Introduction

(This is another attempt for an older roleplay!)
The Story:
The setting is in the Medieval Ages, a time period when God and the humans agreed to hide and never record. It's name? The Dark Ages. Christianity ruled the whole land, but the Church never always ruled during that time period. The Devil was getting desperate in his fight against God. Demons were losing to angels, The possessed were excorised everywhere, more and more people sided with the Church against the Devil.

Then, the Devil had gotten an idea. He raised those who are dead, and gave them more power than they ever should have. Those people were able to manipulate their age, elements, and were unable to be killed by natural means. Normal weapons wouldn't work. God nearly gave up as the risen dead wreaked havoc upon humanity. In desperation, God raised any who died by the Devil-blessed men and women. Those people had the same abilities, and they vowed to protect humanity. They managed to subdue all the Devil's Immortali... For a while at least.

This is how the Immortali race started. And now they had become the norm. They were seen everyday. Humans feared them, cursed at them, spat at them. Rumors started that they were rejected by God and Satan at death, that their abilities were compensation for their rejection of judgement day.

The Devil had broken the peace that the Immortali of God strived for. A Master Immortalis of the Devil- an elite Immortalis who had lived long and become extremely powerful- had risen up to take the throne. The land was unified under his fist. The people were tortured and killed without reason. Any Immortalis of God had failed to overthrow the king... Until three had come up and raised an army. They manage to overthrow the king, but not without a curse.

The humans misunderstood the reasons why the Immortali of God took the thone. They rebelled and looked for ways to kill Immortali. They eventually did, by forging weapons with the ashes of Immortali. God and the Devil quickly used this method as well to make angels and demons able to kill Immortali. A bloody Civil War erupted. Humans vs all the Immortali that existed. Eventually, the ruler stepped down and let the humans win. The war ended with so many death tolls on both sides. The Immortali of God held back, since they were supposed to protect humans. This was the price. Two of the three Immortali who had killed the tyrant were killed themselves. The last went into hiding like the rest of his race.

And thus, Immortali had hid under the humans' noses. Changing appearance, living in the woods, anything to get away. But now, a new ruler had come. This was yet another Master Immortalis of the Devil. He became a tyrant, and history repeats itself again.

God's Immortali
The Medieval World of Europe is under the rule of another tyrant, one that works for the Devil. He raids villages, kills innocent civilians, and his treasury is stained with blood money. Now he had sent his knights on you... Bad mistake.

You wake up in a dark room, your whole body aching. You try to remember what happened, and you remember something. you were dead. However, you feel as if your tale is not over, and death is just a transition. Somehow, you were right.

Three doors appear in front of you. One is blood red and in flames, eminating pain, despair, fear, anger, and sadness. Another was pure snow white. It had an aura of kindness, joy, and love. These doors lead to heaven and hell, but they are both closed. The third door only showed your body in the area you died. This is the way back to life. However, as you try to go to earth, an orb appears.

It was like a little animal. It circled you, examining you like it was curious of you. Suddenly, it flies into your chest and disappears before you could move. You feel more powerful, and you run into the door to earth.

You wake up in your own body, still feeling more powerful. You decide to try it out. You find out you can manipulate a certain element (or certain elements), change your physical age, and sense the powers of others like you. But, in your moment of happyness, you knew that you couldn't be found out, since you were already dead. So, you run as fast as you, eventually reaching a strange isolated place filled with an aura of power similar to yours. Even though you were hesitant, you walk in.

Your job now is to help the mysterious man and gain more power. You will help him get rid of all the Devil's Immortali, and finish this Dark Age once and for all!

Devil's Immortali
You were chosen by the Devil to keep his champion's reign. You must follow his commands and follow them to heart. If you should fail him, there will be no forgiveness, but why shouldn't ou. You enjoy what it took to be a knight. Raiding, killing, looting, all that kind of stuff. Just travel abroad and kill any villager you wish. Strike fear into peasants' hearts. Steal from them in in front their faces. Burn them all. It doesn't matter. You are in control (partially at least), you can do whatever the hell you want, as long as the king allows it.

However, there is a threat. From the woods, you can almost feel a faint, yet strong presence coming from deep within the forest. You must get your army ready. It might be the fight of your life. After all, this is what happened to the last Devil's Master Immortalis.

About Immortali:
Immortali are grouped into two sides: God and Devil.

