Description

(Adds leaders as more characters join.)

Image
Delectio Pack: Elegans
Elegans is a simple, furry green wolf with a long, draping tail. She loves to run and have fun but is often on her own to help wolves. When a Delectio Pack wolf is born they get to chose their coloring, Elegans chose simple earth coloring so she would blend in with the foliage and not be seen when giving wolves choices. She's very relaxed and confident in herself and rules with an iron paw but is actually very loving and understanding to her wolves.

Image
Ignis Pack: Regulus
Regulus is one of the more scary wolves, he has long black fur mixed with shades of red. He has two long canines sticking out, blackened slightly with volcanic ash, or the fire of his own temper. His eyes are like shards of ice, a Gelu wolf once even accused him of making them from Glacium ice. Regulus is very prideful and thinks highly of his pack, he has a temper and is eager to start battles because of the faith in his warriors. Though he orders them around, strictly it seems, he understands them and doesn't jump to conclusions when they disobey or make a mistake, he will listen to ALL sides of the story.

Image
Gelu Pack: Canticum (Can't-ee-coom)
Canticum is a good, spirited leader who was chosen very recently by their past leader, Stiria. She claimed she wasn't ready and some might agree with her. Canticum is very childish, wild, yet strong and fights for what she believes in. Rule-breaking is her specialty and the one she broke most often was the speaking when in Stiria's company. Stiria claimed this is the reason she chose the inexperienced wolf because of her hidden wisdom and willingness to do the right thing. Often though, Canticum has seeked advice from Aevitas Pack and is even familiar with the wolves who have helped her lead. Her favorite thing is the alliance between Campe Pack in which they can live safely with at hard times. Canticum is a white wolf with blue marks around her body. She has one blue eye on the white side of her face and on the other side there is a black dot around her green eye. Her favorite treat (Her invention, pups love her) is the Popsicle.

Image
Aevitas Pack: Rector
Rector is a wise leader who lets the arguments carry on until it ruins the other wolves before he steps in. His strategy for survival is let the others kill themselves off, however he will help because Rector doesn't like death and will often speed up a wolf's death if it is meant to die or slow it down if it needs to live. Rector is the only known wolf to speed or slow down the beating of a heart to make one nervous or calm. This wolf is very lean with not much muscle (Fur and bones :). His snout is lean and his ears tall making him look somewhat like a jackal in complexion. Rector's fur is a dirty, muddy shades of brown.

Image
Campe Pack: Caput (Ka-put)
Caput fights with words and really doesn't like war, though not afraid to fight. He vowed to serve until his last breath; meaning he would never retire. As being before leadership he was an arrogant yet gentle and smart wolf who was found either organizing strategies or taking care of the pack. Caput's wings are like a hawk's, a dusky brown making him look like a usual wolf.

Image
Lux Pack: Praesul (Pray-e-sool)
Praesul is a strong-hearted leader who is very protective of her pack. She hates to trust anybody outside unless they've saved the life of one of her pack-mates. She's very wise and old enough to retire to an elder. Her body is bulked with muscle and she has powerful wings; not good for doing loops and tricks but allows her to fly great distances. Praesul's fur is a dirty white with bright yellow highlighting her wings and body. Her paws are huge making her a great climber.

