accessing Data...
Waking Mount Justic A.I.
An artificial Intelligence? That was- Unexpected. The corners of Annika's mouth managed to form a weak smile upon reading that this system had a build in A.I. It would certainly make accessing information that much easier. And- This was the perfect oppertunity to learn about this type of technology, much more interesting than reading about these A.I. In bo-
โRecovering most recent data...โ A generic male voice echoed through the room, immediately starting to load up information that was saved into its hard drive when it last was activated.
โJohn Smith, at your service! Who-โ The A.I. Began using all available cameras to take awareness of who had activated it, immediately spotting a sand-blonde haired girl who was staring at the main screen.
โHello? May I know who you are, ma'am? One of the heroes, I assume? Have they finally been allowed to return to their duties?โ The A.I. Asked in a curious tone, zooming in on the female as it awaiting her answer.
Annika raised an eyebrow at the question, finding it odd that something was to be asked. โThey haven't. World Government still hasn't revoked their original law, and it is doubtful they will.โ The girl paused, rubbing her eyelids as her mouth let out a long yawn. She still hadn't recovered from the jet lag that was hanging over her like a stormy cloud over a landscape.
The A.I. let out a series of panicky oh's, obviously distressed by his sudden awakening. (As much as artificial intelligences could panick.) โOh, no, no! Nonononono! This is horrible! I can not be activated unless the League has been allowed to return!โ Smith shrieked! Had he been a real person, he would've surely ran back and forth across the room, possibly muttering to himself like a crisis had sprung up from the ground.
Annika once again raised one eyebrow. She had no time for this nonsense! She needed to know what happened to her family, her parents. Where could they have gone? Surely this John Smith knew something!
โI did not activate you for that intent, I merely require any information regarding the disappearance of my mother, she was a member of the League who went missing two days ago.โ Annika bluntly asked in a monotone, almost computerized voice, as if the entire case of disappearing didn't faze her one bit.
โPlease, ma'am, I ca- Disappearance of a League member? Could it be that they have been abducted?โ
โPossible.โ Annika answered. Gently tapping the metal casing before her as she awaited the A.I.s response to her question.
โI do not have any recent data, the latest file I can recover is from when the League shut me down and abandoned Mount Justice.โ Smith exclaimed.
Perhaps it was too much to hope for. Annika lowered her eyes, turning them away from the screen as she uttered a soft, hopeless sigh. That was it, then? She had nothing else to turn to.
It took Noelle a great deal of effort just to refrain from burning down Mount Justice on a whim.
How was she supposed to know that the library was locked and inaccessible? After climbing up four flights of stairs, getting lost in a miniature maze of corridors in the size XXXXL mountain, accidentally stumbling into the gym. . . Not cool. Noelle wasn't one to complain, and she hadn't planned on starting now. But it was not to be forgotten that her parents' lives hung on a thread (she preferred to think it that way, since it gave her a sense of urgency), or rather, the thick metal double-doors of the library.
Putting that aside, the library was largely impressive - literally. A good section of the mountain had been dedicated to storing all sorts of information Noelle could not wait to get her hands on. And not just any information, but data that could possibly grant her an excessive amount of knowledge, to the point that it would probably be too much for her own good. Knowledge was a fragile but powerful thing, and that was not to be debated.
The library was, all in all, a massive room filled with enormous bookshelves that were lined systematically behind an equally gigantic piece of glass. One could easily see what was held in there, but to get in? Speak to the doors. And this was what happened earlier:
Noelle had reached the library (finally) only to be halted by the same mechanical voice that had confronted her at the entrance.
"Code please."
The girl frowned, analyzing the door for any signs of an appearing number-pad. Apparently, there was none.
"Code please," the system prompted her again.
"Uh," Noelle started hesitantly. "Five-three-six-eight-eight?" There was a pause.
"Code rejected," the mechanical voice bleeped after a while. "System error. Unable to function. Try again."
"Okay..." Noelle was unsure how to proceed. "Eight-eight-six-three-five?" she randomly threw in the numbers.
"System error."
"Zeon shard?"
"System error."
"Potatoes?"
"System error."
"I'll 'system error' you, you dumb piece of shit," Noelle growled.
"System error," the voice only repeated.
A few minutes later, however, Noelle realized her stupidity. Of course a library as huge as this needed power, and a power which can only be obtained by switching on the generators... She could have face-palmed herself right there and then.
Apparently, It seemed that returning to the generator room was inevitable.
And to the generators she went.
That is, until the AI revealed that it couldn't do anything.