God's Immortali want to protect humanity, no matter what the cost. The Devil's Immortali want to kill humans and cause chaos. They also want anarchy, but ruling with an iron fist helps too. As God's Immortali, you meet with Asher and help him on quests to kill Devil's Immortali. You train, you fight, you learn, you survive alongside Asher. He won't let anything happen to his allies, let alone his friends.

As a Devil's Immortalis, your job is to keep the humans crying and keep them scared of you and the tyrant. You love to kill, and that's what you will do. You serve under the king. You take his orders and follow them carefully.

Whatever side you choose, you still have the same powers: age manipulation, elemental manipulation, and sensing auras that are anything but normal. You also have a weapon of choice, and maybe a sub weapon. You cannot be killed by anything, not even by Time or Nature. The only thing that can kill you are angels, demons, other Immortali, Immotrali's ashes (they must be imbued into weapons; Immortali's weapons already have that effect), Satan, and God Himself.

Elements to control:
Light
Darkness
Wind
Lightning
Earth
Ice
Fire
Water

Each element has its own aspects (i.e. Wind=Speed, Earth=Strength, Darkness=Illusions). Your powers must come from how you view and understand the elements. God's Immortali can obtain the element of light, and obtaining that element won't count towards the element count. Same with Devil's Immortail and darkness.

Opposites:
If you obtain power over darkness, a darkside will manifest within God's Immortali. They will be the opposite of your character, and it will most of the time (sometimes both of you can agree on one thing) side against you. This will also happen to Devil's Immortali when they obtain power over light. The only countermeasure is obtaining your side's element (see the paragraph above). This will make your character have a Yin and a Yang. Your dark/light sides will be either kept in check and only break out if you keep using darkness/light powers repeatedly when you are fatigued. It would be either that, or the opposite will obtain it's own body.

Immortali are grouped into three ranks:
Immortalis: A soul who just got back from the dead. They can master only one element, but can control a second.
Elder Immortalis: A soul who mastered the elements he/she had obtained and has control over a third.
Master Immortalis: A soul who have mastered all three of the elements that they obtained (not counting darkness and light for their respective sides). They have the most experience and wisdom.

All Immortali are injured by: Immortali, Immortali weapons, human weapons that are crafted with the ashed of an Immortali, elements that are manipulated by Immortali. Immortali are immune to: Normal human weapons, humans, diseases, elements of nature not manipulated by Immortali, and being too old to live. It takes several fatal blows to actually kill an Immortalis, so it isn't always a decisive battle.

When, or if, you die, your body slowly starts to turn into shades of black. After that, your body becomes fragile, and it cumbles into ashes that would be blown into he wind. It is unknown where you will go when you die, in heaven, hell, or an eternal purgatory. Maybe there is a seperate one for Immortali, maybe there isn't. Give us a postcard from wherever you are when you get there after you die!

Those ashes can be collected by anyone. They can be forged with weapons to enable you to kill Immortali (just sprinkle some dust into the weapon while it's still being made). If you are a mage, you need to have a LOT of holy water and bathe yourself in it. for angels and demons, their weapons are already blessed by God and the Devil.

"Okay," Aella answered. "I'll come with you. Where do we head first?"

"Well, we need to check on that fight. Because, one, I left my darkside over there, And I suspect that he would be flirting with my self-proclaimed guardian angel, if they already won. Either that, or they are still fighting." Asher responded, looking at the direction of the battle. "This is getting way too hectic, because there are more and more enemies coming into this fight. If we stay here too long, we might have to kill the tyrant. I'm getting everyone to retreat." Asher said after a few minutes, thinking the situation over. What he could do is that he can let the two Devil's Immortali duke it out, and have Dark Asher make the two enemies concentrate on the fight even more. Then, Asher could get everybody to retreat and get back into the HQ, hiding everyone's presence with his illusions.

Asher turned around fully and made a white flame to illuminate their surroundings. He started walking back into the fight. "I suggest you keep hidden Aella. We might have to fight again if they see us.

(I am so sorry for vanishing >< on the bright side my sister's wedding went off without too many hitches~)

Vega knew better than to foolishly blunder into a full on fight between more powerful Immortalis. She skirted around the sounds of battle and circles around to where she sensed others. Both were on her side, they felt lighter, more positive than Alex had felt when she had thought about his sensation. She misjudged her next jump, her legs quite fatigued and she reached out, just grasping a tree branch. Her arms felt a little heavy as she dangled there for a moment. She looked down and saw a white flicker, hearing muted talking. She frowned at the distance between her and the ground, but she thought it would be the fastest way down.