The stars shone brightly down in the spaces of the leafy branches as a wolf of such oddity left the glowing trees. It retreated to a dark cobblestone path in which old buildings blocked the moonlight. He was light on his clawed feet and looked straight ahead as if he had a destination. From above you could not see him for his countershading fur. His back was smoky black and below he was brown like dirt, however, his sides were white and the black collided in stripes going down to his belly. Smoke trailed in decorative coils off his legs and feet, somewhat like spikes for their solid color. Clearly if he wanted for you to find him from above, he’d look up and show his off-color eyes. Perhaps from the side he wanted to appear like a fierce tiger, capable of killing another wolf in one blow; wolves stay away from tigers. Maybe the coloring was just a symbol of his pack.
A light drizzle gripped the land as the wolf walked on, taking almost no notice until the light sprinkle turned into a savage downpour. His fur was dripping and ears were down as he trudged on. The streets began to get slippery and the wolf started to trip, yet kept going anyway. Eventually his tripping gait led him out of the enclosed path and into a barren field where shadowy silhouettes sat around a soft, blue fire.
“Caput, Rector, Praesul,” he dipped his head in respect as he sat around the other wolves.
“Ah, Imago, how are you?” a she-wolf dirty white fur and bright yellow highlighting her body spoke. She had large, powerful wings and looked like a strength wonder and struck fear into most hearts that dared meet her stony eyes. Imago gave her a wolfish smile and dipped his head once again to her.
“I am good, but troubled…disastrous times are coming...How are you, Praesul?” he asked the she-wolf after braving his admittance of the upcoming times.
“Lux Pack has been better, but we can and will defend our homes.” Praesul snapped, directing her tone mainly at the other two bystanders.
“Well then!” the other winged wolf huffed. “No other wolves could find our territory useful, yet alone reach It.” He said calmly as if just making a true statement, not bragging. His wings and fur were like a hawk's; a dusky brown making him look like a usual wolf.
“Caput, we can see that, well, If you ever moved the clouds.” The last wolf chuckled with amusement. He was very lean with not much muscle, his snout was straight and his ears tall making him look somewhat like a jackal in complexion. His fur was the color of the old cobblestone path Imago had walked so long on; a dirty, muddy shade of brown.
“So how are you faring?” He asked Caput. Imago just watched silently along with the other as Praesul and Caput bickered until he decided to speak up.
“AHEM. How are you faring?” Imago repeated the other wolf’s words.
“Fine.” Praesul and Caput said, returning to attention.
“We are very fine, Rector.” Praesul barked.
“Everybody is always so 'Fine'
But we are not.
Sometimes, we are hurt and bruised and nearly completely shattered.
And this, sir, is not what one calls fine.” (I got this quote from yogitheambrangyl’s signature; Author Unknown) Rector said in a smooth voice.
“"I recommend you to take care of the minutes, for hours will take care of themselves" Rector stood up and snapped at them. Both Caput and Praesul sat down and turned their attention to Imago and Rector.
“My friend, you speak the wisdom of the stars.” Imago bowed his head to the wise leader and then began his speech.
“I will give to you
My cunnings, My hearing
My eyes which to see
That they may lead you
As they have led me.
I give to you my strength
In your heart my voice
Hear me, I will help you
Make the right choice.
So that you don't tire while you
Find much food for your pack to eat
I give to you my stamina
My legs and my feet.
Should dangers linger in the air
Brave warrior you will always tell
For next I give to you
My keen sense of smell.
For your love of your pack
And the land that we are a part
It is as abiding as mine
So I give to you my heart.
Brave warrior accept me
And all that I give
For forever together
You and I will live.
Awake now brave warrior
And look to the ground
For there will be proof
Of what you've just found.”
(~ Author Shelly Lapierre) Imago closed his eyes as three lights came out of his chest and into the other leader’s. Next his whole body glowed and he transferred it to Rector, Praesul, and Caput.
“When you find the wolves you trust, repeat these words. You won’t forget them.” Imago then stood up and vanished into fog, leaving the confused others to awake and leave this dream.
“I know which wolf it is.” All three of the leaders said at the same time.
“We’ll pass the message to the other packs.” Praesul said. The others nodded their heads and began to leave the clearing when Caput stopped Rector.
“I wish to seek council with one of your wolves.” Caput asked. Rector dipped his head in respect and farewell, signaling that he would send a wolf the next day. So all the wolves left leaving the field empty and the fire to extinguish itself.

"Marous, are you up for a patrol?" Canticum called over to the wolf wedged in the snow. She paced back and forth nervously because this was her first full moon leading Gelu Pack and Caedis was on the move. The stars had told her to stay at camp so she wouldn't be hurt but Canticum felt uneasy. Shouldn't she be risking her life along with her pack? Too bad they didn't have any armor like...wait, that's an idea for her. Canticum called the wolves that were getting ready to patrol over too her and told them her idea. "You must be completely dry and then get the parts where the armor will be soaked with water. Place some metal over those areas and then freeze it." Canticum said.

The hot air swirled the lounging ashes off the rocks and into a small storm as it settled over Ignis camp. These events might’ve worried other packs but Regulus was proud of how he never had to feel warned about volcanic activity, it was something of a specialty to his wolves. In his mind, the only possible threat was Caedis pack… Regulus cursed under his breath as he paced around his den. The traitors already took out a big chunk of his best fighters once, leaving only one to survive. Pure hatred bubbled in him as he thought of the scene, and why he had not been there. Sometimes a part of him wondered if it was really Caedis pack that killed his wolves, a part of him thought it could’ve been the traitor pack. If it weren’t for the traitor pack then Regulus would declare war on Caedis Pack, his confidence held high in his warriors.