Jay slumped a bit. Was it over, then? The girl looked like she had given up. Not budging from his hiding spot--Jay was really glad he had the sense to wear mainly dark clothes--he thought furiously on what to do. For a moment he wondered if the computer was genuinely excited for the return of the original league, or if it just required the actual league to reactivate it. Considering it was just a computer, with probably little emotional range, Jay opted for the latter. But even if he could replay the voice, would he need the appearance as well? Maybe he could stay hidden and just throw his voice, but then the AI would just try to find him. The girl definitely, and the auditorium was only so big. Oh, if only he had his mother's ability! He could just shift into her and....
Wait a minute....
After figuring out what he was going to say, Jay stood up and walked over to the super-computer. He had seen his mother walk enough times to have it down. She always walked with purpose. Head held high and all that. "Excuse me," he said as he passed by the girl, his mother's voice coming out his mouth. He turned to the computer. "This is Michelle Park....I used to be the Chameleon...As you can see, I'm....my son...for protection...Will you cooperate now?"
Internally Jay flinched. That all sounded so much better in his head, but saying them aloud, he could hear the tone shifts between each phrase that he had stitched together. He hoped the computer wouldn't pick up on it, or at least wouldn't be suspicious. He suddenly felt very exposed. Even if the computer did find him out, what was the worst that could happen? Images of iRobot and Terminator popped up, and he really wished he had done enough to trick the AI.
he was running and running really fast. why am I running is that me watching me. . . I don't understand is this a dream. . .
the boy looked over his shoulder and pure terror was etched onto his face.
he continued running until finally he reached a frozen lake. he scrambled over the ice slipping when a monstrous shadow fell over him. the boy let out a bloodcurdling scream giving Terra goose bumps.
the boy quickly got up and started to run again, but kept loosing his footing "RUN! RUN! KID JUST RUN DONT LOOK BACK!" Terra screamed out but no sound came out.
the boy slipped once more but this time he stayed down on his hands and knees just staring at the ice below his feet. and Terra realized why with a loud crack the ice broke under the boys weight and he feel into the freezing water.
Terra began to hyperventilate and soon he was shivering. he realized he was no longer watching the boy he was the boy. 'I'm drowning OH GOD IM DROWNING!" Terra tried to scream but it only earned him a mouthful of water. he started to make his way to the surface but he couldn't find an exit anywhere.
NO where is it where's the air hole there has to be one. Terra began to panic again when he saw that very same shadow fall over him.
what is that? what ever it was it was huge and formed weirdly. Terra watched as it feet shifted on the ice as it creaked. suddenly the ice smashed open and a large fist burst through the ice lunging at him.
that's when Terra saw its face or what remained of its face. it was deformed it seemed to be made up of earthen materials. and it roared at him. the thing had facial features that looked similar, there looked to be a line staring from the bottom of what Terra assumed was the left side of its jaw over it nose. that scar. . . .
as the realization hit him he gasped and breathed in more water and he began to choke. he started to sink deeper into the unknown depths of the lake and watched as the thing before him smiled at him insanely with a spark of blood lust and it roared once more.
everything faded to black and in flashes he saw the thing he would become. it started with the death of a loved one, his mother? no he would never hurt her but then he saw her in his arms dead and he cried out in pain. and the earth responded to his call. to kill who ever did this but the earth realized he was the cause of his own sorrow and Terra could feel himself change.
fist it was his feet then legs and little by little the earth began to consume him covering him in a blackness he could not get past. soon he was encased in its blackness. then that blackness erupted and out came that thing from earlier. and Terra knew his guess was right that thing was him.
Terra had finally lost himself to the sway of the earth. he began to terrorize cities first staring with the town he lived in, in Spain. he killed them all. the government hearing about him attacked him but nothing they used worked not even their greatest weapon; the nuclear bomb. even that didn't stop his rampage for as long as there was earth for him to use he will continue to come back and each time he lost more and more of his humanity until finally there was nothing left.
everything went back to black and he couldn't breathe something was nudging him at the back of his mind he didn't know what until he heard the familiar whispers of the plants around him and the cry of Golem fighting an intruder.
quickly getting up but fell back down when he realized the plants had encased him with their roots 'no wonder I couldn't see or breathe' whispering to them to let him go the roots slowly drew back and one kissed his cheek and it smelled like his mother. the scent calmed him down a little and he ran towards where Golem was dealing with the intruder, pushing his nightmare to the farthest corners of his mind.

*ahem*
Like I said, I'm here, waiting. Although, from the looks of things (And the smell of weeks absence of life.) we aren't going anywhere. Really, I would post, but ehm... Kind of lazy? Also, waiting for our GM to post first?
I'll just, keep waiting. Hope life will spring back up, no? (:I)

Malachite hasn't been posting for quite awhile, and it is affecting the progression of the RP since Stryk isnt able to proceed...
Anyway, let's just assume Luke and Neve are in a small room that branches off slightly from the audi.
So that leaves Jay and Annika at the audi, and after cirrus's post, they have made contact.
Noelle is otw back to the generators.
Terra is still sleeping outside.
I think that covers it.