She let go of the tree branch and yelped softly as she had to roll upon landing to lessen the impact, coming to a rest on her back.
"Urgh...I come in peace...well..pieces technically...I assume you're on God's side?" She said gently, sitting up with her scarlet hair in a bit of a mess and her clothing all dusty. "If you are, I am too...I thought it better to team up now, wandering alone has become...a little hazardous you see."

Asher heard a yelp and saw a girl fall from a branch and roll on the ground, landing on her back. Asher instinctively moves his hands and nearly sends two icicles on the newcomer's way when she said "Urgh...I come in peace...well..pieces technically...I assume you're on God's side?" Asher scratched his head at how awkward this situation had become. "Uh....."

"If you are, I am too...I thought it better to team up now, wandering alone has become...a little hazardous you see." She added.

"I know that... It's just that I'm trying to recruit new people to join the fight against the tyrant... Only to run into some trouble, since now people are fighting and the situation is spiraling out of control, fast..." Asher said, moving his hand so the command for icicles to form would be cancelled. He made the flame a little brighter to see what the newcomer looked like. She was short, armber eyes, and red hair. Her skin was pale, but it didn't really matter. This woman could attract a lot of attention in public, and in a somewhat good way (that would depend on your perspective on whether or not you wanted to attract those of the opposite sex). "Well... Um.. You want to join me in getting my allies out of the fight, miss... Oh right, I didn't get your name. What is it? My name is Asher." Asher held out his hand to offer a handshake.

Aella nodded, thankful she would not be forced to fight again. She wasn't ready for it yet. In fact, she'd likely end up killing herself than doing any good for her newfound allies. But before she could move away, there came a noise like the rustling of a tree and then the sound of impact from a human body meeting the ground. Aella whipped around, afriad the battle really had folllowed her, but instead was greeted by the sight of a slightly disheveled looking young woman. The unknown lady groaned softly, rubbing her head of deep red hair, before looking at her and Asher.

"I come in peace...well..pieces technically...I assume you're on God's side?" The young woman asked, sitting up, "If you are, I am too...I thought it better to team up now, wandering alone has become...a little hazardous you see."

Aella couldn't help but agree with this strange newcomer who had openly stated she was another of God's Immortali.

"Yes, we are 'on God's side', as you put it..." Aella said slowly, not entirely sure what to think but trying to be cautiously friendly. "I am Aella, and this is Asher. And, if you don't mind my asking, who are you?"

She watched as the new man moved his hands rapidly and she felt the chill in the air. So he had ice too...Vega tilted her head to the side as he spoke and a wry smile tilted her lips upwards.
"I know that... It's just that I'm trying to recruit new people to join the fight against the tyrant... Only to run into some trouble, since now people are fighting and the situation is spiraling out of control, fast..." He then made other movements and it appeared that he had cancelled his ice for the moment.
"I heard, I had a slight stand off with a Devil's Immortalis on the way." She said, her fear slightly lessened because this man was on the same side as her, but the crux of it remained.

He made a flame, which grew brighter and Vega's eyes darkened a little as her fear of men spiked a little for a moment before settling back down. She knew she had been pretty enough before her death but she was unsure if her icy death had affected that, and then her resurection. She knew she had scars on her temples and she knew what they looked like because she'd watched herself die right before she had to decide which path to take. However, she did not know if she had changed overly much, and she didn't want to find out any time soon...she still wasn't ready to see how she looked after coming back to life.
"Well... Um.. You want to join me in getting my allies out of the fight, miss... Oh right, I didn't get your name. What is it? My name is Asher." He held out his hand and she leaned back a little as if she thought his hand was going to burn her. However, not wanting to appear rude, she got up and shook his hand, her own trembling a little as she did so.

"I can always try, what do you need me to do? My name is Vega, though my nickname of sorts...is Pax." She said before releasing his hand after a few shakes and turning her attention to the other woman. Vega's orange-amber eyes shimmered a little as she took in the other's pale blue eyes and dark hair, so pretty and young by the senses of it...probably a little over half of the redhead's own age in terms of resurrected life.
The other girl asked her who she was and she smiled for a slight moment, transforming her face for a moment to a brighter and happier version. It was easy to see why she had been so pretty, but after a moment the smile faded and the happiness retreated again.
"I am Aella, and this is Asher. And, if you don't mind my asking, who are you?" Vega tucked some of her hair behind one ear and she extended her hand out towards Aella.
"My full name, or what I can remember of it is Vega Endzela. I was born...and I died, as it is with all of us I'm afraid." She said gently before stretching a little and sighing. "I am really starting to feel my age now, ten centuries is a long time to hang around for before finding companions. However the tides are...turbulent and we cannot afford to lose." She added, her head tilting to just the right angle for them to see the scar on her left temple.