Regulus shot up from his slumber at the sound of the howl and two wolves rushed in. "Regulus, we located the survivor, it's Aylen!" the wolf barked. Regulus bolted out of his den and out to the ledge where he called Ignis Pack. "All wolves who can withstand the fire element gather under the Ledge for a clan meeting!" He howled. Wolves quickly clustered beneath their leader to wait anxiously for the news of their comrades with their eager eyes and ears. "We have found that there is one survivor, Aylen, and we are going to retrieve her at this moment. Have a our fastest wolf ready to run to Nex Pack." Regulus bowed his head. There were several wails of newly widowed wolves. Regulus took pity on them, in the old traditions of wolves they were mated once for life and some wolves followed that old rule. His finest sentinels...dead. "Lead us there, Medicus." Regulus and an abiding fiery, orange wolf; Medicus, set off in a run across their territory to reach Aylen.

The two wolves watched silently from the trees at Aylen, a low growl in Regulus's throat from the emerging Aevitas wolf. "She appears to have...forgotten some things." Medicus whispers. Regulus cuts off his growl once he realizes who the other wolf is. It's Sorvon and although he has helped them in the past, Regulus was not okay with him for trespassing. As not to upset the scene Regulus crouched low to the ground with Medicus, ready to spring and intervene should anything happen.

Sorvon perked his ears, hearing something from far, knowing it were the leaders. He looked back at Aylen and watched her as she backed up, and backed up some more. The fire dimmed as he watched and she then fell down, and her eyes closed. ''Come on out, I kno you are there, he told the leaders as he bent down to check on Aylen with a bit of worry. He sighed softly and sat down, looking around for something that could tell him what happened.

Regulus stepped out from behind the rock and approached Sorvon. "You have helped me in the past, but tell me, what are you doing in Ignis territory?" he asked, refusing to dip his head in polite greeting. "Actually, explain later, I must know what is going on with Aylen." Regulus studied the other wolf with his ice-blue eyes to see if she remembered him at all, careful not to show any signs of hostility; well, maybe his teeth seemed hostile but he was born like that. Medicus followed beside Regulus, amber eyes shifting from Sorvon to Aylen to Regulus. Who should she look at?
Regulus refused to be submissive, injured or not every wolf needed to know he was leader, however he didn't advance or set his ground any more than that. He wasn't sure if Aylen really was asleep.

Aylen was pretending to be asleep, and it was really hard to keep the act up when she heard two more wolves approach. Instinctively she wanted to get back on her paws and fight, but she fought to keep herself from doing that. She heard the wolves talk and then, Sorvon came near. Bingo. Aylen opened her eyes, and twisted around and bit down on Sorvon's side and was able to drag him down, while getting to her feet. She tightened her jaws and growled as she shook the wolf while watching Regulus and Medicus. Were they friend or foe?

Regulus stood silently watching Aylen and didn't even flinch when the she-wolf lurched up and attacked Sorvon. He watched calmly and met Aylen's gaze when she studied him and Medicus.
"Are you going to help him?" Medicus asked in a surprise tone.
"He is a trespasser..."Regulus says. Medicus glares at him with her large, amber eyes and then focuses back Aylen. "Do you remember us? I'm Medicus, the healer." She takes a tentative step forward with her head low when Regulus pushed her pack gently. "I'm Regulus, your pack leader. I am your friend, but I will not force you to do anything, nor will I hurt you." He raised his head high in superiority, but showed no hostility and did not advance forward.

Sorvon gasped when she dragged him down but didn't try to escape from her, or try to get lose as he fixed his gaze on Regulus and Medicus. He was used to quite some pain, and always learned to stay calm, no matter what happened. Always stay calm. So he just lay there, breathing in, breathing out slowly.

Aylen would be lying if she said she wasn't afraid. Right now, she was afraid and working very hard to keep it contained. Medicus, a wolf healer. Regulus, an Alpha, but of whom? She growled and stayed her ground when Regulus stepped forward. She didn't know what to do, so what else could she do besides be afraid. The small fire on the ground to her right grew, crackled and popped as it seemed to roll in on itself. Without warning the flames roared upward, and in the shape of a wolf sized dragon it roared and flew toward Regulus.

Aylen was so suprised by this that she let go of Sorvon.

Sorvon slowly rolled onto his tummy and fixed his gaze at the wolf sized dragon fire. He realised it was heading towards Regulus and got up, bitting his tongue to forget the pain. He ran towards Regulus and stood before him as the fire seemed to come right at him. But whatever, or how badly he would get hurt, he would protect any alpha with his life, and so he took the flames, biting harder onto his tongue as he fell down and his eyes closed.