"Wait a minute... Vega Endzela...? Haven't I heard that name before?" Asher muttered, his voice becoming audible on the second question. Asher kept thinking. Where... Where have I heard that name before?!?! Asher scratched his head, careful not to use the hand with the flame. Asher then closed his eyes, trying to picture that name. "... Argh.. I can't remember..."

"I can always try, what do you need me to do? My name is Vega, though my nickname of sorts...is Pax." The woman answered as she hesitatly shook Asher's hand, her discomfort very obvious. But when she turned to Aella the tention faded and was replaced by a pleasent, beautiful smile. "My full name, or what I can remember of it is Vega Endzela. I was born...and I died, as it is with all of us I'm afraid." Aella shook her hand politely, and could feel how both their hands were trembling. Pax stretched a little and sighed softly. "I am really starting to feel my age now, ten centuries is a long time to hang around for before finding companions. However the tides are...turbulent and we cannot afford to lose."

Aella barely registered that she had spoken. She was bothered by something, but she couldn't quite grasp what this something was. It was on the tip of her tongue but her memory was failing her. It was something related to her past life... but what? Asher also seemed to be bothered. "Wait a minute... Vega Endzela...? Haven't I heard that name before?" Asher muttered, so softly that only Aella who had been standing right next to him could have heard it. "... Argh.. I can't remember..."

Suddenly Aella gasped. Vega Endzela! She knew that story far too well! Could this possibly be the woman who's tragic tale had been used to save Aella in her previous life?

"I know who you are!" Aella exclaimed suddenly, "Your tale is told so often I almost cannot believe I didn't guess it by your face!" Aella looked at Pax with awestruck wonder. "You were the young woman who was married to a man older because it benifited your family; who's husband murdered because he was frusturated when you were unable to provide him children quickly!" Aella touched her heart earnestly, spouting information with a passion. "When they found you, many seasons after the lake had dried up, your family was infuriated and your tale was told all over the land as a testimony against arranged marriages!"

"Your story saved many a girl's hand from a stranger; the hand of my sister and many other girls from a similar fate. Hundreds, nay, thousands of tales are told with your mentioned tragedy, speaking against marriage at such a young tender age and to a stranger! At every wedding I've ever attended the groom swore upon his life never to treat his bride as your husband did you! You saved even mine life from marriage when suitors tried to convince my parents to marry me off to one of them!" Her glittering eyes looked over the idol standing before her in awe and solemn respect. "I never doubted you had once lived, but you passed away long before my birth and I had never thought I'd meet you, much less be allied to you!"

Aella was so moved tears were in her eyes. Perhaps this was strange, but Aella had never wanted to marry nor bear children, and it was sole because of this woman's legacy that she was saved from being forced into such a binding. For this Aella would never be able to thank Pax enough.

"Haven't I heard that name before?" She caught the last part of Asher's words and she turned her head back to him for a moment, his name also niggling at a part of her mind that she had long overlooked. That rebellion long ago...it had something to do with his name, she just knew it. "... Argh.. I can't remember..."
"Were you in the rebellion, from before?" She asked gently, and most likely, very cryptically before the other girl shook her hand and seemed to recognise her name also because the younger woman gasped.

When the darker haired girl exclaimed, Vega jumped a little and her heart floundered in her chest for a moment.
"I know who you are!" The more she listened to the younger girl, the more she felt ill over her past. At the passing mention that she could not give her husband children she gripped her tunic dress in both hands, but her hands released the fabric almost immediately at the telling of her family's fury. She opened her mouth to say something, but the awestruck girl kept going and the redhead couldn't help but feel a little ambushed as her dirty laundry was aired for all to hear.

She pinched the bridge of her nose a little as the Aella continued and said that Vega's tale was told as a testimony against arranged marriages.
"Your story saved many a girl's hand from a stranger; the hand of my sister and many other girls from a similar fate. Hundreds, nay, thousands of tales are told with your mentioned tragedy, speaking against marriage at such a young tender age and to a stranger!..." In fact it seemed that her death had even become part of the wedding vows for the younger female's generation!
"You saved even mine life from marriage when suitors tried to convince my parents to marry me off to one of them!" Pax grew uncomfortable under the other's awe inspired, respectful gaze as she felt like a charlatan. Her life was not of concern to her it was the two babies whom had been forfeited, did her little angels not matter in this sad tale? Or had their existence been lost through endless re-tellings of their sorry end?

"I never doubted you had once lived, but you passed away long before my birth and I had never thought I'd meet you, much less be allied to you!" Pax let out a noise that had several feelings mixed into it....pain and guilt being the main two that were easily heard.
"Forgive me Aella, but the tale has two even more tragic twists. They are the most important part of the reason for my lake visits. I fear I am not the great woman that others built me up to be. Those people forgot the two most important things to share my life force...if only for a brief time. I fear that I should not have returned, if I am this high profile among others I won't be able to fade into the background like I desire to." Vega said carefully, her voice so raw in patches that one thought that she might cry, but her face remained semi-blank. Her children had passed before her, and she would now protect the children that were still alive...that was her duty.

"My death...was a little violent, and I suppose I could have gone to either side. However I did indeed live, love and die, only to live again. Now that you have met me...you could say that I am quite ordinary you know. I do hope though, that I do not look like my body did when they found me...otherwise I would be in a sorry state indeed. At least it helped others, although...do you know what happened to the two large stones sitting tide by side near my husband's house? I went to find them but they were gone."Vega blurted out, shivering violently for a moment before fidgeting a bit as she spotted the tears in the Aella's pale blue eyes. Although Vega had been forced to marry, she had done so for the greater good of her family...and that was always what was dictating her actions. A strong maternal instinct and the desire to protect those who could not protect themselves.

"Were you in a rebellion?" That question knocked Asher's forehead back into a tree. "You mean the rebellion years ago?" Asher asked. He closed his eyes, flipping through that book of a thousand names of each member know the real army sll those years before.

Vega... Vega.. Vega Pax Endzela!! Asher remembered now. "You were in that same rebel army, weren't you, Pax? That one against King Julian? You do realize yiu are one of the very few left who lived through that first-handedly, besides myself?" Aella now saw her error; Pax didn't like her past and Aella had fail to take that into accout. She had just been so thrilled... Aella's eyes fell to the ground. "I apologize. It was not my intention to make you uncomfortable. I only knew it was you because I had seen a picture, once. But it was lost when..." Aella hesitated, her tongue feeling three times it's real size with every word until she stopped. "...It got lost."

I suspect they were moved when a mob, rallied by your infuriated family, went and 'questioned' your husband, if they held any importance to you." Aella would have said more but Asher spoke up. "You mean the rebellion years ago?" Pax nodded as Asher asked her a question in return to clarify which rebellion she truly meant. He closed his eyes and she studied him for a moment before his eyes snapped open and he spoke again.
"You were in that same rebel army, weren't you, Pax? That one against King Julian? You do realize yiu are one of the very few left who lived through that first-handedly, besides myself?" Vega looked a little shocked as he told her that she was one of the few left from the original rebellion.
"I thought more of us had survived...I really have been out of the loop haven't I? To not know that so many of us perished back then..." She mused out loud before he went on to say more about their involvement in the rebel forces that had fought against the first tyrant.

When he apologised for his talkativeness, she shook her head slightly.
"It is alright, although we do have more pressing matters to attend to...like helping our allies to retreat back to a safe zone." She reminded them gently, before she realised that she had hurt Aella in the process of their conversation beforehand.
"I apologize. It was not my intention to make you uncomfortable. I only knew it was you because I had seen a picture, once. But it was lost when..." Pax smiled softly and reached out to put her hand on Aella's shoulder. "...It got lost."
"I shouldn't have been so...rude to you Aella, my long years alone have made me a little less of a champion. However I ask that you forgive me, and is there still a possibility of us becoming friends? There were pictures of me?" She said, feeling guilty for disillusioning the other young woman so abruptly.

"No, I am sorry, but I've never heard of two stones. I suspect they were moved when a mob, rallied by your infuriated family, went and 'questioned' your husband, if they held any importance to you." Vega smiled sadly and put her head beside Aella's ear, as if to share a secret.
"The two stones...were where my babies laid in eternal sleep...if I find where they were, I could take you to visit them...after all, it is the least I can do for someone whom showed me respect even though I was rude. I can at least try and share this with the younger generation...so to speak." She whispered in the other girl's ear warmly, it was an enormous step for Pax to take, offering to let another mourn for her children...when she had been doing it for so long on her own.