"Well that wasn't the smartest thing...oh well, valor is valor." Medicus made the flames go out before they seriously burned Sorvon. "You do know that Ignis pack can withstand any temperature and even the best can create fire. Perhaps I could teach you, just calm down." Regulus didn't rip his gaze from Aylen, he knew now that she was a danger, a danger that simply did not know better. Medicus tended to Sorvon and actually seemed scared, though Regulus knew she would never admit it for all the territory in Initum. "We can explain everything to you if you come back to camp, no one will hurt you there. And erm...I guess we have to take Sorvon..." he threw a glance at the Aevitas wolf and then focused back on Aylen. "Well?"

Aylen stared at Sorvon for a moment before looking at Regulus. She nodded, not trusting herself to say anything at all. She lowered her head as she stared at Sorvon. Did I do this? She thought as she watched the poor wolf bite his tongue. The flames died down, and turned to ash as Aylen watched Medicus looked to Sorvon.

Marous

He dipped his head low in affirmative as Canticum came asking if he was ready for patrol. He would always be ready; he would do what the Alpha asked, though he wondered sometimes why he was picked to succeed the previous. She seemed aloof half the time, though she was very talkative and no one but alpha ever talked. He turned his head to her as she mentioned how to put on the armor, getting just the area that needed the metal, wet then freeze it so the metal held onto them. He glanced at the others and nodded, tail swishing to the side. Go on, let’s do it. He and the others went over to the scrap pile, as they helped each other put on the armor.

Regulus
Regulus sighed in relief when Aylen agreed to come and then turned to look at Sorvon. "You're going to have to come to Ignis camp. Medicus can treat your burns there, then I'm sending a wolf to Rector." He looked to Medicus who had worry shining in her amber eyes. "I'm not so good with burns...we don't usually get them..." Regulus groaned and went to help her. "Can you stand?" He asked Sorvon, very aware he turned his back on Aylen.

Canticum
She watched as her pack mates suited up in their armor and felt utterly useless. Why did the omen tell her to stay? "Good....luck?" Canticum said as the patrol began to leave. Before they left she stopped Marous. "Tell me what happens?" She begged. Gelu wolves were experts in communication, they also had a language in music.

Sorvon opened his eyes slowly and looked at Aylen, never speaking a word. He had been through quite some pain but this has proven to be worse then anything he ever expierenced. He slowly stood up, looked at the side of his which was basily torn open. That would give a few scars, and then he looked at the burning wounds, his blue eyes rather dull and lifeless. He nodded silently, agreeing to come with them.

The four wolves walked in a line down the path, Medicus doing her best to keep the ash and lava away from Sorvon. In her mind, he was an idiot; but wasn't that what valor was? Plunging in head-first for those you honor and love, not thinking about what will happen to you? Sorvon should have known Regulus could protect himself; after all he was a fire alpha. It was overwhelming and Medicus wanted some answers, and to figure out where to keep Sorvon. Even if Ignis camp was a danger to this wolf's health she knew Regulus wouldn't let him go. He was a friend, but a trespasser nonetheless. "So where are we going to put him?" She called out to Regulus. "Near Mount Examinis, it's a dead volcano and usually used for guest; in other words, we don't use it often."

Sorvon walked along, staying silent, looking right forward, taking it slow. His breathing was heavy and he seemed to be able to collapse any time now, but he kept going, he had to keep going, no matter what. He was strong, and would be able to hold himself up for a little while, until he could rest. But it showed to be quite difficult and the normal quite lively him was now a rather lifeless wolf. His eyes were dull, and whatever he did, the pain was always there. It was not to bare, but he did.

Regulus
"Aw, hello Regulus, how are you? Um...where is the rest of Regiment 3?" A brown wolf that looked exactly like the volcanic rock asked curiously. Regulus couldn't bear to break the news to him and his sister, their brother was in Regiment 3. They must have been out on patrol while the announcement was made. "You didn't here? Caedis Pack attacked them..." Medicus answered sadly. "What? Oh, where are the others, is Cinis okay?" Regulus and Medicus both cast a sad look at each other before turning back to the wolf. "We'll brief everyone on the situation in a moment." They walked past the wolf guarding the entrance and through the large camp. As they walked there were whispers and pointing at Sorvon, all wondering why he was here; their leader only consulted an Aevitas wolf in times of disastrous need. Ash swirled around with the burning wind ruffling their fur and Regulus hopped Sorvon had enough common sense to not breathe in a lot of the air and to keep his head low. "Aylen! You're alright! I thought you were dead!" a grey wolf with what looked like black ash dotting her fur padded up eagerly to them. "Could you come back later, Silex?"

Elegans
A she-wolf moved silently through the trees, not making a sound. She had fur the color of the leaves above her in the Hilarous Forest. She was the leader of Electio Pack, the pack of choice, and was giving a choice to the leader of Vita Pack. She rather enjoyed giving them choices because they were fun and trusted her word. Yes, fun.