(Ooc: I thought I would sneak in a little bonding moment between the two girls there, I hope you don't mind lol)

(That's alright. Now comes the comic relief!)
"I thought more of us had survived...I really have been out of the loop haven't I? To not know that so many of us perished back then..." Pax thought out loud. Asher was gonna reply, but Aella brought up Pax's legend again, apologizing about bring it up. Asher waited until she was done, then spoke up again.

"Yeah... You obviously were out of the loop. You wanna know how the last push went? The whole army stormed the castle. I got to the throne room to find the bastard wasn't there, and I called for a retreat. Then the whole castle burst into flames, killing off a large chunk of our forces. Then you know what happened? The tyrant showed up and massacred even more Immortali. I finally challenged him to a duel and I managed to kill him. I still have his ashes today.." And my friends' as well... Asher mentally added. His voice was grim, but he really wasn't affected by telling what had transpired on the last mission of that generation of God's Immortali. "Oh... and I got this pain in the ass as a reward for killing the Devil's Immortali as well." Asher added, verbally this time.

Asher riased his hand and closed his eyes in concentration. His shadow moved, then split itself into two. The second shadow began to move from the ground and into the air, making a body of itself. "Say hello to.... My annoying twin brother... Dark Asher." Asher said, his voice filled with annoyance. Dark Asher leapt when his whole body was formed and stabbed a tree with a battle cry.

"YAAA- Wait... Asher, damnit! at least let me into the battle first!" Dark Asher exclaimed, then he saw Pax. He pulled his sword out from the tree bark and sheathed his sword. "Well heeeeeeloooooooo there, miss..." the Dark Side said, bowing. "How do you do in this fine ev-"

In annoyance, Asher commanded the wind to slice off a heavy branch over Dark Asher's head. "Dark Asher, Pax. Pax, my annoying dark side. He's an idiot and is very flirtious... In fact, he's pathetically flirtious and horny around women. Aella, you might want to move back as well if you want to protect what's precious to you most."

"Hey! I take offense to that!" Dark Asher yelled at Asher, whose face didn't change expressions. "Now..." Dark Asher went to Pax and held her wrist, but gently. "So why don't you and me go out and have a good time, eh?" Asher used every little bit of patience and discipline to keep himself from burning his dark side's butt off.

(OOC: Nope, not at all! :3)

"I shouldn't have been so... rude to you Aella, my long years alone have made me a little less of a champion. However I ask that you forgive me, and is there still a possibility of us becoming friends? There were pictures of me?" "It would be a privillage to befriend you. After all, we are alies now, right? Perhaps we can find another picture. I'm sure there is a paint or two somewhere. Perhaps when this war is won we can find it." Aella said, heartened. But Pax surprised her when she leaned forward and whispered in Aella's ear, "The two stones... were where my babies laid in eternal sleep... if I find where they were, I could take you to visit them... after all, it is the least I can do for someone whom showed me respect even though I was rude. I can at least try and share this with the younger generation... so to speak." Aella smiled sadly, touching Pax's hand gently in away a close friend would. "I would love to go and mourn with you."

Asher's story about his great victory over evil pulled Aella's focus from Pax to him just as he was wrapping his tale up. "...I still have his ashes today. Oh, and I got this pain in the ass as a reward for killing the Devil's Immortali as well." Asher added, raising his hand and closing his eyes for a moment. Shadows began to move and Asher said with a note of sacrasm, "Say hello to... My annoying twin brother... Dark Asher." Suddenly a dark form, supposedly Dark Asher, leapt foreward and stabbed a tree just a few feet behind Aella with a shout, making her gasp in surprise and leap away. Instantly her bow was in hand and an arrow aimed at the newcomer's heart, a sharp pain shooting through her arm, until Aella realized he wasn't a threat and the weapons vanished.

"YAAA- Wait... Asher, damnit! at least let me into the battle first!" Dark Asher exclaimed, then caught sight of Pax, pulling his sword out of the tree trunk and sheathing it. "Well heeeeeelloooooooo there, miss..." the Dark Side said, bowing over dramtically. "How do you do in this fine ev-" Suddenly there was a gust of wind and a branch snapped, falling directly onto Dark Asher's head. Aella's eyes slid to Asher who looking very annoyed and she guessed the branch hadn't given out on it's own. "Dark Asher, Pax. Pax, my annoying dark side. He's an idiot and is very flirtious... In fact, he's pathetically flirtious and horny around women. Aella, you might want to move back as well if you want to protect what's precious to you most."

Aella's eyes went wide and her arm came up to cover her breasts as if Dark Asher could see directly through her clothes, then took a step or two back away from the darker form. "Hey! I take offense to that!" Then Dark Asher yelled at Asher before turning the Pax and wrapping his hand around her wrist. Aella's eyes went wider than they already were and her mouth opened slightly, yet no words of warning came out. He obviously had no idea who Pax was. "Now... why don't you and me go out and have a good time, eh?" Asher seemed to be grinding his teeth, but said nothing either, so Aella held her tongue with great restraint. Though she didn't recognize it, there was a small feeling deep within her heart where the dark smug in her soul resided; and it was reatching for this shadow.

Her bonding moment with Aella touched her very soul and Vega smiled gently.
"That sounds like a very nice plan...go hunting for a painting after this is all over. However, I will commission one of you while we're at it. So we can both have pictures of each other." She said, almost giggling before the younger female agreed to go and mourn with her once she found the two stones. However, she then had to turn her attention elsewhere as Asher began to speak and the redhead patted Aella's hand gratefully.

Pax listened as Asher told her the end of the battle and she rubbed a hand over her mouth, shaking her head slightly.
"I remember trying to make so many walls...I grabbed the water from everywhere, trying to keep the Devil's Immortali at bay, but they crashed through...I fell off the bridge to the castle. P-Pain in the rear? What do you-.....oh....darkness." She looked at his hand warily and then his shadow moved and separated itself into two. A young man grew out of the shadow and she gasped in surprise as this...Dark Asher leaped and stabbed a tree with a battle cry.

When Dark Asher turned his attentions to her, she started to back away from him. This person...was someone whom inspired nightmares, she had no doubts of this. He sheathed his sword and bowed, she nodded stiffly in acknowledgement before making a small sound of surprise and something akin to worry as a tree branch fell on his head.
"Dark Asher, Pax. Pax, my annoying dark side. He's an idiot and is very flirtious... In fact, he's pathetically flirtious and horny around women. Aella, you might want to move back as well if you want to protect what's precious to you most." Her orange-brown eyes darkened as Aella covered her chest and she let out a feral noise when Dark Asher's hand wrapped around her wrist gently.

Her eyes went as wide as they could and she clenched one of her small fists, ice encasing it, almost like a gauntlet before spikes of ice shot up all over her arm, becoming densely concentrated all around where she was being held. She shuddered violently before moving her ice encased hand up to try and touch his chest, hoping to be able to flash freeze him. Her fear....it was almost palpable, she looked up at him for a moment, her pupils so dilated that there was only a small ring of dark orange and her face so pale that it was almost grey.

"Release me....or I shall turn you to an ice pincushion where you stand." She hissed lowly, feeling a little like a caged lion as the ground around her began to ice over. She was in fight or flight mode...and she had no qualms with protecting herself to the fullest extent.

However, she remembered that she had company and she flexed her hand, the ice falling from her fist almost instantly. She took in a deep breath and her heart thundered along, still propelled by the fear and adrenalin. She bit the inside of her cheek for a moment before she tried yanking her arm away from the dark haired, crimson eyed shadow man.

Asher's eye started to twitch as he watched Dark Asher flirt with Pax. "Dark Asher, stop flirting with new recruits."

"Stop before I turn you into an ice pincushion where you stand." Pax threatened. Asher pondered for a few minutes about that idea, and smiled. He moved his hands again, and Asher made icicles surrounding Dark Asher. Asher said "I'll do it if she won't." With a sardonic smile. Immediately, Dark Asher raised his hands up in surrender and went back to Asher. He began to sink into his shadow and fused with Asher's. "now you know what I have to deal with ever. Single. Day." Asher sighed and shook his head.

Unbeknownst to anyone else, Dark Asher sensed a dark side manifesting within Aella. Instead of pointing it out to everyone, Dark Asher kept it secret. Maybe I can use that to my advantage... Dark Asher thought. And maybe get a girl (FINALLY!) in the process. Dark Asher mentally chuckled.

Re: The Tale of Immortali

Does no one listen to me when I throw up giant semispheres of darkness?

Re: The Tale of Immortali

zody, I'm going to throw out a few words and phrases, see if any of them stick.
Clone.
Equal power, less restraint.
The creator fearing the creation.
DARKNESS.

Tl;dr, Darius' shadow sense comes from his total mastery of the dark and unknown. He and his clone are the only two who have that ability. Also, the reason Darius fears the clone is because it lacks the restraint he has, but all the strength and skill. The only thing that keeps him using the damn thing is that it only has a certain amount of magic it can use before it dissipates. It bypasses this by using the darkness around it to reduce the amount of magic it needs to use. Your character decided that they were going to use two magics, and therefore hasn't learned what Darius and the clone know by half. There's a reason the clone could easily wrest your tendrils away from you with nary a second thought: Your character knows darkness. Darius and the clone might as well BE darkness. Alex can't see in the darkness(I'm going to assume the only things that actually boost power are training and certain artifacts for channeling, NOT the darkness you use as a weapon. And Kumo's already specified as nothing but a collapsible scythe with a little extra, and if you claim it an amp now, I'll have to call BS.), and even if he could, this is pure darkness. No light to make a shadow for him to sense. The clone can only see because, as said earlier, DARKNESS. Notice I specified Darius(the master of all things dark and scary) as having the ability to sense shadows, not the ability to see in the dark. In total darkness, he's just as blind as anyone else, which is why it's an escape mechanism. Something wrought from the dark, however, lacks that weakness.

Re: The Tale of Immortali

That, or devil's Immortalis, God's Immortalis, angel, demon, or human.

Oh God.... Typing on a BlackBerry PlayBook is harder than on IPhone! X.x

Re: The Tale of Immortali

If this RP isn't dead, you could always create a Character for Alex's Personal Assitant/ Chief Maid if you wanted.

Re: The Tale of Immortali

Hey there! Per your request, I'd will submit a character.
Is there any spots that need filled so I know where to start.

Re: The Tale of Immortali

Right. I'll create it as soon as I can.

Edit: I made the Phoenix Mansion. You now have somewhere to live in.

Re: The Tale of Immortali

Just a quick question:

What's the 'Castle of Immortals' ?

EDIT: Forget the question, I think I got it now, lol. I'd ask if you could add 'The Phoenix Mansion' to Places, but it hasn't been used by anyone other than me aside from Mira's Post.

Re: The Tale of Immortali

Oh, okay. I had assumed that you would have suited up the clone in full shadow body armor. But if he's wearing the exact same thing as his creator then I will take that into perspective. Pardon me a moment as I go back and edit my post. :) And thank you for informing me of my misconception.
EDIT: Is that better?

Re: The Tale of Immortali

UltraVioleta, look at the picture I set up for Darius on his Cheet. He ONLY has a shoulder guard and shield. The helmet doesn't really count. the only thing impenetrable about his defense is his having over 1000 years to train against anything Hell had to offer, up to Beelzebub himself. This was BEFORE Satan made him an Immortalis.

Re: The Tale of Immortali

I'm completely fine with her hitting the clone like that, after all, it's just solidified darkness, and it's not as easy for Darius to manipulate a clone as well as he could an illusion.

Re: The Tale of Immortali

Don't worry. Their perspective is independent from what's going on in our side... As far as I know anyway. XD

Re: The Tale of Immortali

Oh crap >_<' I didn't see that our characters were frozen until after I posted. Sorry! I won't post anymore until Mira comes back.

Re: The Tale of Immortali

I've put in a character application, but just to make sure it's okay...I submitted it because your forum put up a thread looking for Rpers and I hope I pass the muster. Nice to meet you all by the way. :)
If there's anything wrong with the character's application I can tweak it, just let me know...I guess. o.o

Re: The Tale of Immortali

That is understandable, and, in all honesty, I can't do anything about it since MiraMija's character is an important character in this roleplay. Your characters are considered to be frozen until Mira starts posting again.

Re: The Tale of Immortali

Just a notice, I won't be posting until MiraMija does due to the fact that nobody else has interacted with Alex. So until they post or someone else interacts with Alex, I'll be on standby.

EDIT: Also, unless someone else wants to, I may be creating a character for Alex's Personal Assistant. So if anyone wants to take it that doesn't already have a character, spot's open.

Re: The Tale of Immortali

I got my character edited up, and Darius is now ready for the assault on humanity.

Re: The Tale of Immortali

Sorry, I won't be able to post until tomorrow. I was recruited to go camping with my family and I won't be home until tomorrow. Is that alright?

Re: The Tale of Immortali

He's still new to this place. I'm editing his posts when he needs it so there won't be anymore one-liners.

I'm giving everyone three warnings. After that, they're offed. Sorry about that.
